After suffering for about 10 days with intense itching in the palms of my hands and fingers, I went to a dermatologist. I had been treating myself for hand eczema using suggestions from EC. The Derm felt I had scabies. I got the cream RX filled, but came to this site for recommendations to try first. That night I bathed in 2 cups of Borax with 1 bottle of hydrogen peroxide for 30 minutes. I slept all night without a terrible itching episode for the first time in nearly 2 weeks. I bathed the same for another 2 nights and also kept borax in my shower to use as a scrub in the mornings. I changed my sheets every day and only wore clothing one time. I washed everything in hot water and added borax to the laundry detergeant. Luckily, I am the only one here at home who has suffered. Don't know where they came from, but I have such peace of mind knowing that we can fix the problem without harmful creams. And the relief was almost instant! I am continuing to use Borax with my laundry detergeant and scrub with it on the spots that may come up.

Thank you to Earth Clinic for this site and for all of you who post here. I also had a terrible case of acid reflux for a month solid that I cured with apple cider vinegar after reading here. It took 4-6 weeks, but I have absolutely no symptoms now.

I would like to thank everyone who posted a cure for scabies on the site, you were all a godsend. I recieved some items, clothes, furniture ect. from a family friend who was cleaning out her garage. I also got bedbugs and scabies. We had no idea what was going on. I have four boys and they were scratching up a storm. I thought I was going crazy. We'd just switched detergents, so I thought that must be it, but it wasn't. When I told my friend about it, she was very concerned that we may have gotten scabies from her things, because she didn't think they could live that long. So I went to the dr. and she thought it was allergies too. But it wasn't and the use of the borax and peroxide soak proved it. I found a questionaire on another website, and every answer was yes. When I found this website, I thanked god. I combined 2-cups of borax with 1 bottle of peroxide, this into a full tub of water as hot as you can stand it.

For my children I used 1 cup borax and 1/2 cup of peroxide. I also decided to use the antibacterial soap. I did this because although we have all been afflicted with the bites, my husband hands and arms are totally clear. Where he works he always has to use the antibacterial gel, you know the inst-wash stuff. and he just rubs it on like lotion. So we've started using that too. Just in case anyone else thinks it might help. Good luck to all of you. We'll be taking bath #2 tonight, and another tomorrow. Then start again next friday. Also I'm gonna try the Diatomaceous earth powder. Have any of you ever heard of Dri-Die? It's supposed to kill bedbugs, and other creepy crawlies. Is it anything like DE? Thanks...Lori

I am a beekeeper and treat my bees with essential oils. I thought that if the oils kill the varroah mite they might kill scabies.

In 2 tablespoons of olive oil put:

15 drops of wintergreen
15 drops of peppermint oil
15 drops of neem oil
15 drops of oregano oil
and for good measure and soothing 10 drops of lavender

I tried it on my scabies
No more itching
No more rash - within one week it seemed to have gone - I shall keep going for another week in case there are any eggs left!!

Hopefully this will be posted because it really seems to be working! December 08 I started getting lesions all over my legs, back and head. I went to see my doctor and was told it was scabies and prescribed 5% permethrin cream,an anti bacterial oral med and topical steroid ,did NOT work! Also tried Ivermectin paste for horses (out of desperation,3 times)I did get what seemed to be a reduction in lesions but even after 12 Permethrin treatments it kept coming back. Dermatolagist said I was healing... just quit scratching. I came across a scabies blog where people were getting great results with soaking a half hour in 1 cup washing soda, dissolving washing soda (1) in 4-1 water (4), no rinsing and spraying floors, furniture walls etc. To my astonishment after 2 treatments my lesions are healing quickly and I think we got a Winner! The results are so dramatic I could not wait to post this, even if this is not a cure (to early to tell)it is worth trying. good luck fighting whatever super scabie or morgellons this is.

Thank you both, I will look up the candida info. Neem is helping, not so 'hot' feeling today. I just shower with about 10 drops in water and rub it all over. I looked up on net and found a scabies picture that looks like mine but doesn't have the inflammation underneath. Mine has inflammation as well. I have what look like red bands around my wrists. Sometimes I get these lines on inside of legs - they look like stiration marks - like the nerves have burnt through in lines - is that a track? I will be seeing my dermatologist soon as well. I sometimes wonder if it's my nerves when stressing over hair falling out!?

