Apple Cider Vinegar and Baking Soda
Posted by Yaa (Manassas, Virginia) on 03/14/2009

Well after reading your comments I decided to try this. I visited the doctor about a week ago and was surprised that my reading was 167/80. I was floored. I know that I need to exercise, but I don't use heavy sodium. I am 47 (birthday tomorrow) and I would like to see 48. I went to the GNC and got the ACV with Mother and made the drink with 2tlbs of cider, 1/4 tsp of baking soda and 8 oz of water. Did not taste that bad. I did take my pressure prior to drinking it was 127/79. I think the spike previously was I took Sudafed for a headache. But still high. I will be tracking the results for the next two weeks and see what happens. Also I have made myself a promise to start some kind of exercise program. Wish me luck. Thanks for the site.

Alena, a simple D&C should not have caused bleeding to the point of anemia, and if you were anemic before surgery, it should have been corrected before doing it. Did the doctor mention any complications during the D&C? You might want to ask for a copy of the surgical report, to see if you can learn why you are anemic.

Apple Cider Vinegar, Molasses
Posted by Saoirse (Tx) on 06/24/2017

I'm gonna TRY the ACV and molasses brew hoping that somehow the molasses was the missing link for me.

NOW I have absolutely nothing against the ACV w/mother of course, nothing against garlic and cayenne, the red hibiscus, BUT in my case-no effect and I remain disappointed-- donating unit of blood every 2 months still HAS NOT brought it down.

The concoctions of garlic cayenne etc work wonders for bronchitis, psoraisis, aching and paining--like a cure all.

4 years ago at aged 60 I went off the charts hypertensive with readings commonly upwards from 190/140 on and on--years ago I would have been hospitalized-today, they simply try this and try that-and it still runs high.

I am not overweight BUT DO have a thyroid problem for more than 20 years hypO, and am still trying to work that one out and not be pharma dependent--lugols etc have not corrected this and I do blame the hypothyroid for the present mess.
Alena? I do hope you're doing better and get back.

I will in 6 weeks.

HI There, When you take the acv with 8 oz of water, does it matter whether or not it's gulped down to get it over with or is it necessary to take your time?

No, the speed at which you consume the Apple Cider Vinegar is irrelevant. You may also wish to add a spoonful of honey or turbinado sugar (the stuff that still has the molasses in it) to sweeten it. Remember too that if your palette is accustomed to sweet things, eating or drinking foods that are devoid of that taste can be even worse.

How do you balance the acid/alkaline in your body when you're taking apple cider vinegar? I read in a very respected nutritional healing book that too much acv can cause acidosis. I really want to get off the meds for my hb.

This post is to Bill. Thank you for your excellent explanation of this alkalizing method. I have several questions for you. Firstly, when you were treating your systemic yeast infection you used molasses. How could that have worked considering you would be feeding them? Did it not make you retain water and gain weight?

Secondly, you used an alkalizing formula 3X per day did you not retain water from all the sodium in the baking soda? Also would you not experience some sort of electrolyte imbalance with all that (non sea salt) type of sodium?

I have so many of the same problems and have been fighting for my health for about 14 yrs now. Getting a bit discouraged. would like to try exactly what you did. It really sounds like Dr. Tulio Simoncini's baking soda cure for cancer. He believes cancer is fungus and he floods the area with glucose? (anyway some type of sugar)maybe it works because they feed, and they relax then he blasts the area with a very strong dose of baking soda. Any of your comments would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Mary

Hi Bill: One more question. Why do you think so many jpoeple report weight loss here on earth clinic, with the use of ACV and water? they do not include baking soda? And one post said it (ACV and BS) made her retain water?

Thanks, Mary

Austrian Apple Juice

1st time poster. Hello. 53, male, never drank, stopped smoking at age 30. Don't eat much potato chips or fast food at all etc. Thought I live and eat very healthy. Moved from South Africa to Canada a year ago. Am not a BIG exerciser but can do 30 sit up no problem. But sit a lot in front of the PC etc. Eat mostly Chinese or Fusion food 1m89 tall 92KG and here I am stuck with "HIGH BLOOD Pressure" dizziness very tired mornings. Need Melantonin to fall a sleep, otherwise can stay awake till wee hours. Can't give any personal feed back yet. Will start ACV now. But my grandfather in Austria used to drink one liter of natural Apple juice every day, for every second month (not the clear one). It looked like frosted in the glass bottle. He bought it from what they call in German the "Reform Haus" sort of Health shop 30 years ago. to keep his high blood pressure under control. Maybe someone has tried this I guess that is why the ACV is good for us also.

I am obese not from overeating, but due to stressors that I did not handle well and that caused a major stroke a year ago. Since then, I have made a major change in my diet even though I had eaten very well before without white flours, sugars and the other problem foods for many years. Now I am eating raw vegan foods and have not only finally dropped almot 40 pounds but my blood sugar levels are down to the mid-90s. I credit eating a raw food lifestyle with all this! My thyroid numbers are also in the more normal range! Lots of good changes that I believe eating a raw food lifestyle made happen.

My husband has had high blood pressure for years. we have tried low salt diet, no caffiene, minerals, hawthorn, as well as other herbs. We were able to lower it to borderline but never normal until we tried Olive Leaf with 20% oleuropein. His pressure stablized within 24 hours. He takes 1 pill 2x daily. He went from 130/94 to 119/74 and has maintained it for 1 month and a half. No side effects as of yet.

how often do u eat the dark chocolate? Is it only when your blood pressure is high or is it a everyday thing until it becomes normal?

