First off, I would like to thank Earth Clinic!!! You may have saved my marriage! I was at my wits end with my husband. He has been in an ill dispostion for years. He has really bad depression, no concentration (he says his brain just feels foggy all the time), he has gained weight, he is now 330lbs! His depression comes along with a bad temper and extreme mood swings. He has always been like this, since I met him ten years ago but the past 2 years has gotten really bad. Well, I decided to treat him naturally for his depression since I have sucessfully treated myself naturally for different things over the years (haven't been to a docter in probably 15 years aside from The prenatal care and delivery of our 2 kids). I started giving him St. John's Wort, fish oil and a good multi vitamin. It helped slightly but was not enough for me to keep putting up with it. So about 2 days ago I started doing more research and found out about Candida. I have gone through this with my dogs so I was slightly familiar with it. Anyways I found a test to take to see if you have it! My husband definately has it! I think he was born with it! His mom seems to have had the same symptoms most of her adult life. His symptoms are; Chronic Athlete's foot (it's so bad, his feet are covered with probably a good 2 inches of solid callus. ), his armpits are brown with major pimples all over them, itchy anus, itchy ears, itchy and raw belly button, his belly is huge and hard, extreme gas and bloating, extreme appetite, horrible breath and body odor, acne on his rear, recurring jock itch, constant headaches, recurring bronchitis, joint and muscle pain, foggy vision And as mentioned above major mood swings, depression, anger problems... the symptoms can go on forever.

Well he had already agreed to go on a diet to lose weight because I am only 120lbs and it was becoming a real problem for me. It may sound superficial but it is causing real problems for me in the bedroom dept. Because his weight on top of me truly hurts. So I have now eliminated all sugars and refined flours and grains temporally. I plan to reintroduce whole grains after we've gotten the Candida under control. I have also started to give him fresh lemon juice with baking soda, fresh crushed garlic and warm water 3x's a day. Today I am going to get him som VCO and good pro-prebiotics. I really hope all this helps because I truly feel he has this so bad he could die soon from it if not treated immediately. He is only 29 years old and he is just miserable! And so is everyone else who has to live with him!

Anyways I have a few questions. First, should I be treating myself, my children and my animals also? My son, who is 4, Has bumpy, rashy arms, mild asthma, recurring broncitis and Gets thrush about once a year, usually after taking antibiotics, but is quickly cured with nystatin and lots of yogurt. He also had thrush for the first 6 months of his life, which I believe was due to the major iv antibiotics he was put on immediatly after birth (my water broke 2 days before he was delivered, it was a precaution). My daughter who is only 2 years old has mood swings compararable to a menapausal woman. I'm not exaggerating at all about her temperment, it can be unbearable at times. Second, does anyone recommend anything else for my familiy's condition? I must get rid of this monster afflicting us!

Thanks again Earth Clinic! I hope to reply back soon with good news!

Jerome, if you or anyone else can provide this information, where could one find an 'alternative medicine' provider of nystatin?

Hi Cindy... No, betaine hydrochloride generates hydrochloric acid which would defeat the whole point of alkalizing if taken at the same time. Take betaine hydrochloride at mealtimes and alkalize outside mealtimes, this is what I do. I always alkalize at least one hour before a meal or two hours after a meal to avoid creating digestion problems.

I've just realized that the above explanation might confuse certain people who are taking baking soda for other reasons than alkalizing. So to clarify -- If you are taking sodium bicarbonate for acid reflux problems then you can use this in two ways. First, you can add a little -- 1/8 to 1/4 tspn baking soda -- to your drinking water at mealtimes to cut down on stomach acidity by reducing excess acidity from food like fruit, coffee etc. Another reason might be to take 1/4 tspn sodium bicarbonate in a half glass of water a half an hour after you have eaten your meal(when the food has all moved into the duodenum), this would help digestion by neutralizing the stomach acid chyme to slightly alkaline for efficient second stage digestion. This would also save the bicarbs in your pancreas which can then be used instead to alkalize the blood

There are many ways to use sodium bicarbonate, and alot of this has to do with timing, which can cause some confusion I think.

