Eliminating Tea

Tea can cause arthritis!

Why are the government of India and the state governments doing nothing to ruthlessly curb the rampant adulteration and massive contamination of common items of food like tea, milk, cooking oils, spices, etc? Adulteration and contamination of such common foods can cause coughs, colds, asthma, arthritis, cancer and many other diseases in millions of people.

How many persons will believe that I suffered from arthritis, which often caused pain in my knees, over a period of about 3 years, mainly because I was drinking tea? The tea must be containing harmful chemicals, which are used for giving flavor and color to the damned tea leaves during the time they are processed!

I was able to cure myself of arthritis only after I completely stopped drinking tea. I had tried many types of dietary treatments to control the symptoms of arthritis, but I was unable to cure myself of arthritis, as long as I did not completely stop drinking the darn tea!!

Even though I am 73 years old, I have again started riding my bicycle for about 40 minutes almost every day. People who know me are surprised to see me cycling again after a long time. They had often seen me walking slowly and uncomfortably on the streets of pune in the last 3 years. The discomfort due to the arthritis in my knees was obvious to those who had seen me walking awkwardly during that period.

Dear Robert Henry,

Well, your story about how a family doctor got your father out of a fib is fascinating! My great-grandfather was a doctor in rural NC around 1900 or so. He did house calls. He charged $5 to deliver a baby. Or sometimes he would be paid for his services with a bushel of apples or wheat. Times have surely changed. I never knew him but have seen his accounting books. Amazing.

Regarding cayenne...I love it myself. It has helped my family with strep throat, hemorrhage, poor circulation....among other things....I know it is used as a catalyst and maybe it would do that for turmeric for someone who cannot take black pepper. Apparently, black pepper is used to potentate turmeric because of the piperine in it, which cayenne does not have.

I would love to come up with an experiment to see the difference in how turmeric versus tumeric/black pepper versus turmeric/cayenne affect healing. Maybe some day!

I heard a story over the weekend about turmeric and black pepper so I thought I would update this thread.

My friend said that she took turmeric with noticeable results. But when she took turmeric and black pepper it made her feel inflamed.

Obviously turmeric does not need black pepper to work and black pepper isn't for everyone.

A fascinating thing to me about natural treatment is how individual it can be. It is as much an art as a science.

Borax

Hi Linden...It defeats me why people even bother to buy the boron supplements from the health shops because dosages of 3 mgs to 6 mgs are way to small and it's expensive. You are better to just buy the borax off the internet -- even technical or lab grade borax is dirt cheap and you will get more for your money. Taking 1/4 tspn borax in a liter of water per day means that you are taking 1000 mgs of borax. But if you work out the actual content of boron in the 1000 mgs of borax -- it only comes to about 115 mgs of boron. Similarly women should take 1/8 tspn (or 500 mgs) borax in a liter of water. That works out to a daily dose of only 57 mgs boron per day.

I've been supplementing borax regularly for about 9 years. I now usually just add a pinch of borax(same as a pinch of salt) to my coffee or tea twice a day. I do this because the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for borax has about the same toxicity level as common table salt. More info on borax for you here.

Best Regards,

Bill

The soils of western Australia are short on all the essential minerals.. It might not be just Boron.. It could be any number of essentials that you need. It might be a good idea to get some kelp tablets as well, it will be three months on these to make a difference. Don't overdo it.. I was taking a well advertised vitamin and mineral supplement.. And I'm sure that since its made from petro chemicals, it's usless and caused cracking and small ulcers at the corners of my mouth, which have just healed up after discontinuing after four weeks. Naturals are best.

Multiple Remedies

First I'd like to thank everyone for their input. This site is a life saver.

So, I came down with terrible pain in my wrist, fingers, right hip, knee, foot and lower back. It became so unbearable at times that I could not walk or get out of the chair, and I thought that this is no life. If I had to live like this forever I'd rather be dead. However, I prayed and found the answers. Since I don't have insurance anymore - which is a blessing not a curse - I had to self diagnose and realized that I have Osteo Arthritis.

