Bird Mite Remedies

Bird Mite alert... for all those out there that have home infestation of Bird Mites, pls remember it is very important not to steam clean your carpet! Do Not introduce moisture into your home environment, particularly moisture on your carpet... these tenacious nasty critters love moisture!

Keep in mind those whom use Diatomaceous Earth on or around your pet, to make sure to use Food Grade DE. Food grade DE can be powdered on your pets fur. Also, FG DE can be used internally to rid parasites. A shampoo I heard is helpful for pets is http://www.revivalanimal.com/Goodwinol-Shampoo.html. Heard "Revolution" topical flea treatment is helpful. For ear mites I recommend this product... http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/products/Newton-Homeopathics-Ear-Care/161009.aspx.

This is my first experience with Bird Mites, or any mite infestation, and I pray the last! I have used DE all over my carpet, crevices, along base of base board, as soon as I knew about the bird mites, I can't swear by it's effectiveness, but do feel it has helped, messy as hell, but I do feel it has helped nip it in the bud a bit. I put it outside by my front door, as well as, Borax... the infected bird nest was above my front door, in open eave - ugh! Mites migrated into my bedroom, once nest was abandoned through window.

PCO/Pest Control has to come clean out attic, take away abandoned nest, and treat home with miticide fumigant.

Be careful when vaccuming up DE it can harm some vacs, but if you have a filter, that's good, just be sure to clean it out frequently! Borax is preferable, it won't harm vac. Before I vaccum every day, I'm sure to administer some Borax, so it kills any mites inside bag. But empty bag w/ each vac, and put in sealed plastic bag, and put outside trash.

ACV is good on body, also, essential oils, peppermint, Cedarwood oil, eucalyptus oil are my favorite. I put many drops in spray bottle, and spray my bed sheets, that is after I launder just before I go to bed. Spray around base of bed. If I feel anything crawly, I'll but oil non dilute on my hands and rub on my body, also on my cats, rub around neck, ears, top of head along back, belly/ Peppermint, and/or Cedarwood oil.

Also, I have found "Orange Guard" natural bug spray helpful. I will spray all around my room, along base of bed, behind bed behind desk. But remember nothing replaces vaccuming, laundering w/ HOT water, HOT dryer. Put things out in sun if can during the day. Launder, and put away excess pillows, and linens, after laundering to simplify, and eliminate hiding areas for these dasty critters! Cover your box spring mattress with plastic zip bag if you have one after treating. Make sure to put Borax along piping of your mattress. I spray under my mattress with essential oils every day, and night. Spray your walls with Essential oils.

One thing I did, that seemed helpful, is I smudged with a Cedar smudge stick. My infestation in primarily in my bedroom, so I smudged very heavily late in the day with my window closed until it filled my room with heavy smoke. Then I opened window, til dissipated to the point it didn't irritate my eyes, and in hopes those buggers would leave the room. Then I closed the window again. I usually keep the window closed all the time so they don't come back in. They are active at night, and don't like the UV's or sun. Once the offending/infested nest is removed, and attic is treated, and house is fumigated, I will continue with this routine for several weeks. Will have Pest Control come out and do second treatment a couple weeks after first treatment.

What ever you do, make sure no birds nests are on, in, or overhanging/close to your home. Bird mites do love chickens too, so be mindful of this.

One PCO was telling me he theorized this is becoming a problem, as a result of climate change, I.e. migration changes, chem trails, GMO chicken, and bird feed, lowering birds immune systems, and of course over use of pesticides - OY! Welcome to life out of balance, [

Continuing the report on strategies for dealing with bird (or rat) mite infestation: because of my work with soil minerals in agriculture and long-time interest in optimal nutrition I am fortunate to have on hand many of the "tools" that are being used in this battle, such as borax, DMSO, EDTA, MSM, and sulfur. If I didn't already have them they would be difficult to obtain here unless I imported them at high expense and with a wait of six to eight weeks. I am sitting here typing and spraying tobacco tea occasionally after wiping myself all over with a borax solution mixed with a small amount of DMSO and sodium EDTA. Yesterday I was free of bites or itches when I went to the store and remained unmolested when I came home, until I decided to drag the infested mattress and box spring from the bedroom to the upstairs patio where I will burn it and my old pillows today. As soon as I grabbed hold of the mattress I could feel the little invisible buggers attacking me, but I got it done, both pieces, and then immediately jumped into the shower and scrubbed down with soap. After that I put on my swimming trunks, went to the beach and scrubbed myself down in the ocean. If I didn't have the beach right here I would have soaked in a tub of salt and borax, if I had a bath tub, which I don't.

Alkalizing the Body

Cesium (or caesium) is the most alkaline of all elements. On the periodic table it is in group I, the first column, below sodium and potassium. Cesium chloride is used as a cancer remedy because it rapidly alkalinizes the body. Most people have only heard of cesium as radioactive cesium such as is spewing out from the Fukushima Daiichi nuke plant, or from Chernobyl, but cesium is a natural if rare element. The natural form is not radioactive at all. As a matter of fact prior to the start of atomic explosions in the mid-1940s there was no radioactive cesium on planet Earth. Archaeological digs and soil layers in excavations can be accurately dated as pre- and post- 1940s by determining whether or not they contain radioactive cesium. It is likely an essential nutrient in small quantities; soil fungi rapidly absorb and retain it in the upper soil horizon, which is the major reason the radioactive contamination of the topsoil from the Chernobyl disaster has not appreciably decreased since the accident occurred in the late 1980s. There is no danger of radiation poisoning from taking natural cesium; quite the opposite; having reserves of natural cesium in the body will protect against the uptake of radioactive cesium from the environment. Cesium chloride can be purchased on Ebay; it is expensive but not much is needed, perhaps one gram per day. The taste is very salty, more salty than regular sodium chloride salt.

Another possibility is the element strontium which is in the second column on the periodic table, below calcium and magnesium. I haven't done the research to know just how alkalizing it is, but it's something I had on hand as an insurance against the body absorbing radioactive strontium from nuclear disasters. I bought it from a nutritional supplier as strontium citrate.

Killing bird and rodent mites

As I noted, until two weeks ago I had no idea of the worldwide plague of mite infestations. It appears this is something new that has occurred in the last ten years, mites readily crossing species barriers along with much more aggressive and treatment resistant strains of mites. It is also apparent that the medical professions and the governments of the world are either in denial or deliberately covering up this ongoing plague and nightmare. We can expect no help from them, we are on our own in figuring out the remedies. Much progress has been made in eliminating them from the body; the more difficult task is eliminating them from our living environment.

At this point it looks to me like the best remedy for indoor infestation may be denatured alcohol. I recently ordered a gallon of miticide called sterifab that got high reviews on another site; the reviewer said it really worked well, and noted that it seemed to be mostly alcohol. On this EC thread someone else wrote that denatured alcohol (methylated spirits) killed the mites. Denatured alcohol is ethyl (drinking) alcohol to which methyl or wood alcohol has been added which makes it poisonous to drink. That sounds like a good combination to me, as we have already learned that 91% ethyl alcohol is effective against these parasites. Perhaps it would be even better to just use straight methyl alcohol, spray it heavily in a closed off room, close the door and let them die. As methyl (wood) alcohol is very poisonous to humans one would need a good respirator at least, perhaps even an air supply, but regardless something needs to be found that works every time and to which the parasites cannot become immune.

