Drop of Olive Oil in the Navel

Hi: I want to share this experience with others who have high blood pressure:

Before two weeks I liked to try olive oil in the navel for constipation, I put one drop a day in the navel hole, after 3 days I suffered from dizziness, when I checked my blood pressure I found it 70/50 (my original blood pressure is 90-110) for that I stooped using it.

I told my sister about that, her blood pressure between 120- 140. After three days of using it her blood pressure dropped to 95/50. I hope this will be benefit for high blood pressure patients, and I hope that they will post there experience.

Aloe Vera, Hibiscus Tea, Cayenne Pepper

Hi Marie from New York - Regarding your comments about colon cancer and kidney disease caused by Aloe Vera. There is a truckload of rubbish on the internet, most of the time provided/supplied by the parties interested to mislead the public. In the future if you write a comment like this, could you please reference it, to see if the information is credible or just one of those misleading ones? Although in my case Aloy Vera didn't help reducing my HB, it had other benefits. I used it for six weeks every day 1large stick of washed Aloe, minus thorns, 1 banana, 1 whole lemon, 1 tbs of honey, 4 sticks of young asparagus mixed in the blender. It wasn't good for my HB, but helped with my chronic gastritis, helped with refluxes and like I mentioned cleaned me out, and caused NO SIDE EFFECTS of any kind at all!!! (The taste isn't very pleasent, my wife had it only once, therefore I would advise to use half the amount I used. - Anything is better then the medications and their side effects)

We were dealing with hypertension, 165/95 for a few years. Since the weight and cholesterol were great we could stay off the medication for so long. But a month ago the doctor said it was time for medication. We started the Wheat belly diet from Cardiologist William Davis and followed it very closely. We didn't change anything else, and after just 10 days, the blood pressure was 130/75 and it has been ever since. Maybe this can help someone else, it worked miracles for us!

Potassium

Vera,

The reason given for limiting potassium to 99 mg is discussed here :

https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Potassium-HealthProfessional/#:~:text=The use of potassium salts, be labeled with a warning.

Here is a relevant quote from the link :

' The use of potassium salts in certain medications has been associated with small-bowel lesions, causing obstruction, hemorrhage, and perforation [20, 74]. For this reason, the FDA requires some oral drugs providing more than 99 mg of potassium to be labeled with a warning. '

Regarding taking more than one 99 mg capsule of potassium at a time being safe or not, consider that one medium sized banana has 422 mg of potassium or more than 4 capsules of potassium. I don't think anyone has had a health issue from eating one medium sized banana unless it happened to be attached to a banana split and you ate it everyday as a supplement!

If you really want go for food with potassium, one medium baked potato has 940 mg of potassium and people eat those all the time.

I have been taking 8 grams of potassium bicarbonate (3,200 mg elemental potassium) everyday to buffer ascorbic acid for over a decade, no any side effect I notice of. BTW I have also been taking blood test every 3 months for over 6 years and everytime test results came back ok. For me, even such high supplemental potassium did no harm at all.

Hi Vera,

I use food grade potassium bicarbonate powder and ascorbic acid (vitamin C) powder, spoon them in a cup and add some water (about 100 ml). It will fizz up, the amount of ascorbic acid is such that the 2 are just enough to neutralize each other. Add more water if not totally dissolve. I drink the whole lot in one go early in the morning empty stomach.

My heart beat rate and blood pressure are both normal at my age now 70. Years ago before that my heart rate was quite fast and blood pressure a little bit high, doctor did nothing for that maybe my case not too serious. BTW haven't seen doctor for nearly 10 years.

B6, Folic Acid, and B12
Posted by Donna (Florida) on 11/12/2021

B6, B12, Folic acid do lower homocysteine. I disagree with your comment about it disrupting other B vitamins so stop taking it. It has been found that elevated homocysteine levels are responsible for heart attacks in most cases. Allopaths are much too concerned with cholesterol when they should be checking homocysteine and HSCRP (inflammation). If one is at risk for heart disease, these 3 B vitamins should be part of their supplement protocol.

