I had read about food grade hydrogen peroxide on the Earth Clinic site, while researching natural remedies for animals as my Maine coon Kitty had a pea size tumor under his jaw that had grown to the size of a marble. I was very low on funds at the time and couldn't afford a vet visit, so I crossed my fingers, went to the health food store, bought some 35% food grade H202 and put a capful in his water bowl.
To my amazement the tumor disappeared after about two weeks. He's been tumor free ever since and I now drink it in my water. It's a Godsend.
Turmeric is a natural antibiotic. On its own it will keep the wound clean and heal it. When the wound is dry, use coconut oil which will naturally remove the scabbing without scar tissue.
How do we keep a ruptured tumour clean after using turmeric and castor oil please? What's the best antibiotics naturally and what will help the open tumour heal up? xx
Thanks a lot will do. Personally am not very good at dealing with wounds so I think Im panicking. My cat of course cries like a baby and I can't bear to see her in pain. It is not possible to predict as every individual reacts different. Once the wound is open apply haldi (turmeric) and when dry and healing, apply coconut oil. Keep feeding with some turmeric dissolved in coconut oil. patience pays off.
Would you know what kind of reactions I can expect once I start applying castor oil. I hear that the wound increases in size and then bursts, if so, how many days would this take. Should I continue the oil even after the wound bursts if it does?

Does castor oil burn if put on the cats open wound? Is it ok for her to lick it. My cat had surgery 2 yrs ago and had her uterus and mammary gland removed. After 2 yrs, there was an external growth which then opened and started bleeding. The vet told me to keep it covered and put sofradex to stop the itching and said it would dry. It seems to have become flatter and wider abt 1/2 inch dia and is very slow to heal. Looks like its bigger. I dont want to put her through surgery again. Will castor oil help? Will it hurt her?
I have an English Bulldog she's 9 year's old and I am going to try the castor oil cause I have tried everything and nothing has worked, praying this works.

Tumors can fall off cleanly or they can ulcerate. The margins are irrelevant when using these remedies because they boost the immune system and cause the body to reject the tumor cells so the histamines are not triggered. JMHO!
I am a "retired, " Vet Tech yet will be back to open a Pet Rehab. I utilize both Eastern and Western Medicine on my Rescue kids. In a nutshell my Doberman may have a MCT. 0;(. I am going to an Oncologist for a second opinion this Thursday as our DVM so far has managed to introduce blood into his bladder from a cysto , preformed with an US. This led to costly , not needed Rads to check for stones and over use of Abx, and after a C&S with no diagnosis, I used ACV and guess what= gone. Now I found a tumor. Brought him in for a FNA. Now the more I read my books speak with collegues I realize it could be inflammation yet when aspirated that alone can release Histamines, one MCT & a few questionable Spindle Cells. The report came back AGAIN as improper collection and no definitive diagnosis. So frustrating. I have started the Diphenhydramine BID as it makes total sense and is reccommended prior to Sx to aide in the metatasis if it is even a MCT or malignent. I also picked up Famotadine as I read A LOT on many side effects of Cimitidine. Including elevated ALP( liver enzymes.) Well many Dobermans AL(K)P sits high, so to let all know I have had great success with Milk Thistle with ALL my Dobermans.
Yet on to the Castor Oil..I tried it today, yet I am inquisitive and wonder if it falls off or ulcerates, do you still NOT have dirty margins? Also can't this cause more Histamines to be released? My question is has anyone had any testing post Castor to make sure there is not any dirty margins left? Grazie, Blessings. As of now it is only .9 mm barely a cm. I despise surgery (Sx, ) unless absolutely needed for life, yet also worried that the CO could create what could be benign into Malignent? MCT's can arrise from inflammation and trauma as well as environmental factors. My guess is the latter that is another story about our toxic area and home. 0;(. We are all affected.

