I went to the health food store bought some empty capsules seperated and filled with 8 drops Hydrogen peroxide replaced cap and started to take the pills went from 8 drops to 15 on a empty stomach, I was prehypertensive in 150 over 85. I am 51 years old after taking for week my Blood pressure dropped been taking for several weeks now my Blood pressure is 117 to 120 over 74 this is no lie I also have arthritis no more pain this totally works for me at first I was nervous thought it would upset my stomach no problems. But it is wise to use probiotics as well :-) I appears to work on psoriasis to!

Yes chanting works, it is very powerful if repeated constantly as you go about your day.. Try 'thank you for my healing' it is like prayer x

Listening is very calming although I never actually checked to see if just listening would have the same effect on lowering blood pressure. I'll have to test that out! Vocalising the chant is the best way to feel the full effect of the vibrational change. It's analogous to tuning in to a radio frequency, or plugging in to a source of electricity: someone else can tune in to their own radio station or turn on their own lightswitch and you can overhear the music or observe the light but it's not quite the same as activating it yourself.

Hi Xia and Timh, I have spent much time chanting although not so much these days. My guru was Baba Muktananda and I loved chanting! It is part of the Siddha tradition and the chants were in sanskrit. My response regarding chanting is to actively participate and you will feel the vibration lift you within. I know that just listening to chants or playing them also raises the vibrational field but how you feel when you actually participate is so uplifting at least in my experience. I would encourage you to try that Timh and see if you feel your vibration change. Best to you always, Lisa

Xia, I have been listening to some harmonics and occasional chants on YouTube. Question: does one need only "listen" to the chants or must also actively vocalize the chants ?

My dad (a scientist/atheist) had extremely high blood pressure that was not being controlled with prescription meds (even though he was taking 3 different kinds of blood pressure meds! )

I read on webMD that meditation with a mantra helps reduce blood pressure. I asked my dad to do an experiment. First, to take his blood pressure. He did. It was 179/76. Then I asked him to chant "Nam-myoho-renge-kyo" with me for 15 minutes (it is a Buddhist chant that means "dedication to the mystical/inexplicable Law of Cause and Effect through sound/vibration"). He only chanted for 7 minutes and then wanted to take his blood pressure again, immediately. He did, and his blood pressure was 105/67.

We tried this experiment every day for a week. Every time, it worked to lower his blood pressure.

Chanting definitely reduces blood pressure. I have also used chanting to relieve anxiety, reduce depression and to access the subconscious mind. Try it and see!!! It's free and it works.

Coconut Oil

I was having uncomfortable time during past 7 days when my BP rose to 140 /90 from my 'normal' 130/80. It was quite a sudden thing and that leaves me clueless - hmm what was wrong?

So since then I tried water, garlic and ACV/BS without significant result while keep reading EC for more things to try out. I came across virgin coconut oil VCO so I did take it just 1tsp last night. 2 hrs later I was seeing the readings were on the way down. Early this morning I had another 1 tsp. Well, I did take coconut water drink too as the same time. So I'm not sure who did the work or was it both?

To my total surprise when I checked the BP this morning it was 120/80, a number I was striving to achieve for a very long time.

Let see how long it will last - I pray for the best.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Baking Soda
Posted by Jon (Othello, Wa, USA) on 05/20/2012

Steve, when you combine an acid with enough base to neutralize the acid what is obtained is the conjugate base. This is the basis behind alkalization of the body by using things like citrus fruits and vinegar. In the body the pancreas secretes bicarbonate to neutralize acid, whether it's stomach acid (HCl), vinegar, citric acid, or any other acid.

In the case of vinegar it's acetic acid bicarbonate = acetate (the conjugate base)

In the case of citrus fruit it's citric acid bicarbonate = citrate (the conjugate base)

If baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) is used then then the result is sodium acetate and sodium citrate.

So supplementing with either the conjugate base or the original acid should offer similar benefits.

When the conjugate bases are in the blood they will absorb hydrogen ions (one of the definitions of an acid) recreating the original acid. As far as acidity is concerned this is a much weaker acid than the original free hydrogen ions thereby "alkalizing" the body. The body generally uses bicarbonate/carbonic acid for this buffering system, creating carbon dioxide and water as end results. The carbon dioxide is then exhaled to maintain a proper pH. Supplementing with citric acid or vinegar, or the conjugate bases of them, helps this process in maintaining things.

