Black walnut Tincture.

I struggled with Herpes 2 outbreaks almost monthly until I went to a kinesiologist who prescribed Blackwalnut Tincture. It's now been about 15 years since my last outbreak so either it went into total remission or I have been cured completely. I really hope this works for others. I took it internally (you can't take BW for too long) and I cannot remember what my dose was but I don't think I took it for a particularly long time. (6-8 weeks?) You can also apply it topically on any sores. I really hope this helps anyone struggling with outbreaks.

Relief from repeated GH flare-ups

I came up with this new recipe for a soothing lotion after reading various sources, especially cures reported by Earth Clinic contributors.

I was spurred into action when a third outbreak started in less than 6 weeks. Relief was almost immediate, and much better by morning after a bedtime application. By the second morning there was minor swelling but no stinging or burning at all. I waited a few weeks before sharing my good news, because I wanted to be sure of the effect. At the time of writing, I've been symptom-free for 45 days. I hope this suggestion can help ease the suffering of anyone able to give it a try.

CAUTION: Licorice can cause issues such as heart palpitations for some people, so please check with the doctor or pharmacist if you have a chronic health problem or are taking prescription medication

The lotion I made was thin enough to store in a squeezable or pump dispenser bottle but I found it most convenient to use a wide necked container, using a clean plastic spoon or narrow wooden spatula to scoop some out each time. Before use, bathe the affected area with baby shampoo or warm salt water, rinse thoroughly and pat dry with a paper towel. Wash your hands before and after applying the lotion. All homemade creams and lotions are best stored in the refrigerator, and you'll benefit from the cooling effect with this one especially.

The recipe produces a decent amount so if you get fast initial results, you can continue to use it at least twice a day morning and evening until it's finished to stave off further outbreaks. I recommend using a panty liner to protect against stains.

Recipe as follows:

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Distilled Water
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid Sunflower Lecithin
  • 2 capsules Vitamin B3 (Niacin)
  • 1 teaspoon Licorice Root Powder*
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut Oil
  • 5 drops Garlic oil**
  • 5 drops Oregano oil
  • Optional: a pinch of food grade Borax

Equipment

(make sure everything is thoroughly clean/sterilised)

  • 2 small pans or heatproof bowls
  • Spatula or small balloon whisk
  • Measuring spoons
  • Strainer, fine mesh
  • Suitable storage container
  • Funnel, if needed to transfer to container

Method:

Gently heat the coconut oil, add the licorice root powder and allow to infuse for at least an hour, preferably longer. You should see the oil darkening in colour from the licorice root. In a separate container, heat the distilled water, remove from heat and add the Lecithin, stirring until dissolved. Add the contents of the B3 capsules and Borax. Stir until thoroughly combined. Strain the coconut oil into the container with the water based mix, then add the garlic and oregano oils and blend by whisking vigorously until a creamy lotion is produced. Cover and store in the refrigerator. Optionally adding Borax helps to act as a preservative, so it should be possible to store in a cool dark place for up to 4 days, should you need to travel etc.

WARNING: If you share your refrigerator with others, please be super careful with labeling, storage etc - this lotion looks a lot like a creamy pudding!

You can substitute Lavender or Rose water for Distilled water.

*Half a teaspoon of Licorice Root Extract can replace 1 teaspoon Licorice Root Powder, just add it to the water along with the B3 and Borax.

Lecithin granules might work, I've not used them, but they would need to be dissolved completely. Soy is contra-indicated as a potential precursor in many comments I've read about Herpes, so Sunflower Lecithin is definitely preferable.

** I add any leftover cloves of peeled garlic to use later to a jar, cover with extra virgin oilve oil and store in the fridge. The oil makes a wonderful healing salve for minor cuts or burns. If you can't find garlic oil, try my method but use a teaspoonful.

