Baking Soda

Hi All-

Decided to take baking soda to treat a bad bout of heartburn. Thought to take about 1/3 teaspoon morning and evening. Didn't think it would have any effect on a very large semi-external hemorroid which felt like a small pink finger (yikes! ) and was quite surprised when that darn thing vanished almost overnight! So then thought there must be a connection between the two; heartburn & hemmoroids. Anyway, continued the treatment maybe about a week and that was that pretty much it! Had to share!

Hope it can help others! In good health, Martha

I had bleeding hemorrhoids and I would like to share what helped me. First I feel I must explain that I believe mine came from taking Chromium Picolinate. I took it for about a week and started bleeding. Not just from hemorrhoids but from my nose and I was very tired all the time. Then I discovered that CP can cause anemia in some people. I immediately stopped taking it. It took about a week for the bleeding to stop. What I used during this time is Witch Hazel, Aloe Vera Gel and a 6 inch block. Every time I had a bowel movement I put my feet on a 6 inch block (which really helps move things along! ). Afterwards, I would use baby wipes first, then clean the area well with Witch Hazel. Then I would apply the aloe vera gel. I do have hemorrhoids, I had them before this, but this time I bled every single time I had a BM. These things definitely helped shrink my hemorrhoids and lessened the irritation greatly.

I have been having trouble with bleeding hemorrhoids for the past two years, with increasing frequency and pain. I have tried everything from steroid cream from the doctor, to drugstore cream, coconut oil, probiotics, etc. Then I realized that orange juice and other fruit juices, vinegar, fish oil pills and other vitamins were all making it worse. I have stopped most of them for months, and it helped a bit but not enough. On a hunch, I started drinking one cup of herbal Peppermint tea (tea bags bought at the supermarket) each night for the past 2 weeks and I haven't had any bleeding since and I have no more pain. I am now starting to slowly add some of the things that I have eliminated from my diet and have not had any problems.

I did find on the internet that Peppermint tea is good for hemorrhoids, but they said you need to be careful if you have acid reflux or blood pressure problems. Some sites said it could lower your blood pressure, others said it could raise it. I haven't found any difference but I don't have blood pressure problems. I am hopeful that the tea has healed my hemorrhoids for good and that the tea continues to help. I also hope this helps others with their problem, because I know how painful this can be. Make sure you get Peppermint tea bags and NOT Peppermint oil which will cause more irritation. It is certainly worth a try.

Apply an ointment to the external hemorriod within the first couple of minutes it comes out when it is still small, then use your finger to gently push it back inside. It usually retracts. Definitely watch your diet; white rice will constipate you, avoid alcohol if you can, and eat or take fiber supplements with a lot of water. Taking a fish oil or flax seed oil supplement also helps the stool to glide out easily.

Iodine

Hemorrhoids will sometimes disappear literally ovenight, when SSKI Iodine (20 drops) mixed with Castor Oil or flaxseed oil (one ounce) is rubbed in them at bedtime. It was also found that SSKI alone will do the same job, although it really stings when applied to a hemorrhoid by itself it's better to dilute it.

For hemorrhoids - I have been having good results from taking a cup of strong chamomile tea liberally laced with honey every night. I read that some people had relief from hemorrhoids by eating more honey and also by drinking more chamomile tea, so I figured, why not combine the two? It's been giving me more comfortable morning ablutions. I highly recommend it.

I learned this from an obscure magazine artical which I now cannot find in a doctors office.

At least 60 mg Gingko Biloba twice a day for five days to a week. Should start feeling almost complete relief on day three. If they come back in a few months just repeat the regimin.

I am almost due with my third child and these have been a problem for me since my first - 15 years now. What helps me is to keep clean. No matter what I have to do or where I am, I keep something to stay clean. Even sometimes just a hand papertowel with water will help.

What I have found is that the skin get irritated and broken and when we use the bathroom it gets it dirty and just like dirt in a cut, it will sting and burn. So when I can take a quick shower I do, if not, I will sponge bathe somehow. I never have a problem after this. I never have in 15 years, even now while I am older and two months from having my baby. Hope this helps.

