After trying all the possible remedies the only one that avoids an outbreak at the first sign in my that I have a very resistant strain is manuka honey mgo 80 osea de 30. I put it 2 times a day and use a sanitary napkin to avoid embarrassment and the sore does not come out. I do it 3 days in a row late and night. It is better than the antiviral and it is not necessary to take it if this does abort the outbreak. I had tried oils, lysine, lecithin, hydrogen peroxide, apple vinegar, sabila, monolaurin, ganoderma fungus, multivitamins, valtrex, acyclovir, bach flowers, prunella.

Try this and share it. It does not cure definitively but it naturally avoids an outbreak to the first symptoms and does not need to take antiviral.

I have been taking two capsules a day of 'Curcumin' for general body pain. I have only had one herpes outbreak in two years. Has to be Curcumin! I use DMSO if I have outbreak. Straight onto lesions for couple of days. You can google turmeric for herpes for find articles about it. I also take 1000mg Vit C. I think I will try Lecithin too.

For genital herpes, use DMSO as soon as you feel it coming on. Dab Dmso directly onto lesions. Also rub liquid Magnesium onto spine - that's where virus hides when its dormant. Herpes hates Mag and coconut oil.

I honestly couldn't pinpoint when or how I picked up gen herpes. I've had it years before I got it confirmed. Although I had a pretty wild college life, I've never had unprotected sex until I was ready to have a baby after getting married. So I just never thought it possibly, now I know it could have come through several ways, not just two touching genitals.

Anywho, as my family and work life grew, so did the frequency of outbreaks. They were coming at minimum, every month, sometimes 2-3 times a month. They never spread into big patches, always just a blister or a few, but the regularity and size-to-pain ratio is what finally made me think “God, please don't tell me I have herpes” and I got checked. Yep. I had got it.

I knew I wasn't going on antivirals so I started taking lysine, vitamin C, and oregano. It helped a lot, reducing the severity of outbreaks and even stopping them, but I found myself mega doses of lysine, like 3k-8k mg, when I felt one coming on, especially when it would cone aggressively and stubbornly.

I then began to hear about a rare number of people messing their kidneys up with lysine and stopped taking it right away. I had a short period when the outbreaks reduced greatly and I didn't see one for months. Then they slowly crept back. I tried tea tree oil which is supposed to help, the problem was, if not diluted properly, due to its strength, it can irritate the skin causing temporary damage, which actually allows the virus to come through and then the skin is too irritated to use anything else. With now five kids and a spouse (who's never shown signs of having it), the stress of an outbreak and me contaminating our home was horrible. Sitting in a meeting wondering if people could see my discomfort on my face was terrible.

Not wanting to get back in lysine, and not wanting to use irritating essential oils, I decided to try peroxide. I was worried it would burn me up, but surprisingly it didn't. I would get that tingle or itch or vibrating nerve feeling and apply peroxide. Magically I wouldn't get an OB. I've been doing this for over six months and no outbreak has come through.

Here's my routine that always works for me:

1. Peroxide. Using a spray bottle (you can find a peroxide spray at grocery store or in-line and use regular peroxide bottles to refill.) spray on a baby wipe or directly and dab any area that itches, tingles, and any genital area that ever had a breakout. Do this after using the restroom or even if you feel one coming on.

2. If you nice any irritation at all, add virgin coconut oil to this. You can rub some on a baby wipe and then spray it with peroxide. This blends it in your skin perfectly. You can even do this with no irritation, it just adds an extra step.

3. If you have a particularly aggressive threat of an outbreak, one that doesn't seem to want to let off, hit the shower. Even if you've already had one that day. Spray your whole genital area with the hottest water you can handle down there. Front and back. This kills the shedded virus on the skin and virus close to the skin that's still in the nerves and often chases it away. When you're done drying off, follow 1. And 2.

Keeping your genital area clean, front and back, is super important. My doctor, who is also a good buddy from college, said one of the biggest outside influences to an outbreak is being unclean and/or sweaty. Bacteria and sweat seem to make a happy environment for an OB. So even when you don't want to, shower the bastards off of you.