As far as sodium is concerned, several recent metastudies have been released that show conclusively that low sodium diets offer no benefit to otherwise healthy individuals. What was shown was an increase in stress/inflammation factors. Cholestrol, triglycerides, adrenalin, and noradrenaline were all elevated in low sodium diets. The only benefit was an extremely marginal blood pressure drop of 1% or around a 1/2 point drop. However, it should be noted that those who are already hypertensive did experience a slightly greater drop of 3. 5% or around 4-7 points depending on what the blood pressure was to start with. On the other, hand salt really isn't the culprit in hypertension. Instead the culprit is a horrible diet of transfats, low vitamin and mineral intake, overcooked/fried food, sugar, no vegetables, no omega 3 fats, etc...

You know you have to much salt in your food when your food tastes too salty-Joel Wallach DVM, ND

Do not mix any vinegar with baking soda!

Vinegar is an acid, and baking soda is a base. When you combine acids with bases, they neutralize each other, resulting in two major items which are neither acidic nor basic: water and sodium.

So, by mixing vinegar with baking soda, you're changing the therapy from a beneficial vinegar to a harmful sodium!

He may have fructose intolerence, apple cider vinegar will make it so much worse. Look up fructose malabsorbtion, this will cause high bp due to sending the endocrine system into overdrive trying to compensate (by lowering or raising hormone levels to attack the invader - it is no different than a food allergy) It can present at any time in life. 30 percent of the population has it, but only ten percent are symptomatic. Go LOW FODMAP; FODMAPS are an acryonm recent discovery, it breaks down food types by the sugars they convert into upon consumption; Avoid apples, pears, F is for frutans, not saying avoid all fruit, Vegetables that contain high fructose are onions, garlic, asparagus, cabbages, etc... Just those with more fructose than glucose; Some beans, like baked beans, chick peas, kidney beans, high galactans; Reduce lactose; use real butter only, lactose free ; milk; and hard cheeses only, no yogurt or soft cheeses; Avoid ALL FAT FREE AND REDUCED SUGAR AND SUGAR FREE; as these products are made from pure fructose and do convert once consumed; will deal me great issue; White sugar is best; real sugar is best; avoid all colored drinks and foods and processed foods will have garlic, onlions, MSG, INULIN... oh the list goes on; avoid them all, stick to short ingredient foods prepared at home! Hope this helps.

Earthing

Worked Temporarily

I have high blood pressure also. For over 10 years, I no longer eat fast foods, very little process foods, no cheese, no ice cream, no red meat, and no pork. I even stop eating out in restaurants. My bp will still read 140 / 88, sometimes 127 / 82 most of the time. I take garlic, Niacin, and Magneisium pills, and I still have to struggle to get down to the standard 120 / 80. I'm skinny, 5'6" 141 lbs Female. So losing weight is not an option. I exercised at the gym for over 8 months, it came down a little, but never made a big difference. I drink at least 40 ozs of water, sometime more, and sometimes less. It gets very frustrating. After awhile, you're doing so much of taking this and taking that, you fill like you're about to go crazy!

I have tried Alkaline water, Apple Cider Vinegar, Hydrogen Peroxide, earthing. Oops, forgot to mention something. Whenever I cut or rake the grass for 2 or more hours, my blood pressure drops down to 111/ 68. Then 6 hours later, it starts going back up. Hmmm, I stopped earthing because I've been taking care of this 96 year old lady. If you guys can hit me back with so other alternatives, I really appreciate it. My last day of Caregiving is late May. I will reply back by the end of the Summer, maybe sooner! I'm going to try earthing for a month or two, and see how it works out. After all, Earthing is FREE, and you're pulling electrons up into your body from the ground. It's very interesting. Did you know a Free Radical is missing an Electron? Stand on the Earth barefoot, and absorb all the Electrons you want. Electrons will stabilize the Free Radicals. Earthing is like getting FREE Antioxidants! - Gotta Go, will keep in touch.

Fig Leaf Tea

Fig leaf tea normalizes blood sugar level, lowers high blood pressure and keeps the arteries clean.

Two teaspoons of dried fig leaves in one cup of boiling water (steeped for 20 minutes) and drank each morning will normalize the blood sugar in a matter of days.

Dried fig leaves are not easy to find in the US, but Lloyd Kretizer at www.landofenfigment.com sells them for $5 a (quart) bag which will last about two months of drinking a cup of tea at breakfast each day. (That's all that's needed.)

I too have high blood pressure and am trying this diet. I found buying a large leaf and skinning it and putting it into a frozen berry smoothie makes it taste great. Your favorite berries, blueberry, strawberry or rasberry. Add bananna etc. I am awaiting any lower bp but it tastes great. It does blow the empty stomach aspect though. The hibiscus tea also tastes fairly tolerable straight-up. I am doing both with Magnesium and am checking if it is taurate or not.

Your body needs salt. You mean "no refined table salt". You need unrefined sea salt. Unrefined sea salt is a gray like colour and you can only buy it from health food stores. Unrefined sea salt will not raise blood pressure. You have to make the distinction between refined and unrefined because telling someone to cut out all salt is very dangerous. Our bodies need salt (unrefined).

