Well, after reading for hours, I decided what the heck, I'll try it. I am 53, get alot of bloating after eating, have toe nail fungus-all 10, probaly athletes feet, sore joints-almost all of them, a pounding headache the other day, which thank god I seldom get. Swelling in the left ankle and calf. I did just a bit less than 1/8 teaspoon, into a glass of almond milk. Drank in down slowly while watching tv. That was wednesday nite, didnt take any thursday, and today {Friday}when I went to get groceries, walking down the aisle, all of a sudden I noticed my hips didnt hurt at all as usual. I also did Borax and water to soak my feet while watching tv. Tonite I will repeat the process, this time rubbing the borax in over my feet after soaking them, and getting around the nail beds better with a small brush. I feel sure that sooner or later this or one of these homemade cures will work, so far my hips are much happier. I've done all the store otc for the feet problem-nothing worked. I continue to read exstensively on this Borax subject.

Am I the only one questioning all these remedies coming from one person only? It's great Ted gives his opinion and maybe tried successfully the borax way. I just wonder why there is no other professional opinion (not from pharma paid doctors but alternative health practioners).

I agree many suggestion are great but others I am not sure and it does raise question why everyone would just trust one person and go buy borax in laundry section. At least I've seen a couple of confused peopel on here.

Borax Dosage in Milligrams

For Taquir, I measured 1/8 teaspoon and 1/4 teaspoon amounts of 20 Mule Team Borax from the local grocery on a Precision Professional Digital Mini Scale ____ (This scale cost me about $30. retail in Florida, USA).

Since lumps in the Borax are compacted and Borax is a comparatively heavy substance, I mashed the lumps in the Borax powder loose before measuring (Clearly from the following measurements I must have missed a few tinies though). Since this Borax has about the same toxicity as table salt, I am sure the minute difference is negligible in effect.

My procedure was: Wack the lumps, fill the scoop, level off the scoop, then pour contents of the scoop into tare container and measure weight. The tare container was cleared of debris before each measurement.

Here are my measurement results:

  • 1/4 teaspoon 20 Mule Team weighs .73 grams, or 730 milligrams
  • 1/8 teaspoon 20 Mule Team weighs.34 grams, or 340 milligrams

So Bangkok Ted recommends 1/4 teaspoon Borax per litre of water for men, and 1/8 teaspoon Borax per litre of water for women.

Namaste, Linda

TO Artlover8 from Lakewood, Co, Jefferson: You are experiencing the die off of candida and it sounds like you have a severe systemic case. Look into adding iodine (I spray it on my skin and wear dark clothing), organic virgin coconut oil (eat it and rub on itchy skin), and molybdenum (I melt it under my tongue) to help ease the side effects. Hard as it is to deal with the die off, it is worth it in the long run to be free of the fungus that causes so many maladies.

I had the worst problem with an itchy scalp for the longest time. I felt compelled to wash my hair at least every other day, sometimes daily because it would make me so crazy! Then, a couple of years ago here on EC, I read about borax for your scalp and decided to try it. Voila! It worked- no more itchy scalp. I would still wash my hair fairly frequently then, I learned of oiling your hair also here on EC. I researched that concept and then started doing that. I found that I no longer needed to wash my hair very often. Maybe every four days now. Somehow the oiling seemed to balance my scalp out and it no longer gets dry or oily or itchy. Lisa

I have been taking the borax for a couple of weeks now. Started very slow because of severe reactions. The reactions died down after a few days and I started to get really positive results in terms of energy. I felt like I had more energy than I have had for years and for the first time in years I was able to exercise, which felt great. I also had less trouble with allergies. However the pain from my endometriosis is much worse and I am due to have my period in a day or so and the pain is almost unbearable. This also happened when I took progestrone cream which is meant to help. I feel really sad because I felt like I was getting my life back. I have read that borax increases estrogen which is not good for endometrosis but I have also read that it should balance estrogen rather than increase it. Can Ted or someone please please help me? Boric Acid Vs Borax
Posted by Misty (Somewhere, Indiana, Usa) on 07/04/2012

