Dry Mustard

I have had fantastic results treating mites and sores that won't heal with dry mustard. What I do is mix 1 teaspoon cold water to 1 teaspoon dry ground mustard. Stir well. Let stand for 10 minutes. Then add about 2 teaspoons coconut oil and mix well. Next add 2-3 ounces of a good lotion, mix well. Then I add about a teaspoon of glycerin and mix well. The dry mustard will burn your skin if too much is used. I also mix the mustard mix with a antifungal shampoo (head and shoulder). Wash my entire body and hair with shampoo mix and let stay on skin a few minutes. Rinse well. After drying off I put the lotion mix on my entire body. I have used lotion several times a day at the beginning. I put it on my face at night, putting thick on eyebrows. Right before bed, I lightly put on eyelashes. But be careful if you use by eyes. Mustard will burn the heck out of your eyes if it gets in or very close to them. Store bought Prepared mustard will not work. And I will repeat: MUSTARD CAN AND WILL BURN YOUR SKIN IF USED TOO STRONG.

Biting and Crawling Mites
Posted by Rebel (Somewhere, Usa) on 04/13/2014

My guess would be you will soon find out that you must kill these critters from the inside of the body. The black spots or specks are in my opinion blood born pathogens. One can rub different stuff on infected area and have these black specs come out and you may be killing the adults. I believe they hatch from eggs and the only way to kill the eggs is from inside the body.

When I treated myself, I had some success with a little of everything. But, what seemed to work and caused DIED OFF completely, after using Cayenne Pepper. I took 35000 heat units and start with a 1/16 teaspoon maybe 3 or 4 times daily and work up to a teaspoon a couple times daily. In 60 days, my black specks seemed to be gone. No more at all.

Also alkaline body defeats disease. So I alkalined with baking soda, a couple times a day.

Biting and Crawling Mites
Posted by Kathyk (Thousand Oaks) on 06/19/2016

Hi - I've had the mites for years. I just identified it after 10 years as I saw them, somehow miraculously, crawling out of my computer one day. Had it identified as the Cheyletiella mite. If you have pets, go online and do the full protocol with a pet dermotologist for getting rid of these mites. And then go get your self the cedar oil. It's a friggin miracle. To start getting relief immediately, get Revolution and put it on your pets every two weeks. But you will need to do more than that to get rid of the problem, if you have pets. So that's why I recommend going to a pet dermotologist about it. If you don't have pets, then go immediately to get the cedar oil online. It's expensive, but totally worth it and worth the time, aggrevation and money you will spend on a whole host of other treatments that don't work. Trust me because I've been at it for years. I finally moved out from the house with pets about 4 weeks ago and the mites followed me. Just got the cedar two days ago and it has been working wonders so far... I can't even believe it. Please.. don't waste your money on all the other crap. Go get this cedar oil stuff and use Revolution and your nightmare will be over.. if it is indeed the Cheyletiella mite. Please don't be discouraged by what you read online about these mites. Your experience is probably 10 times worse than what is online about a human experience. My bug expert said the stuff online is only general information. So it is probably the Cheyletiella mite that is harrassing you. Good luck and stay strong.

Dear fellow sufferers,

l still can't believe it, but l am sitting here with no itches. I lucked onto this radio broadcast online of a woman who cured herself of Morgellons, caught after her daughter rescued a wild bird. She suffered thru over $10,000 of medications and stated her docs were at their wit's ends with her. Thru her medical contacts, she was given a remedy for infectious disease from an aromatherapy practitioner. She took it for a long time because she didn't know to kill the mites in her environment. It worked, because she kept taking it until she no longer had any itches or sores show up. One marvelous thing is that after only the first day of treatment, wonderful healing occurs. This is the remedy to take: essential oils from the health food store.

clove oil, cinnamon cassia (bark) oil, oregano oil, lemon oil, red thyme oil, and rosemary oil.

Use 5 drops of each oil in just a little water, take it 3 times a day.

Even the first night after l did the treatment, l had only taken 2 doses, but l sat there and suddenly realized all my itching had ceased. It was a warm night, l had been exposed to a large bunch of them, but -total calm.

If you want to hear the interview, look up horokane interview on Morgellons. By the way, l took this after a meal, as clove oil is strong, but l did not get an upset stomach, in fact, the opposite occurred. Best wishes.

Tea Tree Oil

I mix equal parts of Tea Tree shampoo with 100% strength tea tree oil in a small bottle. Then, I step into the shower, pour about 1/4 ounce into my hand, then work through my hair (very short), massage my face, eye lids, eyebrows, ears and neck. I leave in place for 2 minutes, then turn the water on and rinse off. I repeat this once more, then continue with the shower. I shower like this twice a day, once before work and once before bed.