I have an older white lab that developed a tumor beside his genital area and he kept it inflamed by licking it. I started him on 1 teaspoon per feeding, twice a day, of turmeric on his food. He did not reject it at all, and the tumor has now shrunk and he no longer pays attention to it. It's not totally gone but it's definitely shrunk and no longer inflamed. Turmeric works. I did not add molasses.
I have read a lot about cats with this particular type of cancer. There seems to be a great deal of information with possible positive outcomes mixing DMSO and Colloidal Silver. Try reading more about this and see what you think. Just a suggestion as I too, am seeking assistance in treating/curing my 16 year old cat with this same horrible disease.
Would you be willing to show me what it looked like please. As I have a ten in half year old shepherd/lab mix who has what I was a told was a tumour and really hear a lot of good things about this oil. I have him on antibiotics but if it doesn't go down in size I will have an operation done to remove it. Hi, don't know if anyone can help me but I've been to the vet with my dog Tabby and the vet wo'nt operate on his growth - it is on the left side of his bum area and it's the size of a golf ball and its an open wound kind of like a tomato cut in half all open. It is too near his bum area to operate in case he can't get the toilet.
What can I do? Nothing the vet is giving me is working. Can someone please advise me im at my wits end...
In June, our 7 year old cat, Cece, was diagnosed with a feline fibrosarcoma tumor at the injection site for the feline leukemia vaccination shot. We feel we got it early enough, fortunately. Since the proposed veterinary treatment was far too unpleasant for my wife and I to consider for Ce, we discovered Essiac West tea and have been using it since the diagnosis as per the directions. We give her 3 ml in the morning and evening, which she at the very least doesn't seem to mind (huzzah! ). We are at the stage where the mass seems to be growing and getting harder, as per what has been written in the 'what to expect' sections of both the Essiac West pamphlet that came with the tea, as well as what many of the testimonials here have shared. Our veterinarian has also said that this will happen, so we're not sure what to expect or what to do if/when the mass erupts.
For those who have experienced a similar issue with their beloved felines, can anyone provide any sage words of wisdom as to what to expect, what to do if/when it erupts (application of a concentrated Essiac tea poultice), etc.? There has been much uniformity in what I have read about what happens (mass hardens and may grow, may erupt, it sloughs off, and eventually kills off the cancer), so we are quite hopeful.

When you say it looks like the mass is spreading - it could mean that the mass itself is growing or it could mean the mass is being expelled by the body and being pushed to the skin's surface. When tumors or masses come to the surface they make a sore or a lesion and the tumor drains out; it is messy and may smell and there likely will be bleeding. People then treat the open lesion with turmeric or castor oil or a pack of both. Sea buckthorn oil is also a remedy that may apply.
It can be hard to know if the mass is bad/cancer or just unsightly: a simple needle aspiration test at the vet might help determine what you are dealing with - and knowledge is power. You can then better choose your path with your girl. If it is not a bad mass you might continue with the Essiac and deal with the mess of an expelled tumor. If it is a bad mass you can then prepare for your girl's journey to the other side - be it by saying goodbye at the vet's right away, or by supporting her with good food and the satisfaction of your company until the bad days outnumber the good days and then you can choose to cross her over with dignity. Either way, knowing what type of mass you are actually dealing with will help with your peace of mind.
If you are unable to pay for vetting you might consider contacting a rescue group or your local humane society to see if they offer medical assistance for seniors. If you have been a long time client with your vet you might approach them about a payment plan.
I have read a lot off good reviews about essiac for pets on this site, so I tried it on my dogs growth on his nipple area. At first it looked like it was working but now the lump is growing very large and it is spreading. It is also hard and today I noticed something like a sore forming? Is this normal? Do I discontinue or keep going? It is not painful when I touch the area. She does not mind me doing that..appetite is good.

I just started rubbing castor oil on her liver area, I hope this works but can I rub it on her mast cell tumor? I just want her to feel good. Oh tried chemo and it turned her skin black and she had a very serious side effect so I stopped right away.
Try oregano on Warts...my niece had a wart on hand and her grandma used oregano oil on it and 3 days later it was going away. It is very hot-spicy so don't get it in eyes or pet's mouth...its like a hot chile....I apply to my Chihuahua's chest so he doesn't sound like he has a breathing problem anymore.....kind of sounded like asthma before.
My cat Clyde has a growth on his back paw pad it is getting larger and it is pink and closed no opening, on the same foot now he has developed the same looking growth in a cluster of 3 a little higher up. Will the castor oil work on cats and does it have to be covered? Just don't know if I should apply it to a closed growth and it opens it up and it gets worse. Please help us. He is the love of my life.

