Diet, Hydrogen Peroxide, Rubbing Alcohol, Oregano Oil

Hello Folks, I've been coming to this forum for awhile, usually after I get a breakout of GH and I've tried several of the methods here with some success so I thought I would share my experience. I get breakouts 2 or 3 times a year and here is what I've found helps the most. First off I can not stress the importance of a healthy diet (No sugar!!! ) the next most important thing is Sleep make sure you get lots of it. When I get any signs of outbreaks I immediately apply 70% Rubbing alchol to the area a few times a day, take massive doses of Oil of Oreganol 20 drops under the tongue 3x per day and if I catch it fast enough and watch my diet and sleep well I can usually avoid an outbreak altogether. If it does outbreak well then I keep applying rubbing alchol and 3% hydrogen peroxide throught the first several days 4 to 5x per day with a cotton swab and it usually dries up pretty quick and reduces the healing time. It doesn't always work but it works more often then not. Good luck and I encourage others to keep posting as well as follow ups to what happens to you after treatments! If we team up we can make a difference together.
Oregano Oil

Hello, February 4th, of this year, I contracted genital herpes. As soon as I felt a sore, I applied garlic and ACV. It was to no avail. Now I am applying Vitamin E (d) and Oil of Oregano, and finally! The sores are clearing up. I am wondering if anyone knows if this could possibly be the first and last time I see sores. Its a horrific experience. I'm praying its the last time. I am on a generic form of Valtrex as well. I am going to continue taking the Oil of Oregano by mouth daily and apply it topically. The sores are clearing up. Does anyone know if the OO will really cure this awful virus?

I used [an] antiviral cleanse from within a month of the first outbreak 05/2012 initial hsv1. It does require an all raw diet -and a lots of distilled or alkaline water for 21 days. The herbs did not make me sick. I needed to probably do this cleanse and although I was hoping my nightmare would've ended immediately... It didn't BUT I realize that it might have helped me with not getting new outbreaks. I think it has helped alot. I don't have lesions that I can see, everything is inside I guess. (I had one bad 4 day period a month ago that I was completely not feeling well all over.)
I have been trying herbal treatments over pharmaceuticals because I'm still wanting to knock this out of my system for good. I still have hope that my life will be normal again one day. No external sores just bouts of what feels like vaginitis/or b. v. feeling. When I get that I put coconut oil on external area. I tried to take oil of oregano but it made me gag so I wasn't really going to keep that up. I'm going to try again on that I'm just afraid that its killing the good bacteria too. (need to research more). I eat alot of yogurt. I take an extract of astragulus(sp), echinacea, and goldenseal root. I also read about immunity building herbals like moringa leaf (vitamin c rich) and pau d'arco.
Also, one more thing - I have read that immune system is tied up with the colon so it makes sense to try to keep the colon clean as much as possible - I've eliminated beef (never eat pork) eat more fish, minimal chicken/turkey. I try to cook everything with fresh garlic gloves and I made my own apple cider vinegar /extra virgin olive oil/fresh garlic & spices salad dressing.
I think somewhere on here someone asked the question about addressing the nerve activity that seems to be how the virus lies dormant in the nerves. Anyone know anything about nervine herbs like st. Johns wort or anything? That seems to me to be the key to killing it. Are we able to block the replication with nervines?
I love this place earthclinic - finally I feel like I'm not alone... :|

Wow. I'm so impressed with this website. People actually use the forbidden word (cure) and are not kicked off.
Everyone I've read had a positive experience with prunella vulgaris but one. I am "symptom free" after drinking prunella vulgaris tea for several months every day. You can also use the tea to put on outbreaks.
This might seem like a lot of tea but I had the virus for decades. My friend who has MS (also a herpes virus) is drinking it now and it has changed his life. I found information about it on a blog that lists "medical research and the herpes viruses" by a curandera. It's great to hear about the onion cure and the flounder cure too! I will incorporate these into my diet.

