How to Cure Candida

Prebiotics

Hi, my post is more for chronic yeast sufferers.

Apple cider vinegar is great and I wish I knew about 6 years ago maybe my yeast infections wouldn't have gone chronic if I CUT THE SUGAR and drank ACV.

One thing I learned through this site that truly helped was prebiotics. Prebiotics are just as important as probiotics. Main difference? Prebioctics they help your colon "treat itself" and stay strong against infections. (Please do your own research on it)

Grapefruit Seed Extract liquid (any brand) cleans out your body and cheap you only take a few drops so the bottle lasts for a long time.

It is important that your doctor follows your progress every step of the way, regardless of how you decide to treat yourself. It feels good when the doctor says "whatever your doing keep at it". Here is the list of stuff I rotate through (it's been 6 months since my yeast infection, I used to get them every month), you need to reasearch this stuff , see what works and keep safe dosages.

  • ACV (pills if you can't bare with the taste)
  • Prebiotics (will use this forever to keep my colon/body strong) this way the infection will reach my forbidden fruit.
  • Grapefruit Seed Extract Liquid (if I notice a change in "mucus" I drink this in OJ)
  • Probiotics (carefull some of them need to be refrigarated)
  • Folic acid (good for general va-jay-jay health)
  • Pau d'arco (I make tea, but it is also in pill form)

less strong then Grapefruit seed extract liquid mentionned above. But still cleanses your body.

I am currently suffering from all the symptoms that matches a candida overgrowth, all starting from taking 2 week course of anti biotics after being sick. Symptoms started to get worse, and now I have foggy brain and confusion, eye floaters decreased concentration, abdominal pain and diarrhea. I am not sure how to confirm if it is a candida overgrowth, as doctors here do not believe of it. I am an 18 year old male, generally fit but these past 4 months has been miserable with my health getting worse. Please do let me know what I can do. It would be great if I could contact Mr. Ted.

Steve, I posted the spit test for candida some time ago. Look under the ailments section for candida. There is so much useful info there.

Hi Steve... You can confirm whether you have candida by doing the Spit Test. Just Google "Candida Spit Test" to see how to do it.

The other way to confirm for sure whether you have candida is to take William Crook's Candida Questionnaire. This works off a points system and will help to confirm candida if you have it:

William Crook's Candida Questionnaire

Here is Ted's remedy for candida: https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/candida_questions.html#Question_4405

If you have problems getting Ted's supplements -- you should be able to get most of them from a shop selling chemicals called Vittyasom Ltd in Radjadamnearn Rd (near the winged monument) near the palace in Bangkok.

There is also another remedy for candida problems shown on EC -- lower down in this post stream: https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/candida2.html#BILLS

You should also try and strictly follow the anti-candida diet that is recommended in the above link as well.

Cloves

Cloves for Candida: I have had very good results by adding a lot of ground cloves (spice) to my beverages and foods. While many other things also help candida, (biotic silver, probiotics, etc. ) I haven't seen too much information re cloves, so I thought I would share this. Cloves help to kill any parasite eggs within the body, also making them helpful in this regard as well.

CANDIDA with complications/ heart palpitations / sleep apnea: Good day, I have emailed Ted a week ago but have not yet received an answer. I would like to get some feedback from the forum on the Methylene blue causing extreme dizziness and the insomnia / extreme fatigue issue / sleep apnea issue which he has for more than 2 years.

We have identified that Methylene Blue causes the extreme dizziness, but I'm not sure why. Should he stay off from it completely? MB has so many benefits (I'm using it myself) and want to know if he can start using it again at later point in time.

My son has had Candida for 15plus years. He started below remedy about 9 days ago. I believe he has systemic candida. The last 3 yrs he has difficulty sleeping with symptoms of sleep apnea. He hasn't been tested for sleep apnea yet, but he also stops breathing while awake for +/- 20 seconds which is followed by difficulty swallowing and has to drink water.

Extreme chronic fatigue due to lack of sleep, irregular heartbeat / palpitations are current symptoms. He also started to get pains around the heart. After a week on the candida remedy, he is feeling more tired, but of more concerns is that the dizziness and brainfog has increased as well.