I hope your kitty is still doing ok. I am also using the Budwig protocol for my scottish terrier who was diagnosed with cancer and has a tumor on and all around his eye. It grew within 2 days. The vet really can't do anything and told me to keep him comfortable and he is taking Tramadol for pain.
I searched several Budwig sites, some relating to dogs and cats. My Scottie weighs about 23 pounds. Your kitty should be getting half of my Scottie's dosage.
Dosage for your cat:
1/4 TBSP flaxseed oil equals 1 scant teaspoon
1/2 TBSP cottage cheese equals 2 "" teaspoons
1/4 TBSP freshly ground flaxseeds
Also can add, if using:
1/4 tsp organic Turmeric powder (to make sure the Curcumin is still in it is the reason for organic)
2 short grindings from a small peppermill (freshly ground pepper is needed for the Turmeric to be absorbed and activated into the cells.
Make sure you only mix the oil and cottage cheese with a blender until it becomes one. I bought the immersion blender with the stick blender and the whisk 2 in 1. The amounts I am making are so small that the stick blender is not blending it so I use the whisk attachment.
Then I stir in the flaxseeds, turmeric and pepper with a spoon. At the moment I am not using the turmeric and pepper because turmeric is also a blood thinner, and the tumor is making my Scottie bleed pretty bad from his eye and also the oozing lesions from the tumor. I wash it and put triple ointment on it.
During the first week I fed him this 3x a day, now only once, because my boy sometimes does not feel like eating. I also mix a little liverwurst in it or some good canned dog food to entice him to eat.

My dog had a blood red tumor on her torso and I treated it once a day with a teaspoon of tumeric in one tablespoon of blackstrap molasses. Then I rubbed cold pressed castor oil on it and let it soak in for five minutes. The tumor looks like it is drying up but the dried looking part looks black. It is almost gone and I did have it checked to make sure it was cancer free by a vet. Is this discoloration normal?

It's been six months since our kitty Penelope was diagnosed with adeno carcinoma in her nasal passage, above her nose and under her eye. I have used a variety of alternative remedies, no chemo or radiation or surgery and Penelope is still in pretty good shape. She still cleans herself, comes over for petting and enjoys playing with a string...and eats very well.
I started with something from a vet clinic, lipids and green powder etc., that didn't seem to amount to much so I started giving her HP. That may have slowed the progression somewhat, but she hated it, even though it was only a drop or two in water given by syringe twice a day. She would hide all day after I gave it to her so eventually I switched to putting DMSO, HP and baking soda directly over the tumor (the tumor is under the skin). This seemed to cause the tumor to grow and there was more bleeding from her eye and nose. Eventually, I added Essiac Tea and then backed away from putting things on the tumor. When I stopped the DMSO, etc., the tumor shrank like crazy but is still there. I am giving her some antibiotic because of likely infection and am now starting the Budwig protocol. The bleeding has almost stopped altogether. So, it's been quite a journey, and, of course, I can't say where she would be if I'd done nothing. I can say that when I checked with the vet school about what to expect with this cancer I was told that the average life span of a cat given radiation for it is one year.
As for the Budwig formula, there is much information on line as to how to prepare it, but nothing concrete about how much to give a ten pound cat and how many times per day. If anyone can help with that I'd be grateful.
I've read that one should not do any oxygen therapies if they are doing Budwig, so I guess I can't do the DMSO and baking soda, but will continue with mushrooms, green powder and beta glucan, transfer factor, Essiac and turmeric and report back as soon as I see a change for the worse or for the better. Please let me know what amount I should be giving and how often if you happen to know.
Turmeric with black pepper helps the turmeric work faster, also that is like black salve if it bloodroot and you have to be careful of infection after it cures you or your animal bless u all