My blepharitis is clearing up. The skin itching and crawling sensation has stopped. I read that I should continue this for at least 4-6 weeks, then maintenance, to kill and keep the Demodex from returning.

Tea tree oil is very strong, but you get used to it after the first few times. It is worth the hassle to get rid of Demodex.

Sulfur/sulphur is not the same as sulfa. Being allergic to sulfa doesn't mean you'll be allergic to sulfur. Sulfur is a natural element that we get through food and shouldn't bother you (although gluten is natural, too, and some folks have celiac disease). But, you should be alright using sulfur-based soaps.

Cayenne really helps, I drink it every day in a soy/black tea mixture. I also add EmergenC and some tumeric. I drink it on ice, it tastes good. Also, I use a liquid band aid over the mite burrows which stops the hatched mites from escaping. It takes a few days of keeping the spots sealed but they will eventually die and heal up.

When I was working in a southern state 10 years ago, I got bird mites on my skin and it took a couple years to get them off my body because I had no idea what was happening to me and what to do about it. I thought that I would never again get these terrible mites on me!

Late last fall, our outside cat brought a dead pigeon into the one area of the house where he was allowed, which was separated by a screen door leading into our living quarters. Our indoor cat liked the outside cat and would sit near the bottom screen of the door on the other side watching him. She was not allowed in the same room with our outside cat. I wrapped the pigeon into the rug and discarded it into a large white garbage bag outside. We found a new home for our outside cat before winter set in late last fall.

Then, late last year, our indoor cat started running around the house, biting and pulling fur out of her skin. She would do this early mornings and late nights. I suspected mites, but was not absolutely sure. I also started to allow her to sit on my lap, which was not wise. When she expelled soft vomit with many tiny eggs in it, during the month of February, I suspected mites--probably got them from our outside cat since she sat at the screen door when he was in the mud room watching him. We took her to the vet but forgot the stool specimen and the vet treated her for tapeworms. But we watched her stools after that treatment and she did not expell tapeworms. We were told that cats do not get mites in this dry climate. How wrong they are! My doctor told me that I had scabies and I told him I did not have scabies because if I had scabies, why were they also in my head, my eyes, my ears, my nose and my mouth?

The next week, guess what? I got all this movement in my back and knew, without a doubt, that I had bird mites again. To make a long story short, I have had to deal with this situation for almost three months. I've tried many things, but I will share here what has been working for me in the last week to the point I feel almost free of them and believe that if I prevail, they will be gone soon!

1. We purchased a fogger on the internet with a gallon of cedar oil and fogged our cars and our home more than once. This product really killed them dead!

2. I purchased sulfur and added one t. To 4 ounces of Vaseoline Intensive Lotion for dry skin. It helped eliminate many of the mites, but I use only occasionally now because it dries my skin out badly.

3. Starting this past Sunday, I have taken a sauna every day and will continue the saunas for another two weeks. I take a 20-30 minute sauna, temperature 160-180 degrees. Then I rest outside the sauna for 20-30 minutes, drinking water, and taking a cool shower. I go back into the shower after the 20-30 minutes outside of it and go again for another 20-30 minutes. I feel like I no longer have the mites in my skin, and the sauna has greatly strengthened my immune system.

5. I realized since this came on me in February, that my body probably was acidic due to my faulty lifestyle. I started to walk daily in the sunshine and fresh air, got my 7-8 hours of sleep per night (I will explain how I finally was able to sleep peacefully. ), and started increasing my food intake to an alkaline diet. Now my pH is averaging 7. 3 and higher any time I take it throughout the day.

4. The reason I was having problems sleeping was because I worried that they would bite me all over my body and I'd have more eggs to deal with. Then I purchased some diatomaccous earth from a company that uses. 5 percent silica in their DE. I used it as powder, carefully putting it on my body every night in the tub that has sliding glass doors. It makes less of a mess doing it this way. Before I go into the shower, I put down paper towels the full length of the tub. Then I step into the tub, leaving my thongs on the outside of it. I use a large cinnamon container with holes on the top and when I turn it over in my hand to get the "powder" out, I cup the container in my hand and shake my hand, not the container, to avoid the powder going into the air. Then I start at my feet and carefully hand powder from feet up, of course, tipping the powder container over and over. I put it on my scalp and put a shower cap on my head. I should mention that I use Jan's (I believe her name is Jan) mixture with 2 oz. Coconut oil, 2 oz. Collodial silver (minimum 50 ppm) but mine is 250 ppm, so I use one ounce of my collodial silver and one ounce of water, making it 125 ppm, 1 oz. Red liquid liniment, 1/2 vitamin E oil, 1/2 t. Of MSM and 1/2t of clove oil which is mixed up in an 8 ounce container. I put this all over my body and let it soak into my skin before adding diatomaccous earth each evening. This leaves my skin soft and not dry in the morning when I shower after having used the diatomaccous earth the night before. I re-oil my skin with Jan's Remedy after showering in the morning. The neat thing about using the diatomaccous earth is that I take this powder container to bed with me and when I feel one crawling somewhere on my body, I put a little in my hand and place it on top of where I felt the movement--the movement ends. Most of the time I do nothing, I feel them and suddenly I do not feel them--they are dead! I don't know if DE should be used this way, but it works for me. This is food grade DE with. 5% silica which makes it safe for breathing. I still wear a mask to protect my lungs, but there is very little in the air using the bathtub with sliding doors like I do.

