How to Cure Candida

Baking Soda
Posted by Mandandi (Gaborone, Botswana) on 04/12/2015
5 out of 5 stars

After reading about the effectiveness of bicarbonate of soda here last Nov (2014); I decided to follow the advice to take 1/8 teaspoon in a glass of water morning and evening for candida.

Well, that worked well for me. There were 3 months of die-off but thereafter the candida load has clearly reduced. My tongue has more pink in it. Depression is gone. Insomnia is gone. Jock itch, armpit rashes, itchy eyes, brain fog, athlete's foot are all gone. Only toe-nails are still deformed but they are slowly clearing.

I will take the soda till my tongue is pink.

For the past two weeks, I have also been doing herbal enemas too - 3 cloves of crushed garlic, a leaf of aloe vera in a cup of water then adding up more water to make a 2 litre enema solution. That has helped me I realize. My colon was blocked, and it still is I think. I will carry on with the enemas till the candida has cleared.

HI U BILL, , , , , , , , as you know I's jus smart enough to be dangerous. I think this is a candida thing, but I have been doing your H2O2 in my ears as well as ozone ear insufflation. At first, my ears would shed lots of stuff. It is becoming less with time and treatments. What is happening?

Am I making progress? When I used ozonated olive oil all heck took place. That is some potent stuff. I won't do that again until I diminish this fungus. Please explain to me what is taking place.

As you know I'm doing my rife machine for my cancer protocol, could that be helping?

Hi ORH. I was interested in your recent post (reply to Bill)when you described your remedy for jock itch, I've seen many ladies use the toilet paper remedy for sweat and itching down below. I was a district nurse years ago and this remedy helped ladies when they were immobile/bed ridden etc. after bathing, keeping them fresh, and men surely would benefit from this. You say you do. Please keep on with your imformative down to earth posts; they are so enjoyable to read, Joy

Coconut Oil
Posted by Pam (Uk) on 04/06/2015

Bill, I would be very careful about your statement "VCO contains caproic acid and D, L-2-hydroxyisocaproic acid is just an isomer of the same." I remember from my high school chemistry that isomers can behave very differently, and a quick search on wikepedia reveals "Isomers do not necessarily share similar properties, unless they also have the same functional groups". I cook with VCO, and consume it, but right now my systemic infestation with candida is off the scale and nothing is effective anymore, (my circulation has got dramatically worse too, sign of arterial and cardiovascular plaque) so you can bet they have boifilm protection.

There is a coconut oil cleanse that completely starves the candida in the book the coconut oil cures, if you are interested. I have considered it but not sure I can handle it until working up to ingesting that quantity of oil before attempting it.

Hi, I have a question about sodium bicarbonate use for candida. It's well known that sodium bicarbonate is very alkaline and helps to balance PH balance for acidic person, however, when you ingest it, it turns your digestive system alkaline, which will make favorable environment for the candida.(It's different from making your system alkaline.)

I'll appreciate your explanation on this. Thank you.

Throat Clearing
Posted by Mary (Yutan, Ne) on 02/24/2015

Hello, I am wanting to ask Bill Thompson a question. I just received his book in the mail a few days ago. I have started doing the borax today. My question that I wanted to ask him was can candida cause me to have a constant throat clearing? Also will the borax help to get rid of the throat clearing. I thought it would be best to ask him since he seems to know so much about candida. Thank you for passing this message along to him.

This is all so very thorough, scientific and thoughtful. I can commiserate with much of what you have went through both in diet approach and the basic mental aspect of the candida overgrowth condition. I would, however, wish that more people would more comprehensively explain the various tenets of candida protocol, in particular, the role of fasting in candida treatment. I don't know if you covered this in your last post, but judging by your in depth coverage of candida, you will probably know what I'm talking about. Apparently, the yeast can utilize ketones about as well human beings can. If this is the case, that would make sense that a little carbohydrate with your meals would be a good idea. However, when this is true, wouldn't the same go for sweet potato? Who could argue that sweet potatoes, for instance, aren't as nutritious or as beneficial as say, white rice? Between the beta caroteen, the minerals in general, the vitamin A, the prebiotic fiber, etc, potatoes and sweet potatoes appear to be a "go to" carb. What say you?

