For hemorrhoids, take 1000 mgs of bioflavonoids 2 a day. If capsules, open them up and pour contents down the throat. (much better results) Wash down with juice.

Take activated B complex.

Avoid Arginine, which is high in some nuts like walnuts and pecans, and chocolate.

Melatonin

Hello Maribelacuna,

for hemorrhoids, if you don't mind a few hours of good sleep at night, give Melatonin a try. Do not take melatonin if you have to drive. Melatonin was a game changer for me and I only took it a week or two. I have to be alert at any moment to pray.

In case you have not heard of Melantonin before, it is a supplement you can purchase at the Vitamin store, on even on line. I used 3mg and extra some days, but extra meant extra sleep also, so keep that in mind.

I do not recall if it helped what I originally took it for, because I did not take it long enough. But I do know that it healed my hemorrhoids.

How many days did you drink the avocado seed water? And how long do you let it sit before straining it? Thanks

Aloe Vera

Score another one for Earth Clinic!! I had a recent bout of hemorrhoids and rectal irritation. I've tried the over the counter products which are rarely effective. Lately, I've been experimenting with making my own suppositories. I used an organic virgin coconut oil (VCO) for the base and added a couple drops of tea tree oil. They worked well as a lubricant. But it wasn't until I read the posts about aloe vera that I got fantastic results.

To make the suppositories just melt about two tablespoons of the VCO in a small bowl, sprinkle two or three drops of tea tree oil, and add about a teaspoon of pure aloe vera. Mix then place the bowl in the refrigerator. When the oil begins to harden, scoop a small amount onto a section of plastic wrap and roll it into a small log shape and twist the ends to close. Place the "logs" in the refrigerator to harden. Whenever you need one, use a half or whole section and insert one before bedtime. They are soothing and cooling. I have never had such immediate results. Be persistent...this ailment takes a while to completely heal.

One suggestion: because the suppositories are oil based, wear protective panty liners.

Apple Cider Vinegar and Cayenne Drink

This worked for me. Eliminated my hemorrhoid symptoms completely.

I read this article in July and the first of Nov all my symptoms have abated.

Twice a day, I mix .75 tablespoon ACV, .5 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper and .75 tablespoon filtered honey in 10 to 12 oz of cold water. I do not sip this drink, a couple of chugs would be more approximate description. The honey helps the taste but it doesn't mix easily in the water.

I worked up to .5 teaspoons of Cayenne pepper over a couple of weeks. Expect some discomfort a burning sensation. The burning sensation passes within a couple of minutes and then faster each day. As I grew more accustomed and increasing the dose I was surprised that the burning moved from my stomach, to my ear canals, to the back of my throat. At some point the discomfort lessened to me not noticing other than, hey no burning.

In addition to my symptoms disappearing completely, the occasional bout of late night heartburn also stopped.

I never applied any thing directly to my affected areas once I started drinking this mixture.

I had tried dozens of different approaches over the years, none came close to this.

WARNING!

WARNING! Be very careful applying cayenne pepper to hemorrhoid directly. Just do it for external ones. I tried it for an internal one once and my rectum became heavily inflamed, very painful for a long period and I urinated blood. And to make things worse, it caused my hemorrhoid to become prolapsed!

Raw Egg Yolks

I used to get a small hemorrhoid occasionally that would bleed a little. I found that eating a few raw eggs made it better. I also stopped drinking coffee and sitting too much, and am more careful about how much chocolate I eat as it seems to cause painful ovarian cysts. The eggs seem to have been the key as I can sit for prolonged periods again, and without my legs hurting, as well. I was a heavy coffee drinker with a deficient diet.

Spring Water

The whole story started a few years ago. In brief, I had problems with breathing. The doctor, professor of medicine, without any thorough examination for the possible reasons (most probably the reason was stress), prescribed antibiotics without any protection (ie. probiotics).

Well, in fact he examined the lungs and didn't find anything suspicious but anyway, preventatively, he prescribed antibiotics. I wasn't wise enough to protect myself on my own at that time.

