Borax, Hydrogen Peroxide, Clove Oil

I would like to thank everyone with their experience's and recommendation's. I have had this rash for approx. 10 days. I went to the ER to discover my worst fear, Scabies. I work at a Hotel and think I contracted this nasty disease there. My husband does not have any signs of the pest as of yet. After reading what permethrin is and what it can cause, and how effective it is, I became very, very scared. Apparently permethrin "use" to work but because the mites are insects and their life cycle is so short they have built up a immune to this toxic they are calling a drug.

After reading ALL posts in this forum I decided to try Borax w/H2O2. I made my bath with very hot water and added a cup of each and soaked for approx. 20 minutes. In a matter of minutes my skin stopped itching. My infestation is severe. I have a rash across my abdomen, my chest my entire back, buttocks elbows, inside and out.. Upper arms, upper things and back of my knees. I actually sat in the tub crying because I actually felt relief for the first time in 2 weeks. This disease has taken its toll on me, depriving me of sleep as many of you already know how it keeps us awake at night.

Once my skin air dried My husband applied the clove oil ( we mixed it with mineral oil, and he mixed it way to strong as it burned to the point I needed to wash it off) He is at the store now to buy more mineral oil. Its been an hour since my bath and I am itch free, my rash has even lightened up in color to a pinkish, instead of RED.

He sprinkled the Borax on the carpet (we removed our dog and cat).. Letting it sit for an hour and then vacuum it thoroughly. We plan on bleaching everything we can once he returns home, washing all bed linens and clothing.

I plan on keeping an update to this forum on my battle of this nasty pest. I hope my post provides testimony to anyone who is skeptical of using non-prescribed treatments.

Thank you again to all who posted this remedies, and god bless.

Borax, Hydrogen Peroxide, Coconut Oil

WOW at first I thought you guys were trying to see what weird crap you could get us dummys to put on ourselves. And then I got desperate at 3:00 in the morning and ran to pick up Borax, hyrd prox, and coconut oil. Oh and I got a strawberry/banana smoothie for my pain and suffering. I followed ya'lls instructions for the bath and afterward rubbed the coconut oil on. My skin looked immediately better, but I started feeling things crawl on my toes and then a few bites so I then squirted the clorox/water mixture all over my bed, around my bed on the side of the box springs and on the carpet and on me. I feel like I am at war with a micro organizm that I can not even see. I have never heard of coconut oil and what I bought was in the baking isle and looks like crisco but a taller narrower can. I thank you all for sharing your advice. I tried the apple cider vinegar first, it burned like a sun of a gun. And all they did was multiply. So, harmful or not, it seems to be working as I am not itching right now and honestly as much as I hate to hear the side affects of any medicine because then I feel like I have to make a choice of which problem will be the bigger headache, I AM SO FREAKING GLAD TO NOT BE ITCHING RIGHT NOW! I am going to snuggle up to my clorox bottle and put on my battle uniform of Pjs on and hopefully get a good night sleep thanks to all of yall!!!! So if anyone reads this and is hestitant, as God is my witness... It works!!!!! Maybe now I will get enough rest to fight this battle and win!!!

Bleach and Water

Hey everyone - the bleach and water work 100%... Not sure how good it is, but I am definitely seeing sign of improvement. I did permetherin 3 times and it didn't do much. I did Ivectermin/Stromectol and it helped.

Here is my cure:

Bed bug spray EVERYTHING -- it has permetherin in it. If you have it in your scalp use CVS 1% Lice shampoo.

Shower every night as hot as you can stand it, dry off and spray with water and bleach solution.

Spray the bed with bug spray, get in bed. Leave Window open to circulate air, fumes I am sure are not good for you.

Wake up, shower and scrub gently with a KITCHEN (yes, I said KITCHEN scrub pad to remove dead skin, and dead Scabies and whatever they leave behind), spray again. Spray everything with bug spray and bleach/water solution - wash everything daily.

After a few days you should see sign of improvement.

This has ruined my summer 2011; I have been in despair... So down over it. Cost $$$ and I have had it since the beginning of May... it's now August.

I have red marks all over my chest and upper legs, and some inside my arms. But it gets better.

God knows what all these chemicals are doing to my body, but I was desperate, I am hoping I am through the worst of it now.

Don't give up!

