Tape, Sulphur

I caught scabies after visiting a friend in hospital in mid December, 2015...I never tried the creams from the chemists/drugstore as I read too many times how they don't work...Anyone who is/has suffered from scabies knows only too well that it is one of the hardest things to cure...Until now.

I bought 1kg sulpher powder from eBay...Every night I put it on my body after a shower and also on my eyebrows...It was working slowing but the bugs would scramble into my nose, on my eyelashes and hair...It was like a never ending story until I found one thing that has more or less got rid of them. Cello/sticky tape!

After putting on the sulpher, I would wait a minute and then run a piece of tape across my eyelashes..Do it very gently and pull from the inside out slowly...Do both lashes and then proceed to your eyebrows, from the outside in this time...Don't worry, you wont lose any eyelashes or brows if you do it this way and slowly...I was doing it 3/4 times a day and you will be surprised how many stick to the tape....Next and just as important, run you vacuum nozzle over your hair daily for just a few minutes and this will suck up any in your hair...Try and get lengths of hair shaft.

Next and equally important, vacuum your mattress and rub the sulpher into it and place a sheet on top..I did this twice, about three days in between.

Back to the tape..I used darker pillow cases so I could see the bugs..They were mostly white and ran the tape over my pillow cases (with pillows on) every day...You will see them sitting on the pillow cases..You can use wider tape or thinner tape but try and buy a good quality one as it has much more adhesive to pick up the bugs...I do this every day as they will keep coming back but they wont get a chance to lay eggs...I also run the tape over my face and caught a huge one in it..
No need to wash bedding every single day in hot water as it's time consuming and who has time to do that...The bugs have almost gone and my skin is clearing up and that terrible itch has subsided to zero...The tape combined with the sulpher is the key...Keep it up for months, even when the itch stops so you completely break the cycle..Dip your finger in the sulpher and place it inside your nose..It wont hurt you and they will come out..Have your tape ready and place some over your upper lip as well to lift any that have fallen out of your nose...This really works as I'm almost cured and you wont have to go through all those expensive creams and lotions or maddeningly washing your bed linen daily..Plus, it's easy and you will get great pleasure seeing those disgusting pests stuck to the tape..Make sure you fold the tape over its self to trap them and dispose of them into the rubbish bin..I keep a plastic bag to throw the used tape into it.

After 3 months of this, I feel great again..I wish I bought the tape months ago. Good luck everyone and you will get rid of it like I did.

Tape, Sulphur
Posted by Karen (Sydney) on 04/06/2016

It's been three weeks since my last post and I'm happy to say my scabies have gone...No more itch or crawling mites on me...The sulpher is excellent but it did leave my skin extremely dry...I am using coconut oil every day to make my skin soft again and it's looking better...I can't say enough about having sticky/cello tape handy...I think the sulpher killed the mites but the tape wiped out the eggs and cycle...If you saw the amount of eggs the tape picked up on my face and body and pillow cases, you would be shocked...I washed my bedding every 4 days in cold water ..I made sure I vacuumed my mattress and steam cleaned it on wash days and then placed the sulpher powder over the mattress, put mattress protected on and sheet back on...That was it and they are now gone and my skin is healing...I am still using the tape, just in case but not the sulpher on my body... I really believe the tape is the answer .

I have read that mixing these two causes a chemical reaction that creates chlorine gas which can be toxic. People considering this option should be careful.

Sulphur

I am over scabies completely. I do itch some, but it's from dry skin. To relieve that I drink water and apply lotion and take showers and use a minimum of soap to preserve body oils. I deduced that much of the itching misery I suffered during this ordeal was from dry skin. You can overdo the chemicals, especially when your skin nerves are sensitized. So back off the meds, and apply oil and water.

Borax
Posted by Seeking Solution (Usa) on 11/11/2015

Dear Ted,

Thank you for all your help with what's posted. I've read extensively.

I believe I had scabies, it was misdiagnosed as many things and finally treated w oral ivermectin after about 6 months. It seemed to be clear. That was in the spring of 2014. I spent a lot of time in the ocean that summer. When it got colder and I spent less time it came back. Clustered bite marks and other itches. I should mention that prior to the ivermectin (stromectol) I went through three episodes of nodules. When it came back I did several treatments of permethrin and had die offs. At the same time a new sensation had started very tingly around the bottom of my nose and nipples and tops of toes. Heavy treatments of sulfur seems to stop it for a bit. Then in the winter I did home crusted scabies w Iver paste and once a week perm. Almost gone again but then came back. In the summer in the ocean it goes away until I stop swimming. Also sulfur soap keeps it down. I now think it's Demodex and not scabies. Maybe I had scabies maybe not.

I've been taking the borax 1/4 teaspoon w distilled water one liter for 5 days. I immediately began having a sensation that I haven't heard people mention, which is increased pricking sensation on torso. Not so much itching. Back of neck is itchy. I can see some cylindrical dandruff in my beard but not eyelashes. Is this sensation from the borax normal? The ocean where I am is very salty and when I leave it to dry on my skin I get 12-24 hours of almost nothing. I intend to begin baking soda and have no bath tub so maybe spray with borax peroxide or Epsom salt?