Fiona, I'd agree with Phil on this one. Either go show your rash to your pharmacist or google images of skin rashes to see if you can match it. If it is a fungal infection and you treat it as mites you could get a lot worse or vice versa. Scabies tends to be very obvious because of the tracks that they leave in the skin. Demodex mites tend to be in the face (rule of thumb but not an actual rule). I don't know much about nano insects. But fungal infections can take on a few different forms. Intolerance to chemicals in your clothes and laundering and personal hygiene might also be worth taking into consideration.

Skin Rashes can be very difficult to figure out. It could possiably be mites, parasites, nano tech. But one thing I would like to draw attention to is the CANDIDA YEAST connection. You could possiably have a CANDIDA RASH associated with yeast over growth and LEAKY GUT syndrome. Ted, speaks of this on the candida page.

I read some where on the world wide web. Can't remember where. But, this person wrote in and asked if they might have this parasite or mite infection and describe the white pimple bumps and rash... The person who answered the question on the website said it sounded to them as if the person was actually suffering from a CANDIDA RASH.

Like I said, Skin rash can be caused by one or many things.

I think,Ted even says some where here, That long after the parasites or mites are gone the Mycoplasma, nano-bacteria and candida still remain.

I am pretty sure I have scabies - intense drive me mad itching - worse when hot, in bed after eating hot food etc. Also had prickles, hives feeling - wondered if I had prickly heat. Bought some Eurax took away the prickles. Just showered with neem oil and this has taken the itch off. I still have a feeling of heat under the skin, get hive bumps now and then.

I am also convinced that my alopecia is mite related. Bit of my eyebrow fell out. I rubbed some eurax on it and it dried up and went all crusty! I get these pimples in my hair then it falls out. ANYONE with scabies also experiencing hairloss?

I'm gonna keep up the neem. I can feel my lymph get stressed out from all the scratching!!

I'm no expert, but from how you describe the mites as looking like long grains of white rice, but smaller, it sounds like head lice. The bleach you uses on your hair would kill the live lice, but not the lice eggs, so they would hatch and start the infestation all over again. You could use the lice killer shampoo from over the counter, but that exposes your body to toxins. I use a thick conditioner, slather it all over my scalp, wrap hair in plastic wrap, leave on for at least 12 hours, then use the little lice comb (can be picked up at pharmacy), and comb the eggs out. The problem with head lice is the lice are easy to kill, but the eggs just keep on living, unless removed from hair entirely. The eggs are incased in a glue sack that nothing over the counter or otherwise seem to desolve. From my experience, the conditioner sufficates the live ones, and makes the eggs detach from the hair follical more easily. I use the comb everyday for at least 3 days (as in put the conditioner back in your hair like you would after a shampoo), then comb them out. I repeat the whole process(conditioner plus plastic wrap)one week later incase I missed any eggs that might hatch. You will easily be able to see the eggs in the conditioner once they are combed out of the hair. Just smear the contitioner residue (from the comb) on a white paper towel, and you will be able to see the eggs. They appear to be black or dark tan with a tiny stalk on the end of them. They look similar to a poppy seed, but much smaller. As a rule scabies (at least in adults) do not effect the face or scalp. That occurs mostly on babies, or small children. I hope this helps. It can't hurt to try it. If nothing else, your hair will get a deep condition...

sorry, just saw this.my mother actually learned about this from a pharmacist, a long time ago.she bought sulfer powder from the pharmacy. i just called a pharmacy and they still sell it. just ask a pharmacist for. then she just mixed the two together, i remember it being really yellow and gritty (and gross), i had to stay on a sheet all day. then showered it all off. never had to do it again.

i just wanted to know how long it took then to get rid of the scabies after using the oil of oregano? How long did you apply it? Once syptoms went away did you stop using the oils?

food grade diatomaceous earth and borax baths got rid of my scabies or bed bugs whatever those pesky bugs were. You can buy food grade diatomaceous earth from online and I put the powder all over my body and all over my bed when I was infested. I put the powder on areas of my body that felt itchy. Shortly after the itch would go away. This helped tremendously. I also discovered what a wonderful product DE is. You can drink it and it removes parasites in your body. It is all natural. I also feed to my dog to keep bugs out of him. It is also great for the yard. My basement used to have lots of spiders and I just put the powder on my window sills and the spiders and ants stay away. This stuff is great. A wonderful product to have around the home.