He is currently taking:

  • Alkalizing formula: Lemon with BS and BS in the evening before he goes to bed
  • Lugols Iodine : 5% mouth wash 3x per day
  • Cream for Candida rash around mouth : Coconut Oil with Lavender essential oil
  • Borax- 1/8 to 1/4 tspn in one litre water
  • Camelia Sinensis Drops: (Green tea extract) 10-15 drops x 3
  • SOLAL anti-parasite ( 6 capsules per day containing Golden seal root (Hydrastis Canadensis) 400mg, Wormwood (above ground parts) (Artemisia absinthium) 500mg, Pau D'Arco Inner Bark (Taheebo tabebui) 500mg, Black Walnut Hull (Juglans Nigra) 1000mg ) He has been using this for 3 weeks.. There's a week left to complete the course.
  • Methylene Blue 0. 1% 4-6 drops 2x daily
  • Vitamin C
  • Magnesium Chelate 450 mg
  • Zinc gluconate
  • Selenium
  • Vitamin B3 nicotinamide 100mg 3x p.d.
  • Milk Thistle with dandelion
  • Molobdenum: He is not using this due to difficulty obtaining in quantities more than 10mcg. It's also combined in general vitamin products.

I would appreciate it if you could review the above remedies he is currently taking and advise if we are on the right track, and if you believe that the symptoms mentioned I.E. Heart palpitations, sleeping problems, etc could be linked to the Candida and proper remedy for sleep problems. I am especially worried about his heart and increased dizziness.

Your valuable insight and advice would be highly appreciated. Greatest gratitude.
Maggi

Hi Maggie, I feel your pain. It is so sad to see a mom go through all that you are going. But don't give up! Candid can be beaten. It can cured completley. As far as the remedies you have listed, I don't see anything wrong with it. Some of them kill the candida and some are immune boosters. May be some of the more knowledgeable bloggers will cast their opinion on it. Don't give up! Your son will be healed completely. Have faith. Trust in God.

Hi, a very interesting website and I would like to make a comment. I am 65 and have spent thousands of pounds over the last 14 years on alternative nutritionists, Doctors, etc etc, but no one has yet cured my candida problem and there is loads and loads of other experts out on the various web pages and even on earth clinic who all more or less say the same thing: no sugar, alkalise, etc, etc, but has anyone looked at Dr L Wilson's web page and seen the connection between copper body toxicity and persistant candida that keeps coming back every year, in particular in our wet winters in the UK with lots of mold spores around the gardens etc? Well, I don't want to live in a hot dry climate like the Sahara Desert or spend the rest of my life not being able to eat a cake or some fruit now and then, so what's the answer, is Dr. Wilson correct?

Hi Pete... It is most unfortunate that you have spent so much money looking for a cure for your candida. I know that most doctors have both a bad record and a bad approach to both diagnosing and treating candida so I can understand your frustration. Even some healers don't understand candida and recommend the wrong protocols.

Some years ago I also had the systemic or fungal form of candida and cured it myself using remedies from this site. Since this time I have studied candida quite deeply. As you also mention, the problem with some candida treatments is that after your "cure" the candida keeps coming back. I am currently writing a book on candida and have been going over some old research. The beginning of my book does its very best to dispel some of the myths and bad thinking that still persists concerning the treatment of candida. Here are some of the myths and bad thinking concerning candida:

* "Candida is just a yeast." Well, yes and no. Candida is well known to be dimorphic -- it can exist in two different states as two different organisms with completely differing structural, locational and behavioural characteristics. The yeast is a saprophyte that feeds off dead organic matter so, consequently, this form resides mainly in intestines of the host. The fungal or mycelial form is a true parasite that feeds more directly off the host itself, with completely differing feeding habits where it also can live and grow in any internal region of the body -- including the blood, tissues and organs of the body. This research fact also gives rise to many of the other myths that I'm about to mention. This also makes candida a much more difficult organism to defeat.

