I found this site a couple of months ago when suffering for the third time with kidney stones. I did not want to go through surgery again. I had just had an ultrasound and had been informed I had two medium (7mm) stones in one kidney and a large one (14mm) in the other.

The consultant told me I'd have to have surgery again and ordered a CT scan, which took place about a month after the the ultrasound. In the meantime, as soon as I read the remedies here, I immediately drank a glass of olive oil and lemon juice. An hour later I felt really ill and almost vomited, so I didn't try it again. Instead I started drinking ACV once a day, and kept this up most days for a few weeks.

Today I saw the consultant about the results of the CT scan, and he told me the stones are gone! There is just a small 2mm stone in one kidney, too small to worry about, he said.

Thank you so much for the remedies, you've saved me from a gruesome op!!

As a note of advice, don't try LJ and OO on an empty stomach! Take it after food only.

Hi Brown Bomber... If the lemon and olive oil isn't working for you, try taking Chanca piedra -- either as a tea drunk at least three times a day or as 1000 mgs capsules taken at mealtimes. CP works to gently but rapidly dissolve both gallstones and kidney stones. It dissolves the calcium in kidney stones for easier excretion.

Chanca piedra is well known in South America. Chanca piedra(Spanish) and Quebra pedra(Portugese) both translate to mean "Breaking Stone".

Thank you, thank you, thank you... Everyone of you... For the information you so gladly post on this site!!! I am new to the entire field of "kidney stones" and must say I do not like them one bit! A few days ago, I noticed slight pain around my lower back on the left side. It wasn't too bad but noticeble to be irritating. I didn't give much thought to it and after approx. 15 min. or so, it went away. I noticed it again a few hours later but the mild pain went away again.

At about 4:30am, I woke to use the bathroom and noticed the pain had come back but increased a little. After stretching, rubbing, and massaging, it seemed to still linger over the next 1/2 hr or so but slightly built up as the minutes ticked by. By 6am I was rocking on all fours on the floor, then to the bed, then back to the floor just trying to ease the pain a little. I could no longer take it and decided to have my wife take me to the ER. There, I was diagnosed with having "the stones". I recall having the desire to punch my physician in the throat for "thumping" my kidney with a fist in order to determine my response and confirm the symtoms of having kidney stones. From the squirming I was doing and the combination of noises I was making and the expressions on my face, I felt the thumping was not necessary. I always had this suspicion that doctors do things intentionally to laugh and joke about later... Anyway, I was more than upset to say the least.

My nurse had given me 3 doses of Morphine to decrease the torture I was going thru but to no avail. I was twisting back and forth in agony and could only moan in my pillow for some semblance of relief. I was finally given an IV Drip of Dolobid (10 times stronger than Vicoden I'm told) and a button to push every 10 min. in order to release and self administer another dose. I was woozy and light headed but delusionally happy and could now endure the excrutiating pain which seemed to slowly drift away until I felt almost nothing.

I have a high tolerance for pain and have had some terrible experiences with "what I thought" was painful but this pain not just took the cake... It blew the cake into pieces...! I was admitted and remained for 2 1/2 days until I could deal with a tolerable degree of pain while on pain meds at home while waiting for these nasty buggers to pass. I talked to one of the male nurses in order to mentally prepare myself for what to expect and I was glad to learn that he had dealt with stones before. Taking the opportunity to learn from an "experienced stone sufferer", I thought to ask questions about what to expect. I was told that there was no pain quite like it. He told me about one patient who didn't know they had stones until they went to pee in an alley behind a bar one day, and while passing a stone, he felt like digging his hands into the bricks and picking the building up and slamming into the ground until it was out..... That's when I decided to go online to seek out help on how to pass them "smoothly" and avoid ripping my toilet from the floor in the process. I had been diagnosed as having 3 stones in my left kidney with one of them recently breaking off and preparing to make its way out.

I now thank God for you guys... I first learned about drinking a glass of fresh lemon juice, followed by a glass of water and 1oz of lemon juice each hr for the next 12 hrs. I did this and a small stone the size of a pin head came out a few hours later.. And with no pain. I was amazed at how this tiny little thing could cause so much irritation and agony just a few hours earlier. I then experienced a stone getting lodged about 2 inches inside my penis a few days later. It felt like I was "peeing" a glass shard.

