Chicken Cartilage

Regarding Arthritis Remedies and Chicken cartilege. I recently read a book written by Adam Huber of Salt Spring Island Canada called Red toe Red door. Mr Huber cured himself of ankylosing spondylitsis which is a crippling form of arthritis largely using the broth of chickens feet and vitamins b6 and b12. I think there's definitely something to this chicken cartilage cure.

Knox Gelatin, the unflavored gelatin that is found in grocery stores is chicken cartilage. Mix with orange or any type of juice to make it taste better and drink three times a day. I drink it and it's works well for me. I had pain going up and down the stairs or even a step. Bending, squatting any thing that involved the movement of my joints. I think it depends on how bad your arthritis as to how long it will take to cure or make it a lot better. It took about a week for me to not feel pain but only a couple of days to feel relief. I feel that my joints didn't get that way in a few days so I gave it time and it worked. I have heard of others taking longer, as in three to six months to completely stop feeling the pain but they got relief before that time.

Knox Gelatin is NOT chicken cartilage. Knox Gelatin is produced from pork. It will work to some extent (any gelatin is better than none), but there are better products out there. Real chicken cartilage gelatin is supposed to be the best because, as far as I know, it's the only was that has been used in scientific studies, so if you can afford it, by all means use that. However, there are plenty of reports from people who use pure beef gelatin with very good results. Also, pure beef gelatin is a lot cheaper.

Ginger
Posted by Mel (Calgary, Ab, Canada) on 03/17/2012

I have only checked out a few things in the last few days but so far I love it. I am a 50 yr old male and have really bad knees and arthritis all over the place. I have tried a few different things but the one that has worked the best is the candied ginger. I went and bought some and had a few pcs while I did stuff in the kitchen and had forgotten about it and noticed about 2 hrs later my knees did not hurt at all. I am also using the ACV and honey and will try oil pulling in the morning. So far very happy with everything. Thanks to everyone that has given these home remedies. Mel

In reply to: Margymckenzie from Mombasa, Kenya -

The part that is used by the supplement industry is the thick rubbery breastbone cartilage, that is in the middle of the breast, and can be cut off easily. CHICKEN STERNUM CARTILAGE.

According to clinical trials, a 10 milligram dose is as effective as a larger dose. This is a very small amount. But it can not be heat damaged, or cooked. Only low temperature dried.

However: I chop it up with a knife into fine pieces, put these into a blender with water, blend the chicken sternum cartilage to a slurry in the blender, then pour the blended cartilage water into a ice cube trays to freeze them into cubes. I then use 1 cube of iced slurry as a dose, one time per day. [for someone else]. I estimate each ice cube contains 10 to 100 miligrams of actual cartilage. Rough guess.

I find this method much easier than trying to dry the cartilage out and grind it up, due to spoilage problems, bacterial contamination.

I add the ice cube of raw chicken cartilage to a bone broth, etc, which has a flavor to it, to cover up the raw cartilage flavor. I do not let the cartilage get very hot, which would ruin it. But a hot broth, not boiling, should not harm its active principle.

The patient, has poly-arthralgia, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome, with symptoms changing daily; that it is difficult to judge how effective this has been for them. [probably from a fluoride based poison, ]

I hope this information is of help you.

Could you please tell me what type of Chicken Cartilage was used? There are so many different types online (powders, capsules, etc. )... Hydrolyzed, Denatured, Type I, Type II, ETC.... It's really kinda confusing! Thanks!

Journal article from nih says undenatured chicken collagen (type 2 collagen). See article at this link: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7222752/

So do not use collagen peptides which are denatured collagen or hydrolyzed collagen..i.e. collagen that has been broken down into peptides.

Boron

Boron helps certain types of arthritic joint pain. I take 3mg once or twice a day in pill form, along with Magnesium 400mg / D3 at 5,000 IU / and some Calcium (as I don't eat dairy). I know that taking CA is under dispute by some - but I find that I get muscle aches when I don't take it for a few days, so I must need it to some degree. I try to take less CA than I do MG however.

Boron is the key to relieving joint pain though - It is nothing short of amazing.

Google "Boron and Arthritis" to read about it. Lots of info here on EC too.