Boric acid's chemical formula is H3BO3; there is no sodium (Na) in boric acid. The chemical formula for borax is Na2B4O7·10H2O or Na2[B4O5(OH)4]·8H2O. Other names for borax include sodium tetraborate, disodium tetraborate, and sodium borate. Thus, you have gotten your hands on an oddly named version of borax :)

While I don't doubt that there are often impediments in place to prevent natural remedies from taking off, there are multiple countries that have been involved in bans and lawsuites regarding MMS. From what I have found, it is essentially industrial strength bleach. Wikipedia has a decent summary with multiple references you can check out for yourself. While I know we are all eager to find solutions for our ailments, we have to be wary of so-called miracle cures. On a different note, I'm excited to try borax for my atopic dermatitis after having read about it for the last couple hours! :)

Rosacea

I have done two things for rosacea. One is I put some colloidal silver on the affected areas. Mine went into my eyes (occular rosasia) therefore I put a drop into each eye and it did cure it. However, the thing I have done the most is to take a warm/hot soaky bath in the tub. Depending on the size of your tub put in from 1/2 to 2 cups Epsom salts and 1/4 cup baking soda. Soak from 20 to 30 minutes 3 times a week. Take a face cloth and rub the water everywhere especially on the affected areas. It killed everything wrong with my skin including athlete's foot and scaley skin. It took all the arthritis discomfort all over my body including my feet. My skin is so nice. People are guessing me to be around 15 years younger than I actually am.

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

Hi, I have suffered with various problems for the last 15 years, ME, chronic fatigue and diarrhea, endometriosis, adhesions on my bowel. I have not taken the advice of my doctor to go on hormonel treatment to stop my periods because all intervention that I have had in the past seem to have made things worse. I have spent a lot of money on alternative health trying to make things better but nothing as helped. I thought that taking the Borax might help though I was quite nervous about this. I bought a very pure one and I used about half the recommened dose. I only put a pinch in a quarter of a liter of water. I must have drank about half of a small glass and I stopped because I started to get some reactions.

Firstly my stomach is always swollen and sore but it almost became worse straight away, with a bubbling noise all over, later that night all painful areas flared up and I was coughing a lot, it was like my body was trying to clear something. Today I have terrible diarrhea to the point of passing water, whilst my stools are always loose, this is different, I have had to run to the toilet within an hour of eating. Because my stomach is tender anyway, things are really painful today. The one thing that does feel quite a bit better is that I can breath, for the first time in ages my sinuses feel clear. I suffer from allergies and my nose is always blocked. I cannot believe that such a small dose of anything could have such an impact and wonder why you think this might be? I read a lot of stuff here about the borax before taking it and I know that some people do have diarrhea as a side effect, though I did hear someone else say that it made their stools darker and more formed which was my hope. I just can't believe that something this small, it was a pinch in loads of water of which I only drank a small amount could do this. I don't think I can carry on and I am wondering what to do. It seems that what ever I try just seems to make it worse. I tried peppermint oil a while ago which seemed to help a bit but then the diarrhea got worse and my food started come through undigested. Please any idea as to what might be happening here and why such a small dose could have caused this to happen?

Thanks Linda

I think it is worth highlighting that the dosages mentioned by that study I. E. 0.1mg/ml - 0.6mg/ml refers to concentrations of borax in BLOOD not WATER. Given that borax is very poorly absorbed and we have approx 4200ml of blood in our bodies, it would need huge quantities of borax ingested to approach anywhere near the concentrations suggested by that experiment.

