For me the BHT keeps my blood pressure in healthy zone. Just got back from visit to health care provider. Latest numbers are 130 over 80 whatever that means. Was told that is good numbers. Also told cholesterol numbers very good.
I am a 65 year old and have been smoking cigarettes for 52 of those years. Also: I ran out of BHT a few years back and had high blood pressure. Once I obtained and began using BHT again my blood pressure quickly returned to healthy numbers.
I weigh 190 pounds and take 350 mg of BHT per day with a gulp of water on an empty stomach. That is what works for me....Oscar
Would like to know if anyone knows (or can direct me to a website) any information on my blood pressure and the significance of the readings. My readings always show a top number that is considered high and the bottom number is normal or below. Typical readings will be as follows: 140/80, 130/68, 120/62 depending on time of day. Is this worse/better (or insignificant) than both readings being high. I just started using Apple Cider Vinager w/mother to try and bring top number down to normal. I am a 54 yr. old male with a resting heart rate of approx. 46 bpm and considered to be very athletic. (6'1", 195 Lbs. 34" waist/44" chest and eat a very healthy diet). Thanks in advance for your help!

I read about a machine that you can pay a lot if money for, which helps lower your blood pressure by a breathing technique. I learned this Yoga breathing technique which does the same thing. Breath in, (through nose) half way..12345, hold...12345, breath in rest of way...12345, hold..1-5, Breath out half way through lips, 1-5, hold...1-5, finish emptying lungs as slowly as possible through pursed lips. Do 8 rounds of this. 8 is the Chinese lucky number. It is also the symbol for infinity when turned sideways. The object is to take longer on the exhale than on the inhale. I find that I can lower my BP quite a bit with this method. ...Bill

Approaching the HBP problem from a seemingly different angle, if you seaerch "Buteyko" you will find the work of a Russian who concluded that the issue is caused by excess oxygen taken in by excessive and erratic breathing, which oxygen then becomes free radicals, highly destructive.
The body creates HBP to stop it from burning up from excess oxygen. Compare it to a deep sea diver who has to carefully monitor his intake of CO2 and oxygen. Similarly do we. there is much reading and practices one can do to heal HBP thru correct breathing- not "deep breathing".
I understand that ACV works because the hydrogen protons in it [ pH is best understood as "hydrogen potential power for the number of protons available for dealign with oxygen] .
So increase your hydrogen to counter oxygen, and/or reduce your breathing to where it ought to be, and the need for the body to manifest HBP and many other conditions will vanish.
Manage your breathing and it will drop 40 points quickly.
I've noticed that chewing and swallowing two to four generic Tums (calcium carbonate) results in an almost immediate drop of about 20 to 25 points in my blood pressure. Does this indicate inflammed stomach linings and what diet change would be most effective? Many thanks.
After beginning to have high blood pressure early in pregnancy (not too high, but alarming at 140/90), I had heard that Magneisum might be the key to getting it back down. I was already taking calcium and getting potassium, so it was magnesium that I thought might do the trick. I started consuming 3 squares of 100% cacao baking bar with a little raw honey spread on for taste. The next time I went back for a checkup, my blood pressure was back down to 116/70 and has stayed there. I HIGHLY recommend this tactic. It has also cured my leg cramps I get at night from being pregnant. If I don't have my chocolate, my cramps will come back, so I know it's the chocolate. It's important to spread the consumption of the chocolate throughout the day so that you are not getting too much caffeine in one sitting. I usually have one after breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A great, healthy desert!
Calcium, Magnesium and Potassium
I recently visited the local health food store. I started taking one supplement called Calcium Magnesium Potassium (I won't name the brand name). I have been taking it for about three weeks now. I recently checked by blood pressure at a doctor's visit and it was very normal (124/78). My blood pressure hasn't been this normal in years.
Cayenne Pepper Extract does a better job for High Blood Pressure than the capsules, in my opinion.
Ginger Tea with garlic water will also address the inflammation involved with HBP issues. Using all (3) will give you the long term results you're looking for.