I'm really hoping that spraying and fogging with pure or denatured alcohol is an answer.

A few new strategies Two weeks ago my bedroom was infested with "invisible bug" bird mites via an abandoned bird's nest that had been built in a potted cactus below my clothesline. I thought the bird's nest was cute and left it alone. Little did I know; actually, nothing did I know. My wake-up call came after I had been up reading on the internet most of the night. It was almost dawn and I lied down on my bed to try to get a few hours sleep. My torso was covered with a sheet, my legs sticking out. As I started to fall asleep, suddenly my legs were peppered with sharp stings, like sand grains blown by a hard wind or a shotgun shooting tiny shot. I looked and felt my legs but there was nothing to see or be felt. This continued intermittently and sleep was impossible, and remained impossible except for short naps in the daytime until three days ago. Talking to a friend in the US a little later in the morning I asked what sort of bugs were so tiny they were invisible; my friend suggested mites, and thus began my internet education on skin mites which led me to this thread on EarthClinic.a few days ago. Some things mentioned in posts here and on other threads inspired the two new ideas that have allowed me to sleep through the night the last three nights. Salty Sheets I saw mention of a homeopathic remedy called Natrum Muriaticum made from sea salt, and a couple of mentions of swimming in the ocean being helpful to decrease mite activity.

As I live close to the beach on an island in the southern Caribbean, I headed right down there and splashed around in the waves, while scrubbing my body with my hands. Sitting on a driftwood log to dry in the sun, I was inspired to rinse some clothes and sheets in the seawater, so I went back to my place and grabbed a bag of shirts, shorts, towels, and sheets, took them back to the beach, soaked them in seawater, wrung them out, and took them home to hang up on the clothesline. (I don't have a dryer). After they dried in the sun, I rewashed the towels but left the dried saltwater on the sheets, shorts, and shirts. I put the sheets on the inflatable mattress I am now sleeping on in the living room, steam ironed the shorts and shirts and started wearing them like that. The mite attacks decreased noticeably, and that night, sleeping on my salty sheets, I had the first decent night's sleep in two weeks. I just woke up from the third nights restful sleep, without a single bite, sleeping with the same sheets that haven't been laundered. So, we know that these critters don't like salt or borax, but though we have been washing our clothes and linens with borax, we have been rinsing it out. I'm suggesting that if the borax (and/or salt) are left in the fabric, that will prevent the mites from making a home or laying eggs in the fabric. With a top-loading washer, borax and salt be added to the final rinse so they saturate the fabric, then the fabrics can be put in the dryer and worn or used on the bed. With a front-loader that probably won't work, so the fabrics would have to be dipped in a bucket of borax and salty water, wrung out and then dried, but that would be well worth the effort if one can put on their clothes and slide between the bedsheets without getting attacked, because their clothes and linens no longer provided a safe haven for the bugs. Tobacco juice Tobacco is a powerful pesticide. I was reminded of this by a mention here and on another site that if tobacco leaves are put into a bird cage the mites will leave the birds alone. Following up on that, I made some strong tobacco tea, strained it into a spray bottle, and started spraying it on any spot that I felt a bite, or itching, or crawling. It worked marvelously, stopped the critters or the itching immediately. That is the second part of my salty sheets strategy, to spend the last hour or so before I go to bed spraying every itch with tobacco tea and rubbing it in. I made the tea by putting a good handful of coarsely chopped tobacco leaves into a pint mayonnaise jar and filling it with boiling water, then shaking it regularly while it cooled down a bit. Any form of tobacco would work; a handful of pipe or cigarette tobacco, or the tobacco from a pack of cigs taken out of the tubes and put in a jar. This is truly the best thing I have tried for stopping the biting and itching. This post is already pretty long. I will continue it with my ideas for alkalizing the body and actually killing bird mites in a later post.

Alva, are you taking the apple cider vinegar and garlic at least twice daily? (I take the grapefruit seed extract to help get rid of the garlic smell.) You can shampoo your hair with pine tar soap and leave it on for 15-30 minutes before rinsing. Massage in the borax with peroxide. Finally, rinse hair with apple cider vinegar with dissolved salt. Rinse with water.

Alternative treatment: One thing that I found that made a huge difference with mites crawling on my scalp is Pine Tar hair conditioner. Oil your scalp with it and around your ears and eyebrows. (You can buy it at Sally's in the US or order it online from Amazon.) It smells like pine tar so you might just want to use it when you are at home and shampoo it out before you leave home to go to work. (I leave it on while I am shopping and it does not appear to offend people, but in close quarters, it will offend others.)

A better smelling alternative: Mix equal parts dry mustard with water and leave it for 10 minutes. Mix one part mustard mix with 1 1/2 parts oil or lotion. Apply on your scalp areas only, not your hair. Actually, this works all over your body.

Antonio this is such a brilliant idea. It's almost 3 months that I am being consumed by them. I am to the point of losing my mind here. All I have done is comb my head every 3-4 hours everyday that I see the same structures all the time. My head hurts its like digging into my skull. Worst is the thought that I have these worms in my head makes anxiety goes to the roof.I have phobia of worms. Thanks for Xanax I can control it. Like everyone me too have done this almost second career of researching & experimenting to see what would work for me.No luck. I think my condition is in severe stage.I am a researcher by profession so I combed the internet & I am an avid reader here .I even tried peanut butter. Sort of cemented my head which is the point is to suffocate , immobilized & starve & dehydrate them & prevent them from mating. But they managed to move by coz I can feel them. This is all made sense that saliva is the answer to this. Saliva have about 300+ types of enzymes secreted by our own immune system. Maybe more. Saliva is the most potent immunoglobulin that our body produces to act as the first line of defense mechanism Mother Nature have protected us.

Now to add to your idea I wonder if glycerin would kill them too.The most challenging is how to prevent them from mating. The eggs are incredibly strong to dissolve. I was combing using a flea comb in front of the stove as I wanted to see if there is an odor that will elicited while they are burnt. I have a stove that is able to do this & it is on the highest setting but the eggs would not burn or pop.

To add to this idea I tend to believe that glycerin might be an adjunct to saliva to quell the enzymes that these mites feeds on.
I am not fully convinced that they are just parasitic in nature but of course nothing is exact science that is not subject to change.

I experienced the same problem with drs. Nothing helped with the crawling sensation until I discovered tea tree oil. When you apply it you can see the nights appear. I believe they are backing out of the pours like a tick does when you apply alcohol. Within a couple weeks the sensation ceased on my face. Dawn dish soap and bleach baths help too.

Hi Trudy,

Thanks for your correspondence.

If you have a steamer ...yes, ., .the most effective is high heat. Bleach can be considered as an alternative to heat if one does not have a steamer. I have all hard surface flooring no carpet. I am still using bleach when floor mopping. If you have a steamer you can use it to clean your soft surface furniture as well.