High Blood Pressure Reading Tips

For blood pressure, the standard "norm" that is quoted is 120/80. But the poster who said "that is ludicrous, why should we all have the same blood pressure?" is absolutely correct. As with all things, YOU need to be aware of what your vital signs (including blood pressure) are, typically. My blood pressure usually runs "low." When I have it checked routinely (or we checked it in class), it is usually about 90-100 over 60-70. The nurse usually starts to say something about it being low, and I reply that it's always been that way--sometimes they will ask if I get dizzy spells if I stand up quickly, etc.--no, I don't. That really is NORMAL, for me. But recently (after taking baking soda daily for something unrelated) I started having a constant mild-to-moderate headache (for two days); and when I bent over, my head felt VERY full and painful. I suspected my blood pressure was high. I went and had it checked. It came out as 118/81, by their monitor, which they then pronounced as "normal, " of course--but I knew that for me it was definitely elevated. I stopped the baking soda yesterday; the headache is gone and when I bend over, there is still a feeling of excess pressure, but not at the alarming level it was before--so it is improving. The lesson is, you need to know YOUR "normal, " not the "normal" reference range. Many pharmacies will now check your blood pressure (and sometimes other vital signs) for free, so you can just have it checked whenever you stop in for something else and get a sense of what it runs normally. (A further lesson--although many sites will say that "baking soda will not elevate your blood pressure, " I am here to say that it can, at least for some people, so please be careful with it.)

Celtic Salt and Hypertension

Source: Salt Your Way to Health, 2nd Ed., p. 59-77,2010 by David Brownstein, MD -- ( WeLib.org )

My medical training was clear: A low-salt diet was good and a high-salt diet was bad. I was taught to promote a low-salt diet in all hypertensive cases. In fact, I was taught that in order to prevent people from becoming hypertensive, it was better to encourage them to adopt a life-long dietary plan of low-salt. My experience with promoting a low-salt diet to treat hypertension was not successful. Not only did I find a low-salt diet relatively ineffective at lowering blood pressure, but I also found a low-salt diet made my patients miserable due to the poor taste of their low-salt food. Additionally, I rarely saw any positive benefits with a low-salt diet.

Early in my medical career, I accepted the "low salt=lowered blood pressure" hypothesis unquestionably. It wasn't until I began to look at my patients in a more holistic manner that I began to study the medical literature about salt. What I found was astounding; there is little data to support low- salt diets being effective at treating hypertension for the vast majority of people. Also, none of the studies looked at the use of unrefined salt, which contains many valuable vitamins and minerals such as magnesium and potassium, which are vital to maintaining normal blood pressure. This chapter will explore this topic in more detail.

Jack, age 63, had been treated for hypertension for seven years. He was taking two antihypertensive medications in order to control his blood pressure. He was on a diuretic (Dyazide) and a beta-blocker (Lopressor). "The pills work. My blood pressure is normal if I take the pills. However, I don't feel well on them. My energy level is gone and I am always tired. I can't have intercourse with my wife. Since I started the blood pressure medication I can't get an erection. Worst of all, I feel like my brain has left my head. I can't keep anything straight, " he said. Jack's complaints about low energy, sexual problems and brain dysfunction are common when taking antihypertensive medications. When I examined Jack, I found him to be deficient in most minerals. Furthermore, he was deficient in salt. When I told Jack that he needed to use unrefined salt in his diet, he was incredulous. He said, "My other doctors told me to lower my salt intake. I stopped using salt on all foods. I buy only low-salt or no¬ salt food. I was worried that the additional salt would make my blood pressure go higher." Blood work showed Jack low in sodium. I encouraged him to use unrefined salt in his diet. Salt and additional mineral supplementation had a positive effect on Jack. "My food tasted better and I felt better. After a week of the salt and supplements, my head began to clear/' Jack claimed. Within two months, Jack was able to drop one of his medications (Dyazide) and decrease the other (Lopressor) medication in half.

Jack's story is very common in my practice. I don't feel that a patient with high blood pressure has an "antihypertensive medication deficiency" syndrome requiring prescription medications. My clinical experience has been clear: when nutrient imbalances are corrected, blood pressure will normalize itself. Elevated blood pressure is a sign of a problem in the body. Searching for and treating the underlying problems causing an elevation in blood pressure is the correct path to pursue.

