Effective Natural Remedies for Tooth Abscess Relief

Zinc

I had a severe tooth abscess that I accidentally cured with zinc lozenges. I lost a filling last year and after being tortured by food getting into the space where the filling was I intentionally cracked off part of my tooth (not too bright). this resulted in some sort of infection and I had a tooth abscess on and off for about a month. it got real bad and I decided to take some zinc lozenges. I had heard that zinc lozenges kill mouth bacteria and can kill the bacteria that cause a strep throat ... so I took four. each lozenge had 24 mg. zinc, 1000 IU vit A, and 150 mg vit C. the abscess came to a head and it was over by the fourth lozenge. I don't know if it was the zinc, but zinc is a very powerful antibacterial metal, and I think it immobilized the bacteria in the mouth.

Jaw Bone Infection Remedies

I had a root canal gone bad. I was aware of how dangerous root canals are , so I had it extracted and the dentist put a bone graft right over an hidden brewing infection that was in my jaw bone. For a couple years I suffered the following symptoms : brain fog , light and movement sensitivty, tremors, shortness of breath, wheezing , weight loss, nausea, heart palpatations, memory loss, aching joints, chronic sore throat dizziness, brain swelling burning and dry eyes, blurred vision, hives, dry heaves , rash and general weakness. Very fortuanate to have loving supportive family. I had a million tests, and saw 4 holistic dentist they did not possess the knowledge to help me . I also had ultrasound, MRI and x-ray of my jaw and the infection did NOT show up . Finally I found an expert cavitation specialist who was an expert . Who went in and simply made incisions into all the extraction dental sites, all the sites were cleaned scaped, sterlized by laser. I had a serious necrosis jaw infection the bone was mushy, Cavitation dental surgery is way easier than an extraction it seemed pretty straighforward, simple easy procedure took two pain killer for two days and I was fine. Bone infection is just the first level have it addressed now , it can turn into gangrene which is the next level and then amputation. You see the seriousness of what you're dealing with, it is an medical emergency you must have surgery there is no other way to get into the jaw bone it is a closed blood system. I wasted my time with ozone injections, and poultices that did NOT addess the serious jaw bone infection. The sooner you have it addressed the sooner you get feel better.

Multiple Remedies

I came on here recently in search of a way to naturally treat my tooth abscess and I am happy to say it worked!

I have a terrifying fear of the dentist, based on a history of tooth problems that started when I was a toddler. I was literally dragged into the dental chair by the assistant, slapped across the face by the dentist, then filled with silver fillings where I didn't need them. It went downhill from there over the years, so I try to avoid them, their massive expense, their fluoride and other poisons.

The abscess appeared in the back of my mouth, where I have a broken molar....thank-you sadistic silver filling dentist. The pain was excruciating!

This is the list of what I did for a week and so far, so good:

warm salt water rinses, wet tea bag over abscess, clove and/or peppermint oil on a cotton ball, brushing gently with baking soda (I don't use commercial toothpaste anyway), coconut oil pulling and a concoction I found somewhere on the net that I tweaked a bit....

the contents of 3 capsules of activated charcoal, 1 capsule of echinacea, a couple of dashes of cayenne pepper, a few drops each of peppermint & clove oils and some coconut oil.....mix it into a paste of sorts. I didn't measure, but eye-balled it until the consistency seemed right. You may want to use gloves because this is messy stuff. I placed it onto the abscess a couple of times per day. Coconut oil turns into liquid when it is warm, so I put a cotton ball in there to help keep it all in place.

Using a mix of these remedies...and a bit of ibuprofen...the swelling went down and the pain disappeared. I am still rinsing with warm salt water, oil pulling and placing a cotton ball with clove/peppermint oil on it once a day to make sure the infection is well and truly gone.

My abscess didn't exactly pop in the manner that many on here have described, but I did get some puss and blood at times as the swelling went down. It was a slower process, rather than the dramatic dam bursting I was expecting, but it worked. There is no pain, swelling or even much sensitivity there now.

