Updated dosage!!!!! Of borax per 8oz neti pot (in case you don't see my recent post): for lingering sinus issues.... am now using 1 teaspoon borax + 1/4 teaspoon sea salt in 8 oz neti, twice in each nostril daily.

After almost complete loss of both smell and taste, after 5 years of sinusitis.... fully restoring olfactory function is a pretty big deal...western medicine has nothing remotely as effective, with toxic pharmaceuticals, to be sure...

Borax Scent
Posted by Mary (Boston, MA) on 08/30/2014

Wanted to come back to the thread I started to update: I am back with borax again :)

Had a recent skin rash that resisted all treatments, in desperation I remembered the box of Borax I'd stashed in the garage last year after opening it and finding it scented. Poured some out and found....no scent! The time spent stored in the cool garage had removed the odor, which was obviously from other scented products that had been stored/shipped with my Borax box.

The cardboard packaging is obviously very porous and Borax itself highly absorbent. And I'm guessing it wouldn't be cost-efficient (nor environmentally sound) to package it in plastic....going forward I'll be purchasing well in advance of running out, pouring it into an open container and leaving it for several weeks in my garage or shed to air out. I'd advise others who have had the same problem to do this as well.

re: my rash: two days of bathing in Borax and my swelling and itching have subsided, after two weeks of agony. Am so happy to be using this amazing product again. Hope this experience is helpful to others.

Borax Dosages

Dear Earth Clinic,

Boron Consumption Update with Questions:

I have been taking 5 times the maintenance dose daily for some weeks, with a day or two break here and there.

I have seen an improvement in overall energy of the body, and aches and pains of the joints don't seem to last more then a short time.

Starting on a higher dose I notice a severe reaction (host flushes, numbness of face, disorientation) of 1/4 to 1/8 a teaspoon.

I still get the hot face feeling a little bit on the low dose, though I think I have found the amount that works for me.

A friend of mine in his early 70's has started on the same does that I have, though he splits his up into two cups of water a day.

The process for consumption; is using one of the teaspoon sets; like these
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Amco-Measuring-Spoons-for-Small-Amounts-/141301745022?pt=Measuring_Cups&hash=item20e63d857e&_uhb=1

the smallest teaspoons on there works out to be about 1/64 of a teaspoon. I weighed and calculated; 2 of these (in two doses) or one the size up from this is (1/32 of teaspoon size on that set, the second smallest teaspoon in the set), that 2 of the first, or one of the second; is equal to 5 times the maintenance dose of 3mg of boron a day.

I calculated the boron as 11% of the the borax molecule.

I think my calculations were such;
Having measured a heaped teaspoon of borax at around 6.5 grams,
then calculating that a liter of water is 202 teaspoons;
we end up with 1 teaspoons equaling about 33mg or 0.033g of borax content.

Thus working out that this has only 11% boron (of the the 33mg) we end up with 3mg content or 0.003g or boron in each teaspoon.

Thus working out that two of the 1/64th of 1 of the 1/32 teaspoons sizes *in the drop, pinch etc. set mentioned above. Calculated these to be 0.14g or 140mg. Thus boron content is 11% = 15.4mg of boron content; which is 5 times the maintenance does of 3mg a day.

Thus when the effects become clear and at completion one can go down to the maintenance dose by drinking the solution over 5 days.

* I found the idea of using a liter with a teaspoon, two difficult for my life style in the bush.

* I would suggest always using borax, as its alkaline, as apposed to boric acid which is mixed with hydrochloric acid and acidic already.

Note; make the solution with boiling water, add the amount then stir. Drink anytime afterwards (i usually drink it an hours or few hours later, or over a few days).

My question to ted; is about boron build up; should one even with small detox as here; have a day or two of a week; or can one stick through on the 5 times does; or its a personal decision? What are the effects of build up in the body.

P.S My friend has noticed a great improvement in his arthritis; though both he and I do take some magnesium as well (small dose)

P.P.S In Australia there is a company called blants; it can be ordered cheaply from there website; it comes from turkey, very good quality.