Salt and Hypertension:

The History

The first report of a relationship between salt and high blood pressure came about in 1904. Two researchers, Ambard and Beujard, reported that salt deprivation was associated with lowered blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Over the next 50 years, various animal models were examined to support the hypothesis of salt causing high blood pressure. In almost all of these studies, huge amounts of salt (only in the form of refined salt—sodium chloride) were given to the animals to induce a significant hypertensive effect. The usual intake of salt was 10-20 times greater than the recommended dosages for these animals. Due to the high amounts of salt given to these animals, the correlation to a human population should have been suspect. Furthermore, these studies were not done with unrefined salt and its full complement of minerals.

However, the effect of eliminating refined salt on these overdosed rodents was the dramatic lowering of blood pressure. Medical researchers seized on these results and erroneously extrapolated them to a human population. Since that time, the "low salt=low blood pressure" dogma has been accepted as gospel. In fact, in 1979, the Surgeon General issued a report, based on the above studies, that claimed salt was the cause of high blood pressure and a low-salt diet was necessary to combat this.

From that moment on, governmental agencies, researchers, medical schools, and dieticians became obsessed with the idea of lowering the national salt intake to improve hypertension in the general population. Shortly after the release of the Surgeon General's report, Arthur Hull Hayes, Jr., commissioner of the FDA proclaimed, "I look forward to the day when the American public will be as conscious of sodium intake as of calorie intake. Sodium reduction must remain a general health goal for our nation."3 Without any substantial studies verifying that this idea was valid, the idea that lowering salt consumption would help improve hypertension was adopted by the medical community.

How Much Celtic Salt Should a Hypertensive Patient Consume?

Researchers have looked at numerous studies to arrive at their recommendations for sodium intake. Hypertensive patients can improve blood pressure modestly by limiting their sodium intake to 3-7 grams (approximately 1.5-7 teaspoons) of salt per day.

Too much of anything can be a problem for the body. Salt, like any substance, should not be taken in excess. Since refined salt is a toxic substance for the body, there should be no refined salt ingested in anyone's diet.

However, as has been pointed out earlier in this book, there is a great difference between refined and unrefined salt. I recommend only the use of unrefined celtic salt in one's diet. This will supply the body with over 80 minerals that are useful for maintaining the normal functioning of the body. My experience has shown that the use of unrefined sea salt has not resulted in elevated blood pressure in my patients. The amount of unrefined salt is directly related to the amount of water you consume. The more water you consume, the more unrefined salt you should ingest. I would recommend using 1/4 tsp of unrefined celtic salt for every quart of water ingested. The addition of small amounts of unrefined salt to food or cooking will not adversely affect blood pressure or other health parameters in someone with normal kidney function. For those with kidney problems, you must consult your physician on the appropriate salt intake.

Final Thoughts

My experience has clearly shown the fallacy of low-salt diets. For the great majority of people a low-salt diet does not work. People have a hard time maintaining these diets and the expected results are suboptimal. Patients do not feel well when sodium levels are lowered. Their energy level drops and they develop hormonal and immune system imbalances. Furthermore, other laboratory tests (lipid parameters) generally show worsened signs.

Physicians need a greater awareness of the difference between unrefined and refined salt. Refined salt needs to be avoided—it is a toxic, dangerous substance that fails to provide the body with little benefit. Unrefined salt should be the salt of choice.

I wanted to share with everyone a remedy that worked for me. I have always had high blood pressure and now that I'm in my 50's my doctor was trying to get me on meds ... no way I thought there has to be something natural that will get it under control ... I tried cider vinegar and actually make my own but it just never worked ... I then discovered birch tree 'Chaga' in fact it grows on trees all over our property ... what an impact it has made on my life ... My blood pressure is the lowest it's ever been, I've also lost 30 lbs in 5 months, I have more energy and sleep better and even my skin feels better ... I don't drink coffee anymore, only Chaga tea that I make from the mushrooms harvested off my property ... It's a well kept secret ... and I'm telling everyone, try it.

Approaching the HBP problem from a seemingly different angle, if you search "Buteyko" you will find the work of a Russian who concluded that the issue is caused by excess oxygen taken in by excessive and erratic breathing, which oxygen then becomes free radicals, highly destructive.

