I came up with this new recipe for a soothing lotion after reading various sources, especially cures reported by Earth Clinic contributors.
I was spurred into action when a third outbreak started in less than 6 weeks. Relief was almost immediate, and much better by morning after a bedtime application. By the second morning there was minor swelling but no stinging or burning at all. I waited a few weeks before sharing my good news, because I wanted to be sure of the effect. At the time of writing, I've been symptom-free for 45 days. I hope this suggestion can help ease the suffering of anyone able to give it a try.
CAUTION: Licorice can cause issues such as heart palpitations for some people, so please check with the doctor or pharmacist if you have a chronic health problem or are taking prescription medication
The lotion I made was thin enough to store in a squeezable or pump dispenser bottle but I found it most convenient to use a wide necked container, using a clean plastic spoon or narrow wooden spatula to scoop some out each time. Before use, bathe the affected area with baby shampoo or warm salt water, rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a paper towel. Wash your hands before and after applying the lotion. All homemade creams and lotions are best stored in the refrigerator, and you'll benefit from the cooling effect with this one especially.
The recipe produces a decent amount so if you get fast initial results, you can continue to use it at least twice a day morning and evening until it's finished to stave off further outbreaks. I recommend using a panty liner to protect against stains.
Recipe as follows:
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons Distilled Water
- 1 teaspoon Liquid Sunflower Lecithin
- 2 capsules Vitamin B3 (Niacin)
- 1 teaspoon Licorice Root Powder*
- 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil
- 5 drops Garlic oil**
- 5 drops Oregano oil
- Optional: a pinch of food grade Borax
Equipment
(make sure everything is thoroughly clean/sterilised)
- 2 small pans or heatproof bowls
- Spatula or small balloon whisk
- Measuring spoons
- Strainer, fine mesh
- Suitable storage container
- Funnel, if needed to transfer to container
Method:
Gently heat the coconut oil, add the licorice root powder and allow to infuse for at least an hour, preferably longer. You should see the oil darkening in colour from the licorice root. In a separate container, heat the distilled water, remove from heat and add the Lecithin, stirring until dissolved. Add the contents of the B3 capsules and Borax. Stir until thoroughly combined. Strain the coconut oil into the container with the water based mix, then add the garlic and oregano oils and blend by whisking vigorously until a creamy lotion is produced. Cover and store in the refrigerator. Optionally adding Borax helps to act as a preservative, so it should be possible to store in a cool dark place for up to 4 days, should you need to travel etc.
WARNING: If you share your refrigerator with others, please be super careful with labeling, storage etc - this lotion looks a lot like a creamy pudding!
You can substitute Lavender or Rose water for Distilled water.
*Half a teaspoon of Licorice Root Extract can replace 1 teaspoon Licorice Root Powder, just add it to the water along with the B3 and Borax.
Lecithin granules might work, I've not used them, but they would need to be dissolved completely. Soy is contra-indicated as a potential precursor in many comments I've read about Herpes, so Sunflower Lecithin is definitely preferable.
** I add any leftover cloves of peeled garlic to use later to a jar, cover with extra virgin oilve oil and store in the fridge. The oil makes a wonderful healing salve for minor cuts or burns. If you can't find garlic oil, try my method but use a teaspoonful.

My doctor told me that 40% of adult Americans have Herpes 1 or 2. You are definitely not alone, but I remember how I felt when I found out. Just FYI, I was told that if you have one type, you probably won't get the other. I got type 2 from my ex-husband, but my current husband has type 1. However, we are careful anyway.

Try Madison Cavanaugh's protocol with 35% solution Hydrogen Peroxide. Read her book titled "one minute c--e". It works! I had HSV2 and broke out with it once a month for over three years until I discovered Madison's book.

I have been experiencing vaginal herpes for over five years now and used to use prescription drugs to heal such as Valtrex. Since then I have discovered that borax has healed them with the use of some petroleum jelly a pinch of hydrogen peroxide and approximately 1/4 tsp borax. Obviously, depending on the amount of the break out more would be needed. I am so happy not to use Valtrex anymore due to effects that if can cause overtime to the liver. I also do not currently have health insurance so it is very cost effective. Plus not going to a doctor to discuss my personal issue has helped greatly.
Just wanted to share in case this could help someone else who may have the same issue. :)

