2 oz lemon juice and 2 oz olive oil did the trick for me. Rushed to the emergency room with worst pain of my life, tests showed I had a 3mm stone. Morphine in the ER and Norco to take at home. I was taking the pain pill every 2 hours and then found this remedy. I downed the whole 4 oz at once and almost immediately the pain was gone. I never had to take another pain pill and the next morning the stone passed -- caught it in the strainer they gave me at the ER. BTW - after I took the 4 oz at once, I read on to see that most sites recommend drinking it a little at a time to avoid nausea... probably a good idea.

I had a non-obstructive 6mm lower pole calyceal stone detected by ultrasound and was referred to a urologist who was sure I was a surgical candidate because of where it was. Mine wasn't trying to pass and only caused a little pain from time to time. I read all of the posts on this site, but no one had my situation - a stone that was just sitting there in a calyx and not trying to pass...

My urologist sent me for a low-dose CT scan and in the 3-4 days before I went, I took the lemon juice & olive oil remedy about 4 times over 3 days in an attempt to dissolve it. I also drank a LOT of heavily concentrated lemon water (50% lemon)and did a shot or two of apple cider vinegar. When I got my CT scan results today, the doctor was surprised and said, "That's why we do a CT because the ultrasound showed a 6 mm stone! " All I have now, after my Earth Clinic lemon juice/olive oil remedy, is a few teeny tiny kidney stone spots ("punctate calculi") that I shouldn't even feel as they pass! She recommended I continue with the lemon juice to maintain alkalinity and a stone-free kidney.

I have had chronic kidney stones for over 30 years. I was cranking out so many that the Mayo clinic was studying me. They finally decided I had an overactive parathyroid gland which they surgically removed, and my calcium levels returned to normal. But I kept getting stones... Since I'm very active and don't "need extra calcium for strong bones" I cut out all foods and vitamins with calcium added and it helped.

Over the years I started to notice a pattern of what I had ingested about 6 months earlier that seemed to create stones. I came to the conclusion that Tylenol, and probably other medications were causing the stones. There is a nice little mouse trap. The medication doctors gave me to deal with the pain of the stones were causing more stones... So I cut out ALL medications and I have never been healthier! Its hard to do since we are being constantly bombarded by advertising that says we need all these drugs!

After being talked into a Hep C treatment that I didn't need, I've come to realize that most Doctors are not our friends... They are pharmaceutical drug pushers! One of my truisms of life is don't trust anyone who stands to profit from their own advice! When I had health insurance the Doctors found all kinds of things that needed help. Now that I don't have health insurance I'm very healthy... Funny how that works.

I've come to realize that the medical industrial complex is just another shameful predatory business. By regularly taking "medicine" you inhibit the immune systems ability to heal itself, thus making you dependent, addicted in fact, on taking more drugs. And then the drugs have side effects, requiring more drugs. Have you seriously looked at the side effects of medicines? Its actually much worse than that!

It's the new warfare for profit but has the advantage of slowly bleeding the patients life savings away, and keeping the property intact... If we don't pay the extortion fee of high insurance premiums, we could be driven into bankruptcy... Since we pay these high insurance premiums, we feel like we should be using it, which keeps us unhealthy and entangled in legal drug addiction...

A week ago I started to feel discomfort in my right kidney, and my urine was darker meaning there was probably blood in it, and I was chronically tired. I read many responses here ranging from people passing sand, stone(s) or nothing at all by trying the lemon juice and olive oil method, some taking days and some weeks. I believed it all because no one was trying to sell me anything...

My right kidney was starting to block up when I did the first treatment, but I knew the big pain was coming... For a couple of hours I still felt blocked up, but the next morning felt fine, and by the end of the day my urine was clearer and my energy level got much stronger. I haven't passed any stones or sand yet, which seems to be in the range of what people experience. I do believe the people who did a proper scientific study by doing X rays before and after showing, to the amazement of the doctors, no stones!

It is sad and pathetic to think that I have spent tens of thousands of dollars, and countless hours in pain when such a simple solution works. Don't trust anyone who profits from their own advice. Don't regularly put anything in your mouth that is not food.

So true. Doctors LOVE to give CT scans and other, usually unnecessary procedures. They don't care. It's a new roof for them or a new Cadillac or a new fancy for their kid. I had to have my left breast removed 27 years ago b/c of malpractice. Now I'm dealing with kidney stones and they have to x-ray everything, multiple times! Another CT scan tomorrow. If radiation kills you, I'm dead. Take what doctors say with a grain of salt and do your own research! Get a second opinion, if you have any doubts.