I spent many hours in researching on the internet and found that there are several things I could do to not only stop the pain but also to reverse bone cartilage decay. And this is for all forms of Arthritis. To stop the pain: 3, 4, or 5 thin slices of Organic Ginger, 8-10 oz. of hot good water, 2 teaspoons of each Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and Honey. Place the Ginger in a cup and pour the boiling water over it. Put a lid (Not plastic) or a small plate over it to cover. Let it soak for 10-15 minutes. Then add the ACV and Honey and drink this 3 times a day. It controls the pain to the point where I forget it is there. But for the long run do also exercise and eat undenatured Type II chicken cartilage and Gelatine. (I'll get to this later). Another important thing is to get all your trace minerals back into your body.

Exercise as often as you can. Every 2 minutes count. It does not have to be exhausting and you don't have to buy anything. Get something that has weight (a can of vetable, a plastic bag with sugar, or buy exercise weights). Start low, and do about 20 gentle reps. The pull on the bones strengthens them and you can feel a difference in a short period of time. Start with maybe 3-5 minutes several times a day, and build up. My favorte exercise is this: stand on your toes for a few seconds (maybe 5-10) and go back down. Do 20 repetitions, many times a day, and/or walk on your tippy toes for several steps keeping your neck up like a giraffe. There is no wrong way of doing it. Do this is as often as you can. I even do the toe up and down when standing in line for the cashier. These exercises are very powerful - don't under estimate them. Another good one is to stand with your feet a little bit apart, then bend your knees and go down a little bit but keep your back straight, like you have a broomstick along your spine. Never force anything that does not feel good to you.

Type II Undenatured Chicken Cartilage. This is so powerful that the Harvard University patented it. Undenatured means raw and it is the cartilage from the chicken's sternum. I personally would not eat that from a non-organic chicken because of the risk of contamination. There are many supplements on the market but many of them have been heat and/or chemically treated which destroys the effect. You need to do your own research on that. Tip: Dr. Joel D. Wallach is a Vet who has treated Arthiritis successfully in animals and people. I have red only an exerpt that was published online but I will get one of his books. He has used Chicken Cartilage and Gelatine, but I recommend to get only Organic Gelatine since the regular one is treated with heat and chemicals.

And last but not least: Minerals. If you have been eating non organic (conventionell) fruits and vegetables, or even worse - packeged stuff, you are definitely deficient in essential trace minerals. Your body cannot do without them or you get all kinds of diseases. The cheapest and quickest way to remedy this is to get Organic Blackstrap Molasses. Take about 1-2 teaspoons a day. Indefinitely if you want. In addition to this I have also taken Boron supplement. I take 2-3 capsules a day, each capsule containing 3mg. The late Dr. Rex E. Newnham has cured his own arthiritis with it.

So this is my contribution to this website. Everything I have stated here has helped me to control my arthritis to the point where I sometimes forget it is there. I have just started this regimen about a week ago and it has helped very quickly, almost instantly, especially the ACV/Honey/Ginger Tea. However, I am not a doctor or healthcare professional. Do your own research and before starting anything new consult your doctor first.

Good luck and all the best to all of you.

My husband began taking 1 tablespoon of Really Raw Honey and 1 teaspoon of ceylon (sweet) cinnamon about 5-6 weeks ago for his arthritis in his knees. He takes this first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and does not eat for at least an hour afterward. He could see a definite improvement after the first week and every week since. He now has no pain in his knees at all, unless he stands up too long at one time. Before, his knees were always in pain.

As a holistic practitioner for over 35 years I recently did a very thourough research on Turmeric, known as the Holy Spice in the mid east, cheifly India. I have seen great results for arthritis from Hepatitis C, as a topical mixture for sores and cuts and a host of other ailments. Just took my 2nd 00 cap for today. As it is an astrigent it can also detoxify the body as I have observed with my patients. It is worth studying and there are scientific studies showing the efficacy of Turmeric on several conditions with little interaction with other treatments. I am with you and will take this for the rest of my earthly life. 500 billion blessings of health to all who read this.