After completing the treatment with antibiotics I contracted Clostridium difficile infection in a quite severe form. I was very reluctant to take another
antibiotic to kill the infection and that was the mistake. Eventually I took the prescribed metronidazole. Lucky for me it worked and fought the infection (the proof that antibiotics are not always so bad). Unfortunately I waited too long and as a result I got IBS-D (diarrhea form of irritable bowel syndrome). I guess, at that time my microbiota (microorganisms living in the guts) was completely messed up.

As a result of frequent discharging (about ten times a day) I developed internal hemorrhoids (bleeding during discharge, no pain). I tried the methods described on this site but without success.

I was depressed. Finally, without much hope, I switched, in my daily beverages (tea, coffee, water), from tap water to spring water bought at a local shop.
To my surprise, it worked. After three weeks bleeding disappeared, discharging stabilized at once a day on average (although still every couple of days in a liquid form).

I should also mention that this changing from tap to spring water helped my mother-in-law to stop stomach mucosa bleeding caused by tonnes of medicines she is taking. Before that she regularly, once a year, visited hospital to have blood transfusions.

As I am a man of reason, I tried to find some explanation for this. The only explanation which comes to my mind is the following one.

Tap water in my city (as I guess is the case in most places) is chlorinated ie. chlorine compounds are added to water during its treatment to disinfect it.

Chlorine acts on the body as a drying agent (you can notice the effect of dry skin when washing hands in chlorinated water and this is not only soap causing it) and probably, as a result intestinal mucosa becomes dried up, less flexible and more prone to mechanical microdamage during discharge.

As for my IBS-D, it is still there, but in a much milder form. I guess the reason is imbalanced microbiota in my intestines. Most probably I should change my diet to cure it. I know that first of all I should eliminate sugar, but I am simply addicted to it.

I hope this simple and inexpensive method will help the people with similar health problems.

Cayenne

(This is going to be a little graphic)

I had hemorrhoids for about two years. Sometimes they shrunk, sometimes they grew, but they were always there.

I initially tried the cotton ball apple cider vinegar technique for a couple days, and that helped a lot on the first day. They shrunk tremendously, but I still could feel the bigger ones when I stuck my finger up there. They were smaller than they were, but still bulging and very present. I did the apple cider technique twice a day for three days, but saw no real improvement past the first day, and ended up giving up on it. Hurt like crazy but gave no real results.

As a last ditch effort I ordered some 500mg cayenne tablets, which I read were also helpful for hems. I started taking one tablet every morning for the past 5 days, and haven't really examined the inside of my rectum since- I guess I kind of expected the cayenne not to work and was just taking it for the loads of other benefits. Today in the shower I decided to check again, not expecting it to be much better, but man was I pleasantly surprised.

I used to feel the same few hems which felt like internal skin tags, one that was about 50% bigger and longer than the others. This time I could find none of them. I really got in there because I couldn't believe they were gone, and all I could feel was a sort of scab-like texture where the hemorrhoids used to be. I assume they are truly scabs of some sort that are still continuing to heal the affected area. I am going to continue taking the cayenne pepper tablets, and hopefully I'll have a completely smooth passageway soon.

I would highly suggest trying cayenne pepper, I ordered mine off Amazon. Go with a kosher brand. Maybe try the apple cider vinegar initially too, as I cannot discount the fact that it did shrink them the first time and perhaps continued to work over time.

I have been doing research on Fargelin. I purchased some from Amazon because of all of the good reviews but was worried about the arsenic deal. I took it for the first time yesterday but did not do it three pills three times a day. I thought I would work my way up to that. I was curious about how long you took it and if you had any side effects.

I believed in the power of Rutin from reading other users comments. However, I was expecting faster results since I saw no change after about 10 days. After doing more research, I found that you can take much more than the 500mg per day that others have said. So, I upped the dosage to two 500mg pills morning and night (2,000mg per day). Note - I also read that you should take 500-1,000mg of vitamin C as rutin can interfere with your body's ability to absorb vitamin C from foods. Within 2 days of changing the dosage the my Hs are almost 100% gone!