From what has been prescribed, it sounds like you have a smart and savvy vet. Given that, and that she feels strongly on her approach to treatment, I would choose to follow her advice.
The tumors are hard and tiny and have not spread, and your vet can do local anesthesia [as opposed to general, where they are completely knocked out], and Bailey is in otherwise good shape, I think it would be reasonable to remove the tumors. The thinking for NOT removing them is that it could well be the tumors never pose a problem during the rest of Bailey's life - it could well be that Bailey passes of old age and not due to any complication from mammary cancer. But you have a competent vet who is savvy and who uses both western and alternative approaches to healing, I would not have a problem following your vet's advice in removing these small tumors.
About my concerns over anesthesia. The main thing I do not like about the *general* anesthesia is that it takes a while for the body to filter it out, and I have noticed changes in my animals when they have been knocked out - their hair coat turns dull, they got flaky and dry skin; the Free and Easy Wanderer is liver support so this is just what the doctor ordered [literally! ]. The other thing about knocking them out completely is that the skeleton relaxes to the point where joints will subluxate, so your dog gets knocked out with the bones in the right places, but can wake up with bones all out of wack and in need of a chiropractic adjustment. With the local anesthesia there is less of a tendency for Bailey waking out of it with bones all out of wack; her body will still need to filter out the anesthesia drug, but she will be on liver support and that makes me feel so much better about it :-).
Good morning Theresa. Some updates about Bailey. The vet took a chest x-ray yesterday and the good news is that it doesn't have spread. She said that she will consult with a pet oncologist to see what is Bailey's prognosis. she insisted in removing those cysts to avoid spreading . I also read your opinion about it. I am very confused at this moment I don't know what is the best for her. Remove or not remove them. She gave her Free and Easy Wanderer and Mammary PMG. I am also giving her the essiac tea, and the CC with flax seed oil and putting castor oil with turmeric on her tumors. The are real small. I know I need patience. Please Theresa help me to make a decision . Thank you again.

I have typed out lengthy responses on how I have both done the surgery and in other cases chosen against the surgery and they end up being 6 pages long. So the short version:
If Bailey were my girl, I would not do the surgery; the reality is that chances are great that the mammary tumors will not grow faster than she ages, meaning something else will likely be the cause of her eventual demise rather than the mammary cancer.
She is feeling good right now, so why screw that up by making her recover from surgery and anesthesia? The anesthesia, particularly at this age, is a huge hit to her immune system which in turn allows for other conditions such as yeast to get way out of control.
I would monitor the lumps; if they quadruple in size in the next 6 months I would revisit the idea of surgery, but for now with the Essiac and castor oil packs know that you ARE doing something and these are huge in terms of fighting any cancer and boosting her immune system to fight should this become a battle.

Hi Theresa. I read your response this morning and I went and bought the essiac tea. I am preparing it. I also have done the castor oil packs. I couldn't find chaga , but I need to go to another store tomorrow. What is your opinion on the surgery. I don't understand the fact that bailey is fine , she is happy, eating good. running happy as never before. Could this be happenning to her? Thank you for all you do,

You and Bailey have been together for quite some time; now is the time to really turn inward and turn the inner ears on. I say that because IF Bailey is going to leave you soon, it is important to know that her leaving is part of the plan, part of Bailey's solution to a problem that you may not be able to articulate, and the natural progression of her soul path. So in your natural attempt to keep her with you, please listen - and give permission for her to leave when the time does come, as all of us must do one day.
Now, a plan of action:
Essiac Tea - Om has much info on this tea, there is the original and then the knock offs, so get the original and brew it and add to her food 3x day or so.
Chaga - steep it and add to food as you do the Essiac. Read up on Chaga:

She said that the tumors are malignant. I am devastated and confused. I already started with the castor oil, turmeric and I bought the essiac tea. I don't know what to do. What is the best for her at this moment. The vet wants to remove the tumors. I told her I will call her back. I don't even ask how much it will cost me. I can't afford it. Is the removal necessary? If this were my dog I would brew up Essiac tea and use it as a fluid to soak the kibble. And while castor oil can be taken internally - USP and BP grades can be taken internally, but have a laxative effect - you might have an easier time of it doing an oil pack; you wrap the area with the castor oil pack and let it sit for around an hour and then remove: the pack can be reused a few times. You should seek out high quality castor oil if possible as the regular drug store stuff doesn't pack the same punch.
I can see you doing the oil pack on your girl's belly, and giving her a nice chewy to distract her for a while. She gets the benefit of the castor oil pack and cleans her teeth to boot.
Can your girl have beef? I like to feed beef ribs or beef neck bones; I pop them in a 350 over for half an hour or so, just to the meat on the outside is browned and tasty but the bone is still very much raw on the inside. Feed the bone only when she is in the wrap, so the wrap = good stuff, and then take it away after the hour is up so she doesn't gnaw off more calcium than she can comfortably process ;-)
Hi Theresa: You already helped me with Bailey allergies. She is doing great. I took her to the vet. today and in spite she found her better. She did a cytology on two tumors that she has on her mammary glands. Of course I don't know the results yet. But I have been reading all the posts about tumor and cysts home remedies on this page. What is your advice at this point. The only thing she told me was to change her food. 75% vegetables and 25% protein only mackerel, mixed with turmeric and cayenne pepper just a little bit. Can I start the castor oil ? I will keep you informed. Thank you again.

I had a cat that was 15 who would not eat or drink for 10 days, the vet said bring her in & they would put her to sleep. I took off work & carried her in a sling all day & gave her 4 times a day cod liver oil. On the 10th day she jumped out & started drinking & eating slowly & lived until she was 22 & died in my arms.. She had a tumor in her stomach & the cod liver oil somehow healed it.. could have been a hair ball.. they figured she lived to be 15 & she would die... not so.. Also healed a tumor on my niece's dog's cheek.. I forget the two things I used for a pack..(it is a old treatment for humans with boils etc).. It worked.. also gave a little in the mouth.. I am going to look it up tonite.. some cold packed oil & baking soda (natural kind with no aluminum in it. it works.. look it up.. just put in cold pressed oil & baking soda... cannot remember the name of the oil... should pop up on the computer maybe.. thank u ..
Robbie, I saw your post and have had a similar experience. My dog had a nasty black area on the back of her neck. I started rubbing castor oil into it several times a day, one day went to rub it in and the black area just came off and underneath it was a tumor that was attached to it, the skin had basically healed underneath and forced the tumor out.

Seabuckthornberry berry oil is for human consumption and as my dog has had no adverse reactions to it I would assume it's safe for all dogs. As I truly believed I'd be saying goodbye to Boppo within weeks and I was clutching at straws I went for a high dose, a whole dropper a day. When the tumour had shrunk to virtually nothing I decreased the dose to half a dropper a day and I'm giving him that still. Seabuckthorn berry is easily available in oil form and capsules. I bought the oil from the largest online retailer and it's made in the USA and produced by a company in Chicago, Ill.
I too, cannot afford expensive vet fees. WHY, if their profession is "caring" for animals do they put the cost out of reach for so many people???
I started reading these articles because my 10 yr. old Golden has several TUMORS, different sizes, different textures. I've removed two. Both oozed gross matter before removal. However, I've got an ongoing bill to pay. This berry treatment got my attention rather than turmeric paste, etc., due to oozing. Where do I get this product and how much for an 80 lb Golden Retriever. Risks???

I have a pet rat with a large mammary tumor. She has had surgery for mammary tumors before. They were benign but keep coming back in different areas. I don't know that she could survive another surgery. I am giving her turmeric and molasses orally. Should I try castor oil and turmeric on the tumor itself? Any feedback would be appreciated.