* "If I can get rid of the candida in my intestines then I will be cured". Very wrong. If candida is dimorphic and if its fungal or disseminated form can exist and spread happily into other internal regions of the body besides the intestines -- then, even if you manage to get rid of the yeast form in the intestines for awhile -- the fungal form in other parts of your body (that you have not killed) will just re-infect and spread back into the intestines again. Hence you have made very little progress in curing your candida -- which keeps returning. This means that in any cure to get rid of candida -- you will, in effect, have to target both the yeast and fungal forms in your cure strategy. If you don't do this --the candida will keep returning.

*"No matter what I try topically to cure my localized uterine candida problem -- it always comes back again". I have read this so many times in health blogs!! This again is completely bad thinking and a bad cure strategy that completely forgets or ignores that candida is a dimorphic organism. So if topical remedies for uterine candida or fungal skin problems or fungal sinus problems or localized ENMT candida problems dont work, then isn't it reasonable to conclude that all the localized candida problems here are all caused by the disseminated or fungal form inside your body and that these localized expressions of candida are merely direct symptoms of the deeper, internal and body-wide candida infection? So the topical cure strategy will never work and so your localized candida problem will just keep coming back again and again -- therefore that's why you must first cure the internal systemic candida problem to stand any chance of curing your localized candida problem.

* Candida manufactures and hides in biofilms and is able to hide from the body's immune system defences in this manner. What's more candida is well known to have wide and myriad associations with other diseases like IBS, Crohns Disease, Colitis, Lyme disease, Morgellons -- on and on ad infinitum. In several pieces of research, autopsies of cancer sufferers were examined to see what the percentage candida infections were in those who had died from cancer. They found that 80% of all those cadavers examined had candida. This was also later verified by other independent research. Similar results were apparent with people who had fibromyalgia -- 80% of the people examined had candida. The reasons for all these myriad association would seem to be that candida is so good at lowering the immune systems defences -- so that other bacteria are normally always involved in the candida problem as well. Also, candida's biofilms are well know to be used by foreign bacteria to help give them cover against the body's immune system. This, again, makes candida, with all its apparent pathogen associations, extremely hard to defeat.

* Use of Antibiotics. See The Antibiotic Syndrome.

* Bad Diet. Like it or not, when people ask the inevitable question on why or how they got candida in the first place -- the answer, as the greatest reason, has to be because of the poor food and diet that person has eaten for the last few decades. What other explanation is there ?

I have also read many blogs where doctors refuse to even accept that candida is the problem. Many lay-people also seem to treat candida problems as no more difficult to cure than the common cold or flu. Their non-effective strategies constantly reflect this -- so just adopting a simplistic cure strategy of taking two pills in the morning and a couple of pills in the evening will certainly not cure your systemic fungal candida problem. You will have to try harder than that. Here is a very good site that will open your eyes and shock or surprise many people concerning candida and other fungi's widespread ability to attack every region of the human body:

The Fungal Doctor

Lastly, having helped many people with their own candida problems, I have also discovered that the greatest possible enemies to any candida cure are: lack of understanding, inconvenience and pure indulgence.

This is the 1st site that I have found with information. I got tested for allergies about 4 years ago. I was told that I was allergic to Candidia Albicans. I have yet to find a doctor what to do for that. I very rarely gt sick 1 or 2 times a year but any time I take antibiotics or get run down I get thrush from the candidia. The doctors have give me Diflucan but 3 months later the candidia overgrowth is back. I would appreciate any tips or ideas of what I can do. I have tried limiting my sugar, eating healthy and other things that I have read. Thanks.

Candida Cleanse

Hi there, I decided to do a Candida cleanse before embarking on the GAPS diet - using a product called C____. I have had chronic eczema/skin issue and whenever I eat wheat (for sure) and other things (though not sure what) it flares up. I only ever get it on my hands and wrists and it is a red raging wrash that looks like my hands and wrists have been bound - it is literally like wearing red gloves. It is eczema like in the dryness and other eczema symptoms (I have had eczema diagnosed but figured myself it links to my chronic digestive issues). The strange thing is, however, I have always wondered why a toxic reaction would just take place on my hands and wrists. It is definitely not atopic (i.e. from physical contact with something). I plan to do a parasite cleanse next then liver. However - when I take these candida tablets my left leg swells up a few hours later. I have eliminated other sources and it just started when I increased the dose of the cleanse. It is totally painless and goes away the next morning after drinking lots of water with lemon, kelp and cranberry supplements. Could this possibly be a reaction to the Candida cleanse? I have not found anything about it online whatsoever. Any thoughts would be so very much appreciated. I love this website!!

