I agree it'd be easier if remedies were complete and easily summed up but keep in mind, this site is just regular people researching online and experimenting with what they find, like you, and reporting back here (especially when traditional medicine isn't working or is too expensive). If your candida and leaky gut is really severe and you need a lot of detailed info, it might be best to work with a local naturopath doctor of some sort (or even travel a little if need be). They do have a database of healers listed on this website (although its limited for WA).

Ted Help :Severe candida :
How am I supposed to eat protein if it is acidic? I have a difficult time digesting much of anything. If I eat some chicken another site says to eat protein meat so that the acids/chyme in the tummy will start producing so that I dont have such a hard time with digesting or to take Hcl. The acid needs carbonates (usually released by the pancreas) to neutralize the acid before released into our intestines. No one says how to know if you take HCL that your pancreas is releasing enough carbonates so no harm is being done to the intestines. Nobody ever gives directions except that you need to take HCL 45 min after you eat your protein.
I also have leaky gut and the acid will hurt my lining even more. Baking soda is fine to take with your meat if it doesn't make you dead thirsty and hands swell for hours afterwards like it did me but if I was taking it with my meat I would be neutralizing the acid used to digest my protein anyway. Directions like, wait two hours after eating your meat then take BS and then tell me why and if in those two hours the lining of my tummy has not been damaged even more.
When you folks give advice you really need to give more in depth information. Folks like me have been spending two hours a day or more on the internet for years trying to heal severe candida when we could be spending this time with are loved ones who I am sure really are sick of hearing about our diets, white mouth after eating anything that is not steamed veggies. This can be very hard on a relationship. I do love that this place is here, don't get me wrong but it can be so frustrating sometimes when all you can eat is food combined foods and very few of them at that. Thank You for reading my gripes and questions.

Ted generally buys B.P. Grade or U.S.P. Grade borax (Sodium tetraborate) from a chemical supplier or you can look in google products for a 100% Sodium tetraborate or borax. If he can't find this, he'll use the one sold in the supermarket laundry aisle (e. G. 20 Mule Team Borax).

When I have had candida in the past, the only thing that helped mine was that I soaked a tampon in Glyco-thymoline and then inserted it into my vagina. I left it for approx an hour and then took it out and then douched with a solution of baking soda. It worked for me and has not returned.

Candida : I just started 1/2 tsp baking soda in two tablespoons lemon juice. ( I have been sick for years). Makes me so thirsty. Is this protocol good enough? I dont have a lot of money after a year of h2o2 infusions, ect.. I need an easy regime with not a ton of product. I was concerned about the calcium comment. AM I not supposed to take calcium when I have candida? What vitamins am I not supposed to take and witch ones am I supposed to take? I need calcium citrate to build bones ect..
NOTE: To all the folks out there triple dosing themselves with antifungals be very careful. You may make the candida worse because they work just like antibiotics and kill the good yeast too. I hurt my body by overdoing this. (made candida in the long run worse because I was taking more antifungals then I was probiotics. I say be gentle with the use of gse, oregano oil ect and heavy on the probiotics. In our culture we have a tendency to want to kill , kill, kill the thing that is bothering us when sometimes a balance would be better. Find the highest dose of probiotics on the market.

My partner had a course of antibiotics and within days had a white coating on his tongue which I instantly recognised as candida. I had had systemic candida a few years before and wished I had known then what I know now about the illness. I cured my candida after two years of feeling like death with oregano oil. I still take a course of it every now and then so I had some with me and got my partner to swill his mouth with the oil several times a day plus take it orally. The infection cleared up in four days.

I started taking Apple Cider Vinegar about a week ago, alternating between 2 TBSP and 2 TSP, 2x/day. I have a variety of issues, and I'm a little confused about contraindications. I have read that people have yeast flair-ups when drinking the ACV, but also read that ACV is good for yeast. Which is it? I'm pretty positive I have Candida - recurring yeast infections, fatigue, and now outbreak of foot fungus, along with white tongue. I've also had my blood analyzed and was told candida was present. I've decided to take probiotics as well as the oral ACV and ACV foot baths, and I've cut out alcohol, sugars, and non-vegetable carbs. I should mention that I'm also trying to drop 10 pounds.
Since I've started taking the ACV, I have noticed a definite spike in energy. I've also noticed constipation, and a yeast infection, which I'm treating with raw garlic. My question is, am I a good candidate for ACV? Are the steps I'm taking likely to conquer the Candida as well as the symptoms (fungus, fatigue, etc. )? I won't be able to keep the diet forever (I enjoy wine far too much), but my general diet is healthy, though a little dairy heavy. I just want to make sure I'm going in the right direction!