Borax

Hi Everyone... Here is a research paper by Dr Rex Newham, an Australian botanist and his own quest to discover the cure for his own arthritis at age 35 in the 70s and 80s. This is a demographic nutritional study, worldwide, which contains some very interesting facts and statistics about the demographic distribution of borax or boron in the soil. He also allays any poison fears about borax. He also gives good reasons why most modern soils today lack boron or borax in the food chain.

Poke Berries
Posted by Granny Laura (Waco, Tx Usa) on 03/03/2011
★★★★★

To Kathryn in Tulsa-- you are absolutely right about it being the wrong time for Poke Berries. There will probably not be any in the wild until mid to late summer. My late husband knew what Poke Salad (as he called it) was. I was a bit reluctant to eat something growing in the wild, especially if you had to boil it 3 times to get it tamed down enough to eat. I like my boiled Poke Salad best scrambled with eggs! It tastes much like strong spinach.

His father was born in the Oklahoma Territory and that is who he learned about Poke Salad from.

We lived in the country near Baton Rouge, LA when my husband spotted some growing wild behind the house. I live in Waco, TX now and there was some growing on a vacant lot down the street from me last summer so it grows quite prolifically in the central US for sure. Perhaps you can find some seeds online and plant them for plants and berries this summer.

If the powers that be have their way we will have laws passed banning all except very weak prescription vitamins (Codex Ailamentarium). We are going to have to learn how to survive with what we know about medicines from Mother Nature. People survived before synthetic drugs came on the scene, we may have to go back to natural cures.

I found this reference online"This plant contains chemicals called the "pokeweed mitogens" that are being studied for use in treatments of autoimmune diseases including AIDS and rheumatoid arthritis". Another site mentions using the pokeberry dye in their solar power units. Another site mentions making pokeberry wine for arthritis. I did not find any mention of seeds for sale but the best site I did find is by a herbalist and has a lot of comments from other people that use the berries for gout, children's medicine made as a tincture for a cold, assorted other things. That site was www.wisewomantradition.com/about.html. Google said there was over 50, 000 references to poke berries so you may find seeds online with some reading. Good luck in your quest.

i have found that to get rid of pain in many kinds of arthritis, pantothenic acid or B-5 is the bomb! you must dose it 2 500mg caps with every meal will get me out of pain in 3 or 4 days .i know they have done studies using as much as 10 grams a day without harm. the B-5 is somewhat stool softening. but it will leave the body every day. i don't have to take it every day, just when i hurt. i have been taking it for so many years, that if i catch the pain the first day and don't wait i can take 3 tabs in the morn and 3 at night and i am over it in 1 day. i have used this on many people over the last 10 years and it works even on gout. brenda

Homeopathic Hypericum
Posted by Bc (Fair Lawn, Nj) on 01/29/2010

My mom, who is elderly, had bad osteoarthritis in one knee, with pain, swelling, and limited range of motion. It would be severe at times. She started taking homeopathic Hypericum 30c 2 pellets twice a day for something totally unrelated.

The same day she started it, she was surprised to find that the swelling and pain in her knee was very much reduced, and she now had full range of motion. That night, she told me she got into bed bending that knee for the first time in years!

At first we thought it was just the change in weather, but it continued getting better so that she no longer needs a cane. She stopped taking it after two weeks, and the pain started to creep back, so she has started it again, with improvement again.

It was startling how fast the improvement was. We consider it a miracle, since we weren't even treating arthritis. It's nice to have a positive side effect for a change.

Fire Ant Remedy for Arthritis

Back in the day when doctors weren't readily available people who worked in the fields had to find ways of healing themselves. If someone has a really bad case of arthritis the best thing to alleviate the swelling and pain are bites from fire ants. This has been done in my family for four generations and has always worked.

I have been taking epsom salts all year every morning a few spinkles in my 500m water bottle (room temp water) and my aches and pains have all but disappeared. I remember my grandmother always put epsom salts in her tea each morning just a few sprinkles and she said so she did not get arthritus. Well I have to say I think it works but what I want to know is too much bad for you internally anyone know thanks.

Eliminate ALL dairy products if you have arthritis. Eliminate other mucous causing foods like flour as well. Arthritis is a disease of toxicity so it is about getting the bad stuff out more than anything else. Consider colonic irrigation if you are unable to do a juice fasting. If you eat meat, do so with proper food combining (do not eat protein with starch, eat fruit alone, etc.