I am now 4 weeks into the ‘'Cinnamon Cure' for Rheumatoid Arthritis in my hip joint. I am feeling about 50% better. Still not out of the woods but this “Cinnamon Cure” is promising. Any one with RA or any Arthritis condition needs to try this.

Here is the science behind why it works.

Cinnamon Has Anti-Inflammatory Properties

Cinnamon is good for helping to reduce inflammation in your body due to the compound cinnamaldehyde.

A study published in the journal Food & Function found that Ceylon cinnamon and Cassia cinnamon are one of the most important anti-inflammatory foods. Cinnamon extracts contain cinnamaldehyde which can help treat age-related inflammatory conditions. (9)

Lab studies have shown that compounds in cassia cinnamon help to lower inflammatory markers in the blood. Scientists concluded that cinnamon extract has potential use in natural health products due to its excellent anti-inflammatory properties. (10)

Black Cumin and Honey
Posted by Rob (Kentucky) on 01/01/2025

@ Madelyn

Add 1 teaspoon cumin powder to ½ a glass of water and drink it daily. Drink this after your meals every day for 20 days or more for good results. It taste like taco's.

Cumin can help in burning calories faster by increasing the speed of metabolism and improving digestion. When you have a healthy digestive system and a faster metabolism, you will automatically lose weight.

Iranian scientists from the Shahid Sadoughi University of Medical Sciences included 88 women who were considered overweight or obese into their study. They randomly divided them into two groups.

– One group ate 3 grams (equal to three-fourths of a teaspoon or 3/4 teaspoon) of cumin powder daily, mixed into 5 grams of yogurt.

– The control group consumed yogurt too, but without any additions.

– Both groups received dietary advice and reduced their daily caloric intake by 500 calories.

Cumin for Weight Loss: Research Results

Different body measurements and parameters were taken before the study and after 3 months of dieting.

Women who were eating cumin, lost twice as much body fat (not body muscle) compared to those in the non-cumin group.

Hi cj

I find Borax to be very helpful. I was reading about Parasites..They can also cause a lot of joint pain. The best Parasite killer is Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth. I also take this.

I take 1 cup warm water with 1 teaspoon of F G D E, 5 weekdays and stop on weekends.I do this for 3 months. That lengh of time will kill the eggs that are hatching. After 3 month taking Borax along with F G D E I am almost certain you will be pain free. I continue Borax and if my joints get sore or ache I go back on F G D E. Make sure its Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth. All ranchers feed their livestock with it.You can feed all pets also.

Bee Stings
Posted by Michael (New Zealand) on 05/21/2021

Well that IS interesting!

There is a chap in this Country who, years ago, set up a business, firstly producing honey, then propolis (sp?) and latterly, bee venom.

He is able to extract the bee's venom and market it as a treatment for Arthritis I think.

I did not realize that a wasp's sting would also work for Arthritis.

Mind you, being stung by our Waikato wasp is no fun. They call it the German wasp in Europe. Not sure what they call it in Germany! We also have hornets and paper wasps plus many native wasps that are not "social wasps". Just FYI as they say.

DMSO spray or lotion to affected area to be first choice of Arthritis remedy (whether rheumatoid or osteo). There are plenty of authoritative documentations as to how effective DMSO is. It is surprising that not many people seem to use it. The typical 99.9% is too strong to spray, best skin absorption is 70-80% they say, but one shouldn't use such high concentration since it stings too much. There shouldn't be any rush, I use 40% spray to hip joints (which I have been suffering few years & getting worse), and I saw much improvement in only few days!!! I don't feel much stings with 40% (just add 6 parts of distilled water to 4 parts of 99.9% DMSO, this will HEAT the solution, don't be surprised, this is normal reaction – this is NEVER mentioned in any literature I saw). Some plastic melt in DMSO, so preferably buy DMSO spray bottle. Also don't forget Red/NIR Light Therapy too. This is very effective on arthritis as well as many many body conditions, you will be surprised to find so many health benefits in Red Light Therapy including skin rejuvenation. Again plenty of documentations. Study them. This is NOT UV high frequency light, but low frequency red and beyond NIR (Near Infrared that is invisible & has longer wave length than red).

