CFS and FMS and Chemical Sensitivity remedy

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)/Epstein Barr related bugs, and others can be reduced quite a bit by taking 1/4 tsp of Borax with one liter/quart of water (purified is best) per day. Sip it throughout the day. (I don't always drink the whole liter everyday but have fewer sensitivities, or can be exposed to fragrances and solvents for longer periods before getting sore throat, coughing, headaches, etc., resulting in sinus infections and flu/cold. If you have a healing crisis (Like flu or sinus infection, etc.) treat accordingly but don't stop the Borax. Maybe take less each day but don't stop, and build up to 1/4 tsp. For ladies, 1/8 tsp. Another simple addition that might help with Fibromyalgia (FMS) brain fog, if that's a problem, is extra virgin coconut oil, 1-3 or more tbs a day. (Great for Alzheimers to. More is better for that (Build up)). The Borax has been a Godsend for my Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), which is often co-morbid with CFS and/or FMS. Stay with it, these help. Perhaps I'll add I also take Fulvic Acid (excellent for unstacking blood cells). Fulvic Acid can cause a healing crisis. I also take 6 grams of Vit. C (not for CFS and FMS or MCS). I have searched for almost 40 years something to help, Borax and Coconut Oil have turned out to be the most effective for me, very powerful. I have been them consistently now for approx. 6 years. Recently started taking 200mg of Boron.

Also, about a year ago I started being treated by Dr. Michael Chance in Gainesville FL with his Hypothalamus Reset Technique. (HST) His treatments markedly improved my quality of life by 20%. Blessings all…

Hi John, I've been suffering with cholesteatoma / mastoid issue for the last 10 years (similarly to you I had limited help from operation (2! ), while they no doubt took away the cholesteatoma I was left with a lot of the same infection symptoms) - I tried the higher dose of Borax as per your recommendation but tended towards getting kidney pain from using it. It has just occurred to me that I might not have taken it slow enough via bottle but rather chucked it down too quickly and thereby overloaded my system. Regardless, I would much appreciate to hear how your health/mastoid situation is going now that 7-8 years have passed. Thanks for sharing what worked for you, if I proper rid of my infection then I will share on earthclinic as well!

Hi Tambia,

You may find the following information, regarding borax, of interest :

Borax / Boron (B/B) are well established on EC for their antiarthritic effects. I previously wrote about the anti osteoporotic effects of B/B here :

https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/osteoporosis-supplements-art-solbrig.html

The following very interesting and fast moving 4 minute video further describes the value of B/B for osteoporosis :

https://youtu.be/2m-dkc7rHrg?si=7xMkNPX8Y_G552jG

Note that they also mention the possibility that B/B may have added benefit to work against tooth decay. If their idea is correct, then people with arthritis and or osteoporosis should have more incidence of tooth decay. To add confirmation to that idea studies should show as much.

In the following two links, it is shown that people with arthritis do have significantly increased levels of tooth decay :

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9321492/#:~:text=The mean number of decayed, than that of the control.

Here is a relevant quote from the link :

' The mean number of decayed teeth (p=0.004) and missing teeth (p=0.026) in the rheumatoid arthritis patients were significantly higher than that of the control. '

In the following Johns Hopkins article it is further confirmed that people with rheumatoid arthritis are at increased risk for tooth decay as discussed here :

https://www.hopkinsarthritis.org/arthritis-news/5-dental-tips-for-the-ra-patient/#:~:text=A study conducted at the, people who have rheumatic diseases.

Here is a relevant quote from the article :

' A study conducted at the Johns Hopkins Arthritis Center found that gum disease and tooth loss are more prevalent in people who have rheumatoid arthritis (RA). '

To delve into the realm of tooth decay and osteoporosis, the following 2 links illustrate that tooth decay is increased in people with osteoporosis :

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5753495/#:~:text=It was found that those, composite score of ≥ 6.

Here is a relevant quote from the link above :

' It was found that those participants with osteoporosis had significantly higher number of tooth loss (5.4 ± 2.8) as compared to those with osteopenia (2.1 ± 2) and normal BMD (1.09 ± 1.2) (P < 0.01). '

The following link adds further confirmation to the idea that people with osteoporosis have increased risk for tooth decay :

https://www.todaysrdh.com/osteo-conditions-overview-and-oral-health-implications/

Here is a very relevant quote from this comprehensive article link above :

' In terms of oral health, osteopetrosis causes changes in the skull and jaw, leading to delayed tooth eruption, severe dental caries, micrognathia, mandibular prognathism, osteomyelitis of the jaw, dental anomalies, deciduous retention, malformation of teeth crowns, abscesses, and facial paralysis.1 '

So it seems pretty clear that there is a fairly direct correlation between arthritis and tooth decay as well as a correlation between osteoporosis and tooth decay. Although teeth, technically are not bones as mentioned here they do contain a lot of boron :

https://www.healthline.com/health/are-teeth-bones#:~:text=Teeth and bones look similar, in your bones and teeth.