Also processed foods contain huge amount of refined salt.. Cut out processed foods out of your diet.. read the labels how much sodium is in these foods (and I use the term food loosely here).

First, I do not need the money, you can donate it to local SPCA or humane society. Next, this is what you do to lower and maintain blood pressure, Eliminate salt, absolutely zero salt diet. Make a tea as follows organic Hibiscus (quater cup), Green Tea (2 tbsp), organic Hawthorne Berries (quater cup), in a tea pot using boiling hot water (filtered). Let it steep for 20 mins, then drink it. You should be able to make approx. 6 cups of tea. Finally, go for a walk for about 30 to 45 mins every day. by the end of second week, you will see normal BP. I did that and mine is 106/72 and it used to be 180/120 and sometimes even higher. Remember, NO SALT.

Hi Hil -I also tried the ACV for over a month quite a while back and it did not help.

What might be of assistance to you would be magnesium oil and also salt loading.

Please go to a search engine to find the info for the salt loading protocol. It is powerful and effective , when following the directions, and always using pure sea salt or celtic salt. The combination of using the magnesium oil and sea salt protocol calms my heart profoundly without fail.

It also helps to walk 1-2 miles each day and to feel appreciation of one's life and connection to the earth and source energy whenever possible.

Our thoughts create our reality on so many levels....

Wishing you the best....

You can simply follow my guide Hil.

First, stop eating processed food. Limit table salt, stop smoking, limit sugar, exercise every day, learn about breathing technique, no more red meats, add more vegetables and fruits in your menu. Second, juicing is the best way to reduce your HBP dramatically as I experienced after being HBP for more than 10 years and now I'm back to normal. What I did is juicing fruits and veges. Mix them together.

Drink 1-3 times a day (a cup) of freshly pressed fruits vegetable juices. Choose vegetable that you can tolerate. Each cup of juice may contain one, two ore few of the following

- Carrots
- beets
- melons
- daikon
- radishes
- FRESH celery (root and greens),
- wheat grass, barley grass, dinkel grass
- parsley (root and greens)
- dark green vegetables
- kale
- cucumber
- apples
- Grapefruits
- Cabbages
- Lettuce
- Root Turnip and Leafy Turnip
- Oranges

You can test the following combinations or create your own:

Carrots, parsley and celery
Carrots, cucumber and celery
Carrots, spinach and kale
Carrots, apples
Carrots, Cabbages
Oranges, carrots, lettuce
Carrots, wheat grass and kale
carrots with any green veges
green veges with oranges.

I also love steamed vege (brocolli, carrots, cauliflower plus any green leaves) as my lunch and followed by fresh juices. Not only lowered my BP but also energizing me too and my skin looks clear than ever. I hope this helping you. By the way I need the $500 to buy my new juicer and more fruits and veges.

Hil, have you had hair mineral test for metal toxicity??? I have very high Manganese plus abnormally high Arsenic plus a fungal and bacterial infection that often accompanies heavy metal toxicity. My BP has been fluctuating and is today at 186/118, is yours this high or higher???

Kidney malfunction is common hpb indicator. Have you advanced hardening of arteries, this could elevate.

Celery is supposed to be good for lowering hbp, also the amino acid L-Arginine is prescribed.

Here is my 2 cents: Hawthorne in capsule form. Valerian also in capsule form.

There is a lot of talk on the internet about the miracle effect of placing a bar of ivory soap between the sheets at night. This would help balance the electrolytes while you are sleeping. What I do is place each bar of soap just behind each of my knee caps and all the sudden I go from hyper to complete relaxation mode in less than 10 seconds. You can experiment by placing the soap bars on various locations of your body but should target the most stressed areas of your body. First do some reading on the internet about all those who were shocked because it worked so well for them. This has been very effective for me for as long I can remember since I to have always had high blood pressure problems because of work related pressure. Above all, high blood pressure will always be aggravating to you if you don't improve your work habits.

But really there must be a reason why you have high blood pressure that should be addressed as well. I should think that anything that thins the blood like aspirin for example would help to lower your blood pressure too. Reiki lowers blood pressure too if you are interested, it always sends me to sleep! Just some ideas for you.

"Using natural product screening, chemists have discovered the only natural blockbuster diabetes drug. It successfully lowers blood sugar, triglycerides and A1C levels while increasing insulin sensitivity -- and without a single negative side effect.... This drug is commonly known as cinnamon! " From a book written by a former chemist for big pharma, Shane Ellison.

So yes, you are correct. But cinnamon alone may not be enough for somefolks. It all depends on how insulin resistant they have become. And as far lowering blood pressure, that may depend on how related their individual cause for high blood pressure is linked with insulin resistance.