Yes the bugs did come back because they lay eggs and the eggs hatch. I had to scrub with borax everyday for about a month. I also only wore clothing once and washed the sheets in hot water. I also bought food grade diatomaceous earth and put the dust all over my house and skin. The itching has finally stopped. I now actually think they were bed bugs instead of scabies but both are very pesty bugs and produce the same type of itch. This all happened because I took in and slept on an old bed mattress from my parents friend. I got rid of the mattress and will never do that again.

when we were kids, we moved to a house that had a old couch, my brothers and i, all got mites/scabies. over 30 years ago, my mother treated us with plain old petroleum jelly mixed with sulpher powder. had to strip down to nothing and put it liberally all over the body. keep it on for at least 8 hours, she told us it suffocated them. no more itch. no more bugs. threw away that couch and taught us not to climb all over old furniture that didn't belong to us.

I have read every one of the cures listed on here. I do not have a bath tub to soak in, so how can I get cured of these horrendous ailment with just a shower? Any suggestions?

Biting mites

I have tried so many of the ideas on this site, and nothing helped. I finally took common flour and baked it in the oven until it turned brown, and applied it to my skin. It is healing my skin and the deep bruising of the bites are being healed. The first day, I applied olive oil and a coconut oil mix and then dusted myself with the "brown flour", and it worked.

Yes I smell kinda of like toast --but it is worth it, and it is working for me! Thank you. I think this is an olden day cure for skin problems that work. Bonnie

Sorry to hear your dilema, its simply a case better safe than sorry. Get a bottle or tube of incetacidal head lice treatment from your pharmacy and treat your whole body covering every bit of skin area. Pay attention to skin folds, hairy bits and nails leave it on for a full 24 hours and then shower and wash your hair normally. To be absolutely safe repeat the treatment after four to five days.

I believe I have mites burrowing into my scalp and skin. Bumps/bites become itchy, I scratch (try not to). Then I end up with tons of bites/scratch marks on my arms, legs, chest, back, face, nose, and scalp. I have had this for approx 2 yrs now and have tried many remedies. Nothing has eradicated the mite. Sometimes I feel I am reducing the problem, then out of nowhere I end up with a new set of bites. I always seem to have more than one new bite in an area of my body. I have colored/bleached my hair for over 20 years. When I color/bleach my hair once a month, the bleach formula is extremely strong and is left on my hair for 30 mins. I can't help but wonder why the mites, at least the mites on my scalp don't die when I bleach my hair? If the strong bleach/peroxide formula doesn't kill them, how will borax and peroxide kill them? I recall that the initial itching began over two years ago when I went swimming at the beach and just let me hair dry in the sun, didn't shampoo until the next day or so. I have been reading voraciously to try to identify whats biting me. Some kind of mite seems to be most likely. My mites are white and look like a grain of rice but much, much smaller than rice. I would be forever grateful if you have any helpful information to rid my body of this parasite.

I spent the night at my male friends house on Labor Day Sept 5,. Showered, slept in his pj's. Did sleep 2 more nights, 9th, 12th. No intimacy but kissing. On Mon, Sept.14, he calls and says that he has scabies and that I gave it to him. He went to the DR on Mon and got premetrin. Tells me he started itching on or about Aug 25. I immediately looked up the condition. AND came to this site. Based on my reading, he had to have been infected at the barest minimum of 1 week prior to his itching. I had no symptoms- no itching, saw no bugs. I washed my linen, secured my clothing from my visits to him.

Bathed in H202 and seemed to be fine.

Realized that I would get them also but didn't go to DR. Today, I saw 2 little black bugs, and I have what could be bites. DISTRESS- have appointment on Sept 23 for well women stuff.