Hi Tasha... I had candida for well over 8 years, and managed to get rid of it within a year using Ted's remedies. Here is a link to where I put all of Ted's candida remedies that I used together in one area. The link leads to a comment stream where I lay out the remedies with explanations. Here is the link:
https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/mystery-diagnosis.html
At a minimum, I would use Ted's alkalizing remedies plus all the core attack remedies against candida from this protocol.
I still use all of these remedies today, haven't had a cold or flu or any illness, no aches and pains, good heart, for well over 4 years now and I'm over 60 y o. But when I had candida, it was a very different story.

I am trying to find Ted's recipe for curing Candida. I have his direct email from past conversations but I rather not contact him when he has already listed the ingredients here. Can someone direct me or provide the link to the page where I can find his recipes for Candida. I'm not sure if someone has mentioned this before, but what about giving a tab or side bar link to all of Ted's recipes. Disregard this suggestion if it is already here on the site. I'm probably overlooking it. Thanks, Tasha

Dear Julie, You are absolutely right about brain fogs related to the deficiency. The main cause of B12 deficiency is a damaged intestinal mucosa. The damaged mucosa could be attributed to many thing but the parasites are the big problem. The parasite infection leads to Candida. And I read so many people who suffered from white tongue that their tongue became normal once the parasite was gone. So you should test for a parasite infection. Best regards, Jean

I have Candida but my symptoms are a little different. My eyesight is getting worse and my eyes are sensitive to light, I have this woozy feeling in my brain causing me to have vertigo, forgetfulness, and a limited vocabulary. For some reason I can't seem to remember the names of things. Like I'm trying to explain something and I completely blank out and can't find the word I'm looking for.. I've developed an allergy to dairy and I believe it has to do with it causing mucus. I had tingling feelings in my toes, I started getting yeast infections once a month (they have since stopped). Heart palpitations, feeling drunk, not coordinated, anxiety (never had it before), toe fungus, constipation.. I think there's more but I believe I'm forgetting a few symptoms (damn candida).. I went to my doctor and they found nothing, I went to the neurologist had my brain scanned and they found nothing, went to the ENT and same thing... NOTHING!
So I started doing my own research. I googled My brain feels woozy.. And I found some forums where people were talking about vitamin deficiencies.. So I started researching vitamin deficiencies... I found that I lacked magnesium, D and B-12. So I went to the store and bought them on my lunch break. Took them and OMG I felt a shift in my brain. Very weird. Everything seemed to look very clear. And I had more clarity to my thoughts. I have started doing many different things. I took dairy out of my diet. Eating way more fibrous vegetables, Lots more fruit (candida friendly). Started with Ted's Lime bicarbonate (not so sure its working). Taking Selenium, Probiotics, Oil of Oregano, magnesium, garlic and I just ordered Grapefruit Seed Extract.

I have been struggling with candida since a life threatening bout of sceptecaemia some 30 yrs ago. Doctor had me on high doses of anti-biotics for a year to "help my immune system cope". In spite of all my efforts to overcome I am still plagued with debilitating chronic fatigue, heavily coated white tongue, sleep problems, etc.. I am about to try Marvin Lee Robey's protocol of a thorough colon cleanse followed by treatment for 2 weeks with ionic silver and hydrogen peroxide. Apparently 2 weeks is all it usually takes though some bad cases may require up to 5 weeks. I feel really confident about this therapy and will keep you informed about my progress.

Its true so no more SUGAR because it's the most important of the avoidance foods to limit in your diet as it directly increases the amount of Candida in your body when it is consumed. There is no way around this one, if you choose to continue to eat sugar on a regular basis you will continue to develop Candida in your body. This includes not just the obvious forms of sugar but also white flour and breads which convert to sugar in the body. Fruits unfortunately need to be removed too, however when you are finally healed from candida cures tips I strongly recommend you get back to eating fruits regularly again. As well as the YEAST because consuming more yeast in your diet when you suffer from Candida will directly encourage Candida growth. This is arguably due to the fact that some believe Candida is capable of assimilating other yeasts and using them to further develop Candida growth.

