Hydrogen Peroxide, Acidophilus and Folic Acid BV Cure

I have been suffering with bv for about a year.I have been treated with metrogel and clindessen with only temporary relief. I have done 50%hydrogen peroxide and water douche,folic acid 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening,and daily probiotic for about 2weeks. I have not had a reacurrence as of yet. So far all symptoms are gone. I will continue this course of treatment until i have completed all meds. I only did the douche once. I'm so upset my doctor did not suggest this sooner. I ask her about she recomends the folic acid and the probiotic now. When ask why didn't she recomend this sooner i got no response. i will be looking for a new gyn. I had never had a problem with bacterial vaginosis until several months ago. I went to the doctor over it because I didn't know what was going on. First, I was prescribed metrogel which worked wonderfully but months later, it happened again. This time, he prescribed Flagyl, which left a funny taste in my mouth. That didn't work very long either. I was too embarrassed to go back to the doctor again when it came back. I was desperate when I came across this website. I immediately went out and got the peroxide, reusable douche, acidophilous, and folic acid. I douched with 1 part water and 1 part peroxide before bed each night for a week. It has worked like a charm! It's so nice to be able to take care of this myself instead of having to go the the doctor over and over with the embarassment of it. Sometimes there was a little bit of a burning feeling with the peroxide but it wasn't so bad that I wanted to stop using it.

Thank You for this website, I thought after getting a BV reoccurence, and reading other forums about BV that I would have it forever. I was just about to purchase the ebook bv gone forever, until I finally came across your site after searching for days. I had a baby May 16 2008 and after my bleeding had stopped, I noticed that ever so awful odor that comes with the BV. I went for my 6 wk checkup and sure enough had the darn BV AGAIN!!! now breastfeeding I was fearful of taking the metronidazole(generic Flagyl), so I began the home remedy search, after reading all of the treatments on here, I went with what I had in the house, folic acid and acidopholous, I took 3 400mcg folic acid and 1 acidopholous and literally it only took hours for it to start to work, the smell is almost gone! I am going to try the peroxide and water just as a cleansing measure, I was a bit afraid , but after reading even more testimonials I am going to try it. Thank You to everyone for posting!!!

I must start by saying...I love your site. I am 31 and this is the first time that I have ever had BV. I went out as soon as I read all of the messages and got everything I needed, folic acid,acidophilus, and hydrogen peroxide. So far so good it started working immediately.I do have a question. How often do I use the douch? Weekly, Monthly, or just daily till it is gone?

Hi, My name is Amanda. Yesterday I noticed that smell again. It happens all the time, maybe once every month and a half. I went to the doctor's and they had giving me Metro-Gel. It worked great, but it always came back. Sometime I felt like maybe the metro was causing a yeast, or vice-versa. It was either one or the other. They say that washing your v-gina with soup can cause BV.. and I think that was my problem. I just can't help myself. Well I'm in a new relationship, and it will be very embarrassing if he had smelled what I smelled.
Last night, I was going out on a date with him, but I knew that I needed metro-gel. I called the dr but I would need to come in and get checked out so that they can prescribe something to me. That was too much work, needless to say I had a date. So I read the reviews on here, at first I was scared to do it. But I went to the pharmacy right after work, and purchased Folic Acid 400 Mcg ( I took 2, equaling 800 MCG), I also purchased Acidophilus pills ( took 2), and Hydrogen Peroxide everything for less than 10$. I then went home and poured about half a cup of Hydrogen Peroxide into a regular douche bottle and then filled up the rest with equal amount of water. Now, today, there's still no signs of Bv. I took the vitamins once again today (one of each), but no douching. Thank you Earth Clinic.. you guys are awesome. This was my first time using you guys, but def not my last.

All I can say is WOW!! and this is great. I cant believe I finally found something that seems promising. I get bv what seems to be pretty easily, mostly sometimes after sex a few days I will start noticing the fishy smell.I HATE it :( When I go to the Dr. they give me medicine which does work but they give it to me in faith because it hardly ever shows up on tests. Plus going to the Dr. often isnt fun. Starting last night I took 800mcg of Folic Acid, and 2 500million Acidophilus. Just like Ive read here.. almost immediate improvement. I took the same dosage again with lunch and I cant smell anything!! I knew there had to be a more natual cure for this, Ive tried many things that didnt work from ACV to tea tree oil to Garlic. Im only 25 im ready to be done with this. Im planning on trying the 50/50 peroxide 3% & water also tonight just to see if it clears me out some & then maybe after sex too..and keeping on the pills for a while then cutting back some. I want to thank everyone who posted such great comments about this remedie. i am 22 yrs old and have dealt with bv since i was 16 on and off. i cannot count the amount of times i have been put on perscriptions that cure it but usually leave me with a yeast infection its always been a battle until now. i took 800mg of folic acid once a day for 2 days and douced with 1/2 hydrogen proxide 3% and 1/2 water i really didnt think that it was going to work. But within a few hours it was gone. I thought that it was only going to be temporary and that the next day it would reapear but it is now day 3 and everything it peachy no sigh of it.. i cannot thank everyone enough this has been a life saver..