An insight summary of candida:

If you have White tongue from a probable Candida Yeast, and you found out or read on this post that an antigungal worked for a person-X and it didnt work for another person-Y, this means that person x had a mild beginners outbreak of candida or may be watching their diet; and Person-y has had Candida for a long time and getting rid of it is very possible but not easy. Because with Candid yeast Advanced, it is more important to not eat the wrong food than eating the right suuplements.

This means that while on a candida special diet the first week and you eat one wrong food eg sugar, or a candy bar, or white rice or bread, you enpower/fuel the candida and you have to start all over again. You need 2 to 3 weeks on average to get rid of it and you still have to watch for diet for a few months afterwards and slowly introduce whole grain products that are not GMO and organic. And hey you have a natural symptom checker that turns white. Please take this condition seriously because once it manifests it becomes like a cancer to get rid off. Then you might have to go on a full month of special diet or more dpending how long youve had your candida.

NO matter what supplement or treatment you are taking, if you are eating the wrong food, you cannot get rid of the candida. Its similar to Hpylori in agressiveness and resiliance for it also wreaks havoc in the immune system affecting digestion, hormones, blood, respiratory, liver, Nerves and much more.

What you cannot eat is anything with wheat or mosy grains, meaning no bread, no rice , NO GLUTEN FOOD OR ANYTHING CONTAINING SUGAR including sweet fruits, no dairy what so ever as lactose intollerance follows gluten intollerance in most people. No nuts, ony hulled walnuts, and almonds soaked in h202. NO supermarket, junk food, or fast food. Alcohol slows healing. The negative thing about coffee, is that if you are used to drinking coffee everday, then it wont do you much good to continue as it messes with your natural hormone cycles. Like natural cortisol production.

Potatoes should only be eaten in this way every other day:(the kanj recipe) peel the potatoes thick after washing them properly with h202, or clay or Apple Cider Vinegar etc. And when are you peeling them, peel it thick. That is to say, the peels should have and half a centimeter of potatoe flesh attached to it. Discard the core of the potatoe or make puree or give it away. It is the thick peels of this potatoe that you can eat. Marinate them with garlic and/or: turmeric basil thyme rosemary, spice coconut oil or cold pressed sessame oil. And put in oven until done but not to over cooked. This is high in potassium, do this every other day and this way you can eat 3 potatoe peels with lunch instead of one filling potatoe.

You can eat any Organic meat/beef, fish, chicken, sea food, turkey, or any edible anima for that matter, just as long as you cook it right, no bad oils, no frying, no bad sauce. Vegetable soup, salads everyday. Flax seeds, sun flower seeds, any vegetable. Esp pumpkin, zuchini, onion, garlic, dark greens sprouts, But no beans, except mung bean sprouts and not much of it)For fruits: you can eat green apples, pineapple, avocados, (mango and papaya, the greener the better) limes, figs, dates 2 a day. Carrot juice is vgood. Veg juice is best. Soda b and borax and h2o2 and clove oil and coconut oil and colloidal silver are all very effective when taken 5 or 6 or even 7 times a day. (3 times in the morning every hours , and 3 times in the evening every hour for 3 hrs for example) remember no sugar or gluten or wheat. Do this for 1 to 2 weeks and you will be done with candida. But take probiotics along the way. 10 billion minimum. open a capsule in cup of water one hour before food.

A word of caution: Many people that have had candida for a long time have a lowered immune system and are succeptible to other bacteria or fungi. Bacteria such as Hpylori should be checked for with an IGG blood test. And if you have hpylori or would like a more complete list of food or very effective supplements to take then check out my previous post on Hpylori posted by Frank from lebanon. It is estimated that 50 - 65 % of the general population have hpylori. NO wonder everyone is sick. Hpylori hijacks your immune system.

Other mycotoxins should be taken care of if you take about half a spoon of borax a day added to a 1. 5 litres of water, and you can add 1 spoon of 3% h2o2 to this mixture for better results.

