Gout, Fibromyalgia Pain

I had gout in 2005 lasted 6 weeks before I went to the Dr. he said it was gout. Wrote me a script. NOT MUCH was on the internet back then about home remedies. On a DEEP DIVE I saw someone charging for a cure. I kept searching and found it FREE!
Backing soda and water. YES!! FOR ME in 3 days of twice a day, 1 level teaspoon in water morning and late afternoon fixed 6 weeks of horrible pain in 3 days!!
Another time few years ago pre KETO way of life I was suffering from horrible Fibro pain, worse EVER! Finally went to the Dr she said its my new normal. I said NO WAY, I will surely die!! SO going home defeated, I remembered the gout pain years before. I realize after searching you can get gout everywhere. SO I tried my home remedy. THIS TIME it took a little over a week of 2 a day baking soda and water. IT WORKED THANK GOD!!
I then started Keto way of life, I don't care what anyone says, for me gout is from lots of carbs, like starches and sugars and grains. Since being KETO I do fall off the wagon sometimes but over all my body fibro and CFS issues are WAY BETTER FOR ME! GODSPEED everyone.

I used a mix of baking soda and water on my face for blackheads. Two days later I now have dry rash marks on my skin. So warning. I'm not sure when my skin will restore itself.

Yes I agree about brushing. I make a paste of coconut oil, baking soda and oil of peppermint. It is absolutely the best for body and mind. Very cost effective too. My mouth is so clean. Wish I would have known way back. Unfortunately have lost many teeth that I would give just about anything to have back.
Aluminum in Baking Soda

I want to use baking soda as a remedy. I would like to know if the regular baking soda available in stores, contains aluminum?
I am hesitant to use this remedy as aluminum is so dangerous. Thank you for your replies. I appreciate your help.

Ginger, Baking Soda does not contain anything but sodium bicarbonate. Baking Powder, on the other hand, can include aluminum but not all of them do. Hope this helps.

Acid Reflux
Posted by Tracy (Wi) on 11/03/2013
Hello, you may have what I was diagnosed with as you have almost identical symptoms. My GI doctor went in with a scope & told me that I have something called Gastritis. It is when the protective coating of your stomach gets compromised. Meaning it gets thinned out & then exposes your stomach directly to the acid. It can cause ulcers & other problems. In short, gastritis looks like a rash in your stomach. Mine was on the lower half of my esophagus, my stomach and in the first part of my intestines. I had severe pain on my left side just under my rib but had puking boughts every morning & within 20 minutes of eating anything tomato based, milk, butter, dairy in general, coffee. For anyone trying to treat acid reflux by drinking milk like I had tried. Don't, it's an acid! Who knew right? In short, the best thing I was prescribed out of everything was the combo of avoiding said acidic foods and getting prescribed Nexium. After about a month I started to heal. Also, the docs will all want to prescribe you a gammut of other meds that they will tell you are almost identical to Nexium. THEY ARE NOT! They don't work as well & that's a BS story that is really about most insurance companies making them prescribe other things first so they don't have to pay for what works right away. No lie. Now I get acid reflux occasionally. My fix for that is Antacid Chews. They come in cherry & work within 2 minutes! Hope this helps. I thought I was dying up until all of this!

you know, I am one who reaches for naturals above all else, however, sometimes when I see the insane ramblings of some of you, it makes me really wonder how we could possibly have anything in common. THERE IS NO ALUMINUM IN BAKING SODA, there IS aluminum in many commercial varieties of BAKING POWDER... They are NOT the same. Comes down to chemical profiles, people!!
Acne
Posted by Alib (Swansea, Wales, Uk) on 10/22/2010
Spots and acne are the body's way in some people of getting toxins out of the body. Some natural products will actually encourage toxin removal by triggering rashes or spots. What that really should tell you is that your diet is wrong. All detox symptoms - rashes, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, etc. , are coming from within and the the only ways the stuff can get there is through the mouth and skin from the food we eat or the chemical-based skin products and make-up etc. , that we use. 'You are what you eat' is a very true statement. The more sugar and processed carbs we eat the more likely it is that our bodies will have to detox. Cleaning up the diet and concentrating on fresh natural foods and pure water is the key but it won't necessarily stop the spots and acne overnight - the body will have to clear the toxin backlog first.