HELLO EVERYONE,

I have been cured of scabies for about 4 months now and feel obliged to enlighten every suffering human being of the secret. Two Words: CLOVE OIL. It can be purchased from any type of natural food store including whole foods, or online. When using it, you should probably dilute it in another type of oil, I used jojoba oil. So probably about 1 drop of clove per 2 teaspoon of jojoba. Mix it up. Rub this mixture all over the body and leave on for 15-30 minutes. Shower and make sure you have washed all of your linens and clothes beforehand with SPECIFIC DETERGENT. BORAX. ADD at least a cup and a half of borax to each load of laundry and make sure you have cleaned everything in your home or you will be reinfected. You may feel the scabies coming out or literally freaking out on your skin, like I did. They came out of tiny wholes and pretty much looked like they were suffering and eventually stopped moving after 20 minutes which is when I showered. It took me a few times to completely get rid of them, so don't feel hopeless if it doesnt work the first time. BUT IT WORKS! It took me approximately 4-5 days to completely rid them and I'm glad I did. Hopefully you guys will take my advice and no longer suffer. G-d Bless!

USE CLOVE OIL!!!! Only thing effective in killing the permithrin-resistant scabies. Better than anything else I've used, 90% cured after 1 week. 1 part clove oil, 3 parts coconut oil or olive oil. Leave on skill 24 hrs a day. Scabies and larvae coming to surface of skin get a taste and die, scabies burrowing into skin get a taste and it kills them in about 15 mins. Keep everything not just clean, but sanitized - 1/2 ounce clove oil in 32 ounce spray bottle and spray EVERYTHING you can every morning every night. Way to get rid of them is reduce the numbers every day, keep things clean, don't give up, be more tenatious than they are! Don't forget to pray and thank the Lord that He put it on my heart to post this to help you all!

Hi, can you clarify if its the Borax pesticide sold in Home Depot, or Borax soap sold in the detergent isles at the stores? Also, how old were your children, I have a toddler and want to make sure it wont damage her skin. Thanks

WORKED TEMPORARILY

I just now used the peroxide/borax solution and itching has let up. The most recent 'cure' was supposed to be clove oil - it stuns them into a stupor and they DO come back.

The silica powder, DE, just cannot accomplish the job, yet I go back to it over and over. Bleach has dessicated my skin... so there's that right along with the burrowing itch! Torment, torment, driving me to the edge.

Shocking to read of bleach or clove oil working for some and yet not for me.

It breaks my heart to think of children itching that bad.... if adults are unable to stand it - nearly going mad, ohhhh the children.

I'd like to read up on its life cycle: if we walk here, there in the house would it be their eggs we pick up on shoes/feet? How long can an egg on floor survive? Does the adult fall from our bedding and stay alive without me, the host, for days, weeks?

The Lab People who have had to get so up-close to do the studying - didn't they get the heebeejeebies figuring there's no way they're not going to get infected? Brave souls...

Update 8/19/11. Contining to use the clove oil. Going on third day of treatment and for me they are 85% gone, for my son, 90% gone! Thank God. Will continue this treatment until gone. Read that you are still contagious up to 10 days after the last bite is gone! Be careful. If you get infested again, just hurry and apply the clove oil treatment and it will not get very far. Keep up the cleaning for at least two more months to get all the eggs out of your house becaues they can cause reinfestation even a year later! Just read all the posts from people who have been there! Thank God we finally have a way to cure these.

My son is suffering from Scabies only on his face, neck, and head, so don't believe this OLD understanding of Scabies. Scabies in the US has become more verilent and resists many of the drugs dermatologists still prescribe. My husband has been treated with Scafbies for 3 weeks with these drugs and is only 10% cured. My son and I discovered the latest research on this in Austrailia about Clove oil, w hich kills the adults, larvae and eggs in 15 mins! But takes at least two weeks of continued treatment to get them all out of your body! Mix 1 part clove oil with 3 parts extra-virgin coconut oil (or olive oil) I'm using cococut oil because it has other needed benefits to keep the bites from becoming infected. After 3 days of treatment, I'm 80% cured and my son, who is paralyzed, is 90% cured! Thank God. Also read about other's experience with using clove oil at: http://www.topix.com/forum/health/scabies/THU ...

Update 8/18/2011. Just discovered last night that clove oil kills the adults, larvae, AND penetrates the eggs and kills the eggs too in less than an hour. Read the latest research on this from Australia. This was just discovered last August - go here to read about the study results http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0012079. They had a serious virilent strain of scabies that was Permithrn resistant.

My husband has been under a Dermotologist's care for 3 weeks now and he was prescribed Permithrin twice and still has only killed about 10 percent of them. Me and my son are finally getting relief from these awful things. The ratio we started with is 1 part clove oil and 3 parts coconut oil. Also, put 1/2 ounce in a spray bottle filled with water and sprayed the entire house - EVERYTHING!!! We put it on us last night and didn't feel them crawling all night, plus all day today. Tonight I notice a few, but nothing compared to the night before. I've read that when the last bite is gone and there is no more itching, you must wait 10 days after this to be considered cured. But, must keep up with keeping everything clean (new sheets every day, etc. As I indicated in my process above) for at least 3 months to prevent a reinfection. I'll keep you up to date on our progress, but for now, we are feeling like we are finally out of the worst of it! I know the Lord helped me to find the info we needed to get set free from this awful stuff, also so that I could share it with so many of you who have suffered for way to long with the disgusting stuff. God Bless!