You are doing lots of things to kill the candida, but I'm not seeing anything to replace the good bacteria killed by the antibiotics. The good bacteria actually help to keep things like candida down to a manageable level. You can get good bacteria into your body in a lot of different ways -
Fermented dairy like yogurt, kefir, buttermilk and other variations
Fermented veggies like home-made lactofermented cabbage (sauerkraut), carrots, kim chee mixtures, beets and more
Fermented fruits - aka chutneys
Fermented grain drinks - like rejuvelac from grains like wheat or rye
Fermented soy - like unpasteurized miso in a warm broth (not hot, it will kill the good microorganisms)
You can also use probiotic supplements. Jordan Rubin found that one of the turning points in his health recovery was including soil microorganisms into his diet. Garden of Life and a few other companies offer soil microorganisms in some of their supplements, too. You may also want to look at the possibility of toxic metals in your body - they predispose us to candida problems, and make them very difficult to eradicate. Hair sample testing can show toxic exposures over time, and a chelation test can show what can be pulled out of your tissues by a chelating agent. Many people have uranium poisoning due to shifting winds carrying radioactive fallout from places like Chernobyl, to give one example why you might have toxic exposure even if you have been scrupulous about your diet and water filtration habits. Fermented foods are also protective during exposure to radioactive toxicity, btw... So are green foods and fiber-rich foods, but fermented foods proved their value after the bomb in Hiroshima, which I really respect.

★★★☆☆BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS
I would like to comment on niacin for fungus infections and ask Ted some questions. I read about using niacin in the form of "inositol hexanicotinate" for acne. Within a week of taking 500mg per day of niacin/inositol hexanicotinate all my cysts are gone and other acne is totally gone. I have had acne for over 30 years and this to me is a miracle. My acne has always increased after antibiotic use and also is accompanied by fungus or candida symptoms. My fungal symptoms have lessened substantially in just a week too! The only problem is my insomnia is much worse now. I notice that the niacin seems to block my calcium because I get particular symptoms from low calcium and when I take niacin my calcium no longer works for my insomnia or my low calcium symptoms.
Questions.. What is your advice or thoughts on the niacin blocking my calcium? And.. Is the inositol hexanicotinate form of niacin also considered antifungal in the research you mentioned? Thanks much!

@beth: It would HAVE to be 1/2 teaspoon, or tsp. of Baking Soda, as it is phenomenally powerful stuff. If it can neutralize the sulfuric acid in a car battery at that strength or less in a gallon, it would probably be too much for a person. Even the side of the box encourages extreme moderation when using as an antacid.

Reply to Jason.. No no no to using baking powder instead of baking soda.. Baking soda is pure sodium bicarbonate, while baking powder is a mixture of sodium bicarbonate, potassium tartrate and a starch such as cornflour to assist freeflow.

Hi Sam... Yes, borax is needed against candida -- because it is the ultimate fungal killer and is not expensive. Just use the 20 Mule Team Borax easily found in the laundry isle of most US supermarkets -- dirt cheap. You will only ever use a quarter of a teaspoon of borax daily in a litre of water 4 or 5 days a week anyway. I still use it regularly.

Hi- I recently posted about systemic candida and received great feedback. Probably have had most of my life, I was fed IV penicillin at birth and grateful I am alive... However... I have to stay basic due to limited $, so
1. Diet-I am following
2. Lemon juice bs remedy-ditto
3. Borax in water-is this necessary? I have a bit of background in biochem and I just can't do this-alternatives?
4. Emotional work-doing that
5 Other basic stuff?
I want to stay simple, the diet is crazy enough. Thanks, Sam

I've been on the Master Cleanse diet for 10 days and plan on continuing it for 30 in hopes to rid myself of Candida along with bad breath, which is one of the horrible side effects. However, I have not noticed any improvement and it gets me nervous because the fast is recommended 3-10 days for the average person, but you can do it up to 40. I guess what I'm wanting to know is, is the grade b maple syrup that's in the lemon drink helping or hurting my candida?