I tried ACV and for the first few days it did help with some relief of swelling and itching but aft 4 days now the area is irratated and dried out and almost burnt and the lesions are still as they would be normally at this phase so I would say AVC helps but is not anything outstanding or great. As a matter of fact I think it sort of made things a little worse, so use carefully.

Just want to say that I am so happy to have found this website. I wish that I would have found it two years as I was searching for answers that long ago. I have had herpes inside of my mouth for as long as I can remember. The outbreaks have become less frequent as I have gotten older but when they do occur they are most painful as I usually get multiple lesions inside my mouth for over a week. Two years ago I found a lesion just outside the opening to my v-----. I assumed that I had genital herpes as I had been very sexually active with several partners in a short time period. However, the doctor said that I had Herpes I which is "supposed" to stay in the mouth but that I had contracted it from oral sex. So for two years I am not sure if I have had another outbreak or not. I have had some redness and soreness but no visible soreness. I also have given it some thought and am thinking that I more than likely did not contract this by being promiscuous. I think that I may have contracted this from my husband. I have been married twice for five years each time and both husbands would get herpes on the outside of their lips. I have had some of the same minor symptoms for years but since I had NO idea that it was even possible to contract oral herpes "down below" I guess I ignored any minor symptoms had. As far as I know I have not given it to any one else. I have a new partner now and I don't think he is thrilled about it. I know this is a medical question but can anyone help me get this question answered. If I have HS1 down there and he has never had herpes his whole life - he is 43 - can he still get it and does it then convert to HS2 for him if he does get it????
Anyway, I got a terrible breakout both in my mouth and down there last week when I went on vacation. Thank GOD for this site. I had sugarfree gum, sugar free drinks and sugarfree energy drinks. I immediately bought some L Lysine which made everything in my mouth disappear within a couple days. Now I am trying the apple cider vinegar for down there. It has given me some relief but I think I need to try some of the other remedies. I am most happy to find out all the preventative things that I can do! I drink a lot of wine and eat a little chocolate almost every day. I was even using splenda in my tea. I think the aspartame is what did it for me though. I got rid of the splenda and bought stevia yesterday.
Again thank you.

Treatment for herpes
If anyone there is suffering from herpes virus, please try applying coconut oil on the affected area. Even if you don't have an outbreak you can still rub coconut oil on the affected areas twice daily to stop an outbreak. Coconut oils are easily available in any Indian shops. You can also make it at home. Take some milk from coconut and boil it under high temperature. Keep boiling until all the milk evaporaes. Squeeze the white substance that is left and you will get pure coconut oil. Please try, this oil treatment it really works. You don't have to spend so much money on antibiotics and it is harmless to your body. Goodluck and best wishes

What great responses! I must commend both of you for your courageous outlook. I have experienced herpes for many years. Exercising and yoga does strengthen the immune system - I didn't have an outbreak for at least 5 years. At that time, I stopped exercising! Minimize stress and you will indeed counteract breakouts. Stay encouraged.

I was diagnosed with Herpes over 3 years ago and like most newly diagnosed people, I thought my life was over. I believed the doctors when they told me there was no cure, I took their drugs and didn't ask questions. That is until I became fed up with having an outbreak every month. I started researching, getting the facts and the truth about this virus. Through my research I came across Red Marine Algae. All I can tell you is that I stopped taking Valtrex, (which actually made me feel more sick and sluggish) and started taking RMA. At the first sign of an outbreak, I took 4 pills daily on an empty stomach with plenty of water and continued this for 60 days, even after the outbreak was gone. The first time I tried RMA I was happy with how quickly I healed and the outbreak was less severe than the outbreaks I had on Valtrex. I only had one more outbreak and did the same thing...took the pills (which you're supposed to take for at least two months after your intial sign of an outbreak to help wipe it out). Since then I haven't had an outbreak. I have been outbreak free for two years and two months! Along with that I also changed my eating habits, eliminating soda, fast food, processed sugars and flours, trans-fats, high-fructose corn syrup and beef. Exercise also helps, even if it is just walking 20 minutes a day. All I have to say is that RMA has worked for me and I have tried a lot of things. For the first year I took Valtrex and suffered every month, the past two and a half years I tried RMA twice and have seen incredible results. My advice is to do your own research, use common sense and keep your body happy and healthy!! There is hope, don't give up!

