Hello, I've been using the ACV & Baking Soda since June and have been very please with the results. I went from having NO energy, chronic general joint pain all over, excessive weight and acid reflux to feeling about 75% better with a lot more energy, NO chronic general pain and I have lost 20lbs to date and although my acid reflux isn't gone, at least when it flairs up even with meds, I can now get it under control. I have about 60lbs I would like to still loose. I would like to stop taking my medication for acid reflux, but I think I need to loose some more weight to. I think that in conjunction with the ACV and baking soda would do the trick. I am also on blood pressure medication and would like to see what happens with that to. I have seen a decrease in my blood pressure since starting the ACV. It will be interesting to see if my dr removes me for this medication to. The one thing I was really hoping for with the ACV and baking soda that I haven't seen an improvement in yet is a reduction in my chronic back pain and pinched nerve. I still have to take something for these two when they flair up. I have scoliosis and I guess this will be something I will have to address differently. However, if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to post or e-mail me. Over all I am very very please with the results I've had with the ACV and baking soda. Thanks!

Hello Everyone, Well, it's now May of 2008 and I've been using the ACV & Baking Soda for 10 months. I have now reached my 40lb weight loss mark and couldn't be happier. I have over the last 5 months removed a majority of the processed foods that I was eating from my diet, as most processed foods had allergens in them for me and I feeling even better now that I am avoiding my food allergies. I will continue to learn from as many good sites and this one, in order to continue my journey to better health. Thank you earthclinic and Ted for all that you have done. You are a God send. Kim

Kimberly from Mineral, Va mentioned that she has scoliosis and was saying how she was going to have to treat this ailment differently. There is a "cure." Go to www.egoscue.com for Pete Egoscue's web site. Order his book, "Pain Free." In the index is the root cause of scoliosis and how to cure yourself. Read the first 3 chapters. Book is written so ANYONE can read, understand and follow.Pete Egoscue helped internaional golfer, Jack Nicholas cure his back problems and Jack says so on Pete's site. Jack Nicholas has done very few endorsements in his life. I cite this so people will know this is an actual method that works.

Hey Kimberly from Mineral VA, try aloe vera juice for your acid reflux. I have had chronic heart burn and acid reflux and the past week it has gotten out of control and keeping me up at night. The gal at the pharmacy told me to buy a gallon of aloe vera juice.. and guess what my acid reflux is gone!! I was taking antacids, and baking soda, even ACV nothing was working but the cooling and gentle effect of aloe vera juice has done the trick... i hear its good for weight loss too...hmmmm looking forward to what I'll find. I had chronic heartburn too (like 6-8 Tums Ultra a day chronic) and was not about to start monkeying with my acid pumps. I went gluten free and have not had heartburn since. If I cheat, I get horrific heartburn and feel generally colicky. I drink a lot of coffee, which is acidic, but wondered how drinking apple cider vinegar would "alkalyze" your system? Baking soda is a base, and when mixed with vinegar, forms salt, carbon dioxide and water, and in equal proportions would neutralize each other. I am confuse how this works. Can someone help me understand?

Hi, those who are experiencing weight loss with ACV - with or without baking soda - are you drinking it before or after meals? I am doing everything in the book and haven't been able to budge my weight in 6 months. I also minimize dairy, meat and wheat.

I have taken 3 Tablespoons of coconut oil for almost a month now, and I have gained no weight. As a matter of fact between the coconut oil and the Apple Cider Vinegar I have lost 30 lbs.

I just started taking ACV AND CO. 2TEASPOONS WITH MY HERBAL TEA AT NIGHT. SO FAR JUST SOME LIGHT ITCHING, GOING TO CONTINUE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS, I'M HOPING I CAN USE IT FOR WEIGHT LOSS.

finding your website was a godsend. I tried taking 1 tblspn of coconut oil in the am and the pm. also am drinking glasses of water with added acv, and my pants are literally falling off. my stomach is disappearing fast. have more energy, and am looking forward to excercising every morning, along with moving to eating only organic foods. thanks from a young 70 years guy..and looking great. I'm spreading the word about your website to young and old alike.