The candida diet is the most important thing you can do. (no sugar, yeast at all in any foods; no fruit or juices). I have been on the candida diet for 61 days now and have seen much improvement. I'm almost through all of the symptoms. Of great importance for me was undecylenic acid, caprylic acid and a good multi and probiotics. The undecylenic acid was the most critical element; detox can be tough at times, but use hot teas and epsom salt baths. You will feel better!

I have read that a simple test for candida is as follows: First thing in the morning, before brushing teeth or drinking anything, spit into a cup of water. Allow it to sit a while. If the spittle remains floating on top of the water, you do NOT have candida. If it gets "stringy legs" going down into the water, you DO have candida. When I have had candida symptoms, this test has proven true. Also, I have read that if you have a white coated tongue, you have candida. Period.

This then causes a series of other problems for me. Hashimotos thyroidis, endometriosis, fibroids, PMS, Acne, brain fog, bad memory, insomnia, fibro, chronic fatigue and more so its really important to chew, chew chew. Still trying to fix all these problems. Whew
Niacin
Posted by Tom (Regina, Sk) on 09/22/2010
John: I note you are trying niacin for candida. It might very well work for you, but did you perhaps confuse 'niacin' with 'biotin', a well-recognized and used remedy even to many MDs?
In the yeast form, Candida reproduces by "budding", and at this stage is usually not invasive. However, in the mycelia or fungal stage, it forms long, "rootlike" structures that can penetrate the mucus membranes. Biotin, as a supplement, will discourage transformation to the invasive myceloid form of Candida. This explains why so many people who have a chronic, severe sinus infection have so much trouble getting rid of it! It is progressed to the mycelial form, and so is literally 'rooted' in there. As for dosage, searches show anywhere claiming from 2 X 500 microgram twice daily, to many saying you need 2 X 2500 microgram or even 2 X 5000 microgram capsules twice per day. This high dose will of course be only in the interim while you kill off the much nastier rooted mycelial form.

After taking 50mg of niacin several times a day, my mouth-focused candida is much better.
I make sure to keep it below 1000 mg/day. Undecylenic acid was recommended along with niacin, but I cannot find it at the stores. My mouth had geographic tongue, and sores all everywhere and especially after eating certain sugary foods things got tender, but now that I'm eating these niacinamide supplements, I can eat whatever I want again, and the big sores are gone and my tongue is back to normal. If I feel it starting to flare up, I chew up a pill and rub the niacinamide all over my tongue and lips and I can feel the fungus dying, and everything returning to normal. After months of suffering, I'm so glad to have it so much better, not perfect, but I just started 2 days ago, so what can we expect.

I also get tired, have gas, diahrea, joint pain, sore eyes, and many other problems when ever I eat foods with sugar. I tried the oil pulling starting about 5 weeks ago and at first had itchy rashes for a few days. This went away and I continue to oil pull twice a day for 30 min each. All my symptoms have decreased substantially, particulary the thrush (or whatever it is). I've been to doctors all over the country, have had tests from A to Z, and none have found anything. I oil pull with olive oil.

Candida Detoxing Symptoms
Posted by Bill (San Fernando, Luzon, Philippines) on 08/23/2010
Hi Tommy... When I had candida I had a white tongue but no stomach problems. I also had constant bloating and constant constipation. Don't forget that candida sufferers can have between 20-30 different symptoms -- and no two candida sufferer's symtoms will ever be exactly the same. For instance, one person with candida might have constant constipation(like I had) but another might have loose stools or constant diarrhea. I have also read many posts here with people who think they only have oral candida or thrush when they have a white tongue. But if they also have other fungal skin problems like psoriasis, dandruff, eczma, athletes foot or jock itch or intestinal problems as well, then I would immediately assume that systemic candida is present and treat it accordingly. The dangers and robustness of Candida should never be underestimated.