Needless to say that making sure you get enough vitamin d is essential. 10, 000 IU a day minimum when treating. Magnesium chloride and zinc and so is: COQ10 SLENEIUM AND LOTS OF VITAMIN E AND ESPECIALLY VITAMIN C FOOD WILL HELP YOU DETOX LIKE PARSLEY. SPINACH TWICE A WEEK IS VGOOD AND EVEN BETTER IS RAW GOAT LIVER OR SHEEP LIVER OE EVEN CHICKEN LIVER IF NO BEEF AVILABLE. LIVER EVEN SLIGHTLY COOKED IS A SUPER FOOD AND WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH MANY b VITAMINS NECESSARY TO PROMOTE GOOD BENEFICIAL BACTERIA. YOU ALSO HAVE TO EAT FOOD RICH IN VITAMIN k, AS VITAMIN K HELPS YOUR BODY BUILD GOOD FLORA. BROCCOLI LETTUCE KALE ARE HIGH IN VIT K. Also drink lots of water and never over eat. Chew properly.

Remmebr to alkalize and always flush toxins out of body, by doing weekly colon cleanses and drink lots of water, take fiber or granulated lechitin. Slippery elm is also vgood to repair damage done by the candida. So it castor oil by only take one small spoon a day for 4 days. And rest 3 weeks if you want to do it again.
for the liver: milk thistle, dandelion, lemon & olive oil taken first thing in the morning , if your not taking sodium bicarbonate.

Note: take borax for a week, then rest for a week.

Sorry my random thinking is a bit unorganized but most of the info you need is here.

Ted and Bill have good alkalizing and antifungal remedies that you can also benefit from.

questions are welcome. you can email me at mido2k(at) hotmail.com to notify me if you posted a question for me on earthclinic and I will answer as soon as possible. Best regards, Franky

Candida Test
Posted by Sweat Pea (Somewhere, Usa) on 11/21/2012

I have been reading so many posts on EC about candida infections that I found it very curious no one has posted the simple spit test to find out if you actually HAVE an overgrowth of candida. My journey into natural cures began about 3 years ago when I was given a book about natural cures that they don't want you to know about. Many of you know the book I'm talking about. I read it cover to cover as suggested in the book itself and my eyes were opened to the deception and brainwashing I have been exposed to for years. Big pharma is not the answer to a huge majority of what we call medical problems. It's mainly the problem to additional problems.

I read about how antibiotics can lead to a full blown candida overgrowth that gradually works its way up your body and even into your lungs causing asthma. Needless to say, a light bulb went on! I realized that all the prescription drugs were NOT HELPING! I knew when I took Albuteral it was making my lungs weaker. Then add Advair and steroids, my health got worse by the week. I did a the candida spit test and it revealed that I had a very bad case of it. That's when I bought a candida detox that is at health food stores and on the internet. After completing it my asthma was gone! Gone! I was breathing free and easy! No more gasping for air in the middle of the night! That was more than 2 years ago.

So this is the spit test - When you get up in the morning you simply spit in a clear glass of water (like an 8 oz glass), as much spit as you can spit into it. The glass should be clear and glass, not plastic. Don't eat or drink anything before the test, it must be the first spit of the day. Then simply wait about 2 minutes and look at the glass. If you see a lot of stringy things hanging down into the glass that indicates a candida overgrowth. My glass was shocking, tons of stuff hanging down. When I tested recently I had nothing hanging down at all. If you want to get rid of candida, first make sure that's what the problem is, it's just so easy! I would be glad to answer any questions anyone has about this. Getting rid of terrible asthma has truly changed my life and I take NO prescription drugs today. NONE! Please try the spit test and post your results, I'd love to hear about it! Thanks!

Lisa: Thanx for the post & link.

Bill from Philippines diagnosed me, from afar, correctly as gut issues. Not like I was unaware, but didn't realize the extent of the involvement ---until a couple weeks ago and tried oral Nystatin. Two 500,000 I.U. dose made dramatic improvements. I'm not big on pharmaceuticals but this one is effective and free of side effects as it acts locally and doesn't require metabolism or detoxification from liver. I use Oregano and Garlic regularly as well as Probiotics. Colloidal Silver periodically, but was not getting the "breakthrough" pathogen kills needed for healing. The story doesn't end here; I knew this wasn't a done deal, I was still suffering apparent leaky gut or major malabsorption issues. In a moment of complete despair and while talking on the phone I decided to use some H2O2 as it had been many months since last use. I did a 5 drop dose, waited an hr and repeated. Within minutes fallowing last dose I experience noticeable improvements. As one might guess it looks like a more regular H2O2 for me.

