@ Dirk from Vredenburg - you can try any vetinary supplier, they should stock DMSO. There are some veterinarians who also stock it - especially the saddleries and those who specialize in equine medicine. They may also stock hyaluronic acid.

Dear Hobart, I read your post on DMSO how when you applied it to your test areas and the skin puckered and felt dry. I have done the same thing on my finger where I have really bad joint pain. It took away the pain but left my finger puckered, pruned and sensitive to touch. Did it go away or is there still damage to the tissue where you applied it? I haven't seen an answer to your post. I've only had that puckering when I've touched water after DMSO application. The same as when staying in water for a long time. Seems it sped up the absorption of the water through my skin where the DMSO was. Also could be chemicals from cotton swab if not Organic cotton?

Tested 1.0 ounce Papain dissolved into 4 ounce of DMSO gel (90%) applied topically over the spine.
Papain mix applies very sticky; must let it dry before you put on shirt, or it will glue together.
More over, the mix liquifies to a amber goo after two days. I will dispose the prepared mix, and just make 'just enough' mix for daily use. It smells bad when the mix ages.
I may recommend using a salt shaker and apply papain powder directly to DMSO applied to spinal axis.
Results after three days is still unknown. No issues, positive or negative; none is expected until about two weeks daily application.

I have no opinion on the injection because I have never used chlorine dioxide.
What can add to the healing potential of borax lotion and melatonin lotion is mag oil which is available as a spray on Amazon. All three should be useful for a torn meniscus to heal if it hasn't. For more pain relief, you can test Naproxen lotion. Here is how to make it :
You can test naproxen lotion by filling a shot glass 3/4 full with body lotion. Take 4 naproxen soft gel capsules and poke a hole in the end of each capsule with a large needle. Squeeze the punctured soft gel's liquid into the lotion in the shot glass. Stir the lotion very, very well with something like a coffee stir stick until the naproxen is well blended into the lotion. Apply the lotion all the way around the knee and see if that offers enough pain relief. Cover the naproxen lotion with a jar lid or small saucer in between uses. Naproxen lotion is only for pain relief, not healing. The other three are for longer term healing with daily application.
On the outside chance that this is a nerve related issue, in addition to the knee applications, apply the melatonin lotion and mag oil to your lower spine, from the bottom of the tail bone up about 10 inches. Apply to the lower spine whenever applying to the knee. If that extra step adds more relief, there may be a nerve component to the knee pain and that will take time to heal with daily applications to both the lower spine and knee.
If application to the lower spine adds relief to the knee pain, icing that lower spine area can help speed the healing process.
As always, get your doctor's approval and supervision for all of the above in order to be as safe as possible and to be sure it will be compatible with any meds you are taking.

I forgot to mention, that the "movement in the joint" doesn't sound normal and warrants another scan of the knee.
The Naproxen gel avoids stomach damage from NSAIDS.
My friends who have had TKR had very good results and said they wish they hadn't waited to have it done.

Hydrocodone does nothing for me either and it causes constipation in many people.
If ibuprofen is helpful for the pain, I think you will like the naproxen lotion and it should be useful post TKR also. Make a shot glass up of the naproxen lotion or use ibuprofen soft gels if you prefer, but either way this lotion is easier on your body. Some people find a slightly better effect from Naproxen over Ibuprofen.

Betadine doesn't clean exactly. It disinfects. So it's not useful to use it before dmso unless you are hoping to help the iodine penetrate the skin.
Use soap and water to wash any chemicals from your skin before using dmso. Or just don't put chemicals on your skin, because even without dmso they do absorb into your blood over time.

I am diffusing DMSO 70/30 .5 ml in 100 ml of distilled water.
I have searched for this method but have only found nebulizer info and it is scant at that.
If the DMSO is anti inflammatory then the addition of Clove Bud essential oil seems a fitting combination right now and then perhaps Ginger EO eventually.
I will ease into it for now and see where it leads me.

I don't think lymph acts like blood. I suspect what gets in it is passed along, "hand to hand". The nature of what it is would depend on where it's passed along TO but it appears to move "stuff" faster than blood but I'm still exploring so...I'll probably never get to the bottom of it - no pun intended, LOL!

I hear they make different types of nebulizers. Search for ones that aren't made from plastics that will not tolerate dmso or mms, ect. Do you have any information on how to use it internally? My dog has a gum tumor that is growing rapidly. Had a surgery and they debulked and removed most of it but now it is coming back. You don't use both DMSO and MMS at the same time. DMSO is the liquid form of MMS. I use DMSO with distilled water. As far as how much, you need to start with a low dose and work your way up to what you need. Each person's sensitivity is different.