I'd have to agree as I've contracted them through my dog having mange and doctors, vets, internet says you cannot see them.. Perhaps her child had lice, I KNOW you can see those as my nieces and nephew had them years ago and some were pretty darn big..

I'm currently treating my dog for sarcoptic mange with lime sulfur dip and myself with lice shampoo as none of the remedies on here has worked for my dog or myself. :( I tried the borax and peroxide and my dog screamed and it did help her belly a tiny bit but she is still fully infested.. I did the borax on myself and no go either.. I've tried vinegar, bleach and almost everything people suggested here with no relief, so I've had to turn to the vet and doctor even though I really didn't want all that harmful chemical on my dog or myself.. Such is life :( I've never had scabies before and it feels so gross

OMG, I'm not going to tell Bobby what I discovered this morning or he'll freak out and get more stressed out. He's doing fine and only has a few bites left, but I discovered this morning that I have literally THOUSANDS under my skin!!!! I'm trusting the Lord totally on all this as there must be a reason for it all. It's not true about what the doctors say and the stuff you read on those medical websites about Scabies - it's not that easy to cure. Even on the Mayo Clinic website. If you want to know the TRUTH about his stuff, go to https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/scabies.html and read all the horrible, disgusting stories of these poor people's experience with this. I posted my experience on there too and am continuing to update the process that I am following so that it might help others too. I don't want to talk on the phone about this as I don't want Bobby to overhear me.

Bobby initially got hundreds of bites just from those first initial 3 bites that he got from me while I was feeding him. But with the process I'm using to treat him, he was 50% better after the first day, then 75% better after the second day. Last night he only had a few spots left on his face. Thank God. I am wearing gloves at all times and long-sleeve shirt and long pants so I don't spread it to him. I was pretty confident that mine was nearly gone because I only had one bite left. Then this morning I decided to put the hydrogen peroxide all over my body just to see if there were any more hiding somewhere. My upper right leg showed thousands of little red spots, also both of my upper arms and front legs. I even had them on the tops of my hands! I freeked out. OMG. Prayed. Calmed down and just dealt with it. Now I realize that those bites that I could see on my skin where where the bugs initially burrowed into my skin. They stayed under my skin and burrowed all over like moles laying eggs everywhere!

So, I asked myself, why is Bobby doing so good and now I have this. These have probably been here all along without me knowing it becuase my process was a little different from his. The process I used was to put the hydrogen peroxide only on the bites, wait for about 5-10 mins - as long as I could stand the stinging/itching, then get in the hot shower, and clean up with peppermint soap, then cover my body with the non-itch formula (coconut mixed with tea tree oil and peppermint oil). Then resume my day and do the same thing in the evening. I wasn't putting the hydrogen peroxide on my entire body because I didn't SEE any bites. Also, I would wash off the hp in the shower. With Bobby being paralyzed, I could not wash his off, so I just left it on then put the co mixture on his entire body. THAT WAS IT!!!! I needed to keep the hp on my entire body and not wash it off. I took a video of my leg so I could show this to others who are going through this. So, I put the hp all over my body, took my shower, then put it all over my body again, then covered myself with the co mixture. This seems to be working better now, but won't know until tonight. If the red spots lesson, I'll know that I finally have the correct procedure to follow. If not, and it is worse, I'll need to call my doctor and ask her to prescribe the insecticide (Permethin) and just do it as much as I hate to have to resort to that stuff. What choice to I have. I also learned that you MUST treat your entire body, even your head, face, ears, private area - everywhere, because when you put the hp on, they freek out and look for a place to go where it is not on your skin!!!!! I'm praying that I won't have to use the Permithrin stuff, but I am getting desparate to get rid of thes awful, disgusing things. I will run out of sick time in about another week, so much find a way to get rid of these soon. Here's some good news. Yesterday I was so exhausted I didn't think I could make it through another night getting up every couple hours taking care of Bobby. Today I feel much stronger - thank the Lord. I also lost over 5 pounds so far with all the workout of taking care of B obby, constant cleaning/sanitizing everything in sight, etc. You can't beileve the toll this takes on a person. Please keep praying for us. Thanks.

