Peanut Oil for Arthritis and RA

My Grandmother, who lived to 92 years old, swore that the reason she didn't have arthritic problems was due to peanut oil massage. Most of these old time methods of healing are much better than our modern day medications and have no dangerous side effects. The pharmaceutical companies will never admit this however as there is no profit to be made.

Peanut Oil in the Cayce Readings. The primary use of peanut oil in the Cayce readings was as a massage oil ingredient. It was described as a "food for the nerves AND muscular forces" and a specific preventive measure against arthritis.

- Use peanut with olive oil (I add castor oil also) as a massage oil and rub into the affected area daily, the excess oil can be wiped off with a tissue before dressing. Edgar Cayce readings included oil of peanut blended with olive and pine oil for treatment of arthritis.

George Washington Carver (GWC) Rubbing Oil was created between the years of 1900 and 1910 by Dr. George Washington Carver, the famous agricultural scientist who invented over 300 products from peanuts. Yes, the same man that invented peanut butter. GWC Peanut Rubbing Oil is known for maximum penetration to relieve stiffness in joints, joint-friction from bones rubbing together, tight and sore muscles, and restricted range of movement. The main ingredient is peanut oil.

Ringmaster Pain Relief Rubbing Oil invented around 1950 Pain Relief formula contains 60% peanut oil.

Gentle exercise for arthritis relief

Great tips. This would apply to #10, Exercise. Tai Chi is one the best low-impact, moderate exercises you can do for all of the body's systems, including the immune system and reducing the inflammatory response. I have found that the eastern arts such as Tai Chi and Qigong provide a simple and quick way to maintain my health and energy levels as well as keeping me fit.

Relation of Nightshades to Arthritis:

I have tried this 'cure' with good results. It is hard to remove all nightshades but you notice when you have had some the next day (pain). Remove all foods of the nightshade family for six weeks and you will know! There is a link with vitamin d3 (sunlight) and consuming nightshades. Resource: http://noarthritis.com/research.htm

Hi Rob,

Trigger finger and arthritis appear to be a boron deficiency most of the time. Please read the feedback on our borax page under the table of contents entry "arthritis" and "borax: on the trigger finger page.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen Peroxide of Arthritis:

Walter Grotz, one of the pioneers in oral peroxide therapy, has a keen and inquisitive mind. Although he is an ex-bureaucrat himself (retired postmaster), he understands and dislikes bureaucracy like most of the rest of us. And Mr. Grotz understands something else that many don't understand. All of the bureaucracy and self-serving bureaucrats are not in the government. Take the American Cancer Society, for instance. Grotz took hydrogen peroxide by mouth, and in 16 days his arthritis had improved dramatically. He called the American Cancer Society and asked their opinion of hydrogen peroxide therapy. The representative who answered the phone said it was quackery."You mean a therapy that costs a lot of money and doesn't do any good?" he asked. "Yes, " she replied, "that's the best explanation I have heard. It costs a lot of money and doesn't do any good."His treatment cost less than six dollars.

I have found that frankincense oil works wonders for arthritis. I use it on my hands, my husband uses it on his knees and on his shoulder. Not only does it help bring down swelling but actually helps pain. Brings tremendous relief. It is amazing.

I experience a lot of pain in one of my hips...I have a femoroacetabular impingement, and associated bursitis and arthritis. It was becoming a major problem, and I was finding it painful to put any weight on the hip. I'm in my mid 30's. I've started swimming again and even though initially it made it worse, the effect after just a few weeks of regular freestyle has made all the difference. no pain, increased movement and range in the hip and most importantly, stronger gluteal muscles to support the area, as that's my best hope (surgery is not an option). Everyone, get moving!

If you've been boron deficient for a long time, your body may be using the boron to fix something more vital. Which actually makes the teeth sensitivity aspect extremely interesting as it suggests sensitivity in the teeth may be connected to something more serious than arthritis.

Your body knows what it's doing. When it gets something it's been lacking, it doesn't care what you want it to do with it. It's going to apply it where it's needed most, first. Give it some time to get more serious issues under control. Don't try to force it.