Dosing questions: A good place to start is 1 TBSP of coconut oil at a time. I put mine in pomegranate green tea, but you can add it to hot chocolate or your favorite hot drink to melt it. Or you can add 1 TBSP coconut oil to a blended health smoothie/protein style drink that you are creative with. You can also cook with 1 TBSP of it if drinking it feels weird. For the ACV, I use 1 TBSP in 16 oz of water. Personally, I do that with 1 teaspoon of baking soda before bed. Start with a bit less if that is too strong at first. I am doing that once a day at the moment PM, and the coconut oil mid afternoon to control appetite.

Be careful with coconut oil. Start out with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon at a time since it can cause diarrhea if too much is taken at once. Work your way up to a Tablespoon.

One tablespoon of virgin cocout oil (VCO) at a time with a food or drink product as described should not be a problem for anyone, unless you have pre-existing bowel issues. Starting with less VCO would only be helpful in those situations, or if you are taking it solo (not what I described). You need at least a tablespoon of VCO at a time before you will see health benefits.

I will be trying Acv 2tsp two times a day along with 1tsp virgin coconut oil 1x a day. I will be starting this Friday and let you know my progress on November 24th how much weight I lost. I have gained 40 plus pounds in the matter of 8 months. I have a thyroid condition but take medicine for it. I hope this works. It just seems I am putting on more and more weight.

I have thyroid issues also, and have gained 40 lbs in a short amount of time too. I am 67 years old, and have been doing this for 2 days. I have already lost 2 lbs. I will keep you posted as to my results.

Aloe Vera Gel, Slippery Elm, Castor Oil for Weight Loss / Binge Eating

When you are trying to lose weight sometimes the lack of sugar in the diet, irritating/inflamatory foods (like nightshades) or detox cause a sensation of pain or moodyness. Because eating seems to alleviate the discomfort people experience cravings.

Aloe vera gel, slippery elm, and castor oil, are soothing to the body and may therefor help prevent binging.

I have hypothyroidism and for years I fought to lose weight. I tried every diet out there, exercised everyday for 2-3 hours a day. I would lose 5-20 lbs and gain it all back, plus some. I finally saw a dietitian and found out I was doing it all wrong. She explained that people with thyroid issues, can't digest food fast enough, if large volumes of food are eaten. So I was put on a six mini meal a day plan. I was also told no more than thirty minutes of cardio. I did this and very slowly the weight was coming off. I wanted quicker results and saw an article about ACV, baking soda, and lemon. I have hypertension and opted out on baking soda.

I started drinking 2 TBSP of ACV in 4 ounces of water, three times a day. Immediately the pounds started melting away faster with the program I was on. I went from 259 lbs down to 197 lbs in six months. Even my blood pressure dropped to normal, my cholesterol levels were normal, and the inflammation in my joints were gone. If not for weight loss....do it for your health. It's worth it!!

I have been taking apple cider vinegar for the past month to lose weight. It's working and I feel awesome. I take a teaspoon of ac vinegar in hot water with lemon when I wake up, then a tablespoon of it in my sports water bottle, which I sip all day. I have lost 4 pounds so far.

I have been trying to take this apple cider vinegar to lose weight mixed with water and cayenne pepper and lemon juice... But when I do I get a headache.....does it have anything to do with my medicine that I take....bp med latansan, nexium and crestor alliegen med?

I've only tried ACV & water twice & both times I've had a headache. I do 1 tsp of ACV in 6 oz water at night before bed. I thought it was stress until I saw your post.

It sounds like you may have histamine intolerance! That would cause the headache. Hope this helps. To decrease histamine you can avoid certain foods but also you can take histamine degrading probiotics as well as a supplementthat degrades histamine.

