I have used a anti-fungal cream from my doctor for years for genital herpes. It's highly effective and usually clears up the sores in less than a week. I also use topical 3% H202 solution applied with a cotton ball. Though they say herpes is a virus, the anti-fungal cream works best for me instead of drugs. RH

I have had Herpes 1 and 2 for about 5 years. I take L-Lysine with Garlic and Red Marine Algae. Both of these together have helped to combat my outbreaks. I notice they are less frequent too. When I start to feel the beginning signs of an outbreak (tingling, etc) I take 2 Super L-Lysine and 1 Red Marine Algae. I will take these once a day until the outbreak is gone (about 2-3 days). Sometimes it stops the outbreak in it's track. Thanks!

Hey, have u tried Stabilized Liquid oxygen, (SLO)? You have to change diet and others have testified it has worked. The key is to get your body to be alkaline. There are other steps to take such as change in diet etc.

Hi, I just wanted to verify if the Oil of Oregano actually cured your HSV2 Virus or is it just maintaining the outbreak? Basically are you virus free now? Did you go back to the doctor to have test done to see if it is still in your system, the reason that I ask is b/c I was told that there is no cure and that you live with it for the rest of your life. I have been plauged with sores on my lips since getting kissed in high school by a guy who had a sore (I remember noticing it but didn't know what it was). I tried every prescribed medication but never really found relief, especially after the sore erupted. I have to agree with Newhope, this really gave me some encouragement. I have walked around feeling guilty and ashamed knowing what I have ever since I found out. I was diagnosed with HSV-1 but feared that I also had 2. I've had outbreaks and looked on google images to compare my symptoms and the sheer terror of what I found probably didn't help! I told my partner about my results with a heavy heart and she took the news pretty well. I still worry abput things getting much worse but I had no idea about natural remedies. I have been at a point where I don't want to go through life like this anymore but after reading all of these posts I feel like there is hope for us. I'm still not sure how to talk openly about my concerns with my partner about preventing outbreaks. It's a shameful conversation to have even though it's a one we have had small talks about. Any tips?

I am 53 and have had our little problem since age 23. I have learned to live with it. Taken ZrX prescribed by my doctor years ago. I went many years without anything happening. After my divorce I started seeing somebody that I respect more than anything in this world. The last person I wanted to tell. The first person I should've told.
So far all is well and I go through very hard times explaining I just cannot at times. I must say, life has been very hard. Weeping, I used Oregano Oil every which as prescribed on the internet for 18mos to no avail of my HSV-2. Though my HSV-1 was eradicated in less than 9mos. My starting IgG score for HSV-1 was 2.45. My last IgG score for HSV-2 at the end of the Oregano Oil experience had gone up to 14.5! I've found anyone eradicated of Herpes had an IgG score of <3. A score of 5> is high.

I have had lesions for three days now painfully becoming worse, funny part is if this is the herpes virus it has remained dormant in my system for a long time. I have gotten checked and am waiting for results, I was prescribed anti bacterial medication along with cream but knowing herpes is a virus I am positive if it isn't bacterial infection they won't work. I just used ACV on all my lesions and am in a little bit of pain from the stinging. Will definitely update tomorrow on progress and test results. Wish me luck and thank you for this remedy!

I have had GH for many years,but usually an outbreak only 2 or 3 times a decade. Upon moving to Indonesia, my outbreaks increased to 5 or 6 a year. After racking my little brain, the only thing I do different here is use SOY OIL for cooking.
Any imput or ideas,from anyone?
I have found that fresh Aloe Vera, both orally and topigraphicaly, seem to have an immediate effect, healing sores, burning, and the funky overall feeling.
I will change my cooking oil,but again, any ideas would be welcome.