Tea Tree Oil

Wow, I have just tried the Tea Tree Oil remedy for Hemorrhoids after reading about it this morning on this amazingly helpful website............................... and it works! Instant relief for my inflamed and bleeding anus, and some internal irritation too. I am not saying this is a "cure" but it definitely calmed and cooled everything down on first contact.

I used it after applying my homemade "Vaseline", which is 4 parts Extra Virgin Olive Oil, to one part Beeswax ( plenty videos on Youtube on how to make it)............... we really do not want to be putting a Petrol based substance on sensitive skin or any way internal. Then I applied the Tea Tree Oil ( this is just cheap stuff out my local thrift store, so I thought it may not work LOL), and yes, instant relief and the area now actually feels "good" instead of sore and irritated.

So a massive thank you to everyone who posted about using this method.

PS. The Olive Oil is full of Vitamin E which helps the skin to heal and stay moisturised as well.

Herbs
Posted by Ken B (Scotland) on 05/18/2017

Ricardo, I would be very careful about putting Vaseline, which is a Petrol based product on any area of sensitive absorbing skin, or internally. Have a look on Youtube on how to make homemade "vaseline" from Olive Oil and beeswax. This is much safer and the Vitamin E in the Olive Oil will help the skin heal.

Just my thoughts amigo.

Thank you Maria for this. Though I have hems for the last few years I did not have any flare ups. However, last few days I got a rather bad thromboses hems and I was wondering what was the cause of this! Now by seeing your post I realised that past few months, probably a year, I did not take any milk thistle. I just ran to my medicine chest and grabbed one. Hope I should be back to normal soon! Thanks again. God bless you.

Inversion Therapy

If rutin hasn't stopped the 'roids', borrow an inversion swing. it won't stop you getting the nasties, but will get rid of them until the next attack. and it won't take 24-48 hours, like other miracle remedies, but probably in only 10 mins. or so. Not suitable if pregnant, heavily overweight or with weak ankles. Takes a little getting used to, as you hang upside down like a bat hanging from the ceiling of a cave. Mine has become redundant ever since I started using rutin, but before that the 'swing' was my lifesaver. if, after getting a swing, you have difficulties in using it or getting results, post back for further advice-I've become something of an expert on its usage.

Multiple Remedies

After suffering from hemorrhoids virtually every day for over a year, I was referred to a specialist and then recommended to have hemorrhoid surgery (hemorrhoidectomy) to control the hemorrhoids. In the time between the referral and the surgery (which would have been six months), I took some steps to try to naturally cure my hemorrhoids. Basically, I went from having painful hemorrhoids every day to being completely cured of hemorrhoids within three months (and no surgery! ) ... by following the list below:

1: Take Supplements to strengthen veins and prevent hemorrhoids:

  • Horse Chestnut & Butcher's Broom
  • Diosmin & Hesperidin
  • Rutin (1 x 250 mg per day)
  • Gotu Kola (1 x 475 mg per day)
  • Hemorrhoid Control
  • Vitamin C (1 x 500 mg Vitamin C per day)
  • Vitamin D (1 D3 1000 per day)
  • Multi Vitamin (1 x per day)

2: Practice a Better Overall Diet:

  • Drink 8 glasses of water per day
  • Veggie smoothie for breakfast … with cruciferous vegetables as the base
  • Eat Vegetarian meals (when possible)

3: Take Supplements that support softer stool (something similar to organic psyllium)

4: Eat foods that have a slight laxative effect:

  • Green Veggies: Spinach, Kale, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, etc
  • Beans & Legumes: Beans, Peas, Split Peas, Lentils, etc
  • Fruits: Apples, Apricots, Blackberries, Prunes, Peaches, Pears, Plums, Raspberries, Strawberries, etc
  • Other: Whole Wheat, Oatmeal, etc

5: Practice good Toilet habits:

  • Elevate feet when going to the bathroom (Squatty Potty)
  • Don't strain
  • Don't stay on the toilet too long (2 to 5 minutes is enough)
  • Wear cotton underwear

I have to second you on this! For me, I cut an actual small chunk of the gel of the leaf (after being chilled in the fridge) and placed it in like a suppository...IMMEDIATE RELIEF! And then the next day, one more time...and I was healed. It was a woah moment for sure to be healed so swiftly. Oh, I've also used organic virgin coconut oil is before. Takes a bit longer, but reduces the inflammation immediately and the horrible burning! Great natural remedies let me tell you!!