Yes you maybe right aboat the dose of transdermal magnesium. I have not been using it for very long. Several times I have given my body a very lite all over with it mixed with DMSO and had no adverse reactions. But yes it could very well be as you've said.

Marcy Rose, I have of late found this combination very effective for detox/oxygenation. I use one dropper DMSO and one dropper 35% H2O2 in a footbath for about 10 min. As for oral, this seems a little much especially the H202, but with the 3% may be a good start.

Thanks for your interest in my post! I did try a drop of dmso mixed in with magnesium oil once or twice after writing my post. It worked quite well -- my knees felt so much better that I didn't need to do it again! I never tried the dmso mixed in with B-12 though. Sorry!
I have mainly used the dmso in conjunction with other remedies to treat nail fungus, which has proven to be a real pain in the you-know-what. I combined dmso with grapefruit seed extract this winter: twice a day, 7 days a week. My nail didn't appear to improve, so in February, I tried dmso with wild oregano oil to my toes. 2 months later my toes looked a lot better, but still not cured. In May I combined dmso with a drop of apple cider vinegar every day. Just when I thought the fungus was gone, it spread all over my big toe a few days after I filed down the nail. So I have had to start all over again on the remedies. I am skipping the dmso this time and simply soaking my toes in organic acv and distilled water for at least 1/2 hour a day. I am every hopeful, but who knows if I will succeed.
I also tried dmso with fresh aloe recently to treat a nasty oven burn on my arm. (As I mentioned in another post a few days ago, a hyaluronic acid supplement I was taking made me really out of it for about a week -- almost got in a car accident and then I got a nasty burn). The dmso and fresh aloe remedy combo didn't go so well. The application of the dmso on top of the fresh aloe caused an immediate and intense burning sensation followed by days of red skin... not on the burn, but on the area surrounding the burn. The "sunburn" is only now starting to go away.Well, not sure what went wrong there...

An interesting bit I learned from a couple of the alternative lifestyle leaders is that dmso acts differently above the waist as opposed to below the waist. It seems to burn and cause the skin to get very red above the waist but not below. Just thought I'd pass that on. Daniel Vitalis says to dilute it if you use above the waist.
Maybe that's what happened.

At first your tick idea sounded good, then I thought, what about the fact that DMSO makes other substances enter the body through our skin? Anything we have on before, PR put on up to 30 mins? An hour? After, absorbs into our system. I wonder of this could backfire and take any tick borne infection deeper into the body? Personal information about this product is mostly fragmentary and highly controversial. It is either praised or condemned. Much like other similar substances, such as MMS or CDS.
In addition to its own effects, studies show that it also acts as a carrier of active substances deep into the body, right down to the cells. Even when applied externally, through the skin. This is probably the greatest danger of its use, due to its ability to draw into the body things that do not belong there. I am very interested in this topic and am looking for like-minded seekers who are willing to share. Does anyone have personal experience with DMSO, especially in the neurological field (lyme disease) or related digestive problems? However unrelated it may seem, at least according to conventional medicine. Or its effect on pathogens, parasites, bacteria, and viruses.

I recently read of a man in Asia (sorry, lost the link) who injected the cds. He made it with sterile saline (like you buy for contacts) instead of distilled water. He didn't say how much he injected, but claimed that his knee was back to 100% after the third injection. I'd try this for sure if I had an idea of the dose. If I don't get pain relief soon, I may just give it a go regardless (take the time to make the cds first, so a few days to really think about it). Start with 1cc and see what happens. I drink it anyway with no adverse effects and figure it would absorb into the tissues, do it's thing, and then be metabolized. I'd sure like Art and others opinions on this.

Thanks, Art. That's what I thought. I need to insist on another scan. BTW, last night I was in such pain that I took a hydrocodone that I had from the original surgery (I only took one then, so have plenty left). It did nothing for my pain. I finally took an ibuprofen and it helped. I notice with hydrocodone that all it does is agitate me, I can't sleep when I take it and it does nothing for the pain (which is why I didn't take them). If I have TKR, what about the pain then? They always give tramadol or hydrocodone and neither of them does squat for me. Tylenol3 helps, but I haven't had that in over 15 years. I rarely take pain meds.

JMHO, but I think using low grade DMSO from a feed or tractor supply store is VERY inadvisable. Internally or topically. Lots of impurities that the DMSO will take right into your blood stream, and across the blood/brain barrier.

Hi Joe, here is my personal recipe.
I make a dessert using 500ml fresh fermented Kefir (gut health), 20 Prunes (Digestion + jelly effect), 3 full teaspoons Turmeric Powder (anti-inflammatory, plus lots more), crushed Black Pepper (important, amplifier of Turmeric's benefits)
Put it all in a blender and blend to your liking, then mix 3 tsp of bovine gelatine in a cup and add the mix to while blending. (This Collagen for the joints)
This fills about 5 small glass jars which I cool in the fridge overnight. I eat one every day most times. The taste is certainly not for everyone, but I like it and I know my body agrees.