I went back online and found the lemon and olive oil combination. Almost immediately after drinking it, the pain subsided and became bearable. It doesn't hurt to pee but it does hurt like a monkey when brushed up against anything. I am wondering if the olive oil will make this stone, which seems to have a jagged edge, smoother to expel even though it is caught in the shaft. I am anxious to write back to notify you all of the outcome. Until then, do take care and happy expelling...

I have been trying ACV and OO lemon remedy for more than a week and it din't work for me. I have tried almost all types of doses which have been mentioned by various people in previous posts. I am thinking of give up on both of these and I am really sad that what should I do now. My stone is in lower pole calyx of right kidney ( size-3mm ). I think it's difficult to pass the stone from lower calyx and also maybe it's difficult to dissolve it. Any suggestion would be really appreciated. Thanks!!

I would keep going with the OO lemon juice and also add in a Tbsp of epsom salt in warm water. Espom relaxes all the ducts and helps release and dissolve the stones. For gall bladder stone pain this works within 30min for me. Make sure you are near a bathroom because the epsom will definitely make you go. Also consider supplementing on a regular basis with magnesium powder, tastes good, not as harsh as epsom, very bio-available and should keep you from getting stones in the future. Apple cider taken for 3 days with nothing else is also said to get rid of kidney stones as well. Some good tips here as well:

I have never experienced any pain from kidney stone. I am in Merchant Navy and I went through medical test prior boarding the ship. Unfortunately, a small stone of 3mm was detected and I could not board. It's been 2 months I have been trying different remedies inckuding homeopathy and ayurvedic medicines and nothing worked for me. I tried Olive oil and Lemon juice remedy for 3 days but nothing has come up. I got the x-ray done and stone is still there. It's in right kidney lower pole calyx, which I heard is very difficult to pass. Could you please advise the quantity and number of times I should take OO and Lemon juice mixture? I have get rid off this stone asap. Please suggest!

Try one oz. fresh squeezed lemon, chase down with one oz. olive oil, a.m. and p.m. Perhaps surgery will be unnecessary. Do this for a few days. Good Luck!!

I passed a 2mm stone in the ER a month ago and it was an excruciating process. Was told today by the urologist that a recent ultrasound shows a 5 mm in the kidney and a few smaller ones as well. My question: If I do the olive oil/lemon juice thing do I start that now or do I wait until the stones start to move? He's offered me lithotripsy as the big stone is too high up to go in and crush at this point. Will the olive oil and lemon juice concoction help break the stones down?? Anyone?? Freaked out in B.C.

I have had back pain and abdominal pain for the past 2-3 months but I thought it was just from a pulled muscle boxing up and moving.... Went to the emergency room and they told me I had a UTI(urinary tract infection) so they gave me meds and took them for two weeks.... The pain just got worse so I went back to the ER oly for them to do a ct scan and there it was a 14. 8 mm stone and a 3 mm stone... I was like holy crap... Ive had stones before but never one that big.... The dr was amazed at how I was still able to walk around and work and care for my son.... I have done a lot of research and today I am trying this lemon juice and olive oil remedy just to see if it will possibly break down this big stone so that I can pass it some how... Where the kidney stone is according to the dr he says that he will not blast the stone until it starts to move or I am in pain... Well I dont want to wait for that to happen because I do not want permanent kidney damage or failure bc of this stone... So I am going to try this and see if it works.

felt crappy for a week, then started xperiencing serious pains in my kidneys. had kidney stones many years ago, so was familiar with the pain. wife was out of town, really didn't want to go to the hospital, drop the kids on someone in the middle of the night, so I started searching and found this site. drank lemon juice and olive oil at four in the morning, wokeup pain free, with some residual aches. a day and a half later, felt another stone working it's way down, continued with the concoction, so far feeling great. will continue as needed. thank you so much for this information!

From what I understand the lemon juice, and even more so the apple cider vinegar begins dissolving and softening the kidney stone. There can really be no other explanation, for if faced with passing a marble through my entire urethal system including the penis, I would be begging the doctors to cut it out. A marble travelling through my little buddy? Not in this lifetime.