I have had high blood pressure problems and just started taking Cayenne Pepper, half teaspoon of powder in some warm water, my bp is now 116/75! Its miracle stuff! I haven't been in the normal range for years! I highly recommend Cayenne Pepper Powder if you want to naturally lower your bp -- be careful though of the heat rating and the amount you use, start low 35,000 units and work your way up the heat scale slowly. The results are amazing!!
Cayenne is wonderful and it works well for HBP. I take cayenne in a tincture form. I didn't like the pills because when they break up in your stomach..ouch! The tincture can stop a heart attack in 60 seconds with the correct amount. I took 2 drops in a little milk just before my last doctor appt, and when the doc took my BP it was 115/70. It is usually 133/90. Now I take it daily with a drop/day. Buy it online if you can't find it.
I had a heart attack 1 and half years ago. 3 nights ago I experienced pains and was hospitalized and found to be suffering once again with a heart condition. I searched the internet and came across your site. Thank you for an amazing treasure of cures and remedies. I used 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and a tablespoon or two of honey in rather large glass of boiling water. I found the taste really delicious! I swallowed crushed clove garlic with this drink and truly my heart settled almost instantly and my BP is normal! To all heart sufferers, this is an amazing remedy to try, you only benefit from it. I intend having this daily probably for the rest of my life!
My Aunt is 85 weights about 102 pounds, and she is a smoker. She is a strong woman and as I have said before, she can tie her own shoes. The only medicine she is on is blood pressure medicine. When my aunt had a complaint of being dizzy, I took her pressure it was 154 over 93. Her heart rate was 144!
I had her to do the breathing exercises and gave her a magnesium supplement, which helped to lower her pressure and got her heart rate down to 100. However when she arose the next day we had to fight the same battle with heart rates of 138,119,133. Her heart rate would go down with the breathing exercises and slowing creep back up.
She woke up the third morning with a fast heart rate of 144 once again, however her blood pressure was 130/89. But I said this means war! I remembered that in 2020 we used to give her cayenne pepper capsules, this kept her normally high blood pressure on the low side. When she ran out we did not continue it. Someone needed to be there to monitor it. So remembering cayenne pepper, I got the hot sauce bottle out of the cabinet. I put about two tablespoons in a half cup of water with a spoon of molasses. She said this is bitter. So I added a half teaspoon of sugar and she drank the mixture down. Ten minutes later, I took her pressure again, it was 146/84 with a heart of 79. Seventy-nine what a big drop from 144.
Before the day was over her blood pressure went down to 120/66. We took her to the doctor the same day, they gave her an EKG. The doctor said her heart rate was good, but that he would order more test. A week later without giving her anymore cayenne pepper her heart rate was still in the safe zone below 100, her blood pressure has remained good so far as well. So a now and then dose of Cayenne Pepper will be what we use for Auntie.
I am currently on 2 different blood pressure medicines daily and would like to try cayenne pepper to lower my blood pressure and get off these meds. I don't know whether it's better to start with the pepper while taking the meds and see what happens or just not take my meds the day I start using the pepper. Any feedback about this would be greatly appreciated.
It has been a week since I've been using cayenne pepper and also a hypertensive, I must say that the health benefits are out of this world. I take half teaspoon with a quarter coldwater every morning with no side effects. Thanx to all tips about cayenne pepper.
i was wondering about the virgin coconut oil...it was mentioned that it is not recommended for people with high blood pressure, and i was wondering if that applies to the oil applied externally as well as internally? (as in the rubbing of the feet and calves before bed)... because i do not have high blood pressure but my boyfriend does, or used to at least...we have had some success with cayenne pepper (1 tblspn twice a day)...btw he is less prone to lose his temper because i think your temperament and patience is affected by the blood pressure (and vice versa)... so my other question is if you know that your blood pressure is now lowered from taking the cayenne (its been about a month now), must one continue taking it indefinitely? also we have been making kombucha at home and we notice less desire for caffine and more energy, better skin...
we would recommend using silver needle white tea, as the taste is great combined with the kombucha, champagne-like, and it has the more anti-oxidants than black or green tea. thanks, Maria
