Philip: How much cayenne do you use and how do you make the tea? How long have you been drinking this? What were your symptoms and have they been totally eliminated? I am on my 9th month now with them everywhere.

Demodex mites infested my cat a couple of years ago, and I can tell you that I now have a success story. Thank you for all your posts. I tried, garlic, tea tree oil, H2o2 (food grade hydrogen peroxide), coconut oil, colostrum supplements, diatomaceous earth, borax baths, and on and on. Finally, I made a magic combination. I got the idea here! So here is the recipe. (He wears a cone on his head to prevent him from licking it all off) Put the cone on first!

2 oz or 60 mls warmed coconut oil. 1 oz or 30 mls food grade hydrogen peroxide reduced to 3% strength. 1 tsp dry mustard powder. 8 drops tea tree oil. 1 oz or 30 mls raw apple cider vinegar. I put it in a plastic bottle with a small opening (like from hair dying) warmed it to body temp. To keep the oil liquid, I shook it up, wore latex painter gloves, and massaged it in a little at a time. He liked the warm massage, and really didn't know I was soaking him until it was too late!

I first changed his bedding, and sprayed it with H2o2 and apple cider vinegar and let it dry. I did this because I was unable to actually get this solution everywhere on him (tummy and anus, tail etc. ) so I thought having it in the bedding would help.

I began feeding him about a teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar in 1 tablespoon soft cat food mixed with 1/2 tsp. of powdered colostrum each day. I combed him everyday to keep his skin kind of groomed. I put this solution on each week, 2 times, because the recipe above made enough for 2 applications. He hated the cone and retreated into the back of the closet for a month, only come out when I pulled him out for food or combing or treatment. I kept changing his bedding. His hair began to grow back where he had previously lost it, he gradually stopped scratching so much he made himself bleed. After 4 weeks, I took his cone off, and he has now been cleaning and cleaning because his skin went kind of scaly. I still feed him the 1 tsp. ACV everyday in his food. The mites are finally gone. He looks great! I'm going to give most of the credit to ACV and some credit to the dried mustard. This magic combination worked!

One more note, (cause it's the little things that trip you up), get a large, rather than small cone. Put their food and water in a bucket that the cone fits over, and fill it to the top so they can reach to eat properly. Vacuum and spray ACV anywhere the cat frequents. Always wash your hands with soap and water after you touch your cat. I got the mites on my face beside my nose and had to use the same recipe on me!

Mustard Powder

WARNING!

I do not recommend the mustard powder treatment. I diluted the mustard powder in water until the mixture was 1/4 mustard powder and 3/4 water and applied it to my cheeks and around my hair line to get rid of the mites. It felt warm. After about a few seconds the area felt very hot so I washed the mixture off and my skin was brightest red. The mixture had burnt my skin despite the very low amount of mustard to water. I now look pale with but too ridiculously red cheeks which I pray will calm down as I have a flight to catch in 2 days and hate to wear make up on a long flight so instead I may look like an idiot unless the redness goes away.

I don't think this solution will work on caucasian or sensitive skin without burning it, if you dilute any more then the mixture is not effective. Once my skin is healed I will try Ted's borax and hydrogen peroxide method which seems a lot less harmful.

Mustard Powder
Posted by Es (Nj) on 07/15/2015

I have to (respectfully) disagree about mustard powder being unsuitable to Caucasian skin. I'm white, of European descent, so my skin is rather olive-toned but definitely I am white. I use mustard powder in face wash, body wash, shampoo, and lotion that I made for myself. I dilute it as follows, though this is approximate:

Face soap: 1 tablespoon of mustard powder, dilute powder well in 1 tablespoon of hot water, then add several tablespoons of a plain, unscented liquid face soap. (for making this, I prefer the soap that's more like a gel or liquid soap rather than the really watery soaps that come out of the bottle as a pre-lathered foam).

To make shampoo, body wash, or lotion, I do the same.

I feel a bit of heat on applying, and as I lather it in, the heat abates. I leave it on for a few minutes.

My skin is now very soft & is soothed from the demodex mites. My hair is softer and fuller and lovelier than before. My shoulders, neck, chest and back are now clear of the mild acne that kept coming back every time I wore tops that exposed my shoulders or back or chest to my long hair. I feel cleaner. I absolutely love mustard powder, it's my newest discovery... I jokingly call this my "Marvellous Mustard Mask" or my "Magical Mustard Mix" and it makes me very happy! I had to play with the ingredients a bit to get it right, the trick is to be sure not to burn yourself. But make no mistake, mustard is powerful and will whip those stupid mites into shape! You don't have to fear the mighty mites that make you miserable... I don't anymore because I know they're very vulnerable to MUSTARD powder (:

I tried Borax mule stuff, but I wasn't very into that stuff, didn't find it as effective, and found it a big hassle. I used to use tea tree oil, and would still use it 50% diluted in oil around the eyes to kill ocular demodex (causing ocular rosacea - meaning messed up lashes and chronically red or bloodshot eyes caused by demodex in the eye area), but for my skin, it stinks. I don't like the smell, and mustard seems to be more powerful and do the trick best. My skin and hair are benefitting from it, and I no longer feel contaminated. I don't care if there are a few on me, everyone has SOME of them. But I like knowing they can't thrive, there are few. I also do a fun trick, I'm an early bird, so often wake before sunrise. In the dark, I sometimes wash my face in my "marvelous mustard" soap mix. Why? because some mites only come out at night, to mate (YUK! ) and flee in the light of day. No problem, I just kill 'em while they're out on their little dating scene on my face! As I do, I think... "See ya, suckers! "

Maybe some people are too sensitive for it, others must just dilute it enough.

I should have started posting on here much earlier buttt..... Thank you for commenting that the garlic did not work more than once for you. The original listerine worked for two whole weeks, I've now added pine sol and so far so good. I use borax and windex, but the pine sol and listerine mix on my body and on my bedding/ couches etc has worked great. I will be trying the other remedies, but the natural remedies do not work on bird mites... or whatever it is that we have.

Many thanks to Anon from Anon and to Susan from San Francisco for your responses and your very helpful tips.

I'm taking 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in a half glass of water twice a day as well as the borax water. I'm going to try adding a capful of food-grade hydrogen peroxide to the borax water tomorrow.

This is now Day 3 and it's all definitely doing something. Day 1 was almost miraculous - tickles down from about 1, 000 a day to less than 100. Day 2 was not as good and I think I know why - this treatment seems to drive more mites out onto the surface of my skin. And of course every day sees a new clutch of eggs hatching.

I've been doing some more research on demodex and found out that while the males only live for 15 days, the females can live for up to 60 days. Which means I'll have to do this borax and baking soda regimen daily for at least three months to be sure of getting them all.

Also, I don't understand why so many posters here emphasise incessant cleaning of the environment when the demodex mite can only survive 24-38 hours if dislodged from the host. Plus, they can't fly or jump and they move very slowly (though they can speed up a bit in warm temperatures). Plus, you don't have to worry about eggs because they only lay them inside you.

For two years, I washed my clothes and bedding daily at 60 degrees Celsius (and sometimes 90) and dried them on high heat and it made absolutely zero difference to these mites because they can only live in your skin - all you'll kill with this regimen is any surface wanderers that get caught up in your clothes or bedding. All it did was destroy my stuff and cost me a fortune on electricity bills (money I don't have to spare). I also used to vacuum the entire house every day (and sometimes twice a day).

So now I sleep (or semi-sleep) on a rubber air-bed on top of a diatomaceous-earth-dusted latex mattress in a non-woven nylon-shelled sleeping bag (my pillow is a non-woven nylon bag stuffed with an old sweater). Every morning, I shake the sleeping bag and "pillow" out thoroughly in the garden and hang them on the wash line to air for a few hours (on wet days, I run them through the dryer on high heat for 40 minutes).

When I undress for bed, I shake out my clothes thoroughly, turn them inside out and do it again, then pack them into a double-sealed vacuum-pack plastic bag. Next morning I shake them out again before getting dressed. I only vacuum the rooms I actually use now once a week.

The only things I wipe daily are those I touch with bare skin - door and faucet handles, light and electricity switches, toilet seat and flush handle, computer keyboards and mice. Also, I never let my bare feet touch the floor and keep my fingernails as short as possible. And that's it - I don't have the time, energy, or ability to do any more because of my constant pain and the fact that virtually all of my life is now taken up with brushing these things off me.

Things are now no better nor no worse than they were before.

Specifics for Anon:

Vaseline: During my research, I read a post (can't remember where) from someone who had done this and it didn't work. But I came across another which recommended Vicks Vapor Rub on the most affected areas (which would be my entire skin). So I may give that a try.

Friends Help: When it became apparent that my home was infested and I had scabies, I told all my friends I wouldn't be seeing them for some time and informed them why. Two and a half years of solitude later, I have no friends. My brothers and sisters all believe I'm delusional because doctors are always right. And I can't afford to pay a nurse out of my pittance of a pension.

Since my first post, I've given this problem a lot of thought and what I do now is use the long-handled lotion applicator to get at just about all areas of my back, then wash as far down as my knees. (I've also ordered an exfoliation strap from the UK so I can get at ALL of my back). I dry off, then sit on a chair and wash my calves and use the lotion applicator for my feet in a plastic basin. I've superglued an old toothbrush to a plastic ruler and use that to do between my toes. It's a struggle but I can now just about manage to wash all areas of my body OK. It just takes me forever to clean myself like this (an hour and a half). Having to massage stuff into my skin for any length of time would be very problematic indeed though.

Specifics for Susan:

ACV plus borax water: I've ordered another five litres of ACV with mother so I'll have to wait till it arrives from the UK to try your recipe. The ACV is have left at the moment is only enough for internal use.

I've never been able to shower every day because I've always had extremely sensitive skin, even using Simple Soap (but I did it for a month twice a day when I had scabies and it almost killed me).

So what I would propose is to put your mix into a spray bottle and spray myself down nightly before bed.

Will this nightmare ever end?

