Iodine

I had a wart on my arm that was pretty persistent. It would go away with a couple of months of ACV but would come back in another month. I decided to dab iodine tincture on it 2-3 times a week for about 2 months. That tiny dab did the trick. It's been about 6 months and it hasn't come back. The skin is clear and healed over.

Apple Cider Vinegar

My dad had a pretty nasty growth on top of his ear that I figured was a wart. So one day I decided I was going to use my hippy method on him to prove that ACV is the bomb. My mom only had the pasteurized stuff, so I soaked that in a little piece of cotton ball, applied it to the growth which I had previously cleaned with an alcohol pad, held it all there with a huge Band-Aid. Kept in on there for 3 days, changed it everyday.

By the third day it had turned black and was beginning to flake off. Mom decided to let it get some air. It pretty much fell off on its own after that. So use your discretion on how long you want to keep the vinegar on it- but I say HOSE THE THING if you can stand it. It worked so fast. Some of the surrounding skin was also flaking off, but maybe it was infected as well. I just looked at the spot- two weeks later- it's like that thing was never there. Just a tiny little scab is left and the surrounding area is nice fresh pink tissue. This thing was probably the size of 2 pencil erasers together and it's gone!

I had a wart driving itself into the left side of my neck & was slow doing something about it...finally I got on to this site. I first used duct tape only on it for the first 3 days & then Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) applied twice a day with a cotton ball & band-aid for the next 3 days & it just fell off leaving no scars etc. Thanks heaps to this site!

Dandelion
Posted by Clare (Lytham St Annes, England) on 05/01/2013

The white milk from the broken stem of a dandelion applied to the wart clears it up in a couple of weeks - if it's small.

Acetone
Posted by Wendy (Ny) on 09/29/2015

This is pretty interesting, because I had a brainstorm of using liquid bandage on a wart above lip (this is ruining my life), and I noticed after just one application it shrunk about 30% or more. My purpose was to starve the wart of oxygen, much like duct tape...which obviously just wouldn't work for my face. The liquid bandage contains acetone, among other ingredients. I was just using a generic brand. I've been doing it when I'm inside the house for the night.

Dim

My son had a large wart on the ball of his foot (about 2" round) and he had it burned out by a dermatologist and it returned, he tried all the alternative remedies but nothing worked. Finally, a podiatrist suggested the supplement - DIM. After 3 weeks of faithfully taking the pills according to the bottles instructions, the wart started to get smaller and smaller. After 3 months on the DIM, the wart was gone and has not returned. DIM eliminated any excess estrogen and balanced the hormones. Don't know why it works rid warts, but it works. Praise God.

Bandaid

Banana Peel didn't work for me and I did try it. Here's my story: I was sharing a shower with others in a house I used to live in. One of the occupants came to me one day and asked me if I knew of how to get rid of a plantar wart. I didn't even know what one was though it was apparent it grew on the bottom of the foot. Months later, I noticed what I thought was a splinter in my right foot and due to exhaustion, I kept putting off tending to it as I didn't feel it sometimes. Finally, I got someone to look at it and they said that it looked like a wart. Then came the research about it. I was glad I didn't pick at it before and was determined to get rid of this wart on the bottom of my foot even though it was very small. I wasn't happy about it because it meant I too now had to be careful not to go barefeet anywhere as I may give it to someone. I went overseas very shortly after and due to (long story) I couldn't see any medical expert about it because they couldn't speak English anyway.

I tried for months, in between tears and anger, the following to get rid of them: apple cider vinegar, brown vinegar, white vinegar, toothpaste, banana peel, duct tape (useless because it didn't stay on) salt, iodine, nail polish, nail polish remover, white out and probably a few other things. None of it worked. I was furious and by this time, one plantar wart became two and then it spread causing me to have a plantar wart on the bottom of my left foot, then I think I got another wart on my right foot. Great. What now? I began to quite hate the person who ignorantly used to walk around barefoot everywhere in the house not bothering to tell me that he had something contagious on the bottom of his foot. I felt a bit like a leper.

