Lugol's Iodine

I began taking 2 drops daily of Lugol's iodine. Within 2 weeks my blood pressure dropped from 135/82 to normal ranges I.e. 120/72 and some days even lower. Also ingesting a tsp of diatemaceous earth but since I was inconsistent with the later, I must credit the iodine. PTL!

Eggplant Water

Someone on this site had posted that her son in law brought his HBP under control by drinking Eggplant water, and it was tried by me and I confirm that it does work.

Now how to do it, peel the eggplant skin off and then make small pieces and put it in a glass jar fill it with water cover it with the lid and put the jar in the fridge, after 48 hrs you can start drinking this water at least twice a day say 200 ml each time. Each time you drink this water, you can put same amount of fresh water in the jar and finish it in three days. After that you can make the fresh batch. The capacity of the jug should be around one to one and a half liter. I suggest you try this and see if it helps, I am sure if it does not help then it is not going to harm you either.

Good luck.

Nattokinase

Here we go again. Trying to solve a problem that doesn't need solving.

Blood pressure and cholesterol are irrelevant when it comes to cardiovascular health. It's all about cleaning the arteries. Nothing more. Of course, too low blood pressure and you can faint.

The problem with even measuring blood pressure is that your blood pressure varies through out the entire day. Blood pressure readings are mostly irrelevant.

Now they are saying that people's pressure varying is the real cause of strokes. The lies of blood pressure are starting to crack. Instead of 1 in 3 people being put on statin drugs, they can put everyone on statin drugs.

The myths of heart disease and strokes are so deeply imbedded in people.

nattokinase supplements. This natural enzyme helps to dissolve fibrin, cholesterol and calcium that has accumulated in the arteries of the body. It is a clot buster.

Fibrolytic enzymes prevents all the problems that high blood pressure and all those other phantom causes is to cause even hardening of the arteries.

RE: High Blood pressure, Coenzeyme 10 (Qc10) will lower your blood pressure better than any Drug in the World that a DR can give you. 150milligram's 3 times a day, it can be taken along side your BP Med's if you've been scared and bullied enough by DR's to take it, it will not interfere with any Med's. I have helped Gang's of people with this, and I was one of them. My BP went fatal, last week I got it checked and I've got the BP of a super fit 18 year old and I'm 54yrs young. I never took any Med's as they cause more damage. It has to be Ubiquinol (there are many forms of Cq10), and a good Omega 3 oil is excellent too. Cq10 is made naturally by the body, but lower's with age and other factors. Statins are also evil, I met load's of people in Hospital that had heart attack's caused by Statins, an everyone I know has got heart damage from these Drug's. Its a lie about High Cholesterol, we need it. Our Brain's are made of it, Beet root juice lower's it brilliantly if you really believe it should be lowered, but it's got NOTHING to do with Heart Attack's. It's just another scare mongering tactic to sell more Drug's and make even more money for the evil one's. Do you think they take their own poison? No, they go to Health spas and eat Organic food, and natural remedies. And Detox in luxury using the money they scared everyone in to parting with for drug's. Love Andrea C xxxx

Apple Cider Vinegar and Baking Soda
Posted by Jon (Othello, Wa, USA) on 05/20/2012

Steve, when you combine an acid with enough base to neutralize the acid what is obtained is the conjugate base. This is the basis behind alkalization of the body by using things like citrus fruits and vinegar. In the body the pancreas secretes bicarbonate to neutralize acid, whether it's stomach acid (HCl), vinegar, citric acid, or any other acid.

In the case of vinegar it's acetic acid bicarbonate = acetate (the conjugate base)

In the case of citrus fruit it's citric acid bicarbonate = citrate (the conjugate base)

If baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) is used then then the result is sodium acetate and sodium citrate.

So supplementing with either the conjugate base or the original acid should offer similar benefits.

When the conjugate bases are in the blood they will absorb hydrogen ions (one of the definitions of an acid) recreating the original acid. As far as acidity is concerned this is a much weaker acid than the original free hydrogen ions thereby "alkalizing" the body. The body generally uses bicarbonate/carbonic acid for this buffering system, creating carbon dioxide and water as end results. The carbon dioxide is then exhaled to maintain a proper pH. Supplementing with citric acid or vinegar, or the conjugate bases of them, helps this process in maintaining things.

As far as sodium is concerned, several recent metastudies have been released that show conclusively that low sodium diets offer no benefit to otherwise healthy individuals. What was shown was an increase in stress/inflammation factors. Cholestrol, triglycerides, adrenalin, and noradrenaline were all elevated in low sodium diets. The only benefit was an extremely marginal blood pressure drop of 1% or around a 1/2 point drop. However, it should be noted that those who are already hypertensive did experience a slightly greater drop of 3. 5% or around 4-7 points depending on what the blood pressure was to start with. On the other, hand salt really isn't the culprit in hypertension. Instead the culprit is a horrible diet of transfats, low vitamin and mineral intake, overcooked/fried food, sugar, no vegetables, no omega 3 fats, etc...