Clogged Ears

I am back here to earth clinic to ask for help. About a month ago, I read the information about candida (so much information and somewhat overwhelming). Anyway I have adopted the diet - have cut out all grain and sugar, little carbs and started a few of the supplements recommended. I do feel better and will be continuing with this, but am having a hard time with my ears being blocked and affecting my hearing and balance. Why does it seem like I had less blocked ears on my former poor diet than on improved diet? I think I have a long standing bacterial/viral/fungal/biofilm in my ears? Many years ago I would use the foam earplugs at night and unfortunately, not knowing any better then, I kept reusing the same ones and may have introduced fungus from them being dirty. Can I get to the problem in the inner ear somehow? I am afraid to put anything in my ears until I get some good information on what to do. The inside of my ear canal feels very sticky most of the time.

I have also cut out fruit from my diet. Can you have any at all like berries or apples?

I would also like to pass along something I found on internet search for constipation that has so far made a big difference for the better for me. I use 1 tablespoon slippery elm powder and 1 tablespoon psyllium powder mixed with a cup of water and drink immediately. Then I drink 2 more cups of water after that and try to drink extra water during the day. There is a youtube video for this if I can find it again I can give the link. Hope this can help someone as it is helping me. Good health to all.

HI U AMY, , , , , , , , , I too have candida and in my ears. Probably no one has responded because candida is a long lifetime chore and no one has an instant solution. For the long term ..... follow Ted and Bill's protocol. For the short term I spray my ears with Dr Tichenor's Antiseptic.

https://www.drtichenor.com/about/history

It has been used in the South since the Civil War. It is essentially grain alcohol and peppermint, but don't sell it short. All these posts on Jocky itch etc., have to take a back seat to this brew. It cures lots of stuff. Yep, it burns.

I fuss at folks for making demands, but your plea broke my heart. You were not being ignored by the EC folks, but Candida is TOUGH CITY , and there is no easy solution.

Dr Tichenor's is hard to find anymore. It can be found on the internet.

Wish you well ......======ORH========

thank you ORH. I appreciate your kind reply!

I looked up your recommendation on amazon. Is it the mouthwash antiseptic you are refering to? Do you dilute it to spray in your ears? Wish you well in your battle with candida. I have to wonder if mine is fungal form now. I fear losing my hearing and I am not 60 yet. I will try anything to save it and am determined to win!

Hi Amy...It is a fact of life that whenever you take any good anti-candida protocol -- initially you will always feel awful(to some degree) before you feel better. These are called Herx reactions and will vary from person to person. This Herx reaction is unavoidable because whenever you kill huge numbers of candida then various poisons are always released directly into the blood. This causes stress on the liver to get rid of them -- hence you fell awful.

Similarly, heavy metal build-up is also involved in candida issues. So when you detox, then you will similarly get heavy metals dumped into the blood -- with consequent further stress on your liver to get rid of it and the result is the same -- you feel awful. There can be many other symptoms arising from both the Herx and detox effects -- too numerous to mention -- but these should all subside and disappear as you successfully get rid of the candida and heavy metals from your body in time.

Hi Robert Henry...Interesting what you say about Tichenor's Antiseptic -- for sure peppermint is a strong anti-fungal and should work well against the candida.

The remedies I have used for ear problems involve either using drops of Lugol's iodine and water or just using plain store-bought 1% hydrogen peroxide on its own. I simply use a dropper and fill up the ear carefully. Then I would hold it there for a minute or two in my ear. These remedies are pain-free but the HP will tickle like crazy because of the bubbling(proof positive that it is killing the bad stuff in your ears). With both these remedies, I would then empty out my ears and that's it. I do not wash my ears out -- I leave it there to continue its good work.