CURE TO GENITAL HERPES: Hydro Peroxide DMSO (human grade) Apply one at a time to the area where the breakout ocurred. This combination seals the nerve endings (virus path), and you are virtually cured. Is it for everyone? I don't know, but I am virus free for 11 yrs now.
Lecithin
Posted by Ena (Knoxville, TN) on 08/11/2021
I've been using DMSO, lemon juice and coconut oil with good results but not a cure because, after many months, a horrendous outbreak just came on for no reason. I purchased some non-gmo soy lecithin granules. The recommended dose is 7.5 grams a day with a meal. You can get the granules from sunflowers if you have a soy allergy. I got them from a health good supplement store. I sprinkled the loose granules over a salad. I couldn't really taste them and didn't notice them in the salad. Just tasted alone without anything.... they are still pretty tasteless.... maybe they taste mildly like a little bit of butter..... anyway, going to try these and keep you posted on the progress. Still going to take lots of vitamin C, B Complex, Vitamin D3, high quality multivitamin. I drink very little alcohol and try to stay away from processed sugar and too many starchy carbs. Let's see what happens!

Oregano Oil for Herpes Outbreaks:
I happened upon this about 4 years ago, I've had herpes now for several years and break out about twice a year or sometimes more, if I am not getting enough sleep.
I was using Oregano oil for something unrelated during the beginning stages of a herpes outbreak. Those who have herpes recognize the pain that comes with the beginning of an outbreak. After taking the oregano oil, the outbreak was very mild and I continued the oregano oil for a few days until the outbreak disappeared altogether.
For the last 4 years or so, this has worked for me every single time I've had an outbreak. I've never had a severe or painful one since, as long as I take oregano oil for about 3 days from the onset of the symptoms.
Amount: I cannot take the taste of oregano oil, so I buy the oil and I fill up an empty capsule and swallow it with water, followed by a glass of water. I usually take one capsule, twice a day for about 3 days. At first I thought it was coincidence, but for me this is tried and true.
I hope this helps others.
I wonder if this would eventually kill the virus by taking it daily for a prolonged period of time?? However, I don't know how healthy it is to take Oregano oil on a daily basis.
Any feedback to these questions would be very much appreciated.

Hi,, I only found your site last week, and was very very interested to read what others suffering with H2,had found to be beneficial, then as luck or not would have it, i had an OB, stress driven i think, i take a valtrex daily, multi-vite, and try to eat healthy, etc ,, normally my OB'S take up to 4-8 days to fade and go away , but i feel dirty and out of sorts, it is really a strange feeling, anyway i tried the acetone nail polish remover,, dabbed it onto the dam thing,3-4 times a day ,, bought a bottle of lysine, threw back about 3 grams a day, and doubled my valtrex for 3 days, and ill tell you, it started to fade the next day , smoothed out, and started to shrink, i can only really put it down to the acetone nail polish remover, didnt sting, but tingled a bit,, who ever thought that up,, give them a medal, you need the preventative stuff for sure, but when OB happen, use the nail polish remover,, dam good stuff

I was diagnosed in 1985 with GH, I have found that Echinacea has reduced attacks to once a year. When I get the first signs of an attack I take 20 drops in water 3 times a day, after 2 days its gone. I have also noticed that attacks are very much related to stress and that daily meditation has helped me a great deal in reducing attacks.

