Sea Salt

I tried Vitamin C - Cranberry Juice - and 2 teaspoons of sea salt in half a glass of water and oregano oil. That is the stuff I had around so I tried all of it. The salt did make me vomit but who cares. I drank some more and it stayed down. I sat in a bath for 1/2 a day because of pain. By the evening I was 75% better. Next morning I am about 85% better. The doctor is open on tuesday so we will see if I continue to get better. No coffee or chocolate or junk food. I always have to go on antibodics so this is cool.

An Alkaline diet and Oil of oregano will cure Chronic sinusitis and urinary tract infection. I would recommend that you consult your doctor for diagnosis of urinary tract infection in order to rule out more serious conditions and then take oil of oregano with concentrated cranberry juice. The best way to take oil of oregano is under the tongue but if you don't like the taste you can take capsules. You will feel it working. Oil of oregano is an antifungal, antiviral and antibiotic which makes it very effective against sinusitis etc.

I am a regular reader of earth clinic and am very grateful for all the information. I am thankful that I am able to contribute to this forum. I recently discovered Oil of Oregano (100% vegetarian). My internet search revealed that Oil of oregano was used to sterilize surgical utensils back in the 1950's and has been found to be useful in fighting infections that are resistant to penicillin. It is also said to be useful in treating sinus infections, bladder infections, candida and lung infections.
Urinate After Sex

I used to get bladder infections until I got the habit of going pee after sex instead of falling to sleep for the night. You don't need to rush out of bed to pee - but empty the bladder before falling off to sleep.

I have had bladder infections ever since I started to have a sex life. I studied a lot of resources on the net and have tried lots of things, and I want to share what works for me best. Ever since I learned that part of the reasons for getting a bladder infection after sex is that some natural bacteria from the anus are transported into the bladder area during sex, then they just get into the bladder really easily. There are 2 things that I always combine and never get a bladder infection. First I urinate within 15 minutes, and then I wash the genitalia very well in the shower to prevent those bacteria from spreading. By doing those things I feel confident that I took care of the prevention of the infection. It works 100% for me. And I am the person who used to get them every week or so.

My doctor told me not only to get up and urinate after intercourse, she suggested I do so in a shower, flushing with plenty of pure after after the fact. This resolved my almost life-long problem of getting UTI's frequently. Until recently. This onset I'm sure was caused by soaking in the bathtub. I had been adding bubble bath or water conditioners when I suddenly got a UTI after being free of them for several years. I knew immediately this was the cause. My recommendation is to shower for a few minutes after soaking in a bath to allow any soaps and bacteria to drain out. Cranberry juice helped the UTI but when the infection moved into my right kidney yesterday, I got really sick - fever, nausea, kidney pain. Not having any remedy available, I asked several friends to get on their knees and pray for me, which they did. This morning I am miraculously cured!
Avoid Spermicides

I recently started up a new relationship and at the same time started getting bladder infections, one after another. I finally figured out that the bladder infections were being caused by the spermicide in the contraceptive film I was using! At the same time, sex was becoming very painful. I think the chemicals in the spermicide was causing the vaginal walls to become sensitive -- raw feeling. As soon as I switched to condoms (without spermicide), no more bladder infections and no more vaginal pain. I bet spermicides may be one of the leading causes of bladder infections and women attribute them to something entirely different (like rough sex)..
Lemon

Fresh lemon cured my bladder infection! This may help those who find that cranberry juice/tablets don't work. I suffered from bladder infections for many years. I used to have it about every six weeks, and it was often triggered by eating food high in salt, sugar or fat, or drinking alcohol - it was a nightmare, I couldn't even have one glass of wine. I tried antibiotics, cranberry, everything - nothing worked. Sorting out my diet and cutting down wheat and sugar helped a bit, but I would still get the infection several times a year. Until I met a former fellow sufferer who told me to eat lemon wedges - as many as I could bear - next time the symptoms started. I followed her advice and I haven't needed antibiotics since! I still watch my diet but if I "have to" overindulge on food & drink, I have one or two lemons squeezed in a drop of water before going to bed and wake up right as rain. Interestingly, my sister, who is also prone to bladder infections, finds that cranberry works for her whereas lemon doesn't. For me it's the other way around, cranberry didn't do anything but lemon works in an instant. Hope this helps someone!

When I have problems 'down there' as I call it, I always break out the 100% juice cranberry juice. If you're really brave you can try 100% cranberry juice straight, my sister said it cleared it right up, but tasted awful.

I drink unsweetened cranberry juice the minute I feel a bladder infection coming on. It usually helps. Best not to add sugar to it, but it is extremely bitter!

I had a really bad bladder infection. While waiting for the date of the Dr. appointment I began to drink 2-3 8oz of 100% Cranberry Juice twice a day and within 3 days, the frequent urination had stopped completely.

In the past couple years I have suffered through lots of uti infections. I was going back and fourth to the gyno and everytime the gyno gave me antibotics which would work but then my uti returns with in weeks to months again. The doctors couldnt figure out why I kept getting them. I decided on my own to remedy. I take cranberry pills everyday. Also everytime after I have intercouse I pee and make sure I clean myself and luckily I have not had a UTI in almost six months I am so happy. I think antibotics do not solve the problem I think they make the antibotics make them worse. I belive in natural healing not drugs!

cranberry juice, peeing after sex and gatorade helped my reoccuring bladder infections. I drink 100% cranberry juice as soon as I feel one coming on and I also drink gatorade to help replenish my body during the infection. To prevent a bladder infection, I always pee before and after sex. Also, stay away from sugar during the infection.

My doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine once prescribed real cranberry juice for a bladder infection. The stuff worked like a charm and faster than antibiotics. Apparently, there is an enzyme in cranberries that makes the lining of the bladder slippery so bacteria cannot grab on to it. Hence, they are just flushed out of the body. Real cranberry juice must be used, though, not the Cranberry Cocktail kind.

I have had a handfull of bladder infections, and the minute I feel one come on I stock up on cranberry juice. I find that even when mixed with other juices, as long as it is primarily cranberry juice works well, you might just have to drink a little more of it. But it has worked for me every time.