Cimetidine

Take cimetidine (Tagamet) 200mg 2tabs twice/day for 3 days to halt a herpes outbreak. It's most effective at the beginning of a flare up but has some effect even later on. This is an OTC med that can be purchased at any Walgreens or Walmart for heartburn but it also boosts the bodies production of interferon. It is not a long term solution. I have used this many times on my own herpes infection (including shingles, herpes simplex type 2) and on my granddaughter's ocular herpes with nerve involvement around the eye and scalp. It works. She was hospitalized at 5 yrs old with ocular herpes and put on morphine for pain, but it was cimetidine that calmed the herpes and she has taken cimetidine (pediatric dose) at the onset of further symptoms for 3 days as described above. She is now 12 and has had no further serious herpes pain/episodes that this couldn't suppress. (I found this remedy while researching chemo treatments several years ago.)

Lecithin

Lecithin works. There is a post here on Earth Clinic about killing the virus with lecithin. You should be able to find it without much trouble. I tried everything. Nothing worked. I bought liquid lecithin but couldn't get it down so I now take three capsules two to three times a day. They are large, you may be able to buy smaller pills if that's a problem. I have had one outbreak in nine months and that was early on. When that happened I opened a pill and put the lecithin directly on the two sores. They have never come back. I was constantly have outbreaks, one after another. Miserable to say the least. Thank God for lecithin. It is the only thing that has worked for me. I still take it daily. I hope you consider giving it a try. I'm at peace after twenty years of misery.

I have found something even better. My last outbreak was a BAD one. I had a high fever because of it. I immediately went to the kitchen and took one tablespoon of l-lysine powder mixed with one teaspoon of vitamin c powder and a tablespoon of genuine new Zealand manuka honey mixed into a Luke warm half cup of purified water.

Made a turmeric, chicken and vegetable soup which is all I ate for the next three days and made up a small mixture of manuka honey, turmeric and vitamin c paste which I then slathered on to my entire vagina, I used a sanitary pad to stop the honey leakage and put on black pants (this stuff stains), laid a towel down and put myself to bed for the day while I ate bowls of turmeric, chicken and vegetable soup.

My soreness was completely gone by morning and by the next day I couldn't even tell I'd had an outbreak.

I was amazed. I've suffered for 10+ years, every outbreak lasting 7-12 days.

And now, thanks to my tireless research and trials, I have put together ingredients that cleared my outbreak within 24 hours.
I hope this helps someone.

Zinc

Genital Herpes - Having had this virus for many years and under treatment by my doctors I decided to try natural approaches since you have to have a break from the meds. I was on acyclovir which just suppresses the viruses and it's a lot of tablets and rather embarrassing carrying them everywhere. I tried Lysine which did not help and various vitamins and eventually was taking vitamin C and Zinc daily which seemed to help.

I've since discovered taking zinc regularly 10-15mg a day I didn't have breakouts for my longest time ever. My tummy gets sensitive so I do miss days but if I ever feel a tingle I take a double dose of Zinc that day and it completely goes away. I have a hectic lifestyle and under stress this has helped me a lot.

One other thing I do is cut out sweet/sugary foods and drinks and have these occasionally. I mostly drink 1-1.5 litres of water a day, to keep my body PH good/alkaline. I do drink alcohol, and now try to have days off allowing my body time to recover as this affects my Ph balance. Too much refined sugar and lack of sleep guarantees a tingle for me.

The Zinc is my solution since I rarely take vitamin C now and I feel fine without it. I hope it works for you.

Oregano Oil

Just wanted to share my success story with oregano oil to give others hope as it really is key in fighting off this nasty problem. Mind you, the post will be a bit long.

I hooked up with my ex-boyfriend of one and a half years before he moved away for school. One night. Bad idea. I had of course imagined he had been seeing other people since we weren't together, but I never, EVER expected to contract STIs from him. He left me with both genital herpes and genital warts.

Now I also have had gastroinestinal problems since the age of 13, and it has left my immune system in horrible condition. I cannot stress how bad my outbreaks were. Every single one lasted for a minimum of three and a half weeks. I'd be clear for 3-4 days, then it would return again. Each outbreak was just as bad--if not worse--than the last. There would always be a period where the pain and itching was so severe that I was unable to walk. The warts were equally bad, and anytime I had them removed, they'd be back within a single week of the skin healing over. This went on for about 10 months, and it was definitely the worst period of my life. The emotional suffering is really the worst part of it all.