I am a believer! I thank God for you. I stumbled upon your website because I was looking for a natural way to lose weight. I was at my wits end. I started reading all of the ACV reviews and they gave me so much encouragement. I had some organic ACV in my kitchen so I started the regimine two weeks ago. I started at 215 lbs and this morning I weigh 209.8! So far I'm down 6 pounds!! During this time my husband and I went out for a special dinner and I had wine, bread, a steak dinner, mac and cheese, and cheesecake for dessert! I have not dieted or worked out once. I take 2 tbls with 6-8 ounces of water 3 times a day and the weight is slowly but surely coming off. Before I would have been so discouraged because I wanted the weight to come off quickly. I have now realized that, like the turtle, slow and steady is the way to go. Along with the weight loss I have also noticed other benefits as well. My skin is glowing, the whites of my eyes are "whiter", I am post-menopausal and would wake up several times throughout the night but since I started taking ACV I sleep without waking up (unless I have to make a bathroom run), and my energy is through the roof! I am so very happy for the weight loss and the other benefits from ACV. This is some amazing stuff! I will continue to take it for life!

Hi, thank you for your post, I lost weight last year and actually among other things I was taking ACV. Just interested what blood group are you?

Also I wonder if the reason ACV helps us loose weight is the vitamin k is good for our liver and gall bladder and helps with fat metabolism?! Just wondering.. Thanks for reminding me. I'll start taking it again but might add some bicarb of soda. Keep us posted of your continued weight loss, thanks.

Be careful with the amount of ACV you put in your water. I started out doing 2 tps in water 3 times a day and it gave me a yeast infection. Honestly I have never felt any health benefits from ACV. When I have stopped drinking it for a few months I feel no different.

Hi. Yes, ACV can be great for you but just like all good things, too much can be bad. A proper amount of ACV can help balance the body's ph levels, especially in the bladder, and help the body metabolize certain things. Just like in the pet section for incontinence and thyroid issues though, too much ACV for people can throw the balance too far to the alkaline and cause infection too. Wisdom and caution, prudence and proportion with all things. Blessings to all.

Dear Ryms88 - I feel that your comment was very negative and cannot believe you have nothing better to do with your time than to write such negative comments. If this site is helping people - even if it's not 'medically' sound - why should it bother you? Many of the remedies have helped people and many have not. The mind is a powerful tool and SOMETIMES if someone believes they will get better, they will. Perhaps it is not a physiologial ailment but something psychological... Why knock that? What is being presented here are natural products that really can do no harm if taken in moderation. Perhaps instead of being so negative you should embrace the fact that people here are trying to help others. And the best part about it is if it offends you so much you don't ever have to visit the site again. May I butt into this conversation? Two excitotoxins (or neurotoxins) that all processed foods and some raw meats are loaded with are both well known for making our entire body fat, not just our ass fat! Search excitotoxins for the two most famous culprits: monosodium glutamate (MSG) and aspartame. Be sure and print out that list of names they hide MSG under and go to your kitchen and read ingredients on everything you eat, drink or chew. This will give you a much better idea of how much of these you are actually ingesting. I'll bet you will never again be naive enough to think MSG is only in Asian or stir-fried foods. Of course everyone should know that aspartame is found in most diet foods and diet drinks - mostly called Nutrisweet. Isn't it ironic that something that is put in diet food to help you lose weight, makes you very obese?

I have been struggling with my weight for a long time. I became hypothyroid after the birth of my second son. My weight skyrocketed up to 260 on my 5ft 10 inch frame. I was getting joint pain, back pain, no energy, irritable bowels, depression..so I began eating more whole grains,vegetables, took multivitamins, ate natural yogurt each day, exercised every day..nothing worked. then I read this book written by a doctor from vermont in like 1958 about apple cider vinegar. Sounded weird but I have tried weirder stuff so I began drinking a teaspoon of it in a glass of water with a teaspoon of honey. That was one month ago. My weight is 239. thats 20 pounds in a month. oh, I am 38 years old.

Why hasn't your Dr.'s put those of you with hypothyroidism on Synthroid? That in itself is the replacement for loss of thyroid hormones. I also, take ACV every morning & night in combo with honey & black strap molasses. Great for losing and maintaining a good weight for your height and bone structure.

I use the ACV 500 mg pills...2 pills, two to three times a day, begore meals. My Chlestrol was 257...I weighed 176 pounds...started taking them Sept. 1, 2006. December 2006, my chlestrol dropped to 120..my weight dropped to 162..today my weight is 149 and I haven't had my chlestrol checked yet. I feel great!!