QUESTIONS: IS THIS TOO SOON? DO I NEED SORES? IS THERE A BLOOD TEST? Just went to the store to get borax, H202 and citris mouth wash.

i work in the public everyday and i am exposed to all kinds of things .and in october 2007 i developd an itch in my rectum i thought that it was from a hemmeroid and that it was going to go away .but i noticed that the itch was intense and when i layed down it got worse .after christmas i went crazy to the point i went to the doctor and i told them i thought it was the jock itch and they gave me some cream andtold me to improve my hygene but i couldnt understand becuase i showerd twice daily .and when i used the cream the itch got violent .to the point i sometimes had to miss work .i thought all was lost so i learned how to deal with it.until someone said that it might be scabbies and that the symptoms are the same as jock itch .so i googled and this website came up and when i saw this remedy i said the hell with it and decided to try it .i used two cups of borax and hydrogen peroxide 1/2 a bottle i soaked last night and the itching kinda subsided i used citrus listerine and the itching stopped ,i just soaked agin in the same soulution and this time i added 2 drops of tea tree oil .i have been suffering for the last two years and i been to the doctor numerous times and it looks like the only thing they said is that it was the jock itch an boy were they wrong .i tried all of the over the counter remedies and nothing helped .the i started looking at psorosis and that was wrong .so i just started taking real hot showers and that was only temporary relief .it want from my arms legs groin neck balls especialy balls, embarassing and ultra uncomfortable. this time i think iv'e got a winner. thanx you all and i will give an update the next time i soak

07/09/2009: April from North Florida, replies: " For mites on the dog -- try covering the dog with mayonnaise!!! Leave it on as long as you can before rinsing it off. After rinsing I like to shampoo the dog and rinse with vinegar and water. The dog may smell like a salad while wearing the mayo, but the mayo suffocates the mites. We run a dog rescue and take in babies with all sorts of skin ailments, and this works like a charm getting rid of mites. Lots of people claim dogs with mange are incurable - well, the mange caused by mites is taken care of with mayo every time."

it is awesome.. and the mayo also made her coat smooth and the vinegar balanced out the residual redness of her skin .. I can't believe how well it worked and how calm it made her.. like she was getting a spa treatment .. the may gave her instant relief

guess the mites are less active right away?? And she just laid there I was able to leave the mayo on for over an hour each time. I put sterile gauze pads in the apple vinegar and let them stay on her deflated mite sites......again AWESOME.. about 75 to 80 percent better after the first treatment and a small gain after the 2nd on.. I am letting her skin recuperate and w ill do it again in a day or two

my question.. how often to you do this treatment.. how long does it take ( does it vary) to eliminate all the mite sites? and more specific instructions would be appreciated

I was first diagnosed with scabies a year ago this month. I went to the doctor and they gave me permethrin cream. I was told to apply it the same way that you were, neck down, leave it on over night and shower it off in the morning. I followed the directions exactly as they told me, even re-applied two weeks later. The scabies never went away completely. I went back to the doctor and they gave me more permethrin. It didn't seem to really be working for me, although I have heard that it does for others.

In doing some research I came across several remedies that others are offering up as what worked for them. The simplest and most natural way that I have had success with has been using 10% sulfur soap, from the drug store. As soon as I used it the first time I noticed a HUGE difference. In the four areas of my body where they are showing the lesions seemed to diminish as well as the itching was lessened. The sulfur kills the scabies mite, but not the eggs so a couple months using this soap is what is recommended.

It's very simple, twice a day you get in the shower, make the water as hot as you can stand it, then get a wash rag and take the soap and build up a good lather with it. Apply the soapy rag to the affected areas of your skin and scrub it in. They recommend you do this twice a day until the rash disappears and then after it's gone you should do it at least once a week for a couple of months. This is what I have been doing and I have to tell you that it's really working for me and the best part is that it's very simple and very accessible for most people by going to the local drug store or even ordering it online. So have the scabies come back? I am on day 2 of my soaks of borax. Earlier today, I found 2 dead tiny bugs in my bra after a horrible itching fit. Should I really be able to see these mites or do we have some other mite????