DE is great, the itching was horrible and got rid of my mites/scabies in a day, was wonderful! Can't express enough how amazing this stuff is for this and other health benefits. We take Incect Dust 100% DE found it at our local garden center. Just to list a few other things it helped us with... More energy, great poops, husband has hair growing in areas that were receeding, his hair does not look as grey, He no longer has a big belly, he has lost weight, no lower back, shoulder or knee pain, have not had other pains he was taking handfuls of ibuprofen for on a daily basis, no longer taking allergy med's, no more antacids and we eat spicey foods daily, skin and nails look better and grow fast! We do not have the morning smokers cough either. Give it a try, the itching will stop and you will be soooo relieved and you'll love the other benefits too:) We are currently taking 1 to 2 Tbs of this daily and have been for 4 months now, we mix it with V8 Splash (stir well) and drink it down in a shot, rinse glass with cold water and drink what remains in the cup.

Scabies are a microscopic insect that burrow into your skin and leave marks that look like flea or misquito bites. It is very diffucult to be rid of because they are micoscopic and they reproduce rapidly. It burrows into the top layer of your skin, digs a tunnel and makes a nest using the fibers of your clothes, then it lays 1-3 eggs every day which hatch in a few days. They become larvae which then travel down the tunnel to the surface of your skin and hang onto the hair on your skin until they turn into adults a few days later, then they burrow into your skin and continue this disgusting process. If you scratch your skin, the eggs get under your nails and you tranfer them to other parts of your body very quicklty. This spreads it and makes it harder to get rid of. The adults cannot live outside your body for more than 72 hours; however, the eggs can last for years in clothes, furniture, etc. You must kill the eggs left under your skin before they hatch or you could have this stuff for years!

I was fortunate to know right away that I had Scabies because someone close to me was diagnosed and was undergoing treatment when I visited him. He told me right off that he was being treated for Scabies (didn't know what that was at the time) and that his dermatologist said that he was not contagious as long as he was undergoing the treatment, but we found this to be untrue in my case! I noticed the first itchy spots the very next day and all I did was sit on his couch for a couple hours watching a movie. Most people don't find out they have Scabies for weeks and by that time they are severely infested and so his their home, car, office, or places they frequent. This makes it more difficult to rid themselves of this horrible disgusting parasite and to prevent others from catching it. Here's what I did to get rid of it in 5 days and what I passed onto my friend, who was much more infested than me, and also was able to get rid of it completely in about 2 weeks.

Here's what you need to purchase at the store:

  • Organic apple cider vinegar (ACV) not white vinegar (1 part vinegar 8 parts water) in new clean spray bottle. Used to sterilize.
  • Hydrogen peroxide.
  • Q-tips
  • Bleach (1 part bleach 4 parts water) in spray bottle. Used to sterilize.
  • 100% peppermint oil
  • 100% tea tree oil
  • Non-itch formula (1/4 cup coconut oil with 3 drops peppermint oil and 6 drops tea tree oil). Also kills adult Scabies and their larvae.
  • A box of Borax or Baking soda sanitizes the wash.
  • Plastic mattress cover and plastic bags that can be sealed or tied shut completely. Mattress cover should cover your entire mattess (like the kind that zips up).
  • Either purchase Castle peppermint liquid soap, or put a few drops of peppermint oil in your shampoo and liquid body soap.
  • Purchase a new nylon body scrubber to wash with don't use washclothes.

Antibacterial soap to wash hands throughout the day or you can use any liquid soap with a few drops of peppermint oil. Using antibacterial soap too much will dry out your hands eventually, I found out later.

You must be deligent at all times to get rid of this horrible pest, not just for yourself, but for those you care about or come in contact with throughout the day.

1. Remember at all times that you are highly contagious and infected until ALL red spots are completely gone (about 10 days since the last spot left). DON'T EVER SCRATCH IT that's how you spread it. As soon at it itches, apply the non-itch formula, even if this means you must wake up in the middle of the night to apply the formula.

2. Don't touch or hug anyone! If you come in close contact with someone while you are infected, you MUST warn them that you are infected and that they should check themselves twice daily to see if they get bite marks, which typically show up first under their arms, on their back, or inside their thighs.

3. Clean and sterilize anything that you've touched until ALL red spots are gone! Such as: bedsheets, pillows, blankets, clothes, towels, brushes, combs, door knobs, car seat, steering wheel, office chair, toilet seats (use covers). Wash everything in hot water, add 1/4 cup baking soda or Borax to wash, and dry in hot dryer. If you can't wash it, spray it with the Apple Cider vinegar solution or dryclean it, or throw it out inside a plastic bag and put in trash outside the home.

4. To keep from having to wash bed pillows every day, I wrapped mine tightly with plastic trash bags.

5. Remove rugs from bathroom floor. If your bathroom is carpeted, cover the carpet with rugs that can be washed after every shower.