I wish everyone luck in their quest to alleviate this pain as naturally as possible.

Love & Light :-)

Hi there, just curious if you are taking Fosamax or the generic drug for prevention of osteroporosis? A side effect of the drug is a condition called osteonecrosis of the jaw also known as jaw death. Both my mother and mother in law recently had teeth pulled due to this drug. Last spring my mothers femur broke due to this pill that was supposed to make her bones stronger! Needless to say neither women are taking this dangerous drug any longer.

Good luck to you! Sincerely, Debbie

It is wise to keep all body parts as much as possible. Swishing Colloidal Silver in the mouth will proly be your best first try for this infection. If this doesn't work, try swishing MMS (Miracle Mineral solution) as directed. Check Genesis II Church Of Health & Healing dot com for specifics.

Activated Charcoal

Dear Terri,

I don't know if the person who wrote the original post is still around on EC.

We have used charcoal and clove oil in the mouth. The process you suggest sounds fine. Charcoal doesn't taste bad. It doesn't have a taste; it is kind of gritty. Clove oil is strong, but effective. You can leave it in until it is washed out with our own saliva. You can repeat as often as needed.

Do not do this near the time you take prescription medications as the charcoal can adsorb them.

Let us know how it goes!

I know you wrote about charcoal for tooth pain awhile ago, but I would like more info how to use it. The person at the health store said it would probably taste bad. Do you just use the contents of 1 capsule and a few drops of clove oil and put it on with a cotton swab? How long do you leave it on. Thank you!

Hi Britee, sorry I can't help answering your question because I haven't had that surgery myself (although I do have TMJ and a nerve damage in my face). I suggest you look up "Cavitation Surgery Forum" on Curezone, there's a lenghty tread about this treatment there and you are likely to find personal experience of people who'd been through this. Hope this helps. Oldriska

Bentonite Clay, Multiple Remedies

Well after a month, I've come out on the other side from a tooth abscess where I allowed the infection to spread to my jaw. I thought I could keep working and just take some natural antibacterials to treat it. Not so. My jaw line became swollen, my tooth on the lower jaw was loose, and the pain was indescribably intense at one point.

15 years ago, I had an abscess, and I naively trusted my oral surgeon and allowed all of my upper teeth to be pulled at the age of 35. I just didn't know better. I will never trust dental professionals again, so I went after this on my own.

At first, I threw pretty much everything listed here at it. I took/applied lots of colloidal silver, oil of oregano, garlic, tea bags, turmeric and salt water, H202, and more. What finally helped me turn this around was Bentonite Clay. I got both the powder and the liquid clay. My cheek and gums were raw at first from all the treatments I'd been applying, but it didn't hurt, it just felt weird as it drew out the infection. I alternated between making a little putty with the powder and leaving between infected gun and infected cheek for 20 mins and doing bentonite swishes with the liquid for 10-15 mins. I did one of them once a day. Maybe I COULD HAVE DONE IT 2XS/DAY, who knows. But the swelling went down after the first day and disappeared after the 2nd day. at least externally. There was still some swelled pockets inside my mouth that went away after 4 more days.

The pain level diminished greatly. After using the clay, I first used 50/50 H20 & H202 to rinse. Then I switched to a periodontal wash I got at Whole Foods, with all sorts of good stuff in it. (golden seal, oregano, Gotu Kola, olive leaf, grapefruit seed, xylitol, chlorophyll, etc)

I apply a similar periodontal rub/gel on the gum before bed, after rinsing and brushing with a natural toothpaste.

I take 20K iu of Vitamin D3, 8K mg of buffered C, 400 mg Q10, molybdenum with 2 meals, and try to stay very hydrated. I think the most important thin I take hasn't been listed here and that's Olive Leaf Extract (OLE).

Look up this amazing antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory, pain killing, liver-helping herb. I started this shortly after the clay. I try to take one ev 2 hours. Sometimes every hour. I will keep up with it for a while. There are no side effects.

