Quickly went back on tumeric and the one boil was down and not tender in 4 days. the other boil is in, lets say a tender subject area it has not grown any bigger and has jet to get big. so here is hoping it doesn't. Thanks for your website -- finally there is hope for people with boils.

I first wrote to you about my reoccuring boils that started almost 2 years ago in June. I have tried the turmeric fist by the powder with water(sorry I couldn't take the taste. So I ordered the pills and put iodine on the boil itself. I was almost 2 months without a boil but I quit takeing the turmeric and low and behold it came back I know now that I will probable have to take this for the rest of my life but if that is what it takes so be it. Is there a difference in taking the powder or the pills? is one better than the other? All I know is that before turmeric my boils were unbearable, the two I have now are just a little uncomfortable, but nothing like they once were. Bless this site.

Turmeric Remedy: I have had a recurring problem with Boils on my back side, and upper leg. They can grow to be quite large in size, around the size of a plum. They often occur in the same spot, but lately they have been showing up in new locations. I have tried many different remedies and recently tried Turmeric. Turmeric has worked the best and I'm sold on it. I had 3 boils that were in the early stages, I was getting ready to take time off and prepare for a few days of epson salt baths and heat pads. I came across this site and began the turmeric around 6pm. By the next morning the boils had reduced about 75%. After two days only a very small indication left. This is going to help me manage this condition far more effectively than the broad antibiotics that the doctors were giving me.

I first got a boil (on my back) after a trip to the beach in Thailand last year; I went to see a doctor and after a course of antibiotics and much suffering it expelled cast quantities of pus and disappeared. I thought that was the end of the story.

This year, however, I noticed a small itchy area on my left forearm, and assuming it was a zit, tried to squeeze it. It then got infected and became a large boil. This time I only treated it with hot compresses and it drained after about 2 weeks of agonizing pain.

Finally, I received a third boil and a sty almost simultaneously about a month after my second boil; given that it was a year between the first and second I wasn't too worried, but with the third I began to panic. After attempting to let it heal by itself for a few days, it became purple and swelled to about half the size of a golf ball. I started panicking and found this site, and immediately ran out to buy turmeric in pill form. I then started taking 1600mg every mealtime (which is, I recognize, a fairly excessive dose, but I was driven by desperation). Within 2 days both the boil and the sty had erupted. (I should also say that on the last day prior to the eruption I again began taking antibiotics- Fluoxacillin). Turmeric works wonders. I'm just now worried because there's an extremely itchy sore area on my behind, but it's not red and there's no visible spot- here's hoping it's not another boil, especially since I haven't stopped taking turmeric OR the antibiotics!

Turmeric cured my constant struggle in battling uncomfortable boils. I found this site in the midst of a painful attack from a giant boil on my forehead. The boil was hard, not coming to a head, growing everyday, very red and was causing severe headaches. On day 8 (when nothing was working like always- not even a hot compress) I found this site and ran to the grocery store to get turmeric. They only had the powder form so I bought 2 jars! First, I made a paste with some milk, applied it to the boil and covered with a band aide. Then I drank two lg warm glasses of water filled with a heaping teaspoon of the spice! Sure it tastes gross (and stains so don't drool or spit out the turmeric cocktail!)but when I woke the next morning, the boil was 1/2 the size and the pain was virtually gone. Yes, it was GONE! Now its my second full day on my turmeric diet and I feel like a new woman. Last night I put turmeric in my tea and I also had a glass in milk. I cant believe at 35, knowing how long I have struggled with boils and cysts, that I finally found this site--and relief-- better yet, a cure. I am going to share this information with others. Most importantly, I have purchased Neem and Turmeric capsules. I am going to incorporate them into my regular diet/vitamin regime to prevent the boils from recurring. Thank you so much for sharing this site; I can't thank you enough!