6. My daily routine was as follows:

  • Didn't do anything until I first stripped bed of sheets, pillow cases, blankets, pjs, underwear and put in them in washer right away (not in the laundry basket, but in the washer). But didn't turn on washer until I got out of shower. If you get up and go into kitchen and make coffee or do something before you do this, you may be spreading the pest to other places in your house without knowing it. So get in the shower first thing. They seem to reproduce more active during the night, thus they could be on the surface of your skin, so if you have any on your skin when you wake, you could easily transfer them to another location that you or someone else could pick up later.
  • Spray mattress and pillows (that are wrapped in plastic bags) with bleach formula.
  • Stand in shower and put hydrogen peroxide all over your body, especially on the sores. Wait 5 minutes, then shower with hot water as hot as you can stand it.
  • While in shower, first wash hands from hyrodgen peroxide - don't get in eyes, wash hair with peppermint soap (I used Castle peppermint liquid soap, but you can put a few drops of peppermint oil in any body wash or liquid soap and use this), then wash body with peppermint soap. If you shave, use throwaway shavers and don't use them more than once. Don't use peppermint soap on private areas and careful not to get in eyes, only because it stings. Use your regular soap on private areas and your regular shampoo and cream rinse after using the peppermint soap. Don't use regular soap on other areas of your body. You need to keep as much of the non-itch formula on your skin throughout the day as possible because when the larvae come to the surface of your skin and come in contact with the peppermint and also the tea tree oil, it kills them. It wears off after a few hours. The coconut oil is not only used to dilute the peppermint oil and tea tree oil, but the coconut oil also has natural antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral properties that help to keep the skin clean. The coconut oil also helps to smother the adult Scabies. I read that you can also use olive oil, but I used coconut oil because I already knew of its other benefits. I've used coconut oil for years to keep from catching colds, flu, etc. The peppermint and coconut oil are also natural exfolients that keep the skin moist and will help to keep the skin from drying out due to all the washings.
  • Before getting out of shower, spray shower wall, floor and everything in shower with the bleach formula. Get out of shower and towell off, then put the same towell on the floor and stand on this until you are ready to dress.
  • After towelling off and combing hair with pre-sterilized brush (soaked in bleach or ACV formula), apply the non-itch formula to each sore then rub it into the rest of your body all over, including the face.
  • Spray down sink, toilet, and bathroom floor with ACV solution and wipe up with same towel and put this towell in washer with bedding.
  • Put on clean clothes that have not not worn yet or that have been washed in hot water with Borax or bleach.
  • Turn on washer. Put everything in dryer and dry hot for 50 minutes (before you leave for work so that they are ready when you arrive home later).
  • Take ACV spray with you to work along with the non-itch formula.
  • Put a clean towell over car seat and then spray towel on seat and steering wheel each morning before getting into car with the ACV spray.
  • While at work, use caution. Do not touch anyone (shake hands) or exchange materials with others that you have touched. Do not scratch, apply non-itch formula to sores several times during the day and as as often as needed. Spray office chair with Apple cider vinegar solution before sitting on it. It's best if you can stay home and isolated if possible. However, I know that everyone can't do this.
  • When you arrive home, get clean towels and clothes (not those in the dryer these are for later) and repeat steps to take a shower BEFORE sitting down or touching anything don't take clean items out of dryer until AFTER you have showered. If you have to sit down on anything, put a clean towel down first, but recommend you shower as soon as you can. Don't forget to put the towel you sat on in the washer before someone else sits on it. Also, don't put dirty clothes in hamper, put them in a trash bag. If you did, spray hamper with bleach formula.
  • Now take clean bedding, pjs, etc. Out of dryer and make bed. You should be clean the rest of the night, but I also sprayed my feet with the Apple Cider vinegar spray each time before I put them into bed. Try to get up during the night to reapply the non-itch formula. Once it wears off, you can get bitten again very easily and this whole process has to start all over again!
  • Repeat this routine daily until ALL red spots are gone. Takes about 10 days after last bite is totally healed.
It's hard and exhausting, but you can win and get rid of these things if you are patient, deligent, and don't give up!