To Smilepayal19. I'm a grandma and I'm very proud of you. I've been dealing with these things for about a month now and its driving me crazy. your advice sounds like the most logical. My biggest problem is I only have a shower, not a tub. Also, don't take this the wrong way, but I'm glad you're the only one with them. Hopefully, that means they are not scabies, but the ones that start with d, which I think mine are, as well. Thanks.

I've found instant relief and kill these mites once and for all. This is my regemin 1st thing in the morning I run a bath with 1/2 cup borax hottest you can stand it make lots of bubbles and stand in the tub rub the bubbles in to you skin ears nostrils hair everywhere. Wait about 3 minutes then submerge yourself under the water slowing hold your nose and just let your lips out to breath, stay under for about 10 minutes, then go under and shake your head face down, vigorously hold your nose of course you will see these black mites flothing.Get soap with antibaterial in it lather your whole body rinse standing in the tub with fresh hot water, I then get dandruff shampoo and lather my hair vigorously and apply the lather all over my body. I sermerge again shake hair under water side to side face down. I then apply conditioner with salt I add 2 tablespoons to mine, I leave it on for a good 10 mins. I then stand in the tub and use a cup to rinse everything off, as the tub is draining. I pat dry myself and apply coconut oil everywhere. I make a paste of triple antiboctic ointment and foot powder for my face, the cheap kind at dollar stores it's got to have salicylic acid, in it I pay 2 dollars for mine. It's need to look like lard thick I usually put the triple ointment 1st then the powder heavy thick enough pat it in so it don't fall off and drys leave on as long as you can, I rinse off after a hour are so, and again at night I leave on all night, I put vaseline only in my ears and nostrils at night and neck and body but face triple powder for short.. I also take Muti vitamin and extra vitamin c and D also, Candida support and probiotic. After 3 days of doing this the ringing in my ears stopped the sores healed and the mites are almost gone there is one place over my eye brow that about a size of a pea that was as big as a quarter it's working and I'm going to be doing this for another day are so, Itried everything under the sun and for 3 months my husband has seen a phyco spending money on everything, then one day I tried this instant relief and death to the enemy that almost ruin my life. I also stayed away for sweets and breads but with Candida support I can eat bread but not swhat's. I know what everyone here is battling and feeling, Ive also cried and asked why, but remember don't ever give up. I almost did, 3 months of this I was going insane until I did this concoction and whalaa I feel normal again and my skin is actually better Ohh almost forgot each time you do this and rinse with warm water and apply coconut oil if you don't have coconut oil use vasaline are just the triple antiboctic ointment. Triple Powder Power to the People..I hope this helps all that gives it a try...Please if I can help, I'm here.Gods Speed..

This website has been very helpful to me and I think it is important to keep a positive attitude as you work through the remedies that work for you. Mariam, I agree with the way the medical community treats you. A doctor in a well-known Dallas dermatology office charged my insurance company $6000 for three treatments of permethrin cream which did not solve the problem. What works for me are the following: borax & peroxide mix, apple cider vinegar 2x daily, 1 heaping t of raw minced 2x daily mixed in green salads, and Kelp capsules 1x a day (for the iodine). I do not eat anything sweet because that makes it worse. From what I have read, I should continue taking the above remedies for 2 - 3 months although I feel fine now except that I will feel a crawl on my scalp occasionally but not on the rest of my body. I spray chairs, beds, cars, and rooms with Windex, 91% alcohol, or Lysol and I mop with Dawn and Borax. One good side effect of the ACV and garlic is that the mosquitos do not try to bite me anymore. I rinse my mouth and throat with milk after eating the garlic. Also, wash all clothes and linen daily while adding borax to the wash.

To rid them from my car, I try to vacuum it thoroughly once a week. I spray with either Windex, 91% alcohol, or Lysol every time I get out of my car when I return home and I try to spray it about 15 minutes before I get in it. I spray under the seat, on the floors, under and on top of the dash, doors steering wheels, ceilings. Borax will probably work, but it clogs my sprayers so that they become unusable. Using a towel soaked in Borax should work. Be sure to try to spray in all crevices of the car like where the back of the seat meets the seat bottom. Your car can reinfect you if you do not treat it daily.

Salt

Hi, sea salt or regular ionized salt gets mites off body and kills them. Plus it makes your skin soft. Can use in hair also to kill mites. It will dry your hair out a little though so use a good conditioner afterwards. Plus use a lice comb with the conditioner in your hair before rinsing out you can add tea tree oil in conditioner. Bomb your house and car with hot shot bedbug and flea fogger. It works everytime. My cat I bathed with coconut and strawberry shampoo with a little tea tree oil. Also rubbing alcohol sprayed on bedding, mattress, pillows and carpet helped and kills. You can also use rubbing alcohol to kill lice. Also salt kills lice. Salt kills fleas in carpet. After spending thousands of dollars on everything else these are the only things that worked. Oh yeah. Wash all your clothes bedding and bomb at same time. Raid fogger didn't work. Only hotshot.

Also grapefruit seed oil added to water in a sprayer kills lice and mites around house. It's expensive but works. Plus it's all natural. Won't harm animals either. Add it to your shampoo and animal's shampoo. Can add to your drink for an internal cleanse of mites to as well . Colloidal silver is a great cleanse internally for mites. Just a few drops of either of these in a drink works. Also if you have a yard spray with mixture of grapefruit seed oil and water. It doesn't harm plants or animals. Salt mixture will also kill fleas out of dirt and rocks. God bless and good luck. You will be so happy after you try this. I promise. It is the cure.

I have had an infestation of mites in my home for 6 months and was nearly at my wits end.

I tried at first to attack them with pyrethrum and then permethrin. I used these in conjunction with pre-core( a supposed life cycle interrupter). I used foggers and on and on it was all very costly and in the long run mostly not effective.

The natural things I've discovered lately seem to work much better.

Getting them off of your skin:

They don't like Salt, Borax, Peroxide, Heat - these are your weapons

I was showering in high heat and using very sudsy soaps with a loofah which helps. The most effective method I've found is making a mixture of epsom salt with lavender and peroxicare toothpaste and a little hot water (the mixture should be a thin paste consistency). Apply to the affected area after showering. Leave to dry for 15 minutes and then use a hair dryer on high heat as hot as you can stand it and you will watch the symptoms vanish before your very eyes within minutes. The lesions will turn from bright red to white and then vanish.

To keep them off is a challenge because they like to reinfest the same areas so they can reuse the feeding tubes which they insert into your skin. If you have a saltwater body of water near you I've found repeated soaking in salt sea water kills them.

Clothing:

Clothing is a real problem this is probably the greatest threat for re-exposure. I found that High heat is the best solution. I wash clothing in borax and detergent in hot water. I dry on high heat twice. I use a steam iron and steam press ALL my clothing. They seem to lay eggs in cloth they also seem to like cotton knits. With a life cycle of 4 to 8 days it's tough to keep all your clothing clean. You have to be relentless.