Here is a relevant quote from the article :

' Teeth and bones look similar and share some commonalities, including being the hardest substances in your body. But teeth aren't actually bone.'

Although teeth aren't considered to be bone, they do contain a lot of boron as discussed here :

https://www.mdpi.com/2076-3417/14/3/1054#:~:text=Boron exists within the human, in moderate amounts [7].

Here is a relevant quote from the above link :

' Boron exists within the human body, with the greatest amount found in bones and teeth [6]. However, increasing the intake of boron changes the mineral composition of the teeth and shows beneficial effects on the alveolar bone in moderate amounts [7]. Boric acid can reduce alveolar bone loss [8]. Boron enhances the odontogenic and osteogenic differentiation processes in human dental germ stem cells, promoting the proliferation of human dental pulp stem cells. Moreover, it exerts a substantial influence on the growth and development of both bones and teeth [9]. '

To me, the above information suggests that B/B is likely to be very useful for all three health conditions which should also include osteopenia. I like it when a supplement is beneficial for more than one health condition!

Do you drink the whole liter of water with the 1/4 tsp. of Borax in one day? Or do you mix 1 tsp. of the mix and dilute it in another full glass of water?

EC: He's using Ted's protocol: 1/4 teaspoon borax in 1 liter of water daily, 5 days on, 2 days off.

Try lysine (500 mg twice a day) along with iodine (2000 micrograms to 12.5 mg) once a day. The pain should clear up in about 5 days. Then take both lysine and iodine for three weeks more .I think personally frozen shoulder (unless caused by an injury) is caused by a virus. The lysine/iodine combo should put the virus into remission. In my case I still had the "frozen" part of the shoulder still when the pain went away. I had to gently work the "frozen" shoulder out which took about 2-3 months.

People have been asking about the specifics of the protocol. However, the person who wrote this won't reply to these comments because his comment as noted above is: This comment is from Earth Clinic's Borax for Arthritis video page.

I followed the link to the video page, it took me to youtube, and also youtube have deemed this content as breaching guidlines.... incredibly sad isn't it, that borax has been demonised by big pharma and all others must comply.

EC: Yes, someone who doesn't like borax reported the video a couple of months ago even though it had been up for years, and they took it down.

Hi Leo. It doesn't matter when you take the Borax, with food or not. I take my 1Tsp by dipping my index finger into some Borax and then dunking it into my drinking water, then drinking away. The Brand does not matter, not at all. I have never had a problem with ingesting it with a meal either Y'dont have to overthink it, just make sure to get it into your body daily. It should be in the veggies you eat grown from our soil, but for some reason isn't nowadays.

Hi Michael,

Did you mix the teaspoon concentrate doses in water or did you just ingest the teaspoon concentrate undiluted?

When did you take the teaspoon doses in relation to meals?

Did you take it away from meals on empty stomach or poured it on food and or right after meals?

How much water you drank generally during the borax days?

Also, can you please post the link from where did you buy the borax powder, fortunately the borax you bought works... lots of borax powders do not work...

Thank you

EC: Sorry, Michael's post is from 2014 and he is unlikely to reply.

Hi Sunny,

First of all, Thank you for posting.

I recently watched a documentary by Dr. Jorge Flechas on Boron and Health.I was most impressed by natures elements (Boron) for providing a possible natural remedy for arthritis pain in my knees, shoulders, and mental clarity. After scouring the internet for a recommended internal supplement-product (preferably powder based so not inside a capsule-making it go directly into my system)with the different options/types I am now left uncertain of what brand and in what form to take. I have bought the 20 Mules Borax at the grocery store for years and used in my wash and as a cleaning agent; it cautions and warns on the label against taking it internally. Please confirm the the borax -boron you are taking internally is the 20 Mules Borax detergent from the grocery store- just taking in a small dosage of 1/8 tsp. in a liter of water? I am so happy that you have found some relief.

Thank you for sharing. Cheers to health

The following remedy not only fixed multiple symptoms after taking covid vaccine but also improved my appetite.