Here is some thing that may be of interest to go along with these comments about borax. There is a alternative on the internet that is or was relative easy to get and it works because I have used it on myself and my dogs. It is called mms now and it used to be called by its chem name of sodium clorete, used in water treatment for years. This man named Jim humble used it here in the U.S., South America, Africa and other countrys and it is still being used extensively over seas. He has a web site and there was a free ebook down load(over i20 pages. There was a doctor over 50 years ago that used this, I had a sister and a uncle that did the treatment and was cured. It works but it tastes horrible to me. I had a dog that I think contacted this west nile virus and after 3 trips to the vet that was wasted money I mixed some with dsmo and gave him 3shots 1 each and he completly recovered. Jim says that it will kill malaria fever in 36 hrs. He has cured aids, hepatitis b and c. He says it will kill all kinds of parasites internally. He says it will stop or neturalize poisons, he said he gave a dog some that was bitten by a snake and he didn't get sick. I have another dog that came home sick could hardly get around, didn't eat only drank a little water for two days. I don't what she had got into but I gave her the same dosage that I gave the other dog and by the third day she was back to normal. I think she may have gotten into some poison. I think it would be to your benefit not mine to go on his web site and down load the ebook if it is still available.

A quick Google check reveals that a teaspoon of borax is equivalent to 5 ml. At 1/4 tsp a day for men, that means ingestion of only 1.25 ml per day. For women, the recommended usage is half that amount.

This is in the order of 1% of the theoretical toxic dose - hardly threatening.

Colleen, if you are fact checking, then you should check all relevant facts.

Yes, the borax works. It kills off amobia (parasites) body-wide. For me that meant ITP (low platelets) which is fatal in older people about half the time. It means any other amobia that affects the person such as for fibro. Many people use Ted's remedy for body wide detoxification of amobia (parasites).

1/8-teaspoon (1/4-teaspoon for people over 180-pounds) borax (sodium tetraborate, sodium borate, or disodium tetraborate) into 1 liter of distilled water. Sip throughout the day. Five days a week and take two days off. No longer than 30-days. Take a break. When this water is gone drink other plain water.

Hi Becky, thanks for relaying your experience.. It has given me hope for my rheumatoid arthritis! I have been taking a licked fingertip of Borax mixed in an ACV/honey hot toddy every evening for 5 days and, while I'm not getting any Borax side effects, I'm not feeling any pain relief either. I know it was ages ago now, but just wondering if you remember how long you had to take it for before you felt any benefit? Ted has said 4 days on, 3 days off but I think I'm going to go for broke and keep going! :) Did you take it with breaks or consistently? I'm a bit leery of taking it daily for weeks on end...

Hope you are still in good health.. And that it may have even gone away!

Curious to know why borax is one of the most important remedies to kill fungus and nano-bacteria? Us too! We asked our independent contributor Ted from Bangkok for clarification on why borax is an important home remedy to consider in certain cases like dog mange, lupus and rosacea.

Ted's replied: "There are a lot of evidence why borax is effective against nearly all forms of fungus, whether they be mycoplasma found in lupus, rosacea, dog mange, interstitial cystitis plasmodium parasites, Morgellons disease, or even pneumonia. I think borax medicine is one of the medicines most ignored, misinformed or even suppressed in our present society. The authorities have done it so well that very few know that the toxicity of borax is about equal to that of simple table salt.

I have seen almost daily, people dying of pneumonia (James Brown died a couple of days ago), a Thai actor got his brains eaten by a plasmodium, for example. The possible cure is relatively simple: borax. Every time I see people dying, borax always come to mind, and you probably see why. Even health experts such as Dr. Batmanhelidj (Your Body Cries for Water) got pneumonia, as so did Bob Hope and Buddy Ebsen (Beverly HillBilly). I think pneumonia kills just as many people, it's just that cancer and heart disease take greater billboard area. Because of the way the medical system is structured, heart disease and cancer is more profitable, and a simple magnesium and pH may have helped both problems in prevention and possibly cure (I have seen this on many occasions) for a lot less cost.

Below is one of the many interesting articles concerning borax, which mentions the use of borax against fungus, a well known fact amongst microbiologists but totally unknown to the public.