From my very first herpes rash I had begun taking mass amounts of supplements. Olive leaf extract, bitter melon, andrographis, echinacea, astralagus, ginger, Lysine, red marine algae, monolaurin, coconut oil... You name it, I've tried it. Even acupuncture and chinese herbs. It didn't seem to do much of anything. Applying tea tree oil, propolis, or melissa oil on the rash burned like hell, and would help with the pain and itching temporarily but the outbreaks were still just as long. One particular outbreak, I remember not taking anything, just to see what would happen. The rash persisted for nearly 7 weeks. Sorry for rambling but I really want to emphasize how bad my condition was.

I hadn't tried the oregano oil, as it was pretty expensive. I read that it tasted bad and I'm a total wimp. Can't even take cough medidcine I'm so sensitive to taste. On top of that, I believed my doctor when he told me there was no cure so I thought the whole Cure in a Cupboard thing was just a scam. One day I just decided why not give it a try, I've already thrown thousands down the drain in supplements so another couple hundred won't hurt.

Orderd super strength in a small bottle. Begun with the protocol, which was 5 drops under the tongue twice daily. At first, I had to do it in 1 or 2 drops at a time. My eyes would water and my mouth would start salivating like crazy from the burn, but it was by no means unbearable. Hold it under the tongue for as long as you can then wash it down with water. Over time, I increased my dosage. I had no bad side effects, but I believe that was due to me taking the olive leaf extract everyday. I got INSANE die-off reaction the first time I took that stuff, I was shaking with chills and fever and vomitting for 3 days with OLE.

As a side note, I read somewhere that a small bottle lasts you a long time. It barely lasted 2 weeks for me! Buy the bigger one if you're going to try it. I started upping it to 5 drops under the tongue 3 times a day within about 2 weeks. After a month, 4 times a day. Usually 8-10 drops. Experts can't seem to agree on a safe dosage for this stuff so just work your way up slowly. For the first 2 months of taking it, I noticed no improvement in my state. I got discouraged, but I remembered reading that it takes 1-3 months to heal so I stuck to it.

Just past the 2 month point, I suffered from the worst outbreak I have ever had. It covered a massive area, my genitals and it even went down a bit into my anal area. It was bright red. I remember crying myself to sleep one night the pain was so severe. But something surprising happened. It cleared up in about 8 days. That was the shortest outbreak I have ever had, and it was also my last.

That was 2 months ago, and to this day, I still have not had another outbreak. Oregano oil has been a miracle worker for me. I know a lot of people are going to question it being healed without a DNA test. I've gotten a few done in the first stages of my infection, and even though I was 100% positive I had genital herpes my tests would come back negative. (Both blood test and a swab of a lesion) So doctor's tests aren't as reliable as you may think.

I don't need a test to tell me I'm cured, I know I am. I continued to take the oregano oil for a full 4 months. Not one day did I miss a dosage, as I was completely determined to rid myself of this virus. My advice to you is to try it. And take it in LIQUID under the tongue if you want results!!! Best way to get it absorbed into your bloodstream. I'm no doctor, just an average 21 year old girl that suffered from the same problem as everyone else on this board. If it worked for me, I'm sure it can work for someone else. I wish good health and best of luck to all of you.

Lecithin

I tried Lecithin. A Bechtel engineer who worked at a laboratory when he was younger told me that they grew the herpes virus. They used Lecithin to control and kill the herpes virus. He saw the herpes breakout on my face one day at work. He told me to take 2500 mg each day for a month. I asked him why he hasn't come forward with this information. He said that the FDA was too powerful to fight.

It worked for me. I haven't had a breakout in 20 years.

As I understand it, hospitals use Lecithin based baby formulas on new born babies born to women with genital herpes.