If I could find something else other than the use of DE to cover my body at night while I sleep peacefully--and I do sleep peacefully and there are no added bites anywhere on my body in the morning--I would use it. But I have not found anything yet.

I am going to try mustard when my mustard order arrives in a few days. Tomorrow I am going to make a spray with peroxide, borax in a 8 oz. Garden sprayer, adding one tablespoon of Milk of Magnesia since the Milk of M. Is highly alkaline to see if this helps as I read on earthclinic. com 07/16/10 by Bill from San Fernando.

I hope some of this will help someone else out there. I find this situation very discouraging, but now I am highly hopeful because the saunas has especially helped rid my body of them.

Mustard Powder

I have been suffering with an infestation for 7 months now. I've tried so many things and spent so much money and nothing seemed to make a difference. That was, until I was directed to this site and Toni's post. I was actually on the right track and didn't know it. I had been doing a mustard bath product every night for about 2 months. I would watch the bugs rise to the top of the water in the bath and was sure it would make them go away. The problem was, they were still laying eggs and hatching during the day before I did the mustard bath again. Now, since adding the regimen of the mustard powder in my shampoo, body wash and adding it to DMSO, something Ted had mentioned on the site, I am seeing a measured improvement. I am on day 8 and hope to beat Toni's 6-week time getting rid of them. The obstacles that remain are treating my ears, eyes and finding a lotion that can keep the mustard powder moist throughout the day. I'm having to retreat 2-3 times a day at work.

Multiple Remedies

Hi, Firstly I wanted to say thank you to forums like this, where people can share their experiences, without which I would have probably gone mental and contaminated my body with more harsh chemicals! I'm not free of these mites yet but I seem to be on the mend (touch wood) and also wanted to share what has helped me so far.

I think I'm onto my fourth week of hosting these little buggers but have been actively trying to get rid of them for the last two. Not sure where I picked them up from. I did some volunteering with homeless people but also slept on friends' couches and was around different people over the festive season... Who knows! These mites do not discriminate. I should've gone to the doctors sooner than later though... Even if they were not so certain...

So, one dose of Permethrin didn't work. After reading comments on this site and a million others, two days after the slather of permethrin I set out to look for SULPHUR SOAP, TEA TREE OIL, BORAX and NEEM OIL. Unsuccessful in securing the latter 2 within supermarkets/pharmacies.

If you live in the UK (or London at least) don't bother scouring the shelves for Borax. Shops don't sell it anymore (not even Boots), the usual health & safety talk. You can get it online though (i haven't tried it yet).

Unfortunately I dont have the luxury of a bath. A good soapy lather of sulphur suds all over your body for a few minutes, day and night seems to have helped so far (it has also been amazing for my skin! But you need to moisturise after as it dries it out) After showering I'd put Tea Tree oil neat on lesions and bumps. Stings like anything on the lesions! But gradually subsides. My lesions seem to have joined, from all the scratching, so I've got big ugly blotches on my trunk. Try not to scratch and don't scrub your body too harshly either. Once your skin breaks you're open to secondary infections.

If I feel the lesions need a break I don't have the second shower but will still rub something over them. They wont heal if it keeps getting wet and I rebreak the skin. I eventually stopped putting neat Tea Tree Oil on them as I think it was perhaps too strong for the lesions that seemed to be taking a while to heal. Instead I mixed a few drops with aloe vaseline lip balm and smothered that on. Other than smelling like a tub of vicks it really helped!!

By day 6 the crawling sensation and need to scratch seemed to pick up again. I figured that it was hatched mites (7 day cycle or whatever! )I was even feeling them on my eyelashes.. YUCK! Frustrated I slathered on the second tube of permethrin. Regretted it because I felt some side effects but it has probably helped me to get to the stage I'm at now.. However the side effects although slight were scary.. And everything else I've read about it.

A day after the 2nd slather I purchased some Neem Oil and Neem and coconut cream online from NeemTeam. I continue to shower with sulphur soap. For bedtime I rub Neem Oil all over the infected areas and for the day I use the cream. It doesn't smell as bad as I thought it would (I read in many forums about the stench). Actually it just smells very nutty.. Not the nicest nutty smell but it could be a whole lot worse!!