Finally, a tip:

I've been in contact with the UK administrator of the Morgellons organisation (who has been an absolute angel for me) to see if they keep a list of sympathetic dermatologists and doctors for Ireland. They don't. But she gave me a recipe for exfoliation:

Mix plain green Fairy Liquid (dish soap - US equivalent would be Dawn) with fine table salt 50/50 and rub it into and over your skin. Leave it on for about five minutes, then rinse off.

When I came to rinse off, I initially thought that the soap must have penetrated my skin because it felt so slippery. Then I realised that this WAS my skin - all the dead stuff had sloughed off and it was like having brand new skin. I've now thrown out my exfoliation gloves (after immersion in boiling water of course).

Many thanks again to both of you. I'm exhausted. Bye for now.

There is a type of Chinese soap designed specifically to combat demodex mites. It's called "FaceDoctorX", but may be found for cheaper by the name "chang sheng soap". The main ingredient is seabuckthorn oil, so maybe you could just get the oil, directly.

I used it once because I had heard that acne cysts could be caused by demodex mites, but apparently this was not my problem, because it had very little effect on my acne (I think my problem was more about stress hormones, because it has since cleared up after life changes). It might be worth a try, though.

I know this is an old post and I hope you have found a cure. I wanted to suggest something inexpensive you can add to your regimen: palmarosa oil. Palmarosa is related to lemongrass and citronella, but the oil has a different composition - the same things are in it, but in different proportions. It is death to mites, and surprisingly safe for human skin. Some sources recommend it at 50% yes that is fifty percent concentration in a carrier. I have used it "neat", at 100%.

It works, it works, it works. If you braid your hair, you may be able to add it to your hair oil. You can surely add it to almost any lotion you use.

Once I looked up the chemical composition I realized that palmarosa might work well as a blend too, with citronella and lemongrass and geranium, any one of them or even all three. None of them are super expensive, and you can balance the scent so it's very pleasant rather than overpowering. Palmarosa has a surprising citrus scent to it, though other say it smells rosy.

Again I know this is an old post, I am going to put this up as a new suggestion since I don't see palmarosa in the index, and there is a pretty decent scientific paper showing that both it and clove oil are incredibly good at killing at least one species of mite.

I have had beloved neighbors who spoke of Jehovah God. I wish you every blessing.

Borax

I have read where borax is toxic.

DE (diatomacious earth) is taken from the bottom of the ocean as ground up clam shells etc.. It is very effective for killing all sorts of small creatures -spiders, mites, bedbugs, worms, snails and can be taken internally for this purpose also. It can be purchased at graineries in 50lb bags for only 50c lb usually but it must be the type used in grains to kill insects -otherwise it may have arsenic in it. It may help your problem.

One tlbs per 125 lb of body wt is a measure given. It can be taken with foods or juices every day. I take it once a week or so.

Mite treatment Sept. 2011

This treatment along with daily washing of clothing and bedding, vacuuming, will go a long way to help promoto a cautiously optimistic feeling.

Morning and evening use a toothbrush and scrub the area 2 to 3 inches around the punctures with a solution of Dawn Dish soap. This will reveal many more punctures than you can otherwise see.

Soak in a bath of apple cider vinegar and epsom salts.

Brush the skin with a soft brush -whole body while in the tub. Pat dry

Treat punctures with Ox-e Drops ( Nyzme. com) or bleach solution ( 1 part bleach to 10 parts water.)

Apply Black Walnut tincture on a Q-tip to punctures and surrounding area. ( an anti parasite) dry skin with hair dryer.

Apply cortizone cream, or healing ointment, zinc ointment etc. Dust skin with Gold Bond powder.

Internally, take 5 drops of Black Walnut tincture in water three times a day. also 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar with maple syrup in glass of water twice daily.

Bentonite, 1 tablespoon in water will assist intestinal track to cleanse. (from health food store)

Have used this treatment successfully.

Picked up the mite in California somehow?

For months I could not figure out why I kept getting these small scabs on my wrists. I would notice them from time to time and could not remember how they got there. Then I slowly began to notice that my wrists, arms, eyes and head began to increasingly itch. It finally dawned on me that this was some kind of mite that I must have picked up from our neighbor's dog that we had looked after when they went on vacation. I figured it was from the dog, because they had to shave the dog's fur due to some kind of "skin condition" .

In any case, once I determined the problem I came to this site and tried some of the remedies and combination of remedies listed here. What I tried and what is finally working is this. It seems you do have to keep after these little buggers relentlessly. I started out using tea tree oil*, then neem oil, then sea buckthorn oil. They all helped a little but not enough to get rid of them completely. For me, what seems to have been working lately is a multi-remedy approach.

1.) I laundered my towels after each use. I changed my bed linens each night. When I washed my linens, towels and clothes I used hot water. I tried not to wear anything that required a delicate or cold water wash. My clothes were worn once and then washed. I used our normal laundry detergent, but I added about 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of Borax to each load.

2.) I lightly dusted food grade diatomaceous earth* everywhere that I spent a lot of time that had some kind of fabric covering. I sprinkled it on the carpet near my bed and chairs, on my chairs and sofas, my mattress, on the mattress pad, in my pillowcases and on my sheets. I even dusted it on my legs and arms.

2.) I started taking 1 Tbsp of food grade diatomaceous earth* dissolved in a glass of water daily. At first I took 1 T in the morning and 1 T in the mid afternoon. After a couple of weeks I tapered off to 1 T at night. Some people are unable to sleep after taking it, but it actually helped me sleep better. I did this for 30 days. Once I started taking this the scabs and itching became more noticeable on my arms and legs. It seems it was bringing whatever mites were under my skin to the surface. I was really scratching then, but at least they were on the run.

3.) For relief, I covered my eyes in organic coconut oil. I did not pour it in my eyes, I just applied it externally to my lashes and brows. For the rest of my body, every day and night I applied, externally, some bentonite detox clay (the kind you take internally) everywhere that it itched. I would even daub the bentonite clay on my scalp where it itched. It will leave a thin film of clay on your skin and may look and feel dry but it definitely relieves the itch. I would then shampoo my hair every day with tea tree oil shampoo. On occasion I would daub tea tree oil* wherever I felt the itch.

It has been a little over a month now and they seem to be gone, but I will continue my treatments, for a while until I am absolutely certain they are gone.

*Please note that some people will react to tea tree oil. It did not bother me, but it can be an irritation to some. Also I underline food grade diatomaceous earth as that is the only kind you can take internally or allow to touch your skin. I know this has been mentioned before, but it bears repeating that there a two kinds of diatomaceous earth and you need to be certain that you get the food grade kind. You can usually find all of these remedies in your local health food store or online.

These mites don't mess around. I still have them. Sometimes they "run" with Cheyletiella mites, and you can get rid of those on your pets with a "spot-on" flea treatment that's pretty expensive, but not these mites that I have. They survive pretty much everything. (Personally, I'm doing a lot of praying about it. ) Here are some things that really work for comfort. 1) air mattress, 2) synthetic underwear (nylon, etc), 3) Menthol dandruff shampoo (comes in a blue bottle) or generic equivalent, 4) Vaporizing rub (that comes in a blue bottle and smells like menthol) or generic equivalent, for feet, privates, nose if it itches, at night. I even rub it around my eyes lightly if they're bugging me at night, 5) Foot powder -- Blue bottle with menthol. (Good in baby diapers, too, when mixed with regular baby powder. Start with 80% baby powder, and 20% foot powder. ) But I put it everywhere on myself. It has menthol so its cooling, but the buggers HATE MENTHOL. It lasts the night. I've mixed it with Diatomacious earth before also. Buy DE at a vet supply place online, because its cheaper. Use a dry sponge to pat it on yourself or a powder puff. You can put it directly on dogs, but not on cats unless you mix it with A LOT OF diatomacious earth. Cat's livers cannot handle too much peppermint, menthol, essential oils, etc. I just don't use any of that on a cat. (The DE doesn't get the bugs out of the house though. ) 6)And finally, turpentine and lotion. That stuff works, but smells a bit. DO NOT use this on a cat! But, I've used it for 3 years now. Nothing harmful. I buy "pure turpentine from tree resin" in a green can at big home improvement store ($7). I mix it 30/70, turp/lotion. No itch. At first, you turn pretty red and it hurts, because of the trails under your skin, but give it an hour and it gets less red. If it keeps hurting, wash it off and try again later. Take a shower with the shampoo for soap, too. I tried Ted's vinegar/borax solution dip for a long, long time, but once they're in your house, forget it. I still wash with 1 cup Borax in each load though. It's cheap. Try to get synthetic blankets and clothes, too. (I mean you can't replace your whole wardrobe, but those bugs love cotton, so avoid it. If you use borax in wash and don't wear things more than twice, it gets less itchy. A lot less. Don't throw your clothes away. Just don't wear them for a while) DE-XXXX additive for laundry works.($50/bottle on Amazon, "laundry additive, de-"). It has some stuff is poisonous in it, so don't use it on people or animals. Not for hair, nothing but clothes and linens. This stuff is really poisonous, okay? But it works on clothes really well. Unfortunately, I still have these bugs, but I'm much less freaked and more comfortable. Now, at least I sleep at night, too. I think God is merciful to those who pray and wait. Those who hope in him, so I pray for answers. I've tried A LOT of things (pesticides to the tune of $6000), but nothing worked. It seemed to aggrevate them. I even tried cedar sprays with no success, so don't waste your money. This is what I've discovered anyway and I hope it helps until you can get rid of them.

My problem is mites. I picked driftwood from the beach for carving, and a week after or so I got quite a few strange bites. I guess I will try the cure suggested here. The onion cure will be my first.

Good that you all write because this "thing" can make you crazy and obsessed and even depressed. Thanks to you all, Ase

I went through a horrific experience with bird mites. At first, I was the only sufferer since females are usually attacked prior to anyone else in the home. I felt alone since no one believed me and started to think I was going insane. I lost sleep every-night and became delusional, enough to where I lost my job. My intense research brought me to birdmites.org where I finally had an answer. I went to the local pest store, bought residual indoor and outdoor products, fumigated the attic and also sprayed the yard and trees. A few months later did the same thing to kill the rest that hatched. It worked!!