Hi Possible Candida Suffer from Chicago... When I discovered that I had candida I had just moved to the Philippines, and so my diet changed anyway -- becoming more rice and fruit based. I only ever eat two meals a day, breakfast and diner, and have no problem with this. I eat no desserts and dislike sweet things. I don't eat junk food or drink much soda pop. I don't eat much red meat -- maybe a steak once a month now. My breakfast is large and fresh fruit based and my diner at night is quite small, like a snack really. But this is just me. Any candida sufferer must adopt a diet of their own choice and stick to it. This is a must and is all about breaking the bad dietary habits of a lifetime which has helped to promote and cause the candida in the first place. The best way is to avoid certain foods and products:

1. Absolutely NO SUGAR. No ifs or buts here -- if you really want to get rid of candida -- it starts here, this is a must!!

2. No junk food allowed.

3. No vegetable oil in the diet. Vegetable oil oxidises fairly quickly on the shelf and very rapidly at high heat. Most vegetable oils are also now made from an unnatural chemical process. Better to use virgin coconut oil for cooking -- this is a very stable oil that is very good for you. When I had candida and started taking coconut oil, my bad constipation and bloating issues disappeared in about two weeks. VCO is very healthy for your body and intestines. I only cook with VCO now and VCO has actually helped me to lose weight.

4. No soda pop. Apart from the sugar, soda drinks also contain carbonic and phosophoric acids -- all of which acidifies your body and encourages candida.

5. Eat only white meat like chicken or fish in small amounts and avoid red all meats.

6. No baking products like bread, cakes pastries etc. In the 70s or 80s the FDA, in the wisdom, allowed the use of bromide and bromates in bread-making and baking instead of iodine. Bromine weakens the immune system and also encourages candida growth. Strangely but happily, I recently learnt that bromides and bromates used in baking in the Philipines have always been banned. Well go figure...

7. No canned products in the diet. Bisphenol A -- or BPA -- is contained in all plastic linings of canned products and is very bad for you. Upsets hormone balance and weakens the immune system.

8. No Calcium which means no dairy products -- no milk, cheese, yoghurt etc. Avoid calcium fortified foods. Excess calcium encourages acidity and thereby aids the spread of candida.

9. No Monosodium Glutamate(MSG) allowed. This means that all soy products made from a chemical process -- including soy sauce, tofu etc. Are not allowed. Avoid all products with added MSG. But any soy products made from the natural fermentation process are OK and allowed in small amounts.

10. Avoid distilled water and tap-water. Distilled water is "dead water" -- it completely lacks any important body minerals that natural spring-water contains. Tap-water nowadays -- due to water shortages -- is now re-cycled and chemically processed from sewage(especially in cities), so Lord only knows what evil goodies tap-water contains. Enough said I think. Drink fresh mineral or spring water or create your own mineral water instead.

11. Try and avoid all (chemically) processed food if you can. Try and eat foods that are made from natural processes without excess heating or use of chemicals/pesticides.

12. When you eat food, don't always rush and over-stuff yourself, as this leads to poor, inefficient digestion and acid intestines. There is always a lag from when you feel hungry to when you are satisfied but if you eat too fast, this is not good for you. Eat your food slower and drink plenty of water at mealtimes for proper digestion. The Chinese -- and Okinawans -- normally eat until they feel 70-80% full, then they stop. This is also good simple dietary practice.

All the above precautions are purely to encourage a healthy body and to create an environment that is very bad for candida. Of course this diet must be adopted as well as Ted's anti-candida protocols for complete success to be assured against systemic candida.

Just wanted to say thank you for writing back. I have tried almost every remedy on here for the past seven years, you name it I have tried it , researched, cross referenced , tried again. I have so much knowledge and have studies enough mycology reports to fill many of desks. I dont want this to be my life. Some things work some don't. I guess the most important thing to me in my life is my husband and this stuff has really taken up a lot of the creative space. I am a very strict eater and sometimes its easy and I know what to do but other times I worry because my husband is thin and a candida diet is hard to keep weight on him and carbs help with energy but are not aloud and protein is hard to digest and is acidic. I think clear when I have carbs and I feel stronger when I have protein but I don't very often anymore because of all the different answers. I just started Apple Cider Vinegar and baking soda and I am trying not to get my hopes up. I digress.. I am here to say thank you for your words.... Blessings

I have a question for Bill. I know you have precisely laid out the remedies for candida but what exactly can I eat??? Currently I am eating everything that is bad for candida it seems like. I need a diet plan to go along with the remedies. I know the basics NO SUGAR but it seems like everything has sugar. I am also considering a 5 day fast.