Hello, formerly panicked in Philly here. Wanted to share with my fellow comrades. One, purchase lice/egg and killer and spray down your carpets and bedding and furniture to kill scabie mite. I was told by a pharmacist that it works just as well on killing the scabbie mite. Second, if your itching like crazy and you feel them everywhere on your body but you have no new bumps on tracks then there is more than a good chance that you are suffering a form of post traumatic stress as I was. This is not far fetched because the experience of this mite is so horrific that it may take some time until you accept that its really over. It took me 3trips to the E.R. and my final trip to the dermatologist (today) to convince me that there was nothing crawling all over me. I left a inchoherent, grammatical mess of a post on this site lastnight because as I typed I felt the creepy crawlies all over me. It was all in my head. Period. I sprayed the house down with the Rid lice killer just to be on the safe side. To those who REALLY are going through it, you have my deepest sympathies and prayer. DON'T DO YOURSELF BODILY HARM!!! Keep fighting and eat plenty of garlic to fight off possible infection. I endured the anguish of this creepy critter and understand. GOD BLESS YOU.

Hi all, I hope this helps someone. I am tramatised in Philly and have been battling this SCABBIE mite for 3mos. I used a few things in conjunction. First know your enemy this mite likes to nest in paper, anything poreous(sp)curtains, rugs, books, unfoRtunatly humans, as we who are suffering know. So trash anyhing in your house made of these substances, it especially likes to lay eggs in your bedding. I threw out almost all of my belongings and minimized everything. I went to kmart and bought twin fold out iron bed frame(100 bucks) and a swiss blow up mattress (43 bucks) one allergy fitted mattress cover to protect against microscopic pest. I purchased xtreme clean, medicated wash and salve and pest dust from Q base solutions on line. The dust should be fine mist throughout your home, it smothers the mite and strips its skeleton and that of its eggs, I also put it on my body to smother any emerging mite. Neutrogena acne prone skin body wash and scrub has acid in it and I found that it flattens out those bumps and heals the skin. Use vitamin e oil to help repair skin. Eat as much fresh cloves of garlic as you can stand because it is a natural anti parasitic and it will also help to fight off infections. Eat alot of fruit and veggies for the vitamin c to keep your immune system up, its needed against this bug, Wash all your bedding and clothing everyday. If you can, after a bath coat yourself with petrolium jelly and add tea tree oil which kills their egg cycle to keep them from breeding in your home. Fine mist that dust in your bedding too and on all hard surfaces(not too much because you dont want them walking on it) you want to choke them out. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!!!!! dO NOT TRASH ITEMS UNTIL YOU GET THE DUST, if you disturb any of their nest they may come after you and you want to protect yourself. Use the dust in your car because the mite goes where you go. I hope to God that this helps someone.

I went to the beach with my family about 2 or 3 months ago. Immediatley when we left the beach my right arm, where my elbow is or fold is, it began to burn & itch really bad. I figured I had just suffered from being sunburned. For about 2 - 3 days my arm itched like crazy and I figured it was dry/sunburned skin, so I kept putting lotion or aloe gel on the site. What a relief, I had to use household / holistic remedies to treat this. The Citrus Listerine/Mouthwash really works. I'd apply it the area, let it completly dry, then I would apply straight Orange Oil (you can get it @ health food stores for about $2-$3). I did this twice a day, if not more when needed, at night and in the morning. The itching has completley stopped, the discoloration is fading...THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for this home remedy, THIS ONE WORKS !!!! :)

To Helpplz: I buy mine at a feed store, 50 lbs for $21.00. It's real name is Diatomite Silica. You can buy it at nurseries and garden centers, too, but for far more expensive. We drink ours. I don't have hot flashes when I drink it. I took several tablespoons twice daily, and the next day the flashes quit. I vacationed in the Carribbean without air conditioning for two weeks, and the flashes still didn't happen.

I also quit having gluteal hamstring pulls--I have no idea why they quit the day after I began taking the silica. I'd had them for 5 years previously, as long as I'd been running. However, four months ago I changed my running form from heel strike to forefoot strike, and the hamstring pulls never recurred, even without my taking silica. Strange, but my knees and ankles quit hurting when I changed form, too.