Now, one month later, its -almost- like it never happened. The tooth is firm, I can eat & smile without pain, and I feel really good. I think this might have been a blessing in disguise. Its gotten me refocused on my health. The abscess has left behind a severely recessed gum however, so now my job is to remineralize the bone and tooth & try to rebuild the gumline. Hence the D3, Vit C, and Q10. As I understand, I'll also need some L-lysine & Threonine.

My fingers are crossed that the tooth in question isn't actually dead and has a chance at rebounding. I will update if it is in fact a goner & doesn't hurt anymore simply because the nerves are shot...

So anyways, I hope this helps someone out there, maybe bring about healing faster than a month! It was about a 7 day recovery once I began the clay treatment to draw the infection out. Blessed Be.

Pyrogenium (Homeopathic Remedy)

Homeopathy to the rescue again...... I have suffered with weak dental roots for years and have paid dearly for it.... and often found that the antibiotics the doctors used to help one tooth would harm another tooth... But after years of forking over hundreds of dollars for a root canal.... I finally found a miracle cure which dentists won't want you to know about... I haven't needed a root canal since. A few years back, after having to have a surgical root canal - because the dentist had broken off a tool in my root when he performed the initial root canal... I developed an infection after the surgery... my Dr. gave me Doxycycline for the infection... it stripped my digestive tract and turned it into "acid city"... Doxy was horrible and made me very acidic for the first time in my life. After a few days it still wasn't getting rid of the infection... I looked thru a book on "Dental Homeopathy" and found a little known remedy for tooth infections... Pyrogenium (9-12x or c)... Within one day the infection was gone. Now if I ever feel any twinging in a tooth that might mean I have an infection in my tooth... I immediately take Pyrogenium and the pain goes away... I've avoided a few expensive root canals thanks to Pyrogen.... Pass it on...

To show you how bad it is... my regular dentist sent me to an endodontist because he saw an irregularity in my root (this was many years ago)... the "expert endodontist" said I needed a root canal... He charged me $800 for it... When I went back to my regular dentist...he said there was still a problem... so I went back to endodontist... he proclaimed that it actually was a cracked root, not an infected tooth and the moron actually was going to make me pay him again to do a root canal.... I've pretty much given up on dentists and find my own cures... For $7.00 you can heal your roots not destroy them with a root canal... Also Calc Fluor is another homeopathy that claims to rebuild teeth... so you may not even need fillings... I haven't had a chance to try this but you might want to.

Oil Pulling, Castor Oil

To tackle an abscessed tooth, first of all, pull oil. You can find the instructions for this here on earthclinic.com. It's gentle and extremely effective at deep cleaning your teeth. I would suggest using either organic extra virgin olive oil or organic coconut oil for this. Do NOT pull castor oil. It could make you rather ill.

Next, to help relieve the pain, gently massage castor oil into the sore area of your jaw, face and neck. Not inside your mouth, but on your face and neck. You will probably find that the pain will reduce within an hour or so.

The castor oil will penetrate to a depth of approximately 10 centimeters, so it will get into the infected area. Castor oil is antibacterial and will help to clean out the poison. It's also extremely effective as a painkiller. Sorry, I don't know why, I just know it works.

If you use the castor oil at night I would suggest wrapping your pillow in an old towel to prevent the oil from staining your bedding.

Oil of Oregano
Posted by Toourlady989 (Hayward, Ca) on 09/25/2013

Oregano oil, also called oil of oregano, is a natural antimicrobial and antispasmodic remedy. Many people have successfully used oregano oil for treating a tooth abscess, which is an infection that can spread to the jaw. The pain associated with a jaw infection can be so severe that dentists typically prescribe pain medications. Oregano oil's numbing properties reduce pain, and its antimicrobial properties will help clear up the infection. Before using oregano oil for this type of infection, talk to your doctor or dentist first.

Step 1

Saturate one end of a cotton swab with oil of oregano and apply to your gums.

