Castor Oil and Baking Soda for Warts

I keep a mixture which I keep in a pot with a little spoon for warts. It's a really simple mix of castor oil and baking soda made into a paste.

Every night for 3 weeks as you are going to bed cover the wart in the paste and tape over it. In the morning you take off the tape and do nothing.

You leave it to slowly die and fall off on it's own over a few weeks. If it's a nice big established wart and doesn't look like it's dying then repeat the 3 weeks of taping at night.

The mixture effectively suffocates the thing, like a plant without oxygen.

Sometimes I use corn plasters and fill the hole in the middle with the paste, this is for my kids who are a bit wriggly - it keeps the paste in place.

It has never failed me and it's the simplest thing to do. It doesn't hurt either. You just have to be patient. Usually you look one day and it's fallen off without you even realising, because it dies after the treatment has ended.

Voodoo Remedies for Warts

My 3 year old grandson had several warts under his nose. His mom had had some burned off twice before, but could not put him through that again. I found the raw potato remedy on this sight and figured we had nothing to loose but a potato. I cut the potato in half, peeled a little of one edge away so we could make good contact with the warts under his nose. We rubbed the warts ONE TIME, ensuring we got the juice on all of them. He and I then went and buried the potato in the back yard and didn't tell anyone where we buried it. Within a couple days, one at a time, the warts started getting smaller and within three weeks, they were all gone. You couldn't even see where they were. This is truly a miracle cure
and hope everyone tries this. Thank you for your publication!!!

ACV, Banana Peel, Duct Tape
Posted by David (New York, New York) on 05/11/2009
★★★★★

Used a banana peel/acv "one two" combo with duct tape for a wart. Here's the story. I've had a wart on my forehead for maybe a year and a half. In the beginning i just thought it was a pimple i couldn't get rid of. And because it grew so slowly i was adjusting psychologically to its presence and not doing anything, but finally, i'm like, it's huge and ugly, it's on my forehead, it's a WART, and i'm getting rid of it, somehow. Didn't want to spend a lot of money, so went on the net, found you guys. I went with the ripe banana peel inverted, pressed and sealed over the wart with duct type. I'd rub the peel liberally on it first. Did that for a night and a day, not removing the duct tape except once to put in a new peel. Then browsing around on your site, got curious about apple cider vinegar as cure-all ingestant, so went and out got that (along with some OP sesame oil just for giggles). So then, changing the banana dressing, knowing that ACV was the other popular wart cure and that i had some right in front of me, i took a q-tip, dipped it in the ACV, then jammed it at the wart, for a few minutes (By the way, I wasn't positive that the peel had done much by this point but thought not to judge from the short amount of time). Felt a nice burn, which i enjoyed. If there's pain, there's death. Cause the thing's gotta die, right? But anyway... Then i rubbed a new banana peel on it, and put the duct tape on, and went to bed. Next morning, i noticed the thing was irritated, red and uglier than usual. I put another banana peel with duct tape on. In the afternoon, i'm like, "you know... i liked that BURN from the ACV. Let's do that now." So i repeated my q-tip ACV application for a few minutes. Then i dipped another q-tip in the ACV, this time cut the end of it with scissors, cut it small enough for it to just cover the wart area, placed it on the wart and duct taped it over. Going to bed, vigorously rubbed banana peel on wart, then duct taped wart over ACV'd q-tip (no peel). Waking up, I did banana peel. [SORRY THIS IS BORING BUT IT'S ALMOST OVER]. Evening, I looked at thing, it had shrunk, was red and black. Decided to hit it with ACV. Tested it with my fingernail to see if there was any dead stuff to slough off, and then the thing started bleeding, slowly but non-stop. So for like a half-hour, i q-tipped it with ACV until it stopped bleeding, then duct taped it over another ACV'd cut q-tip for the night. I'd planned to see some friends, but not happening! Next morning (yesterday, actually), I looked at it, knew I'd won. It was black and laying flat just below surface skin level, like a mesa, unlike the protrusive mass it was before. Pressing on it, I felt a soreness, but in the healthy normal skin encasing it, not the wart itself. It was dead. I decided to just slap some duct tape on it without anything for the rest of the day and night. Now it's today, the next day, and I've removed the duct tape, so the area will dry out and hopefully the wart will fall out, no reason why it shouldn't, it's not living after all! heheh :)

Some thoughts: Obviously, i just followed my whims with this treatment, using what i read here as a guide. The banana peel definitely had a less aggressive feel. Don't know if it would have worked on its own. One thing I notice is that the immediately surrounding skin looks great. Really pink, plump and healthy. Maybe there's a facial in it for the girls out there (and boys ;p)

Finally: The site is very cool. Thanks a lot to you people for making it happen. One problem or question: People here really seem to be into "oil-pulling". I'm now in the process of trying it from having visited here. Thing is, i've looked all over the web including on this site to find any rational explanation of how it works, and have just drawn blanks from my perspective. How does it detoxify? HOW? All you see written is that it "pulls" toxins out. Okay, how does "that" work? Or that a doctor from India told some Ukrainian doctors that it works and if they don't believe him, try it for themselves. I understand fasting for detox. Makes perfect sense: Body gets overloaded with toxins, can't process them out of the system, meaning they stay in. Stop food intake, body gets a break to process out the toxins. But "oil-pulling"? Well, i'm trying it, but without a better explanation i'm skeptical it's not just placebo. Would be interested in anyone's thoughts on the subject.

