After taking Blackstrap Molasses for a few weeks, my skin started to clear at a very deep level. I had Milia, small cysts that stay in the skin. These started to clear up miraculously after taking the Blackstrap Molasses. It's wonderful stuff!

If you're going for the Iron, learn about the long list of foods and other nutrients that either block or impair our uptake of Iron. Even though some foods, like Spinach, are known to be high in it, it is said to not be bioavailable. Learn how there are nutrients that we can take with Iron sources to enable and even triple our uptake. Intake doesn't equal uptake. You could be ingesting iron in vain if you're putting the wrong foods in the same digestive time period, thus blocking your uptake. More study.

For Kristen the oily skin has improved, does that mean BSM is not good for dry skin? Can somebody please tell me? I have issues like digestive problems, (specially in winters because it is so cold here that I can not go for walk during winter and it really effects me both mentally and physically), keep burping all the time if I eat something with skin like soy beans or kidney beans. Need help.

hello all!
I am a 30 yr. old female who is overweight and recently had gall stones. I also have iron defienciency anemia. My family has started eating organic and all natural 3 yrs. ago. I recently started researching all natural cures as i don't believe in going to doctors unless its absolutly neccessary. I read about apple cider vinegar and blackstrap molasses. i started the blackstrap molasses first (2 tbs daily) and the numbness i was feeling in my fingertips and legs has went away. I am still waiting for my menstrual cycle to come to see if it will ease the heavy bleeding. but it has eliminated my stomach cramping (that felt like labor contractions) that I usually have monthly.
But this is about the apple cider vinegar. let me tell you it really works! started by taking 2 tsp. once a day in 8 oz. of water. 3 days later i had extreme pain in my ear and my jaw that has yet to go away. I also have extreme itching everywhere. That doesn't sound good does it? but it is good cause i know that it is my body getting rid of toxins. I have been peeing like crazy and having regular bowel movements without straining( which is the opposite of the consipation i was having from taking iron pills).
I think for all of you who are all sufferring from itching or jaw pain etc. should up your water intake. I started drinking a gallon of water a day and the itching is going away. I now take 2 tbs of acv chased by a 16 oz. glass of water in the morning, then proceed to drink water throughout the day and i feel great! I have more energy(no more sluggishness)and i know my 5 kids are happy to see that!
I plan to keep taking ACV despite the side effects(unless it brings more harm than good) to see if it will aid in my weightloss.
Also i have been using the ACV on my hair and it has smoothed the cuticle and made my hair less frizzy!

This stuff works! I have suffered badly from fibroids for about 3 years now. I have tried alot of remedies to no avail. I was scheduled to have a myomectomy. Then I came across this site and started taking the blackstrap molasses in September 2007. Three tablespoons a day every single day. It has a horrible taste, but it is SO worth it. Immediately, I noticed a tremendous change in my bleeding. I would almost hemorrorhage, but now it is almost a normal flow. I was absoutely amazed! I had been praying for a a natural remedy and I think I have found it. It has also helped tremendously with my anemia. Previously, I had been to the hospital 3 times because of fainting spells. I have also totally changed my diet and only eat natural foods now and I get foot reflexology treatments done once a month. Also, saying the Lord's Prayer 15 times daily is good too.(If you're religious or spiritual). I have made alot of progress, but I still get hard cramps, but my periods are about 70% better than before. Ladies, just try it and give it chance, because it truly works!!!!

To Katy from Astoria Oregon: You're the first person I've heard that mentioned a craving for MINTS. This was me for about a year. I was addicted to mints, the stronger the better. I loved trying different brands of mints, purchased several packages so that I'd always have a supply. Altoids, Fisherman's, Asian herbal mints. And so your excerpt explains it!
I've been living with anemia for about 3 yrs, and learned about fibroids a month ago. Learned about BSM a week ago! When I started taking the iron supplements, the craving for mints stopped also. thanks for your message.

Molasses (black strap) for joint and throat: arthritic joints and sore throat, plus it's a great energy producer. I would suggest an unsulfered black strap molasses.

Update: Since experimenting with other possibilities, I find that Aloe Vera works well at night, and Blackstrap Molasses in the morning. Raw Aloe works best. One or two tablespoons should be all you need. A perfect cure!

aahh.... Thank you for that. I recently read how wonderful blackstrap molasses is for you but I noticed that I started breaking out. Wasn't sure if it was or could even be the molasses but that was the only new thing I added to my diet. So I stopped for a couple of days and no breakouts. Had two teaspoons yesterday and today another breakout. I'm 51 and should have acne. So should I just keep with it? And how long should it take before the acne stops?