P.P.P.S The only other side affect that I noticed that if it is taken in the evening sometimes it can cause insomnia for several hours; (only happened to both me and my friend on one occasion each).

Kind Regards,
A Friend From Australia

THANKYOU MOST KINDLY FOR YOUR HELP :-) Peace

I've been using Borax for exactly one week now. 5 days on, 2 days off. I use a 1/4 teaspoon per 100ml of distilled water. I also take a triple magnesium supplement along with zinc. I am now going to incorporate food grade hydrogen peroxide. I haven't felt this clear in a long time. I also experience gas like side effects. That's about it. I will continue to use this for the next 4 months.

Depression

UPDATE:

I posted last year as Mary Margaret. I suffered desperately with severe pain and depression for 17 years. I am now well. I followed Teds Borax detox protocol for 3 weeks to rid my body of fluoride. I thought I might die from the severity of the headaches body pain and stomach pain and sickness during the Borax treatment. At the end of 3 weeks I was almost 100% well. Then I slowly got off the cymbalta and stopped taking ibuprofen. It's been almost a year now. When I completed the Borax treatment I followed Jason Utley's Fibromyalgia cure. A few times during these last four months I had neck and head pain return. I did Borax for 3 days and the pain was gone. I take all the vitamins recommended by Jason Uttley three or four times weekly. I use only coconut oil for cooking. I NEVER touch any soda whatsoever and very little sugar or white flour or milk products. About six months ago I switched from Thyroxin to Armour thyroid for my low thyroid. I weighed 178 in March of this year and now I weigh 153. I also walk ALOT and dance on my little trampoline. Life is so awesome. I have no more depression and very little pain.. Mostly no pain. I still have some gastritis and once in awhile my eyes burn. I have a lot of mercury in my mouth which I haven't been able to get removed due to finances. All of you w Fibromyalgia read Jason Utley's cause and cure and look for Teds Borax protocol. I'm living proof that Fluoride is a major cause of this disease.

THANK YOU Earthclinic... Jason and Ted. What an amazing blessing you have given me.

Borax and Hormones

Borax causes men to produce more testosterone and women more estriol. For those of us older than 40 or 50, that would seem a very good thing.

Taking 2 or 3 days a week off the borax is to (supposedly) allow your body to adjust and your hormones to balance.

Several people take borax continuously and don't seem to suffer any ill effects. As usual, do your homework and make responsible choices. However, if taking borax 4 or 5 days a week gives you the results you want, why take it for 7?

Many health professionals advise taking even your regular supplements only 5 days a week (or 3 weeks on and 1 week off). The reason for this is because anything we take continuously may attenuate -- become less effective or even ineffective. This happens all the time with prescription drugs. People who were taking MSM every single day and getting great results suddenly were not: The MSM just stopped working for them after 6 months, a year, or in some cases many years.

Another thought on storing Borax...it does seem to absorb odours, thus the common concern that it has fragrance...it is on the shelf with strongly scented laundry products and absorbs their odours.

For long term storage, I think glass jars, of light, would be ideal. Even food grade freezer weight storage bags will have an odour transfer, so I don't think they would be the best, though they may be better than the box the borax comes in.

Just a few thoughts....

Dear Rebel,

Borax should be stored in a cool dry place. Moisture makes it clump. But you can just crush it back up with a hammer. It should be able to be stored indefinitely. It was sitting in a borax mine for a long time before it was put in a box, though processed before boxing.

I found this website:

http://www.20muleteamlaundry.com/about/what-is-borax/

Interestingly, it mentions that borax used to be used to aid digestion, keep milk sweet, and cure epilepsy. It pooh poohs on this now, because of "modern technology and common sense." But we know that the old timers knew more than they often get credit for!

Thanks for the heads up on stocking up--and Om, for your information about natural items being banned for sale. My chiropractor says the same thing.