After a year with little salt, no sugar, carbs, night shades, tomato sauce or dairy I ate thanksgiving dinner. The next day I couldn't make a fist in both hands and trigger fingers appeared. I can only say all the sugar and carbs in that meal did me in. I'm now trying to rid my hand pain and it's been a month. Going back to my dietary changes of before. Prior to this those changes had me drop 20 pounds too I just did it for that, but seeing how those food's affected me, it's a small price to pay folks to be pain free. Just hope I haven't damaged my joints!! Food in America is worthless and you wonder why we have all those awful commercials for ailments. Wise up my friends.

I experience a lot of pain in one of my hips...I have a femoroacetabular impingement, and associated bursitis and arthritis. It was becoming a major problem, and I was finding it painful to put any weight on the hip. I'm in my mid 30's. I've started swimming again and even though initially it made it worse, the effect after just a few weeks of regular freestyle has made all the difference. no pain, increased movement and range in the hip and most importantly, stronger gluteal muscles to support the area, as that's my best hope (surgery is not an option). Everyone, get moving!

"I drank four gallons over about a month's time, and nothing. So disappointed." SMH

People need to realize, to be healthy you need to be drinking at least a gallon of pure clean water per DAY! That's 4 liters a day for you Canucks out there... More if you drink coffee or on water pills... I suggest people to not take any pharmaceutical medication because they are ALL poisons.

Pure clean water = distilled water.

I have been drinking distilled water for 6 -7 years now. It is the cleanest water there is. AND no, distilled water does NOT leech essential minerals from the body. They do however remove any non organic matter that doesn't belong in our bodies. Including heavy metals.

Barbara is/was a nurse. A lot of female naturopaths, herbalists, homeopaths and general healers of the drugless variety who are more interested in actual healing than maintaining some sort of god-like social status, making money or otherwise mingling good works with man's sociopolitical obsessions are - or started out as - nurses. You can only demand a nurse sacrifice the well-being of a patient so many times before that nurse either explodes or IMplodes.

It always amazes me that the modern, drug-dealing patent medicine scammers aren't strangled where they stand with their own stethoscopes - on a daily basis - it's a real testament to nurses. In a world where they are constantly surrounded by a society that allows saving lives to be against the law? Nurses are awesome.

Magnesium

Any information I have shared on nutrition has been taken from a Nutrition Almanac, copyright 2007. I have recently read updated information that I feel is important to inform EC members with regard to magnesium. In the NA and on the bottles of Magnesium Oxide, the instructions are that it is to be taken with meals because it needs to bind with protein before it will be absorbed.

A 2014 report by a practitioner of natural therapies suggests that it not be taken with meals, but an hour before or after.

Even though I eliminated my joint pain (i.e., neck, spine, elbow, knees, and one toe) for decades after I had been taking it right after a protein meal, I recently (in the last few days) started to feel some arthritis type of pain in my right hand. I thought maybe I better read the article. I don't remember when I got it...I had intended to read it...I just kept moving it aside, to do later when I had the time. Now is the time.

The article recommends mixing the powder in 1/2 glass of water, which I used to do, but because it hardened and seemed to "coat" the glass, I wondered if it could be doing that in my veins. I started mixing it in about 4-6 oz. of OJ, slightly warmed (30-45 sec. in microwave) and it seemed to dissolve better.

If anyone is interested in the article, here is the link: http://www.vdk.com.au/ select "Colon Cleanse" then "Read More". Scroll down past "Magnesium Oxide", then PASS "Learn more about Magnesium Oxide" and select Magnesium Oxide Information". It should take you right to the article.

I just tried my first dose with water again (I ate about four hours ago so I don't know if it will do any good), I just don't like the way it mixes with water. I will let you know if my hand improves...or even if it doesn't.

I'll have to confess that I had also stopped taking the mag powder everyday and alternated using the tabs instead because it was easier and I'm running low on my powder.

