I use a plant from kenya called fragipani. It cures herpes 1 and 2 by just applying its juice on the sore. It will burn when applying first but you'll be fine in 10-15min. try it, it's easy to get it.

Black Tea is a remedy to drink against hsv, also, placing a tea tea bag on the sores, truly desperate do both (the tea bag should be luke warm for placing on sore leave for a good bit & do time & again throughout the day-also, place tea or tea bag in a plastic in freezer and do the treatment-works! It is an antioxidant naturally & the Tannin acid makes it unbearable for the virus! Hope this helps anyone-I know that this ailment is a sentence in hell for me for the past 14 years! I would not wish it upon my worse enemy trust me.

Was just reading up on this site on natural cures for Herpes 2 with a cup of black tea in my hand. Thought, "Gee, I can try this out right now", took the warm tea bag, broke it open, and applied the black leaves on the sores (really packed 'em in good, as I am a woman) and continued to read for another half hour. Upon gathering up the leaves and washing them away, ahhhhhhh, relief! The most I have felt in more than a week! I cannot believe that my infection decided to take a turn for the better just as I applied those leaves. There must be a connection! Goodby Valtrex!! It has made me very forgetful and detached. I was diagnosed with genital herpes in 1999. It was a shock to my system, in more ways than one. The nasty bleeding scabs, the weeping sores, the pain - and the horrible sensation on the thighs, like cats clawing at wet skin. (That's just my description.) I heard about coconut oil a year ago and decided to try it. I was guided to take it this way: A tablespoonful in a glass of clear warm water, mix it up, melt it, and drink it. I took it three times a day at regular intervals. I came off my medication, Ayclovir, and waited for the usual attack. (This was after a few months of taking the oil.) But nothing happened. In order to stimulate an attack, to force it, I ate my old 'enemies' - peanuts and bananas, in great quantities, both guaranteed to cause a herpes outbreak. But nothing happened. I have been clear of the genital herpes now for at least six months, perhaps more, and the only thing I want now is to have a blood test to be absolutely sure the infection has gone. Of course doctors will say that the virus is incurable, but something has happened here, something profound and unusual. I have an inner certainty that the virus has been battered about by the oil, to such an extent it has no power left. Of course, I may be wrong. But there is no sign of it.

There is a great deal of recent research which testifies that a cure for herpes lies in a plant 'Prunella Vulgaris'. Prunella Vulgaris is also known as all-heal, heal all, woundwort, self heal. Althought this sounds far-fetched, I wouldn't be surprised if this works and has been hidden from the public. I have not tried this yet but I intend too at some time in the future, followed by a blood test.

Since taking Lysine supplements and eating more veg I have not had any problems with outbreaks unless my immune system is weak. If I am sick for some reason and my immune system is occupied, then I get outbreaks almost every time.

after reading most the articles placed here, I did some research on the value of Prunella vulgaris, I had a herbalist make up some in a cream at 10% and have used it to great effect , although I think it turns my sperm brown , I have had NO outbreaks since I started using the cream , I have not taken a tincture orally but I intend to cheers and thanks

I have been suffering from HSV-2 for nearly a year. Constant outbreaks were driving me made. I have tried Zinc and Acyclovir, with very little success. Then in Sept 07, I read on the an article on the 'Chemical properties, mode of action, and in vivo anti-herpes activities of alignin-carbohydrate complex from Prunella vulgaris. I went to my local Chinese herbalist and bought a 160g of Prunella vulgaris ( self heal) for AUS$4 a bag. I was advised by the Chinese medicine practitioner to divided the bag into 4 by 40grams and to make a tea from each 40g part. I was to boil 5 cups of water down to 3 cups and, and drink. Do this for 4 days. From day 1 this really aided in shorting the severity and length of the outbreak.

I have been making this tea on and off since and I have only had one outbreak since then, Sept., versus what seemed a constant outbreak.

I tried another experiment. I concentrated about 1 cup of Prunella Tea, down to 1 tablespoon and mixed it with an acqua lotion from the local pharmacy. This lotion is frequently used to 'add' other lotions to it. You local pharmacy will have it and it is fairly inexpensive. I paid AUS$12 for 750g jar of it. I mixed roughly the 1 tablespoon of liquid and highly concentrated Prunella vulgaris with ~-7- 10 tablespoons of the cream. I apply it once in the morning and once at night to the infected area. Keep in cool in the fridge. It feels nice when you put it on and does not sting.

My one and only outbreak over the last ~3 months lasted 2 days, without pain or discomfort. The outbreak place is in a crease on my leg, where I get eczema frequently. The added benefit of this cream is that my eczema has also disappeared.

Please note: I am not selling anything nor trying to encourage the sale of a product for self gain. The Prunella vulgaris has definitely made a positive difference to me and is an very inexpensive solution. I am sharing my experience with you, for your own information.