Also feel much more confidant on the food forms of probiotics (since the "breakthrough") like the Kefir ( I got some grains but haven't embarked on the production process yet). Also have some canned sour krout to test.

I would like to report one incident of a rare moment of noticeable improvement from one dose of 66 billion broad spectrum probiotic upon rising with a subsequent "good day".

Lisa, your many posts on healthy gut (particularly flora) should not go by unheeded; as food, meds, and supplements can be seriously compromised. In my case, I have gone from despair to hope in the forementioned corrections.

Glad you enjoyed it Geneta. And Timh, the same! And so glad to hear you continue to find improvements in your condition. I'm happy you're feeling more confident about probiotics in food forms. They are powerful ways to get them into our system. I make sure I have some everyday. I know I have learned so much in regards to our health linked to our gut flora.

I want to encourage you to start making your own kefir. I know you'll reap the benefits. Where is the canned sauerkraut from? Is it homemade? The only sauerkraut in the mainstream grocery store that is truly probiotic is Bubbie's. Both that and their pickles and their green tomatoes. We always have these in our fridge. I drink the juice everyday as well. It's loaded with probiotics. Making your own fermented veggies is super easy too. Google Sandor Katz and you'll learn a lot from him.

Anyway, it's always great to hear about your breakthroughs! It's validation for others that there is another way. Best of health to you, Lisa

They can actually create miracles in our body. Here is a brief article which conveys this:

this is a good article. I have according to the lab the highest copper levels in Australia. They suggested I must have been born with it for it to be so high. But I also have no adrenal function so not using the copper. Was low in zinc. And have the alkaline tissues and blood they suggest. My grandmother and auntie certainly had sugar addictions growing to enormous sizes. My mother & I are quite slim. However, I was drinking red wine to dull the pain, so bad I had to do something. When I was diagnosed with candida along with ross river virus nobody told me what it could actually do to you. Big catch 22 & nothing seems to make a difference.

HI. I am coming to the realization this awful itching, burning, "crawling" rash that started on my forehead and has spread to down my face even onto my neck a little bit could be a Candida yeast infection. I am overwhelmed with all the possible ways yo cure this - Threelac, Fivelac, Biotin, etc. I will try them all! I am curiuos about your Biotin. IS this over the counter? fast can I expect this to work? THANKS!!!

Biotin
Posted by Matthew (Toronto, On, Canada) on 08/13/2012

Hi Larisag, Biotin is actually a vitamin. It should be available wherever you can get a wide selection of vitamins (I got mine at the supermarket).

For me, the effect was noticeable after about a week. Within a few weeks, everything cleared up almost completely, and it just keeps getting better and better.

From what I've read, biotin works by preventing the formation of rhizoids (they're like roots that allow the fungus to attach to your intestines). In other words, it doesn't kill fungus at all.

Because of this, I think the treatment should be continued until long after the symptoms have subsided and it may be useful to add other approaches to the mix.

For me, eating more vegetables and fiber while reducing my consumption of coffee made a big difference.

I use virgin coconut oil every now and then too. It wasn't enough by itself, but it does seem to work well alongside the Biotin.

I have a strong feeling that it is a result of consuming western diets, which I have never exposed before having come from the PI and had only eaten what's grown from the ground and some occasional seafood and some chicken meat.

I have been having a total war with psoriasis and candida by discipling myself and being careful with what I put inside my mouth. I have replaced eating white rice with brown or wild/ black rice. I have also replaced eating white punky bread with whole wheat bread and have gone almost to eating vegetarian diet. I have almost replaced meat consumption with eating pulses/legumes. They are very cheap but very nutritious source of protien and fiber free from cholesterol and diseases. I also have elliminated cheese from my diet and those sweet/chocolate stuff (dessert) I replaced it with carob from the health food store and just be temperate with sweets like only eat less than a teaspoon for only a taste. I 've been using almond milk/ soy milk and seldom have soda's. I am disciplining myself to be eating large amount of veggies (cooked and raw). I have been noticing that my psoriasis has been under control now and is slowly going away. I have a lot of energy and do not feel any crawling or itchy feeling whenever I eat legumes or faked meat from Morning star product.