Dark Chocolate

That is a first, I thought it would run it up, so if hershey kisses does the trick, what about hershey's chocolate bars, those i really love. how much should be ingested each day, if it's the bars instead of the kisses.will check back later.

EC: Typically the higher the percentage of cocoa in a chocolate bar, the better. You can find cocoa bars with 99% cocoa now - very strong and bitter!

Hershey's is not going to cut it- not even close. There's so much junk in that stuff. Look up info on raw chocolate- you can google it and learn a lot of wonderful info on it and it can do wonders. It is considered one of the superfoods of the planet. Hence, why the Aztecs revered it for its power. It is available in Whole Foods if you have one near you or you can mail order it online from lots of the raw food sites. I have been using it now for about 2 weeks after being interested in this world ever since starting the mini beet protocol over a month ago.

Chocolate "works" on BP through beta-blocker mechanism. Literature says dark chocolate works better because it's more concentrated, but also because milk proteins block the effect, so do not wash down dark chocolate with milk! About 1-2 ounces of 85% or 90% chocolate works for me, but that is a lot of chocolate. I get some mild effects with milk chocolate when I eat it simply because I like it!

Have you tried Apple Cider Vinegar? That seems to really help in a lot of cases. Also, a side note - did you receive a flu vaccination prior to your polymyalgia? There is some correlation between the two. It appears as though flu vaccines can set it off.

Cinnamon
Posted by Nevadasmith (Smithfield, Pa) on 03/20/2012

"Using natural product screening, chemists have discovered the only natural blockbuster diabetes drug. It successfully lowers blood sugar, triglycerides and A1C levels while increasing insulin sensitivity -- and without a single negative side effect.... This drug is commonly known as cinnamon! " From a book written by a former chemist for big pharma, Shane Ellison.

So yes, you are correct. But cinnamon alone may not be enough for somefolks. It all depends on how insulin resistant they have become. And as far lowering blood pressure, that may depend on how related their individual cause for high blood pressure is linked with insulin resistance.

Dried corn silk (One tablespoon). One tea bag of green tea. 2 cups of bottled water. Bring water to a boil then remove from burner. Add teas cover with lid and allow to brew off of burner for 5 minutes. Strain with strainer into cup add honey to taste. This combination of tea relaxes, acts as a natural diuretic, and lowers the blood pressure. Dried corn silk tea can be found in health food stores and in the groc. stores that cater more to the Hispanic community. It is also called "Barbas de helote" meaning; beard of corn in Spanish. The fragrance of lavender relaxes and soothes. Drink a cup in the morning or whenever you feel nervous.

Passion Fruit Juice
Posted by Sanjita (Wigan, Lancs, United Kingdom) on 02/21/2009

To Vicki: I have just learnt from you that Passion Fruit Juice lowers blood pressure. I was also introduced to this juice by friends from Kenya. It is available by the glassful in restaurants of Kenyan origin. Yet whenever I try to purchase the fruit and squeeze the juice, it yields very little juice. I live in a place where we dont get Passion Fruit Juice in restaurants as it is only available in the London restaurants. Do you know how the restaurants manage to get such large quantities of Passion Fruit Juice. How do you get your juice, as the one from cartons/tins is not the same as the fresh variety that we get served in restaurants.

Thanks. Sanjita

The more C-V intensive exercise you get, the lower your blood pressure goes (down to some theoretical limit). At one time, when I was doing construction labor, the Red Cross wouldn't take my blood donation because my diastolic BP was too low to measure.

Foods That Help

Besides eating fish, it is also helpful if your diet includes large amounts of fruits and vegetables high in potassium and magnesium as they help the body to get rid of excess sodium. When the diet lacks these minerals, supplementation may improve blood pressure control. Foods rich in magnesium include nuts, rice, bananas, potatoes, wheat germ, kidney and lima beans, soy, and molasses. Foods rich in potassium include avocados, bananas, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, grapefruit, nectarines, oranges, asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, green peas, potatoes, and squash. Apple Cider Vinegar (our favorite!) also contains potassium and magnesium.

For more information about potassium, please read our potassium fact sheet.

You can also visit http://www.unhinderedliving.com/potassium.html for more information on potassium.

Garlic appears to lower blood pressure by 5% to 10%. It can also lower cholesterol, reduce triglyceride levels, discourage clot formation, and promote blood circulation. A typical dose of garlic is 900 mg of garlic powder per day. This dosage is also recommended for lowering high cholesterol.

Fruits like apples and pears are also said to decrease blood pressure by lowering cholesterol due to their high fiber content.

Exercise
Posted by Susan (USA)
★★★★★

Exercising regularly for 30 minutes a day can also lower your blood pressure as it stimulates a substance in our bodies called nitric oxide. Nitric oxide helps to keep our blood vessels open. During the early stages of arteriosclerosis (or plaque build-up), one of the first things to be seen is a reduction in the amount of nitric oxide in the blood vessels. When you exercise, the accelerated pumping of the heart forces more blood to flow through the vessels. As this blood pushes its way along the lining of the vessels, more nitric oxide is released.

Exercise
Posted by Marie (Batavia, Ny) on 04/02/2016

The amino acid L Argine yes does lower blood pressure because it has nitric oxide in it. I tried it for 4 months - drank 6 gr a day in divided doses. It didn't do nuthin for me. I just recently quit. But it may work for someone else. I am older, so may take time to clear out my arteries. I am now trying Apple Cider Vinegar and vit k 2 to clean out the arteries.