Hi, Rebel from somewhere, US ---- you are quite right. And this is going to happen to a number of supplements. It is already happening.

I have ordered and received a large order of ESSIAC after I was told that one company had published some testimonies about its effectiveness and cures. They were pulled into court and told they cannot provide testimonies. Like "you cannot do this". They also lost their business.

Lugol's Iodine has been removed from the Canadian market and US companies cannot sell to Canada. Best thing to go online and let Tony Pantalleresco teach to make it yourself on YT.This is blatant disservice to the people of the entire country.

It is best to take the cue from there.

I have seen a lot of posst on here about BORAX now being scented in many markets. I also read, where some guy that was promoting borax as an arthritis cure, said to stock up on it, as soon it would be removed from shelves.... Sorry for not having that source to list, I read so much it is impossible for me to add everything to my favorites and list.

Just my opinion, maybe the company that makes the borax is coming under fire from some outside source and is being encouraged to add fragrance to the product now. I have been able to still get 100% all natural 20 mule team at my area grocery stores, but any day that could end. I don't think they would quit making the stuff or selling it, but adding fragrance may be a way to discourage internal use.

I want to buy several boxes to put up, but not sure how or where to store it long term. We have to continue to think ahead of them, because no sick people equals no money for them. So I would strongly encourage people that have access to the 100% all natural to stock up on it as soon as possible.

Yeast Infections
Posted by Somegirlontheinternet (Sacramento, Ca) on 07/22/2014

So, I had been wondering this same thing, and I think I figured it out. This is based on nothing more than speculation however I believe that Boric Acid is what people are referring to using vaginally, and Borax internally (uhhh.. by mouth. lol.. I guess technically they are both internally, but you know what I mean). One of the big differences is that one is acidic (like the vagina) and the other is alkaline. I'd recommend just using Boric Acid vaginally since it has such a well proven track record. My guess is that some people aren't aware they are two different things and are inaccurately using Borax in place of Boric Acid. Just a guess. Internally (by mouth) Borax is supposed to help clear up candida though so I'm sure using both at the same time should help clear it up from the symptom location (vagina) and the root location (intestinal track).

Just my thoughts but I could be wrong.

Hi Jennysmom2. Happy to reply. Hope it helps. I've been taking borax for 1 (one) week, that's why I'm so surprised at the progress. I tried borax once before with less success and at a higher concentration. Could that account for greater success this time?

I've been trawling the internet looking for answers but haven't found any. Just seems to be the same info going round and round. The most scientific information I've found seems to be the paper by Walter Last that I mentioned previously. Sorry to be of such limited help. For now, I'm monitoring myself as closely as I'm able and taking note of gains as they happen - so far no losses. I'll try to keep posting here of any new developments and hope that helps you and others.

Ultimately I'm hoping to reverse my osteoarthritis. If that happens I think you'll hear me! As mentioned before my knee pain is pretty much gone and I intend to give it 3 months before I go to the doctor to request another x-ray. I guess then we'll see what, if anything, has happened to the structure of my knees.

As for weight loss, I seem to have plateaued too. No idea why so, no help there. I've just added iodine into the mix so now that's; borax, magnesium oil and iodine. I read somewhere that these are complementary and I know from here that iodine can influence weight loss. Guess I'll find out soon. I'll let you know how I go.

I asked the same question about weight loss a few weeks ago, and no one replied, so I am answering you now. I am/was taking the borax, (1/4 teaspoon) in water daily. I was losing about 4 ounces of weight per day. This lasted about a week or so and then I stabilized. I gave myself a break from the borax and just continued drinking ACV and baking soda. I am going to start the borax again and hopefully I will continue to lose weight, as I would like to lose 20 pounds. I have not noticed a whitening of teeth, but would not be disappointed if that happened! Would love to know how long you have been taking the borax. Perhaps I should get some magnesium oil. Please reply on your progress.