Internally:

Build your immune system with apple cider vinegar and vitamin C, B 12, magnesium, zinc, and Garlic seems to be effective.

Clean the house daily with Borax and bleach mop all flooring with HOT water. They like to lay in the corners where the walls meet. Try to remove all or as much carpeting from the house as you can. They can hide in carpeting hard surfaces like ti9le are much easier to clean and keep clean. Carpets and cloth sofas can be cleaned with HOT steam.

To kill mites with heat must be at least 165f or preferably up to 212F.

Last night I slathered myself with some old Olive Oil that I had infused with Garlic. Overnight the difference in the wounds left by these critters were significantly better. I believe that the Olive Oil may serve to smother them, as it has a tendency to clog pores. But the garlic serves to kill and heal. I let it sit for 5 minutes and then I washed it off with Lavender Castile Soap.

Also have been showering once a day. Once with a sulfur soap bar. Rinsing with a mixture of 50/50 vinegar and water. Soaking once a day in a Borax and Epsom salt tub of water.

After washing I've been covering myself with a lavender lotion that I added more Lavender to. Yesterday I added Lavender to my Neem Hair Conditioner. Whenever I get a biting sensation, I dab on some Oregano Oil. It is a feel good burn.

I will also add garlic to infuse the Raw Coconut Oil that I added Tea Tree Oil, Lavender and Oregano Oil to already. As I am never ceased to be amazed by Garlic. Garlic is again my favorite food of all time.

I still have some progress to make, since I haven't quit the coffee habit. However, I have been eating two cloves of raw garlic everyday. Along with my Raw Apple Cider Vinegar routine of 3 tablespoons with 8 ounces of water. Also started doing 5 drops of Oregano Oil regularly, as I was doing this infrequently. I've also started drinking Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide, 1 teaspoon on 8 ounces water once a day.

I was already doing Turmeric every day and have continued.

I washed all of my clothing in Kleen-Free enzyme concentrate. I will continue by adding either vinegar or Borax to my laundry.

No alcohol, no fast food or sugar.

Garlic Rules!!! I had already planned on growing it on my property in Colorado one day when I get the house built. However, it will be accompanied by even more herbs!!!

I am currently seeing a cure from ingesting fresh garlic, rubbing fresh garlic on itchy areas, drinking ACV, alternatively with a few drops of food grade Hydrogen peroxide. I have read many posts on this...try diatomaceous earth for the dogs and floors, also check out Kleen Wash or dawn detergent. I have only used the diatomaceous earth on myself, it gave some immediate relief when I drank it with wormwood tea. Best wishes, peace and healing, Mariam

Mites in Car Remedies

To David in Dover, NH, go to tractor supply and get some ivermectin pour-on for cattle. My friend who owns an auto body shop sprayed the interior of my car with his paint sprayer, the one that's run with an air compresser. I closed it up overnight to let it penatrate real good, then aired out the smell. We do this every 2 weeks to make sure new ones dont hatch & start the sh**t all over again.

M: Glad to hear of your success against "the critters" as O.R.H. puts it.

As for conventional medicine, it's like any other business or financial social structure, profit comes first, second, and third, and the public treatment protocols accordingly. So, parasite diagnosis or treatment, either internal or external, are classified as "profit threatening". It's much more profitable to treat the chronic effects and disease states that parasites produce, in other words do not treat the disease, treat the symptoms. So, clinically, parasite infestation isn't a disease in their book. The disease states produced by parasites is extensive; like Chronic Fatigue, Anxiety, Depression, Sleep Disorder, Mood Swings or Bipolor Disorder, Mental Decline or Alziemers, Fibromyalgia, etc.

From this understanding, it is a mistake to take their attitude as personal, although from the patient end, as you have confessed, it is very personal and affects the entire organization of one's life.

Now back to the Garlic, it would prove even more effective if you consume it orally as well as apply topically. Garlic is similar to DMSO the organic solvent, it finds it's way over the entire body as is evidenced by a strong G body odor when taken in excess. So, during your topical application also do large oral dosing for maximum benefit.

One more thing about Garlic: I used fresh garlic, the processed no-smell garlic liquid did not kill mites. Fresh garlic does. After cutting on face of garlic, I used the knife to deliver small cuts, multidirectionally on "face" to achieve a brush-like effect, and release more oil to the surface face. After rubbing skin, this face gets worn. Slice that worn face off (thinly), then small chop, chop, chop to create a new "brush" then repeat until galic bud is too small to hold. Tedious? Yes. Effective? Yes! Worth your time? YES!!!

Multiple Remedies
Posted by Mariam (Brooklyn) on 03/17/2015

Good morning again, I'm posting what I hope is my final chapter on this crazy mites episode of my life. I am sitting here in absolute bliss. My final "cure" for mite madness is simply garlic. Yep. Mother Nature is best. Thank you, mama! I used the garlic by repeatedly cutting a thin "skin" to expose a moist surface area on the garlic "face" and rubbing the liquid on my scalp, skin, soles, palms anywhere itching, wriggling, running, moving and voila! All movements STOP immediately! The skin feels soothed, non-inflamed, or no longer "hot".

For "interior" areas-the nose, genitals, etc. I cut thin shears of garlic, gently leave in place for several minutes, also squeeze juice onto q-tip and apply. You will have to "revisit" the same areas with the garlic but I use a "scrubbing" action with the garlic in my skin where I'm feeling anything. But skin is a large surface. This definitely has fixed my problem and fast! Praise be to the ancestors!

Caveats: Garlic is very strong, be gentle around eyes. Also, stay indoors when using unless you really don't care to offend. I went out and didn't care because at this point I'm saving my life... I have tried many of the shared options with limited success. Since my earlier post, I added some other regimens besides the combo essential oils, including drinking ACV 2x daily, topically applying Hydrogen peroxide 3% food grade to "runners and biters" and wriggling under skin, and aloe vera (around eyes; gentle, kept them out of eyes due to its sticky ability). These were great and kept me functioning. However garlic has been the cure for me and works on all and immediately.

NOTE: I am appalled, as many others, that there is no definitive research available to the general public on this problem. I'm dismayed by the dismissive, cavalier way I was treated by the medical community. This has been an emotional rollercoaster with severe impacts to my psyche, family, relationship, business. It can be very debilitating and have you contemplating suicide! This has been the only public forum that I have found (I'm forever grateful EC) that is giving the sufferers a chance to be heard, to share potential cures. It's disgusting that something as communicable as mite infestation in HUMANS, other than scabies, is not addressed by Public Health practitioners, and medical doctors are so unaware, and yet arrogant and non-plussed. There is a one size fits all attitude that keeps insisting that you must be having a psychotic break, yet there is no interest

In looking to assist, even by referral. There is very little will to do more than collect, catalog the patient/sufferer details by M.D.S. The epidemiologists, parasitologists are considered researchers and appear to be isolated from the medical practitioner system. BIG MISTAKE! One day, someone with more money, pedigree, time, than me will hold this system accountable! Thanks to all posters; keep sharing the tries, and the cures... I am sharing because there are answers for all questions including mite infestation. One's attitude and positive energy must be part of your healing. After being truly saddened, horrified at folks who have been suffering for YEARS! With what seems to be different types of mites (which doesn't matter when you're suffering) I said to myself NO WAY will I live like this! DO NOT GIVE UP!