Day 1 - I started out with six sores the morning after I came in contact with infected person. I had five bites under my right arm, one under my left arm. These things are extremely itchy and when you scratch them, they hurt! When hot water hits them they string! I Began treatment later that evening (day 2), next morning I had 7 more (13 total) under left arm, under breast, inside left upper thigh and inside right leg by knee, and even one on the back of my neck. Day 3, no new ones and the first ones started to get lighter. Day 4, no new ones and first ones were almost gone. Day 5 all but two bites were almost gone. There were two that would not go away. Kept applying hydrogen peroxide could see welts around the bite area that were the eggs under the skin. Skin looked normal until I soaked the area with the hyrodgen peroxide. Eventually 2 days later they started to go away too. However, when I was still recovering from the last one, I was forced to take care of my quad son to feed him, because his caretaker had a death in the family. While I was feeding him dinner (darn it I should have worn latex gloves), he got three small bites on his neck. I treated it right away with hydrogen peroxide, but by the next morning his face, neck, shoulders, and scalp were covered with hundreds of bites! So, I covered myself up as much as possible, wore latex gloves and began treating him too. My last sore was nearly gone by now, so I thought I was ok, but I WAS NOT! My poor son. The only place he can feel is above his shoulders and the entire area is covered with bites. He can't stop scratching rubs his head and neck on his wheelchair headrest, so it is making it harder to get rid of. I let all his caretakers go and I stayed home from work to care for him. After putting the hyrogen peroxide all over his face and neck using a q-tip, they burn itch horibbly. Then applied the non-itch formula all over his body, did better. 2nd night he could actually sleep thru the night thank God. But, even though I covered myself all over while caring for him, I still woke up with a new bite on my arm! These things are so horrible and very hard to get rid of.

I recommend that you go online and read everything you can about what other people had to go through with this horrible parasite and what things they did that helped. Best site I found was www.earthclinic.com/cures/scabies.html. Don't totally trust what doctors tell you (even a dematologist) and don't waste money purchasing products created to treat this pest they aren't guaranteed and the household items I used worked fine! My friend's dermatologist did not tell him that others could get infected if they sat on his infected couch like it did! If you don't follow the above instructions, you may continue to get reinfested and end of having to take some really bad stronger medicine that could cause other major health problems. Just read others' unbelieveable stories on the internet who have been through this. Some were infected for years!

Another thing to note. My friend went to his dermatologist. The standard remedy given is to prescribe Permethrin cream, which includes a toxic synthetic chemical commonly used as a pesticide! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Permethrin#Stereochemistry. They tell you to cover your body with this stuff and leave it on ALL NIGHT! Are they kidding this chemical is banned in 40 countries but not in the USA. This chemical is known to cause cancer, seizures, and Parkinson's disease!

I am a Christian and I believe that the Lord helped me figure out how to get over this stuff quickly by 1) leading me to the treatment info I needed to get be rid of it, and 2) reminding me to be deligent about doing what needed to be done when it needed to be done and stick with it, even when it was in the middle of the night when I was dead tired and didn't want to get up and put the non-itch formula on my sores. It seems to itch the most at night. I was so, so tempted to just scratch it and go back to sleep. I thank God He helped me through this so that my son and I could be free of it and not infest anyone else. I pray that my journal and instructions help someone else get free from these awful things. Hang in there, pray, trust the Lord and He will get you through it!

Found out later that you DO NOT want to put the bleach on your skin. Causes the adult to burrow deeper into your skin. Use the hyrogen peroxide - works better at killing them inside their tunnels - the eggs too.

Clove Oil

I erraticated my scabies infection with clove oil alone in a period of 3 days. It's important to skin test it first after dilutting 10 drops to a cup of grapeseed/olive oil first. Specially on open wounds.

If one can work up to a high mix of clove oil which feels like a burning sensation, and leave this on for 15 minutes and wash off after, it will promtly kill all mites.

We had a recent scabies scare from my sister's daughter. Once we received the news that everyone in the home had to be treated, I started researching to find out what can I do to get rid of these things or better yet, do not let my son get infected. It was hard work and expensive, but it worked so far. NO ITCHING, NO RASHES, NO SCARRING, NO MORE PANICS! Here is what I did: FIRST, I PRAYED TO GOD FOR HEALING. Then I did all the rest of this stuff.

Night 1: I used the Permathrin that the doctor gave my sister to give to the family. I used it from neck to toes. I also used it on my son. I went and brought a spray bottle and labeled it "BLEACH. " I took all the decorations (towels, rugs, toilet cover, etc. ) out the bathroom. I made sure the bathroom was BARE. I sprayed the entire bathroom with bleach (all around the toilet, tub, shower, etc. ). Next morning, I showered, put on tea tree oil mixed with Jergen's lotion and went to work. Before I went to work, I put all the linen I slept on and all my clothing in the washing machine in hot water, borax, and liquid detergent. After work, I went and brought a mattress cover to put on the mattress.

Night 2: I took another spray bottle and did part bleach and part water. I sprayed myself down with the bleach and water. I made sure my entire body was covered in bleach and water. I DID NOT TAKE A BATH. I let the solution soaked in my skin overnight. I put fresh linen on my bed. I took the linen that I washed that morning and put it in the laundry room in a basket and let it sat there for four days. Next morning I took a shower and washed with OLIVE OIL and DIAL soap. I DID NOT DRY OFF WITH A TOWEL. Instead, I air dried. Afterwards, I sprayed myseld with Peroxide and put on the Jergens lotion mixed with Tea tree oil. I took the linen off the bed and put it in the washing machine. I sprayed the mattress cover down with bleach and water and wiped it down.