Finally I returned to my own country and tried to see a specialist who wasn't in and so I saw the doctor who prescribed a very expensive cream for me that could have been dangerous. I threw the script away and soon after, came across someone's site where they were explaining in general the following, which made sense to me so I tried my own slightly different version of their instructions. First I must say that months before, I noted almost by accident that when my feet were enclosed for long periods of time, my skin almost looked like it was suffocating (under my feet) and the plantar warts really rose up and looked quite scary to me. I wasn't sure what to do so I'd let my feet 'air' as much as I could. (Wrong. )

Ok - here's the method, and it WILL work because it makes sense AND it worked for me. Close to a miracle. Duct tape doesn't work because it's NOT STRONG ENOUGH and continues to let air in to allow that stinking plantar wart to breathe! You've really got to suffocate it. Go to the Chemist or Pharmacy or Drug Store and buy some ATHLETIC TAPE. It's very STRONG bandaid that's on a roll. The one I bought was also called Sportsplast. The tape I bought was wide and a brown type colour. You cut about four or five inches across (maybe 15cm across) and basically on your clean foot, you simply put that 'tough as nails and concrete' bandaid onto the bottom of your foot - making sure to COVER entirely the plantar wart/s. This particular bandaid has NO GAUZE on it. You DON'T NEED gauze on it. It's very tough. You can even take a shower with it on and it won't come off. I left my first bandaid on for about 7-10 days. I really felt like it was making a difference. Then I slowly ripped it off. Didn't hurt, just felt a bit weird. I saw a DIFFERENCE! It looked like it was receding - going away/healing. Ok, what the bandaid does is, not only is it SUFFOCATING the plantar warts, apparently it is causing them to have NOWHERE to go. Remember, when they suffocated on my foot before, they rose to the top of the skin and looked even worse. This is the plantar wart PANICKING!! Now, when the bandaid has enclosed around and over the plantar wart, the plantar wart tries to get air and when it can't get it, it PANICS causing - wait for it - your IMMUNE SYSTEM to notice something funny going on down there. It goes to check it out and finds the foreign entity namely, the plantar warts. What does it do then? The immune system begins to kill the plantar wart because it knows it's a foreign body. Bit by bit, the plantar wart weakens and gets killed off. You start to feel happier. Yes. It's possible, but you must find the bandaid preferably without gauze and as tough as CONCRETE man!! It's got to stick to your foot through hail and storm. I put another fresh lot of tough bandaids on the bottom of my feet again for a further 10 days or something and the plantar warts continued to get even smaller but of course, I had to make sure they were totally gone. Every now and then I felt a sting - probably the virus still trying to set up house down there. I think it was the third or fourth time after taking the bandaid off, I couldn't believe it - when I took the bandaid off, the actual plantar warts came off with the bandaid!! It was like looking at the dead enemy. To make triply sure, I put more bandaid on there. This is totally the cure. Sometimes I put two layers of bandaid on the bottom of my foot, just to make sure. I don't have any stings at this point and my feet are bandaid free but I haven't walked on any floor barefoot yet due to paranoia and always wear sandals in the shower these days. My feet look all clear but after that experience, I don't know when I will walk barefeet on any hard surface anymore as who knows if a teeny-tiny bit of whatever might infect someone else. I'm possibly being paranoid though, but my feet look normal again. You've got to try it - make sure it's REALLY TOUGH STURDY TOUGH AS CONCRETE BANDAID.
This is what was on the website: SPORTSPLAST PREMIUM STRAPPING TAPE.
Flesh colour.
Serrated edges.
137 Mtrs (45' 8") length per roll
For all high stress joint sports strapping needs.
*I don't recommend putting it on the top of your foot as the skin is more sensitive there and will hurt if you try and take it off. Good luck, although you probably won't need it!

I wanted to add my remedy for warts, but I don't see how to do that. If you cna add it for me that would be great, I really want to help others get rid of their warts too!