I have been dealing with SEVERE nausea since starting chemo treatments for leukemia in 2005. I stopped all chemo meds in 2006 but the nausea has stuck around since then. I have tried EVERYTHING that the doctors have given me. I finally got tired of putting chemicals into my body and started searching for natural remedies. I found this website through a cancer community and it has been a GODSENT! I tried the baking soda for nausea and within 5 minutes, my nausea is almost completely gone. It would have taken Phenegren over an hour to help. Thanks SO much for this website!
Burns

I was trying to make sugar wax for hair removal at home. I had poured the sugar in a bowl and was waiting for it to cool.. I got bored and decided to pick at the edges to see if it was setting right. The edges were hard. I picked more and caught my knuckle of my middle finger on the HOT, melted sugar. It hurt A LOT! Running cold water on it helped, but eventually, the pain and swelling got so bad, nothing was working. I went to the 24 hour drug store and the manager sprayed some burn pain relief on it. It worked but I kept having to spray it on, and eventually, it stopped working, too.
Out of desparation, I went with my first instinct I had when I burned myself and made a paste out of baking soda. The pain went away immediately. But it came back as the baking soda dried out. I had to go to bed so I could work the next day. So, I made more paste, caked it on my finger, covered my hand with a ziploc baggie and covered the baggie with a sock. Then, I took Excedrin PM and went to bed. When I woke up, the baking soda paste was still wet and my finger no longer hurt. There's a blister there, but no pain!

I tried a couple teaspoons of baking soda mixed in about one-half to three-quarters cup of water to relieve debilitating gas pains. Within about five minutes, the relief was setting in. After about 15 minutes, the gas pains were gone. It did cause me to expel some gas, too, which I was unable to do beforehand.

I recently had a bad burn from a lawn mower. I put burn medicine on it, but it didn't put out the fire at all. I read a post on here about baking soda, and decided to try it. I made a thick paste out of baking soda and water and put it all over the burn. It was amazing! The fire went out of the burn IMMEDIATELY. I few days later, my son was stung by a wasp. I made the same paste and put it on his sting and it took the pain away for him. It worked on a four year old who was screaming in pain.

My daughters were playing outside in the garden and one after the other, they both started screaming, crying and running toward the house. I couldn't understand what had happened but they both had similar red marks on their skin. I assumed they had been bitten by spiders as there was no obvious sting. I quickly applied a thick paste of Baking Soda and water and within minutes both girls were calm and happy. Praise God for Baking Soda!!
Baking Soda and Benzene

...For sodium bicarbonate, I use the regular Arm & Hammer baking soda that you can find in any grocery store. I contacted them also, and they told me that they do not add anything to their baking soda although they do not have any chemical analysis of the soda ash (a mined mineral deposit) from which they make their baking soda by adding carbon dioxide in a solution--i.e., no additives or stabilizers. I hope that this information answers your question. Please let me know if you need more information. Have a great week and keep up the good work. Also thanks for all the help.
Acid Reflux
Posted by DrJ (Bombay, India) on 03/28/2009
Dear James,
These is alot of science in that post but its not to accurate. ACV may be acid to taste but it forms an alkaline "ash" once digested. ACV is an excellent remedy on its own diluted in water (not mixed with bicarb etc) if sipped through out the day. It simulates digestive enzyme function. Using for low HCL reflux is best. For best results with high HCL reflux try the Lemon/bicarb formula or Citric acid/bicarb formula!

My daughter has a bad case of mono. Her tonsils were so swollen they were touching her uvula and she couldn't swallow any pain meds. We were having her gargle with a salt rinse, with no real relief. We called my inlaws and they suggested rinsing with a tsp of bs in lukewarm water followed by the salt rinse every two hours. Amazing! My daughter's tonsils are a little less swollen and it took the pain away for her to sleep for a lot longer last night. I found your site this morning when I was researching bs rinses. The doctor's we saw never even suggested it.

After years of acid reflux and stomach issues I started to think I was lactose intolerant. I lived on antacids and stomach relaxers. Then I went on a high protein diet and was eating milk products but no carbs and all my stomach problems disappeared. Sure enough it was the sugar that was the problem. I do take omeprazole daily. It is available by prescription or over the counter. I do like the idea of using baking soda to keep my system alkaline since I eat a lot of fruit and drink juice.

Colloidal Silver for fungal infections. Janique from Phillipines, you could try colloidal silver which apparently is antifungal. I had nail fungus on little toe and after a long time, I noticed it was gone as well as any outbreaks of tinea.