It's day 7 again and I've been on alert for new bumps, the increased need to scratch or crawlies etc. So far... So good. The lesions are healing too. Much less need to scratch now and near zero with the crawly feeling. I initially thought the advice about 1. Washing everything everyday, 2. Not wearing anything twice, 3. Getting a plastic cover for your mattress was excessive.. But it isn't.

I had not been as militant in the first week.

I don't have time or the facilities to wash everything everyday so before the evening shower the days clothes go into a plastic bag kept away from everything else. Some people might mistake me for an employee of the laundrette now... But who cares. Hot wash and hot dry!!

I've bagged the clothing I don't wear as often, the duvet, pillows etc and stored them away (ie no longer in my room). I've isolated the clothes I'll likely wear to one closet, so that I'm not having to go through all my drawers etc. Never one to iron, I now have an iron LOL. I've read a few times about the mites not liking extreme heat/cold so I'll iron the sheet I sleep in if I can't manage to get it wash and dried. I'll iron clothes if I feel I need to. It's winter at present so for once I'm happy to get a good chill over me now and then. I just picture those mites getting a good shock!

I'm using the plastic side of an inflatable bed to sleep on top of my mattress and my sleeping bag to keep me warm. I've read a few times about the mites not liking the plastic and how they can burrow into your mattress and come back to feast on you when you return to bed. GROSS! At least I can scrub the plastic and put the sleeping bag in the drier.

My room gets hoovered at least twice a week, I sprinkle soda crystals and shake and vac on the floor before so. Thats probably excessive and I don't know if it does anything but you start to do these things lol. I've noticed a lot of dry skin on the floor (its a dark colour) due to peeling from the lesions as they heal and dried out bumps so its been another reason to hoover more often.

And don't wear your hair out, especially if you have long hair. Those buggers will crawl up and onto your scalp. I started noticing the crawling sensation on my head after the first permethrin tube so I started washing my hair with the sulphur soap too. That's worked.

I'm eating more healthy foods and keeping a positive attitude too. This is definitely helping to keep up the regime and hopefully will get rid of these mites sooner than later (when I read people had it months I nearly cried). Looking back to December I think my immune system was low - lethargic and all!

I've got olive oil, olive soap and grounded tumeric on standby... And will need to buy another bar of sulphur soap soon. I'm building up quite a collection..

While I can't wait to be rid of these mites and the scarring, I'm grateful that it has turned me to sites such as this and made me aware of the natural products I'm now using on and in my body. It's something I am going to continue with even after the mites are gone.

Hi Bill: One of the millions who suffers from mites and worms. My question on your solution that killed your mites, how much HP 3% did you add to your 8 oz container? I have been using undiluted HP3% for 3 yrs and it seems to help some but I have a little 13lb dog so have to be careful what I use on her. Your solution sounds so simple because I seem to have come very close to getting rid of them and yet, they are very much alive. I'm 89 female and back is a mess so I can't vacuum as often as needed and I know that is very important. I also used Kleen Green and it helped some but caused my dog fur to fall out from their direction. Thank you so much for your time. Eve

Regarding...

..."Diane from Berkeley, Ca replies: "Fran: Those sound very much like bed bug bites. They typically come in groups of 2's to 4's, and when irritated can have a "ring" around them like you mention. You may have an infestation. I don't have advice as to a cure..."

I just wanted to add that the cure to bed bugs is diatomaceous earth sprinkled everywhere...

For Demodex mites the cure for me is Tea Tree Oil rubbed into skin ... Patiently day after day for 60-90 days... And Mustard added to conditioner for my scalp. Mustard is 1 tsp mixed with 1 tsp water and added to 18 teaspoons [or 6 tablespoons] of conditioner or lotion or whatever you want to use depending on where you want to apply. Can also add to shampoo. I leave the conditioner on 20 minutes simply because that is how I like to condition my hair.

Also Diatomaceous Earth on mattress, pillow etc... It works when dry not wet. I think this can be used on pets too. It is edible. Only use Food Grade quality.

Sorry that this doesn't fit under Borax properly but I really want to give the answer to bed bug infestation.. And add my own experience with Demodex mites. Please feel free to replicate anywhere you prefer.

Really appreciative of the advice here. I had the same issue... Picked up mites from infected furniture. Have sealed the couch-can't put it outside.