The second article mentions about the use of borax against the dreaded an incurable plasmodium related organism, a common parasites in human. Never mind about its own effectiveness when combined with hydrogen peroxide in the use of dog mange! Ted"

PIONEER MAGAZINE
Borax Versus Killer Fungus
January 1994

Conifer forests are threatened all over the northern hemisphere by the tiny, ubiquitous spores of a naturally occurring fungus called Heterobasidion annosum. This disease, better known as Fomes, has reached epidemic proportions in Scandinavia, and is a growing menace in the managed forests of Canada, United States, Britain, and Russia. Fomes rots the roots and heartwood of growing trees. It could be called the acid rain of the fungus world.

Supporting the UK's Forestry Commission, Borax Group scientists Kieran Quill and Jeff Lloyd are fighting back against Fomes, and discovering how to do so with maximum effectiveness and economy. Their principal weapons are Tim-bor (disodium octaborate tetrahydrate) and the analytical capacity of the Borax Research laboratories.

Fomes cannot live freely in soil nor can it infect live trees except through root contact or wounds. Its spores however can colonize freshly cut stumps - both the "thinnings" which are essential as forests mature and the stumps left when the crop is finally felled.

The spores are produced by hoof-shaped fruiting bodies near ground level at a daily rate of about six million per square centimeter. Because these spores can be dispersed over distances of at least 300 miles, Fomes can be considered ubiquitous in most managed forests. Once established the fungus can remain viable in a stump for decades, posing a continuous threat to any conifer growing or planted near it. Fomes can survive both extreme cold and extreme heat.

But how are healthy trees infected? Fomes spores germinate on the stump surface, whence the fungus gradually colonizes the root system of the felled tree. From there it enters the root systems of living trees that are in contact with the stump's roots, causing both roots and heartwood to decay, eventually killing the tree.

The fungus is almost impossible to eradicate, except by the removal of all stumps soon after felling - an expensive and rarely practicable option. However, germination of spores on the surface of stumps can be stopped by chemical and biological agents. In the past, this has been carried out manually by the tree feller, but now with increasing mechanization, the requirements have changed. Today a material is needed that can be sprayed automatically onto the stump while the harvesting machine is actually severing the tree. The material must give value for money, be easy to obtain, have low mammalian toxicity, be non-corrosive and environmentally benign.

Among several fungicides tested, borates have consistently given good control. Tim-bor (known as Tim-Bor® in North America) and borax are the only chemicals to have EPA approval for the control of Fomes in the U.S. However materials that are effective over large areas of North America may behave differently in northern Europe where rainfall, climatic conditions and forest management techniques could result in a completely different set of disease and control characteristics. In the light of this, the UK Forestry Commission and the Borax Group have carried out trials in Scotland with the object of determining borate efficacy. What is the threshold at which Tim-bor becomes toxic to the fungus? How little will do the trick?

Undiseased Sitka spruce near Peebles, Scotland were felled and their stumps were treated with Tim-bor at four percent, two percent, one percent, 0.5 percent, or with water. Twenty-four hours later Fomes was applied dropwise by hypodermic syringe.

The stumps were left to mature for a year, during which time samples of wood were regularly extracted with a core borer for borate analysis. At the end of a year, the amount of stump colonized by Fomes was measured on a one inch thick disc cut from a standard depth. Each disc was incubated at 10°C to 15°C for ten days.

During incubation, fruiting structures of the fungus emerge from infected wood. These can be seen quite easily under a dissecting microscope, and allow any diseased zones of the stump to be mapped. A comparison of the measured diseased areas on the sample discs provides a means of judging the success of a particular treatment.

All analytical work for the project was carried out at the Borax Research laboratories in Chessington (UK).

