Borax, Epsom Salt

(topical) Borax + epsom salt + water for boil

1 generous pinch of borax + 1 generous pinch of epsom salt + just enough water to dissolve (maybe 3 or 4 drops). I have mixed this solution in the palm of my hand and applied. Reapply as needed throughout the day. For me, the first application greatly reduced pain and inflammation. It softened the hard inner part of my boil and flattened the angry, tender to the touch surrounding area within hours. I've had to reapply twice in a couple of days because it hasn't completely disappeared. Maybe if I had reapplied a few times in one day, I may have obliterated the evil awful boil? Maybe.

I also have 1000mg/1G turmeric. I took 2 of those today for good measure.

Figs

Hello Catherine,

You are correct about this, from the true story of King Hezekiah.I have not tried to use figs, however I can only imagine the pain he must have been in, to think he was at death's door. I just had one pop up on my lower back and you do start to feel a little drained, it starts to wear you out. The last time I used warm cloths and it opened the boil up. This time I may give the figs a try since it's on my back.

Thanks for the post.

Boils and Hair Loss in Young Woman

Posted by E (UK) on 08/27/2012

Hi ted, I am a 29 year old female that is totally at a loss of how to treat my current problems. Since my early twenties, I have been suffering from facial boils some are really absesses they are that big. I been on various antibiotics for acne, which work for some time, but then stop working. I really dont have that much acne at all and really question if it is this I have, as its always boils and not spots. I keep telling myself I will grow out of it, but it seems to get worse rather than better. Sometimes I dont have boils for a couple of months, then I have 3 or 4 close together. I was put on roaccutane after visiting a dermatoligist, but I only lasted 6 weeks april 2010 and as the side effects were so awful. I had a couple of months boil free, but then they came back again. Just before I went on roaccutane I had a terrible absess between the eye and bridge of nose, it got that bad, it had to be operated on, now I had quite a bad scar on my face from it. Over the years I have developed a lot of facial scarring which has effected my confidence in a big way. Most recently I have suffered from a really bad chin abscess, I was put on antibiotics again, but whilst finishing the course I developed a boil on my nose, which turned into nose cellulitus. I have never felt so much pain as I have in the last fortnight. They tryed 2 lots of antibiotics, which wouldnt touch the infection luckily the 3 lot of hight dose antibiotics started to work. Again another facial scar. I thought I would mention my other problem I case you think they maybe related. I have visited the doctor with severe dandruff, they think it is sebhhoreic dermatitis, this has happened in the last 6 months, I have also started to get pus filled painful spots on my head, maybe even small boils I would call them, with increased hair loss. My hair has become increasing thinner through my twenties, but since the scalp problem my hair loss has been increasing a lot. I have used steroid mousse which stops the itching and boils for a while, but then when I stop using it it comes back, I have stopped using sls shampoo and conditioner, as they create more painful boils on my head. My long suffering boyfriend who has supported me all the way through my problems proposed to me in june of this year. We have arranged our wedding date for june 2013. I am absolutely petrified I will suffer a facial outbreak whilst celebrating my wedding next year or if I will have any hair to style on the day. When I do get the boils I spent days in doors hiding away from the rest of the world until it retreats. I have had numerous blood tests which they say everything is fine, not diabetic, no thyroid probelm. So I am at a loss what to do now. I know I am sick of taking antibiotics. They wont work forever. I would love to have a baby after we get married next year, but I am so scared I will have boil attacks and would need to use antibiotics. The only other thing I take is oral contraception which ive taken since I was 15, I tryed to come off this 3 years ago, but the boild were un controllable, so I believe the pill must be masking some of the boils. I would prefer not to be on the pill either if possible. I really cant help thinking its not facial acne, although they tell me it is. I have not been tested for mrsa ir any food allergies. I have seasonal hayfever, but apart from that I am really healthy. I am 5 foot 3 and 9st. If you could spare me anytime to look at this email I would be internally grateful. I have read your various posts on earth clinic and you seemed to have given so many people advise that has changed their lives.

The common boils are due to staphylococcus, this means you have to kill it with either tea tree oil applied topically, and by resolving constipation. I define constipation as having bowel movements twice a day, whenever is less than that the body's ability to get rid of toxins is limited. The other is to take bromelain internally perhaps four times a day of the capsule on an empty stomach this helps increase the circulation on the face. Taking plenty of vitamin C and E, will help healing at 500 mg four times a day of vitamin C, and vitamin E 200 iu, to help healing of the boils. Colloidal silver may also help by making a spray and taking some internally.