Your body needs salt. You mean "no refined table salt". You need unrefined sea salt. Unrefined sea salt is a gray like colour and you can only buy it from health food stores. Unrefined sea salt will not raise blood pressure. You have to make the distinction between refined and unrefined because telling someone to cut out all salt is very dangerous. Our bodies need salt (unrefined).

Also processed foods contain huge amount of refined salt.. Cut out processed foods out of your diet.. read the labels how much sodium is in these foods (and I use the term food loosely here).

By the grace of god, my blood pressure has started coming near to normal. The changes I made were I started using sea salt in place of normal salt and after getting up in morning I try to have at least half banana within 15 minutes, that keeps my acidity low, and if thats low my bp is also normal.

Hi, I'm surprised that this remedy is not on here but those of you with high or low blood pressure might wish to research PROPER Sea Salt (ie: unrefined, coarse sea salt)

This link is a good starting point http://www.relfe.com/low_salt_diet_dangers.html

I hope you find relief. Best wishes and thanks for such a marvellous website,

Magnesium

Hi , I was just following up on Naturalone from Stillwater, Mn, Usa idea about Magnesium, and high blood pressure, as my HBP has rocket ted in the last few months.

Hi Dennis, I just wanted to comment on your post. You mentioned that at first, the ACV appeared to be helping, but then quickly took a turn for the worse. When you mentioned esophageal reflux and anxiety, I immediately thought Magnesium. In addition to the hypertension, both of these conditions can be directly related to low Mg. levels. Not to mention that your medications also contribute to Mg. wasting.

I'm not suggesting that you ditch your meds, but I would highly recommend that you consider adding Mg. into your daily routine.

I had changed my diet, cutting out alot of different foods (I went Paelo) to see what might be triggering my multiple inflammation problems. So I thought I would do a search on Magnesium rich foods, which turned out to be most of what foods I had cut out, such as beans and soy products! Within 24 hours my blood pressure had come down, just adding 1/4 teaspoon of Epsom salts to the cider vinegar bicarb mix, which I try to have three times a day. Also it has cured the constipation that has also been a problem recently. I have been trying to keep protein down to a minimum and it is very interesting how little you really need. Christina

S. O. S. Help. I've posted before. I have really high blood pressure 185/120. I am mid forties, thin and do not smoke. I've tried everything ACV, lemon and cream of tartar, hawthorne berry, cayenne pepper, magnesium, celery, chinese herbal teas, acupuncture and I have purchased multiple products from the healthfood store. Can you refer a product or something to me that works. I am currently on a beta blocker that barely works and is making me sick. I am a single working Mother with two kids and it's even difficult to work. Please help.

Blood Pressure Readings
Posted by Karen (Deland, Fl) on 02/28/2010

To Eve from Liverpool:

That's what we've been told, but unfortunately the information is very misleading and appears to be intentional. I found this article (I've listed below) very interesting, especially where it states that just four years ago high blood pressure was classified as 160/95.

"Here Are the Best Natural Cures for High Blood Pressure:

High blood pressure is classified as a systolic pressure of more than 140 and the diastolic pressure of more than 90. It's interesting to note that about 4 years ago, high blood pressure was classified as 160/95. The lowering of the standard has little to with health risks, and a lot more to do with how much money goes into the FDA, and the entire pharmaceutical industry. This is part of the reason that many of the natural cures for high blood pressure are not publicized. However, without much further ado, here are the best natural cures for high blood pressure:

Apple Cider Vinegar - This is a miracle cure for high blood pressure patients. Apple Cider Vinegar acts very fast, and you will start seeing a difference in your blood pressure within a week with it. You do not need any other medication for high blood pressure with apple cider vinegar.

Dosage - Take one full tablespoon 3 times a day for the best results.

Preparation - Nothing special. If it's too strong for you, you can mix it with a glass of water.

Recommendation - Buy an unpasteurized apple cider vinegar brand. A good one I know of is the _____s organic Apple Cider Vinegar.

Downsides - None as such. You might want to add in a bit of Sodium Bi-Carbonate to help provide the extra carbonates that your body will need due to the acidic nature of Apple Cider Vinegar.

This is easily one of the best natural cures for high blood pressure."

We know from reading EC that raw ACV has worked well for many. Thanks to the drug companies and their scare tactics we've been lead to believe we are all suppose to run somewhere around 120/80. More drugs, more money in their pockets. As if they need it, they are already a billion dollar industry.

High Blood Pressure Reading Tips

To Pat from MO: That's a tough one since we are all different. Conventional wisdom will tell you 120/80 is where we all should be which is ridiculous. Why in the world should we all be expected to have the same blood pressure reading? What we need to know is what is normal for us, not scared into thinking we are going to have a stroke if it's not close to those numbers. Blood pressure goes up and it goes down. I wish I had the answers.

Diatomaceous Earth in Lemon Juice

I read that diatomaceous earth would lower high blood pressure. About a month ago I started taking 2 tablespoons of DE in about an ounce of lemon juice (bottled lemon juice most of the time) and some water. My blood pressure had been 160/100 for years; 2 weeks ago my wife(RN) took my BP and it was 122/80 and tonight it was 112/68. Has anyone else tried this?