Hi Art. Can you tell me how long it took to see the borax helping you. I've been on it two weeks now and can't tell any difference. I've also been drinking a tablespoon of vinegar in water with 1/2 tsp of honey each morning, separately from the borax. I have also suddenly got very sore muscles that ache all the time for the past 5 days. Did you have any symptoms like that before you got better?

Borax

Hi Art! I tested negative for both Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lupus, and was finally recently able to see a Rheumatologist, Who has told me he's pretty much positive I have Psoriatic Arthritis which he said was attacking my joints and my tendons (causing swelling and pain in my fingers and toes). I have not took ACV or Borax Since august 22 when I talked to you last. The doctor has put me on Methotrexate and temporarily on Prednisone because I now am in constant and lots of times very severe pain in places all over my body, but I would like to get off of them as soon as possible. Do you have any dealings with Psoriatic Arthritis? I understand it is different than RA and OA, but I'm not really sure about treatments being different. Thank you!

High Dose Magnesium, Vitamin C
Posted by Art (California) on 04/12/2021 2477 posts

Here is another translation of this post, but I think it is a very safe bet that these doses of magnesium and vitamin C are going to give you explosive diarrhea and this dose of magnesium is not safe for regular use:

>>>' I read an article about the beaks of a parrot by a priest who healed himself with magnesium and I thought to myself that I have nothing to lose by having a problem with my spine and hip, which 10 years ago a horse doctor told me would have to be replaced soon. I started to drink 2.6 grams of magnesium chloride in divided doses throughout the day and vitamin C. I took in 1000000mg. or 1 kg. And the same amount of vit C. It is hard to say now how long it lasted but I will not go to the doctor for more advice about my joints and spine because I walk normally and do not limp. I am walking normally and do not have a limp. If you do not work physically, you should exercise a lot. Currently, when I work a little, I lubricate the painful areas with DMSO and there is no pain. Multiple Remedies
Posted by Denise (True "Northern" California) on 04/15/2020

I have started to have arthritis in my hands. I had a shoulder pain awhile back and they did an ultra-sound/xrays if I remember right. Anyway, whatever they did I remember the doctor saying I had "some" arthritis starting. So I now am looking to EC to help with my hands. I now use ACV, lemon, ginger powder, Salt-water irrigation, on a daily basic for allergies mostly. But I also will take a swig of ACV for stomach upset after eating too much, or something that isn't nutritious. I have taken 800 mg of ibuprofen the last, two nights as the pain in my left hand was keeping me awake. I also put on icy/hot type junk I bought otc which I think helped a bit too. I refuse to live on ibuprofen the rest of my life (I'm 67) so I am looking for input on what you do for your arthritic pain specifically. There's so many things listed, and I have cayenne, ginger, and turmeric to make a little roll-on for pain. I hope that works instead of the ibuprofen. I already do the ACV 2 times a day. I guess really, all I want to do is talk to others that have this particular ailment, so I am posting here. Any feedback is welcome, but I do want to talk with folks that are using something that works for them. I read almost every day and know of tons of things to try, and mostly I find the "reads" here on EC. Thank you all in advance. I forgot to mention that I exercise regularly, but I am afraid to do weights now. I don't think I over-did them and mostly I just walk. I want to ride my bike but worry about using my hands for gripping. Which reminds me, I drop things often, and the strength is deteriorating. I love to dance, haven't for years now, but fearful now of ever dancing with a man because he might hurt my hands. If age is just a number, I feel I am 90 today ;(

Gallium Nitrate
Posted by B Jones (London) on 08/27/2019

Gallium nitrate as a cure for arthritis George Eby in Austin Texas has posted various articles about curing arthritis in people and navicular disease in horses using gallium III. Some of his research has been published in respectable journals. An internet search will easily find his sites, including a sales site. As there seem to be no known side effects I would be willing to try this at least topically (he recommends soaking an arthritic joint in his liquid gallium nitrate for an hour). However, he's elderly now and it doesn't look as though his site has been updated for a couple of years, though it will still accept money. No-one answers the phone or responds to emails. Does any chemist out there know how to acquire the necessary ingredients in the UK or how to concoct a similar solution? I can't find anything similar elsewhere.