The body creates HBP to stop it from burning up from excess oxygen. Compare it to a deep sea diver who has to carefully monitor his intake of CO2 and oxygen. Similarly do we. there is much reading and practices one can do to heal HBP thru correct breathing- not "deep breathing".

I understand that ACV works because the hydrogen protons in it [ pH is best understood as "hydrogen potential power for the number of protons available for dealign with oxygen] .

So increase your hydrogen to counter oxygen, and/or reduce your breathing to where it ought to be, and the need for the body to manifest HBP and many other conditions will vanish.

Manage your breathing and it will drop 40 points quickly.

I though that the following might be of interest. I am a male of 57 years. I had a heart attack and subsequent angioplasty with stents when I was 45 and then until earlier in 2008 I was fine.

In June I had a series of heart attacks followed by bypass surgery. All went really fine but shortly after being released from hospital I developed very high blood pressure of 200+ over 100+. Despite various changes of medication by my doctor, my blood pressure would not stay under control and so I started my search for "other" remedies, which is what lead me to this site.

I tried the Apple Cider Vinigar cure, and although it did relieve the acid indigestion that I sometimes suffer from, it did not help with my blood pressure which despite continuing to take my medication would often read 210 over 118 or more (The ACV did not help me to lose any weight either.

It seemed as if a stroke was inevitable and I was beginining to despair when I read that L- Arganine helps to lower blod pressure. I tried the maximum recommended dose (as well as my meds) of 1 gram 3 times a day, and did see a little improvement, but still in the region of 170 over 95.

Then I made a break through. As you can imagine, I have spent a lot of time seaching the internet for help (hope) and I have read just about everything that has been published from the various research papers regarding high blood pressure. I read a report that natural progestorone cream - in addition to many other benefits - lowers blood pressure. Three weeks ago, I started to apply natural progesterone cream at the dose of 10 mgs morning and evening. I continued to take 1 gram L-Arganine 3 times a day as well as using my medication.

Yesterday morning I took my blood pressure reading and to my delight it was 127 over 89. It stayed around this figure with all of my daytime readings and this morning was 130 over 84. I know that this may not seem to be a great reading, but for me it is fantastic. I am not recommending any of what I have tried as being right for anyone else, but it may be something that others may want to research if they, like me, cannot get their BP under control.

I read about fennel helping to reduce blood pressure. I bought some at the grocery store--fennel seed in the spice department. It is all natural, salt free,no msg, no preservatives, non-irradiated. Well I chewed it real well, about a fouth teaspoon-3 times a day. The next day I only took it in the morning, only. My blood pressure readings were just amazing all day long. AT 7;35 A.M. it was l3l-70, at noon it was l22-65, at 5;00p.m. it was ll3-58. I will try this every day now, and keep you posted.

Kefir
Posted by Art (California ) on 12/31/2016 2901 posts

In reply to P. Raghavan (Virudhunagar, Tn, India),

While I have no doubt whatsoever that kefir is a healthful source of probiotics and probiotics can be beneficial to human health, how can you be sure that it was not the hypertension meds that his doctor prescribed that caused the massive reduction in blood pressure as opposed to the kefir or possibly a combination of the meds and kefir?

Kefir has studies behind it that suggest it may be helpful for hypertension, but I haven't seen any studies yet that have shown such a massive reduction in blood pressure so quickly by itself. It seems that for the sake of safety in cases of hypertension where the pressure readings are so dangerously excessive, it may be safer to first let the doctor get the blood pressure down to a safer range before experimenting with kefir.

If a person's blood pressure is 220/180, it is absolutely possible that they can die or have a major health event from that condition. The way you described this anecdote, some readers may get the impression that kefir alone may be able to bring this aggressively high blood pressure down to the normal range and may decide to try kefir instead of seeking immediate medical attention.

If the kefir alone doesn't happen to work for them, the potential for death or serious health event may increase significantly. Because of the potential for serious health consequences of very high blood pressure, it might be safer to err on the side of caution in cases of such high blood pressure / hypertension.