Finally figured out that they came from a dead bird that was found in the attic after a hurricane. Also noticed it got worse when it rained or was humid outside (which is common in the south). If it would have gone on any longer, I probably would have taken my life -- that's how severe it became and I'm not a suicidal or depressed person. I am still angry that I was so alone and want to help anyone suffering from it. It can be defeated!!!

How to make a sane woman crazy? -- THE MITES. These creatures have ruined my life and doctors think I need a psychological work-up despite the bites and scratches on my legs and arms; despite the fact that my toes and tongue are numb from all the biting. I've moved into a hotel, sent my kid to friends, and this is costing me a fortune. I have a kid to put through college! I want my house and life back. But, this is so hard. I feel like a leper and can't do anything with friends. I love entertaining and can't invite anyone to my house. Pest control companies and their sprays have NOT worked. Trying to find a company that uses Vykane gas, but have not been to do that.

Kleen Green works for me. But, I only feel good when I'm in the tub. When the water goes down the drain what's left in the tub are tiny black mites. Tried Vicks vap-rub tonight. It seems to help a bit. Will try the garlic and know that I need to make my body more alkaline. Thanks for the information

For the mites on my face I use a thick gob of Vaseline with some camphur and tea tree oil. Slather this on thick I think it suffocates them. I put a thick gob of plain Vaseline in the corner of my eye and within 20 minutes the nasty things backed out. Kleen green everything and lysol spray. Don't forget to treat ur pets I am using a lime sulfur dip for the cat. I keep a jar of Vaseline and a spray bottle of alcohol, Apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil and camphur oil with me all the time to slather or spray any spots if I feel them crawling. I am also trying to build up my immune system as a weak immune system can let mites get out of control. In the morning I eat two raw cloves of garlic. Afternoon I take probiotics and evening I drink emergen-c and add apple cider vinegar to it. I think I am winning but won't feel safe for a few more weeks.

Go to your doctor, get Permethrin cream, and Malathion for your hair . You need to do this at the same time put cream on then do your hair, sleep on it, if you do this, you should be good

It seems to me that before one begins trying the dozens of proposed remedies or solutions offered on this website, the first thing that should be done is to identify the biting critter that is microscopic. I've tried to collect samples by putting out a sticky wrapping take, but none of the pest control companies I've contacted actually use microscopes to indentify the type of mite. Has any one actually trapped any of the mites and had them identified by a university or health department? Doctors are of no help. Please advise - I'm losing sleep and my health over the infestation I'm suffering from. Ron

Dear Ron, my mother trapped some of the mites on clear packing tape and sent it to the University of Texas entomology dept. They identified it as a rat mite. Some people purchase their own microscopes. Even a low power one enables you to see the tiny insects. Most of readers are so blown away by the attack and their family doc hasn't helped, that just reading the symptoms of other earthclinic people that matches their own exactly is enough. Many of the different types of mites are immune to poisons, so the Earthclinic letters help keep your sanity. Best Wishes, Sherrie

Haven't read through all posts in case they are mentioned elsewhere but I'm dealing with these tiny crawling itch causing critters and searching for extermination methods (without having to throw out all my furniture and clothes, rugs, curtains, etc. Info on the internet is conflicting or purely discounting. “They don't bother humans.” to which one commenter on Houzz suggested the “expert” should be invited over for a home visit.

I have captured a number of the bugs (I read they're not actually bugs) on clear tape, I took a few video clips of individuals crawling in my bathtub -tiny, ~1mm long. The way I'm speculating on ID is that the first time I moved in with tape, the little guy jumped about 10 inches! That's the only place I can see them...when I shake out yesterday's bathmat into the tub.
I'm changing sheets, towels, clothes and flip flops every day, doing lots of laundry with borax, squirting diatomaceous earth lightly all over the house, using essential oil diffuser and trying various potions on myself, laundry and surfaces. Just peeked into EC today to see if I could use borax in a body scrub

I just tried Neem oil on my feet and it does seem ver soothing--taking away a hot redness. Do you think it's okay to put Neem oil directly on my wood floors? All my skin problems began with a deep itchiness on just a few spots on feet and fingers, which spreads by touch. The doctors are amazingly uninterested. I thought it was a fungus, or bacteria, but I'm beginning to think it's almost more like a Herpes thing, except the blisters never show up on the skin. Has anyone ever heard of this? Also, some of the swelling in my feet has subsided so that I now see little round swellings undery toes, and what feels like hot leather glued onto the large area under my big toe.Any advice?I don't think the doctors have their brains working too hard here in San Antonio.

Thanks for the post! How did you know you had mites? What symptoms did you have and, moreover, how do you know they are dead now?

l am still mite free, however, my relatives who are in denial are spreading them, and visiting anyone is pure hell. I am looking into buying a dermoscope, which is a lighted magnifier that dermatologists are starting to use to detect scabies, in the hopes that if these idiots can see the bugs on them, they will believe that its not psoriasis, dry skin, just itches, or something l inherited from dad, etc. 10x magnifier. l hope l made it clear that it stops the itches within seconds, as it kills, and smothers whatever is under the skin.

Found a mini microscope for $12, most stock this in the store but I had to visit 2 before I could find it in stock. Magnifies with a little light 60-100 times. I have used it for my dogs mange mites. after a home visit from my vet and she brought her big professional one in suit case and still came up negative. It takes a while to learn how to use it but now I can use it to look to see if demodex mites are dead/alive on my dog. I have found its best to use some black type of paper or black hard board to put the specimen on to use this microscope. Most docs think are tiny microscopic parasites but you can see them with a strong magnification. Warning you will find yourself looking at all kinds of creepy crawlies using this little mini microscope. It works great for 12 bucks investment.

So, how long did l leave the lamp oil on? 24 hours, as l was infested head to toe. By the way, as you feel the redness and burning, that is the mites getting smothered, reacting the way they always do to different treatments that were effective. It will subside, and then you can wash it off if you want. l have very long, thick hair, and after l showered, l washed my hair as usual, and used a deep conditioner to counteract the drying effect of lamp oil. I used it twice a week on my scalp until l killed all the eggs hatching out. used lamp oil solidly for most of a year before l recovered my strength enough to clean and treat the whole house at once, and never noticed anything bad other than having to put shea butter on my heels and elbows daily. What have l tried? Probably every treatment listed on Earthclinic up to my last post in 2012, except a zapper or sauna. From experience, the mites l had were long lived, one week in a plastic bag would only have let them spread more. D. Gallinae can live 9 months off humans.

Spraying the house and cars with denatured alcohol with a little pennyroyal or cloves, 12-15 drops in a gal sprayer worked well. All l need help with is how to convince those relatives in denial that they have mites since they are not allergic to the mites like l am. Also, they are smokers, so do not experience much intense itching, as the tobacco acts like a repellant. They still wake up at 3 or 4 am regularly, confused as to why they are waking up. Now, my dogs were bathed with Ted's borax/peroxide baths and if my relatives re-infect them seriously l have given liquid ivermectin... 1 milliliter per pound on the insides of their ears, or on their stomachs (l have small 7 lb dogs). It's ok if they lick it, but take note that mites, like all living things will become immune to ivermectin if overused, or used regularly. It is in my arsenal of last resort. For human ears, Ivomec Eprinix mixed with a little dmso, it will kill mites. Put a few drops in one side, let it stay until the tingling subsides, then the other ear. L lay my head on the kitchen table. Do not stop the ear with cotton, you want them to come out of your ear. L rinsed my ears with a baby ear syringe and 10% vinegar water in my bath later that night. Best wishes to you all.

Hi: Sounds like your apartment, not you, has the issue. And your issue is solving itself. Good thing you are not brainwashed into thinking doctors have all the answers! Anyway i think you need to borax your whole aparment often. Buy boxes of it. Drive it into the carpet with a broom all along baseboards. sprinkle it all over your mattress. If you leave it for a day before you vacuum that is better and do it often.
when you treat yourself and your environment they will go away.

I hope you post again, would like to hear how you do.

I don't know if this will help, but I once treated a cat successfully for mange (hair loss caused by mites) by feeding it brewers yeast tablets. Not sure on the dose or why it worked; I saw it in a magazine. The hair just started growing back on the cat and it came in really soft! Good luck!

I started using MMS for various reasons. Bought at the feed store for $7.50. My hair, which had been falling out from overtreatments for mites and stress, started growing in soft and beautiful, very fast. My nails got strong as well and my scars on my skin started fading fast. I swallowed 3 scoops a day for a month, then cut to 1 scoop a day. Stuff is bitter. As long as its dry there is not much taste so slowly pour it onto the end of your tongue, then swallow water and gulp it down. The results are worth it. Use borax baths (use teds recipes) and soak for an hour for soothing scalp issues. Don't forget to add hydrogen peroxide to the water first. Make like a mermaid as they live in your ears, nose and throat. throw out your pillows they are infested. buy new ones and cover with plastic and tape any openings, even zippers.

Cheers
Sharon

Carpeting ? Put some diatomaceous earth or borax into it... Just make sure to get the pets out of the room, first, then put on a respirator type mask.. And distribute or dust around... You can put that onto your mattress, under the vinyl cover. If you wish, one can get the food grade stuff to ingest... It cuts parasites to pieces. Just make sure it goes down into the fibers, so that your dogs do not breathe it in, while rolling around, or laying their heads on the carpeting.