Please follow up when you've had your scan. I'm interested in this too. Tried a similar formula when I had pain, cysts and infection in the kidney (even though my ultrasound showed no stones), I passed several pea sized stones, and felt much, much better with 95% reduction in pain and # of attacks.

I started doing this thinking it was totally hokey and that the stones were probably just cholesterol or fat deposits developed from the olive oil and (in my case) grapefruit juice BUT I did a grapefruit and apple juice fast for the first day prior to ingesting any oil whatsoever, and 100's of small stones were coming out the first night, 24 hours after my last bite of food with fat in it and several hours before ingesting any olive oil required int he flush, so that changed my mind about it being complete hogwash.

(I eat, routinely, a LOT of coconut oil in my diet - at least 2-3 tablespoons per day, sometimes more.)

Anyhow, would love to hear how your scans look.

This is a life saver. I was told I had multiple stones with one being 8 mm. The doctor scheduled me for a sonic blast but I did not want to do this... Invasive or not. So I found this site and took 2 oz. of EVOO and 2 oz. Of 100% lemon juice. That night I passed a stone about 4 mm and also passed one the next morning about 2 mm. Then I passed another 2 mm one the same afternoon. All with no pain. I continue to drink Lemon juice throughout the day and drink lots of water. I also take Chanca Piedra. One dropper full twice a day. I am hoping that the big one has decreased in size or came out. I will request another CT scan before I think about the sonic waves to break them up. Good luck!!!! Definitely worth a try. Nothing to lose! Thank you everyone for the advice!

Spent the weekend in the ER with excruciating abdominal pain - the day a routine colonoscopy. CAT scan and cause turned out to be.. You guessed it.. a 4mm kidney stone.

I suspect that the colonoscopy preparation pills: OsmoPrep (Sodium Phosphate) may be related to this stone since a work colleague had the exact same issue a month ago with same pills. Beware!!

Anyway, I suffered in total agony for two days. All the docs could offer up was Oxycodone painkiller (awful and somewhat ineffective) and sit it out for a "week or so". Clearly not an option plus I have a busy job and could not be out of the office that long. Since I used to be a research scientist I decided to use the web for some ideas on remedies.

Ended up on this site. Based on reading all the posts it seems that of the 5 types of kidney stone three of the most common are dissolvable by acidifying the urine so I decided to try the Olive Oil and Lemon Juice remedy (Apple Cider vinegar was just too much for me to handle - it's like drinking paint stripper). No downside except throwing up or stopping if the pain got worse (I guess it might if you have stones that dissolve in alkaline urine)

Somewhat skeptical, but I bought the most expensive virgin olive oil I could find (which tastes OK in bulk actually) and then dosed myself with 4oz Olive Oil stirred vigorously into 4oz of pure lemon juice (bottled). Based on what I have read elsewhere I think the olive oil lipids coat the lemon juice and get it through the stomach acid and into the small intestine where it is adsorbed very rapidly - which may explain the speed of what came later...

You have to chug it down immediately after mixing before the oil and juice separate - a blender might be a good idea - and I chased it with a very large glass of water without pausing to taste the mixture. Don't stop to think about it just chug it down and think about something else.

Then - MIRACLE - pain went from a 10 (bad) to a 1 (minimal) within 10 minutes. I could not believe it. I never needed a painkiller thereafter.

I repeated the dose after a couple of hours and then a third dose just before going to bed around 4 hours after that. I guess there is some upper limit to what you can take but you probably throw up or something. Anyway, only mild discomfort in the morning.

Repeated the dose three times on day two and urinated through a plastic tea strainer throughout to watch for dissolved stone fragments as other posters recommend. At the end of day two I got a small sliver of what I assume to be a partially dissolved kidey stone about 4mm by 0.5mm in the strainer but no other solid material passed that day or later.

