Hello, constipation is not fun and there are many natural cures that work. I wanted to add another natural remedy because it works and its so simple. 1) Water; the body needs water. Usually when people wake up, they have coffee or some type of diuretic [cafefine], which is horrible if you have constipation. Drinking 1 glass of water as soon as you wake up is what our body yearns for. Drinking 1 glass of water (at room temperature)in the morning cured my constipation within 1 week. Of course during the day, you should drink more water, but first thing in the morning is the crucial step. 2) Carrots; not only are carrots delicious, they save our eyesight, protect our hearts, combats cancer, promotes weight loss, AND PREVENTS CONSTIPATION. I do not have constipation anymore, I hope this can help someone else. God Bless.

Weight-Bearing Exercises, Psoas Muscle Massage
★★★★★
In addition to avoiding or minimizing constipating foods, exercising with weights (resistance training, weight lifting) using moderate weights can help relieve constipation. Sometimes relief can be felt quickly, sometimes several hours later.
Quora in response to - Does a gym workout like weight lifting help with digestive issues? features a long AI response about the many benefits of resistance training (weight lifting) for relief. Squats, lifts, presses and rows are recommended. But overstraining must be avoided.
Psoas muscle massage can also help. A respondent, Tara Marie on Quora, answering - Does getting a massage help with digestion? mentioned that massaging the Psoas for twenty minutes helped a stroke victim. There is a simple video on Psoas release titled: Excellent SELF Manual Release Technique for PSOAS MAJOR - https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-_XizhE2i9E
It is important to minimize fried foods, dense foods (dense proteins), for some people dairy and for some people gluten, white rice, and iron and calcium supplements - and foods containing these supplements such as white flour and many breakfast cereals, (Ferrous fumarate is an exception. It is a form of iron that is not constipating.)
Although, for some people gluten should be minimized, a study showed that more effective than laxatives is rye bread, made only from 100% whole rye flour.
A quarter or a third teaspoon Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) and a pinch or two of Cream of Tartar (potassium bitartrate) in a half cup of water in the evening may also be helpful. Too much Magnesium may cause dependency and also eventually stop working, so the less the better, and preferably not every day. Cream of Tartar (which may cause weight gain) is very high in Potassium and overdosing (taking tablespoons) may cause heart arrhythmia.
Yellow Dock Tea
★★★★★
I have suffered from constipation for many years and this is a godsend remedy. You can buy yellow dock tea online for steeping or make your own tea from the dried root. I put about two teaspoons of yellow dock root in a metal tea strainer and pour boiling water over it and allow it to steep until the tea is a rich yellow tan. Begin with small doses for best results and work up to the dose that gives you results. Some people have to drink more than a cup a day for chronic problems. If you take too much yellow dock you can have intestinal cramps, so begin slowly for best results.
If you have had chronic constipation for many years with no help from the usual remedies, I highly recommend yellow dock tea. It has been a miracle herb for me. If the flavor is too bitter, mix some molasses with the hot tea. It's delicious!