While I agree with you about what you said about doctors. Saying "don't listen to anyone that profits from their own advise" is absurd.

That mean's never buy anything that will teach you how to do anything.

Never take any courses and never pay anyone to help you for anything. Never buy a non-fiction, instructional or self-help book.

All bad advice not everyone is out to screw you or rip you of and as person that has written books that has helped many people, and as a person that has 1200 books and taken numerous courses, I will say that your negative belief of not trusting anyone is incorrect.

If it was not for all of the books and courses I have bought from people selling their advice, I would not be in the great health I'm in nor would have I have made the amount of money I have made.

Going to try it! My 18yr old daughter is currently on Tylenol w/codein. Double dose, every 4 hours! I hate it!

You reminded me of what my grandmother always told me (she was a medical doctor...surgeries and all! Invited to give university lectures well into her 70's!!! Very respected!!! ) Homeopathy first! Always try natural remedies first! Pharmaceuticals should always be a last resort!!

Thanks for reminding me!!!

I have had difficulties with kidney stones for the past 10 years. I had to undergo emergency surgery 3 months ago to have a .8mm stone removed from my ureter. I recently had lithotripsy on one of my kidneys. I have passed some very small stones, but I felt the painful presence of at least one stone stuck in my bladder. After about 2 weeks of it floating around and periodically jabbing me, I finally relented and tried the olive oil and lemon juice remedy, which I had successfully used in the past. But, I was not certain if it truly worked or was just coincidence. Now I am convinced!!! IT WORKS!!!!!!! Within 4 hours of drinking the remedy I passed not one, but THREE kidney stones of increasing size. THANK YOU FOR THIS WEBSITE AND POSTINGS!

How much of olive oil and lemon did you mix for those stones to get out from your kidneys? How many times in a day ? Did you take it before each meal or after?

Was it painful when you passed the three stones after drinking the lemon juice and olive oil?

Hi all, I am also suffering from this stone problem, I have passed several stones through urine, more than 8 times. The last one I passed was very big around 8-9mm, and I felt very strong pain not on passing but after it passed away but it's for an hour only. It was because it bruised internally.

I have seen my spouse suffer this pain numerous times. He takes extra oil in diet with lemon juice daily. The stones form when a person is either dehydrated or has a mineral imbalance the body is using the kidney to dispose excess. If you don't feel like the full dose, then have a salad with vinegar and oil dressing and a cup of lemon water . Take an epsom salt bath to relax and absorb some magnesium . Drink smoothie with orange, kale, lemon, ice today . Eat some popcorn popped in coconut oil, with sea salt on it and have some lemonaid.

ER is going to give you powerful drugs, food is safer, sooner is better. Stay calm .Google pregnancy sites for more reassurances.

Safer than drugs from the hospital, I am sure...or worse, surgery during pregnancy.

Yes, olive oil and lemon juice does work for kidney stones. I've already had surgery once (on my first stone, 6mm) and was searching for a home remedy when I saw a Duke doctor recommend lemon juice for kidney stones.

While I've only taken straight lemon juice once (my stomach didn't like it), I've found that natural lemonade mixed with 1/2-1 full lemon's juice per serving almost immediately takes away the pain. It's really almost unbelievable.

If I do this regularly the pain goes away for quite some time, weeks. Probably as well as the stone. But I always end up having to revert back to this again. Some people form kidney stones faster than others and my diet of no water surely forms mine quickly. Plus I have a high oxalate diet that I cannot do without. Well, and the fact that mother has passed many as well as my grandpa.

My next step is to try the master cleanse to really give my stones the one- two punch. It's a fast of organic made lemonade and is known to dissolve gallstones as well as other things

Please note that most people don't recommend lemonade over lemon juice due to the high amount of sugar. But this is what I've used and it is in the very least the best pain reliever if not kidney stone destroyer I've found.