I haven't tried taking Biotin for candida, yet and have been thinking of going back eating to a natural, simple diet that grows from the ground and not made and manipultaed by man for profits.

I read an article here http://howtotreatyeastinfection7.com/ and I follow some home remedies, and worked well for me within just 12 hours. and the good news is that it was treated at home without any expenses, and medicines

ok.. Here goes. For the past 3 weeks I have been under a great and I mean GREAT amount of stress. I have been drinking a full bottle of "the mother" in less than two weeks in my water. I know for sure I have a yeast infection, (had previously been on antibiotics for celulitus for 2 months) however, the palms of my hands are blistered and sore and embarrassing!!!! Is this candida die off? Is it shingles???? Should I stop with the vinegar? I am scared!!!!!!!

I was suffering from Candida so badly that I had persistent pain and blocked feeling in my ear. It was made worse by antibiotics.

I visited a TCM Practitioner who took my pulse and looked at my tongue.

She said the white coating was indicative of "Dampness in the Body", which is basically candida in TCM terms. In TCM many illnesses are attributed to "dampness". The Chinese understand it and they know how to treat it.

She prescribed a herbal formula and told me to avoid certain foods (dairy, processed foods). Also to add some foods to my diet (particularly adzuki beans and some live sauerkraut).

Surprisingly, I was advised to STAY AWAY from RAW foods and vegetables. Everything must be cooked because my digestive system is struggling and raw foods are tough on the digestive system. I also need to avoid heavy meats like beef and pork.

I was advised that grains are OKAY (except for wheat - although some sourdough is OK). I must soak grains overnight before cooking them otherwise my body will not absorb them properly.

After taking the herbs for 2 weeks, I felt 100% better. My ear pain was gone and I had lots of energy. Due to circumstances out of my control, I did not improve my diet. In fact, my diet was worse than before, yet the herbs worked.

When I ran out of herbs, my symptoms came back, but now I am in a position to alter my diet so I look forward to the results.

I hope this information helps someone as I know that many people struggle to control candida. With TCM, you don't need to follow an impossible diet, just take the herbs, add certain foods and limit others.

WARNING: Chinese medicine is quite complex and this advice was given for my specific condition. Everyone is different so you will need to consult a practioner who can assess whether you have "dampness" and/or other conditions.

Hi Ben.... For my own jock-itch problem, the most useful topically-applied substance I used seems to have been Magnesium Hydroxide in solution. So I just used Milk of Magnesia as my source of Magnesium Hydroxide and applied it all over the affected jock itch area and did this twice a day, morning and evening after having my shower. Basically I was simply attacking the jock-itch with high alkalinity -- MoM has a pH of about 12 which will kill any pathogen on the skin. If the skin dries out - just use some aloe vera oil to revive it every day as well. When I had jock itch it was bad and had moved down my thighs and was all round the back -- including on my bum. So, thinking logically, I immediately assumed that when I had candida -- some of the fungus might be moving out of my intestines into the external anal area of my bum and spreading the jock itch from there -- so I made a definite point of also disinfecting my anal region twice a day with MoM to kill any and all the fingus spreading from there -- just in case.

A mixture of HP and ACV as you have described will give para-acetic acid -- this will also kill most pathogens including fungus. Other substances which might help your condition -- 5 -10 drops of Orange Oil or Lavender Oil (mixed with a carrier oil like VCO) or just some Neem Oil or Castor Oil mixed with Virgin Coconut oil and applied directly to the skin.

Hi Ben... You can use the topical hydrogen peroxide, magnesium chloride and borax however you like. Personally, when you mix them all together in water, I think it's much more effective and will kill alot more than just fingus.