I tried many remedies, but recently I decided to use a multi-pronged approach to the problem. Every time I would have an outbreak, I took massive doses of vitamin C, including a lypospheric vitamin C that gets into the system very quickly (expensive, but worth it) and plenty of plain old ascorbic acid spaced throughout the day. I also took a pricey beta glucan supplement (1 or 2 doses per day on empty stomach), olive leaf extract (2 doses per day), egg yolk lecithin (1 dose per day), lauricidin (potent form of lauric acid - 2 to 3 doses per day), oil of oregano capsules (2 doses per day) and red marine algae (2 doses per day). I would also stay home and mix up some liquid oil of oregano with some good quality castor oil and put this all over my pubic area and leave it on. Even though taking all these things didn't immediately stop outbreaks, I could tell that the virus was getting weaker and weaker. You can't really attack the virus itself very effectively until it shows itself with symptoms and attempts to replicate. I think the real kicker was when I ordered some very potent oil of oregano that comes from Greece. Ever since my last round of using all the anti-virals, plus diluting the Grecian oregano oil with castor oil and putting it on the pubic area for a day or two in a row, I have been outbreak free. I also tested the waters by eating lots of peanut butter, chocolate, coconut (coconut flesh, not oil, is high in arginine), drinking alcohol, coffee, red wine, basically any and everything that could possibly trigger an outbreak - and nary a tingle! All you that are suffering out there and feeling hopeless - I tell you - it is possible to overcome this virus!!!! Don't give up. Any of the products I mentioned here can be purchased from Amazon.
The Greek oil of oregano takes time (about 6 or 8 weeks) to get to the states, but it is cheap. The beta glucan is about 75 a bottle, but I haven't even had to use a whole bottle of it yet. The lypospheric vitamin C is 30 a box for 30 packets. The other supplements are more moderate in price, I think. And plain old drugstore vitamin C is not expensive. Just be persistent and consistent. You can overcome this. Take as much vitamin C in ascorbic acid form as your system can tolerate. And pay attention to the directions for taking any of these supplements - some MUST be taken on an empty stomach in order to work properly (lypospheric vitamin C and beta glucan, for example) and some work better when taken with food. The lecithin and the lauricidin are excellent for lipid coated viruses - helps destroy that lipid barrier and then the other supplements can go to town on the virus.

Coconut oil helps applied directly. ACV burns but dapping the spots with it will help. Antibacterial, viral, anti fungal...as is coconut oil, oregano oil...not sure which of the others, maybe almond?

I have been taking lysine 3,000mg daily and also have been putting lysine ointment on my lips. For my first breakout I just had genital ulcers nothing showed up in my face but just felt this tingling sensation. But, I applied daily the lysine ointment to prevent anything from coming out, and till now it seemed to work. I would like to know, if you have hsv2 how likely is it to get it on the lips or face? This is extremely a concern for me. What else can I implement in care routine to prevent the breakout specially on my lip area.

After trying all the possible remedies the only one that avoids an outbreak at the first sign in my that I have a very resistant strain is manuka honey mgo 80 osea de 30. I put it 2 times a day and use a sanitary napkin to avoid embarrassment and the sore does not come out. I do it 3 days in a row late and night. It is better than the antiviral and it is not necessary to take it if this does abort the outbreak. I had tried oils, lysine, lecithin, hydrogen peroxide, apple vinegar, sabila, monolaurin, ganoderma fungus, multivitamins, valtrex, acyclovir, bach flowers, prunella.
Try this and share it. It does not cure definitively but it naturally avoids an outbreak to the first symptoms and does not need to take antiviral.