Step 2

Saturate the other end of the cotton swab and apply it to any abbesses in the mouth. According to Medicine Plus, mouth abscesses may require surgery in order to drain the pus, which would ultimately reduce some pain as well. Oregano oil assists abscess drainage and kills the bacteria leaking from the pus-like packet in the mouth.

Step 3

Apply oil of oregano to the teeth affected by the jaw infection with another clean cotton swab. A jaw infection typically affects the gums and teeth. Applying oregano oil on the tooth can prevent further tooth decay. Apply the oil to the gums between the teeth that are affected.

Step 4

Do not eat for 30 minutes after application. This gives the oil time to work.

Step 5

Saturate a cotton ball with oil of oregano and apply to your jaw. You need a topical application for the external jaw area. You may feel pain around the ears, cheeks and throat. Apply the oregano oil to these areas. Apply the oil anywhere you feel pain.

Step 6

Use oregano oil every 2 to 3 hours until your infection clears up and add oregano to your foods for maximum benefits. Phyllis Balch, author of "Prescription for Nutritional Healing, Fifth Edition: A Practical A-to-Z Reference to Drug-Free Remedies Using Vitamins, Minerals, Herbs & Food Supplements, " recommends adding oregano to foods or oregano oil to salads for maximum antimicrobial effects.

Dear Wieas,

Concerning your desire to find a natural antidote to the infection on your jaw; This is what I'd do if this were me... I'd take a high parts per million solution of colloidal silver (over 100 ppm) and mix with an equal part of DMSO, a solvent and carrier. A cap full and a half of both... Or a tablespoon of each and use white paper towel to soak up the mix. When combined the mix will become warm. Immediately soak the paper towel with the mix and apply the soaked part of the paper towel to the jaw where the absess is located. Hold there for fifteen minutes. Repeat an hour later.

Repeat the same protocol the next day. And the next. By the third day you should be able to tell a big difference. If better, continue the treatment.

The silver solution kills the virual/fungal/bacterial infection and the DMSO carries the silver INTO the jaw.

Best to you,

Dave

Hi Wieas,

You can try swishing with Sodium bi Carbonate water, which you can make by disolving one tea spoon of Sodium bi Carbonate in half glass of water. You can do it at least twice a day and it should keep the bacteral infection at bay. Good Luck

I have now had 2 abscesses on my lower jaw bone. I think this is what my doctor called it when I last saw him. It was either an abscess or an infection he referred to it as but I cannot really remember.

Anyway, what happens is my jaw starts to become really sore and I can feel a lump on my lower jaw bone. This lump cannot be felt inside my mouth but can be felt by pressing my face at the bottom of my jaw.

I was prescribed antibiotics by the doctor on both occasions. I can't take anything with penicillin in as I'm allergic to it and come out in a rash. The problem is although the pain eventually goes when I take the antibiotics I can still feel a very small lump in my jaw which makes me think that the infection has not totally cleared. This has happened on both occasions when I have had an infection. I am worried now that I am going to be more likely to get recurrent infections every few months because of it.

Can anyone recommend anything natural I could take to clear the infection, please? Thank you.

For a dental abscess, all you really need is Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) and dental floss, if you have dental brushes that fit in between your teeth, even better. Floss, brush, drink diluted ACV around 2 tbl per glass. If you're not able to swish and swallow, add honey, dilute even more. Twice daily, within a day or 2 amazing results. If you can adjust diet to avoid infections all together even better, if not keep ACV in the house.

MADDTOM from Colorado: I really like posts like yours because I have a lot of experience now with good results re my teeth to pass on. I am a senior with ALL my teeth except one I lost many years ago. Even in that case I should have known better but thanks to EC I have a completely new and far more effective tooth care regimen which empowers me to know what is in my mouth and to keep business away from my health.

Recently I saw a dentist after years and the first thing was that he expectd me to accept fluoride. Then, when I told him that when I was much younger a very well respected dentist who taught a a university, sent a piece of mercury down my gullet, saying:don't swallow it! When I told this dentist about it, He mentioned that it probably "went right through. Hmm! Very casual attitude.