Lemon and Olive oil for kidney stones

3 days ago. Mine hit me like a ton of bricks. One day I was fine the next day flat on my back, with Hydrocodone, Advil, and a valium not even TOUCHING the pain. I knew what it was just through evaluation although I had never had the pleasure of experiencing one. Everything they say is true. I had to crawl to the bathroom the pain was so severe. Started researching as a last ditch attempt before going to the ER, followed by CAT scan and all the other lovely goings on that I knew would follow. :/ Earth Clinic has been a go to site for me for a decade now and has never failed me. Fell onto the Lemon/Olive oil suggestion and immediately tried it. By this time it was evening of the first day. Woke up next day, "thought" it felt a little better...did another round of it that morning...followed by a 2nd round before bed. Next day felt 80% better!!!! Followed same routine. Today (3rd day), I can barely feel it. Will continue this protocol until it disappears completely. ?? To my knowledge, I haven't passed anything or was so small I wasn't aware of it. The progression feels more like to me that it's dissolving (?). Is anyone aware of what the technical principle is behind how this works ? (which it obviously does..?) as in say, what role does the Olive oil play? Can Ted explain it, I would love to know his thoughts on it. Thanks AGAIN Earth Clinic. You are a life saver!!

I had been diagnosed w/a 4mm kidney stone in the hospital ER via CTscan. Dr gave me pain killers & naseau medicine-that's it. Went to Uroligist 2 days later-he gave me Flomax-no results. I found this site here & gave the olive oil & lemon juice a try. 3 days later I'm totally pain free! I haven't seen a stone yet, so I'm guessing it got dissolved by the oolj mixture. Like Drano for kidney stones!

Hello Cecile,

Congratulations on eliminating kidney stones. I've succeeded in riding myself four times. As preventative do the same thing but on a small scale;

Take lemon juice from one half lemon in glass of water six times in one day. (Three lemons.) Do that one day a week as a preventative. If still problems, double the once a week as preventative.

Hi! I just started this lemon juice & olive oil remedy this past week due to symptoms of a possible kidney stone. All i can say so far is that when i get pain in my lower back and around by abdominal, it goes away after drinking this mix. I am still waiting for stone to pass. I really hate this feeling and it is quite frustrating.

This remedy can be a permanent fix with following procedure, it takes 48 hrs to disolve all the kidney stones without pain/trace and no doctor fee absolutely.

Day 1

1. Drink a cup of apple juice every one hour, should take atleast 6 to 8 classes on that day.

2. Should intake glass of distilled water for every 30 min after taking apple juice. if you're not getting distilled water, regular purified water is good enough.

3. No foods on day 1. (No breakfast, no lunch, no dinner)

Day 2

1. Take cup of lemon juice mix it with cup of extra virgin olive oil.

2. drink 5 or 6 tablespoons of mixture for every 15 mins untill entire mixture is taken.

3. cook 6 peeled bananas for 15 min's with cup of olive oil. (yess.... it's regular banana fruit)

4. cut the banans into pieces and eat every single piece in 15 min interval.

5. Once everything is completed, you will be urged for natural actions with in 2 to 3 hrs where u can see all the kidney stones comes out.

Get your ph up.. If you have kidney stones you are too acidic.. No soda for sure! Read on ph and alkaline diet

Hi Rajesh, do you eat all the bananas within 15 minutes? Or, do you eat just a few of them every 15 minutes until all gone (like the lemon/oil mixture)?

Definitely YEA, because I was diagnosed with a 6mm kidney stone which they said was borderline for treatment. So they sent me home after giving me a pain killing jab. At home , in desperation I found earth clinic and this cure And took two doses of the 2oz lemon/olive oil on 2 consecutive days.

I found that this immediately stopped the pain so that all I felt was pressure and discomfort. After a couple of weeks that went too.

Now, 8 weeks later , I have just been for X-ray and the doctor was astounded that it was gone, but also that I had not passed it . The lemon and olive oil must have somehow dissolved it! In his disbelief he is sending me for a CT scan to make sure its gone, but I know it has because I have no symptoms at all .

Earth clinic is a fab idea. I am now going to try some of the hot flash cures too!

Please be aware that there is almost no need for surgery when it comes to kidney stones. They have many products on the internet that dissolves the glue that holds kidney stones together turning them to mush that get excreted out. Home made solutions can work also. The advantage I think with some products is that they address different aspects like possible infections. Do not have any surgery. They can be cured them naturally. Doctors will generally not mention this.