The problem about diabetes is it is measured with 12 hour fasting, unfortunately most people with developing diabetes and hypoglycemia are not included in this test. If the standards for diagnosing diabetes is not over 110 mg/dL, the ones creating the standards are flawed if most of the population in that country is obese. I based mine on not over 90 mg/dL, and I expect that the average is to be 85 mg/dL as the highest after two hours after eating. You are likely to have immune system problems if it is over 90 mg/dL. In fact it is preferable to have a reading of 85 mg/dL one hour after eating. The immune system is considered wishy wash if it goes over this.

Most boils are caused by developing staphylococcus as the immune system is not good under the rules I set above, and neither is getting below 2 bowel movements a day any good. And blood sugar always goes high whenever food is consumed after 5.30 pm and sweet foods are consumed before 12 noon. Those times are when the immune system needs MINIMUM sugar especially after 5.30 pm. It is consumed during those times the immune system shuts down and staphyloccus takes over.

Assuming you passed the above test, there is another. Fatty foods block the capillary circulation to the face, especially trans fat, which is found mostly in cakes and anything prepared using supermarket vegetable oils, especially no fried foods of any kind, no cheese, no chocolate and anything that is greasy. As a demonstration, if vegetable oil is allowed to oxidized at summer heat in one month, you get glue, and these clog up the circulatory system.

Assuming you passed all tests and you have already considered that, another is taking water of 2 glasses DURING MEALS, which helps the digestion in that it doesn't clog up the system. and evens out the blood sugar by dilution during meals, as blood sugar always spikes during these times, which turns of your immune system.

Finally addressing the deficiency usually people with intestinal problems have such as vitamin D, vitamin A, and B12 are essential for the small intestines and helps maintain intestinal health and glutathione precursor, such as N acetyl cysteine 250 mg x 2, and lysine 1000 mg x 3 helps improve the skin as well as help clear out the toxins. Granulated lecithin of one tablespoon that is de-oiled helps prevent fatty liver and helps clear out blocked circulation so the immune system takes over. The other is minerals related to selenium, which is 200 mcg x 2 or x 3 times will also help in clearing the blood debris by helping support the liver.

Finally the most important is to get zinc in your system, which is also considered anti bacterial such as zinc acetate 25 mg. And always get your vinegar facial wash if the face is oily. by dissolving the facial oils. In fact a vitamin A and zinc deficiency makes the face oily as an indication also, which clogs up the pores, and it creates havoc on the face too.

Starting nutmeg today, I'll be back with results. I am 53 and have been dealing with walnut size boils since my early teens, the last 15 years they've grown to fist size, I've tried doctors even infectious disease doctors tried for a couple of years. No luck. I'm believing this will be the answer. Thank you in advance for the information.

These big ones ( fist/ baseball size) make me sick head to toe with joint pain and so sleepy if I get the time off I sleep for days. I've been on medical leave 3 times a month each and slept most of all the month.

I'm giving my history so when I do come back with results you can know what a blessing beyond measure sharing this information has been.

My last big one in 2019/ 2020 I Prayed for death to come before another developed. The one now is walnut size thank the Lord.
Thank you

Lemon Peel (Pith) to Cure Armpit Boil

Remove the peel of a lemon, rub the inside of the peel on the boil. Repeat daily.

I was reading about a guy that uses lemon peel (the inside pith) to remove warts. So I tried it on an armpit boil I had developed. It worked in 2 days!

Here is what he said: "I attended a seminar put on by a master herbalist and someone in the audience asked what to do about seed warts. She said to take the inside of a lemon rind and rub them each night and in less than a week they'd be gone. I tried it on my left hand first and to my amazement, they started to fade with the first application. After five nights they were gone and skin was as normal as if I'd never hand them. Then, because I've read that sometimes they go away on their own, I tried the right hand, one finger at a time and the same thing happened. One by one, the warts went away as I did each finger, and they've never returned. And I lived with those ugly things for 30 years and lemon rind got rid of them in no time. I don't know if it works on any other type of wart."

I had constant boils for 15 years in all the usual places - armpit, groin, bra line, etc. Got tested for allergic contact dermatitis because of another malady and found out I was allergic to gold. Took off my gold jewelry and never had another boil unless I accidently come into contact with gold again. I can't even touch gold paint. This includes white gold and rose gold also because it is a salt in the gold that I am allergic to. After some thought, I realized I never had a boil before I was gifted with diamond studs and pendant set in yellow gold from my husband, before that I was a sterling silver girl. And now I am again.