I have now been oil pulling for about two years. At the beginning there was a molar that felt loose and the dentist said it had to come out. Then I found: http--paradisenow.net-healing. That changed everything. Oil pulling had given me a fresh breath daily, a clean and healthy tongue and probably detoxed my system without any trouble. It also fixed the loose tooth more firmly in its socket. I don't like to lose a tooth since it has such an effect on the facial features. Oil pulling had also brightened my teeth somewhat.

However, thanks to the site above, I am now trying to heal a cavity on my front tooth. My gums that had always been a problem, are looking really good and the previously exposed tooth necks are almost all right at the gum line, looking really good.

But now, to heal any cavity, I am using MMS (Jim Humble's website) and wow my teeth are getting actually white. I did not really expect that. I thought my yellow/grey teeth would never but they are really nice looking. I am working on some pockets and to eliminate possible sites of infection. I keep the MMS solution in my mouth for two minutes twice a day. If I forget it once, or I am too tired, I use Xytol in my mouth before falling asleep. Of course, I will not forget my oil pulling as it has an overall effect on the body which may vary with the individual. You will find that present practices of dental care are far from beneficial to ones health and thinking of the sums that have to be surrendered!

Anyway I am taking responsibility for my health and again thanks to EC have initiated more changes to the great improvement of my health. The sites mentioned also deal very well with abscesses and pain.

All the best! Om

Folks, recently discovered not so painful soft "lump" on outside upper back tooth. This tooth has been bothering me for couple of months. Very painful for a couple of weeks and then no pain. I know it will need to come out very soon. Question is: how to mitigate and even eliminate this infection. I pull EVOO at least twice a day and have for more than 6 months. My overall health is excellent (65yrs). Like I said I know this tooth needs to come out and I want to eliminate this abscess before I go in (if possible)... Thanks for any info. ThomasM

Update to the tooth saga. It turned out that it was the molar next to the one with the eroded gumline had cracked, and had become infected. From a small fracture it had developed into a full scale crack right down the center of my right second molar after I wrote the above post. Over the last several months, I checked out the pros and cons of all my options - clamps, crowns, root canals, pulling out one half of the tooth and attaching a fake one to the larger half etc. I finally decided to do nothing.

The reason was this: I came to the conclusion that I would rather live with a cracked tooth than chemicals and foreign metal implants in my mouth; that given the choice between autoimmune and other degenerative disease vs. missing out on 1/32th of my dental capacity, I was better off choosing the latter. Both halves of my molar are now doing well. The larger half is firmly rooted, while the smaller half is rooted but moves around like a door on a hinge when I bite down. I have learned to bite gently on the right side of my mouth. Giving my tooth time to heal and strengthen has been an experience that has taught me much - about myself, about slow and steady healing, about all the health issues that stem from dental treatments, about the dental profession, about the medical and dental scams that abound, about the institutional imperative and about accepting the fact that teeth sometimes break, but its not the end of the world, and that panic leads to overtreatment, which leads to side effects that frequently are far worse than the disease the treatment was trying to cure.

If you are dealing with the infection issue only, try using colloidal silver... A good brand, some not being so effective as others. Here's how to use it: Take at least a tablespoon or more into mouth and hold it there for a FULL minute making sure the abscessed tooth is being saturated by the liquid. Spit out.

Often, dental work leaves microscopic holes where infiltration by microbes can penetrate to the facial area. Especailly bad for this is the root canal.

Repeat thirty minutes later, making sure you have enough colloidal silver to saturate. Hold in mouth and spit out. Do it again thirty minutes later.

If the infection is much improved, then keep repeating until the infection is completly gone. You might need to drink a tablespoon in addition because the infection is likely to have gone into your system. Consume at least ten tablespoons over the course of a few days to clear the system.