Treat the Septic System

i"ll try to make this as short as possible. Hope it's helpful to someone. If you have a septic tank on your home and you're washing your clothes w/mites you are washing the eggs right into your plumbing system. They hatch in the septic system and crawl right back up the drain and into your floor boards. The boxed stuff at the grocery store won "t kill " em either! That's what happened to me. You have to treat your septic system! Not sure with what; pool chlorine? Also keep bleach tablets in toilet water, I wrap these things in tissue paper and drown em in it, usually combined w/"urine therapy". When I wash my hands and brush my nails, I also make sure anything that came off of them goes completely through the trap under the sink and down the drain, you don"t want them crawling up the sink drain. I spray w/bleach cleaner immediately also. Didn't see this anywhere on your site. The septic tank is usually installed within 20 ft. of the main bathroom on most houses. This may be the reason some people aren't getting anywhere in the battle. Hope this helps somebody.

Ted's soap is a mixture of tetrasodium edta and ammonium chloride. I bought both online. He said to make a ten percent solution for the environment. he gave directions if you don't measure your products to use two tablespoons of each to a pint, a pint is two cups, so one tablespoon per cup. I hope this helps.

Holy cow.

It's been a week of torture, but I've had to research and adapt. The most helpful thing thus far is -- well, I asked myself, who has the greatest incentive to defeat these suckers in a cost effective manner? You guessed it -- poultry farmers.

They have the answer. I share what I learned from them, as well as others. I need to experience this torture as a blessing from my Higher Power. Here we go.

Disclaimer -- I'm still waiting for Pest Control to remove the birds/bird's nest in my bathroom vent that is the source of this madness. After that operation, I have another Pest Control outfit that will nuke my unit two/three times over the course of 18 days.

Here we go, for real.

Disclaimer #2 -- I can feel these things in my ear. as if they are burrowed outside it. I will attack them internally, as well as externally. Oh yeah.

NOW, here we go, for real.

Last night, I made two potions.

1. Two cups water, 1 cup cooking oil, 1 table spoon of dish washing liquid -- in a 20 oz bottle at least -- shake it up. BAM -- instant miticide. Kills them INSTANTLY. DON'T spray walls, it'll stain. I use it in the bathroom, kitchen, wood floors.

2. 1 oz. garlic juice, 10 ounces of water, 1 tea spoon of peppermint oil. Bam -- instant mite repellent. Spray this all over your bed sheets and pillows. Don't spray your lap top! It killed mine. I needed to throw it out anyway. Yet, another sign from my higher power.

Also, I drank a glass of cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and Apple Cider Vinegar.

Smear your head, neck, and parts of your face with Vick's Vapo Rub and a few drops of eucalyptus oil -- and wear a shower cap while you sleep. Do NOT get this in your eyes. It stings like holy h%ll.

Sprinkle tobacco leaves in your shoes. They HATE tobacco leaves. Sprinkle menthol crystals around you in bed and on top of the sheets.

Oh, I also sleep in a polyester body suit. Spray the garlic potion all over it. My suit is Batman. Yes, it has a cape.

Shower with Dawn, or tea tree oil soap. Air dry or use paper towels. Wear flip flops. Douse them with menthol powder when you get out, as well as your private parts and under your arm pits.

Wash everything in Borax and detergent. Store everything in large ziplock bags, then put them in thick hefty bags.

After ALL of this -- I had the best night's sleep in a while. Woke up only ONCE to reapply the Vick's and Eucalyptus oil. Throw out everything you do not NEED. The worst is not being able to have normal interactions with loved ones. This really SUCKS. I'm not out of the woods yet, but I'm hopeful.

Oh, and -- pray -- a lot. If this doesn't force you to change your life -- nothing will.

God bless us all, John

I am going to get Benedryl gel right now. I will report back. I have morgelllons, and I have tried everything on my hair to get them out. I keep it in 2 shower caps, a wig cap, and a bandana on top. Nothing works 100%. I have tried borax & hydrogen peroxide (worked well on body), Dawn, horse paste, TTO & coconut oil, clove oil & castor oil, shampoos with tetra EDTA, hair dye, kleen free, kleen green, diluted bleach, RID, Nix, lindane 1%, lice freee, denorex extra strength, mayonnaise with additional olive oil left on 24 hr, glass cleaner, a dog shampoo with ketoconazole, sulfur 8 that I left 24 hours, Herbal Hair Oil left on 24 hr, sulphur soap 10%, all to no avail.

The hair loss is devastating. I am an alternative Health practitioner so I feel, in addition to hopelessness and isolation, awful about my abilities since I cannot even cure my hair, let alone cure myself. I read Ted's post on tetra EDTA and ammonium chloride yesterday, and both are in the mail. However, they are not fulfilled by the big guys online empire, they are fulfilled by the company so I have at least a week wait ahead of me. I am so thankful for this website, all the poster's stories and suggestions, and especially all of Ted's posts and responses. His observation of the hidden Morgellons nests in the ceiling was brilliance. I am researching the green led light as well. Much blessings and love, Starseed

HI U ERIK, , , , , , you right boy, it not about health, nor cleanliness . You don't have mites, they have you. I went down this trail a couple of years ago and I can tell you now that you will whip them by knowledge and perseverance. I did the MD thing with no help. Heat will kill them in your bedding, clothes , etc and I think that is what finally got them in my body. I was fortunate enough to have a combo sauna and old heat with a FIR detox to boot. Mites die at 120+ degrees , that is why you max your water heater and dryer. Borax kills them so add that to your wash. I then did a Sauna every night at between 160 and 180 to get those in my body. And followed that with a long soak in stuff. Don't forget the eggs. They will be mites in two weeks so there is no short cut. You have to keep on keeping on.

There are many species of mite parasites, but my dermatologist was too stupid to send my sample off. He called it a rash and discarded my sample. Look into EC 's archives on this subject, read and develop you a plan.

Wish you the best. ======ORH=======

It sounds like my family has the same thing you and Lynn have, we've been fighting this mite infestation for 2.5 months and we're nearing our wit's end. We did get rid of them on our bodies for a short while when visiting California at Christmas, we just went through a heavy decontamination protocol and were free of itching within a couple days. We used over-the-counter bug bombs in the apartment before we left, and it sat for two weeks so we thought we'd be coming home to a deadzone. Not so, as soon as we entered the apartment it was back to itching and crawling sensations. The worst part of it is our 1-year-old is itchy a lot as well but we can't use the strong eucalyptus soap on her scalp as often because she doesn't know to close her eyes. It will get you clean of mites temporarily, but burns like a muther in your eyes. Also have been using DE but that doesn't seem to slow these buggers down much except for around bed posts, I think we've been getting less in the bed with that. We then tried Cedar Oil fogging, three times now, and this third time we baged/boxed/binned just about everything we could. Already feels like they're crawling on us...they must have hidden away in the cracks in the floor/walls. These things are vicious and extremely strong survivalists. I hope someone was able to find an actual solution to this, I may have to send my wife and kid to live with the in-laws for a few months to try and deal with this.