Turmeric can cure very serious cases of boils but one would have to take a teaspoon of it in a glass of water several times a day. And, of course, eat only foods that are recognizable as coming from Nature and no sugar, white flour, fried or processed food, and lots of water each day

@ Louise from the UK who wrote about turmeric for re-occurring boils on 2/27/21

Try Nutmeg Spice:

Turmeric works wonders on boils topically. But if you're having re-occurring outbreaks. The bacteria has gotten in deep into the tissue or even the bloodstream.

A have a friend that suffered from re-occurring boils that would pop-up all over his body for years. He is a picker. He picks at them. I've even seen him take a needle to pop them (bad idea) that's why I suspected the bacteria was in his blood. He spent thousand's of $$ with doctors and got no relief from them. Til one day when we were hanging out with a few friends, he was picking at the newest boil to come up on his knee so I asked him, “do you want to get rid of them”? He replied, there is no cure. Well...believe it or not, there is! I told him he had to do exactly what I said. No matter how stupid it sounded. He agreed to do as I said.

Here is the treatment plan:

Go buy a spice bottle of nutmeg. Put enough powdered spice on the back of your hand “about the size of a US dime coin”. Lick it up with your tongue and swallow. Do this once daily for 30 days. That's it! Sounds too simple.

Note: Burdock root tea can also be used but, nutmeg can be found at most grocery stores.

Now here are the results of what happened to his body over the 30 days:

He noticed that he was not getting new boils at about 15 days thru the treatment and by the end of the 30 days, the old boils had completely healed. I saw him about 6 months after that and asked him about his outbreaks. He said “no new boils”!

Nutmeg stimulates circulation in the body, which can help your body fight the bacterial infection in your boil. This will help to prevent boils from developing. Compounds in nutmeg have strong antibacterial and antifungal properties. Nutmeg is also a detoxifying agent. It cleanses the blood by increasing the effectiveness of all the body's elimination systems. Its diuretic effect helps the kidneys filter impurities from the blood. It helps push toxins out through the skin, and it also boosts the ability of the liver to remove toxins. By pushing toxins out through a variety of pathways, nutmeg can purify the blood with minimal side effects and with minimal stress to the body.

I have suffered with boils all my life. I have tried all the remedies, tea tree oil etc. nothing worked.

I started using camphor spirits. If caught at the first small bump it works great. Do not use on an open draining boil. Antibiotics work but getting in to see a doctor can be too late. Most doctors are at a loss with boils I have found. Draining can be painful and most doctors just don't have the time. I could write a medical book on boils, but no happy ending or fix.

I slathered it on, covered it with gauze and then put a heating pad on top. Two hours later it started to drain. I've had it for 4 days now and it was showing no signs of coming to a head and was only getting worse.

This remedy works!

Misdiagnosis for Boils and Staph
Posted by Anon (Usa) on 07/20/2018

That seems possible.

Look into:

Colloidal silver
Lugol's iodine
Essential oils like peppermint,
Wild oregano, thyme (check if it is safe for a girl her age)
Kefir
Kombucha
Turmeric
Garlic
Oxygen/magnesium colon cleanser

I would start with whatever I can get my hands on first. If you have limited funds the colloidal silver, colon cleanse, and kefir are probably the three you should do. Compared to treating her through a clinic they are probably more affordable.

The garlic, essential oils, silver and iodine I would take with fresh fruit, I prefer grapefruit (peel the colored skin off the white pith with a potato peeler and then cut the remaining fruit into bitesize pieces), watermelon (organic, peel and cut like grapefruit above), and papaya; the idea is to disperse the oils, silver and iodine along the digestive tract.

You can give her any combination or all of the above, they should not interact negatively. The colon cleanse as directed, though, away from food.

There is an older recipe online including molasses, yogurt, flax seed, and brewer's yeast you might consider, too.

Fresh green vegetable juices, raw eggs, colostrum, cranberries, all organic foods, reverse osmosis water for all her drinking water, some tanning/sun exposure, far infrared sauna or biomat, mustard seed powder or apple cider vinegar baths. These things can help, too.

Misdiagnosis for Boils and Staph

Hi,

My daughter 11 years now, when she was a growing up she had boils/MRSA number of times. She was diagnosed with Crohn's at the age of 9. No typical symptoms of Crohn's tough but her ESR and CRP levels were really high when she was diagnosed. Doctors also were not sure if she had crohn's even though she went under colonoscopy. One of the doctors said she has lupus. Could it be MRSA causing this?