Hello everyone... Concerning amounts and clearly laid references to remedies concerning fungus and candida, I wrote a clearly laid out remedy -- all based on Ted's remedies -- a while ago which got rid of my own systemic candida. As well, I have updated it to what I would use and am using now to keep clear of fungus problems and keep my body healthy. Here is the EarthClinic link to the remedies I used for candida:

https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/mystery-diagnosis.html

The candida remedy is in the second comment in the stream from the top of the page.

When I had candida 5 years ago, I used all these remedies on a daily basis. Systemic candida is not easy to kill, and will take 6 months to a year to get rid of systemic candida particularly. So be patient.

To clear up misunderstandings about alkalizing with sodium bicarbonate -- You can use sodium bicarbonate on its own in half a glass of water. I use 1/2 tspn sodium bicarbonate in half a glass of water, but I'm a 200 lbs guy. If you're significantly smaller, then use 1/4 tspn Sodium Bicarbonate. Take this two or three times a day. Taking sodium bicarb on its own in half a glass of water cures acid reflux when taken 1/2 hour after eating(and the food is in the duodenum) as well as helps to alkalizes the blood.

And whether I use two tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar, or use one squeezed lemon or use one squeezed lime I always add about 1/2 tspn Sodium Bicarbonate to the solution in half a glass of water. If you prefer, you can add the 1/2 tspn sodium bicarbonate to the ACV or lemon juice or lime juice in half a glass of water until the fizzing stops. By adding a little extra Sodium Bicarbonate(which is what I do), this buffers the final solution ensuring that the beneficial malate or citrate salts that form are in an alkaline solution. More beneficial. If you are taking these alkalizing remedies for candida -- always alkalize at least one hour before a meal and two hours after a meal to avoid interference with digestion at mealtimes(the exception here is if you have acid reflux).

I still use all these remedies regularly today -- they're good for other small problems as well. I'm over 60 years old and now candida free with no aches and pains, a good heart and I haven't been ill with flu, colds or anything for about the past 4 or 5 years.

Cricket, I found out the hard way to ingest these suggestions carefully. As much as I wanted to be mad at at the person who made the post, I had to assume personal responsibility. While I agree in some cases more information is needed, "some turmeric" Well how much is some, 1 teaspoon? A tablespoon?

Plus a big thing to remember, most of these people who write in their remedies are not holistic professionals. They are just folks who are sick of being sick and traditional meds have not helped. Not to discount the fact their remedies may work very well for them, but not for you.

What I do is try the remedies that interest me, and leave the rest. I hope you cure your candida, from what I have read its a nasty condition that takes months to rid yourself of. Above all give the remedies a chance to work. It seems people who successfully remove candida are totally dedicated to some kind of routine. To me it makes sense to use an anti candida diet, eliminating refined foods, sugars, and even high sugar fruits. Good luck to you Cricket.

I agree it'd be easier if remedies were complete and easily summed up but keep in mind, this site is just regular people researching online and experimenting with what they find, like you, and reporting back here (especially when traditional medicine isn't working or is too expensive). If your candida and leaky gut is really severe and you need a lot of detailed info, it might be best to work with a local naturopath doctor of some sort (or even travel a little if need be). They do have a database of healers listed on this website (although its limited for WA).

Ted Help :Severe candida :
How am I supposed to eat protein if it is acidic? I have a difficult time digesting much of anything. If I eat some chicken another site says to eat protein meat so that the acids/chyme in the tummy will start producing so that I dont have such a hard time with digesting or to take Hcl. The acid needs carbonates (usually released by the pancreas) to neutralize the acid before released into our intestines. No one says how to know if you take HCL that your pancreas is releasing enough carbonates so no harm is being done to the intestines. Nobody ever gives directions except that you need to take HCL 45 min after you eat your protein.

I also have leaky gut and the acid will hurt my lining even more. Baking soda is fine to take with your meat if it doesn't make you dead thirsty and hands swell for hours afterwards like it did me but if I was taking it with my meat I would be neutralizing the acid used to digest my protein anyway. Directions like, wait two hours after eating your meat then take BS and then tell me why and if in those two hours the lining of my tummy has not been damaged even more.

When you folks give advice you really need to give more in depth information. Folks like me have been spending two hours a day or more on the internet for years trying to heal severe candida when we could be spending this time with are loved ones who I am sure really are sick of hearing about our diets, white mouth after eating anything that is not steamed veggies. This can be very hard on a relationship. I do love that this place is here, don't get me wrong but it can be so frustrating sometimes when all you can eat is food combined foods and very few of them at that. Thank You for reading my gripes and questions.

