Warts on hands and feet

Found this remedy on your site and tried it on myself and my son. It really worked! Soak a cotton ball with Apple Cider Vinegar; tape or secure it on the wart for as long as you can. We used a tip of a disposable rubber glove to hold onto finger and toe. Did this while reading or watching a movie. Repeat every day for as long as you can until you start to see black spots on the wart. We then used a clean razor to cut away some of the dead skin and then soaked again for a few more days. At this point the wart came up and off on its own. stubborn warts may need to have this repeated. You can even see the "roots" dying off too. Great way to naturally and painlessly remove warts. Thanks for the advice.

Hi,

My mom had had warts on her feet since i was a kid 30 plus years ago! She had surgery in 1989 unsucssessful they came back. They wereren't so bad until they had a bad outbreak in 2004 and progressively got worse till this year. In the last 1 and a half years she couldn't walk and at some points was bed ridden and couldn't work. She saw many different doctors but nothing was helping. She had the Nitrogen spray, but this was temporary effective, and it led to bleeding, and scarring of tissue. The nitrogen started getting expensive at like $200 per session spray per feet and this needed twice a month = $800. Expensive even by USA standards. My mom is in Kenya Africa where that kind of money is expensive.

Needless to say we were helpless and I started Googling around, wikipedia, and all Medical websites. I even asked American doctors and Nurses, as well as read medical books on diseases. And almost every cure they recommended, my mom had tried with no luck.

I stumbled upon 2 treatments . 1)Duct tape and 2)Apple cider Vinegar.

I asked my mom to try it. She did so with the ACV and she would soak a ball of cotton with the vinegar, and tape it to her feet, and change it after some time. She did this for 3 weeks and within that time my dad reported to me that the warts were drying up and peeling off! The warts which had made it unbearable for her to stand were reduced so much to the point that she has now been walking for almost 3 months!
There's a very few ones left but she is continuing with the treatment and in due time! I will ask her to supplement it with the Banana peel method which i see got very good reviews!

VISITORS to this site, Apple Cider Vinegar really works! Good luck everyone and thanks all for sharing!

ps:I am recommending ACV to my brother for his eczema. He has it bad! I will let all know of the results in the eczema section!

I had a wart on my check. I tried the ACV, sesame oil (it burned my face), the potatoe rememdy. I was getting very discouraged and I cut a lemon wedge and held it against the wart for an hour or two everyday and put vitamin E during the rest of the day. I cut open a vitamin E capsule, spread the oil on the wart and on a bandage, and changed it in the morning. It took about 1 week and the wart is almost gone. I am still putting on the vit e. Cover your wart 24/7 until it is gone.

My husband has always had several warts on his feet but refused to have them removed. After wading in the water in Jamaica his warts disappeared after about 2 weeks. They have been gone for 5 years now!

I had warts on my right foot that were spreading over the course of a year. I tried cylic acid and it did not work for me. Then I would cut the warts off and apply the acid directly to the wart. Unforetunately, this only seemed to make it worse. One of the warts was growing the size of a nickel. One day I had the idea of going to the beach (I was living in Florida at the time) and exposing my foot to the sand and salt water. Almost immediately my foot started to feel better. After repeated visits all the warts just disappeared.

A few years ago I got a wart on my ankle that was so large it was wearing away at the back of my shoe, and would get torn up when I went to the gym. I tried everything...liquid nitrogen, OTC wart medicines, duct tape, garlic...nothing worked. I ended up here though, and read about the banana remedy. I rubbed the peel on the spot, and then taped/bandaged a small piece on the wart for a week. It started coming off within two days, and was completely gone in a week. My dad was in town and was VERY skeptical, so it was pretty exciting when it worked! I'm amazed!

The only form of stupidity I'm aware of is ignorance. If you had actually tried for yourself you would realize this isn't as crazy as you make it seem. I'm not injuring my child, nor myself, because the same technique worked for me.

EC: Sorry Corey, that nasty post from "G" should never have been posted on the site. Apologies.

Banana Peel cured a wart on my daughter's toe. The way i applied: Rub a piece of banana on the wart, then cover the wart with piece of banana peel and tie it with the toe using a bandage cloth. Just in 15 days, the wart disappeared.

