I would like to recommend pure slippery elm powder (not slippery elm food which has flour in it) to help with acid reflux. Slippery elm when made up into a milkshake type drink (see tip at end of this for making it up without lumps!) has soothing properties, lines as it goes down, and is also nutritional. My children used to have slippery elm mixed with fruit such as stewed apple or apricots or banana as a cereal when they were bubbies. They loved it. Anyway, re: acid reflux - it will not instantly make it go away but will help soothe some of the symptoms and calm the volcanic eruptions a bit if drunk fairly frequently, especially when one has the symptoms of heartburn or sore throat etc. I think used in conjunction with yoghurt (or even better pre and pro biotic capsules) and the apple cider remedy, as well as of course changes to ways of living, it would be very good. I cannot say it will be as I have not tried the ACV remedy yet - but I intend to!
My husband has ulcerative collitis and drinking slippery elm has really helped him as well as natural anti-inflammatories such as turmeric, taking pre and pro biotics, and taking linseed oil. Has anyone tried ACV for ulcerative collitis btw? Oh before I forget...I said I would give a tip for making up slippery elm without the lumps. This is how my hubby and I do it: Put two heaped teaspoonfuls of slippery elm in a mug. Bring kettle to boil but before pouring into mug, put a covering of cold water over the powder in the mug. DO NOT STIR yet though but stir as you are pouring in the hot water. Leave some room at the top for adding milk (we use soya milk btw as this suits my husband's UC more, but other types of milk are ok if you can drink them).
Sodium Butyrate Enemas
Open up a capsule of 600 mg of sodium butyrate and mix with warm water, add 1 tsp of l glutamine. Use as an enema and retain over night. Twice if possible once in am and once pm. Read up on butyrate, a probiotic for the human gut. Can taken orally at the same time when eating a meal (600 mg). More effective as an enema. Take Activated charcoal when going to bed. Watch diet. Avoid sugar, include fruits that are sweet. Incorporate kimchi, raw fermented food.
I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis 5 years ago during the 2nd trimester of my pregnancy. After the delivery of my son I suffered from extreme constipation alternating with bloody diarrhea. After years of suffering I found a fiber supplement with Psyllium, Hibiscus Flower, Licorice, Fenugreek Seed, Pau D' Arco Bark and Hyssop. To my complete amazement it worked great. It is by far the only fiber that works without cramping my colon or irritating my ulcers.
After years of suffering on and off with inflamed colon, I have finally found something that works. The colonics people don't like to hear this and I'm starting to believe that they are trying to supress this information. We have been told that we should take pro-biotics to help re-establish our friendly bacteria. I find this to be only partially helpful. It seems that there is a way to reestablish the friendly bacteria in the colon and that's by feeding your bacteria with the ideal food and that's Sweet Whey. I didn't find this on Earth Clinic so I decided to post this. I am hoping to find others that have tried this product to hear what I have experienced confirmed.
I first read this several years ago in Acidophilus and Colon Health by David Webster. Sweet Whey cured my inflamed colon. Other positive side-effects are a floating feces and better smelling too.
I will admit that I was skeptical at first trial. I asked my colonics provider about the use of sweet whey I went so far as to loan my book to her. It took me three years to get my book back. I tried and tried to get it back but to no avail. So I stopped taking the sweet whey and my colon problems came back. Finally when I got my book back I started back on the sweet whey. After reading the book more thourughly I realized why she kept it. If it's this easy to cure some colon problems. Why would you need colonics. I know that this is not entirely true because there are other reasons to have colonics.
The ph balance talked about in regard to ACV prompted me to write this because I feel may be as essential as balancing your ph. Restoring your friendly bacteria. I'll be looking for other feedback.

Further to question about sweet whey... Have discovered some info which I am sharing in case others wish to know.
Sweet whey is a product of the cheese making process in which RENNET is used. Junket is made with rennet and after setting, it can be cut with a knife and strained thru muslin, the curds make a simple cottage cheese and the drained liquid is the whey...Now as a child I happily drank the junket whey and it was sweet and refresshing to the taste, so I'll start doing the homemade cottage cheese again and, like Miss Muffet, eat my curds & whey. Thanks to all the wonderful people out there who share their cures for the benefit of all.
I was just reading the package insert on the probiotics my brother was taking. It says that if you stop taking them, their effectiveness diminishes. Made me wonder for a second, why take this if you just keep having to take more gut colonizing bacteria? But I brushed the thought away and have the capsules to my brother who is limp on the couch with a terrible ulcerative colitis flare. It's been a week since he was diagnosed, but he's had symptoms longer than I think we realized. Where did you get sweet whey?