Day three back to work and feel as good as new. UNBELIEVABLE. My doc couldn't believe it - but they took the fragment and are going to test it to see which type of kidney stone it was. I am thinking calcium oxalate. Here are two really good sources for kidney stone information:

Francisca is on the money here. Apart from Barry Groves' "2nd Opinion" site everyone should read David Gillespie's book "Big Fat Lies" about the evils of sugar [as fructose, not glucose] and polyunsaturated oils and margarines. Fructose is a leading cause of excess uric acid production. Polyunsaturated oils are unstable at room [body] temperature and overwhelm the body's antioxidant defences. Between them they are responsible for the epidemic of "metabolic syndrome" diseases we see today, which have arisen in tandem with the consumption of fructose in sodas and juices and processed foods, etc. There is also the trouble caused by "excitotoxins". Look it up.

I have had kidney stones since I was 26 separated by up to 10 years of symptom free gaps.

I have had lithotripsy once which successfully dissolved a large stone, but left me with high blood pressure [a known side effect] Worse, doing litho on both kidneys together can lead to diabeties!

I have never tried many of the remedies here discussed but as a preventative I drink lemon/lime water every morning, and during the day as well. I have gone 9 years symptom free, but I have some small stones.

I would like to say that my calcium oxalate stones have come out like little rubbery nodules, but go rock hard on drying out. Also I don't believe they dissolve in the body, but what may happen is that the material that causes them to clump into bigger stones may dissolve so the small grains can pass?

Great site, this.

Two weeks ago I went to the emergency room because I couldn't go to the bathroom (not a drop). Found out I had a 6mm stone. I had a 5mm stone about two years ago and had to have lithotrypsy. This time almost no pain associated with the stone. I couldn't afford a doctors visit let alone any kind of procedure in the hospital so I started looking for home remedies. I found the olive oil and lemon juice recipe and figured why not? Tried 2oz. of each along with 1tbsp. of Apple Cider Vinegar for good measure two or three times a day. This recipe along with the Flomax prescription I received at the E. R. Took a little over a week but, MAN! , it did the trick! A couple of nights ago all of the sudden I had this sharp, screaming pain while going to the bathroom and felt something pass through and heard a small splash. The pain lasted about two seconds with the pain diminishing over the next two or three minutes with a little discomfort for a day or so and everything has been great since. I whole heartedly recommend this remedy!!

I've had kidney stones for years. Searched and searched for a remedy with no luck! Then, about 3 weeks ago, that old pain started in my back and intensified within an hour... Off to the emergency room... As the nurse was taking me back to the room, she told me about her daughter and her fight with kidney stones. This prompted her to do research and she found a medical study that concluded lemon juice does help! I did some online searching and found one here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8709360

a note on this: I'm not sure of the medical terminology with this, but in rare cases the stones are CAUSED by too much acid in the urine... If you try this and the pain increases, STOP!! For me, however, the pain immediately decreased, and my 8mm stone began to dissolve. It took about 4 days for the stone to pass, with significantly reduced pain! I caught it in a filter and it was broken and dissolving! Soooo happy to have this info!

After two trips to the Emergency room in 3 days for Kidney Stone pain and after a week on Vicodin to manage the pain, and then being scheduled for surgery to remove a stone, I found and tried the 3 oz. Lemon Juice and 3 oz Olive Oil treatment, followed by water in one of many online searches I did for relief.

WOW! It's been 2 days, now, with no pain, no Vicodan and I passed a 2mm stone. My urine flow has more than doubled, so, it is likely that the 7mm x 5mm stone that was blocking my ureter is dissolving, breaking up and passing.

Thank you to all for saving me from unnecessary surgery.

Drank 50mil of olive oil and 50 mil of lemon juice mixed twice (night and morning). (Tried ACV but found it too gross. ) Then two more 50 mil of just lemon juice (again night and morning). Woke up this morning and really feel that the stone had been zapped by the acid of the lemon juice - experienced no "flicks" of pain or pain itself the whole day. Perhaps too early to say but am feeling very, very positive.

She was scheduled for surgery to remove it. The morning of surgery they did an ultasound and discovered that the stone was no longer present, and was spared the surgery.

I have had calcium oxalate stones in both kidneys for at least 15 years. I've passed at least 5. The least painful experience was last year, after I tried the olive oil/lemon juice remedy. I sat in a warm bath and sipped it slowly and followed it with tall glasses of lemon water. I passed the stone the next morning.