Gallium Nitrate
Posted by Bethbs (UK) on 09/06/2019

Update. Eby Pharmacy did finally respond by email, though both telephone numbers are permanently on answer phone. If you want to buy his gallium from the UK, be aware the cost is high. In addition to the selling price USD250 for 500 ml of the 42% solution, express postage from the US is a further £58; then VAT and further handling costs are charged by ParcelForce in the UK to the tune of another £76.(2019) . I'd be interested to hear whether anyone has had any success using gallium.

Right now Wen, I'd give a bunch (if I had it) to be able to go to an Alternative medicine doctor. I do all alternatives, no drugs, myself. Kind of my own guinea pig but I've been helped so much so far. Now I'm developing arthritis (diagnosed with degenerative, and some arthritis about 2 years ago. I'm 67, active and eat balanced meals including fruits, vegetables, lots of water (bout my only liquid is water) I walk 6 miles a week average, and ride my bike double that probably. I also do free weights here at home at least 3 times a week. I also love to dance and like turning on my tunes and doing lots of stretches, bending and just moving to the beat ;) But I know as I age, my body will get deficient for the usual reasons. Can't get it all in the foods I buy, and I am not a perfect eater, although most days are very balanced. So maybe my arthritis would be a lot worse than it is, but even a little of it hurts like being kicked. I know people here know just what I'm talking about. I hope and pray we all find relief, and also, can somehow rebuild our bods, or at least stop the progress of the arthritis, etc.

ARETE,,,,,,,, as you probably know MSM is a result of combining DMSO with H2O2. DR. JACOBS did all the lab studies for Crown Z and he suggested taking MSM orally and topically followed with DMSO to take it to your joints. One of his products contains both MSM and DMSO and is available on line at Jocobs Lab.

I put 1/2 tsp of MSM in my coffee every morning and it does not affect the taste.

Organic Sulfur
Posted by Arete (Rancho Dominguez Ca) on 11/15/2016

Robert Henry- I did further research on MSM and according to a study, Cellular Matrix Study by Patrick McGean, MSM is inferior to organic sulfur. When we found an article about the 16 "deadly" additives found in MSM—the anti-caking additives, we realized why our early participants were not reporting any health improvements. These additives benefit only the packaging industry; our health is apparently a lesser concern to them.

And according to Dr. Mercola, MSM is only 34% sulfur by weight.

I still think the best form of sulfur is Organic Sulfur.

BOB, I don't know if you are addressing me or not. I have no clue what organic sulfur is. Sulfur is sulfur. My Tractor Driver and I both take MSM for joint aches. She increases her MSM if her joints ache. Seems to be a common sense thing. Try that and see how it works.

I thought it is 1 tbsp of flaxseed oil for every 2 of Cottage. In this post where this lady used it for arthritis, she refers to the Budwig recipe as being " a tablespoon of flax oil and a tablespoon of cottage cheese daily (the Budwig cure for cancer)....." Are the amounts different for arthritis vs for cancer?

Borax
Posted by Linden (England) on 03/22/2015

Hi there, Is there any reason to take Borax powder rather than boron supplements, other than the price? (The Borax powder is loads cheaper, obviously.)

I have arthritis. Boron supplements seem to come in no higher dose than 3mg capsules. I'm thinking of taking 4 x 3mg capsules daily (I have read that 10mg plus daily is recommended for curative purposes, then drop down to 3 - 6mg daily for maintenance). Will this give as good results as taking the diluted Borax powder at the recommended dosage? (I intend to take magnesium citrate at the same time - how much is recommended?)

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Oregano Oil

I believe I have the onset of arthritis in my hands, however that is not how I stumbled on to this remedy. One evening I woke up with a terrible throbbing pain in one hip. It would not stop with Ibuprophen, ACV or Tiger Balm. I've been using essential oils a lot in the past year and I also have strong faith so I said a prayer and sifted through my essential oils. I landed on oregano oil, I know it has strong medicinal value because it is a staple in thieves oil that I make. So I put 6 drops with a carrier oil (almond) and rubbed it directly into the area. Later I researched it and sure enough there were many articles on the effectiveness of oregano oil with fibromyalgia, arthritis, bursitis, joint pain. The pain went away rather quickly, 20 minutes. I put another dose before I went to bed and woke up with no pain. Funny thing the hand that I used to put on the ointment had no joint pain. The night before I had excess oil that I rubbed mostly into one hand. The other hand I did have pain in my joints. So this is definitely a keeper in my home remedy journal.