What is the treatment for this? Please advice.

The boils (though painful) will come to a head and empty themselves so there is no need to lance them. Turmeric taken in water several times a day will cure many, but one has to clean up one's diet only eating food that actually looks like food items and cook it yourself (no restaurant food which often has sugar in many dishes and other chemicals, nor processed or fried food of any sort, nor alcohol, sodas, etc. just pure water or herbal teas and juices)

In my family if we have a boil, or acne that won't head up, we simply apply a slice of onion and hold it in place with masking tape for a half hour, then remove. This will bring many infections to a head. After draining them we again apply the onion for another half hour to make sure it's drawn everything out. A friend of mine had a rabbit with a puss-filled sore on the top of its head and it was not responding to the vet's medication. She was afraid she would lose her rabbit. I told her about this and the next day she called to say, "It worked! You saved my rabbit's life!"

Calcium Bentonite Clay Paste forced Boil to Drain

I had some Calcium Bentonite Clay (usually used for my curly hair and my face as a detoxifying/clarifying mask treatment) and I mixed it with some apple cider vinegar to create a paste. I applied it to a deep boil which had not come to a head yet. Within 5 minutes, the boil burst and released watery blood. I showered and washed with Chlorhexidine Gluconate Solution 4.0% (a wash they tell you to buy before surgery to kill bacteria and prevent infection from hospital). After the shower, I applied antibacterial ointment (mupirocin topical). I plan to apply the Bentonite clay again tonight. I've never seen something work so quickly! This is my first time having a boil.

By the way, Turmeric (purchased from the grocery store) mixed with milk worked very well for my husband when he had boils so I have also taken some of that as well.

Copper Penny Water

I have recently been using Tea Tree (Leaf) Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia) for a little bit of toe nail fungus and also, what I assume to be a boil of some sort on my forearm.

I cannot find a picture of this "boil" on the internet but it looked like a very small, brown, wrinkled sponge (above skin level) approximately 7 mm in diameter.

Although not eliminated completely, the fungus is diminishing slowly and the boil has 50% improved within a week and sunk back down to skin level by using just one drop of neat TTO am and pm.

The brand is an Australian company whose name includes a day of the week!

Cheers and Happy Christmas

I soak almost everything in magnesium and borax saturated water. Milk of magnesia or magnesium oil.

Applying iodine is prudent. Colloidal Silver too. Ted mentions hydrogen peroxide.

I noticed that with an infection under my nail, the iodine color disappears pretty quick. Must be applied frequently. It is being used up pretty quickly, it seems.

A 100% cure for boils.

Apply 27% hydrogen peroxide with a q-tip. Rub into the skin so the skin begins to burn a little, and turns white. Keep doing, even several times a day, until a crust forms. Wait a few days, then poke off the middle of the boil -- there will be a "cone" (like in a volcano) of hardened pus.

Keep applying the peroxide until the whole boil is gone. There will be no scar, and no leftovers causing problems later. Mine was an inch across, I waited too long, and it's taken over a month of treatments. Simple and effective. (Pool stores carry 27% peroxide as "shock".)

I tend to get small boils around my panty line when I work out. When you feel a slight bump, use warm compresses at least twice a day and especially before bedtime. Use an anti-bacterial soap to cleanse the area. If this treatment does not help and the boil progresses to a head, use a mixture of equal parts baking soda, turmeric (buy a good quality), and organic ACV. Before bedtime, make a soft paste and apply to the effected area. Cover with a sterile cotton ball and medical paper tape (do not cover the center of the boil with tape...let it breathe). In the morning remove the cotton and cleanse the area with alcohol. Apply antibiotic cream and cover with cotton and tape. Repeat, along with the warm compresses, until the sore has healed. Always keep hands and effected area clean and sterile....boils can spread.

I have used the paste after the sore had opened and it works well to draw out toxins. I developed a blood blister and it worked well in drawing out the infection. The entire process has taken about 3 weeks. I've taken one aspirin daily for the achiness. If your boil is really large and swollen, looks infected, or is solid, seek medical attention. But for "run-of-the-mill" boils, this mixture works well.

Quick note about charcoal: if charcoal is used on open skin, it will be effective, HOWEVER, it will also leave a permanent mark wherever it touches open skin. It's just like a tattoo and it is NOT removable unless you see a doctor. There are no bad side effects that I know of, it just leaves a black mark. It would be wise to check the area carefully for broken skin in areas where you don't want permanent marks.