Just thought I'd add a line or two to document the ongoing strangeness that is my borax experience. My teeth have noticeably whitened. I haven't read anything about teeth getting whiter so I'm a little confused. Has anybody else experienced this? Also, regarding the accelerated weight loss, has anybody else experienced anything similar? The only thing I'm doing is taking borax and also rubbing on a little magnesium oil daily.

As for the dilution instructions above, I thought I should let you know that it came from an article I found by a man named Walter Last. The article is titled "The Borax Conspiracy". There's some interesting information in this article, including instructions. FYI - The website I got it from made my browser throw up a warning. I printed it to a pdf and it seems to be ok, but you should exercise due caution.

Hi Bridget~ I was wondering the same thing. I did a bit of internet snooping & found these articles helpful. My husband was diagnosed with Low-T, with blood levels @ 180. The doctor put him on one of the gel treatments. He felt much better @ week 2 of treatment, but has gradually been feeling worse again. We are now @ about week 4. I suspect his estrogen levels are playing a part in this. Anyway, after reading the abstract I'm sending him to Wal-mart tomorrow bright & early to get some 20 mule-team borax!

OK, just the facts. I'm taking an almost homoeopathic dilution of borax; 1 rounded teaspoon dissolved in 1 litre of water. Then take 2 to 3 teaspoons per day of this already dilute solution. Much less than I've seen recommended here but it works a treat for me.

On the first day I noticed nothing at all, including no ill effects.

On the second day a thick coating appeared on my tongue, clearly this was yeast being chased out of my system. I also noticed that my skin was much softer. I'm male so I wasn't looking for this but it certainly feels healthier, so yay! In the evening I felt very tired and had to sleep; I have had insomnia forever so this was surprising.
On the third day the many discoloured patches on my skin disappeared - not faded; gone! I've had these patches for about 20 years and I've known they were fungus for all that time and now they are completely gone. Also my hair feels softer and thicker.
Sometime during all of this I noticed that the osteoarthritis in my knees was diminished to such a degree that the pain of walking was almost gone.

It is now the 4th day since I started taking borax and the gains continue unabated. My tongue has cleared up and I'm even losing weight. Lots of weight. In 4 days.

Can this be happening? The sceptic in me wants to reserve opinion but the results so far are so breathtaking that I had to post this. The main point I wanted to make was the extremely dilute solution I'm using, and yet it still works. So, if you are have trouble getting your head around ingesting borax, perhaps you could try this method too. By my reckoning you'll be taking roughly 1/200th of a teaspoon of borax per teaspoon of liquid and you can barely taste it. Hope this helps.

Good luck all.

Hi June...I'm afraid that I cannot give you any real research evidence on whether borax kills good microbiota in the gut or not -- I have looked at the research and their isn't very much on borax. But that's probably because the drugs companies don't really want you to know about how effective borax is against both mycoplasma and fungus.

What's more, I've been using borax water regularly for the last 8 years or so and it has never made me feel ill (even when I used it against my candida). So if you want my own opinion -- because that's all it is from my own experience with borax -- I would say that it doesn't kill good gut bacteria.

Thank you for your comment. I guess I am just wondering if the rapid weight loss is from the borax. I am down 4 pounds in a week from my previous low weight. (weight varies a couple pounds a month due to cycle.) I have lost 1 inch on my stomach and 1/2 inch on my hips. Previously, my weight would not budge. Additionally, I have no more soreness on the sides of my thighs or breasts. (A sign of estrogen dominance.) I guess I am just wondering if the rapid weight loss is from the borax? Killing the candida, lowering my ph, balancing my hormones, or all of the above. I really haven't read anyone say anything like this before. Also, I really can't figure out exactly how much boron is in 1/8 teaspoon borax. If someone could tell me, I would appreciate it.