Anywho, as my family and work life grew, so did the frequency of outbreaks. They were coming at minimum, every month, sometimes 2-3 times a month. They never spread into big patches, always just a blister or a few, but the regularity and size-to-pain ratio is what finally made me think “God, please don't tell me I have herpes” and I got checked. Yep. I had got it.
I knew I wasn't going on antivirals so I started taking lysine, vitamin C, and oregano. It helped a lot, reducing the severity of outbreaks and even stopping them, but I found myself mega doses of lysine, like 3k-8k mg, when I felt one coming on, especially when it would cone aggressively and stubbornly.
I then began to hear about a rare number of people messing their kidneys up with lysine and stopped taking it right away. I had a short period when the outbreaks reduced greatly and I didn't see one for months. Then they slowly crept back. I tried tea tree oil which is supposed to help, the problem was, if not diluted properly, due to its strength, it can irritate the skin causing temporary damage, which actually allows the virus to come through and then the skin is too irritated to use anything else. With now five kids and a spouse (who's never shown signs of having it), the stress of an outbreak and me contaminating our home was horrible. Sitting in a meeting wondering if people could see my discomfort on my face was terrible.
Not wanting to get back in lysine, and not wanting to use irritating essential oils, I decided to try peroxide. I was worried it would burn me up, but surprisingly it didn't. I would get that tingle or itch or vibrating nerve feeling and apply peroxide. Magically I wouldn't get an OB. I've been doing this for over six months and no outbreak has come through.
Here's my routine that always works for me:
1. Peroxide. Using a spray bottle (you can find a peroxide spray at grocery store or in-line and use regular peroxide bottles to refill.) spray on a baby wipe or directly and dab any area that itches, tingles, and any genital area that ever had a breakout. Do this after using the restroom or even if you feel one coming on.
2. If you nice any irritation at all, add virgin coconut oil to this. You can rub some on a baby wipe and then spray it with peroxide. This blends it in your skin perfectly. You can even do this with no irritation, it just adds an extra step.
3. If you have a particularly aggressive threat of an outbreak, one that doesn't seem to want to let off, hit the shower. Even if you've already had one that day. Spray your whole genital area with the hottest water you can handle down there. Front and back. This kills the shedded virus on the skin and virus close to the skin that's still in the nerves and often chases it away. When you're done drying off, follow 1. And 2.
Keeping your genital area clean, front and back, is super important. My doctor, who is also a good buddy from college, said one of the biggest outside influences to an outbreak is being unclean and/or sweaty. Bacteria and sweat seem to make a happy environment for an OB. So even when you don't want to, shower the bastards off of you.
Try not to stress. When you feel the signs, inhale deep, and exhale. You'll be fine! Just try my tips!
I would go into dietary changes, but for me, what I eat doesn't seem to matter. I've been on a fully lysine diet, outbreaks. I've done high arginine diets, no increase in outbreaks. So this is a personal decision, and should be based on how diet affects your OBs.
This isn't a cure, but it sure beats drugs and for me, this has worked 100% of the time, coming from someone who was getting multiple outbreaks a month.
Best of luck.
Can you give us an update if hypericum has kept you both breakout free? Did you or Ali ever get tested? I have so many questions. My life is controlled by this horrendous disease. I just ordered hypericum from Biogetica. Can you tell me exactly what (else) you took? Were you on a certain diet? I would pay good money to speak with either of you guys. I've been trying for 4 years to get rid of this stupid disease. I am so desperate. Thank you for your reply!

I read various forums and found some people that had used it reported favorable results, some that even claimed that it cured them, and some reported that they didn't get good results. I figured that if it worked for some people it was worth a try for me. It seems to affect everyone a little differently.
HSV seems like a difficult virus to beat as it's quite resilient, so I hit it hard with the 35% hydrogen peroxide and eventually worked up to 25 drops 3x daily for 6 months in distilled water. I tried to eat as healthy as possible during this time, even eating a raw diet for about 3 months. After the 6 months of 25 drops a day 3x daily, I continued on lower maintenance doses for another 3 months. I wasn't super disciplined about the keeping the dose consistent, it was roughly 5-10 drops 3x daily, eventually tapering down to zero.
Since then, March 1, 2020, I have taken no medication or even supplements. I haven't had any breakouts, and I drink coffee all day, beer, and sometimes eat all kinds of junk food. I've had pizza, fries, you name it. I haven't gotten retested, but I haven;t had any issues for months now, so I'm going to see if it continues. I feel like it worked, because I had tons of issues previously.
I've come to believe that there are many suppressed cures/treatments. Other than 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide that worked for me, there is the also the Bob Beck blood electrocution therapy, MMS/sodium chloride, which is a lot stronger than 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide, intravenous ozone, vitamin B17, Laetrile, and others.
I wouldn't recommend the particular protocol that I used unless you research 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide first because it's a bit extreme. Please do your own research about safe protocols. I was at such a low point in my life that it was worth it to me to risk possible side effects if I could possibly be cured.
For the record I didn't experience any side effects except for minor discomfort from taking 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide on an empty stomach, and a little scratchiness in my throat. This protocol is hard to do at first, but then becomes routine, and for me it was well worth it and a hug blessing. My life was a living hell and now it's normal again. I thank God that I found out about 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide and suppressed cures.
Please feel free to ask me questions. I hope that you all succeed in your journey to beat this as I did.
People would like to be able to speak freely of their experiences with Synergy protocol away from medical dogma.