Milk of magnesia may well help to get rid of oral thrush for a while but thrush is also linked as a symptom to the intestinal as well as to the systemic forms of candida. In other words, if your candida fingal infection is already in your blood then your other localised/topical fungal problems -- like oral thrush and fungal skin problems -- are probably related to this internal candida problem and so these topical/local problems may well keep coming back until you finally defeat and remove the internal systemic candida problem as the root cause. When I had systemic candida, I had all sorts of skin problems(many for decades) including eczma, psoriasis, tinea cruris, dandruff etc. I didn't treat any of my skin problems -- I just hit my systemic candida problem hard with the internal candida remedies that I've defined on this site. I simply used a multiple protocol approach which worked well. And, as a result, all my own localized fungal skin problems and other issues -- which I never bothered to treat topically -- just disappeared on their own when my systemic candida was gone.

I have also read, again and again on many blogs, where women complain that they are unable to get rid of their uterine thrush problem. Using douches may or may not work, but if your candida has already evolved into the systemic fungal form(as opposed to the yeast form) then topical douches will simply not work -- the candida will just keep returning because your uterine candida problem is not just a topical or localized problem but it has infected your blood. Exactly the same argument goes for this problem -- to get rid of your persistently returning uterine candida problem you must first kill the candida infection inside your body(in your blood).

To ensure permanent riddance and for complete success against systemic and localised candida you should be using the anti-protocols shown here and follow a strict diet.

Hi, I have suffered from candida overgrowth when I became a truck driver. I had a variety of symptoms including skin fungal infections, skin rashes, cutaneous candidiasis, severe bloating, weight gain, blurry vision, hair loss, fatigue, and even some pre diabetic symptoms like blood sugar whiplash.

I quit my job and did a full candida cleanse using natural remedies.

It's been cleared for the most part but I noticed that right before the cleanse, I had a smallish lump on my upper right shoulder. I thought it was a big pimple since I usually have back acne. After the cleanse, most of the acne disappeared but not this thing. A year later, it's still there and now I have 4 more of these strange lumps.

I did a lot of research and learned that they were keloids. I've looked desperately for answers on how to get rid of them. I've used scar creams but nothing. I've heard of ppl using the same anti-candida remedies I've used during my cleanse to get rid of these things with varying success. However, they appear to be very resistant. I strongly suspect they have some relationship of when I had the worst part of my candida since I've almost always had back acne and this never happened before.

I've read that when a candida spore burrows its way in fresh tissue (wounds like acne), it tries to create a colony. However, candida is stealthy as it tricks and avoids your immune system so what your body does instead is envelopes it with your own skin cells to prevent it from spreading .. kind of similar to the mechanics of cancer.

Right now my current theory is that even though I've eliminated the majority of the candida symptoms, there's a possibility that I may still have some hiding deep in tissue and systemically... in the blood.

Does anyone have more information about this and possible treatments??

Hi Bill, Thanks for your updates... Just a few more questions about the food I am able to have... I make my own coconut flour which from my research I understand to be ok.

1. What other flours are allowed. eg Brown rice flour, chickpea flour etc?
2. I used to have porridge for breakfast, are rolled oats ok? I read somewhere they are gluten free. (hard to believe)
3. Are cocao nibs or powder ok also? It is a great anti oxidant one of the best...

Look forward to your reply, or can also contact me at esgood4u (at) yahoo.co.nz

Thanks, Ben

Ben,

Low-carb diet is recommended on candida diet, which means you should avoid foods that have high GI (Glycemic Index) or mix these foods with low-GI foods to lower the glycemic load. It means you should always eat carbohydrates in combination with non-starchy vegetables or other foods that are low in sugar. That being said, unprocessed grains like wild rice or brown rice have the lowest GI, and the further they are processed the higher the GI becomes, which makes pasta, breads and flour less ideal on the candida diet. But as long as you eat carbohydrates together with vegetables, any flour is fine, and the same thing applies to porridge. From my experience, as long as I eat any kind of rice with vegetables in the ratio 50/50, then I am fine.

Cacao does not have any antifungal properties but I think that there are many better antioxidants, such as green leafy vegetables. Just make sure there is not any sugar in it.

Talking about carbohydrates, I refer to this website: http://janus.net.pl/Candida Fungi.htm