Been using all the suggestions here and wanted to share something that has helped me turn the corner to stop the crawly/itchy sensation: sulfur8. It's for dandruff; readily available at the drugstore. I read on a medical website that sulfur kills mites, and it seems to be true. A word of caution, the menthol in this stuff is a bit powerful for a while after you put it on. Once the menthol wears off, you'll smell like the tip of a match and feel pretty greasy. And, be prepared to be disgusted. I had not actually seen the mites until they came off the surface of my skin, suffocated by the petrolatum and sulfur in this ointment. Quite gross. And effective! I will continue to do this each night until the itching is totally gone. Night #2, and so far, so good. Almost no itchies today during the day.

Now, how to deal with the couch... It's leather, still tightly sealed in plastic... Any ideas short of tossing it out?

Also diffusing Organic essential oils of Lemon and Pine through out the rooms will kill off pathogens within 30 minutes to 1 hour. I also agree with the Diatomaceous Earth. I took it internally for about 40 days and it does kill off parasites. I heaping teaspoon morning and night in a small amount of water, followed by another 4-6 oz. of water. This stuff does dehydrate you so keep your water levels going.

Lamp Oil, Borax

I knew we had mites cause they got on our parrot. the cage had some cobwebby looking things form and I sent these off to the university of texas for id. They said it was a rat mite, D Gallinae/ One Swedish study reported D. Gallinae can live nine months without a host.

Possible Bird Mite Infestation symptoms:

* Pinprick bites with or without lesions
* Frequently intense itching of the skin
* Vague sensation of crawling on the skin
* Bite marks and lesions that heal very slowly
* Increase of symptoms in certain areas of the home
* Increase of symptoms at night and in humid weather
* Physician suspects scabies but the treatment does not help.

I know they are dead, because I'm not getting bit anymore. After I went thru the house, I'm now going back thru and washing contents of drawers, linens stored for awhile, hanging clothes I havent worn in awhile, and trying to treat any and everything that may not have been treated in awhile. Thank goodness for the hints and tips from readers, like running the wash cycle longer to allow the borax to have time to kill them. It is worth it to read every single letter in this mite infestation page and scabies page. There are some smart ideas coming in. I just loved how fast the lamp oil worked. You could wash it off after an hour if you wanted. I just had so many of the dadburned things on me.

Yogurt With Cinnamon

I have been having skin problems for over a year, since I moved into my apartment--itching, burning, and finding tiny bites all over, especially on arms and legs. When I would sit at my computer I could feel invisible things biting my feet and lower legs. The "bugs" are invisible, but sometimes I would feel something like a grain of sand.I'd sometimes have a tiny grain in the corner of my eye, also. Also the beltline area of my body was very red and itchy.

To come to the point, one of the latest things I have tried is plain yogurt with a little ground cinnamon. I took a couple of tablespoons of plain white yogurt (not sweetened) and mixed in about a teaspoon of ground cinnamon and put a little bit on my skin and rubbed it in. I started with the lower part of my right leg and rubbed hard. After a few minutes tiny black specks seem to appear that look like very short black hairs. I kept rubbing and after five or ten minutes a large amount of whitish "debris," like flakes or grains, starts falling off of my skin. I don't know whether it's just flakes of dead skin falling off or some kind of mites or parasites that had been inside my skin that have come out and are falling off. I did the same thing on my other leg and my feet and arms and as much of my back I could reach. In some places there was a large amount of white "debris" that came off my skin and in other places I didn't notice any. The whole process can take some time. When I was done I rinsed off my skin and it felt and looked extremely soft and clean. That was last night. I did feel a couple of biting sensations during the night, but that was all. Also, when I got up this morning my legs were no longer swollen. They had been swollen for the past year.

I also had been noticing long indentations or lines that would appear on my arms and legs for the past six months. They would come and go. I still have some of those on my upper legs.

I went to a doctor yesterday and tried to explain my skin problem. She insisted that it's just a skin allergy and prescribed hydrocortisone. She also said when bathing to use a very mild soap such as Dove and not to use hot water, and for laundry, to use hypoallergenic detergent and not to use fabric softener. She didn't even examine my skin. I have many visible tiny bites on my arms and legs, and some larger bites on my body--I don't think those could be caused by an allergy! I told her that if I put a little hand sanitizer on my arm and rub it gently, I start to feel soft granules. She said that just means I'm allergic to the sanitizer. I showed her two small rows of bites on my lower leg, and she said those were scratches.

Another strange thing: During the past year I have thrown away some underwear, clothing, and even blankets that had mysterious "lint" on them, sometimes dark, sometimes pale blue, sometimes reddish, sometimes white. Once I had a hand-knitted white wool sweater. It looked clean, but when I held it up to the light, I saw that it was covered with very pale blue lint, especially clustered along the seams. I threw it away.