Buteyko

5 out of 5 stars

Approaching the HBP problem from a seemingly different angle, if you search "Buteyko" you will find the work of a Russian who concluded that the issue is caused by excess oxygen taken in by excessive and erratic breathing, which oxygen then becomes free radicals, highly destructive.

The body creates HBP to stop it from burning up from excess oxygen. Compare it to a deep sea diver who has to carefully monitor his intake of CO2 and oxygen. Similarly do we. there is much reading and practices one can do to heal HBP thru correct breathing- not "deep breathing".

I understand that ACV works because the hydrogen protons in it [ pH is best understood as "hydrogen potential power for the number of protons available for dealign with oxygen] .

So increase your hydrogen to counter oxygen, and/or reduce your breathing to where it ought to be, and the need for the body to manifest HBP and many other conditions will vanish.

Manage your breathing and it will drop 40 points quickly.

As a truck driver, I have to keep my blood pressure below 140/90. to get my 2 year med card. My last physical I was way high 180/110. Had to take some time off. Went to doctor got on blood prs pills 20 mg of lisinopril plus a water pill hctz 12.5mg. This worked, and got it down to about 136/86. but he would only give me the pills for three months. The story is longer, but I'll end it here.

Have got it down to 122/76 using apple cid vin. and aloe vera drink. Hibiscus tea. Garlic. Cayenne pepper. My son is in the med field and when he took my blood prs, he wanted to take it again becuse he could not believe I got it down that low without the meds. I drink the aloe vera out of the one gallon jug I got from walgreens. The apple cid vin, I pour into some apple drink. Neither of these tastes good, but if you can get it down its worked for me. Good luck. I will be donating to this site, beats paying the rip off doctor.

I believe the better form of CoQ10 is Ubiquinol, especially as one ages. Ubiquinone is the one you don't want.

Magnesium
Posted by Timh (Louisville, Ky, Usa) on 01/27/2012 2073 posts

Christine, to strengthen the heart, make sure you add Selenium and Vit-E to the CoQ10 as they work best together; and it's also recommended to swap the CoQ10 for the better form ---Ubiquinone, especially as one ages. *A note on Selenium, England is notorious for high Sel soil levels which have threatened cattle & sheep herds, and hastened tooth decay in humans, so I would take less than the recommended dose.

As for herbs, look for an herbal combination which contains as many of the fallowing as possible: Hawthorn, Cayenne, Ginger, Garlic, Ginko Biloba.

A dash of Sea Salt in 1/4-1/2 cup water 2 daily is good for HBP.

Hope this helps and good luck.

My husband has high cholesterol and has been on Bezafibrate for about eighteen years. He could not tolerate statins. He had sleep problems for a number of years. We decided to come off the tablets and he has slept very well since.

His blood pressure has now gone up to around 150/94. His heart reate is irregular and very slow ranging from 38 to 50 beats a min. I know statins and fibarates deplete q10. I have given him supplements. Also Garlic, fish oils, Licethin and natural sterol supplements. I am not so concerned about cholesterol. However I am concerned about Blood pressure and low irregular heart rate. I am afraid of heart failure. Does anyone know whether magnesiun could help? I know some use it for rapid heart problems. Also would hawthorn help? I do not want to make things worse for him. Any suggestion much welcome.

You can buy Hibiscus seeds on line from EBay.... They would take time to grow though, but you would have plants of your own. You can also buy Hibiscus dried flowers and other items on EBay.

Aldi stores do 99.9% Aloe Vera juice if you cannot get your own leaves to do it. Health stores sell it too, but its more expensive.

I make Hibiscus tea with lemon juice and honey added to the petals with boiling water... It's lovely!

Bananas

Blood Pressure is a bit high? EAT BANANAS!

I just have to share this because it has worked for me and I am utterly amazed. I started having trouble with my blood pressure a couple months ago and I needed to bring it down. I started taking a super dose of D3, 5-htp to combat the associated anxiety, and Aspirin daily to help thin the blood.

It *helped* but I was still feeling bad often.

I started doing some research and found that potassium had been shown to significantly decrease the blood pressure issues so I decided to grab a bunch of bananas and give it a try. I've been eating one banana a day for over a week and my blood pressure has been so much better! I had been feeling like the veins in my arms were on FIRE some of the times, my emotions were hard to control etc. After eating a banana a day for only a couple days, those feelings diminished until I can barely tell I have a problem anymore. It has REALLY helped how I feel.

So definitely eat some bananas and give it a try if you have problems with your blood pressure! If you hate bananas, any source of potassium will do. Raisins, some canned tomato products... Etc. Just Google "Good Sourse of Potassium" for more info on what to eat. Good luck!