I have researched Prunella vulgaris (aka Self Heal) a fair bit and have not seen any evidence, either medical or private that states there is any risks to taking Prunella vulgaris as an oral or topical. If you should find an article, please advise.

yesterday my penis was so very swollen. i use a combination of iodine to stop the itch and Prunella Vulgaris is a herb which is availible anywhere in the world. its very cheap in singapore only $1/ for 100 grams. i boil it and drink it every 4 hours and also apply it on my penis. 1 day later the swell is gone the itch almost gone and the boils gone no break-up of painfull wounds. i also took 2 pills of grape seed extract and neem extract. i belieive that the iodine and Prunella Vulgaris is the most effective to fight the herpes viurs. ipdine will burn about 2 minutes so apply a little by little on small areas. this will work a wonder.wish you best. i am trying other herps and keep you posted.

PRUNELLA VULGARIS is easyly availible in the chinese medical shop. its dry dark brown or black in color.those who don't know where to get it from.

Apple Cider Vinegar. I am a former wrestler who contracted herpes from wrestling mats. Doctors gave me the wrong diagnoses so I ended up having it on the side of my face for about three weeks. I finally researched the symptoms for myself and once I figured out it was herpes I started searching for natural cures. I heard alot on apple cider vinegar so I gave it a try. From my experience it is not a fix it right away cure, but it does definitely speed things up. Alot of it depends on how soon you start using it. If I notice something forming in the morning, but don't recognize it as herpes or don't have the means to start treating it till the end of the day or the next morning then it usually takes about 4-5 days to clear it up. If I notice it first thing in the morning, recognize it and start treating it immediately, then it will be cleared up usually within two days.

I have had genital herpes for quite some time but have had few problems pop up over the years. But when they do, it's devastating. I've tried all kinds of pharmaceutical ointments and they work eventually after a period of days have gone by. The other day I had a "breakout of one". And if you have this problem ONE is all you need to screw up the next week to 10 days. I had been reading about apple cider vinegar and decided to put it on me but a bandaid was out of the question for me and the area concerned. So I did this. Before bed I soaked the first 4 inches of an ace bandage wrap in apple cider vinegar...both sides until it was saturated. I then wrapped this around my unit on the problem area, continuously wrapping until the wrap was finished. It was only about 12 inches long. I then put a piece of tape over the wrap to hold it in place and let the ACV do its work and went to bed. Holy crap! The next day the swelling was completely gone and the blister was done. With the exception of me knowing where the blister was you can't even tell I've had anything. Just because I'm overly cautious I'm gonna do it again tonight.

Women, I would suggest soaking a cotton ball down and using a bandaid that can peel off easily...maybe children's bandaids? Regardless, do it and let it work overnight while you sleep. ACV won't bother your skin at all. Hope this helps at least one person.

I was diagnosed with Genital Herpes last year and all I can say that is destroying me, little by little. I was happy to have found your site, you were a Godsend! This month has been a horrible month, lots of stress in my life, so you all know what that means, I've had outbreak after outbreak! I was desperate, since I hate taking drugs I decided to try Apple Cider Vinegar and for the most part it worked right away. No inching or tingling, all gone. But nothing is perfect. I used it on a breakout on my left butt cheek (it was pretty bad) and again it worked right away, but the skin in that area has now become raw hamburger meat, it's so tender, I can hardly sit down! Could it be that I applied it incorrectly? Please can someone help me out??!!! I love the instant results that I get from using ACV, but the aftermath has been a bitch!!!!!!

Bitter Melon for Herpes! I had started to have regular outbreaks of genital herpes and I scrambled everywhere for a cure. I found that Bitter Melon is used for Acyclovir resistent herpes so I figured if it works for Acyclovir resistent herpes it must work wonders for the regular herpes. I take it as directed and I have not had any outbreaks since then. When I first started taking it my outbreaks became less and less and less bothersome until I have had no outbreaks. I had an outbreak recently because I stoped taking the Bitter Melon but it was only for two days and I got right back on the Bitter melon and I'm all good now! I thank God for all His herbs He provided for us!!! I prefer the Solaray brand which is the most effective for me. It's hard to find in stores so you're better off buying it from Amazon.com which makes it a bit pricey but TRUST me it's worth it. 'I hope this will help many of you and God bless!

My doctor just called me to give me the worst news of my life. he told me I had herpes! I had no outbreaks ever, not even a cold sore, I asked him if by any chance the results could be a false positive and he told me yes. so i have to wait for 3mths to be retested. the reason i got the test was because for the last 7 years i have gotten a vaginal discharge almost like a yeast infection..I took an HIV test and that was negative so my doctor said lets take this test so that we can see if thats what it is, and sure enough I get the worst news of my life. anyone ever experienced this?

To SallySue from Chicago (ll/20/07) Hey, be happy that your diagnosis was herpes and not worse. For herpes, chicken pox, shingles or other virus, adults take 2grams L-Lysine (2000mgm) 4 times a day. Many viruses can recur, as anyone who has had a cold sore (herpes simplex) can tell you. If you restart the lysine at' the first sign of recurrence, it will be greatly improved the next day. I take L-lysine for colds, flu, cold sores, or any other viral ailment.

I contracted herpes several years ago and after the first outbreak all the other ones have been mild and only happend 3-4 times a year, but suddenly last week I did get quite a strong outbreak, still not as bad as the first one, but quite major. Its already subsided after 4-5 days as I have been megadosing on Vitamin C and most importantly Lysine. 6g of C and 4 g of lysine I would suggest that suppplimentation of lysine, around 1500-2000 mg every day forever will help with mitigating recurances.