When I had serious candida issues some while ago, I also had awful wax build-up problems in my ears. Have to admit that this problem must have also had something to do with my systemic candida problems too. The ear wax itself also smelled awful and loads of it. I used the above simple remedies to clear them out for good(including the wax). Now I never have anymore smelly wax build-up in my ears and my ears are clear of fungus.

Candida Detection
Posted by Robert Henry (Ten Mile, Tn.) on 01/13/2015

HI U GOOD FOLKS DOIN, , , , , I, like many on this site have systemic candida and look to Bill and Ted for counsel.

I think I've found a very simple way to determine the extent the candida. All know that this fungus shows up on nails, feet and crotch. It also shows up in your ears and can affect your hearing.

For the past weeks or so, I've coated my ear canals with Ozonated Olive Oil and it is hard to imagine the amount of skin peeling off. I am assuming this is fungus.

Bill, can you contribute to this. I know a gut check is not a reliable test because everyone has gut candida and most allopathic doctors don't even do this test because it is difficult to quantify.

Hello. I am wanting to start taking Ted's LIME BICARBONATE FORMULA. I was wanting to know how much baking soda to add to the squeezed lime. It just says add until the fizzing stops. I don't want to add too much baking soda so can someone please tell me how approximately how much to add? Thank you

Hello Bill /Ted

I have candida and I am on a protocol from my Chiropractor that includes a strict diet and remedies that includes Myconil for the candida and I also started with gravity fed colonic irrigation. We know I have it because of the white tongue, rash that happens under my breasts and the itching in and around my vaginal area, and mucus that comes out when I have a colonic.

I started with 10 drops 3x per day of the Myconil, and did that for 3 months I am now up to 20 drops 3x per day. I came across your site by accident and have been reading but am confused on what recipe to use for the candida, and If I can use this in conjunction with the Myconil.

If you think it is ok to use your recipe also I will show it to my Chiropractor and see what he thinks also since I respect his opinion.

Just so you know, I did read your baking soda recipes and I didn't see any heading for Candida but read comments referring to what you said you used but no specifics.

Thank you for your time in answering and trying to help, this fungus is horrible!

Sincerely, Leslie

Lemon
Posted by Marcin (Toronto, Canada) on 12/28/2014

Hello Bill,

In your book you advise against eating fruits, especially citrus fruits, because they contain "citric acid that uses up alkaline body bicarbonates during digestion".

However, the juice of lemon is used in alkalizing remedies that you recommend to alkalize the body.

Could you explain this contradiction?

Moreover, after drinking lemon juice, I get UTI and pain in my back, and I wonder whether is this some kind of die-off. I do not experience the same reaction after antifungals such as VCO.

B Vitamins

Bill, I have a question on supplemental yeast.

There is bakers yeast, brewers yeast and nutritional yeast. How do you know which to use and can any be used if you suspect candida condition. I am most interested in taking one for the b vitamins they may have. I don't seem to tolerate supplemental b vitamins in ANY form and also know that my digestion is better if I can cut out all grain. So now I have trouble with insomnia and wondering if b's can help?

Thank you for any help.

Take a multivitamin as a base only. For sleep, take calcium/ magnesium pill2 of them at 250. This will stop any cramping and the calcium will hep you sleep. Do not drink or eat any dairy products. You will make things worse do not even drink kefir. It still is a dairy product with added probiotics.

Lugol's Iodine
Posted by Cleopatra (Houston, Texas) on 12/04/2014

Hi Bill,

I have been dealing with Candida for over a decade and just bought your book. I have many questions for you, but will start off with:

I'm fearful that taking the Lugol's iodine will conflict with the Armour Thyroid I'm taking. Would you suggest not taking both at the same time? Or will they not affect one another? I just dealt with having too high a dosage of Armour and it was hell, but I'm afraid to completely go off Armour. Your thoughts are appreciated!

Best, Cleo

Lugol's Iodine

My English is very poor for the writing, not for reading. I am from Brazil and I read an article in the Nexus magazine where a doctor cured a pacient with severe Candida desease with a lot of Lugol. The artcle was about some wrongs in current Medicine or something like that.