My question to all of you who have experienced passing multiple stones, many without pain: I have numerous stones in both kidneys. I am hesitant to use this remedy to try to remove all of them at once. My experience was dealing with a stone that was already moving. As you know, the stones I have in the kidneys don't bother me until one of them pops out. The thought of pushing them all out at once, is kind of horrifying.

Have many of you successfully done this? Was it painful? Did it take long, weeks, months? Did you have to take a vacation and plan on feeling terrible with percaset at the ready? I am seriously contemplating trying to cleanse my kidneys completely, but I don't want to incapacitate myself indefinitely.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I have been wondering this very same thing: since I know I have numerous stones in each kidney, I am contemplating trying to purge all of them with this method if possible. When you say you passed several stones using this, was it painful? Did you need pain meds? Did it take longer to pass stones that were still in your kidney than ones that had already dropped down? Couldn't they get stuck, block each other, coming down the ureter?

Hello. I tried this same remedy: One shot of lemon juice followed by one shot of olive oil first thing in the morning and before I went to bed. I did this remedy before I had a scheduled ct-scan to determine where the kidney stones were to schedule the laser surgery to remove them. ( I had a ultrasound before that confirm that I had kidney stones). When I went back to the urologist for the results of the ct-scan he said that my kidneys were clear. He asked, "what did you do"? I told him the remedy and he said.. Ahhh yeah.. The lemon juice dilutes the stones and it is easier to pass them. Of course he was not going to tell me this when I went the first time. He took x-rays, then sent me for ultrasound and then the CT Scan. Thank you.. Thank you.. Thank you EC and everyone who shares their post. I saved $1800 which is the deductible from my insurance for surgery.

I have had calcium renal calculi diagnosed in both kidneys. One kidney was almost completely occluded with stone, and the other very full as well. I had lithotripsy followed by numerous surgeries. After the first 3 surgeries, my surgeon gave up referring me to another dr saying he 'couldn't get the angle' I then finally got all the rest of them out at LI Jewish Hospital. All of this happened concurrent to my breast cancer surgery and treatment. I was experiencing a return of flank pain and I saw this purge online and tried it. Following a 2x2 dose of lemon juice and olive oil, I passed 18 stones painlessly. I was surprised to see all the stones in one go come out of me ranging in diameter similiar to that of grains of sand which earlier caused me great pain, sweats and racking nausea. I now use this whenever I get signs of pain.

I always know that I have kidney stones back to several years ago and just a day after the Valentines day, my left testicles start to get pain and it goes around my back and then to my left legs, I know this kind of pain is different from the "normal" pain and this is the "Stone Pain" instead of taking medication. I took the Lemon & Olive Oil remedy. 2 teaspoon of Lemon juice, and 3 teaspoon of Olive oil, down with a large glass of distilled water approx 1Litre. 45 Mins later I gotta pee, and guess what the stone with a size of the seeds of a papaya came out, and immediately the pains are gone (actually up to 20 mins after that 1L of water the pain is starting to go away). This is really working! Whoever shared this info Thank you very very much! Muakkkkk!

For the past several days I have had severe pain from a 4mm kidney stone in my left kidney. I had a CT Scan that confirmed the stone had moved into the tube between kidney and bladder. My urologist prescribed Vicodin and said it should pass in 2 to 3 weeks. There was absolutely no way that I was going to wait that long so I started researching on line and found this site. After reading the entries, I drove myself the grocery store and bought the Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a bottle of concentrated Lemon Juice and I drank both last night before I went to bed. Around 2:00 AM this morning I had some serious pain as the stone started moving down to my bladder, but the pain passed in about 30 minutes or so. This morning I got up and drank the olive oil, but instead of mixing the lemon juice into it, I made myself a big glass of lemonade with it and stirred in some honey. Big difference in taste and was so good I had two glasses. Around 1:00 PM this afternoon I saw sand like particles in my urine and at 5:00 PM this evening I passed the stone!

I am a believer. I have had stones twice before, once nearly 30 years ago and again just last month. Both were very painful and long duration experiences. I'm sure the lemon juice did help to break up the stone and the olive oil helped ease it out.