Hydrangea bought in pill/capsule form in health food stores was the American Indian medicine to take away pain in your lower abdomen! I have passed a 6mm stone without feeling it, and I recently passed a 3.5mm stone that caused me pain the first 12 hours, but after starting the lemon juice/olive oil, Hydrangea, and using an item called chanca piedra (stone breaker) my stone passed within 14 hours! (When it passed I didn't feel anything, saw the stone in the strainer! )

I keep chanca piedra, Hydrangea with 100% lemon juice and 100% olive oil in our house all the time, as my cat scan a few years back showed I had 9 stones, 4 in one kidney, 5 in another! I've passed at least 5 of them, and all with little problem! When we travel, we take these items with us just in case!

My Doctor's office was amazed when I brought the 6mm stone in and told them it was pain free!

My journey began over 4 months ago. On vacation I ended up in the er with my first stone 8mm. After cutting my vacation short I returned home to see the urologist . He informed that the odds were against me passing the rock but it is safe to give it a try. Fresh squeezed lemons as much as I could stand and buckets of water. My pain was at a minimum most of the time. 2 months later and 2 x rays the stone was gone. The urologist said I had to know I passed something that big but I did not. I thought that was its end of my ks saga but no not yet. 6 weeks later back in the er with a ct scan and what they said was 11mm stone that was hidden. Urologist wanted another kub that showed a 8mm stone , the same stone, he said. I began the apple cider vinegar twice a day for 3 days. Then tried lemon and olive oil for 2 days and was preparing to have it blasted with lithotripsy on Monday. I felt like I was being rushed through the entire process so I canceled the litho and got a second opinion. Now after a ultra sound I was informed that I am stone free. My new urologist assured me that none of the home remedies would help but I passed a 8mm stone on my own. Still don't know when I passed the bastard and I don't care. Thank God it's over. 4 months and 2 weeks 6 kub's 1 ct scan and 1 ultra sound. 48 hours away from a procedure I didn't need. Get a second opinion. It saved me from unnecessary surgery and stress. Keep the faith.

I was reading all the great results people have with the olive oil and lemon juice mix when having kidney stones. I do have a 5mm stone coming down my ureter, I was told my ureter is narrow due to some scar tissue I developed after a previous surgery. (no kidney or ureter related).. My question is: have anybody in this group try to pass the stone with OOLJ having a narrow ureter? Any suggestions? Thanks!

The thing that really works for me is apple cider vinegar! I have suffered several times with kidney stones. ACV had come to the rescue! I had a bout with it a while back and with-in twenty minutes the pain (severe lower back pain) had subsided.... I still had the pain but it wasn't as severe - I might add that when I had the attack, I couldn't even straighten up... I hurt soooo bad! I felt it all in the lower back area! I took a couple more doses (two Tbles. ) about every three hours throughout the day until the pain was completely gone. The way I understand it is that the ACV goes in and softens or breaks down and dissoves the stone... Causing it to crumble. I have seen remnents of it in the stool later on after taking the ACV. It looks kinda like sand that's washed up on a beach! I take apple cidar vinegar every day now. I still suffer from kidney stones once in a great while (I drink tea a lot and this causes kidney stones, , , BUT - I am hooked on tea, I can't help it)!! I will just take a bigger dose of the ACV and it works! I talked to my doctor and she told me what to watch out for if indeed I am passing the kidney stones... She told me that my urine will seem frothy (bubbly), and there will be tiny grits of what looks like sand that will float to the bottom of the stool. That's exactly what I see when I have had a kidney stone attack and they pass! Hope this helps! Have a great day.

I stumbled across this site after returning home from the emergency room the other day diagnosed with a 3.6 mm kidney stone. I was not even searching for home remedies, I was searching for an image of what the stone might look like. Thank God for Earth Clinic! I tried the lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil remedy at 5pm the day after returning home from the ER. The stone passed WITHOUT ANY PAIN at 1pm the following day. Am going to search this site for some other ailments that have been troubling me. Thank you Earth Clinic!

I had my first kidney stone last year, two days before Thanksgiving, with a household full of company. They hauled me out the door to the ER the day after Thanksgiving. I had a CT scan and they found one 5-6mm stone on my right side and said there might be one on the left side. Although they sent me home with pain meds, I began vomiting non-stop and went back and spent another 8 hours in the hospital before they again, sent me home to wait for the Blasting machine that would be available on Monday.

I have had four children through natural childbirth, and have NEVER felt such pain as I did with this stone.

Now here I am almost one year later and it's begun again. Two days ago I thought I had food poisoning. Then by last night I realized what was wrong and spent a night unable to sleep, wandering the house, waiting for morning.