I am a very healthy male 78 years old. I tend to have an acid diet but with a lot of fruit and vegetables and have no problems. I was wondering about sodium bicarbonate. My question is when to take in relation to meals and time of day. With water or lemon/lime juice etc? Would take the lower level say one teaspoon a day or a bit less.

Regarding the Colloidal Silver...DO NOT add anything to the water, it changes the chemical structure of the silver particle, you must use pure water, I use water bought from supermarket. I own silverwell generator, look on this site for lots of great information. For toenail fungus you can spray silver on that but personally I think teatree oil would work faster.
Loved to Bicarb, could not shake a flu with mucus constantly running down back of my throat and staying in sinuses giving me dull headaches, so had enough and decided to alkalize and bicarb is most alkaline thing to use so been taking 1tsp in morning in water and because bicarb depleats magnesium been taking quarter tsp epsom salts in glass water at night. 5th day now and feeling so much better going to do this for a week until I kill it.

Baking soda is making my pH go down?? It was at 6,2-6,5 before. After taking baking soda (5-7,5ml 3-5 times per day) it's 5,5-5,9. How is this possible? I've had this experience multiple times. My diet didn't change. I always measure first thing in the morning. I'm taking so much I should easily be reaching pH 7 which is my goal.

Baking Soda and the Pancreas
Posted by Bill (San Fernando, Philippines) on 01/24/2013
Hi Dennis... Supplementing Sodium Bicarbonate will not harm the pancreas or the gallbladder. One of the main functions of the human pancreas is to provide pancreatic juices during digestion. These pancreatic juices necessarily contain bicarbonates for a purpose. These juices are important and necessary to neutralize the chyme(food and acid from the stomach) and to create the necessary alkaline medium for proper operation of the pancreatic enzymes for main stage digestion to occur without problems in the duodenum. So supplementing with Sodium Bicarbonate or baking soda is actually beneficial to the pancreas - it restores the important bicarbonate stores in the pancreas necessary for proper digestion -- and will also benefit gall bladder problems.
For gall bladder and gallstone issues Ted also advises adjustments in diet -- no vegetable oils, no dairy, less meat and low sugar intake. Supplement a teaspoon of granulated lecithin(not the oil form) at mealtimes and also taking Ted's citric acid or lemon/lime alkalizing remedy twice a day will also benefit gall bladder problems. I would also advise taking 1000 mgs organic chanca piedra capsules 3 times a day with meals or just take the tea form three times a day. This regimen helps to reduce excess calcium and fat(mainly excess vegetable oils) in the body thereby helping to prevent gall bladder problems and which also helps to remove gallstones as well.
Best Time to Take
Posted by Bill (San Fernando, Philippines) on 10/01/2012

Hi Diana... When I had candida in the past and I first started to alkalize, I always took both Ted's bicarb and water and lemon/ lime bicarb and water remedies about 2 hours after eating -- outside mealtimes in other words. This greatly helped against my candida, constipation and bloating issues. In those days, I usually started to alkalize in late morning.
Later, I understood that taking sodium bicarb and water outside mealtimes was good for alkalizing both the intestines and the body. However now, I take sodium bicarb and water about 1/2 hr to 1 hour after meals -- because taking it this way helps to alkalize the intestines, alkalize the blood AND helps digestion issues because it supports main stage digestion in the upper intestines which should always occur in an alkaline to neutral medium(not acid).
Normally, during sleep at night, the body's homeostsis mechanism comes into play to re-adjust the body's pH(and electrochemistry) back to a healthy levels again. Since 90% of the food we eat now is acidic -- taking sodium bicarb in this way, an hour or so before sleep, actually helps the homeostasis mechanism to re-adjust the body's pH to healthy levels again.
What I have also noticed is that taking sodium bicarb at night also helps people with slow digestion ussues caused by GERD and other problems. Similarly, slow or poor digestion can also be caused by too little bicarbonates from the pancreatic juices -- so taking sodium bicarbonate an hour before you sleep actually helps to make digestion more efficient and helps to avoid acid intestines, reflux etc at night.
To keep it simple -- the only times when I would never take the sodium bicarb and water remedy would be directly before a meal, during a meal and directly after a meal ie while stomach acid digestion is still working and doing its job -- because taking thos remedy incorrectly like this during meals would adversely affect and interfere with both stomach acid digestion and main stage digestion in the duodenum.
Therefore Sodium bicarb is OK to take for constipation. But I've also found that if you add 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt(once a day) to the sodium bicarb and water and take it that way as Ted advises -- then this tend to work much better to help loosen up the constipation than just sodium bicarb and water alone.