All I did was put one drop of undiluted grapefruit seed extrat on the wart each night and covered it with a bandage. I let it uncover the whole day and only used the GSE at night and withing one week it hade turn black underneath and fell off! Hope this works for others.

Aloe Vera

Rub the cut edge, of a piece of an Aloe vera leaf, on the planters wart 2 times a day, for 2 weeks. Cover with bandage if you wish. A small piece of a leaf cut off the plant will be enough to last for several days if you keep it in the refrigerator.
This worked for my daughter. Out of 20 of our doctors patients, this worked for 19. He had a patient with planters warts that kept returning after being removed. The patients grandmother had the remedy!

ACV, Banana Peel, Duct Tape
Posted by Terri (Great Falls, Va) on 11/21/2011

I used ACV on my 9-yr old's filiform wart on lip and it came off after one dosage. I taped a small amout of cotton soaked in ACV on the wart, left it on overnight (removed in am). The wart came off the next day. Successful treatment. I cancelled his appt with the derm for surgical removal.

Few years ago I had really bad warts, a old neighbour said try a very very thin slice of garlic and tape it on if the pain gets to bad take it off. I done this for 3 days and within a week all my warts were gone. Also if don't want to use tape you can before sleeping rub raw garlic clove for around 5min and won't smell in morning. I had so many warts tried everything from doctors to freezing at hospital and nothing worked they would come back. After doing this they have never returned. Thank God

Yes, Blackstrap molasses works on warts. When I was a young child my mother gave us 1 tablespoon a day. We would have it in milk. My mother got this idea because we would give our cows a molasses block to rid them of warts. It works!

Castor Oil

As a teenager I had five "seed" warts on my right middle finger. They drove me nuts for a about three years until my mother suggested I use castor oil. I would soak small pieces of of a cotton ball in the castor and then place it on the wart held on with surgical tape. After about three weeks of this all of my warts had disolved. There was no scar and the surrounding skin was not effected. I hear that castor oil is also good for longer, thicker eye lashes.

ACV, Banana Peel, Duct Tape
Posted by David (New York, New York) on 05/11/2009

Used a banana peel/acv "one two" combo with duct tape for a wart. Here's the story. I've had a wart on my forehead for maybe a year and a half. In the beginning i just thought it was a pimple i couldn't get rid of. And because it grew so slowly i was adjusting psychologically to its presence and not doing anything, but finally, i'm like, it's huge and ugly, it's on my forehead, it's a WART, and i'm getting rid of it, somehow. Didn't want to spend a lot of money, so went on the net, found you guys. I went with the ripe banana peel inverted, pressed and sealed over the wart with duct type. I'd rub the peel liberally on it first. Did that for a night and a day, not removing the duct tape except once to put in a new peel. Then browsing around on your site, got curious about apple cider vinegar as cure-all ingestant, so went and out got that (along with some OP sesame oil just for giggles). So then, changing the banana dressing, knowing that ACV was the other popular wart cure and that i had some right in front of me, i took a q-tip, dipped it in the ACV, then jammed it at the wart, for a few minutes (By the way, I wasn't positive that the peel had done much by this point but thought not to judge from the short amount of time). Felt a nice burn, which i enjoyed. If there's pain, there's death. Cause the thing's gotta die, right? But anyway... Then i rubbed a new banana peel on it, and put the duct tape on, and went to bed. Next morning, i noticed the thing was irritated, red and uglier than usual. I put another banana peel with duct tape on. In the afternoon, i'm like, "you know... i liked that BURN from the ACV. Let's do that now." So i repeated my q-tip ACV application for a few minutes. Then i dipped another q-tip in the ACV, this time cut the end of it with scissors, cut it small enough for it to just cover the wart area, placed it on the wart and duct taped it over. Going to bed, vigorously rubbed banana peel on wart, then duct taped wart over ACV'd q-tip (no peel). Waking up, I did banana peel. [SORRY THIS IS BORING BUT IT'S ALMOST OVER]. Evening, I looked at thing, it had shrunk, was red and black. Decided to hit it with ACV. Tested it with my fingernail to see if there was any dead stuff to slough off, and then the thing started bleeding, slowly but non-stop. So for like a half-hour, i q-tipped it with ACV until it stopped bleeding, then duct taped it over another ACV'd cut q-tip for the night. I'd planned to see some friends, but not happening! Next morning (yesterday, actually), I looked at it, knew I'd won. It was black and laying flat just below surface skin level, like a mesa, unlike the protrusive mass it was before. Pressing on it, I felt a soreness, but in the healthy normal skin encasing it, not the wart itself. It was dead. I decided to just slap some duct tape on it without anything for the rest of the day and night. Now it's today, the next day, and I've removed the duct tape, so the area will dry out and hopefully the wart will fall out, no reason why it shouldn't, it's not living after all! heheh :)