Hi everyone, Doctors aren't of great help and I feel a kind of pain over my left diaphragm and in my back. When I wake up in the morning, my tongue is coated with white thing ( Candida probably), and when I eat a food the white coat goes away and then comes back. I put oregano oil directly on my tongue and I saw in the mirror the white spot loosing its form ( Candida dying??). I started with hydrogen peroxide but sometimes I vomit. I don't know if there is a solution to this side effect. Also sometimes I do experience heart palpitations and I don't know if this is due to Candida or something else. I realized before that when I used to eat the jelly pudding, I felt that somethings is squeezing inside my esophagus and stomach. Could that be Candida or somethings else? Thank you very much and God bless you.

When I read about it on the internet, I thought of course this would work and used it myself and it did the job very fast and I still take it monthly for one week. I take it in capsules with my meals for all parasites.
Do not use di earth treated for swimming pools, anything else is fine. Also, I took a enzyme at night to get in my blood stream called cellulase, it digests the outer wall also. I would give you the name but this web site frowns up on that. Di earth is poorly absorbed so it mainly treats your digestive track but that is the main breeding and feeding ground for candida.

The reason you use a starch or sugar product with the diatomaceous earth is that is what the candida like to eat they come in contact with dt earth and die. The problem with many treatments such as drug or garlic and other herbs the candida are able to mutate and after a short time they become ineffective how ever this is not the case with dt earth or the cellulase enzymes that destroy candida's cell walls. Dt earth is very safe. You can also put in capsules and take with food. Or eat 3 2x2 pieces of bread a day and freeze the rest.
Ginger Tea

I am 36 yr. Old female curing my candida with ginger root tea. I use 2 tablespoons of peeled and diced ginger root steeped in 2 cups of boiling water. I drink this tea twice a day (morning/night.) It stops the growth of candida and cleanses the system as well. I happened upon a clinical study that showed ginger as an effective fighter against fungal infections and thought I would try it. I am pleased with how I am feeling after one week of my trial. My spit tests are coming out clear every morning and I do not seem to be suffering any die off effects (ginger has me eliminating 3 times a day, remaining solid as well)I am sleeping well, have more energy, can think clearly, and pain has almost gone completely.

To control candida you must change your body terrain as Ted says. First raise ph also candida is one of the bodies defense against mercury so you must detox yourself of mercury or have problems from mercury release when you kill the candida. Use untreated diatomaceous earth baked in a starch product like corn bread. Dt earth removes the coating on all parasites including candida use 1 tbs per pan mixed in to ingredients. Also use enteric coated oregano oil to kill in colon. Also use cellulase enzyme to eat candida coating then detox.
Apple Cider Vinegar

Baking soda is not made from, nor does it contain, corn products. You are probably thunking of baking powder, which is a mixture of baking soda, cream of tartar and a neutral starch such as corn starch. You may be able to find some gluten-free baking powders made with potato starch to use in baking. As far as any remedies though baking soda has no corn in it.

Actually, this is about the baking soda/apple cider vinegar/lemon yeast cure. I have a very very very bad allergy to all glutens.. Including corn. I recently learned baking soda contained or was made from corn when I had a horrible reaction to some gluten free cookies and for the life of me could not figure out the reason. Baking soda.. Was the reason. So, I highly highly suspect I have candida. The amount of classic symptoms I have are too many, including severe digestion and sinus issues since I was a little girl. Severe is an understatement. Chronic fatigue, ear issues, sore throats and recently severe lack of focus and much fogginess. Can This Ted person recommend a substitute for the cure containing baking soda... Please.. For a desperate person. I know Candida causes allergies, but we cannot cure it if I have a severe allergic reaction to the baking soda first.. And my intestines severely and catastrophically shut down, which is what typically happens. Also this boric acid, peroxide face thing. I cannot find a recipe for this or a step by step on how you are supposed to use it. (Recent red marks on face which seem to be a reaction to EVERYTHING... Sunscreen, powder, any type of makeup, face wash.. Etc. )

Caprylic acid has also worked for me. I was just on flucozanole for one month and didn't get better. I started back on caprylic acid capsules last night and today I have die-off, so I know that it is working. I also take oregano oil capsules with it--the double whammy. As for colloidal silver, I saw a man who took that and his skin turned silver and it will NOT go back to it's regular color. Stay away from that stuff!