The results from this experiment indicate that at a borate concentration of around four percent, the mean area of infected heartwood was reduced from 22 percent to less than 0.5 percent. This represented less than one square centimeter, an insignificant inoculum. However, at concentrations of two percent and below, no significant control occurred. In an earlier experiment it was found that a concentration of five percent totally prevented infection. So a working concentration of four to five percent of Tim-bor is indicated for full disease control.

As a result of this research, Tim-bor is being assessed for full commercial application by the UK Forestry Commission, and has aroused widespread interest across Europe."

Of Cabbages And Things
February 1999

Plasmodiophora brassicae are nasty little beasts of uncertain origins. They may relate to the protozoa, single celled organisms which are neither plants nor animals, and are only a few thousandths of a millimeter wide and long. Most of their relatives in this microscopic world are harmless, but some distant cousins are Plasmodium species, which cause malaria in humans and Amoeba species which cause dysentery. Plasmodiophora brassicae's parasitic way of life is to attack vegetables of the brassica family, causing the debilitating clubroot disease. Now, evidence is emerging that boron might play an important part in keeping its effects in check.

Crops of the brassica family are of enormous worldwide importance. Arguably they are second only to cereals in their contribution to human diet and welfare. They range from the cabbages, cauliflowers, calabrese and brussels sprouts familiar in the western world, to a wide array of leafy and root vegetables widespread in India, China and Japan. The Chinese cabbage, for example, is one of the most important foodstuffs of the Orient. Much of the world supply of vegetable oil comes from rape and mustard seed, while swedes (rutabagas) and turnips are important animal fodder crops in Europe and North America.

There wouldn't be much of a problem hosting a parasite like Plasmodiophora if it didn't have such rampant and dire side effects. In clubroot disease, the plant roots are distorted by massive galls, which inhibit water and nutrient uptake. The grossly deformed roots sap carbohydrates from the leaves and deprive developing flowers. The foliage turns bluish-green, then yellow and then wilts: the plant is past the point of no return and nothing can restore it to health.

Not surprisingly, this is responsible for drastic crop losses and poor quality. It is also virtually impossible, certainly in intensively-farmed regimes, to eradicate the parasite from the soil in which it spends much of its lifecycle.

When Plasmodiophora spores germinate in the soil, the tiny organisms swim around and as soon as they meet a root hair they attach and inject their own cell contents into the root. The genetic material multiplies inside the plant, and it is believed that this presence upsets the host hormone metabolism and leads to uncontrolled cell growth - almost a plant cancer. Once established and now mature, the parasites release billions of new spores back into the soil. It is a very robust lifecycle which is almost impossible to break.

There are clues too that Plasmodiophora may incorporate DNA from the host - perhaps a reason why biological control methods or genetically- induced protection methods have not yet been found. The traditional ways of controlling Plasmodiophora, either heavy liming (that is, adding quantities of calcium), alternative crop rotations or better soil drainage, similarly have only limited effect.

This is where boron comes in. The element is an essential plant nutrient, and it is well known that boron-healthy plants are better able to resist disease-causing organisms. In the case of brassicas, the important thing is to give the plant a head start, and certainly enough boron to begin with can help it resist clubroot.

But this doesn't fully explain why crops which enjoy good boron availability seem to be able to resist clubroot significantly better. Researchers, led by Professor Geoffrey Dixon of the Department of Bioscience and Biotechnology at the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, UK have been looking into this puzzle.

They started out with three possible ideas. Does boron somehow reduce the potency of the clubroot invader directly in the soil? Might it encourage the growth and activity of soil microbes which then prey on the Plasmodiophora before they attack? Or does it actually fight the invasion or its effects within the plant itself?

The team now suspects it is actually the latter. For boron, which contributes so much for so little to plant metabolism, seems not to do the same for the parasitic protozoan. Indeed it works in the opposite way and actually slows down the lifecycle.