The second thing I used, was an all natural product that does not have fumes... I cannot mention the exact name, but check the Topix health blogs I posted.. It has the name in there... I got a whole gallon of the stuff.. I spray it on my mattress, on the carpet, on the tarps on my couches, in my car, and believe it or not, one can bathe with it in the bathwater.. I also spray enzymes onto my dog... I was using it on my skin, but I was slightly allergic to one of the enzymes.. But I would try that, if I could do so, as well! And it will kill the parasitic mites, dust mites, or dermodex ones, by eating through the exoskeleton, and it causes them to molt prematurely.. If they do that, then they die off! ... So I spray the entire bathroom floor, and everywhere I sat during the day, even near the kitchen sink, my computer table, etc.. All with no fumes, and no toxins. If you spray upholstery with it, say in your car.. It will dry clear, and have no scent after it is dry.. And it eats up dust mites, etc... And breaks down dirt.. So everything smells good, after it is dry. I am so allergic to poisons! Oh yeah, I set my spritzer with 2 onces of it, then add 14 more of the distilled water, then set the sprayer on a harder spray, so it goes into my dog's coat.. It immediately causes the itching to die down, so now he knows what will follow, and does not fight me on this--he simply wants the surface of his fur wiped down, so he is not soggy! Then, the poor baby can sleep..

Oh, yeah, try not to allow pets to sleep in your bed, until both are cured, or you will pass mites back and forth, into infinity! Tomorrow, I will put the mustard, castor oil, and virgin coconut oil onto his skin, for a more permanent treatment, to kill most of them off.. I did that with my own skin, and was shocked at how many died off.. Rubbed it into my hair, then put a shower cap on, overnight! It works! Bonnie

How long do you keep the saturated solution with 1% peroxide on face for please Ted? I have had worsening roseacea since mite insect population exploded. Maybe I have the Demodex mites but how come none of the 12 medical people I saw suggested that? I understand that chinese medics say sugar is red on skin (dairy is white patches) I love sweet foods as much as I try not to I feel it' s a sugar issue, myself -the rosecea I mean but this is all interesting-well not that interesting-I could be doing alot of other things! Thank you, Ruth

Ted's recomendation is to leave it on the skin but because it made my skin look dry I put it on at night and washed it off in the morning. I kept up the regime nightly for 1 month the went to every second night for 2 weeks, every third night for 2 weeks and tapered off.

I don't believe mine was a sugar issue and mites will attach to easy healthy option before they'll go for hard to grip damaged or oily skin that they find difficult to latch onto.

Also, use and change your pillowcases, i.e use 1 side tonight other tomorrow then change to prevent reinfection. Your pillowcases may lighten from the concoction so use old ones.

Again, has anyone had success treating bird mites that have gone internal? I have altered my diet, gone more alkaline, no red meat, very little animal protein, MSM, vitamin c, cal/mag/zinc supplement, vitamin D, good yogurt, flaxseed oil and a multi-vitamin supplement. I am still infested, and want to begin the borax treatment, but am not sure what to expect...

Many thanks for the tips, Dud. Unfortunately, I don't have a tub in my bathroom, just a shower stall. This has been a major hassle throughout this experience.

Now a tip for you and everyone else here ingesting hydrogen peroxide and baking soda at the same time.

Don't. Sodium bicarbonate acts as a powerful antacid. This means there will still be undigested food in your stomach for longer than is normal and when the H2O2 hits it, if there's iron, manganese, copper, zinc, fats, or Vitamin C present in it, it will create very dangerous free radicals which can severely damage the lining of your stomach.

You also need to carefully examine the list of ingredients of any supplement you may be taking for the things mentioned above and if it's the "slow-release" type, stop taking it as well while on H2O2.

I can say this with certainty because it happened to me yesterday.

Full story is here: Hydrogen Peroxide Cures

I find this website very confusing. Information on a subject seems to be spread out all over the place. For instance, on the above-linked thread, Bill from the Phillipines says you should only take borax water for five consecutive days, then take a two-day break. That information is nowhere to be found in this thread on Ted's Remedies. Nor does Ted say how long you should take it for.

And I've been unable to find the proportions I should use of 1% H202 to saturated solution of borax for topical use. Nor how to make a saturated solution (we're not all science grads! ). Ted doesn't give that information here. Nor does he mention how many times it should be done, how frequently, or for how long.

Very confusing.

Stay well and take care.

OK, I found out the exact mix for dog mange using borax and hydrogen peroxide on a blog-site whose owner used it on her own animals. I've been unable to find it again today to provide a link here but the gist of it is this:

1. Make up a 1% dilution of hydrogen peroxide either by adding two parts distilled water to one part 3% hydrogen peroxide (five parts water if using 6% HP, and 33 parts water if using 35% food-grade HP).

2. Measure out 48 fluid ounces of this and slowly add to it 8 ounces of borax powder. This should be enough to give you a saturated solution (there will be undissolved borax left in the bottom of the container - this means that the mixture is saturated). If you halve both of the above quantities, you can get enough to fill a 32-ounce spray bottle to about three-quarters. However, my spray bottle refused to work because of clogging caused by the undissolved borax powder, so you may have to remove the spray cap and pour it carefully into your cupped hand when applying.

Note: you do not need to use the entire bottle, just enough so you can thoroughly wet the skin and massage it in. I'm over six feet tall and fairly slim and I still have half a bottle left over after doing myself from head to foot.

3. Shower with tea tree shampoo all over and rinse off thoroughly but do not dry yourself.

4. Apply the mixture to your body starting with the neck, rubbing it in well, and work your way down to the soles of your feet. DO NOT RINSE. Be aware that if you apply this to your anus IT WILL STING - but this will pass in a minute or so. I did this as well as my scrotum because both these areas are considerably infested.

5. If you need to treat your scalp and face then YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST wear a good tightly-fitting and waterproof pair of swim goggles to prevent any of the mixture entering your eyes. The rubber-bodied ones are best because you can wet the insides before putting them on - then press on them when they're comfortable to create a suction effect around the eyes. Only do fairly small patches of your scalp and forehead at a time using small amounts to help prevent liquid runoff. BUT BE VERY CAREFUL - if you do get some in your eyes, IMMEDIATELY rinse them out with running warm (not hot) water for 15 minutes.

6. Leave the goggles on and air-dry for 5-10 minutes. When you remove the goggles, you can then apply small amounts with your fingers to those areas on both sides and the back of your head that were covered by the goggle strap.

I did this last night because nausea has prevented me from ingesting borax water for the past four days and my mites were making a substantial resurgence which was preventing me from sleeping. I applied it into both ear canals and just inside each nostril entrance without any problems.

I'm not recommending the following to anyone but I also managed to do my eyebrows (which are very infested - I now only have half-eyebrows left due to their follicle destruction) and areas reasonably close to my eyes by bending over at 90 degrees from the waist, wetting my finger with the mix and thoroughly shaking off any excess drops so my finger was just damp, then massaging it very carefully into those areas as many times as necessary.

My results were that all mite activity stopped, enabling me to sleep.

Today has been very good. I have had only two groin tickles and about 50 on my scalp and face. I intend to treat only those areas again tonight before bedtime because I'm still too nauseous to resume the internal borax remedy (my Christmas "dinner" today was two slices of dry bread, a yoghurt drink, and a glass of milk). Plus, my sensitive skin has always rebelled against daily showering.

For dogs, the blogger recommends all-over application every second day. Ted recommends that for humans, application should be done "several" times a day. I think I'll pass on that because of my sensitive skin and the extreme drying effect that this remedy has.

For this drying, Ted recommends topical oils, particularly lavender oil because demodex mites apparently hate the smell of it. My own past experience with oil-based topicals has been that demodex mites just love it, including neem oil - besides your sebaceous glands, they also feed on your sebaceous oil. So I'm now looking for a non-oil based moisturising/soothing compound with which to mix the lavender oil. (Remember that lavender oil is an essential oil and so must be well diluted before application). I don't know what proportions to use because, again, Ted doesn't mention them, but I'm sure I'll find them on the internet.

I hope this information is useful to someone. If you decide to do this, please remember to BE VERY CAREFUL OF YOUR EYES because hydrogen peroxide - even a 1% dilution - can damage them irreparably. So stay in the shower stall until you're air-dried. That way, you'll have immediate access to fast-running warm water should you need it. I sincerely hope you don't.

Take care and stay well.

Thanks for the link to this, Dud. It's fascinating stuff. About two years ago, a telecom tried to build a new tower about 1, 000 yards from my home but the local residents mounted a campaign to have them stopped. They succeeded. The nearest tower to me now is about a 20-minute walk away.

Having said that, this tower was present before my insect invasions started and I had no problem in sleeping for nine hours each night and no problem in going back to sleep after getting up to visit the bathroom. My problem started with the nighttime activities of the bedbugs and fleas, then the scabies, then the demodex. And they segued into the sleep disturbance caused by the anti-psychotic Risperidone.

I've saved this article as a PDF though and will try some of the tips outlined.

You've reminded me though that I tried an experiment early on in the demodex infestation. I bought an emergency sleeping bag, rather than a flat emergency blanket, and slept naked in it to see if it would have any effect. Back then I was getting what I called "swarms" every third or fourth night. This was a deeply unpleasant and intense body-wide sensation of fizzing and popping which would wake me up immediately. (I subsequently discovered that this was a large number of insects either hatching or crawling out onto the surface of my skin at the same time).

When I started sleeping in the emergency bag, all mite activity on my body stopped immediately, but my head (which, naturally, was exposed) became the target for these "swarms" instead. I remember waking up one night in a fit of sneezing with this going on - some of the mites had crawled really far up inside my nostrils and caused it.

As well as this problem, these bags are not designed for sleeping but for a fully-clothed person to remain awake and warm in life-threatening weather conditions. As such, when you sleep naked in one, your perspiration and water vapour which is output via the skin is not wicked away as it would be with fabric, but pools instead and cools in the bag next to your skin. So you wake up cold and wet. Consequently, I stopped using it.

Thanks again, Dud, and Happy New Year!

I had a bad case of mites this summer. I used neem oil - three or four large dropperfuls in about a cup of olive oil, added some oil of orange. Put all over head, face, ears, neck down to shoulders.

Then soak in a tub of water - add hydrogen peroxide, one large bottle, about 1/2 cup borax and a cup or so of salt, oil up down to the water level. Soak for an hour if you can.