I also suspect low thyroid, as my basal temperature is in the low 95 degree range in the mornings. I have been taking the ACV with baking soda and 1/8 teaspoon borax daily for a week now, I was previously just taking the ACV and baking soda. I have had a slight headache, which is unusual for me. I have been feeling great with a lot of extra energy and a much more positive attitude and outlook on life. The most exciting part is that I am losing about 4 ounces in body weight each day. I was hoping someone could comment on this. I will continue this routine, as I think it will greatly improve my health.

Using 1/2 teaspoon borax + 1/4 teaspoon sea salt in 8 oz filtered h2o, in neti pot for each nostril, twice daily, for chronic sinus issues (presumably mold triggered) which have plagued me for 5 years, and it's amazing after 1 month have recovered severely compromised olfactory function: I can smell w/80% efficiency, compared with say 10% previously. To Astrid from the "Nederlands"

I hope the Borax works. If you are after killing candida which you reference (sorry I missed that in your first post)...also consider using Colloidal Silver. I've made my own for twenty years...just three 9 volt batteries attached to silver strands. Can get on line "colloidal silver generator inexpensive" and can find sources all over. Got my last one for 70 bucks or so.

Interesting story for you; I just had my blood analyzed (see on line sites "live cell microscopy") and I was not too surprised to find more than normal fungal activity in my blood (hence body) and the microscopy analyst put me on extra doses of my OWN colloidal silver which he assured me would kill fungal infections. So I'm on it three times a day on empty stomach. Much more than my norm of four or five tablespoons weekly, just to clear the system. That was good but not enough to kill fungus. After a month I was just re tested and the amount of fungus was down and the evidence of dying fungal cells was apparent. So in one month the treatment is working...or so it seems for now. I'll report back as time goes on. And more bad news from the analyst who studies my tolerance to various foods....I'll got a carb metabolism problem so I'm now on a carb restricted diet...problem with beans, grains and of course sugar is in that list. So depressing. But I can eat lots of things that I thought were not good for me...which was a surprise.

I've mentioned the food groups, because apparently the carb issue was feeding the fungal infestation. The carbs did not cause the fungal but aided its spread. The CS is killing the infection but my new diet will help the CS do its job.

Then take only 2 tsp of the concentrate and mix it into a glass of water. Drink that with food. I do it at breakfast. Be sure to take a 500 mg magnesium pill with it also, or the Borax WILL NOT activate. Borax alone will do nothing for psoriasis. You have to have the magnesium with it. Hope this works better for you. It's working for me. I'm actually stunned that I've had this stupid psoriasis all these years and it was such a simple fix. Summer time shorts here I come.

Prioris, Bill, Ted, and TimH..etc: Thank you all so much for your informative posts on borax. They have explained my mild die-off reaction (herxheimer effect) from using it. I shall cut back a bit on the intake and continue on.

For the record, my apparent die-off reaction consists only of morning diarrhea.

The apparent positive effects that I have noticed recently have been that my chronic abdominal bloating has all but completely disappeared (I've literally had that for decades). Along with the bloating, general abdominal pain and discomfort have also all but disappeared, which included daily, middle-of-the-night deep burning pain in my gut.

Please note, that along with starting the borax regime, I have also started the “water cure” (Google it), which involves properly hydrating your body. These two remedies have removed a dark cloud of dismal depression that many digestive-related issues have caused me for many years. It feels like I have a new life. Cheers and blessing to all!!

When I bought Borax there was another product that was similar but scented. I remembered being puzzled at first which box to buy. Be sure to buy the real borax, not a different company's product that has boron or borax in big letters but is a mixture.

Boric Acid Vs Borax

Hi Ashok,

Are you sure Borax is Suhaga ? G.T from AP, you can ask any chemist in your place and he can get you. In Mumbai there is an area where number of shops are there who deal in chemicals and medicinal drugs in bulk, the name is princes street and one can get Borax there. Boric acid is completely different, a lot is written about it on this site and I won't suggest to use Boric acid in place of Borax.

Boron alone won't kill the infection. Boric acid is also what is needed to kill the infection. Once the RA infection is killed then one can try supplementing with boron only for preventative and see if that keeps things at bay. One should take some magnesium with borax since a lack of magnesium could render the borax protocol ineffective.