A couple of months ago, to keep my couch clean, I had a pale pink blanket on it. I put a clean, white, padded mattress cover on it and put a clean off-white sheet over that, and was sleeping on the couch. I left it that way for perhaps a couple of weeks. I'd been having itching problems. I took the sheet off and was surprised to see that the mattress cover seemed to be disintegrating and was full of small reddish pieces of lint. There had been nothing in that area that was reddish. My couch is moss green. After that I would sometimes find reddish lint in my clothing or underwear that seemed to have some connection to my itching. I know that it doesn't make any sense.

Also, bathing in very hot water twice a day with about two cups of borax and 1/2 to 1 bottle of hydrogen peroxide helped a lot. I did it for a few days. When I skipped one evening, I started to have itching again. I also have tried a deep cleaning salve that I got online, and it helped, but I ran out of it.

I'll mention also that I almost always wear something only once and then wash it. I always use hot water and use borax in addition to laundry detergent. I have tried other additives in the past: ammonia, bleach, vinegar, or disinfectant. I vaccuum frequently; I rented a carpet cleaner and cleaned my carpet. I washed the vinyl flooring. I bought an air purifier and have used that, also, to try to keep the air clean.
I think I have conquered the problem. Mainly, I wanted to share the idea of yogurt with cinnamon--at least it doesn't hurt to try it.

You need to buy some diatomaceous earth, FOOD GRADE only!! Look on line to find a place near you that sells it.. or buy on line.. FOOD GRADE only.. spread it througout your home and car.. within 3 to 4 weeks they will almost be gone.. I promise you.. I have had them for 13 yrs.. until I tried DE.. I can feel them if I don't keep the DE down in my house, I also put it on myself in the beginning. This really does work.

Bleach in Bath Water

I have had a recent skin mite infestation. Interestingly enough, I often take salt baths and clays throughout the week, this keeps my skin in good shape. I often have a dermatitis of some sort. For some reason I did not lower my entire neck and shoulder area under the water.that week I suffered the "rash" itchiness, crawling sensation on my neck and upper chest area and knees for a week. I believe my immune system was lowered due to a month long cold..I recall using bleach - 1 to 1 and 1/2 cups in bath water and submerging for 30 minutes to calm a skin condition. I read this in a Louise Gittlemens post. It did the trick and the mites were gone after the second bath. I have sensitive skin and suffer no reaction from the bleach in bath water. I don't believe you could do this for an extended period of time, but once or twice a week has been helpful.

SALIVA Kill DEMODEX mites and it's structure

Hello,

I am not a doctor, as Ted's contributions I would also like to help out with my survey and solution for this problem according to my own experience :

a) Uncomprehensible dermatologists does not know about this...and you lose lot of time with wrong diagnosis, problem getting worse, wrong treatments, being contagious,...

b) Skin thickness is a factor on the effectiveness on treatments

c) Stage of evolution of this insect is another factor on the effectiveness of treatments

To start with:

Babies: as they have thin skin, alcohol (ideally on gel to last more over the skin) kill the mites. Apply very small amount three times during one day and they are dead. Apply them to red dot supposed to be a mite attack. Caution: as the skin is so thin any product applied is absorbed so take caution on the amount of surface covered and on the amount and concentration applied, be very conservative on this.

Adults: When the mites are only superficial on a very early stage of development you can use alcohol too to kill them. Important here is to reach the wrinkles.

As you may notice the face skin is usually more thick than the rest of the body so it will be more effective on the rest of the body than the skin.

At an more advanced stage of development of the mite:

It will penetrate more deeply and form some structures so you can not reach them with alcohol and can not reach them with most of the products. So here we have the Ted solutions and I will introduce you another one:

Have you ever wonder why the mite does not develop inside the mouth or why they are destroyed when attack our lips ?

Well it's the SALIVA that degradates them.

So a solution for Demodex attacking our face is to apply Saliva on our face... but there are more strongest saliva than others. If somebody have very good teeth without too much care effort it shall be bacause their saliva is more concentrated ... this is what we need to use. Apply it and let it dry before a new application. If you are accumulating saliva you may keep if on cold at the refrigerate in order it to maintain it's properties. (of course it's a good advice to wash the teeth carefully before accumulating saliva in order to have it the cleanest possible). A good saliva is the best solution it degradates the mites and it's structures, it's safe, no toxic, acts like a miracle...

A product that works similar are the enzymes that are sold concentrated and you dilute in order to apply to your body. As they are composed of about four types of enzimes you have to make shure you are receiving a good balance of them, I mean a well mixed products because not all of them acts nor are they all as effective.

I hope I am helping here, any feedbak will be appreciated

Last week I started taking Iodine, Colloidal Silver and drinking the borax water. I know it's a lot to do all at once. By the end of the day the central part of my face became extremely red and inflamed. I woke up in the morning to bleeding sores and a greater area of my face being inflamed. I had never experienced anything like it in my life. Over the days, whatever was happening travelled down to my chin. Eventually scabbing and flaking began to occur. I continued to take the Iodine, Colloidal Silver and borax water (1/8 tsp per liter a day or less). It's been a week and my face is almost completely clear. What a weird experience. I have no idea what it was that came out or which ingredient caused it to come out but it makes me wonder! I was trying to help my Thyroid not my face.