Some thoughts: Obviously, i just followed my whims with this treatment, using what i read here as a guide. The banana peel definitely had a less aggressive feel. Don't know if it would have worked on its own. One thing I notice is that the immediately surrounding skin looks great. Really pink, plump and healthy. Maybe there's a facial in it for the girls out there (and boys ;p)

Finally: The site is very cool. Thanks a lot to you people for making it happen. One problem or question: People here really seem to be into "oil-pulling". I'm now in the process of trying it from having visited here. Thing is, i've looked all over the web including on this site to find any rational explanation of how it works, and have just drawn blanks from my perspective. How does it detoxify? HOW? All you see written is that it "pulls" toxins out. Okay, how does "that" work? Or that a doctor from India told some Ukrainian doctors that it works and if they don't believe him, try it for themselves. I understand fasting for detox. Makes perfect sense: Body gets overloaded with toxins, can't process them out of the system, meaning they stay in. Stop food intake, body gets a break to process out the toxins. But "oil-pulling"? Well, i'm trying it, but without a better explanation i'm skeptical it's not just placebo. Would be interested in anyone's thoughts on the subject.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide(full strength) cured my wart on my index finger that has been plaguing me for 3 years. I've tried every suggestion banana peels, apple cider vinegar and duct tape. I just didn't have the patience to stick with these for months. I just bought H2o2 at my local health food store and took a cue tip and held it on the wart for as long as I could stand. It took like 10 minutes(also I've tried a band aid to hold in place). After the 2nd or third application it started falling off. Thanks earth clinic. I've been reading you guys for years.

i discovered coconut oil about 4 yrs ago and was using it for seborhea, and for dry patches of skin. I rubbed it into my cuticles each night, and on day 6, i realized the wart that had been on my finger for a few years was totally GONE! It had to be the oil, because i was not using a wart remover. Also, i have found that coconut oil helps heal my seborhea patches quickly, whereas medicines did not.

Mixing Castor Oil with baking soda, enough to make it like gum, applied directly over the mole or wart will make them go away! Do this every evening with the intent that you are making it go away.

Crushed Garlic Cure for Warts. Some time ago I had two warts appear on my nose. They seemed to increase in size quite quickly. GP tells me to come back in two weeks and she will burn them off. I didn't like the sound of that so tried a remedy that I'd heard about. Take fresh garlic cloves and crush them and apply to the warts. Keep on warts for as long as possible until they disappear. I used crushed garlic from the jar I purchased at the supermark and applied the crushed garlic to the gauze part of a bandaid and wore a fresh one every night for two weeks. Warts disappeared. Probably go in quicker time if I had used fresh garlic and used it in the daytime as well as at night.

My son had a wart on his finger when he was about 3. We tried everything. It would never go away and eventually there was probably about 7 warts that had spread onto his finger. I found on the internet to take a garlic clove and slice a thin piece(s) and put it on the wart with a band-aid over it (it does burn, but it works!). Keep it on there & covered for 24 hours. After that, it should turn into a blister. At that point, the wart is gone. Then just treat the blister with ointment. The warts are gone and have never come back.