Many thanks, Ted!

Neem and Tea Tree

I keep getting these itchy bumps all in a row between the webbing of my fingers especially while sleeping. At first I thought I got poison ivy but in time it became apparent they were probably related to some bug. I did some research and scabies seemed to be the closest fit. Piecing together information on earth clinic I came up with a plan as I did not want to use pharmaceutical pesticides over my whole body which I heard often didn't even work. At first I took super hot baths which seemed to help but did not knock everything else. Then I used tiger balm on the itchy bumps and also dipped my hands in hot hot water as that is primarily where the infection was. Then I got some tea tree ointment and added glove & neem liberally treating the affected areas. Finally I alternated between tea tree oil soap and neem soap every other day. Between this and the ointment I put on it seemed to wipe things out.

Guys thanks so much for all these posts, I had to laugh at "I just started crying, and mind you I'm a grown man" because I can 100% empathise. I was about to go hari Kiri over here but instead will get my boyfriend to pick up as much clove, tea tree, and orange oil as he can carry. No time for a doctor as I know exactly what this is, having had it before and am kicking myself for not having recognised the symptoms earlier. I guess the repeated saunas mitigated the effects but last night I felt the bites and was like noooooooooo. I dont was this deactivated earth is but I will simply try sticking everything including our mattress, armchair, shoes, clothes etc in the sauna at 90° for 30 minutes, if any of those bastards survive that kind of heat, they probably deserve to live and 10 points for effort. But yeah, hopefully not. My question is, how long do we apply the clove oil for?? Like a week? I read the Australian study also, that said clove oil has a kill rate of 100% after 15 minutes, but they didn't specifically if this means repeated applications. Also I will Clingfilm the car seats. Good call. And thanks again for the advice and the morale!

It sounds like you are being re-infested. Pay attention to who you are having physical contact with. You probably have contact with someone who is carrying mites or are going to visit some location where there is a frequent visit from someone carrying mites. You may need to isolate yourself from physical contact especially sleeping with another person in order to narrow it down.

Zapping and a bath w/ added Turpentine are two items which come to mind. Hot Sauna have been reported somewhat effective.

HI U TIMH, , , , , , , , , , , Yep, a FIR sauna at 160 degrees killed my mites when the MD's could not.

I got a kick out of Rees comment about my having lots of health problems. I have lots of health problems because I test when most don't. I am on my second round of blood cancer in 3 years because I test before problems become clinical.

It's the high jumper story. What are you? "I'm a high jumper". How high do you jump? "Pretty dang high". And how high is that? " Way higher than most folks in this area". Exactly, how high is this? " A little less than 6 ft."

Partner, I don't know what you are, but you are no high jumper.

Most folks don't know their problems because they don't test. They don't know their health condition until it hits them in the face. I know where I am because I test.

Going to Dr Shallenberger in Jan. because he has a test like no other physician on the planet. He gets it down to the cell level. I was successful in the paper industry because I listened to folks smarter me. At 78, my challenge is my good health and I still listen to folks smarter me.

What tests are you talking about? For openers, all on EC should take their urine and saliva pH test once a week. That will keep you busy for quite awhile. Take your glucose and blood pressure daily . Chump change. Spit in a glass of water and you will know about your Candida. No MD needed.

A few tests and you will know more about your health than your MD.

Despite a big lack of diagnostics, I have had the fortune to live near a Mennonite Community which has an excellent health clinic w/ Naturopathic Dr's and the good homegrown herbs. They use Iridology w/ much precision as their primary means of diagnostics. I was twice diagnosed w/ "blood parasites", so it appears we have that correlation.

Seeing how you are able to get about much, you may try and pay em' a visit. They are located just across the Tn/Ky border at Salinas in the Cumberland River basin in the community named Hestand Ky. They have very good cancer treatment protocols and help people from near & far.

Speaking of Sauna, I have been using the Steam room & Sauna faithfully for yrs until recently become unable. These treatments are certainly great for detoxing and generally invigorating. My condition is slowly improving and am hoping to get back to the health club this month and live thru one more winter.

Hope to hear of any improvements in your case.

HI U GLEN,,,,,,,,,,,,, I presume scabies and mites are the same critter. Maybe not. But several years ago I got mites. All the Allopathic stuff the MD's prescribed were for naught.

I then read that they die at 120 + degrees. I just happen to have a FIR sauna and cranked that bugger up to 160 to 180 degrees. We bagged all clothes and bedding in plastic bags daily and scalded the little bastards daily in the wash.

What you have is a chore on your hands and you can not half-ass it, least you spend years on this project. We shucked these rascals in a few weeks.

Usually when someone says they are treating a friend, who they mean is themselves. You amongst friends, so speak freely. I wish you well.

HI U GOOD PEOPLE,,,,,,,,,, researched the Finish sauna practices and learned that they have a world contest as to who can stand the hottest temperatures. Several died after too long exposure at something like 240 degrees F. Guess my 180 degree certificate is for sissy Americans. The normal folks do get their home saunas up to 210 F.