I picked up a can of brewer's yeast and it said on the can that if you have an allergic reaction to penicillin, you should NOT use it. Be careful!

A good way to effectively kill all the bugs on your body is simply to bathe each night. The bugs cannot breath underwater. I also recommend using some eucalyptus, tea tree, or pennyroyal oil (toxic use with caution) along with a half a cup of vinegar in the bath as the bugs are not fond of the smell. Always wash your sheets and clothing frequently, and spray rugs and furniture with a mixture of rubbing alcohol, vinegar, tea tree, and either eucalyptus or pennyroyal oil. Only a few drops of each oil is needed.

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I have been suffering with bird mites from coming into contact with infected birds. I have tried almost everything. I have tried Diatomaceous Earth and it seemed to work although I was tired of dust being in my hair and throat and I have these bugs all over me and the kids. Has anyone had any success killing bird mites?

Hair Dryer

Bed Bugs Cure- HAIRDRYER! A friend of mine traveled through Africa and brought back bed bugs! I tried to help her for months trying to get rid of these creatures with every kind of spray, buying new mattresses--it was a total nightmare. They were biting her son almost every night--it was disgusting and frustrating. She spent a lot of money and time with all kinds of products and professionals and they would the bedbugs would just return. She was becoming very discouraged and depressed over it. Finally, I read online(after searching for months for a solution) that blowing a HAIRDRYER on the infected areas on high heat would kill them--permanently. Just use an ordinary hairdryer on HIGH HEAT all along the edge of the mattress and carpet, and anywhere you think they could be hiding(usually no deeper than 1/4 inch into the mattress so you just need to heat this up good). Putting the dryer on high heat, blowing the hot air closely for several minutes will kill the bugs and any eggs before they hatch. Do this BEFORE buying a new mattress so your new one doesn't get infected! This is the ONLY thing that actually worked, it's been several months now and no bugs have returned. Don't spend your money on services or expensive solutions that promise results--complete waste of money! Congratulations, you've just found the cure--and it's free!

Morgellans is not what you have as Morgellons is what medics choose to call people imagining they have a mite infestation. You have a mite infestation! Morgellons is what the doctors have-they are imagining things!

You probably have a demodex mite infestation. I found this on a dog cure site - Boil lemon slices. Let them steep overnight. Rinse hair with the liquid after shampooing. Sea buckthorn oil capsules work well too.

re: demodex mites/rosacea -- I am currently in the process of ridding my face of these nasty mites. I can attest to the fact that they really do move. I first put the borax solution on my cheeks to test it and all of the red spots moved to my chin the next day. It was incredibly freaky! I have felt them move to my eyes, nose ears and scalp at various times. Now there are a few spots showing up on my ankles as I fight to kill them all! I am determined to win this battle thanks to this awesome website and my new hero "Ted"!

I have ingested the borax several times now with no ill effects at all. I was quite leary at first, but I knew that everything else Ted had stated had proven to be true- so I took a leap of faith. I am so glad I did! Now I just need to stay focused and disciplined to follow through on the routine. Thank you so much for your help. You are making a huge difference in the lives of many people.

Hydrogen Peroxide

I have been battling hair loss and severe scalp issues for the last year, with no help whatsoever from the dermatologist. I self diagnosed myself with demodex after crawling feelings started in my scalp and started taking photos of them. I've tried every oil and trick on the internet, even Ivermectin (my 3rd round) didn't work. The other night I used a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and a cotton ball, sat in a chair and coated my hair and scalp over and over. It not only killed the mites, it cleaned the skelletal debris and buildup they leave on your hair. BUT! A very strange thing happened, if you try this treatment, make sure you protect your face, eyes and mouth with a tea tree oil ointment. The mites ended up in my mouth. There are holes and mites in the mucus area of my mouth and it's so sore I can't eat. I had no idea they would go to your mouth. I am gargling with peroxide, second day, and it's improving. Peroxide is a cheap fix and you don't have to go through the 'die off' stage, because it removes the carcauses.