It now also makes sense as to why I had the stones in the first place. I'm sure they built up over time as I am prone to them, but for the past six weeks I have been actively losing weight and every morning I have been eating Grapefruit and an orange or two during the day as part of my diet plan. Citric acid, just like from the lemon has been slowly eating away at the stones and they got small enough to move out of my kidneys. At least that is my theory!

In any event, I will not soon forget this recipe for getting rid of kidney stones. Thank you! :)

I'm so glad I decided to give this remedy a try! I was up last night with kidney stone pain. I knew that's what it was as I've had them in the past, and one time I even had to have surgery with basket removal to remove a large one. I am currently BFing my daughter, so the thought of Rx pain meds or surgery was not appealing to me. I ran across this site and the olive oil lemon juice remedy and thought I would give it a try. So... At 4AM I drank 1T OO and 2T cold lemon juice and approx 32 oz water. It was awful tasting, but by 530AM I was asleep with no pain. I'm not sure what it's doing to the stone, but I'm just so happy the pain is gone :). I'll try it again with 2T OO/2T LJ tonight. Thanks again for posting this remedy. I'm so happy I decided to try it!

I got admitted into the ER this AM and the CT scan showed a 3 MM kidney stone. I was discharged at 12, read this article at 3 and immediately tried both the ACV and Olive Oil/Lemon juice. At 7:30 I passed the stone. Thank you so much for this information. What a relief! God bless you all.

I will be 65 in August and had my first kidney stone when I was 25. I have had regular surgery once (100 stones removed from left kidney) and lithotripsy six times (3 times on each side). I have a half dozen stones in each kidney right now with the largest being about the size of a nickle in my right kidney. It is not coming out, in fact, all of them are too large to pass. I have been drinking about a gallon of distilled water daily and my wife cooks with distilled water. Kidney stone formation is down by 60% since we began this about ten years ago. My stones are calcium oxalate formed around uric acid molecules. I was totally off all calcium for 20 years until my doctor said to forget that because there was a study out that said diet makes no difference in people like me who have a hereditary issue. My father had them terribly bad, too.

I think I will try the lemon juice and olive oil thing for a while to see if it makes a difference. I am really tired of passing stones. Once after double lithotriply (both kidneys at the same time) I passed 143 stones during one urination episode and over 800 before they were all out from that one lithotrisy procedure. I have passed thousands of them and the largest was larger than a wooden kitchen match head. It was the largest stone my urologist had ever seen passed. Hopefully the lemon juice will help dissolve them. I honestly think the distilled water helps both because of the high ph and because there are no minerals in it.

This morning I was taken to a hospital with an ambulace, I did not know why I was in soo much pain. It woke me up at 4 am, and the pain is horrible, I delivered a child naturally and I would rather go through childbirth again than bare this pain. I just drank the lemon juice and olive oil and I pray that it works. No pain pill helps at all so I really hope for this remedy to work. we will see.

The whole idea behind consuming the olive oil and lemon juice concoction is to remove the abrasive edges of the kidney stone and allow the stones to pass freely via the olive oil.

It would be to your advantage if you were to consume this 2-3 times per day, as I had, so that you can pass your stone quickly.

I passed a stone nearly 9 mm in size in only a fraction of a week.

I am going to try this too. Not sure what is going on with me but for about 5 months, I have been having discomfort and a fullness sensation on/off just below and under my left ribs that radiates to my back around where my kidneys are. Sometimes the discomfort is sharp. It seems most uncomfortable when I wake up and does get better after I wake up. I have not had a fever, no vomiting, no diarrhea and no blood in the urine. All labs including BUN/creatinine have come back negative except I did test positive for mono. I do not have an enlarged spleen though which is usually classic for mono.

I also tested positive from an ultrasound for what my doctor describes to me as what they thought was a small stone on each kidney. She told me to wait 6-8 weeks and see if I feel better. I am halfway done with the wait and do not feel any better at all. My stomach has been upset on/off too and I feel pressure on my bladder on occasion with the urgency to urinate a significant amount in the morning when I wake up.