Night 3: I took a bath in Borax, Epsom Salt, and Peroxide. What I did was got another spray bottle and filled it up with peroxide. I sprayed my entire body with Peroxide, then I sat in a tub of hot water with Epsom Salt and Peroxide. I used the antibacterial soap and Borax to wash areas I thought was infected. Again, I did not towel dry. I air dried, then I applied the Tea Tree oil and Jergens lotion. I put fresh linen on the bed and took the other linen out the washing machine and sat in in the laundry room for four days.

Night 4: I took another spray bottle and did part bleach and part water.

Night 5: I used the Permathrin treatment again.

Night 6: I did the bleach treatment again.

The reason I did this is because you have to continue to fight these things every night for a while to get rid of the the live ones and the unborn ones. I did this for 10 days. Everytime, I used the bathroom, I bleached everything down. I also went to Wal-Mart and brought Hartz tick and flea spray. It has 28% Permathrin in it. I sprayed all my furniture down and my carpets. It also stops reinfestation for 14 days. My son, boyfriend, and I was staying in my room for a couple of nights until the rest of the home was being treated. Then, we moved to the guest bedroom until my room was being treated with the Hartz tick and flea spray. I also set aside five (5) sheet sets for my bed. Every morning, I would wash the linen in hot water and dry in a hot dryer, but I would not reuse it for five days. The sheets were taking turns. Also whenever a new bump would appear. I would used Hand Santizer and get a piece of tissue and rub the hand sanitizer real hard into the bump. Then I wil follow up and spray it lightly with the part bleach and part water.

This is a lot of work, but I have not had anymore problems at all. BUT to be on the safe side, Every 3-5 days now, I spray myself with Peroxide and Borax from neck down to my feet to make sure they are all gone and because I am so paranoid of them returning. Hope this information help some people suffering from this stuff.

Well, I thought I allergic to my yards of new material when I discovered we all were infected by scabies.... What a nightmare!!! The prescription doesn't work!!! The pharmaceutical company for the medication most likely set off the epidemic for profit. But I tried Bleach, the prescription medication etc... I did bath using Borax and Hydrogen Peroxide on all the children all 5 of them, my husband and myself. We seen little black specs in the water and if you look at a scabie photo they look like that... Anyways, we are sticking with washing everything in borax and hot water and bathing in the solution for the next couple of days and nobody has had an allergic reaction. The itching stopped immediately and it was a relief.... and for those of you lying about the borax and hydrogen peroxide treatment tell your pharmaceutical company to quit profitting off the misery of others and step up the medication dosage to eliminate the problem....

Hi
I have finally figured out how to beat the scabies with ease.

1. Buy the Kleen Green big gallon 128oz so that you can soak and spray your environment.

2. Buy 20 mule borax or any other borax to soak clothes for 15 minutes, add a touch of kleen green too and then wash and dry on high heat.

3. Buy a scrub cloth to scrub your body.. u can also get sulfur soap if u like.

4. Get some diacotomus earth and put on your carpet the proper way... Check instructions first as this thing is very dusty, my vacuum turned white once I tried to vacuum. So check instructions on proper use and get dust mask if needed.

5. Be positive and say an affirmation everyday like healing and health is my birth right... Or everyday in everyway I am getting better and better. Say a prayer every morning and night, there is a spiritual aspect to this I believe.

6. Drink teas that detoxify your body, or find a way to detoxify your body and do not eat junk food at all...!

7. Thats it... U will be cured within a week or 2 if you are diligent. Also checkout scabies killer.com as they have an oil formula that is effective, or if u like just buy what they are offering as it is what I have figured out through trial and error and research online... They have a money back guarantee... So thats a nice thing :)... Ur choice... Also try the above at your own, risk... I dont want u to sue me for trying to help you...

I sprayed a 4/1 mixture of water/bleach on my scabies patches, and for good measure, I covered the worst areas with Saran Wrap which I left on all night. I figured it would suffacate the little buggers. A little tape kept the wrap in place. Next morning there was a noticeable improvement in the appearance and decrease in itching. Second morning was even better. I am about to do the routine for the third time tonite. This will be a Godsend if it gets rid of these critters from Hell. I also spray the bleach solution on my legs and body 2-3 times during the day. Sure hope some of you find a little relief with this approach.