Try not to stress. When you feel the signs, inhale deep, and exhale. You'll be fine! Just try my tips!

I would go into dietary changes, but for me, what I eat doesn't seem to matter. I've been on a fully lysine diet, outbreaks. I've done high arginine diets, no increase in outbreaks. So this is a personal decision, and should be based on how diet affects your OBs.

This isn't a cure, but it sure beats drugs and for me, this has worked 100% of the time, coming from someone who was getting multiple outbreaks a month.

Best of luck.

Hydrogen Peroxide

I had HSV-2 since 2015, I experienced the lowest lows of my entire life. I was hopeless, lost my joy, and really wasn't happy at all. I tried all manner of treatments over the course of years, and eventually to tried 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide.

I read various forums and found some people that had used it reported favorable results, some that even claimed that it cured them, and some reported that they didn't get good results. I figured that if it worked for some people it was worth a try for me. It seems to affect everyone a little differently.

HSV seems like a difficult virus to beat as it's quite resilient, so I hit it hard with the 35% hydrogen peroxide and eventually worked up to 25 drops 3x daily for 6 months in distilled water. I tried to eat as healthy as possible during this time, even eating a raw diet for about 3 months. After the 6 months of 25 drops a day 3x daily, I continued on lower maintenance doses for another 3 months. I wasn't super disciplined about the keeping the dose consistent, it was roughly 5-10 drops 3x daily, eventually tapering down to zero.

Since then, March 1, 2020, I have taken no medication or even supplements. I haven't had any breakouts, and I drink coffee all day, beer, and sometimes eat all kinds of junk food. I've had pizza, fries, you name it. I haven't gotten retested, but I haven;t had any issues for months now, so I'm going to see if it continues. I feel like it worked, because I had tons of issues previously.

I've come to believe that there are many suppressed cures/treatments. Other than 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide that worked for me, there is the also the Bob Beck blood electrocution therapy, MMS/sodium chloride, which is a lot stronger than 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide, intravenous ozone, vitamin B17, Laetrile, and others.

I wouldn't recommend the particular protocol that I used unless you research 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide first because it's a bit extreme. Please do your own research about safe protocols. I was at such a low point in my life that it was worth it to me to risk possible side effects if I could possibly be cured.

For the record I didn't experience any side effects except for minor discomfort from taking 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide on an empty stomach, and a little scratchiness in my throat. This protocol is hard to do at first, but then becomes routine, and for me it was well worth it and a hug blessing. My life was a living hell and now it's normal again. I thank God that I found out about 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide and suppressed cures.

Please feel free to ask me questions. I hope that you all succeed in your journey to beat this as I did.

This is a thread for those following the Synergy protocol for herpes infection. This thread in no way is associated with the business of Synergy Pharmaceuticals. It seems to be having issues keeping threads up over at the Honeycomb HSV forum due to factions within the community. Honestly, there are massive issues in that community that they allow people to post and advise inaccurate information regarding this infection that borders on negligence and breech of duty of care in the opinion of this writer.

People would like to be able to speak freely of their experiences with Synergy protocol away from medical dogma.

EC: Are any of our regular readers familiar with this protocol? We've never heard of it before.

We'll post for now and see what kind of posts we get about it.

Just finished a 5 day treatment with acetone and must say I really am impressed. It was really comfortable for the whole 5 days and now there are no symptoms.

First I used a baby wipe to clean the whole area and then applied the acetone on a folded tissue and by tapping 'tap tap tap' over the blisters till it became more tolerable (burned like crap at first) and then pressed the tissue hard over the blisters for a couple minutes or till I felt no more pain.

I did nothing more. Usually the ordeal lasts for a good three weeks.. FIVE DAYS is all it took! Thank you so much for this trick! XOXOXO

I used 3% h2O2 on a cotton pad to cleanse the affected skin, followed by DMSO (applied with clean hands... NO SOAP) at the first sign of itchiness (HSV2) at bedtime. Repeated for 3 days. Perfect results. Outbreak averted!! I continued to use h2O2 occasionally for the next few days.