I had forgotten about beating my body with a birch branch to draw my blood to the surface. A sauna over there is a form of socializing. All the hotels have a public sauna and I would never go to one again. The place is saturated with all the toxins from thousands of people's sweat. I was learning in those days.

Read that both the Saunas in the US and Canada are restricted to not exceed 194 F. Here is a good sauna URL for folks that want to learn more. ======ORH=======

Hey good buddy, you apparently missed what I was saying.

Your sauna reaches 180' F. Great. That is the appropriate temp for ANY sauna for recreational use. That doesn't mean your skin temp goes that high.

Our skin temperature (down where the mites are hiding) do not reach high enough temperatures to kill the little bastards. Your body self regulates and cools itself thru sweating, circulating cooler internal blood to your extremities, etc.

If you actually got the deeper layers of your skin heated enough to kill the scabies, you would be subjecting your skin to burns.

I explained how hot water can burn your skin. You disregarded that, saying you were talking about air temp. That doesn't matter. If you got the deeper layers of your skin hot enough to kill scabies, you burn your skin.

The sauna method does NOT work without harming the person trying it.

Hi, Like most I have found scabies to be a scary infection.

A thought first: First check the possibilty that it may be 'folliculitis' as scabies is often diagnosed incorrectly.

I scrubbed my large area of infection on the knee with neat conditioner (I use any unbranded name). They are better than the one that is head and shoulders above the rest for infections. I use neat conditioner for most things especially eczema.

This cleared the area of surface critters. However, I notice there often isn't a distinction between 'I'm free of them' to 'I'm free of the infection underneath the skin'.

The following is not for the faint hearted. I can only say this is what I did and not saying do it.

I poured a very small amount of 33% peroxide into a small glass. I then add a little water. The mixture was very powerful, way beyond 10%.

With a cotton bud I rubbed into the infected burrow lines till they opened and whoosh the peroxide just killed everything. The process was so painful that I thought I couldn't bear it but I keep pushing the bud. The off white residue was hard so I washed it down. Later, I repeated the process on the missed areas.

I can always tell if there is any infection under the skin because if I press an area it feels like a pin sticking in me. My knee looked like I had fallen on gravel that cut deeply into my flesh.

At last the infection had gone. Now I am recovering and applying simple balms to the sores. There is no scarring of 'burnt' areas.

Thank you, JohnMac,for the very informative post.

Jess didn't really add anything to it.

A controlled, blind study of dozens of patients (as you cited), is a hundred times more reliable than 15 or so self-reported, anecdotal stories from people who frequent Earthclinic.

Though this website is a god-send,

I'm not so quick to ignore a controlled, blind study.

Most people on here (including myself), may click "Yea" to bleach bath, and attribute the cure to the bleach bath (as I did), but I also used Permethrin a couple days before the bleach bath. This is probably true for many others here--so it adds confounding variables.

That's why we need controls.

I LOVE your overview --- your belief it's not crucial for sanitizing the bedding, carpeting etc. And that 3 days without feeding they die. If a person did go to a clean environment for a time, wouldn't he or she bring a population under the skin that would be brought along? I feel I'd come back and the critters under my skin would come with me. Re-infesting clothes, linens back home which was rid of eggs, etc after the 3 days.

But, it's the most hopeful thought I've ever heard!

Ted's Remedies

To Jane from NJ,

Re Ted's formula for mite infestation and your question on Ted's use of DMSO...

I've been using DMSO longer than most any other "curative" item ...about 30 years. Just used it a day ago on Impetigo case which is children's infection by bacteria. Used Bentonite clay, DMSO, H2O2 and Colloidal Silver to form the "plaster"... Wrapped infected finger with clay mix. Let dry and washed off. Then assuming for caution sake the infection might also contain spores of fungus, also applied to dry surface, a powder form of anti fungal and held that in place with paper towel. Finally, a re application of the Clay / DMSO mix.

The point is the DMSO was used easily on child with no ill effects. Only helped. I also use DMSO on any sign of Bells Palsey, for instance....I mix DMSO fifty fifty with colloidal silver and apply on affected side with white paper towel. Only ten days ago I suddenly had a swollen forefinger on left hand. Out of the blue....couldn't figure why since I'd done no exercise/ yard work etc the day before....I used DMSO straight on swollen area. Worked the area and now days later no swelling. I found I could "move" the swollen joint and "pop" it in place. Almost no sensitivity now.

I'm just trying to point out all the times I use DMSO. Not weekly, but I bet I use DMSO eight or nine times yearly on myself, and have now for over three decades.

Watch on youtube, DMSO, dr Jacobs, sixty minutes and you'll find a great three part program on DMSO.

Jane: Ted is not an amateur. He has thoroughly researched all the products he recommends and takes them himself. I took 5g a day of dmso for 90 days. David Avacado Wolfe recommends dmso. Get the 99.9% pure, although many people use the 99% brand for farm animals. 1tbsp is 15ml. 5% of 1tbsp is 750mg. Mix 25% castor oil because the dmso needs to be at a certain dilution. The dmso carries the remedies through the skin barrier so there won't be anything left on the skin to wash off. For the scalp cut the hair very short before applying. When I had scabies the Dr. gave me some medicine in a cream that cured them immediately.