Dr, Tulio Simoncini, from Rome says that Candida causes a lot of trouble in the human body and says Sodium Bicarbonate is the solution. But dont be afraid, the human body is very strong also. Put a lot of coconut, coconut oil, Palm oil, garlic and Neem in your diet. About Neem, You can see in YuTube. See, also about Pau Darco, a great enemy of cancer and Candida. See also about Propolis Thank You, Earth Clinic and everybody

Thank you both.

Last two questions: 1. My nutritionist is pushing kelp over Lugol's; how do I explain why Lugol's is superior to Kelp when fighting Candida?

2. Bill, which are you in favor of: purchasing the Niacin and B50 Complex as separate supplements or purchasing the ATP Co factors (which I believe contains both)?

Multiple Remedies
Posted by Cj (Texas, US) on 11/24/2014

Ted/Bill/EC,

When using STS, Methylene Blue, turpentine (Georgia version), sodium bicarb, trisodium phosphate, iodine, and borax...is there any general guidance on how to time taking these? IE, I know from drugs dot com there might be interaction between iodine and MB. I also know that turpentine should be taken on its own at night, so that means STS and turpentine are taken separately on different nights. Any other helpful advice? Main goal is candida killing, hoping the candida is what is causing my hypothyroid/migraines/brain fog.

Multiple Remedies
Posted by Bill (San Fernando) on 11/24/2014

Hi Cj...Just to also mention and make clear that both hypothyroid issues or candida problems can both cause brain fog, lethargy, tiredness etc for different reasons. Generally when people have serious candida issues they are usually hypothyroid as well. But this is really a chicken or egg argument. The point being that the anti-candida protocol that I advise should address both these problems due to the LI content.

Multiple Remedies

Hello Bill-

Why is it bad to mix borax & iodine? I have been doing this and now I'm worried.

SAM

Multiple Remedies
Posted by Bill (San Fernando) on 11/25/2014

Hi Sam...The reason lugol's iodine should not be taken with borax is that neither Ted from Bangkok nor Walter Last, in their own borax protocols, have ever recommended adding lugols iodine as well to the borax solution. In the past, I have tried to find out why online and the only thing that I can figure is that as the borax and LI pass through the stomach the acidic HCL might catalyze or cause a reaction between the borax and LI. I also suspect that it is the molecular iodine component of LI(not the potassium iodide component) that is reactive with borax, since Ted has also recommended using just potassium iodide or SSKI together with borax on EC.

I think Ted would probably be best at answering this one, since he is a biochemist.

Turpentine
Posted by Conner (United Kingdom) on 09/11/2014

Hi, recently, well today, I've came across Turpentine for Candida. Would this be safe for an 18 year old to consume and if so how much should I take? Here is what I have, which may or may not help:

  • white tongue
  • psoriasis on scalp/forehead
  • brain fog
  • strained eyes / losing vision!
  • on my left leg, by the shin, I get muscle spasms
  • irregular BM
  • very tired

Thank you so much.

Turpentine
Posted by Wydo (Ca) on 05/07/2016

Turpentine definitly works. It works in multiple ways. One is that it breaks up bio-films but there are other things that do that too. I found this article that names a number of things that work that can be added to Bill's protocol. I am wondering if anyone else has tried any of them?

I've tried some of them in the past but I didn't know about bio-films then and I think the turpentine works through out the body. I am going to try the turpentine in nose spray because if you have any candida in the mucus of the sinuses then a little drip down the throat will restart up the candida in the intestines.

Antibiotic Side Effects
Posted by Brad (Elizabeth, US) on 08/21/2014

Antibiotics are a good tool to fight bacteria only... Never take them if possible... The major side effects of taking antibiotics is your entire immune system is compromised. Good and bad bacteria is destroyed. The bacteria that usually causes the problem is Candida albicans which causes oral thrush and yeast infection.. Men are just as susceptible as woman for yeast infections. Apple cider vinegar is a good remedy for oral thrush but rinse or brush teeth to offset the acid which might cause your teeth to lose enamel covering.