Regarding gargling with DMSO, I've heard you should not put it in the mouth if you have amalgam fillings due to it pulling the mercury into your system. Does the book you refer to mention this? I'm always careful to use a straw when I take it orally.

Hi,
I bought Amandha Vollmer's book (Healing with DMSO) and she recommend diluting it with distilled water. She does not recommend using it 99.99% at home. I have several bottles with various dilutions - 80%, 50%, 30% with aloe vera.
I always make sure the area I apply it to is clean. I then wash my hands (as anything on them will be carried through the skin). After application I wash my hands again and wait for the area where I have applied it to be dry before putting cloth on.

My first question is how long can one keep DMSO? I have a gallon of Medical Grade that I forgot about and it has been stored in a dark closet for about 10 years. Is it still OK to use?
Secondly: Years ago I was using DMSO in an exterior manner and not really all that much but using daily. My friend and co-worker asked me if I was using it. I said Yes, she said that I stunk to high heavens and she recognized the smell because her husband used to soak his feet in it daily. I could not smell it at all and I have a really good smeller.
Is there an aromatic oil that will not be offensive after applying with the DMSO that anyone has used?

Dear Katzie, thank you for your post. You don't say what concentration of DMSO was used to apply undiluted to your friend's plantar fasciitis. Was it 70%? From the Regency Organics company in the UK they suggest diluting the 70% concentration with distilled water and on more delicate areas like the face and neck diluting to 50%, so I'm wondering what you used. I just found what appears to be a leaded glass fancy type oil/vinegar bottle with a glass stopper and I poured my DMSO blend into it: The blend was 3 ounces of DMSO and 3 ounces of straight Glycerine and 1/2 ounce of cinamon/cayenne tincture and the later the same day I noticed a little white reside on the bottle. I was wondering if crystal might leak lead or some other chemical. If there is a doubt I will toss the blend I made and use something else to store my blend in. Any thoughts or knowledge about this? Water retention and changes in urination frequency due to oral ingestion of DMSO
I'm 35 years old, I take DMSO orally since a couple of months ago. The reason was to increase supplement absorption, for health purposes such as anti-inflammation.
I was taking about 4 drops of 99.9% DMSO in 350-400ml of distilled water twice a day on an empty stomach, in the morning and before bed. I've stopped now, but I sometimes mixed it with supplements.
In addition, I routinely use supplements such as methylene blue, NMN, alpha-lipoic acid, spermidine, CoQ10, resveratrol, omega-3, magnesium, GABA, glycine, and melatonin—mainly those that support mitochondrial function and provide antioxidant benefits.
However, my body has recently started showing signs of water retention. Since I don't have a scale at home, I always weigh myself at the gym in the early afternoon or evening, and my weight has increased by 3-4 kg.Caffeine and potassium-rich teas, which used to have an immediate diuretic effect on me, no longer work as quickly. I also suspected kidney failure and heart failure, but the blood tests showed no abnormalities.However, for some reason, I don't really notice much edema in my body. Since I have a job that requires standing, I feel my legs are slightly swollen after work, but there's no noticeable edema.
I don't have any problems going about my daily life, but the pace at which fluids are expelled as urine is slow, and I wake up 2-3 times during the night to use the bathroom. Each time, I urinate the maximum capacity my bladder can hold. This happens every 3-4 hours. It might also be related to the fact that I was dependent on Ketamine, marijuana, Kratom for several months and was taking high doses every night.
It's been 4 days since I stopped ingesting DMSO, and my symptoms haven't gone away. Since I'm continuing to apply it for dental treatment, I can't say I've completely discontinued use, but I have stopped oral intake. After doing some research, I heard that DMSO can sometimes cause fluid retention. Does anyone have similar experiences from DMSO intake, or have you heard about such cases?

Hey Kelly! Curious how your toe turned out? I was trying to help plantar fasciitis today. I rubbed frankincense on my heel, then used an organic cotton round with pure turpentine gum spirits, then another round with 99% dmso, then wrapped it and wore it like that for probably 5-6 hours. My skin is now dry, hard and tight and throbbing. I soaked it in bentonite clay, then put a castor oil wrap on it. I'm feeling pretty foolish. Wondering if you had any advice on what to do or how this thing is going to turn out? The skin is white and feels like it could die off?

I seem to remember that Lugol's iodine is a cure for nail fungus. Makes sense, as it is also good for Candida or anything in that family. In a pinch, maybe regular old drugstore iodine would work, too. I once heard of someone who cured a horrible case of toenail fungus with laundry bleach but I sure wouldn't recommend that!