Was having numerous outbreaks of boils last year. It started after neglecting a bout of heat rash which turned in to a jock itch, then the boils started coming. My stress level was high and felt my immune system getting low due to long hours at work and little sleep and poor nutrition. Was looking for info on boils and came across this site and turmeric. Had some turmeric in the spice cabinet and tried some. Could tell it was doing something because of feeling flushed after a few minutes. Liked it so much started to use it in capsule form. Did not get any boils since then. It's been since December. Also joint pain in my finger has greatly diminished. Started taking my vitamins and supplements again and after a couple of months started feeling normal again. Also, two days after starting on my vitamins and turmeric, my jock disappeared never to return so far. And I used about five cans of the Jock Itch Spray during a couple months trying to get rid of it. But still have a little problem with a planter wart on my heel. Due to long hours standing, seemed to turn the heel a little discolored. Looked around for info on heel getting discolored but have not found anything. Been soaking it in a Tea Tree Oil bath with a little improvement. Also been using tea tree oil as a shampoo and been noticing new hair growth on my head after a few days. Good product. Thanks Ted for all the great info you share with everyone. Mahalo from Hawaii

Turmeric worked. About a week and a half ago my mother developed some boils on her legs. since it was the weekend the doctors office was closed. My mother doesnt have any health insurance.so I went on this site to look for something that can help her for the next few days until I could get her in to the doctors. I went to Albertson and they didnt have it, so I went to GNC and purchased Turmeric tablets for about 22.00 dollars. she started taking it and I checked in with her everyday for about a week. She was amazed that she felt a lot better (she couldnt even walk before) and was walking fine. She went to the doctors and they told her she to take antibiotics for 20 days. She did tell me that she is truly amazed how these tablets worked. thank you for you wonderful site!

I have had a condition called Hidradentitis for over 15 years. I have been treated with antibiotics and antibiotic creams all this time with little to no lasting effects. My doctor wants to perform surgery to which I have said no because there is an 80% chance of reoccurence. Imagine my shock when a friend told me about this site and I read with interest many letters regarding using turmeric to get rid of this problem. I was in the middle of a flare up and started using turmeric on March 22, 2007 and within days it began to subside. It is now April 1 and I continue to take 3 capsules per day and I am almost completely healed. It has been an amazing journey for me as I never thought I would see the day that this would clear up. I was not a believer of the holistic approach to cures but after using this for less than two weeks and to see the results I am a believer. Keep up the great work and I will continue to use your site and have recommended to family and friends. Sincerely, Karen

I am now in the 3rd week since beginning turmeric. I am taking 600mg, 3X daily and my boils/blisters are almost gone. YEA!! My family reminded me that it was not 2005, but 2004 that I began getting boils-a long and horrible ordeal. I am working to raise my PH level to help the cure. Thank God for this site, Ted and all those who've posted! I am getting my life back and it's great!

Turmeric + Boil = Cure! I've had an annoying boil for about two years. Nothing would shift it! I knew what made it worse, though; alcohol and caffeine drinks. Luckily I stumbled across this site and found the turmeric cure. Rather sceptically I gave it a go and after just a few doses it's gone! I'm going to keep taking it for a while and it's a good blood purifier anyway. THANK YOU so much for this site and for everyone who recommended turmeric. I'm also using apple cider vinegar as that seems to be a cure-all, too!

My problem initially started as the swelling of a small lump I have always had. It's size increased dramatically over a week or two (it's on my back and I'm unsure how long it had been getting bigger before I noticed it), so I went to the doc to get an opinion. The doctor said it was just a cyst that had become inflamed and was nothing to worry about. She didn't seem to sure of herself though, so I took that information with a grain of salt.

Anyway, it continued to get bigger and more uncomfortable and also started to redden so about 2 weeks after my first doctor visit I went to get a second opinion. This second doc told me that it was an infected hair gland and prescribed antibiotics. I've never been a fan of antibiotics but I was worried with how this problem was going, so I started taking them dutifully, 4 times a day.

They appeared to do nothing and the infection got much worse very quickly. It was now very uncomfortable, dark red, and about as big as a small plum. It also started weeping so I went back to the doctor as I had been instructed, and he expressed some puss from it and told me to keep it covered and keep taking the antibiotics. He also told me to book in with a surgeon in case it needed lancing, which I did.