Even when I have no infection in the mouth, once every few weeks I hold the silver in my own mouth to let the silver absorb into the "holes" in the mouth; just to keep potential infections from taking hold. I do this obviously as a preventative. (Learned to do this after being infected with the Bells Palsy virus.)

Thanks for your testimony.

I have had a root canal followed by crowning of my molar tooth a few years ago. After accidentally biting hard an abscess has formed at the base of the tooth between the root and jawline causing my tooth to be lifted slightly out of its socket that causes pain if the upper tooth touches it (nearly quite often it does). Of course the obvious solution would be an extraction but if there's any alternative then I'd be grateful. Would you be able to advise me on my situation? Thanks!

Actually just rinsing with colloidal silver once per hour would have erradicated the infection in the tooth (you could also swallow 1 ounce of "clean" colloidal silver after the rinses), but all of the rest that this woman used for her daughter would be great for cavity PREVENTION.

NOTE: For pain during tooth infection, frequent swishing of peroxide (then spit), helps pain and infection. Do this at least an hour from the colloidal silver.

I had a tooth abcess and of course four dentists insisted that the tooth be pulled. If I didn't, they said the world would end, aliens were going to invade the earth, and we were all going to die. The problem was that each they said it, they had dollar signs in their eyes. They wanted to sell me an expensive implant. WELLLLLLLL, ignored their advice and just started talking ZINC tablets and have had no problems at all. A friend advised me to take B12 and garlic as well, but have been doing FINE on ZINC alone. And I and not my dentist still have my money.

An abcessed tooth is really a pain and the decision to have a root canal can be a thoughtless one since we trust our dentist. The dentist that created the root canal decided later that it was unhealthy and wrote a book called the root canal coverup.

Hope you make wise choices with your teeth.. I would make different choices... if I only knew then what I am dealing with now.

If you have denture questions a wonderful site for answers FREE denturepro.com

Implants are also very dangerous as they are a point of impact for a potential crack or infection in your jawbone.

Had toothache of terrible intensity a couple of weeks ago. I bit hard on some food at our local farmer's market. My third molar, which has been sensitive for several years due to harsh scratching of the enamel near my gumline by an overzealous (and possibly blind) dentist, just got twisted in a funny way, and a bolt of pain shot through my top and lower jaw.

I ignored it, thinking it would go away. Two days later, it had built up into a throbbing flame on the left side of my face. After one bad experience with a dentist, I did not want to risk it again. Also, I did not want to eat antibiotics, expose myself to xrays, do toxic fillings or root canals.

So I tried the whole combination of remedies listed at earthclinic, starting with raw garlic. Oy! The Allicin bowled me over with its own heat, but the throbbing went away soon as I chomped on the garlic. I reeked of garlic at work, but the effect on the pain was amazing. When I was not chewing garlic, I had cloves clutched between my teeth. Three times a day, I swished concentrated salt water around my mouth, drank my morning tea with a teaspoon of turmeric and raw cream; drank warm milk at night with another large spoonful of turmeric, ate two table spoons of cold pressed flax seed oil daily after I swished it around my hurting tooth. From time to time, I also did some Ayurvedic style oil pulling with either coconut oil or flaxseed oil (the flax seed oil seems to work better). I commenced eating 1. 5 tsp of fermented cod liver oil twice daily. In addition, I was gently brushing my teeth with baking soda and/or coconut oil, drinking nourishing broths, resting the inflamed, side (from chewing), sleeping a good 8-9 hours nightly and sitting out in the warm sun when I could.

By the end of day 7 my pain was gone, the infection was gone. I will continue turmeric in warm raw milk for a week. I will continue to give my tooth 'chewing rest' for another week. My face is not hurting, my gums feel better, and my complexion has become remarkably smooth.

I will now make an active attempt to remineralize my scraped enamel and take better care of my gums.

I wanted to thank you all for generously donating your cures here at Earthclinic. Dr. Hal Huggins by the way is a remarkable doctor. I recommend all his books, podcasts and articles.

WARNING!