When I have had candida in the past, the only thing that helped mine was that I soaked a tampon in Glyco-thymoline and then inserted it into my vagina. I left it for approx an hour and then took it out and then douched with a solution of baking soda. It worked for me and has not returned.

Candida : I just started 1/2 tsp baking soda in two tablespoons lemon juice. ( I have been sick for years). Makes me so thirsty. Is this protocol good enough? I dont have a lot of money after a year of h2o2 infusions, ect.. I need an easy regime with not a ton of product. I was concerned about the calcium comment. AM I not supposed to take calcium when I have candida? What vitamins am I not supposed to take and witch ones am I supposed to take? I need calcium citrate to build bones ect..

NOTE: To all the folks out there triple dosing themselves with antifungals be very careful. You may make the candida worse because they work just like antibiotics and kill the good yeast too. I hurt my body by overdoing this. (made candida in the long run worse because I was taking more antifungals then I was probiotics. I say be gentle with the use of gse, oregano oil ect and heavy on the probiotics. In our culture we have a tendency to want to kill , kill, kill the thing that is bothering us when sometimes a balance would be better. Find the highest dose of probiotics on the market.

My partner had a course of antibiotics and within days had a white coating on his tongue which I instantly recognised as candida. I had had systemic candida a few years before and wished I had known then what I know now about the illness. I cured my candida after two years of feeling like death with oregano oil. I still take a course of it every now and then so I had some with me and got my partner to swill his mouth with the oil several times a day plus take it orally. The infection cleared up in four days.

I started taking Apple Cider Vinegar about a week ago, alternating between 2 TBSP and 2 TSP, 2x/day. I have a variety of issues, and I'm a little confused about contraindications. I have read that people have yeast flair-ups when drinking the ACV, but also read that ACV is good for yeast. Which is it? I'm pretty positive I have Candida - recurring yeast infections, fatigue, and now outbreak of foot fungus, along with white tongue. I've also had my blood analyzed and was told candida was present. I've decided to take probiotics as well as the oral ACV and ACV foot baths, and I've cut out alcohol, sugars, and non-vegetable carbs. I should mention that I'm also trying to drop 10 pounds.

Since I've started taking the ACV, I have noticed a definite spike in energy. I've also noticed constipation, and a yeast infection, which I'm treating with raw garlic. My question is, am I a good candidate for ACV? Are the steps I'm taking likely to conquer the Candida as well as the symptoms (fungus, fatigue, etc. )? I won't be able to keep the diet forever (I enjoy wine far too much), but my general diet is healthy, though a little dairy heavy. I just want to make sure I'm going in the right direction!

Dear Julie, You are absolutely right about brain fogs related to the deficiency. The main cause of B12 deficiency is a damaged intestinal mucosa. The damaged mucosa could be attributed to many thing but the parasites are the big problem. The parasite infection leads to Candida. And I read so many people who suffered from white tongue that their tongue became normal once the parasite was gone. So you should test for a parasite infection. Best regards, Jean

I have Candida but my symptoms are a little different. My eyesight is getting worse and my eyes are sensitive to light, I have this woozy feeling in my brain causing me to have vertigo, forgetfulness, and a limited vocabulary. For some reason I can't seem to remember the names of things. Like I'm trying to explain something and I completely blank out and can't find the word I'm looking for.. I've developed an allergy to dairy and I believe it has to do with it causing mucus. I had tingling feelings in my toes, I started getting yeast infections once a month (they have since stopped). Heart palpitations, feeling drunk, not coordinated, anxiety (never had it before), toe fungus, constipation.. I think there's more but I believe I'm forgetting a few symptoms (damn candida).. I went to my doctor and they found nothing, I went to the neurologist had my brain scanned and they found nothing, went to the ENT and same thing... NOTHING!

So I started doing my own research. I googled My brain feels woozy.. And I found some forums where people were talking about vitamin deficiencies.. So I started researching vitamin deficiencies... I found that I lacked magnesium, D and B-12. So I went to the store and bought them on my lunch break. Took them and OMG I felt a shift in my brain. Very weird. Everything seemed to look very clear. And I had more clarity to my thoughts. I have started doing many different things. I took dairy out of my diet. Eating way more fibrous vegetables, Lots more fruit (candida friendly). Started with Ted's Lime bicarbonate (not so sure its working). Taking Selenium, Probiotics, Oil of Oregano, magnesium, garlic and I just ordered Grapefruit Seed Extract.