I mentioned being put off from drinking it b/c it looks yukky to me, like eating bugs etc. But I should at least try it.

She asked about the colostrum and they couldn't answer the question about obsorbable type, but what they had was in capsules which alleviates my ebie gebies over drinking that yellow slime. It was rather pricy though at nearly $20 a bottle. When I go in to town I will look for kefir at a different health food store. There are 3 in that town of 11,000 people.

Scabies vs. Morgellons
Posted by Communicatingcenter (Helotes, Tx) on 09/17/2013

I fought what I thought was scabies for four months. A lot of the people on this site were describing similar symptoms.

If your scabies are visible, then they aren't scabies. If you are having symptoms of black specks, little skin-colored grains, sharp 'pebbles', splintery organisms and hair-like things coming out of your skin, I URGE you to research Morgellons. Do NOT use Wikipedia for information on this condition, as they are incredibly biased on the subject. There is a lot of misinformation out there to sort through.

If you have been fighting 'scabies' for more than a few months, or if you have been seeing organisms coming out of your skin, chances are you are experiencing Morgellons. You cannot kill Morgellons with scabies treatments.

I wish I had found out about this months earlier. Someone posted something similar on a scabies forum, and I ignored the information because a) I didn't want it to be true and b) the Wikipedia page was so biased as to not include any pathogenically based studies on the subject.

Do not despair--if this is what you have, you are one step closer to a cure by knowing what you're after.

Here is a link to a study on the subject http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3751012/

I suggest you visit a Morgellons website as well to read descriptions of the symptoms from people themselves. I repeat: don't let yourself get pulled in by misinformation.

"I tried the PERM & no results after a couple of days..."

Sounds like you didn't listen to your doctor, on he/she didn't tell you anything about what to expect.

Permethrin does NOT make you good as new after 2 days. You have to apply it, usually wait 7 days, then apply again. Then it takes weeks for the rash and itching to go away.

Since it's all-over, try one of the bath remedies, such as adding to the bathwater bleach, peroxide or borax. Also coconut oil slathered all over works well. Apply liberally as needed. For the first week or so, youl'll want to bathe about 30 minutes afterwards bc it really does wipe them out and bring them to the surface. You'll be able to tell because while the oil is working, they will show near the spots as black or grey flecks. This is just a thought, but I am wondering if a sauna would help. I got these real bad a few years back after accutane dried out all my membranes and gave me the flakies. Now, I use coconut oil locally (on the spots) to keep any recurrances under control.

Robert Henry, If the mites have a chitin layer, and a quick search seems to indicate that they do, perhaps consider Lukenuron, a safe to use, chitin inhibitor. It is harmless to humans and animals, does not let the mite, fea or even candida make the chitin layer that is needed for survival, thereby killing it. There is an overseas company that sells it, and soon a company in Mexico is supposed to start selling another safe version. The chemical name is Dimilin, but the Lufenuron version is pharmacy grade and safe. Best wishes!

I used Lufenuron (aka Dimilin) to get rid of candida by inhibiting the chitin layer from developing, or weakening it. It is used on pets to rid them of fleas in the same manner. I bought one order that contained a small amount of Lufenuron (less than 1/4 Cup) and the directions say to take 1/3 per day for three successive days, mixed in mashed potatoes, applesauce or yogurt (or something similar) along with a high fat meal. It is stored in the fat cells and slowly released over a 2 week period. Since mites have a chitin layer, I am assuming it could work with them, as well. It is harmless and you can take several courses in a row without harm. (if you need to get rid of fleas and then the eggs, too) I think it is possible to have a herxheimer reaction as a result of the die off, but I did not. It was $27 per treatment. Best wishes!

I have had Scabies twice in my life. The first time it went on for years masked by oral and dermal steriods prescribed by arrogant Drs and Specialists who did a life time of damage without a moment's thought, or regard for me and my opinion or my person. What started as a simple mite infection turned into a train wreck disaster and I was sinking fast. By the time I trusted the truth it was so late in the game and the infection so wide spead. It was looking as if perhaps I would loose my hands. Not only was there a nation of Mites happily living under that crusted skin a mile thick where no medicine seemed to penetrate, there was the usual skin infection that often accompanies scabies When I finally decided I didnt have psoraisis, or exczema, chronic hives and allergies. I had scabies and it was unbelievbale what crusted scabies looks like when the steriods are removed and whats realling going on can be seen for the first time in years. I had them everywhere including ears, face and scalp. They do live there, why wouldnt they. By the time I said no more of this kind of Medicine, I'm not getting better I'm sicker then I have ever been and now I have no immune system to work with as the steriods wiped it out. I threw my life into the great Unknown, lept empty handed into the void, and began the road to Answers and Healing.