Then wash your hair with Dawn dish soap.

This causes a rush to your eyes as they try to get away, but using drops and resting in a dark room will get you thru it.

Do it once a week until they are gone.

I saw an article that recommended using lysol, the kind you dilute. Pour it on your scalp, ears, etc and let it dry. Leaving it on do it again and let dry. Leave on for all day or night if you can before you wash it out. Have not tried it as mine are gone or reduced so as not to be bothersome.

Good luck.

Have been suffering with skin problems for years it was especially worse on my face. Itchy eyebrows and ears.and a crawling sensation at night it looked so bad some days I would'nt even leave the house. had a skin biopsy done and it came back as demodex mite infestation. had no idea they had been causing my eye problems as well blepharitis, eye lashes falling out, dry & irritated eyes and blurred vision. my pores are enlarged & my skin is wrinkled with broken capillaries. have been taking doxycycline tablets for 2 months with no success tried the permethrin 5 times 4 days apart didn't make any difference. even tried 50/50 tea tree oil solution from head to toe for 2 weeks helped a bit with the itch but did kill them. am now trying benzyl peroxide has helped the itch on my face a lot. if this doesn't eradicate them completely I've ordered a product that is primarily used for animals for demodetic mange but I've been reading online lots of story's from people using it to cure their scabies and demodex infestations seems to be the only thing that really works when all else fails. has 73% sulfur 25% mineral oils and 2% pine oil from what I've read you should cut it down 50/50 solution with any essential oil or zinc oxide so its more tolerable with your skin at this stage I'm willing to try anything! You can order it from amazon or I got mine from e-bay.

The apple cider vinegar, gives me a "flush" as well! It is because AVC is highly acidic. I too have Candida Albicans, and it takes awhile of constant use for a "reaction" to happen. At least one that you would notice. I personally, have just ordered DE. Diatomaceous earth. I will use this both externally for bird mites, and internally, for the candida! DE breaks down the "exoskeleton" of these parasites, and then immediately dehydrated them!!! Here's to hoping! -Sunnie

i would bathe the cats and yourself with grandpa's pine tar soap. just suds them up and try and leave the suds on for a few minutes and rinse. this will make the mites and/or fleas come off you and your pets and is also good for skin irritations. fleas, mites, mosquitos, etc. do not like the smell of pine tar and will not soon come back on the animals or you.

someone else may have some ideas for your house - but i know that anything with citrus oil in it can help. you might make a spray with orange oil and water and spray it everywhere. once my friend had scabies and came to my house and sat on my bed. that night after she had left i felt weird crawling sensations on my skin - but none got into my skin. later i found that the bath oil i used contained citrus oil and that is what saved me from the scabies. you can also spray this on your cats and yourself after the pine tar soap treatment.

good luck

I freeze every garment I wear: jackets, hats, scarves, socks, shoes, everything. Make sure damp clothing, including shoes, dry prior to placing them in.

Kleen Green, at least twice daily, helped me inordinately. Petroleum jelly suffocated them for me on my eyelashes and eyebrows.

I did this in several spots including the area of the lady parts, and all told, probably about a 100 came off me. Going to get a big bottle more. And I will add it to the washer and thinking about using it on my floors.

I have been fighting this for 2 years now...quite frustrating to say the least, but have found some things that have helped greatly...I used a naturopath to test some cures...Venus Fly Trap extract tested positive as did Green Hull Black Walnut extract, Wormwood tincture extract, sulphur homeopathics and calcarea carb, Neem tested (likely for killing the flying things)... I have also used a homeopath and he has put me on what he feels is my constitutional and feels this will rid my body of them...Graphites is the remedy he said was my personal remedy...everyone has a different one and you need to find a good homeopath to discover yours...if will cure most of what ails you. I have to admit the things weakened considerably using the Graphites...unfortunately I need the coffee to work daily with lack of sleep and that does inhibit the effects of the homeopathic, as does mint and all strong smelling and tasting things (perfume) for example...which makes it difficult to effect the cure...but I'm pretty sure if you get your right remedy your body could heal itself...Homeopathics are miraculous...I've seen them do many amazing things overnight...stop OCD, make kidney stones disappear stop flu in its tracks, get rid of 104 temperature in 15 minutes, etc... So I believe homeopathics could do the job alone, but a combination of them and herbs could easily do it...I have found that calendula ointment and possibly wormwood on the skin really cleared up the mites on the face. Has anyone else experienced what I have with the worms? I never hear anyone talk about it...My white worms seem to harbor in my feet...and when I go to bed they seem to awaken and crawl up my legs to attack the rest of my body...I have had worms as long as 3-4" come out in the bath...I actually make large pots of wormwood/black walnut/quassia and other teas and strain them into my bath...helps some. I'm wondering if I have Morg and something else going on at the same time because I've heard no one else speak of these symptoms. I have found over time that these buggers become stronger the harder I fight them...especially the tea tree oil...it seems to drive them deeper into the body...when they feel under attack they lay larva like fiends. Anyway, I could write on for hours about my experiences, but this will do for now..Good luck!

How are you feeling these days. I have symptoms similar to yours. Morgellons, mites and white worms in nasal cavities. All came on at once.

I wonder if your homeopathic remedies have helped, I am killing some with herbs and Ted's borax and baking soda has taken the edge off the Morgs. Still have waves of mites and many worms have made themselves apparent in the rest of my body. I am hoping you can report some relief for your situation.

re: American Biotec Labs ionic silver and JohnEllis.com water machine -- I have largely healed, very clear skin now after years of various illnesses and almost two years of hell w/ rashes, itches, lesions. Healed with about a half bottle a day of ABL silver taken as a gulpful several times a day. I also used vaseline, even on my head, and slept in it. Joy dishwashing detergent will get it out after a couple hair washings. Vaseline seemed to choke them off, make them come out, and was very soothing.

Salt Scrub

Used a simple citrus salty body scrub from Bath & body works. And also but African black soap which is very drying to use daily afterwards. The salty scrub seem to help a great deal and I used it once a week for about a month. This is alleviated almost all of the itching. It's been a year now and I rarely feel itchy. I don't think it went away completely, but it just seems like a regular itch for the most part now which is just occasional. If I start feeling worse then I use the salt scrub again. I'm thinking any salt scrub would work. I still use the African black soap but not every day since it is very drying. I wash my hair occasionally with dandruff shampoo. I had this problem for about a year and tried so many different things but this seemed to work the best for me. I hope this helps others please let me know.

I want to seriously recommend the dry sauna. I got rid of o many bugs on my body including the ones that invade your ears, eyes and private areas. I'm thinking you might have some of what I have. Demodex are long and thin and booklice are black dots. Even the lice clinic and Terminex thought it was debris from my hair. It's not. The problems is that I had lice also. So lice killer would always make things worse. Lice killer was killing the lice and the demodex and booklice were thriving, because they like moisture. The trick is to get rid of all the moisture. So, the dry sauna will kill a lot. It's 170 degrees in there, but I think I still had a few of the Dems and booklice, because of setting in the dry sauna. Then I thought as long as this stuff was gone from my hair I could just change bed sheets. Somehow I got them or maybe they weren't dead. I read that cats can carry Dems and booklice because they are in the grass. I'm putting more killer on the cat. I saw also that epsom salt and swimming in chlorinated water will kill them. I think I'll do the dry sauna and have a swim at the rec.

How much Kleen-Free Naturally in a 70 gallon bathtub?

Just when I thought things were improving for my client -now I think I might have contracted the demodex. When I first met wih her, she had a cat in the room, which rubbed on me until I asked her to please remove the cat due to my allergies. But now I think I was too late. Today I feel like there is something burrowing/biting into my skin. I want to stop this before it gets a good foothold. I have been doing the borax and hydrogen peroxide baths right from the first day, along with steaming all my clothes, bed and furniture, vacuuming at least once a day and cleaning floors with enzymes and applying DE to floors and to all of the furniture that I don't use. But now I am not sure it has been enough. I can't keep on doing the borax everyday as it is not good for the heart. Hopefully the Kleen-Free will help me get this under control. I would appreciate any info as to how much to see in a bath. Please be kind enough to reply to my plea. Thank you and God Bless you!

Does anyone get bitten outside? For four years I have had this and I can't even go outside. I can't enjoy my grandkids. I am being robbed of my life. I pray every day that God will heal me. This is a horrible horrible thing to have to live through doctors think it's delusional. I just wish one of those doctors would have it just for a couple days, someone told me you should always hug your doctor. I pray we all get well and we can help each other. God bless. Now my house is infested with them and I can't kill him. We've tried bombs we've tried poison we've tried cedar sod we've tried apple cider vinegar. No one knows what we're really going through except for us. I just wish the medical community would be aware that this is real and we need help.

The tremors from Parkinson's coupled with the fatigue from sjogtens makes it impossible to clean. I want to take a bath but share the house with 3 men whom I suspect have athletes foot. I just tried the Borax 20 Mule Team and am grateful that I found this Borax/Hydrogen peroxide mix for baths, only I added 2 cups of table salt to the 3 cups of Borax and 2 cups of Hydrogen peroxide. I feel so relieved for the first time since this started 3 years ago. I know it will take more baths, but it works well enough the first time to tell you it's going to work.

Tomorrow I'm going to get the Kerosene as my Grandma's generation and before used it to kill body parasites like chiggers and lice. So despite what warning is on the bottle, I know that it's safe to use from head to toe every 3 days until well.

If anyone needs Antifungals like Itraconazole, etc you can get them without a prescription from Vitacare88.com. It's human medicine and it's good medicine, I know because I've been ordering it for 3 months. They will arrive in 7-14 days. They have Ivermectin too, but a doctor told me that the Ivermectin paste for horses was as good and it's cheaper. God bless you all with healing.