Art,

As per your statement, high blood pressure problem mentioned in my thread, might have been cured by one of the following:

1) Kefir

2) High blood pressure medications

3) Kefir and high blood pressure medications

The electrician developed high blood pressure problem immediately after an antibiotic/steroids treatment. It is well known that any antibiotic/steroids treatment will disturb probiotic balance in the digestive system. The current high blood pressure medications are : Diuretics, Beta blockers, ACE inhibitors, Calcium channel blockers, etc. These medications will not correct the probiotic balance in the digestive system. Also, I knew three people who were Diabetes Type 2 with high blood pressure problem, took Kefir to cure Diabetes Type 2 problem. To their surprise, their high blood pressure problems were also solved. All these three people became Diabetes Type 2 with high blood pressure problem after antibiotic treatments. My opinion is that Kefir cured the high blood problem in the above case.

I agree with you that if anyone with high blood pressure problem want to try Kefir routine, they should not give up their blood pressure medications.

Also, Kefir should not be taken if

1) they are allergic to Kefir or

2) they have chronic migraines or

3) they have compromised immune systems such as those undergoing Chemotherapy.

If one wants to try Kefir routine for high blood pressure problem, the person may read 33 Kefir user reviews available in webmd and also articles on Kefir in livestrong.com. If possible one can do lab stool testing to determine probiotic deficiencies of nitric oxide generating probiotic bacteria ( L. Plantarum, L. Rhamnosus and L. Fermentum ). Probiotic deficiency of a particular strain can be determined by counting the number of bacteria of the particular strain in a unit volume of stool and comparing with those of healthy individuals. If there are probiotic deficiencies of nitric oxide generating bacteria, there is a very good chance that Kefir will work. Otherwise it may not work since the underling cause for high blood problem may be different.

Best wishes P. Raghavan.

I wish people would realize that animal fats and meat are not a plague on mankind. I used to get secondary high blood pressure. It would come on at any time. I exercised (walked to work every day about 2 miles). I got rid of it by nixing vegetable oils specifically corn, peanut, soybean and canola oils.

I also started eating a healthy diet, meaning ancient wisdom from our ancestors- eggs, meat with the fat, liver, soaked grains, no processed breads or foods etc. I did not do any vegan/vegetarian stuff. I drank raw milk and avoided all processed foods. And guess what? After about 5 months, my rheumatoid arthritis and secondary high blood pressure went away as if by magic. People have to look beyond what they are being told and realize that we are the sickest we've ever been. The usual 'eat lots of veggies great health and avoid animal fats for great health' is not true. I only mention the book because it's the most concentrated source for getting back your health. Dear Meadow,

I am not sure why you began using baking soda. But here is my 2 cents. We, in our family have had a spectrum of the modern issues re health. Between all 6 of us it has been 10 solid years of undoing tremendous damage. My side of the family is all low blood pressure and low body temp. Each of my children are different in this regard. What struck me was your response to baking soda.

My daughter with the most debilitating issues had the same response to baking soda. When we started that and vitamin c she had problems. They made her issues worsen. We stopped hers. She got the best results with correcting her absorption of nutrients. Not one remedy worked. She blended and chopped every morsel of food. Took bromelain enzyme and n acetyl cystine as the precursor to glutathione and quercetin to reduce reactions to foods and supplements.

If you have trouble with baking soda and get a headache I suspect you may have some problems as our bodies produce bicarbonate for digestion and headaches are a symptom of digestive issues.

Just a thought. Janet

Probiotic Capsules for High Blood Pressure

One of the reasons for high blood pressure problem is the probiotic imbalance in the digestive system. Probiotic imbalance is caused by :

1) Antibiotic / Steroid Treatment,

2) Stress,

3) High fat diet ( Animal fat and Vegetable fat ),

4) Sedentary Lifestyle,

5) Smoking,

6) Alcohol, etc.

According to research papers available in the net, there are probiotic (friendly) bacteria in the digestive system that can generate nitric oxide from the food we eat. Nitric oxide will join the blood stream and dilate all stiff blood vessels in the body. The nitric oxide generating bacteria mentioned in these papers are : 1) L. Plantarum 2) L. Rhamnosus 3) L. Fermentum. If there are deficiencies of nitric oxide generating bacteria in the digestive system, high blood pressure problem will develop.