When I quit taking silica, however, my hot flashes returned.

I can't tell what else silica did for me because I am not aware of having any other health problems.

DMSO is really quite mild compared to Neem oil. I don't know what percentage of Neem is in the body wash you are using, but to be honest, straight Neem oil is about the vilest stuff I have ever smelled.

I have a question about your DMSO and hydrogen peroxide treatment. I have heard that Dmso smells like garlic gone bad . Would really like to try it. We are at the point where we are almost cured ...but not quite. My boyfriend insist that he does not have them becsuse he does not itch and I have to throw a fit to get him to do a neem, lavender,orange, and tea tree whole body shampoo every other day. So I doubt I could get him to try something that smells worse. Thanks for your efforts.

borax and hydrogen peroxide cured my scabies

After 4 weeks of uncomfortable itching all over, I finally figured out that I had scabies. I decided to try the hydrogen peroxide and borax remedy posted on this site and it worked like a charm. I did have to soak in a bath of hot water, hydrogen peroxide (1 bottle) and 2 laundry scoops of the borax for two days, 30 minutes each soak. Then the next two days I didn't have time for baths so I just scrubbed borax all over while I was in the shower. I scrubbed for a good 10 minutes. I now just have slight itching in a couple of areas and I will continue to scrubb with borax until the itching is gone. This whole rememdy cost me $4 and I didn't have to go to the doctor for that pesticide cream. Yea for this site.

I put 1 1/2 bottles of ___ Citrus Mouth Wash into a tub of warm water, and soaked myself for 10 minutes, completely immersing myself from head to toe, including hair. Afterwards, I dried off with towel. No rinsing needed. Then I put generous amount of perm all over my body, and left it on for 14 hours and rinsed everything off the next morning. I also washed all my sheets and comforter and towels daily in hot water, extra hot dryer. Clothes was treated in same manner, after every wear. it's worth it, even if the clothes shrinks. REPEAT for 2 days, or 3 days if still feeling creepy crawllys.

I think I am cured, I hope I am cured. This was by far the worse thing that has happened to me, and thank god for this website, or else I wouldn't know what to do.

My mom and I hd been fighting these scabies mites for 4 years now. Came from chickens she bought from a farmer. We tried everything, and thank god for earthclinic and Ted's recommendations, but still no permanent cheap relief as I was unable to treat the beds and get em all killed. After spending $3000 on a sleep number bed,I couldnt just replace it. However--My mom called me up and told me that spraying hydrogen peroxide solution on herself all over killed the things. I had found it at walmart listed as non-chlorine bleach with a pink label. I tried it and was a little disapointed, maybe 70% results. I figured I had not treated everything in my house properly. Also, I was reading about DMSO. I read where the DMSO goes deep into the skin and you had better be clean where you apply it or it will take the dirt down deep with it. So, I mixed 3/4 cup DMSO, 1 cup water and 1 cup peroxide bought at wal-mart into a spray bottle. Its called non-chlorine bleach with a pink label next to the regular bleach. BINGO, instant kill rate even below the skin. I had to treat the really big spots for a couple of days until they dried up. Now I had the perfect spray for me, my bed, my car, my long haired dogs. Its a miracle. I recommend treating your whole body every day until you have no more spots as they will crawl out of a small "kill zone spray" if you dont add enough DMSO. I put in less (1/4 cup )DMSO and it didnt kill as fast, but still killed em. No smell either. Been 3 weeks now and on those in my family who used it, it works great. I have one family member in denial. however, even so, I can still treat his stuff without the big fight over the smell of the sulfur I was using.

So I am anxious now that it's been two months how it all worked out for you!!

YES this works!!!!! i have tried all kinds of things and nothing works. i bought this stuff off the internet that cost 100 bucks thinkin it would work(didnt). i went to the doctor and he gave me this stuff that didnt work either. when i saw this site i thought what the hell... wouldnt hurt to try. i used a regular cup that u drink out of and put two huge scoops it in the tub. then i would get in and and sprinkle a alot of it over my infected areas. just sit in the tub for 30 min each night with warm water. the first day i kinda saw a difference, but i noticed that i was not itching near as much! the second day i noticed a huge difference they were almost gone!!! i am going to try it again for the third night tonight. i was just so happy about how well this works i had to let other people know so they dont have to suffer like i did!