What boron and, less strongly, calcium (from heavy liming) seem to do is to reduce the rate at which the invaders mature inside the root and turn into secondary sporangiophores - the ones that cause the damage - whose mission is to release new generations into the outside subterranean world. Boron apparently doesn't stop the initial invasion, but puts the harmful metamorphosis into slow motion.

Whether boron is altering the biochemical environment inside the root to make it Plasmodiophora-unfriendly, or is encouraging the plant to retaliate is not yet clear. But the effect is the same. Brassicas are given more, and often enough time to mature and establish effective roots before clubroot tumors wreak their damage.

A 15-year long series of experiments conducted by the Strathclyde team has convincingly demonstrated that a specific application of boron to the seedlings at transplanting does indeed reduce the onset of clubroot symptoms and hence protects crop yields to a significant degree.

Species by species, brassicas vary in their susceptibility to boron deficiency, but generally they are rated as vulnerable to low boron levels for general growth and health: boron supplementation is, then, important anyway.

But the new message for growers is that, in the right amount and at the right time, it keeps clubroot in check.

Also, if Bleach was accidently mixed with a detergent that I didn't know had ammonia in it, (another homemade cleaner),could it have damaged my or whomever used it lungs, and would the symptoms show immediately? Thank you for putting this information out there however I am confused about the topical solution dosages.

I have been using borax internally for a couple of weeks with little to no improvement for what has been diagnosed as rosacea, I mostly got very dry skin so now I want to try the topical version in combination with internally ingesting borax.

I also tried a candida cleanse (some suggest that excessive candida can be the cause of rosacea) using oil of oregano along with a mixture of natural ingredientssupposed to take care of the problem in a capsule. No luck there either so now I am looking back at the borax / hydrogen peroxide treatment.

I can get 3% hydrogen peroxide from the pharmacy here, will it work?

To make a facial cream, how much peroxide should I use in combination with borax? Should I mix with water? I am most comfortable with measurements in ml or tsp / tbsp. Thank you in advance for any reply!

Hi Simon, Yes, however weird it may seen to ingest something people use as a laundry detergent, it is safe. I have been using 1/8 tsp for quite a while now. I will usually go for a few weeks, then take a few days off. It has pretty much cured my knee pain. I highly recommend it.

Can I just double check with anyone that can answer-I have recently discovered this site and have read about Borax and so ordered some from ebay. Labelled BORAX (Sodium Tetraborate) -Decahydrate.

This is definitely ok to ingest... At the recommended dosage of 1/8th of a teaspoon per litre of water?

Sounds great-just wanna check there are no dangers. Thanks!

Borax is to clean out. What I suggest is the use of iodine to get the pineal gland decalcified.

Boric Acid Vs Borax
Posted by Maria (Gippsland, Australia) on 10/26/2011

Hi Tamis, I have not found that it has any fizz when adding it to cleaning mixes, but of course they are diluted. Anyway I have just added borax to ACV and there is no fizz, have also added it to cheap white vinegar and no fizz. You may have to test it with a ph meter, I got mine for about $15 (AU) including postage via ebay. Good luck.

Boric Acid Vs Borax
Posted by Tamis (Paris, France) on 10/26/2011

I just bought some borax from a local drugstore and was given a plastic bag with "borate na" written on it. Having read that some drugstores have given some boric acid instead of borax I asked the vendor if he was sure it was borax and not boric acid and he told me it was labeled "borate na" in his storage room.

Now I'm a cautious guy and I want to make sure this is indeed borax and not boric acid.

Is there a way to test this at home ? Like adding my powder to vinegar and see if it fizzles or not ?

I found out the The ph of Borax is about 9. 5 (so I guess it should fizzle in vinegar), boric acid has a ph of 3. 7 (http://www.merck-chemicals.com/boric-acid/MDA_CHEM-100765/p_HXeb.s1Lb5QAAAEW9.AfVhTl) (so I also guess it should not fizzle in vinegar).

Am I right about this?

