Salt Water

For my tooth abscess, I swished with sea salt and warm water which drew out the infection. Then I used an ice pack this helped with the swelling and kept the infection from spreading. Ice pack 5 min. on 5 min. off. This keeps the infection from spreading into your jaw and cheek further. My dentist said I did the right thing until I could see him. My tooth looked perfectly fine, nice and white and the x-ray showed nothing wrong, but obviously there was an infection. I am taking a prescription by Green Stone antibiotic for a bacterial infection due to tooth abscess and the swelling is down. I am still using the ice pack, also

Dear Kat: In that case, before going to sleep take 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda with 1/2 glass of water. Also try to use baking soda as a mouthwash to neutralize the acid first before a clove oil peroxide. If a local store has a half a pound of powdered xylitol, a teaspoon of xylitol taken internally and used as a mouthwash can also help. For remineralization of tooth, some molybdenum supplements may help.

Warm Salt Water

Warm salt water works at onset of pain, I believe it prevents infection, I have yet to have worse pain after salt water, it just goes away. Hydrogen peroxide is an anticeptic and It works for my husband. As far as the antibiotics, unfortunately many people are allergic to penicillin such as myself as well as kefelx, so there is not a whole lot left that works on abscess tooth. There is e-mycin/biaxin, but they give me horrible stomach cramps. I think natural antibiotics are great, they work better for me. I prefer them over the harsh antibiotics that I am not allergic to.

Also, if you take a lot of antibiotics your body builds an imunity to those antibiotics eventually. That is why diseases, flu's, ect., are getting worse, they are becoming resistant to antibiotics. It also strips away the bio-flora in the lining in your stomach, which can cause a long list of health problems itself, yeast infections, reflux..

however, if it doesnt get better and reoccurs frequently you should not play around with not seeing a dentist, a tooth infection untreated can easily infect the blood stream, causing septicemia, weakening the heart, and could kill you.

Multiple Remedies

My tooth that had a filling in it broke apart and all that's left is the filling that's stuck in the gum. Anyway, it started hurting hours ago, so I did 3 things:

1) Drank a cup of my own urine. I held my nose and drank it quickly. This is a known cure.

2) Took an ice cold shower for one minute. I'm in Burlington, Vermont, and it's October, so it was very cold. This is hydrotherapy. After the cold shower, I slowly turned the water to warm but kept my head away from the water. A wonderful feeling of relaxation came over me.

3) Visited your site and saw that baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) was recommended for tooth/gum pain. So I poured about a tablespoon of it on my hand and put it right on the tooth/gum where it hurts. Minutes later, the pain left.

Thank you for your website. You are a blessing for doing this! Praise God for your efforts because you're helping people get well. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Magnesium

Hi, I've recently begun taking Magnesium Citrate in powder form on a near daily basis along with blackstrap molasses. I'd had a very painful toothache for several weeks (in addition to or resulting in an earache..) and without dental insurance I really can't afford a dentist. After about 3-4 days of taking a teaspoon of magnesium the pain was completely gone! I also no longer have any sensitivity from sweet or very hot/cold foods and beverages. I've made this remedy part of my daily routine and hope to discover more health benefits of this great mineral.

This brings me to something I hoped perhaps Ted or another reader may shed some light on; I came across something called Transdermal Magnesium Therapy which allows the body to absorb magnesium through the skin, and it's supposedly superior to oral supplementation. Several articles mention that magnesium chloride is the preferred form, although they don't describe the application method. They only refer to Magnesium Oil which is a little pricey. Is there a homemade version of this therapy? I appreciate your help, thanks in advance!

Bentonite Clay

Montmorillite form of Bentonite clay. I had an absessed tooth that broke off. The absess was not really painful but my dentist advised a root canal because the tooth was dead. How I wish I would have tried the clay first and just had a temp crown put on. I continued to have a soreness at the root. The pocket of infection had been there for years. I didn't want to do the antibiotic thing or have more work done, so I tried the clay. I simply tucked a pea sized bit of clay with a bit of cotton up at the root where the pain was. The next morning it was somewhat better. I continued for months until every bit of the soreness was gone. It took time but I just know I probably could have healed it without the root canal. I still do it once in awhile because I know dead teeth in your mouth infect the body eventually, per Dr. Weston Price. The one advantage?...It takes almost no effort to do.

FORGET THAT ROOT CANAL & SUPER SORE SWOLLEN JAW!

Abscess tooth WITH SUPER SORE swollen jaw.

This recipe is famous for getting that abscess down (even beneath a crown tooth)

3 parts Slippery Elm, 2 parts baking yeast, 4 drops cloves, 1/3 teaspoon cayenne pepper, and open two activated charcoal capsules and mix..

Add a little water enough to make a paste. It will be gummy due to the slippery elm. Then pack this mixture around the gum. The slippery elm, and charcoal, draws out the inflammation, the cayenne stimulates the cells around the tooth to release toxins and the cloves are added as a pain remedy, especially toothache. repeat every three to four hours as needed.

NEXT: Back it up by taking two capsules of turmeric in the AM and also two in the PM..TILL SWELING AND PAIN GO AWAY.

MAN MY TOOTH WAS SO SORE THAT I COULD NOT CLOSE MY MOUTH (ate soup and mash potato's) AND (DAY ONE) WITHIN HOURS I GOT SUCH RELIEF.......

AND BY THE END OF (DAY Three) totally healed!

INFECTION HAS NOT REOCCURED FOR OVER TWO YEARS NOW....

THANK THE LORD FOR NATURAL CURES.....

PS: Also now daily as a natural antibiotic and as an immune booster /antioxidant.

I mix one heaping tea-spoon of cayenne pepper into one cup of tomato juice and drink in the am and another cup before bed in the pm..

This great tasting treat will gently purge out your whole system and will enhance your total physical and emotional health...(hey guys it has an effect on us even better than viagra).

PPS: cancer cells under a microscope hate this mix as well!

Best wishes for better health!

Honey

Apparently, there are three types of sugar. Glucose, fructose and sucrose. Sucrose is the only kind of sugar which is detrimental to the strength of your teeth. The other two turn out to be good. They trap bacteria and do other good stuff. I don't know all of the technical, scientifical (I know it's not a word, but it should be) theory behind it all, but I have tried this remedy myself and it works! I had a sore tooth for months. I had to stop rinsing my mouth out with hydrogen peroxide because the pain was unbearable. I bought some local honey and started eating a lot (two tablespoons with my coffee in the morning and more here and there when I had the time. Up to probably 10 tablespoons a day. I like honey, so this was easy. I don't think you need that much though. I also chewed on some honey comb that was in the jar. Not sure if that helped either, but it was a good gum substitute. Anyway, my pain is completely gone now and I can rinse with hydrogen peroxide! God bless!

Calcium, Magnesium, Vitamin C

Tooth abcess and Alkalizing diet For Susan 3/3/08. I don't take medication. So I did some research and found a cure for my abcess tooth. All day long I took Calcium, Magnesium, and Vitamin C.... I would take these pills or liquid hourly. In about 18 hours swelling was gone. (The exact amount I took, sorry can't say for sure.) Once swelling goes down get back to Dentist. Alkalizing your body. The best and most healthy way is through a vegan diet. Raw fruits and vegs. This diet also heals most disease.... Good Health