As for those talking about immune system stuff, I'm probably healthier than just about anyone they know. Thirty years old, former NCAA Div 1 athlete and still can run a sub-16 5k, eat organic and body surf at the beach on weekends. These mites don't care how healthy you are, they just want to eat you.

Hi folks, sharing what works for me in killing the mites that I apparently picked up in early August after sleeping on a pullout couch in a hotel in Canada. It's the only thing I can trace it back to. The mites came flooding unto my face in an over 20 minute torrent while standing in the subway 3 weeks later. Since then it has been sleepless agony, 24/7 battle to remove them, stop the runners from running, biting, stop the insane feeling of the wriggling movements everywhere. SO WHAT I AM RECOMMENDING:
Overall systemic death: combo of clove, oregano, peppermint, cinnamon bark oils; equal drops in about 4 ounces of water and every 2-3 hours round the clock. It's been about a week and I feel almost free. For the "runners" in my eyes, I mixed the same formula in a more dilute form(about 6 ounces water) and use cotton balls to wipe eyelids, eyebrows and rub on every where else on your body these buggers are hiding out!

Also, wipe down floors with ammonia solution. Wear clothes, including head gear only once, towels, sheets only once. Wash in hot water, dry on high heat. Keep dirty clothes in separate disposable plastic bag. Discard bag after transport of dirty clothes. Wipe down hard surfaces with alcohol. I originally had written my whole horrible narrative about my ordeal but it disappeared before I could submit. I have been unsuccessful with many things I tried, including 4 times with Permethrin. Some remedies were good for only a few minutes, some for an hour. The dermatologists said after Permethrin there was nothing they could do to help me. So I helped myself. THIS WORKS! Thank you angel posters who shared your remedies. This has been the hardest thing I have ever dealt with in my life and I am almost 60 years young. :-)

I can finally see the light is at the end of a dark, dark tunnel. Thank you to the most high! Fellow sufferers be strong, try until you find what works for you. The answers are out there. Peace & blessings, Mariam

There is a type of Chinese soap designed specifically to combat demodex mites. It's called "FaceDoctorX", but may be found for cheaper by the name "chang sheng soap". The main ingredient is seabuckthorn oil, so maybe you could just get the oil, directly.

I used it once because I had heard that acne cysts could be caused by demodex mites, but apparently this was not my problem, because it had very little effect on my acne (I think my problem was more about stress hormones, because it has since cleared up after life changes). It might be worth a try, though.

I finally found a combination that works. Get a large spray bottle and fill it 3/4 full of high ph water (soft water well), then fill the rest with Jack Daniels whiskey. Spray your body, your hair and the inside of your clothes. After you shower, get a bar of sulphur and re wet it putting that all over your body and wear it all day. Drop small drops of peppermint oil or wintergreen oil on your scalp but be careful because too much burns. You can use some gelled Skin so Soft in your hair along with that. Then spray Jovan Musk on your body. I tried everything and this is the only thing that worked for me. The whiskey/water, peppermint, muskcombo really kills them.

Sea Salt Bath
Posted by Robert (Los Angeles, CA) on 12/15/2014
★★★★☆

This post may be helpful by providing some details to some of the treatments for mites as I think it's maybe needed for some of us new to this.

First of all thank you so much to everyone on this site and others like it. I've only started dealing with this for about a month but I'm finally starting to get a grip on it and myself.

I don't have a cure yet but for anyone starting to deal with it sea salt baths will help you keep your sanity. But after the first bath all the critters that fell off my body ended up on my face and scalp, which increased my misery 10 fold. Wait at least an hour to get your head near the water till they all die off. I've noticed the water temp doesn't have to be all that hot. For my critters sea salt water is enough that they let go and start swimming till they die.

My guys are translucent in color so I never saw them until my second bath when I would gaze at the surface of the water from the side just where the light from the light bulb is reflected. I could see what looked like a sliver of thread or lint swimming like mad with all eight legs. The bigger ones look like a tiny wet dandruff flake with legs all around while the smallest ones look like the tiniest of dots, but looking even closer I realized they were treading water too! This truly freaked me out because there were tons of them in the dime sized spot I was observing. Well maybe 30 or so but that means there was a constellation of mites that just fell off my body in the tub with me! And that was just up to my waist!

I just wanted to give up and I dunno start sleeping on benches at this point. At least my lower half didn't itch that much. While I would soak and ponder getting my upper half in the water again I sprayed my torso and arms with Listerine to keep them from docking on me again. I chickened out a few times and just got out of water spraying my legs with Listerine and washed up, but eventually got a bucket with clean pre-soaked tub water and would step into that from the tub to ensure I didn't take with me the last of the stragglers, which I always found a lot of even after draining the tub and washing feet.

I even tried to dunk my head in a bucket but was afraid they would all crawl to my face then before I was done. Big dilemma. Until today I read about someone snorkeling in their tub, but not owning a mega tub I drove out to the beach and did some real snorkeling. Besides them crawling back on my legs on my drive back 30 min in the ocean got rid of them from me, most importantly my head! I just scratched my head as I wrote that but this is a turning point for me.

So find a big tub or the beach if your near it and dunk yourselves. If a tub hose yourself off while coming out or wait till they all die before getting out. I dream of the Dead Sea or Dr. Fish in Turkey that eats anything and everything off your body.

Now I gotta figure out how to get them off my 3 year old son, which is breaking my heart, and out of our lives.

Good luck to you all! God bless you.

Here's some things that worked for me to get rid of mites. I got Gene's Soothing Cream and put 2 Yellow Dock Root capsules (open them up and pour out) and put a heaping teaspoon of table salt in it. Put this all over twice a day. Also, a spray bottle with dissolved salt water, yellow dock root, cedar spray and Grower's trust concentrate (an oz of cedar and Grower's trust) really helped. I sprayed it on my clothes as soon as I took them off, then let them sit for 48 hours before washing. I also sprayed my hair with it. I also put table salt in all of my shampoos. You can spray sheets, sleeping bags, pillows and just about anything else. I tried all of the other stuff and found that this combination really kicked butt!

Multiple Remedies
Posted by Elly (Denver, Co) on 12/11/2014

I tried a lot of the oils and none of them seemed to knock down these mites. After a couple of weeks of experimenting, this is what worked for me. I took a large spray bottle and put 1/2 water, 1/3 Ben's cedar oil indoor formula, about two teaspoons mint Listerene, two capsules yellow dock root (open them up and dissolve). Shake that up and spray on everything. Treat your clothes as soon as you take them off and leave them sit for two days before washing. Wisk detergent was the best I found. Then I added 20 Mule team borax. If you can hang your clothes outside, do it. Then bring them back in and put them in the dryer on high heat. Then, spray them again with the bottle.