I have suffered with BV for 5 yrs.I have been back and forth to the dr.sending hundreds and hundred of dollars for prescriptions from my dr. I finally decided to look on the internet for a cure because the meds never worked for long. I ran across this site and saw the rave reviews for the folic acid and acidopolous pills as well as the hydrogen peroxide. I ran to the drug store and purchased them yesterday morning. By noon the smell was completely gone and the discharge was too. I will continue this regimen and hopefully it will not return. I am just happy I didnt spend 80.00 on another prescription that doesnt work.Thank You ladies I finally feel and smell clean ..Thank You :)

Suffered from BV for MANY years now; tried EVERYTHING from the doctors over the years & found this site 2 days ago. Bought acidophilus, hydrogen peroxide, & prenatel vitamins for the folic acid. (Around here anything over 1 MG is RX; the vitamins have 800 MCG'S in them.) Do you ladies need a rx for the FOLIC ACID?

I douched with the hydrogen peroxide (2 part HP, 1 part water) & it burned good for about 30 SECONDS but definately worth it.) Am I supposed to do this weekly?)

2 billion active cultures in these acidophilus pills. (I'll update on progress as weeks go by.)

I'm glad you ladies shared your stories, cures... FYI: gargle with a little bit of peroxide before brushing your teeth. It is a miracle whitener. The ONLY reason I was brave enough to try this is because I DO gargle with it however it NEVER burned my mouth.)

I STARTED GETTING BV EVER SINCE I HAD MY SON, ABOUT 10 MONTHS AGO, NOT TO MENTION HAVING YEAST INFECTIONS BACK TO BACK WHILE I WAS PREGNANT. I EVENTUALLY GOT SO TIRED OF THE YUCKIE MEDS THE GYN WOULD PRESCRIBE SO I FINALLY CAME ACROSS THIS SITE, AND ITS HELPFUL. I DID HALF PEROXIDE AND WATER DOUCHE FOR TWO DAYS AND I TAKE (3) 800MCG TWICE A DAY, AND ITS BEEN A WEEK AND IM CLEAN FRESH AND NO BV NOR ANY YEAST INFECTIONS.

Let me first say that I am beyond happy I found this page. I have SUFFERED with BV for 20 years now and I was just about to settle into acceptance. I have cried, tried every cream, pill, gel there is!! I did the peroxide douche for one night. I have been taking 800mg of folic acid (I had it really bad) and the probotics twice a day. This is the third day and the smell is GONE!!! The itch is GONE!!! The discharge is 95% GONE!!! Let the church say AMEN!!!!!

Thank you all for sharing your stories and your methods. I will shout this from the mountain tops from now on. I'm thinking about calling the doctor who told me that I had to learn how to live with BV because nothing could be done. So many women need to know that 30 dollars can cure you for a life time. I plan on taking the folic acid until the day I die.

You ladies are the BOMB!!!

I used a hydrogen peroxide douche only once and it got rid of the BV. For a while I took acidophilus supplements but then I stopped. Now I just buy the liquid acidophilus from the health food store and douche with it about once a month for prevention. It's a little expensive and buttermilk is a good alternative for those of you who don't want to spend a lot of money on it as buttermilk contains live and active cultures. I haven't had BV or any other kind of infection in a very long time. Also, if this method is not working for any of you, please be checked for STD's such as trich, chlamydia, and gonorhea because they commonly have similar symptoms to that of BV.

I have been battling with BV since the birth of my 2nd child 5 years ago. I just got up the nerve to ask my doctor about it last year when my daughter's father broke up with me. He had been making comments about the issue and I was using everything I could think of to get rid of the odor. When I finally talked to my doctor he told me it was BV and it would not have been picked up with my regular pap test. He prescribed Metro gel, and just like everyone else, I took it, got a yeast infection and it came back after having sex again. This has been the worst thorn in my side and very embarrassing to say the least. All the trying to cover it up and using Refresh didn't work. So like all of you, I started looking for other treatments. There are all kinds of websites out there trying to sell you $60.00 "magic" pills to help you but I tried the HYDROGEN PEROXIDE DOUCHE, FOLIC ACID and ACIDOPHILUS. The same day I read about it I went right to the drug store. The douche worked immediately, only problem was trying to have sex a few days later. I was really dry. Anyway that didn't stop me from continuing with the process. Now I still have a small amount of discharge but that is to be expected because I use and IUD as contraception. I use 2/800mcg of Folic Acid, 1/1billion Acidophilus and the 50/50 hydrogen peroxide/water. I have been using it for 2 weeks and I definitely see a difference. It's that time of the month now and I am hoping when it's over the odor has not come back. Thanks to whoever came up with this idea!! I think I may have my sex life back.

I have been suffering from bv for over a year now. I tried the medications'given to me by my doctor and nothing worked. So I as looking for a home remedy on the internet. While searching the web I came across this sight.After reading I went to the store got hydrogen peroxcide 3%, 800 mlg folic acid, and acidophilus. I did the douch last night and took one of each of the pills. I woke up this morning and have no signs of BV. This is the first time in a year that I feel like me. Thank you so much ladies. =)
