i read alot of remedies to remove embarrassing warts and after alot of reading i tried several things like acv 2 a day on warts i tried this every day for a week and some warts did disappeared but others did not i had some that were colored that were difficult to remove and were very itchy at times so i decided to try something different i crushed about 3-4 vitamin c tablets and added about 1 1/2 tsp of natural lemon juice mixed these two ingredients and made a paste i got a few cotton balls and soak the mixture on it then applied this to the colored warts that were more hard to remove i left this on the warts for a while about 30 min while i laid down i got to admit this stings or burns more than the acv but it is well worth it when i got up to remove the cotton ball they had stains i was a little scared but when i checked myself the warts were gone it was unbelievable! this web site is a real blessing !! i hope this info is helpfull and hope everyone stays healthy and gets better.

Jade Plant

My 8 year old daughter had a total of 17 warts of varying sizes covering her hands. Our family physician told us about a retired dermatologist acquaintance who swore by this method to remove warts. Slice the leaf from a jade plant so that the juicy succulent part is exposed. Tape or bandage it to the wart (we put it on the first wart that appeared, which was now the biggest, and had combined with one or two more warts to create this huge wart along the side of one thumb, which we called the "mother wart"). We taped the leaf on that wart only, at bedtime, for about 3 nights, and then kind of got busy, forgot, and stopped doing it. During the next week, while washing her hands, ALL of her warts had simply died and started falling off - with no sign whatsoever that any of the warts had ever existed. I've told several friends who tried it with the same results. The strange thing is that we treated only the "mother wart" - and all of them fell off at the same time. Amazing!

Bloodroot

To Char from Jarow: Hello Char, thought I'd warn you that you could get a lot of people to debate the issue with you. I agree with you that warts are not cancer, but are caused by a virus. The old folks used to tell us kids that frogs cause the warts. Later the general concensus seemed to change to state that the warts were caused by a virus, but the frogs harbored the virus. But the reason you could get into a heated debate on this issue is, that many cancers today are thought to follow having a viral infection. That said, I also will state that I have no doubt that black salve (bloodroot salve) will remove warts since it did such a fine job of removing actinic kertatosis on my back which is currently thought to be caused by too much sun exposure and a precursor to skin cancer. However, should I get any more warts, I will try the inner lining of the banana peel that EC sharers say works so well. It is much cheaper than black salve. However if the FDA succeeds in passing their little sneaky law that they tried to push through without anyone knowing about it, the CODEX law which would make all vitamins, minerals, herbals and supplements drugs and under the control of FDA and AMA and doctors which would put them out of reach without a prescription and a trip to the doctor for that prescription and that would mean $5-$l00 dollars to the doctor and probably that much or more for the newly declared drug that you wanted. Go to Mike Adams site Natural News to read more about this - also to Natural Sources or Health Freedom sites. Dr. Laibow has some interesting comments about CODEX!! This is the 3rd attempt that I can recall for the AMA trying to gain control over these things, which tells me that if they didn't work so well and so much safer than big Pharm's dangerous, expensive drugs, they wouldn't be trying so hard. They don't like losing money because you now have a choice. That may change very shortly unless more users join the battle against the FDA's action.

Blister Beetle Juice

This really isn't a home remedy but after 5 years of having planters warts my mom took me to the dermetologis and she put blister beetle juice on my warts. I saw her every three weeks. After three visits even the most stubborn wart which was about a half inch big was gone. I know it's not a home remedy but you can buy blister beetle juice off-line. Trust me, I never thought I'd get rid of my warts and I did! Try it if nothing else works. Good luck!

Bleach

First off, I've got to tell you that I tried a certain brand of all natural remedy from a website and all it did was burn my skin and cause major irritation, discomfort and bleeding. I also tried the banana peel wrap, the Castor oil & baking soda paste as well as applying household bleach with a cotton swab. The best thing that worked for me was to first vigourously apply bleach with a cotton swab to all warts and then let the bleach dry for a couple of minutes. Once dry, vigourously apply raw apple cidar vinegar with a cotton swab until you have removed all of the superficial/dead skin tissue and you can only see the warts in their plain shape. Repeat this three times daily. They'll be completely gone within about 10 days.

Voodoo Remedies for Warts

I was reading your voodoo section on warts. When I was a child, I hate an enormous wart on my wrist. My mom took me to the doctor and I had it burned off. It soon grew back to TWICE the size! I was horrified. Then my step-grandma told me to pop a vitamin E oil capsule and put that on it everyday with a bandaid and in ONE MONTH it will go away. I did it religously every night and it took my HUGE wart away, never to grow back again! I recommend it to everyone!