There are multi strain probiotic capsules available for about us dollar 28 ( 60 capsules ) in Amazon.com. Its name is : ULTRA-30 Probiotics - 18 strains - 60 capsules. This capsule contains L. Plantarum, L. Rhamnosus and L. Fermentum. Among these three probiotic strains, L. Plantarum plays a critical role. The simple procedure to solve the high blood pressure problem is as follows :

" Take one probiotic capsule in the morning 30 minutes before breakfast for 60 days " .

If the high blood problem is not solved in 60 days, then the reason for high blood pressure problem is other than probiotic imbalance like :

1) Genetics,

2) Chronic kidney disease,

3) Ardenal and Thyroid disorder,

4) Sleep Apnea, etc.

My guess is that high blood pressure problem will be solved by this procedure for more than 60 % of the people.

Best Wishes

P. Raghavan.

I have been w/this hypertension-grotesque readings, still alive, no cardiac problems, no banging headaches etc and on and tried various prescriptions with no effect and the side effects are horrendous for me-severe fatigue and simply NOT FEELING right-so since these prescriptions are not doing a good job and the ACV/garlic didn't do diddly squat the same.

I remembered good old mag sulfate proven to lower BP in preeclamptic--now THEY state the use is for prevention of seizures - bull....it was given to get that BP down-so am now fasting throughout the day. I am drinking almost a gallon of distilled water w/a tiny pinch of sea salt every other glass and will now add a tiny pinch of good old mag sulfate/epsom salt and increase very very gradually to maybe less than 1/8 tsp daily and see what happens in a week or so-I break the fast late evening w/a cup of authentic oat meal....this is only MY IDEA and cannot recommend to anyone out here the same.

Signing myself -sick and tired OF being sick and tired and this BP problem came outta the blue 5 years ago.

Arginine, NAC
Posted by Art (California) on 04/13/2022 2901 posts

Lori,

I should probably ask EC to take that post down.

It continued working for me for a long time but it also reduced my Lysine /Arginine ratio which can tend to make you more susceptible to certain viruses and that is not good for people who have herpes or shingles and in my case it caused me to catch one cold after another before I finally figured out what was going on. Then I started supplementing L-Lysine to rebalance the Lysine/Arginine ratio which resolved my cold issues and I kept taking that trio to maintain blood pressure in range, but eventually decided that it was not practical or efficient, imo, to take three supplements twice a day to control blood pressure.

So I stopped the trio and found something else that I only take one pill once a day and it works very well. As a matter of fact I will be writing about it as soon as my testing is done with two friends who are testing it themselves and then I can recommend it on EC. So far, I am impressed, but I want my friends to finish their testing before I recommend it on EC.

Someone on this site had posted that her son in law brought his HBP under control by drinking Eggplant water, and it was tried by me and I confirm that it does work.

Now how to do it, peel the eggplant skin off and then make small pieces and put it in a glass jar fill it with water cover it with the lid and put the jar in the fridge, after 48 hrs you can start drinking this water at least twice a day say 200 ml each time. Each time you drink this water, you can put same amount of fresh water in the jar and finish it in three days. After that you can make the fresh batch. The capacity of the jug should be around one to one and a half liter. I suggest you try this and see if it helps, I am sure if it does not help then it is not going to harm you either.

Good luck.

Here we go again. Trying to solve a problem that doesn't need solving.

Blood pressure and cholesterol are irrelevant when it comes to cardiovascular health. It's all about cleaning the arteries. Nothing more. Of course, too low blood pressure and you can faint.

The problem with even measuring blood pressure is that your blood pressure varies through out the entire day. Blood pressure readings are mostly irrelevant.

Now they are saying that people's pressure varying is the real cause of strokes. The lies of blood pressure are starting to crack. Instead of 1 in 3 people being put on statin drugs, they can put everyone on statin drugs.

The myths of heart disease and strokes are so deeply imbedded in people.

nattokinase supplements. This natural enzyme helps to dissolve fibrin, cholesterol and calcium that has accumulated in the arteries of the body. It is a clot buster.

Fibrolytic enzymes prevents all the problems that high blood pressure and all those other phantom causes is to cause even hardening of the arteries.