Does anyone else with kidney stones have any of these symptoms? I am trying the lemon juice tonight. However will pick up some olive oil tomorrow. (oh, and I have not been constipated at all but also did give myself a bowel regimen just in case and it did not take away my symptoms). Will let you know how the lemon juice works.

Tried the lemon juice and olive oil concoction times 2 doses over a six hour period, once in afternoon and once before bed. It worked!

Woke up feeling 100% better and NO PAIN.

I am very grateful to everyone for this remedy. I suffered through the pain for 4 days and it was getting worse by the day and I was getting desperate. I also couldn't afford to go to a doctor.

Just to update on my case. CT scan came back normal. No stone was seen.

Doc said not to worry, everything's fine and suggests that it probably is my muscle/nerves.

Bah. I am taking it 50%, because I still have a dull bilateral flank pain.

So, I just need to relax and monitor how things are in the future.

This sucks really.

To Vicki from Thousand Oaks, Ca, Usa: To answer your question on lemon juice, you MUST use real juice direct rom a real lemon. Believe me, I have tried both while following the daily regime of lemon juice with water daily to prevent further stones. I used the juice from 1 lemon each morning for years without any issues. However one time when my regular store was out of lemons I tried the bottled variety I had a return of kidney stones within a few weeks.

By the way, blood and protein in your urine is a lot more serious than just kidney stones. I never experienced either. I suggest you look at ways of taking better care of those kidneys before more serious complications arise.

I would consider this very seriously.

I am at the beginning of the kidney stone saga. I don't have pain, but have blood and protein in my urine which I hoped would go away for months. An ultrasound confirmed a kidney stone and I had a CT today to further identify it and its location. I am going to try the 2 oz lemon jiuce/2 oz olive oil and see if it works. I wonder if the lemon jiuce has to be the concentrated kind you get in the little plastic lemons, from a lemon, or lemonade. Can someone clue me in?

Thanks!

Vicki

Thank you very kindly everyone for this great posting. I went to the Doctor during the New Year and it was reported nothing could be traced on my urine. However, I was experiencing extremely burning sensation during urinating time. The Doctor offered me to go for scanning instead just to make sure everything was alright with me. At the same time, the Doctor prescribed me some antibiotics which according to the Chemist it was just a general antibiotic type. After taking this antibiotic for 5 days, I was still feeling really unwell and I am sure if you had the same experience before you would understand how exactly I felt.

This afternoon, the pain was just unbearable and I was searching all over the Internet until I came across your home remedy. I rushed to the shops and got myself a bottle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 2 fresh lemons. It worked perfectly and the pain seems to disappear into thin air although with the side effect like feeling nausea.

To everyone here, a very BIG thank you from me to all you for posting your kind suggesstions and comments. Thanking you very kindly. Kind regards, Bec.

Alina from Dacula, Hi, I haven't found out anything about my mild hydronephrosis to my kidney yet till today. Tomorrow will be going for a CT-scan (first CT-scan). Ever since I was diagnosed with hydronephrosis, doc gave me Ural (urine alkalinizer) 1 sachet 3 times a day after meal because he fears for Uric Acid stones that are invisible in both Ultrasound and KUB X-Rays. I would suggest you take your son to do a normal CT-scan in case of stones. Not sure how expensive it is over there, but here it is about usd200 for a normal ctscan of the abdomen. For my case it is weird because I feel no pain at all if I am sitting down or in vertical position. Just when I lie down to sleep, for a long time (>1 hour), then the pain starts, and it is more of a dull pain, with occassional needle pricking pain at the flank area randomly. To be honest I am scared of what the outcome of tomorrow's ct scan.... Really stressed now.. And boy do I regret for not drinking more plain water everyday instead of just coffee and sugary water and sodas.... :(

This question is for Emir from Malaysia; Emir, what did you find out about your mild hydronephrosis; my 15 yrs. old son was diagnosed with it last summer but the doctors didn't do anything for him; just sent him home from the hospital with tylenol for pain; he's not in pain now, but I wonder about the implications of this if left untreated???

I am so grateful for this advise. I took a shot of the mixture yesterday and already this morning peices of the stone are coming out. I'm not in near as much pain as I was before. I also read the article about the "Jump and Bump". Worth trying too. It's not this OR that, it's this AND that! To our health!