I have been struggling with candida since a life threatening bout of sceptecaemia some 30 yrs ago. Doctor had me on high doses of anti-biotics for a year to "help my immune system cope". In spite of all my efforts to overcome I am still plagued with debilitating chronic fatigue, heavily coated white tongue, sleep problems, etc.. I am about to try Marvin Lee Robey's protocol of a thorough colon cleanse followed by treatment for 2 weeks with ionic silver and hydrogen peroxide. Apparently 2 weeks is all it usually takes though some bad cases may require up to 5 weeks. I feel really confident about this therapy and will keep you informed about my progress.

Its true so no more SUGAR because it's the most important of the avoidance foods to limit in your diet as it directly increases the amount of Candida in your body when it is consumed. There is no way around this one, if you choose to continue to eat sugar on a regular basis you will continue to develop Candida in your body. This includes not just the obvious forms of sugar but also white flour and breads which convert to sugar in the body. Fruits unfortunately need to be removed too, however when you are finally healed from candida cures tips I strongly recommend you get back to eating fruits regularly again. As well as the YEAST because consuming more yeast in your diet when you suffer from Candida will directly encourage Candida growth. This is arguably due to the fact that some believe Candida is capable of assimilating other yeasts and using them to further develop Candida growth.

You are doing lots of things to kill the candida, but I'm not seeing anything to replace the good bacteria killed by the antibiotics. The good bacteria actually help to keep things like candida down to a manageable level. You can get good bacteria into your body in a lot of different ways -
Fermented dairy like yogurt, kefir, buttermilk and other variations
Fermented veggies like home-made lactofermented cabbage (sauerkraut), carrots, kim chee mixtures, beets and more
Fermented fruits - aka chutneys
Fermented grain drinks - like rejuvelac from grains like wheat or rye
Fermented soy - like unpasteurized miso in a warm broth (not hot, it will kill the good microorganisms)

You can also use probiotic supplements. Jordan Rubin found that one of the turning points in his health recovery was including soil microorganisms into his diet. Garden of Life and a few other companies offer soil microorganisms in some of their supplements, too. You may also want to look at the possibility of toxic metals in your body - they predispose us to candida problems, and make them very difficult to eradicate. Hair sample testing can show toxic exposures over time, and a chelation test can show what can be pulled out of your tissues by a chelating agent. Many people have uranium poisoning due to shifting winds carrying radioactive fallout from places like Chernobyl, to give one example why you might have toxic exposure even if you have been scrupulous about your diet and water filtration habits. Fermented foods are also protective during exposure to radioactive toxicity, btw... So are green foods and fiber-rich foods, but fermented foods proved their value after the bomb in Hiroshima, which I really respect.

Carriedove, I lead a gluten free life and I can tell you that absolutely for sure, there is NO gluten in corn! I would know because I have bad reactions to all gluten sources. Go do some research and you will see, corn is gluten-free.... Thank God because I can eat corn pasta, corn bread and corn on the cob.... I hope you find out what else it is that you are allergic to... But its n-o-t the gluten in corn. Db

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I would like to comment on niacin for fungus infections and ask Ted some questions. I read about using niacin in the form of "inositol hexanicotinate" for acne. Within a week of taking 500mg per day of niacin/inositol hexanicotinate all my cysts are gone and other acne is totally gone. I have had acne for over 30 years and this to me is a miracle. My acne has always increased after antibiotic use and also is accompanied by fungus or candida symptoms. My fungal symptoms have lessened substantially in just a week too! The only problem is my insomnia is much worse now. I notice that the niacin seems to block my calcium because I get particular symptoms from low calcium and when I take niacin my calcium no longer works for my insomnia or my low calcium symptoms.

Questions.. What is your advice or thoughts on the niacin blocking my calcium? And.. Is the inositol hexanicotinate form of niacin also considered antifungal in the research you mentioned? Thanks much!

Please tell me if the 20 Mule Team Borax is to be used internally? You may drink it to treat the Candida? Thank you for your response.

@beth: It would HAVE to be 1/2 teaspoon, or tsp. of Baking Soda, as it is phenomenally powerful stuff. If it can neutralize the sulfuric acid in a car battery at that strength or less in a gallon, it would probably be too much for a person. Even the side of the box encourages extreme moderation when using as an antacid.