After beginning to have high blood pressure early in pregnancy (not too high, but alarming at 140/90), I had heard that Magneisum might be the key to getting it back down. I was already taking calcium and getting potassium, so it was magnesium that I thought might do the trick. I started consuming 3 squares of 100% cacao baking bar with a little raw honey spread on for taste. The next time I went back for a checkup, my blood pressure was back down to 116/70 and has stayed there. I HIGHLY recommend this tactic. It has also cured my leg cramps I get at night from being pregnant. If I don't have my chocolate, my cramps will come back, so I know it's the chocolate. It's important to spread the consumption of the chocolate throughout the day so that you are not getting too much caffeine in one sitting. I usually have one after breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A great, healthy desert!

Apple Cider Vinegar and Baking Soda

Do not mix any vinegar with baking soda!

Vinegar is an acid, and baking soda is a base. When you combine acids with bases, they neutralize each other, resulting in two major items which are neither acidic nor basic: water and sodium.

So, by mixing vinegar with baking soda, you're changing the therapy from a beneficial vinegar to a harmful sodium!

Hi, I'm surprised that this remedy is not on here but those of you with high or low blood pressure might wish to research PROPER Sea Salt (ie: unrefined, coarse sea salt)

This link is a good starting point http://www.relfe.com/low_salt_diet_dangers.html

I hope you find relief. Best wishes and thanks for such a marvellous website,

Magnesium

Hi , I was just following up on Naturalone from Stillwater, Mn, Usa idea about Magnesium, and high blood pressure, as my HBP has rocket ted in the last few months.

Hi Dennis, I just wanted to comment on your post. You mentioned that at first, the ACV appeared to be helping, but then quickly took a turn for the worse. When you mentioned esophageal reflux and anxiety, I immediately thought Magnesium. In addition to the hypertension, both of these conditions can be directly related to low Mg. levels. Not to mention that your medications also contribute to Mg. wasting.

I'm not suggesting that you ditch your meds, but I would highly recommend that you consider adding Mg. into your daily routine.

I had changed my diet, cutting out alot of different foods (I went Paelo) to see what might be triggering my multiple inflammation problems. So I thought I would do a search on Magnesium rich foods, which turned out to be most of what foods I had cut out, such as beans and soy products! Within 24 hours my blood pressure had come down, just adding 1/4 teaspoon of Epsom salts to the cider vinegar bicarb mix, which I try to have three times a day. Also it has cured the constipation that has also been a problem recently. I have been trying to keep protein down to a minimum and it is very interesting how little you really need. Christina

Blood Pressure Readings

To Eve from Liverpool:

That's what we've been told, but unfortunately the information is very misleading and appears to be intentional. I found this article (I've listed below) very interesting, especially where it states that just four years ago high blood pressure was classified as 160/95.

"Here Are the Best Natural Cures for High Blood Pressure:

High blood pressure is classified as a systolic pressure of more than 140 and the diastolic pressure of more than 90. It's interesting to note that about 4 years ago, high blood pressure was classified as 160/95. The lowering of the standard has little to with health risks, and a lot more to do with how much money goes into the FDA, and the entire pharmaceutical industry. This is part of the reason that many of the natural cures for high blood pressure are not publicized. However, without much further ado, here are the best natural cures for high blood pressure:

Apple Cider Vinegar - This is a miracle cure for high blood pressure patients. Apple Cider Vinegar acts very fast, and you will start seeing a difference in your blood pressure within a week with it. You do not need any other medication for high blood pressure with apple cider vinegar.

Dosage - Take one full tablespoon 3 times a day for the best results.

Preparation - Nothing special. If it's too strong for you, you can mix it with a glass of water.

Recommendation - Buy an unpasteurized apple cider vinegar brand. A good one I know of is the _____s organic Apple Cider Vinegar.

Downsides - None as such. You might want to add in a bit of Sodium Bi-Carbonate to help provide the extra carbonates that your body will need due to the acidic nature of Apple Cider Vinegar.

This is easily one of the best natural cures for high blood pressure."

We know from reading EC that raw ACV has worked well for many. Thanks to the drug companies and their scare tactics we've been lead to believe we are all suppose to run somewhere around 120/80. More drugs, more money in their pockets. As if they need it, they are already a billion dollar industry.