I am a 48 years old female in relative good health except for chronic pain due to repetitive stress injuries. I have been taking D Sodium Tetra Borate now pretty much daily since June when I found out the organic farmers in Haway were supplementing all living things to protect from radiation. I pretty much eyeball an 8 of a teaspoon using the handle of a spoon or a fork as a shovel, anyway this to say that therefore it's been now 3 months and I have absolutely no complaints. Immediately I started feeling better. I find the tap water * no fluoride where I am * tastes better with borax and is easier to drink. I quit for 3 days once and I swear my chronic pain got a lot worse. My lungs have never been happier and my sinusitis is gone. Seriously I feel it's doing me a great deal of good. The first day I took it sure I was a bit light headed and kind of sleepy but nothing unpleasant or anything and after the first week it no longer happened.

I am one of those people super sensitive to chemicals, I can't even take more than 400 mg of Ibuprofen in a given day, and cannot take it for more than 2 days without severe intestinal complications, same goes for a lot of what doctors prescribe, in fact I had to switch to making my own colloidal silver because antibiotics were just totally disrupting my body, I haven't touched an antibiotic since 1998. I also occasionally make chlorine dioxide for internal use * sodium chlorite mixed with citric acid = Cl2O * and can tolerate it also well :) hope this helps... do not dwell in hypochondria, seriously how can you trust people who condone things like Artane, Risperidol and Prozac to name a few??? and allow the sale of hydrogenated oils and fats for human consumption not that it would be ok to give it to animals...

Anyway, I will continue my experiment and listen to my body, because my body tells me everything, so if the situation changes I will come and update, I would like to find more info on the rate of elimination for example.

John1230, borax doesn't have a grade, it is 99-100% borax. I can't find the recipe in the ailments or remedies, but put about 1 part borax to 2-3 parts water and pour onto hair and leave in for 10 mins. Lily.

Hi Susan,

A pinch of Nutmeg in a glass of water everyday should help also. But no more than a pinch, too much can make you sick.

Borax is also called Sodium Borate or Sodium Tetraborate-- sold as a white powder or hydrate. You can buy it as "20 Mule Team Borax"(from the washing isle of supermarkets) and use this to create a liter of water with a little borax in it to drink. To do this, take a liter of water and just add 1/8 tspn to it. Then drink a liter of this for four days only, then stop and take 3 days off(no borax water). Then start again. So, four days drinking borax water, then 3 days off -- no borax water.

See this link: https://www.earthclinic.com/remedies/borax.html

Or you can just buy Boron tablets (whose ingredients will also be listed as sodium borate or tetraborate) and take at least 6 mgs per day.

Borax helps to cure arthritis, helps to modulate the body's hormones, removes body fluoride and is perhaps the ultimate fungal killer.

Yeast Infections
Posted by A.busey (Beaverton, Oregon) on 07/12/2011

Yes! A nurse practitioner finally helped me after years of yeast infection from antibiotic use for sinus infection. She said go to the drug store or natural food store and buy the biggest empty capsules they sell and buy Boric Acid Powder there also. Fill one or two capsules and use as a suppository over night. You can do it a couple days in a row and it has worked wonders! Plan to where a light pad to absorb a little mess when you get up and moving around the next morning. Oh, I've found that a straw works wonders - just poke it down into the Boric Acid container and then hold over the open capsule and pinch above the powder to get it to fall out of the straw into the capsule. Hope this helps the many others suffering with this awful problem.

Thanks Ted for your detailed response. I dont like the thought of antibiotic treatment as I know how important the bacteria in my gut is to my entire system and would prefer to go 'naturally'. So, after much research on EC, I am going to attempt the following regime to try to kill mycoplasma and alleviate my Ankylosing Spondylitis. Colloidial Silver, EDTA, Borax & Hydrogen Perioxide, followed by Calcium Bentonite then MSM (cannot purchase DSMO) with Lugols transdermally. Aloe, D3, etc to assist healing. Will let you know the outcome. Thanks again. Lee