BETTER BUT WITH SIDE EFFECTS

I was using the HP and get "burned" so stopped. Start using the ACV and "burn". start Borax, burn part of my face, neck and chest but I did not stop the borax treatment.

After 2 months I tried the h2o2 and the Apple Cider Vinegar again just to see what happen. Surprise, didnt burn anymore. For me the burn was the killing of some fungus. In a normal healthy skin I guess dont do that. I am free to use it again.

Well, I have itchy scalp, ear (flaky too) and now in one spot on my genitals. I've been missdiagnosed before' doctors told me I have psoriasis but I knew it's not true because my husband and my niece got it too. I am so so desperate to heal it :( I can't sleep during the night:(

I probably have scabies, and right this minute I'm going to take a bath with tee tree oil and coconut to kill them. We are washing the bedding EVERY DAY due to obsession.

I hope I have something I can get rid of.

Peppermint Soap for Scabies
Posted by Macey (Mississauga, Ontario) on 05/29/2011

I am a single mom of one and I have been fighting the battle of scabies for months. I tried, the creams (prescription), borax (not sure I gave this enough time to work), products by dermisil, but each time I thought I was getting better the next couple of days proved me wrong with more physical signs that I was still infected:(

To give you an idea of my routine, once I wake up I strip my beds of all linens (including pillows and comforter), bring them down to the basement and put them into the dryer... I run the dryer cycle once in the morning. Then head to work. After work and put the dryer on one more time and start a load of wash that has been store in black garbage bags, vacuum the floors, wash the bath tubs and clean all toilets, mirrors, sinks, etc......

Anyways, I recently read your suggestion and I am hoping this works for me as well. After researching Dr. Bronners products I am convinced that I will keep this product in my house for a lifetime because of its multi purpose.

Can you give me an update and any tips you learnt along the way. Some days I feel like crying and it sucks that I am isolated from my family in fear that I will pass it on to them. I would never want them to go through the nightmare I am going through.

Please help me!!!

animals cannot get scabies. the mites can only live on human skin, and human skin alone. the only way to get scabies in the first place is by prolonged skin to skin contact. for example how a mother hugs her child more than once a day. shaking of the hand or one simple hug will not contract them. the scabies can only live without a host for 3 days. simply vacate your house for three days and they will be gone(from your home anyway). make sure you take treatment durring then so not to reinfest your environment.

Re: Diatomaceous Earth for external parasites on animals

I've used D.E. for years (11 ), to get rid of fleas on our dogs & cats, & lice on our livestock. I sprinkle it right on the animals & rub/brush it in really well - & then also sprinkle it liberally around their "loafing areas". We sprinkle it around our entire house during "flea season" & it makes a huge difference in the flea population issues that you just can't avoid during certain weather & when you have a zillion animals like we do, LOL. It does take longer than the noxious chemicals, but it does work!

i wouldn't put the hydrogen peroxide on your hair. It will bleach you hair. when I was a kid we would do this to get 'blond' hair.

you can use borax alone on your hair and it will do a similar thing.

One of the most effective remedies for scabies is tea tree oil. Tea tree oil has safely been used for decades to heal many ailments, from insect bites to acne. Tea tree oil has antifungal, as well as antibacterial, properties. Tea tree oil works by absorbing and penetrating into the lower layers of the skin, killing the parasite. Tea tree oil also kills the eggs that have been laid by the parasite, preventing reinfestation.

I used olive oil and tea tree equal parts just a bit ago for 30 minutes on my son, then dropped 20 drops of neem in his bath, then he soaked for 20 minutes and washed with a sulfer soap.. This is the most relief hes had since last Thursday when we discovered it... Thanks for any info you can give..

Using bleach in bath water (1-2cups ONLY) is not toxic to you. It's about equal to a clorinated pool! I wouldn't recommend this as a daily regimen! It's not a first choice for your skin, BUT it will work for SCABIES! The thing with scabies/bleach is to basically shock the mites! It will kill them, if done, with somewhat normal (healthy) skin! If your skin is severe (DO NOT USE BLEACH). Use TTO and menthol powder or lotion, until the skin gets back to a more healthier state! The permethrin can be watered down and used daily over bad areas! WHEN skin is in a healthly state, take a bleach bath! Do add a small bottle of hydrogen peroxide to HOT AS YOU CAN STAND water... Use alot of after bath moisturizer! The thing to remember when using bleach, is that if your skin (in damaged skin) and you keep using bleach, although it may kill some mites, the female who is deeper in your skin to begin with, will burrow deeper!!! So-skin somewhat healthy. Hot water to open the pores. Hydrogen peroxide to allow the bleach to soak into your skin! When skin is still wet, LOTS of moisturizer!!! LOTS OF LUCK TO ALL OF YOU SUFFERING =)