The mag powder is 400 mg. per 1/4 tsp. and the tabs are 250 mg. per tab. Gee, that's pretty obvious. Why didn't I think to look at that before? Maybe this will help someone in pain.

I've learned so much over the last two decades. I had switched to the powder because I had reactions to the binders and fillers in tabs (hidden MSG) Maybe that's why, although "NatureMade" was supposed to be tolerated well by people sensitive to MSG.

It's taken me over a couple hours to type this and I'll have to say the pain in my hand is not as bad as it was earlier. Thank you for allowing me to "process information" as I dealt with the pain.

New things are being discovered all the time...KT

Acv and baking soda and chicken cartilage for arthritis

Hi, I suffer from chronic arthritis in my knees, elbows, wrists lower back and all my other joints. I have been using Apple Cider Vinegar and baking soda for 3 weeks and chicken cartilage in orange juice for 12days with absolutely no change in my condition. I am extremely disillusioned as I suffer excruciating pains in my knees, elbows and back. Where are all the people who spoke about these miracle treatments? The pains did not even recede. Are these scams or what. I was on methotrexate for4 weeks, took myself off as it made me Ill. Then I was rushed to hospital for a blood transfusion as it stripped all my blood. I was put onto cortisone which removed a lot of my pain but after weaning myself off after 7weeks the pains were back in full force. I am passionate about alternative medicine and was determined to try something natural. Hence, the rest is history. I was excited about this sight weeks ago but am lying here in extreme pain and have my doubts now!

Hi there, I'm sitting here reading your post with my feet soaking in hot water and Epsom Salts! I do this for 30 mins every morning and it helps loosen up my arthritis feet (I have rheumatoid arthritis). I have been trying ACV and honey twice a day now for a couple of weeks and no relief. I did try large doses of fish oil and glucosamine last year and the pain disappeared for nearly 2 months - heaven! Alas it came back and has never worked since.

I am now experimenting with Borax.. I'm in my 2nd week of 5 days on, 3 days off. I wet my fingertip and dip it into the Borax then swirl it around in my hot toddy of ACV and honey every evening. No luck yet.. Hence the Epsom Salts! Good luck.. and keep going! The answer's out there somewhere, I'm sure.

Turmeric for Crohn's disease & Arthritis

I started taking turmeric for arthritis and got my mother who is 69 taking turmeric pills as well, 600 mg per day in one pill. If I run out of pills for longer than 4-5 days my knuckles start hurting and it's hard to bend my index finger. I make sure I don't run out any longer.

My mom has been faithful about taking the turmeric pills and just recently mentioned how she thinks it is helping with her Crohn's disease. She had emergency surgery in 1992 for an obstruction and they removed a large portion of small intestines and colon. It was due to Crohn's disease but they didn't diagnose it until after the surgery.

Since the surgery in 1992, my mom has narrowed down what foods bother her to eat. She cannot digest any kind of fat. Red meats, fried foods, nothing with fat digests and if she eats anything with fat she gets bad diarrhea sometimes all night long.

Since she has been taking the turmeric she has noticed that when she cheats and eats pizza or french fries (knowing full well what she will endure later after eating those fatty foods) she has found that she isn't bothered by the fat now and doesn't get the bad diarrhea.

She does take 2 different over the counter digestive enzyme pills with fattening meals to help digest the fat but she has always taken those pills. But now with taking the turmeric pills she can eat more of what she wants to eat without any of the consequences which is a blessing since she is so thin.

Hope this helps someone else. Reading this site has helped me and my family out tremendously. I encourage everyone to give feedback. You never know when it might help someone.

In response to "arthritis in my hands and wrists and bad knees", A simple inexpensive solution that removes all pain for many people is to mix one oz. of canning "pectin" in 12 oz. of hot water then mix that into 1/2 gal. "Concord Grape-juice" and drink a glass each day that you have arthritis pain. This I do about once a month or every other month whenever the pain shows up and then it is gone within 6-48hrs.