I live in London, England and I have a 14 year old American Spaniel, Boppo. In the past year Boppo has lost his sight and his hearing but he still has mobility and he gets around just fine. However in late January 2015 Boppo developed a tumour on his mouth. It grew rapidly and went from the size of a marble to the size of a small tomato. The vet told me that Boppo could not be treated as he was too old to be anaesthesised. Looking around on the net I found this thread from 07/14/2012 describing how Beanie had treated her dog with Seabuckthorn Berry oil (which I'd never heard of) and the treatment had worked. I obtained some Seabuckthorn Berry oil and I've been giving Boppo a whole dropper full every day for 5 weeks. It's quite incredible and difficult to believe but there is now no trace of the tumour. I have now reduced the dose to a half a dropper every day and I'm eternally grateful for having come across Earthclinic and to Beanie in particular.
My wife's cat, Piglet (Apple of her eye), had his left hind leg removed b/c of the tumor there, couldn't get margins on it etc., and then it started back again on the spot where his leg used to be. He wouldn't stop licking it wide open, so we've just had him wearing the old Cone of Shame. They get used to it after awhile, and we take it off him every day or so for awhile so he can bathe himself (under our strict supervision so we can keep him from licking the tumor). You'll want to brush your cat a lot though, since they can't do it for themselves anytime they like with the cone on, and of course lots of scritches and petting around the neck/head where he can't reach anymore.
VitaCost.com is great for the Turmeric. I purchase Organice 1#for approx $12. The castor oil too.. organic..Heritage brand. If you use the caster oil packs I buy the flannel from them as well.
Strange thing happening. I have been putting the castor oil on my cat's tumors and the skin on top became black and hard and fell off. Under this I can see the pink tumors. I applied castor oil and aloe vera to them and am hoping this continues the healing. Anyone else have this happen with the castor oil?
Betty, I put it in her food and she turned her nose at it and wouldn't touch it. Thanks for trying to help. :) I have added a pinch of baking soda to her water and also a touch of H2O2. The tumor is now only a 1/3 the size it was before and sores are healing.
I have found that turmeric capsules put in pet food works better - they cannot taste it..available at health stores or herbal internet sale, I use Puritain Pride for quality.

Since applying castor oil for a week to my cats fatty tumor it has opened and looks painful. It is under her arm and is causing the leg to swell hugely. Is this normal? should I continue applying castor oil since it is open? She has a cluster of smaller ones too. I tried adding turmeric to her food and she refused it. Please help.
Kathy, research on ESSIAC four herb with all roots from ESSIAC WEST online. It will remove those tumours and cleanse the system. I am using it for myself for detox. It could be your dog will be like new.
If a tumour does rupture, put loads of turmeric into the opening. Do not add pepper to turmeric - it is nonsense.

I am reading these posts about caster oil and tumeric for tumors in dogs. I am considering treating my dog, but one of the MANY tumors is quite large on her right shoulder. The size of my hand... Like I am holding a grapefruit. I am concerned about caring for something like that if it ruptures...

The scary stuff about zinc chloride is quite unfounded. It is a caustic but the safest one to use, and has pH 5.5 - not so far from neutral. Medically, it's injected directly into the bloodstream for zinc deficiency and for parenteral feeding. It's in baby food, cosmetics, livestock feed. Dr Mohs stated it was the best caustic for bloodroot salves because it does not effect normal tissue. Without its use, he would have achieved no fame. Dermatologists still use his paste today for skin cancers. (Though they still cut the tumor out before the immune system can push it out). It's basically the same stuff that Weldon Fells and Harry Hoxsey used. And it's what I used, too, to remove a melanoma. Pictures at natural black salve dot com

Hi my shepherd mix had a fatty tumor on her front leg. It grew quite large and then the skin started to split. I took her to the Vet and he said it would take 3 surgeries and about $2600 to remove but suggested I go home and research some remedies to get it to shrink. I found this site and began applying a turmeric paste to it and then gave her 2 times a day a teaspoon of turmeric and a teaspoon of black strap molasses in some wet food. In about 3 weeks the tumor started to oooze. It was in the evening so I just wrapped it up and let it drain. I brought her to the Vet. After examining it he said it had shrunk considerable and now was only one surgery and less than half the cost. He had me take her home and let it continue to drain. The next day she had her surgery and she is as good as new! It was amazing, I didn't think it was working but it did and it took awhile and yes it was gross when it was draining but certainly worth it.
My dog has a possible sarcoma lump on her armpit. I have mixed castor oil and turmeric and have been applying it topically. Also giving turmeric capsules in food. After a month, the lump is the same size, but oddly the skin around it is red and bloody today. I heard that lumps seem to get worse before getting better, but the lump is the same color, the skin around it is red. I am wondering if the friction of the paste is causing a skin irritation since its in the armpit area. Anybody seen this?