I read that hemorrhoids show up when your liver is unable to process all the toxins, as it is overloaded by them. To help your liver take milk thistle capsules of 250 mgs with each meal, and take one capsule of Alpha Lipoic acid every day. When the liver is OK the hemorrhoids will be gone. It took me about a month, but it worked.

Magnesium Chloride

I bought some nigari at the health food store. Nigari is used as a tofu coagulant and is mainly magnesium chloride. I diluted it with an equal portion of boiling water and store it in a glass spray bottle. When my friend had a hemorrhoid, when there was a time he'd be resting, we sprayed and saturated a small square of paper towel and he applied it to his droid and repeated the next day. One droid was old and raw and it stung a lot Another was new and small. After two days they seemed gone, no longer bothered him.

Now he'll have to change his lifestyle, particular diet and exercise to stop the cause of the droids in the first place. Besides a processed food diet, he sits for long times in his work van and then a long time surfing the net and doing computer art in the evening. So he's going to adopt a more vegetable diet and take breaks to move and circulate his blood better. After all, the body was made to move so move it!

Rutin, B6

I've read everything on this website from the bizarre and ridiculous to methods/products that might actually cure hemorrhoids. I personally have found that 500mg Rutin (which strengthens capillaries) and Vitamin B-Complex do help. Be patient; they can take a while to work

Also, avoid toilet paper. Use WET tissue to clean the area after a BM, the wetter the better. The idea is to rinse off residue without aggravating your sensitive bottom. Blot dry with dry tissue and finish with aloe vera or Witch Hazel. Mild soap is fine but antibacterial products are too harsh. I find that most commercial hemorrhoid preparations cause burning and discomfort. ACV might help but DILUTE it first with at least 50 percent water. Don't put harsh products on your hiney.

Avoid foods and/or drugs that you know make you bleed. OTC and prescription pain relievers are particularly bad. Finally, if you do bleed bright red blood once in a while and you're certain the cause is hemorrhoids, don't panic unless the bleeding becomes copious or you notice blood in your clothing long after a bowel movement. In that case, see your doctor.

Hydrogen Peroxide

About twenty years ago, I got rid of my hemmoroids by applying hydrogen peroxide directly on them with a cloth. I only did it a few times before they were gone. There was a fabulous warm sensation when it touched the open sore. It felt wonderful.

Read Carefully: To cut down on the instance of hemorrhoids, clean yourself with diluted antibacterial soap or soap and water every time you move your bowels. Make sure you leave no residue -- ever. The bacteria from not wiping with soap and water invades the smallest cut in the anal area and the hemorrhoids gradually begin to from, often with an anal fissure. Here's an illustration. If a person serving food got feces on his hand, would you prefer that he wipe the spot with plain dry toilet paper, or wash the spot thoroughly with antibacterial soap before preparing your food? It's the same with your rectal area.

To treat the anal fissue, make a poultice SOAKED IN ALCOHOL out of a piece of a paper towel, apply it to the area where the fissure is or is starting to become painful, indicating the emergence of an anal fissure, and sit on the poultice, rewetting it with alcohol when it dries. Do this for as many days (nights, too) as it takes to rid yourself of the fissure. As soon as you feel the fissure forming (when the rectal area hasn't yet formed a tear, but is "telltale" sore), immediately apply the alcohol soaked poultice. The alcohol will eventually dry out the surrounding skin, forming a superfical scabbing or blistering. Just keep the area immaculately clean by often cleansing with diluted antibacterial soap. The soap doesn't have to be full strength; the idea is to get the rectal area immaculately cleansed when dirty.

I tried the B6, rutin and the 6 inch step and had excellent results within 2 weeks. Had minor hemmorhoids w/fissure on and off for atleast 6 months, nothing else worked, tried the zinc oxide, vit e, acv, vaseline, vicks, witch hazel, listerine, castor oil with no luck. within 2 weeks of daily supplementation of the b6, rutin and the step was all it took for pain, burning, itching and bleeding to subside. Thank you for your information.