Hi Joe... In answer to your questions:
Is Intracellular remedies more related to alkalizing for acid brain?
The lemon/lime and carbicarb remedies are perhaps the most balancing for your body and when you make the carbicarb remedies with citric acid, this seems to have more of an alkalizing effect on the brain. I was a bit of an insomniac and now I tend to use both the BS and lemon/lime remdies as well as carbicarb remedies in the evening depending on how I feel. And whenever I make the lemon/lime and BS remedies I always add a little bit extra BS to ensure an alkaline medium(the water). And if I need it more alkaline then I will add a little sodium or potassium carbonate instead.
How much of the lemon do you squeeze?
I squeeze the whole lemon, and if it is a small lemon then I squeeze 2 lemons and then add the BS. I'm quite tolerant of baking Soda, since I've been using it for a number of years now. I also take BS alone in water when necessary, useful for keeping your blood alkaline. That's the way I do it anyway and I've never had a bad reaction.

Is Intracellular remedies more related to alkalizing for acid brain? BS, potassium bicarbonate, magnesium citrate or BS and lemon. I think the acid brain is suspect with insomnia b/c I've been doing what Ted says with insomnia: removed all halogen exposures, 12.5mg Iodine daily, no emf's, , ,
How much of the lemon do you squeeze? (2 tablespoons )
I think the insomnia may be making me lose weight or the remedies have facilitated the krebs cycle with me thus, the weight loss.

Bill, Can I add magnesium citrate to the Baking Soda/Lemon?

Hi Joe... In answer to your questions:
So the citrate remedies are more for intracellular alkalizing tested by our saliva?
Absolutely right. Both citrates and potassium are necessary for intracellular activity. The potassium, together with the magnesium are necessary to help balance the calcium within the cell. And the citrate form helps to produce cell energy within the cell and the end product of citrates from the Krebs or citric acid cycle is carbonates, which are highly alkaline and help maintain a high pH and a healthy cell environment.
Does it matter when you take the BS / lemon?
The best time for me is to take the BS/lemon remedy in late morning and late afternoon, always one hour before or two hours after meals.
For extracellular what is some of the best common remedies?
The best and simplest is simply the BS(Sodium Bicarbonate) with half a glass of water. I use this one all the time. Sometimes I use 1/4 tspn Sodium Bicarbonate, 1/4 tsp sodium carbonate and 1/4 tsp potassium citrate -- this one seems to calm my brain down, make it less acid perhaps and helps with insomnia. This is, perhaps a good all round one to alkalize both the intracellular and extracellular eninvironments, but I tend to use the lemon/lime with BS the most since this is also very balanced.
Can one use BS, potassium bicarbonate, magnesium citrate combo for alkalizing extracellular?
Yes, you can mix these together without problems. But these will alkalize the intracellular environment more. Just take plain old baking Soda in water if you want to alkalize the blood.