I have found aloe vera gel to be very effective at healing sores usually overnight or in a day or two - apply several times a day if possible. L-Lysine as a pill also helps me as does L-lysine cream applied topically. Lemon balm cream also helps. Lemon balm TEA helps oral sores. Lemon balm is a known herpicide, tho I don't see it on this site.

ok i havnt tried anything yet, except zovirax, it works ok most of the time. i usully breakout one my back side top of my butt cheek, usually on the left, i have been reading your articles here im confused. please tell me what to get to cure my genital herpes or greatly suppress it. PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE TELL ME!!!!!!!!!. I have had this for 23 years, i would give my left nut to get rid of it. I tend to break out now if i get too hot. Like riding in a hot car if the seat is hot. It seems the heat causes me to break out, cause my butt is right against the hot seat.

I was diagnosed with GH almost 6 years ago I tell u it was the worst thing that could happen to me,because the person knew he had it and infected me on purpose, yeh sure I should have let him give me oral, but I was caught up in the moment like many of you,This bastard ruined my life,I tried to get the health dept to stop him,who knows how many women he infected? I was too embarassed to call the police, I will never forget that outbreak, sores itching,being mesirable,I was on Valtrex but that made me sick do I stopped,6 years later no outbreaks at all,everbody is different, not a sore or lesion, some stings sometimes, but I go about my buisness, I think mentally Im coming along, Im 39 so at 33 when this happens and my baby was almost 3 then it was HARD to deal with,clinic visits, the doctors treated me like a leper, I would never think to give this to anyone, NEVER, I was seeing someone who knew, it was good at first but it didnt work out, oh well, if someone comes along I will always be honest, its my disease not theirs,That creep who gave it to me will get his whereever the Coward is, keep your heads up it will be ok!!!

For men who have genital herpes outbreaks I have developed a system for applying a small apple cider vinegar compress to the affected area on the penis. I go the 99 cent store and buy small condoms that are too small to use when having sex. However, they are the perfect tension to keep the apple cider vinegar compress (either cotton pad or viva paper towel) on the penis herpes in order to work its magic.

This is an update from Michele in Waterbury. After taking BHT daily for three years, which was successfully managing my Genital Herpes outbreaks, I started having digestive problems. Constant gas, discomfort, bloating, intolerence of wheat and hemorrhoids. I read on this site that if you have hemorrhoids, you have a yeast infection in your gut. I am wondering if the daily dosing of BHT caused an im-balance in my gut and that now I have an overpopulation of yeast in my gut. I had to stop the BHT, and am treating the gut yeast infection with raw garlic and pre-biotics. I feel much better, but I can see that it will take some time to get back to normal. If I stop the raw garlic, the symptoms return. Since BHT is a preservative that kills bacteria, I think it killed off the good bacteria in my gut. Anyone else having gut problems?
I am treating the Genital Herpes with a prescription anti-viral. Just wanted to let people knonw, that if you are treating GH with BHT, and experiencing digestive problems, it may just be the BHT.

If you are having gut issues, likely could be unrelated to BHT, an epidemic of allergies especially gluten, soy, and corn are snowballing because of GMO changes in recent years.

Thanks for sharing about the digestive issues. With this recent outbreak, I've had a loss of appetite, diarrhea, indigestion, some nausea and nothing food-wise appeals to me. Generally, when having a breakout, I feel literally sick and extremely fatigued. This time the symptoms are worse so I'm wondering if it's the BHT. I've stopped all supplements to see if I feel better and if some of the digestive symptoms leave. This is a horrible disease.