ACV, Banana Peel, Duct Tape

From my readings and personal experience, Erin's views on the common "herx reaction" and debunking Oil Pulling is simply very far from the truth. My O.P experience has nothing to do with oral health but everything to do with detoxification, or to be precise, elimination. As-a-matter-of-fact, back-to-back O.P. (o.t.c. commercial grade vegie oil) left my mouth contaminated w/ pathogens so I had to begin swishing Colloidal Silver fallowing. I also have been adding Grapefruitseed Extract to the oil which helps keep the pathogens killed (rarely need to swish C.S. now). I don't suppose Erin has read my post on my "Diffusion Gradient" theory for the efficacy of O.P. The volume & density of the oil in the mouth are simply many times that of those toxins stored in the lipid or fat cells in the body. Same kinda rule goes with detox foot spas. The volume of water plus the negative ionic charge of the water forces toxins to un-bond from the sites and drawn to the tub.

Now about the Zinc, along w/ small doses of copper, other accessory nutrients like Vit-A and Vit-B6 will greatly enhance the efficacy of the Zinc.

Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide(full strength) cured my wart on my index finger that has been plaguing me for 3 years. I've tried every suggestion banana peels, apple cider vinegar and duct tape. I just didn't have the patience to stick with these for months. I just bought H2o2 at my local health food store and took a cue tip and held it on the wart for as long as I could stand. It took like 10 minutes(also I've tried a band aid to hold in place). After the 2nd or third application it started falling off. Thanks earth clinic. I've been reading you guys for years.

i discovered coconut oil about 4 yrs ago and was using it for seborhea, and for dry patches of skin. I rubbed it into my cuticles each night, and on day 6, i realized the wart that had been on my finger for a few years was totally GONE! It had to be the oil, because i was not using a wart remover. Also, i have found that coconut oil helps heal my seborhea patches quickly, whereas medicines did not.

Grapefruit Seed Extract

I had good results using Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE). I put a small amount on the tip of a Q-Tip and placed it directly on the wart. Be careful not to get too much on the skin surrounding it, as it will burn. If the wart is in a place where it will get covered with clothing, I'd cover it up with a bandaid. This doesn't take long at all. Two or three days should be enough.

Apple Cider Vinegar for Warts

To remove warts, lightly ruff up the wart with a finger nail file. Lightly soak a cotton ball with ACV and hold it on the wart for 20 minutes for 5 -7 days. The wart will start turning black and will be completely gone in 10 days. No scars that come from surgery.

Wart Removal Tips
Posted by St (Eugene, OR) on 03/06/2021
★★★★☆

I am using a natural wart remover similar to ACV, on a wart right on my hairline, on my forehead. I also did a lot of research on do-it-yourself wart removal. In the past I have smothered a wart by simply putting a band-aid on it but can't do that with it being in my hairline. So I am simply applying the "cure" with a Q-tip several times a day. It's been a few weeks and it's going but I think I might also try the ACV.

What I wanted to stress is this will not be the same for everybody. People who have very fast results are lucky. I'm wondering if it may be something to do with the type of wart/mole. As for panicking over it being cancer, I wouldn't. My research indicated that the ones that turn really black and cause a hole, could be, but it will still work with perseverance.

It's paramount to be patient and not pick at it. I still think smothering is at least half the solution but, if you can't, like me, it still works but takes longer. Nothing works in exactly the same way for everybody. For some people (maybe me) it can take months. But I see it working. Just an interesting aside, my father used to do what we called "predict warts". People would show him a wart and he would say it would go away at such and such a time and I saw it work several times. I never had any for him to predict and he's gone now but warts--and people--are funny things. Maybe keep that in mind. But, mostly, be patient and don't let up.

Hi Missm,

Thank you for the tip on getting rid of warts!

You didn't say, but are you adding the Tagamet to the soak or taking it orally and how much are you using?

I agree with you, probably not good as a long term antiviral.

Lugol's Iodine

Lugols iodine for wart:

My son over a long period slowly developed a wart. At first it was a hard bump, but skin colored, and not really bothersome, so I didn't know what it was. Eventually it turned very hard and brown, so diagnosis. Read through all warts postings, gave two zinc from food capsules, pinched the flesh from either side of the wart, these actions both boost immune system and show where the fight is needed. On two occasions about a day apart I had him sit awkwardly so I could put drops of iodine to saturate and allow them to soak in before moving. About 10 mins then dry enough to move.

Wart fell out cleanly a couple days after second treatment.

I think ACV is a great way to treat issues naturally! I used it on a wart on my arm that got really dark so I became concerned. So I used ACV and after only two days of applying ACV on the spot then putting Scotch tape over it three times per day, it is nearly gone. It is white. Now I have a spot on the side of my nose that keeps bleeding and won't heal. I have a cotton ball with ACV taped to my nose and will continue with this treatment. I believe it is working.