I've been using molasses/baking soda for my 16 year old cat with oral squamous cell carcinoma which was discovered in Oct. 2013. Her veterinary treatment consisted of conventional methods using Clindamycin and Prednasone. After her last round of this in April 2014, the ulceration was still there. Out of desperation, I tried the molasses baking soda cancer cure. I've been treating her myself with this since the end of April 2014 and her level of stabilization has much improved. With conventional treatment, it was an "on" and "off" thing with rounds of medicine and in between rounds, the inflamed red ulceration in her mouth would come back big time. Although I've not cured my kitty, the massive ulceration hasn't returned since I've been using this treatment which has made a big improvement in maintaining her quality of life. In addition to the molasses/baking soda mixture, I also give her a standardized triple blend of Shiitake, Maitake, and Reishi mushrooms plus standardized Maitake d-fraction. I've also found that KMR milk replacement to be a good choice to use when the inflammation in her mouth would worsen. I add in some other supplements as well and they can vary. At age 16, I know we're on borrowed time at best, but I'm glad to have been able to keep her for as long as I have. Roughly ninety percent of these cats are dead within one year of diagnosis. Fortunately, I still have my kitty, Mandi, and next month it will be one year since we started this journey together.
My elder Schnauzer/maltese mix has developed a bulbous growth on the edge of his gum right next to his incisor tooth. My friend recommended trying castor oil on it. Would it be safe and could it help since it's in his mouth? Any suggestions?
Hi all - thanks in advance for your help. My Lexi developed mammary tumors last December but only showed symptoms recently. I took her to the surgeon who quoted me $3000 to remove them but to be honest I just don't have it. What is happening is they swell up once a week and she is uncomfortable and lethargic. In a couple of days they start to drain through the nipple and she feels great again. What comes out is gross - a sticky white pus, no smell but gross - although I am happy to see it drain. I tried castor oil last night using warm compresses first, then soaking a cotton pad in the oil and putting the warm compress on top. I do want to be sure the castor oil is safe since the nipple drains. I don't want to clog it as I think that may be part of the problem (stick pus clogging it so now I use hydrogen peroxide tto was nightly). I read somewhere castor oil may not be safe so I want to be sure. It is her upper left nipple so she can not reach it to lick off.
Any and all suggestions are great. She is just under 11 and about 9lbs (a yorkie) - and she is an angel.
2 days ago I visited an herbalist in a holistic pet store who I trust - he has been there well over 20 years and is very respected. He is changing her diet - wants her off poultry and beef - and instead instructed me to get down 3 other proteins she will eat. Not appetizing yet but she will get over it. He wants bison, venison, salmon, rabbit, buffalo, lamb, pork or other fish. I am to get him 3 and he will come up w/recipes or a commercial option. He also wants her to fast once a week (which wont bother her at all).
In her food he gave us Gentle Digest Prebiotic and Probiotics, DMG immune strength support drops (N, N-Dimethylglycine (DMG)), Canine Immune System support (ingredients here: too many to post! https://www.standardprocess.com/Products/Veterinary-Formulas/Canine-Immune-System-Support ) and a Chinese herbs formula called Survival which is Frankincense, Zedoria, , Oldenlandia, Curcurma, Lindera, Licorice & Gynostemma which is out of the Connecticut Institute for Herbal Studies. The trick is getting them in her which is NOT going very well, but again she will have to get over it too. I have now realized she knows the word medicine and goes and hides. She is smart!