Tea Tree Oil, DMSO
Posted by Paul (Bloomington, In) on 09/24/2009

I've had planters warts several times in my life. First time I had them I tried having it burnt and cut out by doctors. Strangely not only did this not work it actually increased the size of the wart. I'm not sure how I came up with this method but I have owned two health food stores so I come into quite a bit of misc information from time to time. I heard that tea tree oil helps to eliminate warts so I started to put that on with a cue tip. With the other side I put on DMSO as it has the ability to draw things deep into the skin. After some days the wart whitened and I started the process of scrapping out the dead skin with a sharp knife to get to the live wart below. In less than two weeks the wart was completely gone. I had suffered with this wart for nearly two nears. I started to always wear shower sandals and avoid subsequent infections until about 10 years later when I stopped wearing them for a while and got infected again.

Again I tried the same process of Tea Tree Oil followed by DMSO and periodic scraping and in about two weeks it was gone. It would have taken less time if I added an Indian healing mud called ____which is simply bentonite clay earlier. This wart was a little more stubborn so after the Tree tree and DMSO and scraping I'd apply the mud and leave it on for the night.

I would be very surprised if this did not work for somebody else. The only thing is you have to be diligent. Every day before bed you need to do this process. Yeah its a little pain but it will cost way less than the doctors, and certainly will be less expensive. Most importantly it actually works.

Banana peel for plantar warts

I had a nasty case of plantar warts on my right foot (three of them) and I tried acids, vinegar and duct tape for months before deciding to try banana peels. All I did was cut up a bit of banana peel, put the inside of the banana peel on the wart, tape it on with duct tape, and live my life without thinking about the warts at all. I was rock climbing, surfing, running -- just doing whatever I wanted. I was changing the banana peel bits twice a day, and leaving them on at night. Two days of constant treatment later, the warts turned pitch black and literally just fell off my foot. I continued the banana peel for another 4 or 5 days to ensure all of the HPV virus in my skin would be dealt with soundly, and I'm happy to say that I am now 100% wart free for the first time in about a year!

Definitely go nuts with the banana peel cure AS SOON as you have a plantar wart. It's incredibly effective. The only down side (and this is true for the effective treatment of ALL plantar warts) is that afterwards you have craters where the wart used to be, and you have to regrow all the skin you would have had if not for the infection. So get plenty of neosporin and bandaids to keep your baby skin around the craters clean and protected while they heal.

A top notch cure! So simple, so easy, so much better than acid, burning, freezing or any of that nonsense :)

The same thing happened to me when I treated two small flat warts on my nose and hand. The ACV aggravates them and I think the bandage spreads them in the local area. It works, but then the open sores make it very very easy to spread to other parts as well have a few popping up in other spots despite insane hand washing and disinfecting of towels, tub, shower, etc). I quit the ACV and switched to witch hazel, just applied with a cotton ball and let to dry no bandage). This method isn't nearly as dramatic, but it does slowly decrease the size of the little buggers, without craters or open wounds. I'm still healing from the ACV craters (after a week), and seeing significant decrease in the witch hazel treated ones daily. If you have flat warts, try witch hazel first!!!! I wish I had.

My 3 year old grandson had several warts under his nose. His mom had had some burned off twice before, but could not put him through that again. I found the raw potato remedy on this sight and figured we had nothing to loose but a potato. I cut the potato in half, peeled a little of one edge away so we could make good contact with the warts under his nose. We rubbed the warts ONE TIME, ensuring we got the juice on all of them. He and I then went and buried the potato in the back yard and didn't tell anyone where we buried it. Within a couple days, one at a time, the warts started getting smaller and within three weeks, they were all gone. You couldn't even see where they were. This is truly a miracle cure
and hope everyone tries this. Thank you for your publication!!!

The warts can be very contagious in general. If you have damaged skin it is more susceptible to the HPV virus that causes warts. Perhaps the damaged skin caused by the bandaid's adhesive is becoming infected. I'm not sure how to help sorry...perhaps you could try treating a larger area around the warts to help prevent the spreading.