Antibiotics doing nothing and not looking forward to the thought (and cost) of surgery, I started looking on the internet seriously. I found this website and read the turmeric solution (Honestly I thought, right. Turmeric powder, how is that going to help??). I figured I had nothing to lose, so on the way home I got some turmeric from the supermarket and some tea tree cream. That night I had a glass of water with a large teaspoon of turmeric powder in (tasted terrible!). I took a shower and poked around at the lump. It expressed a huge amount of chunky puss (made me feel rather ill). Cleaned it up and then went and lay on the floor in the lounge with a hot facecloth with tea tree oil on my back and a hot water bottle on that. after about an hour of that it had expressed still more puss. I cleaned it and had it bound with some of the tea tree cream as well and went to bed.

In the morning it had gone down by about 50% and was also less red and less painful. I was amazed. Expressed a lot more in the shower, had another drink of turmeric, and went to work. Same treatment in the evening (it was looking slightly better than it was in the morning), and then by the next morning it was looking much better. The skin about 3 inches all around the lump had been red and hard and was now not. Bump was almost totally gone and was only expressing slightly.

So basically, four glasses of water each with one generous teaspoon of turmeric powder in and I am almost entirely rid of a really unpleasant infection!

$150 on doctors visits and no cure vs $1.90 on a bottle of turmeric powder. I know which way I'll be going in the future! Thanks very much for the information. Absolutely amazing. :) I should have known better than to doubt. There's a natural cure out there for everything!

Reporting back. Found that the turmeric worked well. Took about 10 days. Spoonful of the stuff in warm water. Down the hatch. Every night before going to bed. I stopped using the campho phenique as I don't like the smell. My idea was vitamin E mixed with cayenne pepper powder made into a salve. Onto the boil - cover up with a bandaid and tape to hold it in place. Off in the morning. This seemed to help too. Note that my boil was not broken, and never broke. I think the cayenne on a broken boil would sting something awful, so not a good idea or recommended. I only have a small bump left, from a boil that was almost the size of a quarter and hurt like heck. Hope to get rid of this remainder soon. Thanks for your wonderful site. Very appreciated.

I have had a boil at the top of my buttocks for a few days and tried my usual concoction of bergamot oil, lavender, chamomile, and tea tree. Alongside this I have been taking vit C, Vit B complex, chlorella, acidophilus, beta carotene and echinacea. Normally this works but seems to have failed this time, although the boil has suddenly appeared without any previous symptoms this time so am not sure if I started taking them too late. On top of this I have been taking homeopathic sulphur, belladonna and silicea. I was trawling through the internet and the turmeric remedy caught my eye. About an hour ago I took a teaspoon in a glass of orange juice (quickly) and have managed to sit down without the slightest twinge for the first time today. I will carry on through the evening with the teaspoon in orange juice but first thing tomorrow I shall be out to my local health shop to get the tablets. I really hope that this remedy works fully and means I no longer have to take the other concoction I was using. Thanks for the advice. It is the most truly embarrassing place to have a boil and I dread it reoccurring as the pain is horrendous. So all being well this is the answer to my worst recurring nightmare!!

I've been suffering from monthly recurring boils for the past 6 months. Twice I've taken antibiotics and had the boils disappear, only to have them reappear a month or two later. This website was a blessing for me. I drank turmeric, took neem, and an Indian concoction called Safi. This did not make the boils disappear, but it made more stop from coming (before, without antibiotics, more boils would constantly emerge). I later bought Silver 100 from Invision International (seems to be the best one out there), and that has accelerated the healing process. I also had to eat yogurt, because of the detox-effect of silver. Yogurt happens to have acidophilus in it, which I've seen recommended here.

I have a tip on a 3-step external healing-process for a boil.
1) Use hot water to make the boil open,
2) Use baking soda to get rid of the infection and swelling (this is wonderful!), and
3) Use a mixture of turmeric and raw honey to accelerate wound healing.