Hi, Theresa, if you look on EC DMSO, it should be diluted, for humans especially on the upper part of the body. That is how I am using it without the skin texture changing. I do not get the garlic smell; some people do.

The first time I used DMSO on my dog, I rubbed it on his skin and he too acted like your dog, kind of antsy. I thought it was just that he didn't like the smell...like garlic, but then I rubbed some on my skin and I knew what it was....it burns. Went to my computer to see if it was supposed to do that and I read in one article that you're supposed to pat the DMSO on, not rub it on or it will burn. I had done a lot of research into using DMSO before trying it and had never read that it would burn if rubbed on. I now pat it on my dog and he's fine with it, doesn't mind it at all. I'm surprised that more people don't mention the fact that it will burn if rubbed on.

Your vets did not give you much hope. Big Pharma is heading the schools for doctors and they do not allow the word "cure". When health is a business...
I found out about castor oil on Edgar Cayce's website where it is called "Palma Christy." I also saw it on EC.
Professional people are busy making money and few have the time to do research. Allopathic meds. do not believe in herbs unless they can be patented. That means only big money but certainly not good health.
I have always believed in myself and still do. Other people are not concerned. For example, I heard a woman in a group ask a medical doctor about vitamins. She gave an answer. But do allopathic doctors know or are educated about vitamins? One has to follow the heart and not the money.
So my vet suggested I wash Stoli's tumor area & surrounding area 2x daily with chlorhexidine very diluted, and told me that the oozing is not just from infection it's from the cancer itself so it won't get better. This will just help to clean & cut down on the smell. I have turmeric and organic coconut oil but no castor oil. Consulted with a holistic vet today over phone and she said do NOT use castor oil on Stoli.
Theresa from Acworth, GA. you will see on EC many people had success with turmeric mixed in castor oil as well. Also, keep in mind that tumors, before they collapse, enlarge first as if to gather the cells first.
Since there is a lot of oozing, turmeric would be more appropriate with the castor oil. Also look up Essiac West and the genuine site with a green background. Do look up EC on pets and tumors.
Can he wear a collar, especially when you have just applied the mixture? There is much hope, believe me. Cover the mixture with love.
Update...have used the DMSO & H2O2 on my husky's tumor at base of tail. It seemed to be a little better over night, not oozing as much...until he started licking it again! Its in a hard place to keep covered. I also noticed that he seemed to pace and pant for awhile after applying it, almost like he was antsy. I was worried he might have a heart attack, but my husband said it didn't feel like his heart was racing. Has anyone else experienced this? It's sort of a funky smell also. Really need to get this oozing under control and the abcess's closed. Please send my Stoli some positive energy! Thanks

I have no first hand experience with your situation, but reading through the replies the answer is YES - you are to apply the mixture directly on the open tumor and on the surrounding tissue as well.
Can this combination be used on the open sores on a cancerous tumor... Located at the base of my 14 yr old huskys tail. I'm desperate to get this oozing infection under control. This dog is still walking up to 2 mi a day, drinking & eating and pottying outside. Please advise. Thanks Teresa

I have no first hand experience with naltrexone but I did some research for you.
If you have it in liquid form, you can add water and draw it up in a syringe and drip that into your dog's mouth. If you have a tablet then hide it in some cream cheese or other soft food.
Also additional support to Kati's reply to Mellisa. From my understanding when skin growths as tumors are being treated with natural health remedies, they will have ugly looking symptoms when they are breaking down from the natural destroying process. So, I would not stop treatment. I know it can seem bad but it is a good thing in a natural healing process.
I have experienced headaches, cold like symptoms, slight rashes, swelling of the face and lymph glands from taking nutrional supplements and eating lots of veggies and fruits. These symptoms lasted only a day or two. I have also experienced upon each wiping of my nose to seeing blood and dark dried blood on my tissue for about ten days. I believe these are all symptoms of toxins leaving my body. Have patience and faith that all this will end and healing will be done.

Princess has a tumor on her leg and one on her breast, the one on her breast has grown to the size of a grapefruit, I will try these remedies ive seen mentioned her she is very old.