Celery, Apples, Grapes

high blood pressure neglect resulted in a stroke for me 2yrs ago. for 2 yrs i survived on meds, but side effects were undesirable, and depending on what i ate there was a tendency for hbp spikes and the resulting weakness and nausea.i was basically sick and weak daily. a co-worker shared a snack of celery and apples with me.i noticed it gave me energy, offset the effects of my meds and stabilized my hbp. i used to check my bp daily, sometimes 2-3 times due to nausea and weakness. now i check it 1x mo just to smile. Raw celery, apples, and red grapes daily- 2times a day at first. after 3 weeks my hbp is no longer an issue. I am strong, nausea free. i stopped anti-coag drug and replaced w 81mg adult aspirin, plus cinnamon caplets, and policosinol( all anti-coag)

I also take garlic, and am researching ginger and tumeric as daily supplmts if doctor consents. i now thinks meds are unnecessary but no doctor consent on this. I usually use, 2-3 celery stalks, one juicy red apple, and as many grapes i desire. Now i do this just once a day. Never tried ACV. My cure has to get to the root of my problem and has to be something i can do for life with no side effects. Celery, apples and grapes daily is the bomb!!!

Apple and Apple Cider Vinegar
Posted by Bill (San Fernando, Luzon, Philippines) on 05/14/2010

The reason Citrus fruits like lemons, lime and ACV are good for the body is that ACV contains malic acid and acetic acid and citrus fruits contain mainly citric acid.

When these acids reach your duodenum, which needs an alkaline to neutral medium for the duodenal enzymes to work, bicarbonates are released from the pancreas to neutralize the stomach acid or chyme. These bicarbonates are also used to neutralize the citric acids from fruits and the malic acid and acetic acid. The acids from the ACV then become their salts -- actetates and malates which are highly absorbable in the intestines and they are referred to as alkaline forming. The citric acid from the fruits is converted to citrates which are also absorbed for the same reasons.

The best way to alkalize is either to squeeze a lemon or lime into a glass, or use two tablespoons of ACV plus 1/4 - 1/2 tspn of baking soda because by doing this you convert the citric acid from the fruits to citrates and you also convert the malic acid and acetates in the ACV to their salts BEFORE you digest them. So you don't need to use your own digestion's bicarbonates to neutralize these acids -- thus effectively saving your body's bicarbonates which promotes even better alkalinity as well as promoting more efficient digestion and respiration for your body overall. Essentially, by using the salt form rather than the acid forms, you are saving the body bicarbonates for use in your body rather than wasting them unecessarily in digestion.

This is also the reason why Ted always advises to take Vitamin C not as Ascorbic acid but as ascorbates. Exactly the same reasoning applies here too. Ascorbic acid is actually a pro-oxidant, and when you add sodium bicarbonate to a solution of ascorbic acid, this then becomes an ascorbate salt of sodium -- an anti-oxidant.

My blood pressure dropped in one day. I had been under alot of stress, I am 76 years old. I have always been interested in healthy eating and vitamins. I read about fennel helping to reduce blood pressure. I bought some at the grocery store--fennel seed in the spice department. It is all natural, salt free,no msg, no preservatives, non-irradiated. Well I chewed it real well, about a fouth teaspoon-3 times a day. The next day I only took it in the morning, only. My blood pressure readings were just amazing all day long. AT 7;35 A.M. it was l3l-70, at noon it was l22-65, at 5;00p.m. it was ll3-58. I will try this every day now, and keep you posted.

Hydrogen Peroxide

I had an injury to my tongue from biting it. The dentist recommended using a product called Peroxyl, which is just a flavored 1.5% hydrogen peroxide solution. It helped the injury to heal, but as a by-product my blood pressure was lowered significantly. I did go beyond recommended usage. How much hydrogen peroxide is enough and how is dosage determined? It is easy to find food grade H2O2 at 3%.

I recently visited the local health food store. I started taking one supplement called Calcium Magnesium Potassium (I won't name the brand name). I have been taking it for about three weeks now. I recently checked by blood pressure at a doctor's visit and it was very normal (124/78). My blood pressure hasn't been this normal in years.

I have been getting very good results in lowering my BP with Ayurvedic Herbs, particularly Mukta Vati, a combination of Herbs which I ordered directly from India at a very low price. Last time I took my bp today it was114/75. I am delighted and am so glad I didn't listen to my doctor who suggested I take the drug Lisinopril.

Potassium

I have a friend who at times has very high BP readings, in the 190s. He heard that potassium can lower it. I came over the other day, his BP reading that afternoon was 143. He took a potassium citrate tablet that has just under a gram of potassium in it. It was a fizzy tablet, dissolved in a glass of water. Sipped it over about 20 minutes. Retested himself after an hour an a half, and his BP was 117! Amazing.

Here is a Harvard Health article that shows potassium works.