1) Morning:

  • Triphala Powder 100g + Borax 5 g (mix it together) -- 1/2 tsp.
(Borax is available in Ayurveda as Tankan Bhasma)

2) Afternoon:

  • Lithium Carbonate 300 mg (Lithium is an OTC medicine in India) -- 1 tab

3) Night: 10 drops each of following homeopathic drops.

  • Valeriana Officinalis Q drops (Q indicates Mother Tincture) -- 10 drops
  • Alphalpha Q drops -- 10 drops

I generally give a break of 1-2 days after taking borax for 2 weeks.

This helps purging the accumulation of borax to a harmful levels.

The above remedy has reportedly worked for cancer and several other body conditions.

Twenty Mule Team Borax - in any grocery store! It is called a washing soda in some stores- found in the laundry detergent aisle. Been taking on and off for hashimotos/arthritis/gout for yrs-my Rheumatologist agrees! Some on EC have suggested 5 days on and 2 days off.

EC: Washing Soda (sold by the brand Arm & Hammer) is sodium carbonate, which you can make yourself by baking sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) for 30 minutes, so people should carefully not buy washing soda thinking it is boron-containing borax. Here is a box of washing soda on Amazon.https://www.amazon.com/Arm-Hammer-Super-Washing-Soda/dp/B0029XNTEU/

May I ask you for the link from where you bought the borax you use?

I firmly believe that there are huge quality differences between borax products. The ones I tried/used did not work, the one you use is obviously genuine/real borax since it works for you and in such a short time as well.

In how much warm water did you dissolve the 1/8 teaspoon of borax approximatively?

Thank you very much

Editor's Choice

I'll start by saying I was skeptical about taking Borax-but after reading many of the posts here & on other sites-I decided to go for it. I figured worse comes to worse, I'd have an excellent cleaner!

Anyway-I was looking for something to help w/Hidradenitis Suppurativa-which is basically cysts in your armpits, sometimes in groin & under breasts. It's horribly painful & can be embarrassing-especially when they burst. Doctors have no idea what causes it either & is treated w/tetracycline-a strong antibiotic or biologics &/or incisions & draining them.

That doesn't cure it-they come back. And no one should be on tetracycline or biologics all the time!

I started taking 1/8 of a teaspoon dissolved in a bit of warm water right after breakfast.

I started it on Monday-today is Saturday & the cysts are all gone! I'm shocked it worked so quickly!

I'm also an insomniac-I have been since I was a kid-& w/in a couple days I was falling asleep easier & staying asleep! I've been able to go off a couple of OTC meds I was using to fall asleep also in just a couple of days!

I also have fibromyalgia & usually have a flair up a couple times a week-but not this week! I'm knocking on wood that I don't have any more of them-but even if the flare-ups are just lessened it would be great news for me.

FYI-I didn't really have any herxing & I'm hoping I don't-but regardless, I'd continue taking this amazing mineral.

Thank you, Ted, for spreading the news of this natural medicine! You've literally changed my life!

Magnesium, you gotta take magnesium with the borax. Glycinate is a good one I think. Much like how some will take a bath with borax and Epsom salt (magnesium) and along baking soda is good to add to the bath as well. A good general rule of thumb is that if stuff is feeling 'stiff' or 'backed up' or 'tight' or anything like that in any sense throughout the body, there's a good chance taking more magnesium will help 👍

Boron and antioxidants complex: a new concept for the treatment of kidney stones without rigorous pain:

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25110210/

Urolithiasis

Clinical data

One investigator has reported the use of boron supplementation in approximately 30 cases to facilitate dissolution and/or passing of urinary stones with minimal pain. Boron was supplemented at 10 mg/day with and without additional antioxidants for 2 to 60 days. Boron was well tolerated without observed side effects.(Naghii 2014, Naghii 2013, Naghii 2012) In the absence of a control group, it is difficult to attribute these results to boron.

Loretta,

I've been taking borax for well over a decade and have stopped for months, several times with no problems. Now I take it regularly to get all of the benefits that borax may offer. I did however, see a friend who discontinued borax at her doctor's request for well over a year and when she started taking it again, it no longer worked for her osteoarthritis.

That's wrong! 1 teaspoon is about 4 gram which is 4000 milligram. So, a third tsp is about 1400 mg and not 140... cheers

EC: David's calculation is more or less correct. The confusion is borax powder vs boron. Borax powder is about 11.3% boron, meaning a ¼ teaspoon contains approximately 113 mg of boron.