I went through thousands of dollars and broke the bank. I lost almost everything monetary you can think of. I lost my job, my home and then some. I was crippled spirtually and emotionally threw this and questioned almost everything I believe in. I have been prescribed risperdal by a renowned Specialist who just couldnt open his eyes or mind to the possibility that Medicine missed the boat on this one. That Nature and the Laws have changed since man started playing God and we now find ourselves in the mists of resistant Dis-Ease.

Heres what I know to be my Truth.

Scabies is Treatable. Scabies is Beatable. Even the most difficult cases can be cured. This can be undone.

I have studied and read, then applied much of what others have experienced on myself. I learned what works. What doesnt work. I learned how to take my Life back.

I am Grateful for this site and all those who have shared. My heart goes out to those who are caught in this struggle and I hope I can help. I will be documenting my own experience here for others to read and hopefully it will help others find there road to wellness. I am almost mite free now. It wont be years again this time I believe. I have an immune system this time round and I no this dance so well.

There are a million Meds that do not work. Natural or otherwise. There a alot of scoundrols who will happily rob someone while there desperate and so in need of Healing. Then there our those that will take the time and share where they have been and how they found there way to wellness. Simply because its the right thing to do. I know I would never have found my way threw this Dis-ease to the other side without the sharing of others that have gone before me. Now its time for me to give something back so others that come after me can find there way to the other side. And live in Wellness again. It is our God given right.

Down to 5 bites last night and time for my shower.

Scabies? Around the end of November, my son and I went to stay the night with a friend. At the end of December I started a new job. About a week later my hands were severily Intensively ITCHY, Very Dry, and my Fingers And Knuckles Were Red with Whelps & lil bumps "like ant bites". I pretty much woke up like that every morning but when I got to work is when I would notice the whelps, so I assumed I was allergic to something. Then the bumps, itchyness & rashes started to occur on my wrist, then my arms.. Spread to my legs and top of my feet. My mom thought it was for sure bedbuggs But I didnt think so, because my son sleeps in bed with me & he was just fine! About A Couple Weeks Later I Noticed Him Getting Itchy And Getting Bumps! So put my son in the living room, I did my research on bedbuggs so I got the spray, blow dryer (for heat), & a car Vacume So I Can Suck them out of the cracks and corners... Well.. I found bugs alright! Little white worms! From food my son stuck under the bed!!! BUT I never seen any bedbugs... I sprayd my room anyway and bagged everything up, & got new sheets & me and my son started to sleep on the couch and taped the bedroom door so they couldnt move to other parts of the house. WELL, when I read up on bedbuggs it said they only bite you when your asleep and you cant feel them only the itchyness from the bite the next morning, and that they only bite where skin is not covered. your face, arms, legs, feet..

Well me and my sons itchyness increased, more bumps, rashes, sores from scratching, feeling them crawling on us alll the time not just at night. Just got worse, from the neck down. even unexpected places: He has bumps and blotches of rash around his genitals, I have them on both of my areola's as well as my inner tighs, and we both have it on our buttox, backs & abdomen as well.

my itch is HORRIBLE!!! But I know because my son is younger that he is suffering more, I dont sleep maybe for an hour or two a night, and my son wakes up through the night itching because at night it increases a lottt more! It calmed down on my son he has so many bumps that thats all you pretty much see, on his back, and abdomen. On his stomach he started getting a rash with these tiny red bumps which made it look even worse, and they have been bitting at his wrist, fingers, arm pits, waste line & inbetween fingers, on his knuckles and inside his hand ALOT more lately. So I did research and it kept coming up scabies.. I read ALOT of diff. peoples stories, as well as googling symptoms & pictures & all.

it said where they are known to be, and how they look from a naked eye, too small to see but looks like a little black spec.. And I looked inside of my sons belly button after I gave him a bath & seen couple lil black specs, I used my nail to get one out & put it on my nail to see it & you could tell it was not dirt; it looked like a super tiny lil flea! Too tiny to tell exactly but you could notice leggs coming out of the black spec. bearlyyy but visual enough to me.

as for the burrows, I am not sure exactly if I can point them out even if I did see them, because he has so many scratches and rashy bumps.

I am pretty positive that SCABIES has been the problem of all this hell that me and my son have been going through. Now im on the search for a cure to get rid of these suckers!!

today (feb. 24, 13) out of no where I got a huge rash, starting from the back of my knee down to the bottom of my calf, with a horrible stinging sensation ; feels as if I burnt it!!

me and my son both soaked in a tub containing: hot water, organic oatmeal, & a little tea tree oil for him and quite a bit for me. (because ive never used it I didnt want him to end up breaking out if he was allergic or something)... I let him soak for 30 mins & I soaked for an hour. While soaking I felt awsome! Up untill about 45 mins into it lol I started feeling a lil itch here and there, but when I got out it wasnt long untill we were itching up a storm again!! I know the itching stays for a while, so im not going to say it didnt work just yet. im going to do the oatmeal baths with tea tree oil everyday for this whole week & see if it improves! Hopefully it works because this has been hell!!! & I cant hate myself enough for knowing my son is going through this at 4 years old.

I feel for all of you that have to deal with this & I hope that you all find a cure that works for yall soon!

p.s this has seriously been one of the worst experiences I've even had to go through.. may god bless me & my son as well as yall with a cure. amen!