But the next day he called and said he has mites and is going to have to have his whole house dry cleaned. We can't afford that. I have lung cancer and am having to pay for chemo out of pocket as I have no health insurance. I read on the internet that vinegar will kill them I just hope apple cider vinegar will do it. My sister said if they are not cleared up by the time I go to the oncologist to tell him about it. And if it were her she would give my father in law a piece of her mind. I did not have them when I went the doctor. And my husband keeps saying if he doesn't have them then I familydon't. I don't think that is true. I tried to make another appointment however all doctors are booked up due to COVID outbreak. And my husband said he is not paying for another Dr. visit because he is already paying for the cancer. Hopefully the apple cider vinegar will work. I am miserable. Cars are broke down my husband is using work van. I am not authorized to drive it. All my family live to far away to help. I have a few friends but they either have COVID or are working. Does any one have any ideas?

Manuka Honey +

I had an earlier version of mites that persisted and thrived in my skin.. like scabies but harder to eliminate. I could BOIL my clothes and it wouldn't phase them. I found the best thing for my body was a manuka honey treatment but I could duplicate it with locally accessed ingredients for less and no wait on the shipping from new zealand. you need to blend ingredients to have it work. the most effective treatment was the mildest surprisingly. their lotion was a dilution of the oil, and it actually stopped the infestation. I would get a bottle of east cape manuka oil and one of lemon myrtle oil and mix in the base of sweet almond carrier oil. 6oz of almond oil to 1oz manuka to 1/2 oz lemon myrtle. These three ingredients make a lot of the product you need. and a small amount of this into an unscented body lotion well mixed, applied several times a day and the rash would be gone. for my clothes and bedding I used Kleen Free (formerly Kleen Green) and several ounces in a warm or hot laundry cycle would get everything if I soaked things first. I understand borax works and it's cheaper, but I haven't tried that. The great thing about Kleen Free is a gallon makes over 10 gallons so you can put it in a spray bottle and spray your hair, your skin, it gets the ones that might be crawling. if you have scabies this will work for you; be persistent, at any notice spray the kleen free solution (i get the unscented) and put the lotion on any active "underskin" area and around that area to keep them from traveling to a new part of the skin. I would sleep with a spray of the kleenfree on my hair in a plastic bag. But you have to treat everything at the same time.. use something on all surfaces, and yourself, make sure your bed is in a zipped mite free casing, the bedding is clean, and then continue this process. you can beat them !! I did it successfully for years, but occasionally I'd have a piece of clothing that I hadn't worn and it would start the infection process and I'd treat everything asap to keep from further invasion.

I hope you have already found HCOL. I ordered it from Amazon. I have suffered since January 1993. Went to dozens of Dermatologist, Doctors and Esnaticians. None were helpful. I was searching for something recently and found this item. I think it is an "L" on the end, if not, try and "I". It is super safe and you can spray it everywhere and it gets rid of Mites. You do need to follow up according to the reproduction cycles to keep them gone. These cleaners are sold by the gallon and Personal use containers to spray on CLOSED eyes at night. I spray them every night and sometimes spread it over my face. I guess I cannot recommend this: But, I spent the last 3 weeks digging with my fingernails to get all the debre out of my pores and I am beginning to see a clearing of my complexion, thankfully I used 91% alcohol to clean lesions as I recently read the 71% does not work on Dust Mite Lesions. Apparently, according to what I have read--Doctors have for years been trained to consider these mites harmless. Well now for some reason the Mites are on the uprise and Doctors are still not helping their patients with this problem. I have read that they can enter any organ in our bodies and cause real problems. I also had them in my eyebrows. If you have pets, I have read they have Mites, but different and their mites cannot live on humans.

This product you mentioned, "Eradicator", also has cellulase in it. Several years ago, someone created a salve for Morgellons that was made using cellulase and patented. From what I have read, it was very effective. Citric acid works to break down a mite's exoskeleton. Cellulase does the same thing. I think these things are important to note because mites often cohabitate with other mites, parasites, or pathogens. Whatever seems to make their lives easier, they gravitate toward. I'm happy you found something that works for you. And I appreciate knowing about Eradicator because I've been looking for something to try with cellulase in it. Like you, I have tried and made several temporary solutions.

I have read several posts about mites and wonder, why wouldn't taking four garlic cloves a day work the same way as what is recommended for worms? I read that if you make the environment unpleasant for parasites they won't stay. Please advise why garlic would not work on mites as it does on worms.

I think there is a misunderstanding here...I was not having a problem with mites. I kept reading complaints of people who do and asking how to get rid of them. I had read that eating four garlic cloves a day would rid you of a tapeworm which I understood to be the hardest parasite to get rid of so I only inquired about eating the garlic cloves to make you an undesirable host.

I bit on garlic cloves to get rid of a tooth abscess. That's when my hubs would not come within three feet of me! I NEVER drank garlic tea. EC put my suggestion of swallowing the garlic cloves with a post of someone who drank the tea. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding!

Collagen, Diatomaceous Earth
Posted by Mite Sufferer (London) on 12/30/2016
★★★★☆

Hi I have been suffering from some sort of mite infestation for a couple of years-unfortunately I seem to pick it up from my dad every time I see him, but he doesn't feel affected so won't do anything about it.

May be a coincidence, around the time I started taking collagen supplements (the one I take comes in a liquid form) the mites just went away.

I'd also been re applying Diatomaceous earth to carpets hoovering/and reapplying once a week for a couple of months. Washing hair and body in tea-tree oil type shampoos and conditioners and washing all bedding a couple of times a week- so it could have also been that the DE was working, it can maybe take a long time. I got a duster and went around all the scurting boards, as well as sprinkling light over the carpets.

Unfortunately after a month of peace the mites came back- I think because my flatmate, who is never in, was off work for a week and hanging out in the living room with all his stuff/coats/blankets all day, and I hadn't been putting DE in his room. I came into the living room after he'd been hanging there a couple of days and almost straight away started to feel a crawling biting sensation again. Around the same time I had forgotten to buy anymore collagan supplements and had not taken the them for about a week. Anyway I have since gone into flatmate room with DE and have started taking the supplements again. I do feel a crawling sensation but not as bad as bad as before- and no pinprick biting (touch wood! )! I did some research after taking the collagen and thinking it might be helping, and (and as well as helping with wrinkles) it does also have some sort of anti bacterial affect on the skin. Hope this helps!

Daily baths with Dawn, essential oil, apple cider vinegar and sometimes epsom salts and changing clothes regularly greatly helps. windez got rid of them on my shoes and feet. I am still shedding black specks, and I have only gotten a few reprieves for my eyelashes. I use a tea tree gel cleanser for them, but I can't seem to eradicate them. Awful when they are on ur eyelashes, moving on ur scalp/in hair and going in nose. Am drinking borax solution, 1st round now. Swept your floors with salt . sprinkle it all over the mites want jump . Swept it put in Ziploc bags.Put lint out of dryer in bags. I have more advise that helps but doesn't get rid of them. They reproduce faster than we can eliminate them. I'm the only one in my house they bother.

Thankyou for your feedback! I will obtain food grade hydrogen peroxide and borax and give this solution a good try.

I have found flowers of sulphur (from gardening centre) helpful but the smell stops me using it a lot during the day (other people looking at one weirdly does not help! ).

Diatomaceous Earth (food grade) has been helpful and added to water, olive oil and body lotion stop separating helpful. T tree added very helpful.

1cup of bleach added to a bath very helpful.

But kicking it completely, elusive!

Your journey has been a hard one but it gives me hope!

I'm sure you tried this already but sulfer soap seems to be the trick. I'm trying to help my parents with a similar mite issue, today my mother couldn't take it anymore and came over, dropped her things and immediately went to my shower. I made a bath for her and whipped up a mixture/scrub of everything that I found online that helps with mites which included: a popular bath salt scrub (3.99 at Target for a big bag), organic coconut oil (2.99 I think at trader Joe's), tea tree oil- also at t.j.'s for cheap, apple cider vinegar

I heated up the coconut oil in the microwave and mixed all the ingredients to a thick soup consistency and it seemed to help her a lot. The itching reduced and she was able to relax finally.

Then I kicked them out and sanitized everything... just joking, but fingers crossed they continue to improve. I also made a coconut tea tree oil so they can heat it and leave it on their skin.

Hope this helps you and it won't break the bank..Good luck!

A recent trip to Panama, Central America introduced me to a product called jungle oil. The Amazonian rain forest is parasitic bug and mosquito paradise. The locals homemake this oil in their kitchens as a repellent in this hot and humid Environment. Only info I have is copal slow heat to dissolve resin into the oil. It worked as an effective repellent while we were there. I bought a few bottles back and want to send this to you. Be encouraged. Maybe it will help. Karen

I have had that thought too. Dust mites on steroids. However it could also be springtails, a soil creature that has enormous plasticity reproductive rates and actual size. Throw away all unneccessary paper or fabric items. Seal what you can (leather/canvas) with wax. Sulfur fog vehicles but its toxic so air out well. Washing is impossible because like the guinea worm they explode in population.

I have had bird/rat mites for 3 mos. I couldn't get them out of my car and now my new apt. has them. Pest Control refused to fog my car. I wanted to use a Raid cypermethrin fogger, but the directions say not to put it in any space less than 5 x 5 ft. How did you fog your car? I am desperate. My car keeps reinfecting me.

I read an article that says I have to re-fog after 7-10 days to kill the newly hatched bird mites.

Hello Chandra, (Victoria, BC) ---

Even though Ted's formula has helped a few dogs and I don't know about people, it has increased my dog's skin problems and I had to discontinue it for myself because of the drying effects and no noticeable improvement.

I used MMS with very good results but my skin was like dry paper and again had to discontinue. I did cure my rosacea though more than a year ago only using colloidal silver which I make myself, on a cotton ball, doing half an hour at a time and not for too long. It came back once after sun exposure and doing a little CS application, then did not return. CS is excellent for eye issues with a dropper bottle. It kills the mites around the eye balls.

But I have new mites and some old ones in my eyes and head. Now, after much research on EC, I seem to have the answer.

First of all, NO antibiotics. They will make it harder for the body to resolve this issue.