Therefore, 1/3 teaspoon of borax contains approximately 150.67 mg of boron.

Hi Dee,

How much borax do you take per day?

Do you dissolve the powder in hot water first and then drink or place the powder on tongue and wash it down?

When do you take your borax doses during the day, I.e. first thing in the morning and before sleep or at noon?

When do you take your doses in relation to meals, I.e. 30- 60 min before a meal and or 2- 3 hours after a meal on empty stomach or right after a meal or during a meal (like sprinkling it on the food)?

And could you please post the link from where did you get your borax? Not all borax products are the same... I tried some without success... your borax source obviously is genuine and works.

Hi just wanted to reach out and tell my story about using borax. I'm 36, am a stone mason by trade and used to power lift. I've been suffering chronic inflammation, extreme muscle soreness and extreme cramping to the point that I was tearing muscles. My last major tear was an abdominal muscle. Just for reference, I used to squat 551 bench 345 and deadlift 685 as a natural athlete. I had to completely stop all lifting and working far less hours due to these issues. By 7 pm I would start cramping and my joints would ache so bad I started using cannabis heavily to medicate so I would relax and be able to sleep. I've been to drs and specialists and have had all kinds of tests but everything has always been normal.

Found a video with a Phd talking about consuming borax and the dosages etc etc. To make it less complicated, I started out with a pinch 2x a day and worked my way up to 1/8 tsp, 2xD.

Within 3 days - spasming stopped. 5 days - joint pain and all muscle inflammation next to vanished. I have had the same length of goatee since I was 19. It grows to a certain length and falls out. At about week 3, my facial hair was growing more so than usual and by about week 5 it had doubled in length and I was having to shave far more often. I have had 3 bone spurs in the last decade. One in my right shoulder, my left heel, and recently my right heel. It was digging into my achilles and causing a lot of issues. I did some reading that talked about cal build up and on my search I found that video about taking borax. Also around the 5 week mark it is 90% heeled up. Full rom, 3/10 pain but only 1/10 constant.

Recently decided to stop drinking coffee and stop consuming cannabis. I stopped taking borax, and within a week my joints started to ache again and my nails are chipping and have all kinds of lines like they are going to split.

As I'm writing this I have hot water beside me ready to drink. Just wanted to reach out and share my story.

There are two methods of taking this 20 Mule Team Borax powder. One is to put one teaspoon of the powdered borax in a liter of water and then use this by putting a teaspoon of this water in a glass of water once or twice daily. The second way is according to Ted's advice which is for men to put 1/4 teaspoon of the 20 Mule Team Borax into a glass of water once daily and drink the whole glass. He also recommended for women to put 1/8 teaspoon of the Borax into a glass of water once daily. I have read where it's according to your weight and that some women can use the man's dosage.

For me, I am a little heavier at 200 lbs and a woman and what works for me is I started with the 1/8 tsp in water, it worked well for me, I started slowly for a week or so and I also read to take a magnesium capsule once daily to offset any symptoms as this borax seems to work hand in hand with the magnesium. I take one 500mg magnesium capsule in the morning with breakfast. This works for me. After doing well with the 1/8 of a tsp of the 20 mule team borax I upped the dosage to where I take this two times per day in a hot large cup of coffee.

I have taken this for a month now and it seems to be helping me with the stiffness in my shoulder joints which I could not raise above my shoulder level without pain before and can raise straight up now, much stronger with very little pain if any and I run my rototiller about once a week, have a large garden and work daily on two acres, keeping it mowed and taken care of. Plus I am almost 70 yrs old. This has also been helping to dissolve my kidney stones and has helped my IBS very much. Helped my partner's arthritis in his knees a lot also. So for me this works well.

Is it okay to put Borax in a gel capsule and swallow it? Instead of mixing it with water and drinking it ...

My fiancé and I both started taking 1 liter distilled water mixed with 1/4 tsp of Borax . We drink it over the course of 12 hours . I have done this for 5 days and took several days off and now I'm back on it. I FEEL GREAT! Much more alert, healthy bowel movements that seem to be dense and I feel crap leaving my body ~ literally ~ lol, optimistic energy and a up beat positive mood. The clarity of mind is what I'm really enjoying most.. I'm a fan. I also take Lugol's iodine a few drops a week and grey Celtic sea salt regularly. I was told the borax and grey Celtic sea salt help pull heavy metals out of the body. I avoid all gluten starch and sugar ~ so that is working for my wellness, and I use the iodine to also test a food if I'm unsure if it has starch in it. Toxemia is an excellent book to read - and that's all I'd like to add for right now. Thank you.