"I drank four gallons over about a month's time, and nothing. So disappointed." SMH

People need to realize, to be healthy you need to be drinking at least a gallon of pure clean water per DAY! That's 4 liters a day for you Canucks out there... More if you drink coffee or on water pills... I suggest people to not take any pharmaceutical medication because they are ALL poisons.

Pure clean water = distilled water.

I have been drinking distilled water for 6 -7 years now. It is the cleanest water there is. AND no, distilled water does NOT leech essential minerals from the body. They do however remove any non organic matter that doesn't belong in our bodies. Including heavy metals.

Acv and baking soda and chicken cartilage for arthritis

Hi, I suffer from chronic arthritis in my knees, elbows, wrists lower back and all my other joints. I have been using Apple Cider Vinegar and baking soda for 3 weeks and chicken cartilage in orange juice for 12days with absolutely no change in my condition. I am extremely disillusioned as I suffer excruciating pains in my knees, elbows and back. Where are all the people who spoke about these miracle treatments? The pains did not even recede. Are these scams or what. I was on methotrexate for4 weeks, took myself off as it made me Ill. Then I was rushed to hospital for a blood transfusion as it stripped all my blood. I was put onto cortisone which removed a lot of my pain but after weaning myself off after 7weeks the pains were back in full force. I am passionate about alternative medicine and was determined to try something natural. Hence, the rest is history. I was excited about this sight weeks ago but am lying here in extreme pain and have my doubts now!

Hi there, I'm sitting here reading your post with my feet soaking in hot water and Epsom Salts! I do this for 30 mins every morning and it helps loosen up my arthritis feet (I have rheumatoid arthritis). I have been trying ACV and honey twice a day now for a couple of weeks and no relief. I did try large doses of fish oil and glucosamine last year and the pain disappeared for nearly 2 months - heaven! Alas it came back and has never worked since.

I am now experimenting with Borax.. I'm in my 2nd week of 5 days on, 3 days off. I wet my fingertip and dip it into the Borax then swirl it around in my hot toddy of ACV and honey every evening. No luck yet.. Hence the Epsom Salts! Good luck.. and keep going! The answer's out there somewhere, I'm sure.

My husband began taking 1 tablespoon of Really Raw Honey and 1 teaspoon of ceylon (sweet) cinnamon about 5-6 weeks ago for his arthritis in his knees. He takes this first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and does not eat for at least an hour afterward. He could see a definite improvement after the first week and every week since. He now has no pain in his knees at all, unless he stands up too long at one time. Before, his knees were always in pain.

As a holistic practitioner for over 35 years I recently did a very thourough research on Turmeric, known as the Holy Spice in the mid east, cheifly India. I have seen great results for arthritis from Hepatitis C, as a topical mixture for sores and cuts and a host of other ailments. Just took my 2nd 00 cap for today. As it is an astrigent it can also detoxify the body as I have observed with my patients. It is worth studying and there are scientific studies showing the efficacy of Turmeric on several conditions with little interaction with other treatments. I am with you and will take this for the rest of my earthly life. 500 billion blessings of health to all who read this.

1st I tried BSM remedy for a knee issue but I needed surgery for it. Arthritis was found in right knee and now is in left knee. For a week and some I have been doing the honey-cinn and I positively feel the difference. I have not taken any prescribed meds. for a week. I add 2 teaspoons honey and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and add this to a cup very hot water. I drink this morning and nite. I also love the fact that it benefits me in other ways. Hope this helps someone else.

I started taking turmeric powder about 2 and a half years ago, after seeing on a famous news show that it was one of the main ingredients in a pill that was able to reduce your antioxidant level to zero. I did a little research and saw there was little Alzhiemers in India, where it is a big part of the diet. I was having a bit of a memory problem at the time. Anyways, after about 3 months of taking a tablespoon a day, I noticed my shoulder pain went away. My doctor had said he could do nothing for it, as it was arthitis and that he had it also. Now I notice that I don't seem too concern about memory and I have regained some interest in reading articles. I have had several, 3, cases of skin cancer in the last year, hopefully its due to the years of living in a tropical climate. I tried to stop taking it a couple of times to see what would happen and my shoulder pain seem to start to come back. So apparently it did not cure it but stopped the pain and I am now able to shoot basketball or any other activity. I put it in water and stir it up and swallow the half a cup very quickly as I do not like the taste. I order it 5 pounds at a time and keep a 10 pound supply on hand. Be careful it stains things yellow.