I felt I need to share my experience it will benefit all ppl suffering from hemorrhoids but you need to follow it accurately and keep doing it for at least one week and you will see the miracle results.

Bring Aloe Vera plant, slice it from the middle and scratch the jelly part then add to this jelly mixture any type of hemorrhoids cream then put the mixture in a plastic pay or small cones in the freezer.

Take a small piece every day and put it on the hemorrhoids and you will see the miracle happening as it combines the benefits of the aleo Vera which have healing benefits and the cream then finally ice which helps in reducing the inflammation.

hemorrhoid remedy- buy what's called an inversion swing. sort of like a kid's see-saw. cost approx. $150-$200 doesn't prevent piles, but gets rid of them generally in 5-10 mins until next bowel movement. greatest blessing of my life. if bleeding as well, give Rutin a try-worked for me.

Turmeric
Posted by Joanne (Leeds) on 12/24/2016

I have had an anal fissure along with internal piles for the last year. I cured myself for 5 months and have had some relapses in between. I initially started using the nitroglycerin ointment prescribed by the doctors, for 6 weeks to widen blood vessels and allow the area to heal. I got the headaches that were a side effect but nothing worse than the pain of the fissure and hemorrhoids. But a month after the fissure re tore and got the piles back to. I guess this was because I had high rectal pressure and a very dry anus.

So through experimenting I found turmeric powder mixed with either of these things; aloe Vera, castor oil, olive oil, tea tree oil, witch hazel, vitamin e oil - was helping. I would apply it directly to my fissure and piles every day once in the morning and evening. Lay on my side and let it soak in. Tumeric is a god send!!!

Occasionally I would crush half a piece of garlic coat it in oil and put this on my bum.. I wouldn't leave it on for longer than 10 minutes. I tried the apple cider vinegar topically which actually didn't work for me but I think that's because I have an internal pile so will have to drink the apple cider vinegar in water.

I have bought rutin and vitamin b6. Rutin I eat twice a day and vitamin b6 once. This apparently strengthens the colon wall which is what you want. I have upped my vitamin c and cod liver oil which I have found helps. Also, I am anemic which affects my red blood cells inevitably affecting the healing and inflammation. So it is important to know if your iron levels are ok..

I have upped my fibre (research soluble and insoluble fibre) I drink loads of water, I have found apples to be great. Started to drink green, peppermint tea which is good for your gut. Also eating garlic in yogurt(probiotic) 2-4 times a week. Having 2 sitz baths a day and massaging my bum, putting a hot water bottle on my bum so that I am relaxing muscles so that I can heal.. Changing your mindset is also important. I know it's easier said than done but try not to stress. I sit in a squatting position and always make sure my bum is clean but moisturised and lathered with Vaseline or aloe vera or oil because it promotes healing.. oddly enough I didn't find coconut oil worked for me because it acted as a coating but didn't moisturise or allow me to heal as it was acting as a barrier. I think keeping in the routine of doing these things is important to prevent reoccurrence.

General Feedback
Posted by Jc (In) on 12/03/2016

Try eating coconut oil everyday sounds weird but it's good for balancing candida and gut health in general. You can also get it in veg capsules or make them yourself. I have also made my own suppositories by refrigerating coconut oil alone and sometimes with certain food grade essential oils both vaginally and the anal route. Helps me very quickly with flares

Most of my life I had bee avoiding eating products of white flour. A little haemmorrhoids I could massage away with some natural ointment.

And then I spent Rosh Hashanah with my grandchildren. Eating white chala very evening, and honey cake whenever I got hungry. Back at home: really and epidemic of hemmorrhoids! Now I am going through all the list of natural remedies to heal them away.

Why I reply to this post? You might heal fast and completely if you avoid bread or any other bakery of white flour, or even any other flour for a time. Also stay away from barley and quaker oats.

I would be glad to hear whether my advice was of use.

Please let me know.