I've been taking a small amount of Borax on a regular basis since late 2012, after reading an article entitled "The Borax Conspiracy."

Within a week, the pain in my shoulder was gone.

My wife had a calcite spur in her foot. Very painful. I told her that the boron in the Borax would help her body regulate the calcium and the magnesium in her body and may make the spur go away.

It went away within a week.

Recently, my dentist checked my jaw bone to see if I had enough bone to install a dental implant (it's unusual for someone my age [65] to have enough bone to safely do an implant without extra preparation to the bone). He was surprised/shocked to find out that I have no bone loss at all. I told him it was because I "take boron supplements." (I didn't dare say that I take BORAX--he would have flipped! )

I put 1/4 teaspoon of Borax in a 2-liter bottle of water. Then I drink about 1/2 cup of Borax-water each day, for about 4 or 5 days per week.

The $5.60 box of Borax that I bought on 24-Dec-2012 is still mostly full. It will last until I am about 130 years old or more.

Joey, congrats! I'd like to start this regimen. Can you share exactly how much borax and magnesium you're taking each day and in what form? E.g., is it borax dissolved in water as per Earth Clinic video or another form? Thanks so much!!

Started using this mix for 2 doses. I dissolve everything in the flask first before pouring it into a large mixer bottle filled with clean filtered water or distilled.

I usually just put a few drops(2-4) of the nascent iodine into the mix. Amazing effects after first use. They are killing us with fluoride and it's in everything. Healing is absolutely possible.

This subject of boron and borax is very interesting. In regards to the lack of boron in foods you were asking about, I think it is due to not using our effluent in the soil and not burying the dead in the soil where we grow food. I have a friend who made a mix of his effluent (urine and stools), left it in the sun (covered) for 6 weeks then used it on his crops and miracles happened, that knocked everyone's socks off. We are missing out on all this and polluting our waters by dumping our effluent into the sea. We are supposed to be intelligent creatures but one would wonder sometimes. Cheers!

I had arthroscopic knee surgery in May 2020. Two months into recovery the entry area had not completely healed and a staph infection had formed. My surgeon, nor any other doctor caught this. I ended up at the emergency room and was diagnosed with cellulitis, which had spread to the other leg and had major swelling from both knees down to the tips of my toes. After three rounds of antibiotics, I had not responded and was getting worse. I then thought hospitalization would be necessary.

Then by chance, I watched a video on rumble, and Borax was mentioned as a therapy for overall health issues. I have been using 1/4 teaspoon in one liter of distilled water and drinking it throughout the day.

I'm on my 8th day and have been getting better more and more every day. The only side effect is a pressure headache behind my left eye, which is tolerable. Could this be due to the decalcification of my pineal gland? I have noticed my hair and skin looking better and my teeth are whitening as well. I'm a 57 year old male who is very positive for the future!

I have been taking Borax for almost 5 years now. As long as I take with 400mg magnesium at least 4 days a week I am pain free as far as arthritis. I am 55, and need not hormone replacement therapy.

Also bathing in Borax and Epsom Salts is amazing for skin. 3/4 cup of each. I fill bath with water filter shower head when bathing.

Hi Mandandi-

These remedies you are writing about, they are for lichen sclerosus? Or something else?

EC: Parasites.

Sounds really good.

I had similar results with 1/4 teaspoon of borax in 1 litre of water too. But I was way too infected with parasites so I did the following to really attack the pesky things:

1. Applied tiger balm daily to twice a day to my whole body for many months(close to a year I believe), mixed with 20 to 40 drops of oil of oregano, 20-40 drops of clove oil, 20-40 drops of tea tree oil and 2 tablespoon of olive oil.

2 make another mixture of the above oils added to 1/4 cup of black-seed oil to take orally with a teaspoon once or twice a day, NO Tiger balm and tea tree oil in this mixture please.

3. Took 1 teaspoon to 2 tablespoons of charcoal in water to absorb toxins in my body.

This is really important since the parasites release a whole lot of toxins the body cannot easily remove naturally.

4. Boiled and took a mixture of parasite killing herbs like cloves, wormwood, golden seal root powder and walnut leaves.

Do this until your tongue turns pink, if your systemic infection was really bad. This might take months to years. Don't give up. Additionally, drink green vegetable juices at least once a day.