As a teenager I had five "seed" warts on my right middle finger. They drove me nuts for a about three years until my mother suggested I use castor oil. I would soak small pieces of of a cotton ball in the castor and then place it on the wart held on with surgical tape. After about three weeks of this all of my warts had disolved. There was no scar and the surrounding skin was not effected. I hear that castor oil is also good for longer, thicker eye lashes.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Honestly I had plantar warts for six months or longer. I believe I got the first one from a pedicure. Eventually I had 3. Occasionally I would try the salicylic acid pads - but after a couple boxes -they irritated my feet - killed the healthy surrounding skin - and never seemed to affect the warts. My doctor did not offer much help - she told me freezing it out would be about as effective as the pads.

I was up at a condo in Whistler searching to get information on the internet and came upon your site. I had bananas and the wart pads from the expensive kit. I treated my warts for about 3 days - and GONE!

Did I say thank you? ;-)

Now I am going to this site for any ailments. Toe fungus (vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide soak followed by Tea tree and ) worked fast. Ted's cure for Acid reflux is working great (although because mine is mild I only drink it occasionally) and I am currently trying some natural cures for my husband's tinnitus. I may post feedback on those cures as well

Oddly when I went to find the original cure (banana peel) to add a comment the ACV cure came up but I really had to search for the banana peel. weird - and glad it was easier the day that I was looking for an answer - shouldn't the top answers show first?

Plantar Warts Banana peel treatment:

Back when I was 5 (before my parents even knew about the internet), I had some rotten little warts over my hands. A girl at school pointed them out to me, so I told my parents and they had heard the Banana treatment rumor. I told them "Ew I don't want to do that," so they gave me that option, or to go to the Doctors and endure hours of painful freezing and cutting. Naturally, being 5, I disliked pain and decided to go with the Banana.

I put band-aids over a small slice of banana peel over the warts each day and after a couple of days, all the warts were gone. They turned white and reduced in size.

Proper conduct for best results are:
1. Replace with a new bandaid when needed
2. Do not use the same peel for more than one session.
3. Let it air for maybe an hour or 2 a day

Almost 15 years later, they're still gone, and all thanks to bananas.

You must read this if you are thinking about trying the banana method. I give you my word that this will help your warts no matter how hopeless you feel about your wart. Never give up. Sometimes the simplest answers are the best ones for you.

I had a terrible plantar wart that was so big that it looked like a spider laid an egg in my foot. It was so painful to walk on I felt that I would rather crawl on the floor to get a cup of water rather then facing the pain of walking. It had been growing in my foot for about 3 months and I tried acid pads which only made it worse because the acid would irritate the healthy skin around the wart. It got worse because it started to grow taller and larger.

The only option the doctor told me was to surgically remove it. I booked the appointment only to find out that my appoint for surgery was a month and half away. I had nothing to do but wait for this idea of the doctor cutting me up. I was terrified of having a huge painful hole cut out of my foot so I looked for other options. Since I had nothing but time on my hands to kill I wanted to go on the web to see if there was something else I could consider doing. I found this website and read testimonial after testimonial and felt that I had nothing to lose.

I cut my first banana peel (non frozen)into a circle shape in the exact size of the wart and put a band aid over it with masking tape all around it so it would move at all. I had it on for 24 hours walking around with it and then sleeping with it on.

The next day I saw that the wart had turn white and change in quality like a sponge like surface. It use to be as hard as a rock but it was still painful after day one. I changed banana peels every day...sometimes twice a day so it was always a fresh peel.

One week later using the same procedure for the entire week the wart began to change color and reduce in size height wise. It also became less painful in about half of the area of the wart.

I did let it air out for a few hours to let the wart dry and begin the decomposing process. I don't think it should stay wet or moist all day.

After 2 weeks of this treatment the wart literally began to crumble off. I could see all the dead blood vessels inside the dead skin. I used my finger nail to peel off the dead skin and it all came apart without any pain. I have a small crater in my foot with no pain at all! I seriously had my doubts and felt silly along the way but it only took 2 weeks.

I thank God everyday that I found this website. I never appreciated walking this much before. I no longer feel that I have to have surgery and if you are even thinking about trying this method you should definitely definitely go for it.