The multi targeted approach is the best. Try a blend of essential oils - tea tree, eucalyptus, lavender, patchouli directly on skin or mixed with raw apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle apple to self or environment. Scrub body with rough sponge and Dr. Bronner's tea tree castile soap. Use neem shampoo or add a little neem oil to a tea tree shampoo. Rub body with diatomaceous earth before bed and sprinkle on mattress, floors and furniture, Drink a 12 oz solution made with several drops of liquid iodine, 1-2 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar, a pinch of borax, 1tsp baking soda, with stevia extract to sweeten every day. Wash clothes with enzyme based lavender detergent plus 1 cup borax on hot then throw in dryer for over an hour on hottest setting. Also buy an ozone machine for killing mites in home and car. Eat more veg high in sulfur. Good luck to anyone who reads this. Know that you may have to keep up these protocols up for the rest of your life or come back to them as needed but you can at least make this manageable.

Have you tried switching your diet and getting more sunlight (vitamin D). If you are eating sugar, the mites feed off of the sebum which is produces by excess sugar consumption.

Avon Skin So Soft
Posted by Maria (California) on 08/10/2024

You poor thing so glad you solved this problem. I do believe those are the larva that feed of your skin before becoming an actual mite. first the mite lays eggs and when they hatch, they become a worm that burrows itself into your skin for a sometime not sure how long but then they come out when they are changed into an actual bug/mite. I'm surprised you were able to see this with the naked eye because you can't see the mites. FYI I only learned this from researching because my eyebrows are very thinned out and my ex husband's eyebrows were almost extinct plus my hair has been falling out too like crazy nothing really helps. I saw a video on mites that could be causing hair loss all over the body and it caught my attention. Mites will live anywhere on the body so if you believe or know you have them on your body they will also be in your hair, eyebrows and eyelashes and I don't understand how they can say that they are not a problem to most and can be lived with and most of the population carry them well that's a dumb thing for scientist to say because you can have them for a long time and will not notice until you are infested but in the mean time you will have spread them to anyone and anything you come into contact with. This is a huge problem, and everyone needs to do some sort of regular treatment to stop this. It is not ok to live with parasites on your body at all this has nothing to do with good bacteria either that's a bunch of BS.

I have just read your comment, concerning the problem you had with skin mites, and I am going through EXACTLY, what you described, at the moment, and I am mentally, going crazy. I am pretty sure I ve picked these mites up from leaving a jumper in the back of my friends car, for awhile, mistakenly, and he has another friend, a girl, who told him she had these mites, and he s referred it to me, about her problem, but think, when she s been in his car, after telling him of this, she s gone and found my jumper in the back of his car, and worn it, but then when he finally gave my jumper back to me, he told me that he d washed it, and I think he lied about washing it, and then I ve believed him and gone and worn it. This is, I think, how now, I have them.?? I ve never experienced anything like this, in my life. I also have to isolate myself from other people and family members, because I am afraid of them catching them. I don t want ANYBODY ELSE having these disgusting critters, that are invading my body. I too, have tried everything, but nothing works, NOTHING!!! I don t know what else to do, even the doctors don t have any answers. I have searched and searched for answers, but to no avail. OMG, I just want to be normal again. It has cost me a fortune . Now I am pretty sure my 2 cat pets, have caught these shit mites, as they are scratching madly. So theirs 2 more vet bills on my list of costs. I feel so helpless at this time, and its getting me so down.

Neem Leaf, N-Acetyl Cysteine

WORKED TEMPORARILY

Unfortunately, this remedy is not working for me anymore. I feel like these things build resistance to whatever you use to treat them. I know that these are some form of a mite that feeds on or leaves behind a film? I don't know if it is yeast or bacteria or both? I do know that it builds tunnels under this film. It has made these tunnels from my hair to my mouth, almost like they needed moisture, so they are getting it from my saliva? I am at my breaking point, my husband and children do not believe me because I have thought so many different diagnosis. My physician has been no help. I have broken up some of the film myself with some different emollients but still a work in progress.

Essential Oils, Turmeric
Posted by MissM (New York ) on 06/26/2021

I had something on eyes and scalp, tried everything.

Did a course of ivermectin, and took neem capsules and di limolene both which are anti bug. You cannot take neem oil internally, nor did I want to use it externally as it stinks worse than garlic.

I asked my doctor for ivermectin because we couldn't eradicate by any other means. And because of pandemic could not scalp biopsy.

Eyes. Buy micellar water for removing cosmetics add two drops of lavender or tea tree oil. If eyes start to itch, clean them with cotton pad and solution. This is way cheaper than some of products sold on Amzn.

My doctor didn't even know about this affliction and chalked it up to generic dry eye syndrome which it was not.

I have the exact same thing happening with the eyebrows, eyelashes and face mites. Everything I researched says to use Oust Demodex cleaner because it is the least likely product to sting and burn. Look it up for further details and YouTube has several videos on it too.

Olive contains some potent bug killer compoundss. Olive Leaf Extract is sold as a natural antibiotic. Adding a pinch of the leaf should greatly increase the power of the oil, but looks like you got some high quality oil to begin with.
