I decided to try coconut oil on my hands, which have been dry, worn and terrible this winter! I am even beginning to get psoriasis on a few knuckles! I decided to massage coconut oil into each hand for about 5 minutes in the morning and evening. After 2 days I have to report that my hands look a thousand times better... softer, more feminine, etc. I think this is the best natural cure for dry skin. Hope others try it too!

I used coconut oil during my twin pregnancy and got no stretch marks at all (they weighed 6 & 7 pounds, that's 13 pounds of baby!). I rubbed it on my stomach every day 2 times (morning & evening). I used it again with my second pregnancy and still have no stretch marks (he weighed 11 pounds).

Coconut Oil cured dry Skin on my scalp and body. I'll check back with you on the cholesterol lowering effects, but my skin is not nearly as dry as it was and my hair and scalp loves it. Never greasy just natural and smooth. I am also using it to replace cooking oil. That's where I expect to see the cholesterol lowering results. It has a very mild flavor and withstands heats just as well as other vegetable oils.

I've have been using coconut oil for over a year and it has given my skin a beautiful sheen... I no longer have dry, scaly skin; and it has helped my hair. I make bran muffins with it; stir fries, Thai food, and I put it in my protein shakes and often use it to make omelets. Also it is wonderful for a foot rub.. dishpan hands. I now can eat it right off a spoon.

Perioral Dermatitis

I recently started using coconut oil on my skin. I have really bad acne and i tried almost every acne product you can think of and spent hundreds of dollars on medications and nothing worked. I came across some information on coconut oil and decided to try it. I started using the coconut oil two weeks ago. My skin has improved greatly. The texture of my skin is no longer dry and flaky, plus my pores are much smaller. My face looks so much clearer and I actually have been getting compliments on my skin and how healthy it looks. I want to mention that I have perioral dermatitis which in the past I had to use a steroid to get rid of this condition but as soon as I stopped the steroid the condition would come back much worse. I applied coconut oil on the affected area, and now I have no signs of dermatitis present. Coconut oil has worked for me so far.

I got some coconut oil from a friend that told me to put it on at night before i went to bed. I do not know what kind of coconut oil it is, but i put it on every night. I have always had a problem with acne and red blemishes on my face. The coconut oil cleared my face within days. I was stunned. I have tried face cleansers, proactive, skin buffers, etc. nothing worked for me. I will forever be grateful for the tip to use coconut oil.

Ken,

If you go to the tropicaltraditions dot com web site. They ship to Canada. Shipping seems expensive but I've tried others and I keep going back. The best oils are the gold and green label. They really do taste like fresh coconut. You'll love it! I don't know if there's any advantage in a larger order. I bought a gallon on sale about 9 or 10 months ago and I need to order again. When I try another brand, I'm disappointed. Check shipping cost and customs.

How to Take Internally

i often had a hard time before with my bowel movement. i rarely went to the CR to poop, 4x a week was the most, which i found abnormal. i read an article about virgin coco oil and its effects on health. i learned that it does not have any side effect so i went to a nearby drugstore to get one. The effect was faster than i though it would be. i took a spoonful before going to bed and presto! after breakfast the following day i felt relief because the stomach that was once hard to please voluntarily surrendered itself to nature's calling. i recommend VCO for better health and longer life. see for yourself.