Hello, I just read all of the things you tried for the bird mites in your scalp. I was just wondering if you ever tried crushed cloves of garlic? I saw an episode of monsters inside me where they said that garlic gets rid of most parasites and infections so maybe it would work for that as well. Didnt see it mentioned so figured I would chime in my suggestion. Hope you find relief. Also maybe DMSO combined with somethings you've already used would allow for greater penetration and absorption of the other remedies to better work on your scalp. Its Aug. 2013 now. Did you ever get it taken care of?

I used Crest 3D whitening toothpaste. But I believe it may not even need to be a whitening one. I used it, thinking I only had weird hives and I'm telling you it fixed the itch in less than 2 minutes. I left it on for a few hours and washed it off when it no longer felt like it was doing anything, and re-applied. I'm not cured yet. When I am I'll list what worked, so this may or may not be a cure, but it SURE does stop the itch that made me unable to sleep!!

I went to the dr a couple days ago for what I had assumed was hives due to a bug bite (I was thinking maybe an ant.) The doctor barely looked at me and just agreed with my suggestion. Turns out it wasn't an ant bite and resulting hives, because this isn't an allergic reaction. I've had those before to medicines, and the steroids always help quickly. I will keep on the steroid, simply because that is also part of the protocol that can be used for scabies - which is what I now assume this is.

Anyway, if you look under the hives section of EC, you'll see that toothpaste has been used before I tried it. I believe that person used a very different brand, and didn't mention it being whitening. If I were you, I'd just try what toothpaste you already use. I've also seen suggestions for mouthwash and am wondering if that and toothpaste share some ingredient that's helpful. That may be my next try. Good luck to you, and all of us.

Hi there! Not to scare you or anything, but many people have what is presently called Morgellons, and their first understanding is that they have scabies. Unfortunately, this is much more difficult to control or get rid of than scabies. Please try not to be afraid, if you look into it, as fear itself is very destructive, and makes this problem much worse. It almost teaches one to neccesarily "walk in balance," if you will.

That said, there are a number of things written online about modalities that have helped. The biggest concern is that your child is very young, and so you must treat with care, and under a doctor's supervision.

Is the child breasfed? Was the child only recently given solid foods? There is the possibility of dealing with a food allergy. I would check the listings on this site under both, if they are there.

I believe that anything that kills parasites, or builds immunity could help. There is something called Clarkia, which is essentially clove, wormwood, black walnut hulls. Again, I do not know if safe for an infant, so check with M. D. I had to inform my doctor about Morgellon's, who had no idea, and then he later said, "Everyone has it."

Colloidial silver may help. Essiac tea helps. I have had much success with Vit C lately, and also believe in drinking warm water and lemon. Morgellons hates coconut oil... Capsules, on a spoon, or topically. Sulphur soap is very soothing. Beta Glucans of various types seem to help. I have used many types, and like Immutol. Some use diatomaceous earth (DE). You must proceed with caution with a baby, and perhaps see a specialist or dermatologist. I would almost suggest staying with breastfeeding as much as possible.

I am learning much about undenatured, grass-fed origin, whey and glutathione, and believe that it approximates, or is, the best part of raw milk, which is an incredible healer, based on old books now out of print, one of which I just finished reading. Revelation speak about this: "They shall all eat whey."

No sugar, no bread, no juice. Pineapple is a good anti-parasitical, especially the hard inner core... Can chew on it or juice it. Lots of fresh organic veges and good water, not tap. Tap has flouride which destroys the immune system. That's enough for now. Know that many people are also suffering with this, worldwide, and is possibly contagious, or so it appears, or else only becomes a problem with weakened immune systems. After all that, perhaps it is just scabies, which is much easier to heal, by cleanliness and enzymes spray. But I doubt it. Remember that knowledge is power. Babe in prayers. --T.

I wanted to add my cent to this nightmare. Anyway no more bites still dealening with crawlies and pinpricks. I thight I was cured bc I wasn't getting bites and wasn't really itchy. Well the crawling on my face and head was driving me nuts. And I did treat the face and head and body with permethirn like 20 times ( no joking) and also did ivermectin it is very helpful but sometimes not curative depending if it makes it to te skin or not. Some livers seems to fight the venom more than others but there is a high cure among many. Except myself. Although I am trying it again bc I was showering after my dose and that washes off the oil of skin and also the ivermetin that kill them.

If you get lucky and ask your doctor for ivermectin( aka Stromectol ) ask him to give at least 3 doses at 250mc per kilo. Take it in the evening and do not eat 3hours prior the dose. Only drink grapefruit before and after and that will extend the efficacy of this med. Take it with any oil I took fish oil like 4 pills and this is very information do not take a shower for 2 days and keep the permethrin for 24 hours or more. 12 hours is not enough. Scabies in America are becoming resistant to permethirn. Everyone knows that.