Hi Joe... The question of alkalinity can be confusing. But you must also consider that there are two areas that you must alakalize -- the blood terrain(extracellular) and the cell terrian(intracellular). You can certainly have alkaline urine, which means that your blood may be alkaline, but this does not mean that your intracellular environment is alkaline. My favourite ways of alkalizine now are to just use Ted's lemon/lime remedies or to use Ted's Baking soda plus Sodium citrate and potassium citrate mix. Both of these will create the necessary citrates for intracellular alkalinity. Also, if you add magnesium citrate or bicarbonate to your protocol this will go further to balance the calcium and also help with increasing the alkalinity too. Anyway, here is another more in depth explanation that I found from Ted, which should help you to understand body alkalinity better:
https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/pH_questions.html#Question_2557
"The potassium is the primary method of getting alkaline pH. Actually, extracellular fluids is like a highway system where toxic wastes are rid of from the cells. So getting alkaline urine is important. The exception appears that if a person is deficient of potassium, then it's the intracellular fluids that is acid. Two intracellular fluids are required, magnesium and potassium, and traces of phosphate. In practice potassium will get you alkaline pH fairly quickly, but if the body's accessibility to buffers are limited due to circulation then a carbicarb is required to reach those. In any event, I don't use what present conventional medicine (in Europe, at least) and has long modified them to be a carbicarb potassium mix. Which technically speaking is a equimolar concentrations of carbicarb. A more powerful potassium is the tripotassium citrate. You have to realize that the alkaline bandwagon started in the early 1990s before it hit popularity with the internet around the late 1990s. However, I have been doing this since the late 1960s, and Dr.Carey Reams started somewhere in the 1970s. My idea wasn't even original one either. It was first suggested by Edgar Cayce the importance of alkaline foods found in vegetables, but I found that inconvenient and settled for baking soda instead. An Australian marketed Unique Water that had Magnesium bicarbonate to alkalized the intracellular fluids which I h ave known that long time before it was even patented. In any event, the primary vehicle to alkalized the salivary pH is fairly quick and I have noticed that you may not have even added potassium citrate (tripotassium citrate), or potassium bicarbonate to a large extent in the dosing in alkalizing, which is why the salivary pH still remains at an acidic range. It appears that the body remains low on potassium and perhaps another one was also ignored, which is the magnesium, preferably magnesium bicarbonate. In practice a magnesium bicarbonate doesn't exist in dry state so I would either use a magnesium citrate or a magnesium chloride to replenish electrolytic deficiency and imbalances in the intracellular makeup of magnesium and potassium. It takes a bit longer to alkalize the salivary pH as opposed to urinary pH. The lag time for urinary pH is only an hour or two, while a potassium pH lags about 12-24 hours. In effect, if regular frequent measurements and proper dose were observed, the potassium's effect of salivary pH would have been noticed anyway. A salivary pH of 5. 5 is a seriously distressed body. In any event, there IS a possibility where potassium has little effect on salivary pH. That has a lot to do with poisons added into our food where the body is seriously distressed in metabolic acidosis. That I found came from excitotoxins of aspartame that is now present in thousands of consumer products, including Gatorade, xylitol chewing gums, Clorets, Flintstone vitamins, many effervescent products (such as to reduce stomach acid) that required a much larger dose to neutralize these. Hence, to have any DENT on increasing salivary pH, excitotoxins, such as aspartate (e. G. Lithium aspartate, or anything with aspartate name), Monsodium Glutamate, and other amino acids of excitoxins should be avoided as if the neural system is destroyed, the body's natural restoration of pH is affected and both urinary pH and salivary pH is stubborn to change to more alkalinity. A long term metabolic acidosis, especially acid intracellular fluids has a much better chance ot becoming cancer causing. It's also interesting to note that hydrocarbon exposures such as benzene found in softdrinks from the use of sodium benzoate, which breaks down into benzene causes both metabolic acidosis and neural damage. Whatever the arguments, present researchers have a long way to go in understanding these pH issues. Issues such the body's electrical capacitance, electrical conductance, body's electrical potential, are other issues that had not given importance, the effects of difference buffering, and even something as simple as a electrolyte drinks are currently missign magnesium, the ignorance of the toxicity of lactates and lactose, the hydrocarbon causing metabolic acidosis, are some of the topics today's writers should cover but are only just barely even going beyond baking soda. Has anyone ever had a look at other kinds of buffers yet, besides bicarbonates yet? Such as carbicarb, citrates, etc.?

Bill - Re Your Updated Candida Protocol:
I have the symptoms that you experienced with Candida (constipation, eczema, dandruff, insomnia, sweet cravings, nail fungus). My urine and saliva is alkaline even though I don't eat a good diet. I have been doing Iodine, borax, sodium ascorbate, Sodium Thiosulfate, for fungus and metals. I'm alkaline but still have all the symptoms?
Boric Acid
Posted by Renee (New York) on 07/28/2010
For the past 3 months I have been suffering with BV & yeast infections. I've never had this problem before, at least not simultaneously. My Dr. has tried a few creams and nothing has worked. Most recently she prescribe Boric Acid suppository's for 14 days. This seems to be doing the trick however, I was just told by another Dr. (in the same office) that the Boric Acid might not be safe while I am breastfeeding. My daughter's pediatrician wasn't sure either. Can anyone clear up this contradictory information? It seems Dr.'s become numb when it comes to medicine & breastfeeding and I feel like I'm left to fend for myself. Thank you in advance for your information.

ACV, in addition to clearing up candida is excellent in bringing the body's ph into balance. Often the body becomes too acidic and becomes sensitive to aliments such as this. I use ACV often to maintain a healthy ph.