Just came across this site--experiencing an outbreak after not having one for years. Wow I forgot how painful and itchy they are! OMG need help fast! The Apple Cider Vinegar sounded good to me--recently discovered it for other things--like mosquito bites. It took away the itch of mossie bites. So I read all the posts on Herpes sores--WOW--so many said it worked for them--So --I had a bottle of ACV in my bathroom--I had to look at what I was dealing with--spread a towel on my bed to see what the situation was --I could see a few sores in my genital area--I wanted to calm the area down a bit with warm water--and clean it--so I got a warm wash cloth/wiped the area--and used some mild soap (Dove) and dried it with a paper towel. Then I put a towel on my bed and grabbed the mirror and some cotton rounds--three--and the bottle of ACV--took each round and applied a good amount of ACV to the pad of cotton --then I quickly applied to the area--making sure to get the wettest part of the ACV on the round onto the sores. I was prepared for it to sting a lot--but it was not as bad as I thought. I think that washing the area with warm water and soap helped. And I think that they itched so SO much that any stinging I felt was a relief compared to the itching --it was awful--I applied one ACV cotton round then got another clean one --and soaked it with ACV--put it on with some pressure to really soak the sores--then I did a third one. Before I knew it ..I was not feeling any itching or pain from the sores. Amazing! I dried the area a bit with a paper towel pat--that might not have been a good idea since the ACV needs to be on them to dry them out. But so far so good. I did that about 20 minutes ago and I am still not feeling any itch or pain. Apple Cider Vinegar is AMAZING!! I usually don't post --or take advice from sites like this--but this is definitely worth it! And legit! Esp if you are suffering from those awful sores like me. I can't believe I walked around all day suffering with them now--and I did not have to! Try it! It is worth it!

I detected this at the end of 2015 after an unfortunate encounter and then tested positive for both HSV1 and 2. It was severe for a month. Then I came across this site and used Oregano oil. 2-3 times a day few drops from the filler under the tongue. I leave it there for a few seconds. Did this for couple of months and then it went away. Initially I put it on my penis - it burns like hell. Just dab it very lightly and it works but of course burns bad for a few minutes. I thought I got cured so I stopped and then it came back with a vengeance in 2 months.

Again started using it and didn't stop for 6 months. It went away for good. I get a minor sting when I forget to take it for couple of weeks and I take for a few days just to be sure and then nothing. One thing I can say with confidence is that after mid-2016 I have not seen an outbreak. I just bought it on iherb or Amazon based on price and went with the top reviewed product. Usually around 10 dollars and it lasts you a couple of months. I keep a couple of bottles in my medicine cabinet so I never run out. This site is god sent. Best of luck to everyone.

I knew about this 35 years ago and did this back then. It was a cure for cancer. My mother had just passed away. it is very hard to get up to the 25 drops and not easy trust me. I never stuck to this as it got very costly. However, you can put it in Juice as well as carrot juice. It will not taste as bad. You can put it in your bathtub but osmosis it's still not as good. I was taking it internally.

I'm here looking up natural remedies myself the first time because I have just broken out and nothing seems to be working and I keep breaking out I just started breaking out it must have been dormant to me for years. And I'm 65, how embarrassing. I still plan on dating again. I do swear by peroxide though. If you use the 35% h202 topically you must dilute this with distilled water.

DO NOT put 35% directly on your skin. It will burn you.

Lecithin cures herpes. Get a bottle of soft capsules. They are large, take three a day, three times a day. You will never have an outbreak again. I say soft capsules because the liquid is thick and difficult to get down. Liquid is fine if you can take it. Just go buy lecithin in whatever form you want at your local health food store and take it daily. There's no magic formula of what brand or pill as opposed to liquid. Take it until you don't have an outbreak then take it a bit longer. There's an old post here on earthclinic about lecithin curing herpes. Do some research and find it. I had near continuous outbreaks until I started lecithin and I had tried everything out there. Lecithin works! I can't stress it enough. It will set you free. Then go tell everyone you know who suffers.

Dear Ju, your immune system has held the herpes virus in check (dormant) and it is likely a recent stress on the immune system has tipped this balance. You can boost the immune system with lysine and whole food vitamin c, eg rosehip powder, and others. Your ACV you can take internal and apply external, it will likely sting, you may like to mix with Castor oil. If you do not get improvement from the acv, Further research how lecithin defeats herpes and shingles virus. Best to you.