I just found out last week that I tested positive for HSV-2. I have been looking at internet information for a cure. I do believe there is actually a cure out there because all things are possible. I am looking for a cure not a outback treatment. The doctor says it is a life time disease but I don't believe such a thing. 1) Is there someone that has actually re-tested with negative result? 2) What was you cure regiment? 3) How long did it take you to rid yourself from the disease? I understand that diet, exercise, and herbs, low stress, spiritual balance will help in immune system health. I have heard of people being cured AIDS, so I know herpes can be cure. If anybody can actually help let me know. Remember responses for cures not just outbreak treatments. I know there are real people that have been actually cured out there. Hi David from Atlanta. I was tested positive for HSV-2 just last July 2008. I have experienced a day or 2 rest for a 5 month long continuous outbreaks and I was so desperate and looked everywhere for relief, remedy and cure. I have tried a lot of suggested medicines, home remedies etc., that was listed in this very helpul site. But as weeks go by, I have discovered a herbal drink from Philippines that was a very big help to this disease. For your info, I have a very weak immune system and I think if someone with a normal or much stronger immune system than mine, I guess taking this drink would be more effective. I saw the changes and progress of my immune system after i drank the first 2 sachets. It's called _____, it's quite known now in the Philippines, for it has cured a lot of sickness and diseases, and as for my HSV-2... i don't know if it has cured me, but it did gave me hope and still think strong of my future. I have a friend who sells this in Thailand, and in Manila.
To support more for my body's defenses, I drink 2 cups of GreenTea everyday, as this is equivalent to 8 apples, which has more vitamin C than citrus. I take Centrum, 1000mgs VitC, 400IU VitE.. yeah! it's not hard, it's just that my immune system is very weak so I just have to find more support. Of course, nothing is possible without the help of God, a prayer full of faith.

QUESTIONS FOR TED:
1. Do you think using rubbing alcohol to fight herpes is a good idea or do you feel that it is a harmful chemical for the body?
2. I have continuous breakouts...FOR YEARS. I mean I pretty much NEVER go without some sign of a break out (Genital herpes...and it breaks out only on my lower back and buttocks region). This is driving me crazy. Do you feel that I cannot use honey or black strap molasses for remedies. Also, when a new breakout occurs, it screws up my digestive system and causes me to have constipation.
3. Also, recently, I have been having a burning feeling in my right breast and under my rib case. Do I need a liver gall bladder cleanse? I eat quite well--lots of salads, fruits, veggies, no processed foods (however, up until a couple of years ago, I ate lots of ice cream and some other sweets--even though it made me break out.) I can't eat nuts--that really aggravates a break out--especially if combined with chocolate. I haven't been eating any sweets now--except for a little honey (up to 1 TBSP) and a little Black Strap Molasses (1-2 TBSP). It seems like if I eat the black strap molasses, I break out--which makes me mad because I like the energy from BSM and honey. I am so sick of this! I was diagnosed with this in 1998, but had a lot of nerve pain on since 1980 (primarily on one side of my body). One thing I will say is that I have less pain and flu symptoms, especially since taking the ACV.
So again, my questions are: 1. Rubbing Alcohol--good or bad? 2. Honey and BSM? 3. The burning in my right breast plate/rib area.

I have just starting taking Oregano oil everyday, so I don't know if it is working yet but I am hoping for the best. I heard about it through my stepfather he lives by the stuff (for everything). My brother also takes if to boost his immune system. He has been taking it everyday for the last 4 years and hasn't gotten sick. Therefore, I think is is safe to take on a daily base. I take 4 drops of it in the morning and 4 drops at night. I also rub it on the base of my spine since that is where the virus lives and the oil will seep in through the skin.

However, two years ago I had to be hospitalised for a stroke (not due to the madication or due to Herpes) and just after my stroke the symptoms begone to appear but not for very long in 2 to 3 days the symptoms disappeared and later I was wondering how and later I realised that I was given King Coconut to drink, later a many times when I got the symptoms I started drinking King Coconut and within a max 2 to 3 days it disappeared, sometimes if taken at the very early days of the symptoms then Herpes disappears within 1 to 2 days. Look for the King Coconut which is orange in colour this is mainly available in countries like India, Sri Lanka, Maldives etc. if not drink the one available in your country. Also for Cucumber the symptoms disappear, it cools your system, the main cause of Herpers once infected is the body heat, eat cooling things, do not eat heaty food like prawns, lobster, pork or anything heaty, prawns are very heaty anyone suffering from Herpes will notice the symptoms the next after eating prawns but if raw lime juice is sprinkled over prawns the possibilities are that you may see a delay in Herpes coming up.