Banana Peel

I have already used the banana peel remedy before on my genital area and it worked fine. It got rid of it and didn't scarred. Unfortunately, when I tried using the same method (banana peel secured by a medical tape) on my torso (chest and belly area) it didn't work and had somehow left burn-like scars from the medical tape's adhesive. Just use with caution, even if it worked on some parts of the body, it may not work on the other parts.

Warts are viruses. One of my go-to's for viruses is Lysine. Garlic paste and fresh aloe vera are two other good cures. Good luck, warts suck.

Apple Cider Vinegar

HI U HANNAH,,,,,,,,,,,,, have told this story before, but you need to hear it. My little sister had warts all over her hands. A guy at the mill told my dad that a heated pencil lead inserted into a wart would kill it. I was in college at the time and when he decided to do this I objected, saying this is dumb and you will give her blood poison. He ignored me and stuck a heated pencil led into each wart.

In a week or so all my little sister's warts were gone and I had egg on my face. Don't know the science behind this, but it worked. Since then I have been hesitant to doubt natural cures.

Chelidonium Majus Herb

Whenever I contract a wart I go to nature and search for the plant called Chelidonium majus (Swallow Wort / Greater Celandine).

How it works:

This plant produces a yellow 'milk' when its stems are cut. I apply this milk directly on the wart (only wart - omit healthy skin) and leave it to dry. I take a section of such plant with me home, and I apply the milk few more times over next 1-2 days. It depends on the size of the wart. Sometimes I need just one or two applications and the wart is gone within a week or two. (You need to allow some time for it to disappear and for skin to restore itself in that damaged place.)

The strongest milk seems to be down where the stems turn to roots - it has nearly orange colour. Make sure, you don't destroy whole plant, while taking a section of it - it might help you next time and you will already know where it grows...

It has never failed to kill the wart on me and the plant is actually quite well known in central EU countries as a wart killer. I have managed to heal warts on other people with it too. You can even find it during winter under the snow, if you know where it grows, or you have it in your garden.

Precautions:
1. The downside of it is, that after the milk dries on your skin, it goes through the oxidation process and turns dark brown.
So for few days you have to walk around with a dark brown spot.

2. Be careful with the milk - it contains alkaloid chelidonine. Alkaloids are powerful substances found in many plants, able to cure various diseases, but should be handled with extra caution and used wisely. Make sure children understand that they shall not put it into their mouth / eyes. Keep away from home pets, mainly from birds.

Iodine

I concur on the Lugol's Iodine. I have 5% and used it on multiple warts on my daughter's foot. After a couple of treatments (7-10 days apart), they are sloughing off and disappearing. The trick for us was to scrape the skin on the top and hold the foot in a position where the drop could be allowed to "sit" on top of the wart surface to absorb into the skin as much as possible. I used this on my thumb as well. Very happy with this!

Oregano Oil
Posted by Marie (Va) on 03/07/2016
★★★★★

My daughter had two warts appear at age 6, one on her finger and one on foot. At age 8, we were fed up with over the counter remedies. We waited a year after her doctor treated with the 'frozen method', they came back bigger and spread on her fingers.

I used Oregano Oil dabbed on a cotton swab and they were killed and never returned after two weeks.

Warning....Oregano Oil is a hot oil to the skin and can burn the skin if too much is applied or rubbed on skin. Only use directly on the wart with a q-tip. It works! Use twice a day for a week or two. Hers went away after two weeks and did not return. It worked for us and she has been free of them for 2 years.

Good luck.

Remember Oregano Oil can be hot once on the skin or burn the skin. Do not rub on skin. Only use a Q-Tip!! The frozen method the doctor used actually was more painful our daughter mentioned and what we witnessed then the slight sting on the area from the oil. It must kill the fungus at the root of the wart. They just fell off about two weeks later and haven't returned.

Look it up as it has other uses as well. I believe it is an anti-fungal.

Vegetable and Fruit Diet

Hi, I had plantar warts for 6 years and tried everything to get rid of them (bazooka, azote, creams, natural treatments...) but nothing worked. I did last October a fruit and veggies detox for two weeks and to my big surprise my warts disappeared. I read them some articles saying that detox boots the immune system and helps get rid of them. For me this is probably the best treatment as not only you get rid of warts but also of the virus from your body so they are much less likely to disappear for longer. My warts were huge and really growing despite daily treatments so if it worked for meit is really worth trying (Vegetables, fruits, water, cereals for two weeks and you will see amazing benefits) :)

handsdown ACV WORKS!!!! I had a wart for a few years. I sought medical line of treatments and otc packs (dr.scolls). nothing worked. Finally I used ACV PACK, the duct tape method and changing the pack every 3 days after gentle scrubbing..for 2 months. Results: voila ...it just vanished and I saw new skin coming, yet I continued for one more month.. I don't have a sign of it now ? it's slow but surely works!!!! Try it now. Be very religious about the procedure. Do not be lazy!! It WORKS!