Suffering from extreme pathogen toxicity I got desperate and Liposomed Borax by the same method as Vit-C. This method proved way more effective in comparison to a half cup in a hot bath. I drank 2 2oz glasses of Lipo Borax for aprox 2 months whereupon I reduced to 1 dose daily and now almost only one dose every other day. I also fallow the Lipo Borax w/ Lipo Vit-C w/ very good results. This combo protocol seems to be, at least theoretically, a very powerful anti-cancer treatment.

For all of you who use Borax, I've always wanted to ask, why not just take a Boron supplement? I've seen them online. I'm sure you have your reasons and I would be interested to hear them. Fascinating stuff! Thanks!

I take borax on empty stomach. Borax tastes "soapy".

Mixing it with random food makes no sense. If people are doing that, I could imagine all sorts of digestive problems. Never heard someone use the word "metallic" to describe it. If taste is not palatable, just dilute it with more water.

I think the chances of toxicity is extremely low. I think one should distinguish between first time user loading dose (i would say around 3 weeks) and long term dose.

I think the loading dose can be higher but Ted's just trying to err on the side of caution just to be safe. One should review the symptom list for boron toxicity and just be aware of it. That should be enough to keep one out of trouble, if it should happen, you will be right on top of it.

I recently found out about the benefits of boron... as we know it, borax, and was very impressed with what I found out. As with most trace elements, we must be sure to consume not more than our bodies can handle. With this being said, I am a vegetarian, consume as much organic vegetables and fruits as possible, and try to stay away from processed foods/junk foods. I drink between 500ml-1l of water with 1/8 of a teaspoon (0.625g) of borax dissolved in the water. It has a slightly metallic taste, but after a while it goes away... I wonder if it is possible that since my boron levels have increased, my body doesn't notice it as much? (Question for anyone with an answer). I noted that a lot of people say they cannot ingest the borax, causing indigestion, nausea, etc... I don't think that all the sites mention that borax is a base with a pH level of around 9.5. When that mixes with our stomach acids, it may render the acids unable to properly break down our foods for further digestion. I prepare my water for evening consumption, and I don't space it out and I have had no ill effects to date (I've only been taking it for two weeks, and I can't tell you how fantastic I feel) I skip days as well... My cognitive function has improved, my mood is to die for (crap, no more crabbiness, lol)... my joints feel well oiled, and no aches and pains...I am a fairly healthy, active 54 year old and has since developed energy to start lifting weights, getting back in shape... my oomph is back. Another incredible think I noticed was that my skin has improved totally... I never had "bad" skin, but most noticeably are my hands... It is very cold where I live, and usually in the winter months, I suffer from dry hands (not cracked, just dry skin) and my hands are soooooo smooth and soft! No hand cream, no oils... I have put nothing on my hands. Any cuts heal quicker and my appetite is balanced...I am not craving foods, or anything to replace what my poor body has been missing: boron. The regulator of minerals. A superb building block essential for normal, healthy function of living things. Just make sure you take the required amounts & remember it may affect your digestive acids...so my tip, if it works for you, is not to drink it just before or after a meal...I am waiting at least 2.5 - 3 hours after my last meal.

Ummm...the brand, Twenty Mule Team Borax, is 99.5% pure Boron, and the other .5% is simply other minerals that were mined in the process of mining the Boron, which are good for us as well. Just go to WalMart and buy a box in the laundry isle, and smell it to make sure it has not been tainted by other laundry detergents, which may have been shipped with it. It'll cost you a whole $3 bucks and some change. Companies selling so called "food grade boron, are just out for the almighty dollar, pretending to make an already perfect product better. Come on people...let's use our heads. I've been using it for four months, for my LUPUS AND FIBROMYALGIA, and I'm amazed and so happy about the results. Here they are;

1. Almost no joint pain anymore. Can walk up and down stairs, all over S.D. Zoo, and then some. Used to only be able to walk about 1/4 mile, and then pain would be so bad, like knives stabbing the sides of my knee joints, I'd have to limp home.