My skin is very fair and needs goodly amounts of quality oil, not drying remedies. That was the mistake with my big dog, too. His skin began to split and bleed so I saw this was not to be done.

Right now we are using Neem Seed Oil from an ayurvedic supplier. This slightly warmed in cool weather but not in hot weather as it is easy to apply, No microwave, massaged all over the body and in my case the upper body and head.

I do this daily or every other day about three times a week. In my dog's case I keep seeing a lot of dead black small things after massage. But in my case I have to persevere longer with Neem tincture which has to mature for two weeks and daily shakings for now. To make neem tincture, use dry neem leaves powder with equal amount of wodka and keep in a bottle for two weeks at least. Then put through a cloth. I will have to wait now for about two weeks while I apply neem oil to moisturize the body and saturate the skin. I acquired my mite problem by using someone else's pillow. Not from a dog. Later from a garment of a big Canadian store.

I found this neem tincture remedy by researching on EC where a man who was in Africa wrote he cured himself with the stronger neem tincture in three days, applying this morning and evening for three days. I would follow up though to make sure, all is well.

It has to be noted that the neem tree (Margosa) in India is anti parasitic' and bugs and a host of detrimental critters, even freeing land of weeds to make it arable. Including many health issues, such as diabetes. It is considered a holy tree.

A lot of work ahead but I am confident that this approach is very beneficial. All the best.

Namaste, Om

Chandra combining Apple Cider Vinegar and hydrogen peroxide can be dangerous as it forms peracetic acid which is damaging to humans and the eyes and lungs. Maybe stop using peroxide and vinegar together and see if your face improves over time with the other stuff you are doing. The swollen face can also be a huge die off of mites so keep it up (minus the peroxide and vinegar mixed together, although you can use them separately) and see if your face improves over time

Hate to read about others having to live in the hell these similar issues cause, but no matter what whenever I come across posts like these I feel more and more validated. I have stage 4 endometriosis and had to have a hysterectomy to save my life at 33 because of adenomyosis, as soon as the hospital Covid policy changed back that I could have my “non emergency surgery” the exception was spending ONE DAY (not even a total 24 hours) in the hospital after age normally it would've been 4-5 days-It seemed obvious that and contracting Covid 3 months after this major surgery wrecked my already weak immune system. After everything I've been through and sometimes still deal with symptoms of/aftermath of- serious hormonal issues/imbalances, possibly coming close to leaky gut which made me develop a gluten/dairy intolerance, overpopulation of demodex mites, overgrowth of candida (yeast) in my system, and seborrheic dermatitis-knowing they're all connected has given me some serious validation (which helps since it seems most western medicine won't even consider overpopulation of Demodex) I did have something else brought into the equation not long ago and reading April's post esp made me want to share this-have any of you ever heard of carpet beetles more importantly their larvae and the havoc/disruption they can cause in a home? The building my apartment is in is over 100 years old, was sold a year ago, renovations were started in some other apartments. Things were DEF stirred up out of the walls nearby (one wall we share with an apartment under construction) and we saw many what we quickly found out were carpet beetles. Since they were primarily right beside the furniture I spend the most time on and I had for awhile started and kept having these awful allergy attacks out of no where (found out the adults that don't live long carry in pollen we started finding it and seeing trails) even if they weren't I went into research mode and my mind was blown. I can easily see how having carpet beetle larvae in your home can mimic a lot of supposed ‘mite and creepy crawly esp at night issues” they are hard as hell to spot until they get much bigger usually then covered in dust/dirt ect. they eat keratin off our skin and our hair, will crawl into our hair at night eat cotton, fabrics (hide and live in the seams of clothes), furniture (can resemble a grain of sand) ect. I still know I've struggled and still do sometimes just not as bad with demodex but I urge some of you to look into it. They despise the smell of and cloves, neem, lavender, cedar, eucalyptus.

After two years of fruitless cleaning of clothes that could not be cleaned, we discovered the same thing about dipping clothes in the same borax and hydrogen peroxide mix we bathe in. Let hang dry. The thinner the fabric the better. Microfiber sheets are the best. Mites will build nests within your clothes dryer, no matter how hot, eggs always survive and hatch, The combination of wet and heat is a way to explode them in your environment. Replace all bedding every few months. Saturate w borax before tossing or burn. Spray with 91% alcohol every night before bed. If you have hardwood floors the mites are probably in between the floor boards and subfloor. The absolute best thing we have done is pack the grooves between the floor boards with food grade DE (diatomaceous earth) Wear a respirator when spreading twice a month, wipe up exess with dry paper towels. Inflatable mattresses should be windexed often. While building up your immune system is great, don't blame yourself for your crappy habits, it's your body warmth and skin oils these things love but really they can nest in any medium, a scalp, a shirt, an engine, your cat. We have sealed up valuable books with mothballs. Sealing up porous wood products with varnish or orange oil, fresh paint on walls, all good ideas... and minimize, minimize, minimize. Sentimentality for possessions will kill you with this. Spray car down with alcohol before driving, we put plastic bags over car seats and change them every few days. Use car chamois instead of towels...huge difference. Most bugs have become bleach resistant so alkalizing and mineralizing are all good. Use castille soap on body and clothes. God Bless!

Dear Il sufferer, my mom and l have battled these mites for 10 years, my mom twice as long as myself, since l got them at her home. l can tell you that by encasing your bed and pillows in plastic and duct-taping the zippers and openings will prevent much re-infestation. Mostly your car and upholstered furniture and clothes are causing your constant biting, and of course, any relatives that have been exposed to you that do not treat themselves. Now, what works to kill them- Citric acid mixed half and half with water in a large glass and pour over yourself in a bath(DO NOT GET IN YOUR EYES, STINGS LIKE FIRE), scrub and rinse when tingling stops. Lysol spray kills them in 15 seconds. Borax baths 7-20 minutes, with generic oxyclean. Add one half cup oxy first, 2 cups cups borax next. Kerosene kills them in 5 seconds, (Do not use it until you have cleansed with borax baths or citric acid for a week, as kerosene exposes the large infestations under the skin rapidly and the destruction underneath burns where the mites have nested that lasts about 24-48 hours). Avon bug guard with picaridin sprayed on an itchy spot will cause the mites to surface after 5-10 minutes, and can be rinsed away. If you do not treat your whole house you will continue to think nothing works as you are constantly re-infesting yourself. They feed about twice a day, between 3-4 am and 12 hrs later, with constant biting when you sit in an infested area or handle infested items. Your worst enemy is your family who are not bothered much with itches. They are breeders of pregnant female mites and leave large quantities when they visit. These things float off them into the air and land on you, your things, your ceilings, then crawl into all the cracks and crevices of your house and furniture. Your house and outside can be sprayed with a gallon of denatured alcohol with 10 drops pennyroyal and 10 drops clove oil, but unless you are willing to change your upholstered furniture for wood or plastic, it is almost impossible to get them out of the fabric covered things since they creep deeper than your spray, but it is great for the car, dries colorless and no stickiness. Mop with vinegar, they hate it, and use Eucalyptus for a nice smell(4 drops). Best wishes to you and if you can tell me how to convince the family that they have mites, let me know the secret, as it is torture to have them visit.

I've had the same problem for months. Finally think we found the source! Bird mites in my evergreen bush. I was seeing the white floaters, black and white specks on my skin. Same things you described. I also had them in my car, which is parked right by the bush. I'm the only one in my house affected. They all thought I was crazy until my husband found an old bird nest in the tree and when he moved a branch....WOW! They all came rushing out in all their different forms. Some are slmost transparent, some look like white fuzz, some are black and look similar to a fruit fly but smaller. The nest was abandoned but my neighbor has like 30 chickens....curious if she's had any issues. We sprayed the tree and the whole outside of the house then dusted with DE. Bombing the house tomorrow. I'm just happy to finally figured out what this is that's been eating me alive.

M: Glad to hear of your success against "the critters" as O.R.H. puts it.

As for conventional medicine, it's like any other business or financial social structure, profit comes first, second, and third, and the public treatment protocols accordingly. So, parasite diagnosis or treatment, either internal or external, are classified as "profit threatening". It's much more profitable to treat the chronic effects and disease states that parasites produce, in other words do not treat the disease, treat the symptoms. So, clinically, parasite infestation isn't a disease in their book. The disease states produced by parasites is extensive; like Chronic Fatigue, Anxiety, Depression, Sleep Disorder, Mood Swings or Bipolor Disorder, Mental Decline or Alziemers, Fibromyalgia, etc.

From this understanding, it is a mistake to take their attitude as personal, although from the patient end, as you have confessed, it is very personal and affects the entire organization of one's life.

Now back to the Garlic, it would prove even more effective if you consume it orally as well as apply topically. Garlic is similar to DMSO the organic solvent, it finds it's way over the entire body as is evidenced by a strong G body odor when taken in excess. So, during your topical application also do large oral dosing for maximum benefit.

This website has been very helpful to me and I think it is important to keep a positive attitude as you work through the remedies that work for you. Mariam, I agree with the way the medical community treats you. A doctor in a well-known Dallas dermatology office charged my insurance company $6000 for three treatments of permethrin cream which did not solve the problem. What works for me are the following: borax & peroxide mix, apple cider vinegar 2x daily, 1 heaping t of raw minced 2x daily mixed in green salads, and Kelp capsules 1x a day (for the iodine). I do not eat anything sweet because that makes it worse. From what I have read, I should continue taking the above remedies for 2 - 3 months although I feel fine now except that I will feel a crawl on my scalp occasionally but not on the rest of my body. I spray chairs, beds, cars, and rooms with Windex, 91% alcohol, or Lysol and I mop with Dawn and Borax. One good side effect of the ACV and garlic is that the mosquitos do not try to bite me anymore. I rinse my mouth and throat with milk after eating the garlic. Also, wash all clothes and linen daily while adding borax to the wash.

Mariam, I agree so much that the mainstream medical system is failing us badly on this one.