Reply to Jason.. No no no to using baking powder instead of baking soda.. Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate, while baking powder is a mixture of sodium bicarbonate, potassium tartrate and a starch such as cornflour to assist freeflow.

Hi Sam... Yes, borax is needed against candida -- because it is the ultimate fungal killer and is not expensive. Just use the 20 Mule Team Borax easily found in the laundry isle of most US supermarkets -- dirt cheap. You will only ever use a quarter of a teaspoon of borax daily in a litre of water 4 or 5 days a week anyway. I still use it regularly.

Hi- I recently posted about systemic candida and received great feedback. Probably have had most of my life, I was fed IV penicillin at birth and grateful I am alive... However... I have to stay basic due to limited $, so
1. Diet-I am following
2. Lemon juice bs remedy-ditto
3. Borax in water-is this necessary? I have a bit of background in biochem and I just can't do this-alternatives?
4. Emotional work-doing that
5 Other basic stuff?
I want to stay simple, the diet is crazy enough. Thanks, Sam

Just wondering can baking powder substitute baking soda, Should I just chug the mixture or slowly swish it around in my mouth and also I'm guessing the apple juice isn't necessary but can I replace it with cranberry juice?

Master Cleanse

★☆☆☆☆

I've been on the Master Cleanse diet for 10 days and plan on continuing it for 30 in hopes to rid myself of Candida along with bad breath, which is one of the horrible side effects. However, I have not noticed any improvement and it gets me nervous because the fast is recommended 3-10 days for the average person, but you can do it up to 40. I guess what I'm wanting to know is, is the grade b maple syrup that's in the lemon drink helping or hurting my candida?

The candida diet is the most important thing you can do. (no sugar, yeast at all in any foods; no fruit or juices). I have been on the candida diet for 61 days now and have seen much improvement. I'm almost through all of the symptoms. Of great importance for me was undecylenic acid, caprylic acid and a good multi and probiotics. The undecylenic acid was the most critical element; detox can be tough at times, but use hot teas and epsom salt baths. You will feel better!

I have read that a simple test for candida is as follows: First thing in the morning, before brushing teeth or drinking anything, spit into a cup of water. Allow it to sit a while. If the spittle remains floating on top of the water, you do NOT have candida. If it gets "stringy legs" going down into the water, you DO have candida. When I have had candida symptoms, this test has proven true. Also, I have read that if you have a white coated tongue, you have candida. Period.

Hi, I just wonder which medication did you take or supplement to deal with your candida? I have all those symptoms and my doctor doesn't believe me for Candida. I have a coated tongue in the morning. I wonder if there is a test to see what is this white coating in the tongue?
Thank you very much.

Could be candida. I have candida, and I have similar pain in my left diaphram and back. It is from gas/bloating, and also having so much tension in the area over years. You may wish to go see a doctor or naturopath about the vomiting and palpitations. You may also want to do an endoscopy. Thanks for the tip about the oregano oil. Good luck

Adequate Chewing of Food

I also eat fast, have candida but also have leaky gut which is made worse by not chewing my food enough. This then caused tons of food allergies because the food particles get into the body cavity and decay producing toxins along with the candida toxins. This then causes a series of other problems for me. Hashimotos thyroidis, endometriosis, fibroids, PMS, Acne, brain fog, bad memory, insomnia, fibro, chronic fatigue and more so its really important to chew, chew chew. Still trying to fix all these problems. Whew

Niacin
Posted by Tom (Regina, Sk) on 09/22/2010

John: I note you are trying niacin for candida. It might very well work for you, but did you perhaps confuse 'niacin' with 'biotin', a well-recognized and used remedy even to many MDs?

In the yeast form, Candida reproduces by "budding", and at this stage is usually not invasive. However, in the mycelia or fungal stage, it forms long, "rootlike" structures that can penetrate the mucus membranes. Biotin, as a supplement, will discourage transformation to the invasive myceloid form of Candida. This explains why so many people who have a chronic, severe sinus infection have so much trouble getting rid of it! It is progressed to the mycelial form, and so is literally 'rooted' in there. As for dosage, searches show anywhere claiming from 2 X 500 microgram twice daily, to many saying you need 2 X 2500 microgram or even 2 X 5000 microgram capsules twice per day. This high dose will of course be only in the interim while you kill off the much nastier rooted mycelial form.