2. Less depression, better mood, everything seems brighter, and I have a better outlook on life.

3. Increased energy?? Well, enough to not only START back at the gym, but WANT to start back at the gym, after years of inactivity, and I am now lifting more than some of the men there!

4. Sex life? Yes, WOW...that's all I'm saying.

5. My body temperature is no longer like the weather in Utah (constantly changing). I no longer sweat to death after climbing stairs, getting out of the shower, or running through the grocery store.

6. Night sweats minimal now.

7. Able to quit two of my lupus meds, methotrexate and one other that I can't remember the name of, and, I was able to taper my prednisone down from 20 mg to 5 mg. Going to go off prednisone completely within the next month

8. Drastically reduced whole -body inflammation. Sternum, lung, and rib pain almost non-existent. Headaches very rarely.

9. My heart palpitations and skipped beats are less frequent, and less severe.

10. There are probably many other benefits which I am forgetting, but the benefits I've listed are awesome!!

I am Ramesh Gaikar from India. I and my wife had been on borax for 2 months and am running for the third month. The protocol, 5 days on and 2 days off. I and my wife had the problem of arthirities. My wife's problem was that she had severe knee pain and back pain. She feels OK now and I think 80% she is cured. Also, I think I am also cured of arthirities as I do not experience any muscle pain etc. My wife was advised by the Dr. to get the knee replaced. But, I had faith in Borax and on Earthclinic. So I started to take 1/8 spoon in 1 litre of water. I am also enjoying my married life as Borax has increased my Libido.

I am very greatful to this site. May God bless this site.

I'm a big fan of garlic too. I hate to taste it with out it being in amazing food. so when I take it I just crack the head of garlic and get the little cloves and swallow like pills. I can hardly taste it and it doesn't seem to give me bad breath. I've had some tremendous success with using essential oil on balancing hormones.. Just something to look into in the future. God bless your efforts, you're on the right track taking your health back into your hands.

Boric Acid Vs Borax
Posted by Rosie (Daylesford, Victoria Au) on 11/19/2013

Hello Deirde:

About 4 years ago I sent you an email about the possible confusion between boric acid and borax. As I had some boric acid in my paint tool box and read about the borax cure in your so precious website, I was confident to give this boric acid to my husband. So he took it and probably had a healing crises that I didn't recognize as such at the time and I decided to research a bit more about boric acid. Too quickly I came across with the (not so accurate) wikipedia website and read that boric acid is toxic if ingested. That is why I wrote that email to you and I was probably in a state of fear and guilt of thinking that I could have poisoned my husband. Then you put the warning mentions on the borax page. A couple of days ago I went back to the borax page on earthclinc to prepare an article about borax as my husband and I continue to take it regularly and we want to spread the word about its fantastic ability of healing. There a saw some comments of people upset about the warnings of Boric Acid on the Borax page. Then I felt that those warnings were there only because of my experience which was only based on my lack of research and state of fear at the time...my stupidity.

Like the authors of those comments, I would like to ask you to remove those warning signs as it creates confusion that is detrimental to the perfectly safe use of borax and boric acid for healing.

Thank you so much in advance if you can do it and thank you a thousand times for the wonderful site that you have created.

Kind regards, Rosie

Borax reacts with fluoride ions to form boron fluorides which protects your body (in and out) from the negative effects of Fluoride. This compound prevents your body from absorbing the fluouride. helpful resource:.www.health-science-spirit.com/borax.htm

You can put borax in a capsule or just keep diluting it in more water until it is palatable.

I have a question regarding Borax. I do not like the taste. I was wondering if it would be effective to take borax in a capsule as an alternative? I grew up in a moldy envirnment and have had problems with pcos, acne, hirstism, energy, food allergies, candida, etc.