Now I am also doing bleach baths and after the bath I am doing a 8 hour castor oil with Tea tree oil. Castor oil suffocated them big time. I did it. I did the castor for the first time last night bc I wanted to know if I was cured or not, due the lack of tracks bites etc and itchness but surely enough I was shocked bc once you do the castor oil wait like 15 minutes and they go crazy!!!!! The good thing about these bastards is that they need oxygen u cut that and you kill a lot. Now you have to continue this for like 6 weeks due to eggs.

We treated with permethrin. I had severe symptoms, my husband and I had just a few spots but My son had no symptoms. My son showed symptoms the day following treatment. We are going to try this treatment to ensure all the eggs are gone so we can get on with our lives. The carpets and furniture have been treated with diatomaceous earth and we have been following the rules on washing clothes, linens and shoes for 3 days already. We just need this gone and haven't found anything else online that people have said really works. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I suffered from scabbies for 8 months and no doctor told me that it is scabies and I tried so hard get rid of that horrible itch at night. When my wife had same symptoms then we checked the internet and find this site. Thank you to all of you for your posts. I have to say that ivermactin was the only solution to get rid of it and one dose is sufficient. I also bought Borax from Walmart and cleaned our entire house hold with bleach and borax for ten days. No doctor will prescribe ivermactin unless you push and find one doctor might write the prescription. The only place you may find Ivermactin is Smiths Pharmacy at Yonge-Lawrance location. No other drug store have it. As I said the bleach, borax and kwalada lotion does not cure. Ivermactin did work for me and my wife.

Borax and Hydrogen Peroxide Soak
Posted by Hayden (Nz) on 01/12/2012

My battle against these creatures was a full blown chemical assault. Borax was used for cleaning clothes, and also combined with hydrogen peroxide to mist around the house and on my skin after a shower. I also used orange oil extract, clove oil, coconut oil and two different types of chemical scabies treatments I alternated between, and used twice over 3 weeks. (be careful as they can be an accumulative poison if used too much) My concoction of chemicals cost around 120 us dollars, but was well worth it. (the two treatments I used were 'Derbac M' and 'Benhex Cream')

I actually got a little depressed after reading about the resilience these vermin can have. I've never done so much laundry :)

Anyone waging this war has my sympathy, but keep up with the cleaning and you'll preserver. I met my nemesis face to face at work as I dug 5 or 6 them out of my hand under a microscope. Needless to say I kept my secret quiet whilst worrying that I'd pass them on to someone else. I think there's a automatic association people make between scabies and uncleanliness/bad hygiene. I know I did, but to my relief I learned this isn't the case.

I'm contributing my story due to the appreciation I have for the advice people have given. I'm itching just thinking about the whole ordeal.

I had an allergic reaction to the mites which would bring up itchy bumps all over my stomach / legs. Try not to scratch these as they are not the mites, and will leave you with red bumps all over the show. I took antihistamines to alleviate the irritation, and in turn make life bearable.

Good luck :)

Griffo Again, To all the people who have acknowledged thier experience I thank You. Reading through posts I would like to say please people be aware that once you have thoroughly cleaned everything and taken sleep with cream on nights it is dependent upon how long you have had the mungrel paracite under your skin before treatment as to how long the affect will last. As I am up to eight months with the paracite I now have small sand like pebbles coming out of my butt, upper thighs and stomache. Not a lot like earlier in the sufferring term but enough to create an annoying itch. I stand by natural oils more so than the chemical based creams available. Ive used Eucalyptus/citrus oil spray on sores after a tea tree eucalyptus citrus oil bath. As I was stubborn in my belief I had scabies and went too long before treatment I find now that most of my body was infested. The paracite debris is still coming out of me but not at the grose level it was earlier. I am of the belief your skin needs to dry and die before the paracite debris exits your body. Such a horrible feeling but I believe it's fact. Therefore if many have bred under your skin before treatment (ie. lyclear)expect a long term of skin irritation while the paracite debris exits your body.

I experienced more sand like pebbles and smallish bumps arising many times after a bath where I rubbed my whole body with a course flannelette. Spraying eucalyptus and citrus oil on the affectted areas stung but did kill the itch many times. Im so glad it is nealy over. The other day I experienced a burst of blood coming from two snake bite like holes on my fore arm. This area has turned into a small rectangle area with tiny red dots making up the rectangle. DEBRIS EXITING.... Hurry the hell up I say... Nearly there nearly there... nearly there.

I again thank all the sufferring people who have offerred their experiences and do hope my information has helped someone.

My only question now is "What can bring back skin colour to the healed scabie sore scar tissue areas?"

I have used all the suggested thing to cure scabies. Some helped but most did not cure. I have had allergic reaction to some of the treatments such as too much bleach.

To change the PH balance and make my body uninviting to the pests, in desperation I used bottled lemon juice. Real lemon juice undiluted, right from the bottle. To be easier to apply poured it into a covered container and keep in the refrigerator. Oh, feels so good cold to sooth the itching. Would take my shower then after drying off. Use a clean wash rag soaked in the juice to totally wet my body down then allowed to air dry. Did this morning and night for two weeks, also vacuumed and washing bedding and clothes daily. Was mostly free of pests in 3 days but continued just to be sure. I have had scabies 5 times and my Dr says it is a pH imbalance problem so now I eat very little sweets, white flour products and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Sure don't want this again.