I suffered greatly from genital herpe
s on a regular basis until I tried hydrogen peroxide. I was in the painful blister stage when I first tried it, and applied H2O2 with a cotton ball to the area, almost "scubbing" the blisters down because they were so painful and the area was so itchy. Miracle of miracles--it relieved the pain and itch almost immediately, and the next day the problem was reduced by 95%.
Now if I have an outbreak I usually ignore it until it gets uncomfortable, then apply the H202. It seems to be most effective when blisters have formed or are at least beginning, but I have also found I could prevent it from reaching that point by applying earlier.
Knowing that it is easy to fix once it gets worse, I usally can't be bothered to get out the hydrogen peroxide until it gets annoying. I don't pass on the chocolate or other foods that cause breakouts either anymore. I hope you will try it and that it will be a miracle for you as it has been for me.

This site is a blessing is all I can say. I tried almost every remedy on the site for genital herpes and they didn't work for me personally. My herpes is somewhat asymptomatic i don't have any pain just an itchy bump. Last year I had one that broke open and my doctor said it was herpes. Anyway I got another this past monday so I bought stabalized oxygen last night. I added 8 drops to a 8 oz glass of water before i went to bed. This morning the bump is almost gone and no more itch!!! I used and oxygen that also has amino acid & trace minerals. The studies and testimonials i've read about oxygenation made sense to me. I think you need to kill the virus from the inside out ... i will get tested again I pray for a negative test . Best of luck to all of you. I've also prayed alot I feel God led me to a cure.

Posted: Sat Dec 15, 2007 5:26 pm Post subject: Prunella vulgaris explained further' '
Dear All,
I have been suffering from HSV-2 for nearly a year. Constant outbreaks were driving me made. I have tried Zinc and Acyclovir, with very little success. Then in Sept 07, I read on the an article on the 'Chemical properties, mode of action, and in vivo anti-herpes activities of alignin-carbohydrate complex from Prunella vulgaris. By Yongwen Zhang, Paul Pui-Hay But, Vincent Eng-Choon Ooi, Hong-Xi Xu, Gillian D Delaney, Spencer H S Lee, Song F Lee, Antiviral Res, 75:3:242-9 (Sep 2007)'.
I went to my local Chinese herbalist and bought a 160g of Prunella vulgaris ( self heal) for AUS$4 a bag. I was advised by the Chinese medicine practitioner to divided the bag into 4 by 40grams and to make a tea from each 40g part. I was to boil 5 cups of water down to 3 cups and, and drink. Do this for 4 days. From day 1 this really aided in shorting the severity and length of the outbreak.
I have been making this tea on and off since and I have only had one outbreak since then, Sept., versus what seemed a constant outbreak.
I tried another experiment. I concentrated about 1 cup of Prunella Tea, down to 1 tablespoon and mixed it with an acqua lotion from the local pharmacy. This lotion is frequently used to 'add' other lotions to it. You local pharmacy will have it and it is fairly inexpensive. I paid AUS$12 for 750g jar of it. I mixed roughly the 1 tablespoon of liquid and highly concentrated Prunella vulgaris with ~-7- 10 tablespoons of the cream. I apply it once in the morning and once at night to the infected area. Keep in cool in the fridge. It feels nice when you put it on and does not sting.
My one and only outbreak over the last ~3 months lasted 2 days, without pain or discomfort. The outbreak place is in a crease on my leg, where I get eczema frequently. The added benefit of this cream is that my eczema has also disappeared.
Please note: I am not selling anything nor trying to encourage the sale of a product for self gain. The Prunella vulgaris has definitely made a positive difference to me and is an very inexpensive solution. I am sharing my experience with you, for your own information.
I have researched Prunella vulgaris (aka Self Heal) a fair bit and have not seen any evidence, either medical or private that states there is any risks to taking Prunella vulgaris as an oral or topical. If you should find an article, please advise.

For genital herpies. You can get a thin needle and burn it with a match to sterilize it. You have to pucture the bubbles of herpies with one hand and have a tissue in the other hand to soke up the juice. You will also pore Hydrogen Peroxide over the open cuts so oxigen gets in there. You only use the needle method if your herpies has bubbled out. If you have open sores you just need to pore peroxide on it. This is not a cure but it help the healing fast.