About 2 months ago I started itching all over, especially scalp, eyelids, inside & outside ears, crawlings up my nose, & inside genitals. A nightmare, especially since I don't see any critter on me. Then I realized there are birds nesting inside the roof of the apartment building where I live, (these are migratory birds that winter in southern USA) and various bugs dropping into my apartment from gaps in the ceiling that probably include the nearly invisible bird mites.

But I seem to be the only tenant who's affected. My apartment is covered with carpet, moving out would the better option?

Meanwhile, I try to change whatever in me attracts these buggers to me. I stopped drinking any alcohol. Avoid sugar of any kind. I eat tons of raw garlic. Spray essential oils (cedarwood, eucalyptus lemon, mint) liberally on myself and bed sheets before going to bed. Smear my scalp, around eyes, around nostril openings, ears and neck with tea tree oil. (Do NOT put tea tree oil inside nose or into eyes.)

As for topical applications of alcohol, I must avoid isopropyl alcohol as my joints get inflamed when I use that. Too toxic, gets absorbed through the skin, etc.

I figured that the kind of alcohol for drinking (ethyl) would be non-toxic. I found that vodka applied topically provided immediate relief. I don't drink it.

The crawling in my ears, nose and at the root of my eyelashes was driving me nuts, so I bathed my closed eyelids in vodka. With Q-tips soaked in vodka, clean inside nostrils and ear canal. Poured vodka on genitals, it burns like hell for about 20 seconds, but provided hours of relief. Inserted & twisted a Q-tip soaked in vodka up my anus.

Have been doing this for over two weeks now, and skin is fine so far, and much less itching and crawling.

As for the stubborn crawling on the scalp at the top of the head, tea tree oil or mint would only work for a brief time. I seem to have bugs embedded into the hair follicules. So I gave up and poured 95% ethanol anhydrous alcohol on my head (cheaper & stronger than vodka). This provided instant and long-lasting relief. I don't seem to get sore joints with ethanol.

I wash my clothes in borax. Threw my mattress & pillow away, and got rid of half my clothes and clutter. All of this helped. I'll try the topical garlic, borax and salt baths. Thank you to all who posted here, you are life-savers.

Spray your body, your hair and the inside of your clothes. After you shower, get a bar of sulphur and re wet it putting that all over your body and wear it all day. Drop small drops of peppermint oil or wintergreen oil on your scalp but be careful because too much burns. You can use some gelled Skin so Soft in your hair along with that. Then spray Jovan Musk on your body. I tried everything and this is the only thing that worked for me. The whiskey/water, peppermint, muskcombo really kills them.

Wow! I had this very same experience with my hair. I had a job at the time and people thought I was gross and judged me. I had no idea what was happening to me. It's true I did start using neem soap and maybe that helped. That was 4 years ago though. I have demodex and booklice. I think I had lice. I'm pretty sure I did, but the dry sauna fixed it. The neem soap was causing swelling in my eyes and I couldn't even see they would swell up and dry up so much, so I stopped using it. I wonder if they were swelling because it was killing mites. I thought I was just allergic. Oh! Taking drops of CBD in my coffee in the morning was clearing up any rosacea or affects from maybe the neem. I want to seriously recommend the dry sauna. I got rid of so many bugs on my body including the ones that invade your ears, eyes and private areas. *The following I have been posting. I don't want to keep redoing it to fit every post.

Enzyme Cleaner

This is an alert for everyone. I am looking for help from regular posters and anyone who knows something.

I have a long sleeved blue cotton t-shirt from a real big super store. When I wore it at night, there was severe stinging in patches. I was in denial and washed it with Borax. Wore it one more time and then threw it into the garbage after the same type of intense needle like stinging in patches at night. That was on my torso.

However, the deed was done. Wore a night dress I hadn't worn for a year as it is for winter. I had already passed on to this garment. Again, into the garbage. I discovered raised bites in the shape of a horseshoe to my horror. Because of a previous poster's mite success story, I had purchased online an enzyme cleaner that just came in handy. These things I have now are different! Second night they attacked my torso and I reached for the spray bottle. All quiet but in the morning more bites to see in the mirror, bigger and better. I searched this section for Ted's morgellons treatment. They were two chemicals. Does anyone know? He said to use these as soap on the body.

The company who sells this enzyme cleaner told of many desperate calls from all over the world from people hit by this plague, partly caught from newly bought clothes.

A chicken keeper who posted here recently said that enzyme cleaner was the only thing that helped and cured the mite problem. And I remember that years ago, I saw another post on EC by a lady that claimed success with enzyme cleaner for mites.

I tried to find it in the stores without success till I found info. online. I have to study that now. So now know that brand new clothes can be like a Trojan horse. It is difficult to know if such a garment came from China or elsewhere.

Any suggestions, please.

Namaste, Om

The easiest treatment for Morgellons is to obtain tetrasodium EDTA and take a bath with it and use that like a soap. Ted

Hi Om,

Thanks for the alert. How are you doing now? Did you use the enzyme cleaner? I've read about the enzyme cleaner called Kleen Green... I'm assuming that's the one you're talking about??

Other than the tetrasodium EDTA, I've read that kerosene applied on the body and scalp gets rid of hard to treat mites.

Do you mind sharing more about the shirt you bought? Was it in a package or was it exposed on a hanger? Do you mind sharing what brand it was? With small children, I'm especially concerned... as I'm sure are many others... since we need to buy new clothes for them every 6 -12 months. My boys are growing fast!

In any case, please keep us posted on this and what treatments do and don't work for you... and anything else you learn. Take Care, Meeya

Glad Kleen Green did the trick! I plan on getting some just to have on hand. In fact, I think I will wash all new clothes with some Kleen Green added just to be safe. Thanks for all the info! Very helpful. Blessings, Meeya

WARNING!

Demodex mites cling to hairs, fuzz, you name it, what ever they cling to the crash into your body, foreign material is rebuked from your body which is where the Morgellons nonsense came from. See a qualified dermatologist and ask to be treated for an over obligation of Demodex mites. Be specific and dominate, Good luck. I'm doing great now.Go to entomology sights or cdc for info!

Timh, would Serrapeptase or Nattokinase or Lufenuron work externally on a skin C, for example?

Jim --- isopropyl alcohol is very poisonous. In Europe it has been prohibited for many years but it still is touted here.

You can also try Diatomaceous Earth (DE) internally and externally, following up with hemp oil to moisturize. Use your own saliver (sp). Whenever you can; it works very well. Your own body produces antibodies for everything. That is why I also use Urine Therapy with good results in addition to DE. I have also used neem oil with success and like to rotate these items.

Dr. Bronner's liquid kastile soap with essential oils, all natural, on a washcloth with dissolved Borax from top to bottom works well. Afterwards you need to moisturize with any good oil or hemp oil. It s very good for skin and hair.

Hey Kerrigan,

I am trying this also to see if it works. How did you get the idea to try this? I'm still taking Ivermectin, Permithrin, just put Mayonnaise on myself all over last night for an hour then had Permithrin on. I am also trying Apple Cider Vinegar Braggs with the mother spraying that on myself also holding it on for 5 minutes on spots. Just started the Mayo and ACV. Anyway I know Oil of Oregano kills parasites. Please let me know how this works. Thank you.

Did you change your diet at all? Is this still working for you?

I now take a bath every night with 1 gallon of white vinegar. I have also used 1 cup of citric acid in my bath. Both help, but the vinegar works best. Does not work as well on scalp, but it does help.

How long did you stay on this protocol? Did you heal completely?

Iodine, Oregano, Hibiclens

I have been doing it for about 2 1/2 weeks and my life is so much better. I still have problems with my scalp, but it is nothing like it used to be. I do not do my hair in the tub, I learned the hard way not to do that as it spreads to the rest of the body. If I could get the scalp under control I think I could beat it as my body is almost normal. It seems to move from my scalp while I sleep. You may be leery of using one whole gallon, but my skin is so soft now. It hasn't been like this for years.

Also, I get my vinegar from Sam's Club as it is only 4 dollars for 2 gallons. I keep a spray bottle with 50/50 vinegar and water whenever I feel something. Just spray the affected area.

I hope this helps you also. Carolyn from Kansas

Thank you for your post and your offer to answer questions! So how did you apply these items to yourselves? External or internal? How much, how often? Or did the problem just go away once the dogs were treated?

Hi, I too have tried multiple products, to rid myself of mites! I have at least 2 species of mites (bird mites and possible scabies)! My question for you is about your reference to "bombing your cars 7 times". First, question is when you say "bombing" are you referring to a fogger? Also, if you fogged, what brand of fogger did you use? And finally you mentioned finding a cure for yourself and your dogs, but "how" did you finally rid your vehicle? (I live in my van, and it is highly infested, and even if I clear my body per oils, creams, etc, I still must eradicate the van) Thanks! -sunnie

Will the combo of DMSO and Colloidal Silver eliminate mites (subdermal) or help control them?

Thank you for sharing your experience. I have been doing similar things- trying all natural things. Just read that in Australia they use Benzyl Benzoate. I am going to try that and also the colloidal silver. I have used cedarcidal from web, which is cedar oil. Washing everything daily and still get them. I think that there is something with immune system reacting- like your boyfriend not getting them--I suspect that there are nutritional deficiencies &/or low immune system for some reason - probably some other infection in the body and high stress-too much cortisol. Hard to know. thanks again.

Ok I've been suffering for almost 12 months now tried almost all the options on this website most of them helped a little but not enough. I finally got help from a Dr who prescribed me an antiboitic, a pre surgery wash and an ointment they are working but I'm almost out if them. I haven't tried the silver yet because it's expensive. So I need details on how you used it. Did you mix the silver and the coconut oil together and use it topically? Did you eat the silver? How many times a day did you do these things? Did you do it before or after a shower or bath? Did you buy the silver in bulk? It's like 10$ an ounce so how much did you use? Sorry I'm desperate for this to be over I am miserable and so infested I can work. I even shaved my head a couple weeks ago out if desperation.