I take BSM in organic apple cider vinegar every other day and every time I take it before breakfast, it works wonders. My leg pain, alleviates in 30 minutes, so for me it performs the function of Advil. However, when I take it before going to bed, I never wake up in between sleeps and have a good sleep.
For me the ACV is antiflammatory as it relieves me from the leg pain, though for the time being, but it works.

Been taking BSM for 5 days and my cold feet and hands disappeared. The following happens each time after taking it:
1.Chest pains.
2.Pains around waste, kidneys.
3.Sneezing a lot.
4.Metabolism seems to be accelerated.
5.Feels like sharp needles under my soles and feet.
6.Feels a little bit energetic (used to be difficult waking up).
7.It seems to have shaken my whole body.
I don't know what it does to my head, eyes and ears. But theres something good going on there.
NB: I want to try Green added molasses tablespoon. I Hope to post the results once I have tried it.
1. Green tea + Ginger=Good circulation.

Hi all, Mostly here on earth clinic we recommend using Bsm to women who have very heavy periods. Some of these women will be iron deficient due to the extreme blood loss but this is only an added extra of black strap molasses the reason we recommend it is because it slows and stops the flow really quickly if you take atleast 3 large tablespoons with a glass of water each time spread over a day- more if you are heavier than normal. The reason it works is because of the vitamin k in it, the vitamin k helps our blood to clot. Bsm is good because whilst helping people with low iron levels it also helps those with higher levels balance out their values because it contains a balance of minerals and vitamins. It has a lot of potassium in it which helps balance our sodium levels. In Cyril Scott's book on the subject he recounts a huge list of illnesses that have been cured by Bsm - most notably cancerous growths. I appreciate this does not necessarily answer your question but hopefully I have shared some important information on Bsm.

How are you consuming the molasses? I've put a tbsp in distilled water but doesn't taste the greatest.
EC: You will find a number of recipes that can make taking your blackstrap molasses more palatable on this page.

If your body is anemic/low in iron this stresses the body to work harder to overcompensate for the lack of iron and the additional stress causes gray hair and other symptoms. When you take the molasses and restore the iron levels in the blood the body is less inflamed and thus, less like to grow gray hair. The molasses probably doesn't do anything for gray hair except restore an anemic body back to normal so normal healthy hair can grow anew.

I am shocked and will continue to take this for my usual low blood count. I feel so enegetic. I shared information with co-worker and picked her up a bottle too. Lets keep sharing this information so others will know the benefits of BSM. Joyce

I have been anemic all of my life, but it got worse when I my fibroids began to grow. After surgery my iron levels were still very low. My Hct hoovered around 21, the average is 41-53. I decided to try the BSM instead of taking iron pills. My Dr. checked my levels 2 weeks after taking BSM (1 TBSP/day in a cup of coffee or tea). I was still low, but it had increased to 34 instead of 21 which was a norm for me. The Doctor told me to keep doing what I am doing. I do have more energy while take BSM but I do notice that if I skip the weekend doses I begin to feel drained by Monday.

I use Plantation Unsulphered blackstrap molasses. It cured anemia and increased my iron levels. Prior to taking molasses again, I used otc iron pills with minimal visible results. I now take two TBS daily of the molasses, and my iron levels rose. Although the molasses tastes different, it's better to take molasses now then chemo later in life.
Anemia

I have been anemic for over 10 years after my last pregnancy. My doctors (I have several within these 10 years) asked me to take OTC iron supplements once a day for life. One of them even called me to go for blood transfusion. Not good at taking direction, I only took the supplement only once in a while when I felt too tired. I also declined the advice for blood transfusion. I thought my iron supply should be enough with the food I eat. Until recently, my latest doctor suggested that may be, just may be I was anemic not because of iron but something else. She sent me for a blood work, testing both the iron level and the genetic condition called "Thalassemia". Sure enough, my anemic condition is not because of iron, but because of Thalassemia. What is more - I am now overloaded with iron 3x the max amount. Luckily I did not religiously taking the supplement, otherwise my liver, heart and spleen would be severely damaged by now. Just thought to share my experience.
Toothaches

I used to get extremely painful toothaches. I remembered my mom telling me once about Blackstrap Molasses being full of nutrients (calcium and magnesium) in large amounts in general. So I thought I'd try it the next time my tooth ache occurred, and within half an hour, my tooth ache was completely gone. When my young daughters had growing pains, I decided to also try this on them: (1 tbsp) followed by any liquid (water , milk, juice, just to wash it down). Her growing pain had stopped. As I had figured these tooth problems and shin aches may have been from a calcium/magnesium deficiency. The pain had left her in under half an hour. I believe from my own research that if the body does not get enough calcium it will leach it from other areas..thus the pain.