Hi Linda, it is very dangerous to let a tooth abcess go untreated. My husband had a tooth abcess a couple of years ago. He'd had a toothache with minor pain for about a week and didn't pay much attention to it until a red line started to form down his neck one morning. He was about to leave the country on business but realized (Thank GOD) that it was now a medical emergency and rushed to get the tooth removed. The oral surgeon who extracted his tooth said he had reached him just in time and that it would have been a disaster if he had gotten on the plane to travel to Europe. As I have since learned from multiple dentists, infection from a tooth abcess can kill you so it is very important to treat an abcessed tooth as soon as possible. Best to you, Liz.

Dear Earth Clinic readers, I am asking for your help. Two days ago at a dental appointment, an xray showed an absess/cyst at bottom of a tooth. Root canal is recomended asap. I have no pain and didn't know I had it. I believe in dr. hal huggins in not having root canals (have had past ones pulled). I seriously do not want to have a root canal done and am wondering what Bill could suggest or anyone that has been able to clear up this condition. I am sure it is affecting my health. Thanks in advance.

Regarding tooth abcesses esp. "bumps" if, you drain them.. Remember that is PURE poison, if swallowed can make you extremely ill ans can even cause death. Also, they hurt so bad... A great way to drain... A little less painful than rubbing something on top of it, use a sterilized pin/needle and it will natuarally drain, just make sure to collect that poison... A emergency room near me, will do this for u with the use of a hospital syringe and actually draw out the fluid, may be worth a shot to ask them.. They even numbed it first!!

Multiple Remedies

This along w/ Baking Soda and Salt helped. Here is what happened

Tuesday-Friday - Sinus infection, near the end of it on Friday, an abscess tooth popped up, pain started Friday night. Took 2 x 200mg Ibuprofen for pain before bed.

Saturday - Intense pain, gums above tooth hurt to the touch. Minor inflammation, took 2 x 200mg Iburprofen, once at noon, another at 10p. M. Swelling increased before bed.

Sunday - Abscess bubble formed above tooth, intense pain, 2 x 200mg Ibuprofen for pain, once at noon, once before bed. Inflamation increased, spread to side of mouth, under nose and slightly under eye.

Monday - Intense pain again, 2 x 200mg Ibuprofen twice at same times for pain. I read about the garlic treatment and attempted to do it. Held 1/4" piece between gum and cheek. 5 minutes of intense pain, then subsided, held for 30 minutes in total. Felt no more pain in tooth. Abscess bubble increased, and multiple ones formed. Inflammation increased in same areas.

Tuesday - No Ibuprofen today. Did the garlic again for 30 minutes on my drive to work. Again, no pain in my tooth, but pain at bubbles and felt like inflammation was getting worse. Entire left fact hurt to the touch. Attempted to pop bubbles w/ a needle but nothing came out, became scared and almost went to emergency room for penicilin. Heard about a solution to pop abscess. It was taking a cotton ball, putting equal parts of Baking Soda & Sea Salt on bubbles (not on teeth though). First application at 7 p. m. for 20 minutes. Gums had turned white, and pain had increased in area. 2nd application of same at 8 until 10:30. Gums so swollen, it hurt to shove the cotton ball inbetween my cheek and gum. Woke up at 3:30 in the morning, 3 abscess bubbles had all popped, and started draining into my mouth (gross). Instantly rinsed mouth out w/ Sea Salt and Hot Water. Drained bubbles best I could for 10 minutes. Went to sleep.

Wednesday. Woke up at 7. Both abscess bubbles were completely gone (not to mention a bitter taste of poison in my mouth) Rinsed again w/ salt water. Inflammation almost gone (from my left side being so swollen, I could see it from my eye) These two things did wonders for everything and I highly recommend it.

Not saying some should not seek medical attention (I was close to going to the emergency room) But spending $600 to be told what is wrong, as oppose to $20 to solve everything (naturally I might add, minus the Ibuprofen). This is a good solution. Please spread this to anybody suffering from an abscess tooth.