Mix neem, clove and tea tree and you've got quite the lethal combination for these pests.

It's really a bit cynical to be washing like this daily, who really has the time for this? Have you heard of the saying sometimes you can be too clean... the environment has ways of taking care of it's own, but as far as internally cleansing that really is the answer.

Thank you for posting the orange oil remedy. I have been battling with scabies for about one year, used different remedies and cleaning and washing. I used permethrin 5% x2, recently I did 3-day sulphur cream. It seems that I'm not cured! I ordered orange oil and mixed with aloe to 10%. May you post on how many times do you apply the orange oil a day? Do you make the lotion 10% to apply on the body? and how long did it take you or your friend to get rid of it?

About the mites on the dog -- try covering the dog with mayonaise!!! Leave it on as long as you can before rinsing it off. After rinsing I like to shamppoo the dog and rinse with vinegar and water. The dog may smell like a salad while wearing the mayo, but the mayo suffocates the mites. We run a dog rescue and take in babies with all sorts of skin ailments, and this works like a charm getting rid of mites. Lots of people claim dogs with mange are incurable - well, the mange caused by mites is taken care of with mayo every time.

Neem Tree with Aloe cured my mites (scabies) after five years of itchy hell. The doctor prescribed me Permethrin cream on several different occasions, only to irritate and antagonize my parrasites. On top of that Permethrin is a horrible pesticide used in Raid and other icky substances. Not people friendly enough for ME to rub in head to toe. So after half a decade of pain and pesticide i decided to order some neem tree products off of a health store online. According the the indians neem is a safe sterilization agent and a wonderful organic pesticide. Apparently it destroys the mite eggs before they hatch, leaving no more generations to mate on. Lo and behold, three or four weeks after treatment started i was mite free. Take caution though, you may want to keep on with treatment for a month or two to make sure no eggs hiding in floorboards, the coutch, your steering wheel, ect, can hatch and respawn.

orange oil. you can put some drops into your bath water and soak in it. also mix it into a carrier oil and rub it all over your body. olive oil or coconut oil would work as a carrier oil. you can also add a bunch of drops to water and shake it well and spray your house.

Scabies. OMG! This has me so depressed! To hear that some people have had these for a year? My boyfriend lives in sandy soil and I first thought it was sand fleas. Boy was I wrong. He stays in motels for work and I truly believe this is where it came from! I am embarrassed to tell him. But I will tonight. We have not seen each other for a month so I wonder what he will think. This has been going on for about a month now. It's driving me insane, but I finally went to the Dr. and he prescribed Eurax cream rubbed over entire body and left on for 48 hours (no bath). It's gross! I think my house is infected so tonight I intend to go on a cleaning mission. I have leather couches and when you sit on them you can feel the mites jumping you. What to do there? I think my mattress is infested as well. I have sprayed with bleach. Also is there anything I can put in my steam cleaner to help kill these creeps? I itch constantly at work and am afraid and embarassed that my coworkers will get it! I need to do something in my office without drawing notice. I have gotten some really good info from this site and will try whatever! Thanks guys soooo much. It makes you feel so unclean.

I have used the Permetherin 5% cream and various "remedies" from here and elsewhere. The Borax/Peroxide soak has provided some welcome relief from the itching and apparently it does work somewhat, because I have actually been able to see a few of the dead critters in the water after looking through a magnifying glass. I have used sprays and treatments on the rugs, mattresses, got new pillows, etc. Yet still.... grrrr...

But today, I got so frustrated I tried using Elmer's glue. I just rubbed the washable non toxic school glue kind all over my areas until it dried into a white film. And it seems to be working! Hopefully they will either suffocate or get stuck in the glue trying to get out. Of course, I would not use this 'treatment' on the face, scalp, personal areas, etc... And I am not sure that it would be very good for the skin on a long term basis. But if someone is desparate, it might work for them.