A friend told me to take 3 Naproxin and research some home remedies since I did not want to repeat what happened last year. Then I came upon this site. I've had my first Lemon Juice/Olive Oil drink and will repeat that mid-day and tonght. Hopefully I'll have a great report like many others have posted here.

I'll be back!

I drank 2 oz lemon juice mixed with 2 oz olive oil. Then went to the Urgent Care for them to do a urinalysis in case it was a UTI (which my doctor's office recommended) because it was the end of the day .

The Urgent care doctor's assistant argued with me and told me I did NOT belong there, but I should be at the ER. I nicely told her I was trying the lemon juice with oil treatment to see if it would pass on it's now. Again she told me I should NOT be seeing the doctor there. She was not very nice about it. But finally came back with the doctor.

The doctor then told me she would not prescribe pain meds when I SHOULD be in the ER so they could do a CT scan to see how big the stone was. I told her about reading about the lemon juice and and oil and they both looked at me like I was going to wave a magic wand over myself. I told her nicely, that I was doing what my doctor's office recommended, and that they felt I could try it my way for a few hours, if I could tolorate the pain.

They both did everything but roll their eyes and told me they worried about me being septic, and how fast that can move. I assured them I would be back if I ran a temp. Or was in great pain. And they said, "So you'll end up in the ER anyway, so why not go now?"

Grrr. I did the urine and it came back with blood and they said, you do have a kidney stone. And they said since my episode started out with diarrhea, that was very abnormal (yet I've read that it happens that way with a lot of people! ).

ANYWAY, I drank the second glass, took more Naproxin, and went to sleep. Wokr up in the very next morning, passed the stone... Felt it. It was a one second, Yikes, moment. When I pulled it from the jar, it broke into 7 pieces in my hand. It was bigger than the 6mm stone I had last year!

I am SO happy! I will use the lemon juice any time I do this again. This is my second round with a kidney stone. The incident last year, involved an eventual UTI, two ER visits, a reaction to pain meds, a 12 hour hospital stay, and a 5 day wait for a blasting machine.

Happy, in Seattle!

I've been having kidney stone pain for just over a week. I'd have good and bad days. Last night and today were pretty terrible, not gonna lie. Well, I tried a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and that did help with the pain, but I was still miserable from the pressure so I tried the 2 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice mixed with 2 oz organic extra virgin olive oil. I ate it with a spoon. It tastes like lemon juice - totally not gross or anything! I KID YOU NOT, within one hour I passed a stone that was 1/2" long and 1/4" wide! Without pain. Not making this up. Still a little shocked! There may be more, so I'm going to keep using this amazing remedy for a day or two. I love earth clinic!!!

I passed a kidney stone in 1990. A couple of weeks ago, I had similar pain and was diagosed with a 5mm stone in my right kidney. The ER doctor had a urologist take a look and he prescribed Flomax. I took it for a week and saw him in his office, where he found two more small stones in my left kidney. The 5mm stone had moved down to what I guess is just above my bladder. From reading this site, that seems like a common spot for them to get stuck for a while. The doctor didn't want to talk about cause or prevention. He just wanted to go in through my penis, grab it and drag it out, and leave a stent behind.

I scheduled the surgery but I felt like I had been sold a used car that I didn't want. The next day I cancelled the surgery and started taking chanca piedra, olive oil and lemons, and apple cider vinegar and apple juice in addition to still continuing to take the Flomax and lots of water.

I just passed the stone - 6 days later. Thanks so much for this site. I guess they would say that the Flomax worked, but I think the other things helped.

The dosage was two droppers of Break Stone from Amazon.com (chanca piedra and a couple of other things) in 1 cup of water twice a day, 2 oz. olive oil and 2 oz. lemon juice twice a day, and 2 oz. apple cider vinegar with the mother and 4 oz. Apple juice twice a day. I meant to take them three times a day, but things got in the way. The lemons cause nasty diarrhea so I couldn't take it unless I was close to a bathroom. And I get heartburn at night if I'm not careful, so I didn't take anything harsh like apple cider vinegar just before bedtime.

Once again, thanks so much for this website. I joke that it's folk medicine, but when the professionals are dismissive they leave us no choice but to try to get advice from real people on sites like this one.

Now I just need to figure out what to take to get rid of the two on my left side and adjust my diet to prevent them from happening again. I should add that I had been following the paleo diet for two months and from what I read in "No More Kidney Stones" I think this high-protein, fruit and vegetable (high oxalate) diet caused them.