Jello! Just plain old Jello is the best thing for Arthritis! I promise! Someone told me about it yrs ago because i have Arthritis in my lower back. and when it gets to bad, i cant walk at all. and i tried it and it worked great!! Just mix it as if your going to chill it and instead of putting it in frig, pour a coffee cup full and drink. do 1 cup a week to start and then drink as often as needed. Great for stiffness and all!!

Jello is simply gelatin that is flavored. If you 'drink' the sugared kind, bear in mind that sugar can actually cause arthritic pain. Please consider adding plain gelatin to your foods. I use the Now brand beef gelatin powder and just put a sprinkle into foods I eat daily. There is a brand (Great Lakes?) that has 2 types, one that thickens and one that does not, and are easy to add to coffee or other foods. Neither of these add any flavor and can be added to any food you normally eat. Start out with 1/4 teaspoon for several days, then increase until you get to a dose that works for you. Gelatin taken this way is also soothing to the gut.

Peanut Oil

For soothing the pain and stiffness of arthritis:

Rub peanut oil into the affected joints, also massaging the tissues around the joint to bring up the circulation. If you can find the really good oil -- organic and cold-pressed -- that's great, but even store-bought peanut oil will help some. This is right out of the Edgar Cayce readings.

If you're going to sleep after this treatment, you may want to wear old cotton clothing (gloves, socks, etc.) to protect your sheets. My Mom did this every night when I sent her peanut oil for her hands. She was an avid golfer but the arthritis in her joints was getting worse, threatening to limit her golf games. She did the peanut oil rubs at night with cotton gloves and was able to keep winning club championships into her ‘60s.

Schedule your peanut oil rub in a cyclic pattern. For example, do it every other night; OR, do it for four nights, then take off three nights.

Some people find that pain and inflammation begin subsiding within days; for others, it's weeks. But once the pain and stiffness have disappeared, you only need to use the peanut oil as needed, if the pain returns. Once a week for prevention is recommended. (A full-body massage once a week with peanut oil may prevent arthritis from developing at all, or, if present, can inhibit its development.)

Another factor to consider: The parathyroids, tiny glands on the thyroid, are responsible for managing calcium in the body. If calcium is being inappropriately deposited, these glands may need some help. And this is simple, when you do your peanut oil rubs, finish up with massaging the base of the throat where the thyroid/parathyroids are. Tilt your head back a bit and rub in some oil there; also grasp the area and vibrate it a few seconds to "wake up" the thyroid and parathyroids.

Traditional medicine says that you need to limit your calcium intake, but holistically, we understand that, when the body "hoards" or "stores, " that means it is not getting enough of the substance. Look for calcium lactate supplements that have magnesium. And also take a cod liver oil supplement with it for vitamin D to process the calcium, if you're not out in the sun regularly.
It's better to restrict your protein (which requires calcium to process it) than to restrict your calcium. Populations with high protein intake, such as the eskimos, also have a higher incidence of arthritis, as opposed to South Sea Islanders whose protein intake is relatively low and arthritis is rare.

I have over the years never failed on helping bad knees with Calc fluor 30X. Four pills once each evening under the tongue. When pain or any discomfort stops cease taking.

Then take a dose now and then if any reoccurrence. Good for tone elasticity in body, joints, bones, as well as for teeth and gums.

Read about this wonderful remedy.

Don't take too often.

Vinegar

Vinegar definitely has miraculous properties and could easily put aspirin/tylenol out of business.

Using a mix of 2/3 +/- plus 1/3 water in a spray bottle to relieve an itchy rash (and also a fever) decided to spray sore ankles/ feet. In minutes, my ankles snapped (normal for me except when swollen), relieving the pressure. Applied to my hands, my knuckles enjoyed the same fast relief.

Spritzing water alone never provided this kind of relief, so I'm holding vinegar accountable.