All you need is a banana peel, band aid, masking tape, and patience

Good luck and God speed

I have had a plantar wart for about two years on the ball of my foot. It didn't bother me most of the time, but about once a week it would get irritated and I would have to cut the skin over the wart off. I thought it was a callous for the longest time and continued with the treatment until I became annoyed.

My wart was about the size of a nickel on the bottom of my foot (at least that's how big of an area the dead skin appeared). My wart really just looked like a callous of dead skin that wouldn't go away. After I trimmed away the dead skin, I could see little brown/red specks. (I have never seen a deep root that others talk of). Originally I thought that I was cutting too much skin away and didn't think much about it, but decided I had better ask my doctor as I didn't want to take a chance on having it get infected at some point.

I asked my general doctor about it at a routine visit, and she told me that it was a plantar wart and to try over the counter wart remover. I tried it and it did little to remove the stubborn wart. I purchased the freezing kit and tried it with no luck, and also tried the polish stuff that you painted on the wart with no luck.
I went to a foot doctor and she wanted to dig the wart out. I'm not one who is a fan of pain, so I declined to give it more thought and to do some additional research on my options.

I came across this site, and began the ACV treatment. Here is what I did:

1)Cut old skin off using clippers sanitized in alcohol (not sure if I should recommend this due to the possibility of infection, but these are the steps as I followed them)

2)Put regular ACV on cotton ball (I soaked it so it was dripping wet) and applied over the wart

3)Covered ACV cotton ball and wart with duct tape so it was completely covered and unable to leak

4)Kept covered all day and all night (changing at least once a day and sometimes twice if the duct tape was coming off

I did experience some pain %uFFFD so much I couldn't stand it at times. When it became too much for me to walk, I would remove the ACV and just cover the wart with duct tape. I did not let my wart air dry very often. I pretty much kept it covered all of the time.

Eventually I just covered with duct tape all day/all night to ensure the wart was gone. I would add an ACV cotton ball covered in duct tape at night for a few weeks after I thought I had gotten rid of the wart to be sure.

I never did have long carrot like black things come out with the tape. Additionally, my wart didn't turn completely black. There were parts of the wart that would turn a brown color, but certainly the whole area did not turn black and fall off for me. I did experience the duct tape taking layers of old skin along with it when it was removed. It appears the duct tape killed some of the skin around the wart as well. It took a lot of time and patience for this to work for me, but I am happy to say I don't seem to have any problems to date.

This treatment seemed to work for me and I would recommend it to others. If the pain gets to be too much with the ACV - just cover with duct tape. It's very sticky so it stays in place if you are running/sweating and it is waterproof so it keeps the ACV from leaking out.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Just an update:

I moved from Sierra Vista to Tucson.

The wart COMPLETELY disappeared and has NEVER returned.

Also: while using the hydrogen peroxide to remove the wart, there was never any discomfort; the wart simply began and then continued to get smaller and smaller... until it finally disappeared. Unlike what happened with other remedies I'd tried.

Just thought I'd let everyone know the wart has never returned and I finally stopped using the peroxide.

Hello everyone!

Im an athlete, and many athletes like me, have an uphill battle with warts. I tried everything, freezings, burnings, creams, surgery, etc. But nothing worked, they either returned, or spread.

Then i tried Apple Cider Vinegar. Used a cotton swab tip and a bandage. 3 Weeks. Gone. The wart disappeared. The outer edge turned white. Then the inner black. It hurt like hell at night, itched like crazy, and was a bit of a pain to change bandages. But was nothing compared to alot of diseases. So i not saying i had it bad.

But, thank god for apple cider vinegar. Worked perfectly.

Bleach

I had planters warts that covered my entire heel. The surgeon said he would have to remove my entire heel down to the bone in order to remove the painful planters warts. I then went to an old family practice DR. He suggested that I soak my heel in straight chlorine bleach. I soaked my heel in the bleach 3 times a day for about 10 minutes each time. Within about 3 weeks the warts were gone!

EC: Some doctors might question the wisdom of soaking any part of the body in bleach, but soaking the toes in a dilution of bleach and water is a widely recommended remedy for nail fungus.