After taking 50mg of niacin several times a day, my mouth-focused candida is much better.

I make sure to keep it below 1000 mg/day. Undecylenic acid was recommended along with niacin, but I cannot find it at the stores. My mouth had geographic tongue, and sores all everywhere and especially after eating certain sugary foods things got tender, but now that I'm eating these niacinamide supplements, I can eat whatever I want again, and the big sores are gone and my tongue is back to normal. If I feel it starting to flare up, I chew up a pill and rub the niacinamide all over my tongue and lips and I can feel the fungus dying, and everything returning to normal. After months of suffering, I'm so glad to have it so much better, not perfect, but I just started 2 days ago, so what can we expect.

I've had what I think is candida for years but all the physicians I've been to have run tests and say it isn't so, however, I get this white junk that builds on my tongue and the more sugar I ingest the worse it gets. I also get tired, have gas, diahrea, joint pain, sore eyes, and many other problems when ever I eat foods with sugar. I tried the oil pulling starting about 5 weeks ago and at first had itchy rashes for a few days. This went away and I continue to oil pull twice a day for 30 min each. All my symptoms have decreased substantially, particulary the thrush (or whatever it is). I've been to doctors all over the country, have had tests from A to Z, and none have found anything. I oil pull with olive oil.

I had thrush about a month ago and they gave me Nystatin for it. The doc says it's gone, but my tongue is patchy white. I was wondering if I still have it and should try some of theses remedies, If so which ones? Would gargling with Tea tree oil 2 or 3x a day be a good start? Am kinda confused on the ACV thing, do you just mix it together and drink it or gargle? Thanks, Tim

Candida Detoxing Symptoms
Posted by Bill (San Fernando, Luzon, Philippines) on 08/23/2010

Hi Tommy... When I had candida I had a white tongue but no stomach problems. I also had constant bloating and constant constipation. Don't forget that candida sufferers can have between 20-30 different symptoms -- and no two candida sufferer's symtoms will ever be exactly the same. For instance, one person with candida might have constant constipation(like I had) but another might have loose stools or constant diarrhea. I have also read many posts here with people who think they only have oral candida or thrush when they have a white tongue. But if they also have other fungal skin problems like psoriasis, dandruff, eczma, athletes foot or jock itch or intestinal problems as well, then I would immediately assume that systemic candida is present and treat it accordingly. The dangers and robustness of Candida should never be underestimated.

I'm happy to know that you are doing well after your struggle with candida. I just want to ask you if you had a white coated tongue and also if you experienced a constant stomach pain at the upper abdomen?

Thank you very much.

Candida Symptoms

Hi everyone, Doctors aren't of great help and I feel a kind of pain over my left diaphragm and in my back. When I wake up in the morning, my tongue is coated with white thing ( Candida probably), and when I eat a food the white coat goes away and then comes back. I put oregano oil directly on my tongue and I saw in the mirror the white spot loosing its form ( Candida dying??). I started with hydrogen peroxide but sometimes I vomit. I don't know if there is a solution to this side effect. Also sometimes I do experience heart palpitations and I don't know if this is due to Candida or something else. I realized before that when I used to eat the jelly pudding, I felt that somethings is squeezing inside my esophagus and stomach. Could that be Candida or somethings else? Thank you very much and God bless you.

I found this by searching for treatments for candida put diatomateous earth and candida in search engine. I have used di earth for years as a parasite cleanse for my champion german shepherds I raised. I also used it to protect my grain from wevils for my chickens and used it in my garden. When I read about it on the internet, I thought of course this would work and used it myself and it did the job very fast and I still take it monthly for one week. I take it in capsules with my meals for all parasites.

Do not use di earth treated for swimming pools, anything else is fine. Also, I took a enzyme at night to get in my blood stream called cellulase, it digests the outer wall also. I would give you the name but this web site frowns up on that. Di earth is poorly absorbed so it mainly treats your digestive track but that is the main breeding and feeding ground for candida.

The reason you use a starch or sugar product with the diatomaceous earth is that is what the candida like to eat they come in contact with dt earth and die. The problem with many treatments such as drug or garlic and other herbs the candida are able to mutate and after a short time they become ineffective how ever this is not the case with dt earth or the cellulase enzymes that destroy candida's cell walls. Dt earth is very safe. You can also put in capsules and take with food. Or eat 3 2x2 pieces of bread a day and freeze the rest.