I wouldn't overthink it. The woman (above) is going to make herself sick Swiffering her floors 3X a day. I would use hot water and vinegar on tiles with some essential oil scent that is pleasant. That would disinfect the floors. You can track your progress by using a lint roller on your sheets. I use my iPhone flashlight to inspect the lint roller. I think bird mites got in somehow or I brought them in feeding the birds. A few months ago, my spouse spent a week at rehab, so I probably picked up something there as well. One guy said to use Irish Spring soap. I bought the aloe kind. It didn't sting, so I guess I'm better. I put aloe Vera gel on the red places. Get the purest kind. I might make the coconut oil with various essential oils to smother/kill them. I put cayenne pepper on biscuits and gravy. I drink tea with cloves. I put Listerine on cotton rounds in jars near each bed post. Next, I am going to use Windex Wipes on the windows and bed frame. I did a thorough vacuuming, but some heavy furniture is impossible to move. I might steam my cold water wash clothes. Remember, they live on a host—that's YOU!

I erraticated my scabies infection with clove oil alone in a period of 3 days. It's important to skin test it first after dilutting 10 drops to a cup of grapeseed/olive oil first. Specially on open wounds.

If one can work up to a high mix of clove oil which feels like a burning sensation, and leave this on for 15 minutes and wash off after, it will promtly kill all mites.

Posted by Godoverscabies (Atlanta, Georgia) on 08/05/2011

We had a recent scabies scare from my sister's daughter. Once we received the news that everyone in the home had to be treated, I started researching to find out what can I do to get rid of these things or better yet, do not let my son get infected. It was hard work and expensive, but it worked so far. NO ITCHING, NO RASHES, NO SCARRING, NO MORE PANICS! Here is what I did: FIRST, I PRAYED TO GOD FOR HEALING. Then I did all the rest of this stuff.

Night 1: I used the Permathrin that the doctor gave my sister to give to the family. I used it from neck to toes. I also used it on my son. I went and brought a spray bottle and labeled it "BLEACH. " I took all the decorations (towels, rugs, toilet cover, etc. ) out the bathroom. I made sure the bathroom was BARE. I sprayed the entire bathroom with bleach (all around the toilet, tub, shower, etc. ). Next morning, I showered, put on tea tree oil mixed with Jergen's lotion and went to work. Before I went to work, I put all the linen I slept on and all my clothing in the washing machine in hot water, borax, and liquid detergent. After work, I went and brought a mattress cover to put on the mattress.

Night 2: I took another spray bottle and did part bleach and part water. I sprayed myself down with the bleach and water. I made sure my entire body was covered in bleach and water. I DID NOT TAKE A BATH. I let the solution soaked in my skin overnight. I put fresh linen on my bed. I took the linen that I washed that morning and put it in the laundry room in a basket and let it sat there for four days. Next morning I took a shower and washed with OLIVE OIL and DIAL soap. I DID NOT DRY OFF WITH A TOWEL. Instead, I air dried. Afterwards, I sprayed myseld with Peroxide and put on the Jergens lotion mixed with Tea tree oil. I took the linen off the bed and put it in the washing machine. I sprayed the mattress cover down with bleach and water and wiped it down.

Night 3: I took a bath in Borax, Epsom Salt, and Peroxide. What I did was got another spray bottle and filled it up with peroxide. I sprayed my entire body with Peroxide, then I sat in a tub of hot water with Epsom Salt and Peroxide. I used the antibacterial soap and Borax to wash areas I thought was infected. Again, I did not towel dry. I air dried, then I applied the Tea Tree oil and Jergens lotion. I put fresh linen on the bed and took the other linen out the washing machine and sat in in the laundry room for four days.

Night 4: I took another spray bottle and did part bleach and part water.

Night 5: I used the Permathrin treatment again.

Night 6: I did the bleach treatment again.

The reason I did this is because you have to continue to fight these things every night for a while to get rid of the the live ones and the unborn ones. I did this for 10 days. Everytime, I used the bathroom, I bleached everything down. I also went to Wal-Mart and brought Hartz tick and flea spray. It has 28% Permathrin in it. I sprayed all my furniture down and my carpets. It also stops reinfestation for 14 days. My son, boyfriend, and I was staying in my room for a couple of nights until the rest of the home was being treated. Then, we moved to the guest bedroom until my room was being treated with the Hartz tick and flea spray. I also set aside five (5) sheet sets for my bed. Every morning, I would wash the linen in hot water and dry in a hot dryer, but I would not reuse it for five days. The sheets were taking turns. Also whenever a new bump would appear. I would used Hand Santizer and get a piece of tissue and rub the hand sanitizer real hard into the bump. Then I wil follow up and spray it lightly with the part bleach and part water.

This is a lot of work, but I have not had anymore problems at all. BUT to be on the safe side, Every 3-5 days now, I spray myself with Peroxide and Borax from neck down to my feet to make sure they are all gone and because I am so paranoid of them returning. Hope this information help some people suffering from this stuff.