Lint roll your rugs and pets. Spray your mattress, turn your ceiling fan on to dry. Then encase it with a cover. After that, get yourself a nylon sleeping bag and spray that. A sleeping bag in easier to clean every night and you'll stay warm without much cover. The African Pride Olive oil leave in conditioner was awesome. I also sprayed my hair with the spray bottle concoction. Bed head products are awesome to wash your hair with but be careful as they will make your tub really slick. Until you can get some of this stuff, get some mineral oil and garlic oil capsules. Mix about 10 of those in the mineral oil and rub on. If you have kids, get the baby oil gel and mix with the garlic. You can also mix a spray bottle of water and yellow dock extract to spray on their hair and body. Make sure they wear slippers so their socks don't pick them up from the floor. If you have cats, yellow dock root capsules are the only thing that they can tolerate that will kill these beasts. I put on gloves and rubbed it into their fur and ears. It worked quick! Yellow dock extract can be found at most vitamin stores.

HI U GOOD PEOPLE DOIN, , , , , , , , ,

Just answered a question our new boy, Van, put to me about mites. I then went on to read what was in the archives. Most folks have Demodex mites their entire lives to one degree or another. I have had them and they are kind of a pain, but all live with them their entire lives. Yep, your nose can be red along with your eye lids. Not a crisis. These are microscopic. You are just not pretty.

On the other hand the one's my new friend, Van has, will put you in the top of a tall, tall pine tree. There is no way you can live with these dang buggers.

Here's my point. Mites are not mites, and this site needs to figure out how they can be categorized. Ain't no way drinking ACV gonna cure the mites that are under your skin and you can see. We are talking apples and oranges and misleading lots of folks.

I know I stirred the pot, but it needed stirring.

HI U VAN, , , , , , spent lots of time in Houston in '77 -'79 working on a Paper Mill design project.

Now listen up good buddy because you are going to have to get very, very serious to successfully address your problem. Everyone does . I suggest that you read every post on mites, scabies, etc on this site.

First, you are pissin in the wind by going to an MD except to give you prescriptions that you get off this site. They have never experienced what you are going through. You will have to address the mites in your skin and those that are in your clothes, bed sheets , floors , everywhere. Turn your hot water heater to 180 degrees and use only hot water and borax to wash your clothes, bedding , etc. Everything goes into a large plastic garbage bag. Clothing and bedding are changed daily. You have to sleep alone and don't touch anyone. Cover your mattress with a plastic zippered bag. Take a clothes lint roller and go over your sheets daily to keep track of your progress. The mites will be caught on the adhesive. Estimate them daily. Use only one set of sheets and only two sets of clothes. KISS, keep it simple stupid.

You will be killing critters every day but their eggs are hatching on a cycle and in another week you got a new team to mess with. This goes on for a couple of months if you stay with a good program.

Now Van, let's kill some dang mites. The 10% you are looking for is found at a farm Co-op as it's used on animals.... has to work. The drug folks don't want it to work for you, they just don't want you to die. It's the cancer and heart thing.

1. Go buy that and use it once a week for 3 weeks.

2. Now here's where you have to see a doctor. Get a prescription for Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment USP, 0.025% and coat your body 2X a day for two weeks and then one a day for a week. Cover you entire body from neck to toe. This will smother mites that were not killed by the insecticide.

3. Go to Walmart's Mexican section and buy the hottest liquid pepper they have. Buy Several boxes of 20 Mule team Borax. Buy 10 big bottles of Hydrogen peroxide.

4. Every morning and night, fill a tub of the hottest water you can stand. Add a bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide and 2 cups of borax and 1 cup of baking soda. Soak for 30 minutes and stand up and coat your body with the liquid pepper sauce. Sit down and wash this off. Stand up again and spray down your body with a saturated borax solution. Let sit for 5 minutes. Rinse that off with a shower.

5.Treat your body with the 10% Permerthin weekly followed by the daily ointment.

Van , I did all of the above and learned that mites are killed at a high temperature. I also did that 2X a day in our FIR sauna set at 160 degrees.

I also corresponded with a lad in Ireland who suffered for 2 years until he used a Rife Machine and killed his in two weeks. I now have a Rife Machine. I also have a Zapper, which you may want to buy and try. No U.S. doctor has a Rife Machine as they are outlawed for doctors ... too effective and too cheap. Mexico has them.

I think I got my mites from an upscale hotel in Atlanta. I have learned that folks that travel and have mites change hotels rooms daily. Mites know no educational nor economic barrier. They just get everybody, including substitute teachers.

Van, all on this site will vouch I tell stories, but they are all 96.4% true. I reserve 3.6% for embellishment.

I wish you the best but you got to out smart these little buggers and you do that with knowledge and persistence.

Iodine, Oregano, Hibiclens
Posted by Om (Hope Bc Canada) on 11/18/2014

Jim --- isopropyl alcohol is very poisonous. In Europe it has been prohibited for many years but it still is touted here.

You can also try Diatomaceous Earth (DE) internally and externally, following up with hemp oil to moisturize. Use your own saliver (sp). Whenever you can; it works very well. Your own body produces antibodies for everything. That is why I also use Urine Therapy with good results in addition to DE. I have also used neem oil with success and like to rotate these items.

Dr. Bronner's liquid kastile soap with essential oils, all natural, on a washcloth with dissolved Borax from top to bottom works well. Afterwards you need to moisturize with any good oil or hemp oil. It s very good for skin and hair.

Namaste, Om

I wanted to thank you personally. Your advice for taking the iodine, Oregano, and Hibiclens has worked well for me. I added MSM tabs to your advice and although I've not beat the little monsters yet, I've slowed them down considerably. I also keep a spray bottle of 91% isopropyl alcohol with tea tree oil by the bed for those active nights. additionally, I put vicks vapor rub around my nose to keep them out. I'm not out of the woods yet.......but I can now see a dramatic difference in my mite-mare. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

I would like to add info to my post on tannic acid. I just received a new batch of tannic acid, it seems weaker than my previous order so I am going with blending to color rather than amounts. I mixed my tannic in 1/2 white wine, 1/2 distilled water, then mixed in enough tannic powder till mixture became a brown very simular to an amber glass bottle. Also tried some on skin in a very irratated area, between breasts, it did not stain after 4-5 applications in one day, I am very pale naturally. Also tried this on eyelashes and eyelids to test for those with them in eyes. It dries really fast, so a thin layer a few times, allow to dry on closed eyes, should give enough relief to go about the business of eradicating in house etc.

HI U BETTY LOU, , , , , , , , , , with a double name you got to be a Southerner from yester year. I bet yo momma called you Betty until you got her dander up..... then, she addressed you as "BETTY LOU" in a strident voice and you knew she has the ass. "Yas mame , I be good" was your reply.

Anyway, diatomaceous is a mined product and it's all food grade. Just like Borax. Everyone on this site says you got to use only food grade borax. Bull, it is a mined product and 20 Mule Team Borax is food grade.

Anyways, I went to Ga Tech and lived in Augusta and St Simons for awhile so we bonded somehow.