White Vinegar

I had a recent outburst of a vaginal wart. It looked like a raised bumpy mass and it kept on growing, fast. It got to the size of a thumbnail and raised about 1/4 inch. I did not want to use traditional medications so I saw that Apple Cider vinegar worked on regular warts. Well I had no Apple Cider vinegar, how about regular white vinegar. I soaked a q-tip in the vinegar and treated the wart directly for 10 minutes a day. After about 8 days the wart started to disappear, more and more each day. Then the area would bleed where I applied the vinegar, something was happening. As it bled the wart was disappearing. I treated the area every day until it bled. Eventually the wart was gone and a hole was there. The vinegar ate away the wart. This took about 2 weeks. If the wart threatens to come back I re-treat with vinegar for a few days, and its gone again. I hope this helps someone else.

Duct Tape

I'm not sure if this is a 100% natural remedy, but I figured since it worked for me I thought you guys might be able to post something like it on your website, so that others may benefit from it healing properties. It's called Duct Tape, LOL Yes that's right... it's the stuff used when you need to fix a seal or to keep cords in place from others tripping over. May not sound like it's of much use, but I have found it to work wonders! One of which is Warts! Ever since I was little I somehow seemed to pick up warts very easily, especially when I'm going barefoot in the locker rooms or at the swimming pool. I was getting fed up with the expensive over-the-counter topical remedies to so to say "Kill Off" or "Burn Out" the wart(s). And after going to the doctor's over and over, with the freezing methods that may require a second or third visit depending on the severity of the fungus, I began my search for something that would both be effective and inexpensive. I looked no further than the kitchen cupboard. By placing a piece of duct tape over the affected area(s) it from what I've gathered "Irritates the wart", which in turn causes your immune system to respond. I have as well as my younger sister have both tried this with outstanding results. I can honestly say that if you keep it covered with duct tape the wart(s) will be gone in as little as a couple of weeks. I figured since I've had such dramatic results from this, others may benefit from it as well. I hope that by my experience you will be able to share this among the other readers of this website. Thanks!

Glad it worked for you. You should know that warts are caused by various strains of HPV (human papilloma virus), not a fungus :-)

I'm from Calgary too though! Go Flames!

My Great-Aunt Pauline gave me an old wives tale remedy, she said to rub a potato that was starting to go bad on the wart. Then you close your eyes and throw the potato in the woods not seeing where you threw it. When the potato rots your wart will fall off. I was a kid when she told my mom and I about it, and I thought she was nuts, but it worked.

Milkweed

When I was a young girl, I had a wart on my knee. My Grandfather had me put the milk from the milkweed plant on my wart. I did this once a day for about a couple weeks. The wart disappeared and never came back!

Tomato Juice

I began getting hooked on clamato juice (tomato juice w/ clam juice in it). I have been drinking probably 4-5 glasses a day. I have about ten warts on my hands and I have noticed they have all decreased in size and some of them have already disappeared.

I have used molasses quite a bit and still have warts. What brand? Sulfured or unsulfured?

a bit of saliva on the tip of my finger every now and then has nearly caused a sebaceous wart on my forehead at the hairline to disappear. It is certainly much smaller.

Duct Tape

Probably a chemical in the tape, or the adhesive it uses.

Turmeric

I've had a wart on the bottom on my foot for 5 years. I've tried these methods to get rid of it: banana peel, duct tape, vinegar, oregano oil, over-the-counter meds, and freezing it (3 times!) by a dermatologist. For the past 4 days I've been putting a slice of fresh turmeric (and band aid) over it, once in the morning and once at night. It's almost completely gone now. Turmeric is magic. I hope this works for you, too.

Banana Peel

★☆☆☆☆

I have a wart on my knee that I have been filing down and covering with a banana peel and duct tape every night for week. I have not noticed any serious change... it bleeds when I file it down... just looks red and irritated when I remove the peel and tape. Nothing is turning black.

This is the 3rd wart I have had in my lifetime oddly all have been on my right side and each one appeared years apart... my first at age 10.. the second at age 33.. and this one at 52. The first 2 I had frozen off with liquid nitro... but my insurance is not great these days, so I am trying a more economical approach.

Apple Cider Vinegar

I've had this wart on my finger for almost a year now, I used ACV and it started turning black, the wart came off ( at least I think ) but the inside had a yellow daughter and the outer part of my skin is a light red and hurts a little. Should I continue putting ACV on it or let it go away on it's own .