Posted by Alex (Australia) on 06/28/2018

Further to my ACV trial above:

I have since learned that the Apple Cider Vinegar was increasing my pH Balance.

It seems the ACV that is not actually providing the direct relief here. It's my pH level.

I went and bought a personal pH tester and I piss on it whenever potty break is required to check.

If my pH is low I take some ANTACID (Alka-Seltzer, Eno, Ural, Etc) to boost it. Currently, I'm using Eno cause it's cheaper.

I have seen an immediate improvement in controlling the external lesions to the point where the now don't actually break the skin.

I continue to take Lysine (which seems to toughen the skin) and Vit C daily.. and double it if I feel an outbreak.

I am certain when I am under attack even though there are no lesions because I feel the hyper-sensitivity in the back of my legs and the usual prodrome feelings.

I've read on other forums some people who claim it has stopped outbreaks altogether. I would love to get to this stage. I think its definitely the right track.

Can anyone else confirm success with controlling pH levels and Outbreaks, please?

Dear Hopeful, perhaps you can read up on the benefits of lysine and lecithin for the herpes virus. By treating from the inside you prevent the outbreak, rather than treat externally when outbreak has already occurred. Avoid any foods or energy drinks with arginine and aspartame, these will cause an outbreak. Keep a food diary app and see for yourself. Try mixing some healing castor oil with your Apple Cider Vinegar for topical use, or just castor oil until your sores have settled. Best to you

My boyfriend suffers from recurring herpes sores and lesions both in his mouth and outside of his mouth. This went on for a couple years while I research a bunch of things and we tried various diets, etc.

What I found absolutely works is Red Marine Algae with Gigartina & Dumontiaceae algae. It works as a preventative, taken in the recommended dosage daily. BUT if you forget to take it or just can't afford to take it on regular basis (it's expensive) you can take it at the FIRST "tingle" on your lip, and it will not even form into a lesion. You need both kinds of algae for it to be effective.

I hope this helps others like it has helped my boyfriend! He has not had a sore in about a year. He has occasional "tingles" when he drinks wine or eats wheat (terrible for herpes sufferers) but takes the Red Marine Algae immediately and nothing forms.

Lecithin works. There is a post here on Earth Clinic about killing the virus with lecithin. You should be able to find it without much trouble. I tried everything. Nothing worked. I bought liquid lecithin but couldn't get it down so I now take three capsules two to three times a day. They are large, you may be able to buy smaller pills if that's a problem. I have had one outbreak in nine months and that was early on. When that happened I opened a pill and put the lecithin directly on the two sores. They have never come back. I was constantly have outbreaks, one after another. Miserable to say the least. Thank God for lecithin. It is the only thing that has worked for me. I still take it daily. I hope you consider giving it a try. I'm at peace after twenty years of misery.

John, It sounds like you are in the throes of a viral storm! Interesting timing: HS outbreaks typically happen at Easter and Valentines when excess chocolate is consumed. I haven't read the thread, so this may be redundant, but are you supplementing with Lysine? It is an essential amino acid that we make from other amino acids and a chem in chocolate blocks the body's ability to make this conversion, resulting in Lysine deficiency and the opportunity for the HS's to overgrow. If you are vegan or even vegetarian, you need to seriously balance your protein intake. If not, you need to support your immune system. There is a great deal of information on the web about how to boost immunity and balance the body for optimal health; this would heal and prevent these outbreaks. No standard MD is going to do anything other than throw bandaid meds at you; you need to go much deeper.

The major consideration for our immune system is the gut; you need to be taking pre- and pro-biotics to begin healing and addressing your diet and environment to address your system failure.

In Native culture, we use anti-viral medicine that is simple and free. Dunno if you have flat or white cedar in AL, but that is what we use as a tea. You can use the needles and fans of any pine tree as a strong anti-viral. Just boil a large amount in clean water until the oil floats on top. Strain and drink sweetened - pref with a natural sweetener. Best to you.