You need to buy some diatomaceous earth, FOOD GRADE only!! Look on line to find a place near you that sells it.. or buy on line.. FOOD GRADE only.. spread it througout your home and car.. within 3 to 4 weeks they will almost be gone.. I promise you.. I have had them for 13 yrs.. until I tried DE.. I can feel them if I don't keep the DE down in my house, I also put it on myself in the beginning. This really does work.

Nicole. You can get Coconut Oil at grocer but Colloidal Silver at health food store. You can also buy Colloidal Silver Generator and make your own at home. For now, put about 10 drops Hydrogen Peroxide in your doggie's water bowl. I rotate C.S. and H2O2 in my kittie's water bowl.

Hi I hope you are mite free today. I moved into a house recently and for the first week I couldn't figure out what was crawling on me or making me itch so intensely. It turns out I have dust mites I don't remember did you say what kind of mites you had? I just finished my ACV and tea tree shower. I have used up all my Borax but I should have two arriving tomorrow. This website ia truely amazing. Im not sure if I peayed or not on this matter but it was nice of you to share. Any how I assume you are a Jehovah's Witness because not many others know gods name. I am too so maybe if I come along some bumps in the road as o try and escape these bugs I can just ask you. Its nice to know another witness went through this, it is a bit emberraasing, my hair is falling out because the mites are eating it and I shower about every other day and get relief. Until I go back to bed:( I bought a fogger that should kill all adult mites, spiders, .. In the house this is insane, I Also understand that mites naturally keep our bodies ecosystem but I literally feel them jumping on my legs when I walk in mY house. I just wanted to say it was up building to see you post in here. Crystal
Sorry for any typos. I am very tired.

mite infestation: 1/16 to 1/8 teaspoon tannic acid (see below)

in water, internally 3 to 4 times a day. Reduced itch from mite infestation.Make sure to add 3-4 drops mag oil to prevent constipation. I have not slept or been able to function since this started over a year ago. While reading an old post of Ted's 3 nights ago, he said you can spray this to dry up eggs and mites, its not good for spraying due to staining. I started taking internally. The itch has stopped, I am on my third day and am able to sleep longer, think straighter. I am the only person in my household of 5 people that is having problem, along with 2 of our 3 dogs. (I believe due to, I am the only person with metal fillings in teeth.Ted mentioned somewhere metal can create an attraction for mites.)

Other things that work:Ted's borax edta peroxide formula. Diatomaceous earth on grass in yard. ( Dogs kept reinfesting from yard, I just figured this out.)

Most important step in my opinion, keeping ceilings sprayed with borax, edta, peroxide formula. Use garden 1 gallon sprayer. I had gotten rid of this twice in house and on dogs, using his method, just couldn't get yard done well enough. Thats when I realized missing component of DE. MY favorite way to reduce tannic acid for use in dropper rather than as a powder, my recipe(Tony Panteleresco's actually.)3 teaspoons tannic acid powder in about 8 oz. to 12 oz. of white wine or brandy blend 10 minutes in (osterizer blender) on med to high for 10 minutes . Strain into jar thru clean hankerchief, use 10 to 20 drops in 1/2 glass of water with 2-3 drops mag oil. Drink 3-4 times a day.

Enzyme Cleaner

Glad Kleen Green did the trick! I plan on getting some just to have on hand. In fact, I think I will wash all new clothes with some Kleen Green added just to be safe. Thanks for all the info! Very helpful. Blessings, Meeya

Meeya, Sunnyvale, CA --- on the second day after that discovery, they seem to be gone after the spraying with KLEEN GREEN. I am on the look out though and spray before bed time. The horseshoe formation of bites just withered after spraying. There are some odd withered spots but thankfully nothing new so far.

If there were to occur an infestation later, I would use Vaseline. Other people on EC have used mayonnaise with success. I will, however, order Ted's remedy online as well. Kerosene for that purpose is not available here that easily; I had a bad reaction with it as companies will not be up front about their product. Forest Products from Georgia, US are superb. I will keep it for other health treatments. It is the postage that makes it so outrageously expensive if sent out to Canada.

The answer for you where bought etc. is simply: our politicians have brought Pandora's box right into our homes with the chief concern of course, China. Most businesses and corporations wheel and deal without being concerned about the consumer. So, all big stores IMO. I can imagine, if one were to make a complaint, they could show you the door for being the chief cause of the complaint.

One not only lives in interesting times, but very dangerously as well.

With me, I was blessed to have the right treatment on hand. It arrived here the day before. I can well imagine, if nothing helps, the infestation could be overwhelming. It also helps to remain calm and take a minute at a time. Easily said. Research is very important.

Another point to consider is this: on research on enzyme cleaners, I find pesticide companies have made it difficult for house cleaning products such as enzyme cleaners, to claim that enzymes kill pests.

This is where EC comes in so handy and timely when needed. We are on our own.

Wishing you and your little ones well.

Namaste, Om

Enzyme Cleaner
Posted by Meeya (Sunnyvale, Ca) on 10/24/2014

Hi Om,

Thanks for the alert. How are you doing now? Did you use the enzyme cleaner? I've read about the enzyme cleaner called Kleen Green... I'm assuming that's the one you're talking about??

Other than the tetrasodium EDTA, I've read that kerosene applied on the body and scalp gets rid of hard to treat mites.

Do you mind sharing more about the shirt you bought? Was it in a package or was it exposed on a hanger? Do you mind sharing what brand it was? With small children, I'm especially concerned... as I'm sure are many others... since we need to buy new clothes for them every 6 -12 months. My boys are growing fast!

In any case, please keep us posted on this and what treatments do and don't work for you... and anything else you learn. Take Care, Meeya

Enzyme Cleaner

This is an alert for everyone. I am looking for help from regular posters and anyone who knows something.

I have a long sleeved blue cotton t-shirt from a real big super store. When I wore it at night, there was severe stinging in patches. I was in denial and washed it with Borax. Wore it one more time and then threw it into the garbage after the same type of intense needle like stinging in patches at night. That was on my torso.

However, the deed was done. Wore a night dress I hadn't worn for a year as it is for winter. I had already passed on to this garment. Again, into the garbage. I discovered raised bites in the shape of a horseshoe to my horror. Because of a previous poster's mite success story, I had purchased online an enzyme cleaner that just came in handy. These things I have now are different! Second night they attacked my torso and I reached for the spray bottle. All quiet but in the morning more bites to see in the mirror, bigger and better. I searched this section for Ted's morgellons treatment. They were two chemicals. Does anyone know? He said to use these as soap on the body.

The company who sells this enzyme cleaner told of many desperate calls from all over the world from people hit by this plague, partly caught from newly bought clothes.

A chicken keeper who posted here recently said that enzyme cleaner was the only thing that helped and cured the mite problem. And I remember that years ago, I saw another post on EC by a lady that claimed success with enzyme cleaner for mites.

I tried to find it in the stores without success till I found info. online. I have to study that now. So now know that brand new clothes can be like a Trojan horse. It is difficult to know if such a garment came from China or elsewhere.

Any suggestions, please.

Namaste, Om

The easiest treatment for Morgellons is to obtain tetrasodium EDTA and take a bath with it and use that like a soap. Ted