Regarding: 01/13/2012: Ted from Bangkok, Thailand replies: "I have updated the ulcerative colitis remedy to include digestive enzymes, although not necessary, but unripe papaya is necessary or at least bromelain will help.
Is there some way to see the "updated ulcerative colitis remedy"? I'm picking up pieces of it from quesitons and answers, but if it's in one place, updated -- that would help a lot.
Hi, I have had ulcerative colitis for two and a half years and was able to achieve remission for about a year and a half with asacol. However about two weeks ago I came out of remission with small flare ups that have now become larger. I have done a lot of food elimination which helps with the pain, but I am still bleeding badly. I just got my order of Supreme Fulvic and Humic acid Complex. So my question is should I stop using the asacol and just start the Fulvic/Humic acid regimin? Instructions say to take it 30 mins before meds, but I am dosed 3 times per day 12 pills that are time release. I don't want there to be a clash between the two, but I don't want to make my flare up worse if the asacol is somehow helping even if just a small bit. Just need some advice. On a side note I also ordered Renew Life Critical care probiotics that I plan to start as soon as they arrive.
(Pocono's, Pa, Usa)
You are in the same place I am. I'm continuing the asacol while on Ted's remedy and on a prednisone taper as well. I'm in a moderate to severe flare up for 6 months, first time in 8 years when I was diagnosed and I'm a 48 year old athletic male. 8 years with no meds at all until a dentist over prescribed antibiotics for 6 weeks. 1 month later all hell broke loose and here I am because the Dr's have no clue what to do except to pump me with steroids and asacol and it doesnt work.
So, I started doing enemas with supreme humic/fulvic acid mixed with 5ml of aloe vera oil and water three days ago. I'm also taking melatonin as its better than sleeping pills and it can help. My bleeding for the last two months was scaring me although my levels were fine as per emegency room visit do to reaction to a new med az-something. My pancreas failed, nice meds huh.. Anyway, in three days my bleeding went from an 8 out of 10 to a 1 out of 10! DR's want nothing to do with this and just stare at you like a puppy with their head tilted and then tell you about the newest drug. I was scheduled for remecade but I'm trying this first as it makes more sense.
I also started using DMSO yesterday after days of research. Research everything on this site and see what you find as you'll be surprised how clueless the medical field is or maybe just against natural cures. I'll see if the DMSO helps as the only side effect is the smell. It makes your breath smell like Creamed Corn and Garlic, kinda funny though..
Also I've cut out all sugar, iron and calcium as per Ted's Remedy. Steamed veggies, chicken, oatmeal plain etc. Ive lost some body fat so at least that's positive and I've had a lot less trips to the bathroom in the last few days which is a relief. I also drink the humic in the am and also aloe vera juice. The steroids gave me mouth sores but after 4 days of the aloe orally they were gone and that was two weeks ago. I'm forming stool as well now but still running but then aloe can have that effect as well.
Hope this helps.
After planting some vegetable seeds (& eating the leaves which grew) using the following techniques my ulcerative colitis healed up about 70 percent within a couple of weeks.. Feel free to try it :)
Anastasia and the Power of Healing Yourself through Plants
These planting techniques have been scientifically tested. People who were sick or lacking in certain nutrients etc. Grew the seedlings using the method below, & the leaves or fruit off each plant were shown to have produced more of whatever nutrient the person was lacking in. This resulted in healing for a variety of diseases. (The plants cater to different needs of the individuals who grow them). Healthy people also experienced extra benefits from using the techniques.
The weeds should not be disposed of completely, as they have their own appointed function. Some weeds serve to protect the plant from disease while others give supplemental information. During the cultivation time, it is vital to communicate with the plant. And it is desirable to approach it and touch it during a full moon at least once during its growth period. Anastasia maintains that the fruit cultivated from the seed in this manner, and consumed by the individual who cultivated it, is capable not only of curing him of all diseases of the flesh whatsoever, but also of significantly retarding the ageing process, rescuing him from harmful habits, tremendously increasing his mental abilities and giving him a sense of inner peace. The fruit will have the most effective influence when consumed no later than three days after harvesting. The above-mentioned steps should be taken with a variety of plant species (sunflowers & wheat have been recommended to be included) in the garden-plot.
Many people have also reported healing benefits from cedar oil (also mentioned in the Anastasia books).

For Poutou from Brockton, Mass--Our 26 yr old daughter has had UC for 3 years and takes Asacol, but was having light bleeding regularly. At last she's found a program that works for her; I encourage you to try it also. First of all she is a strict vegetarian-no meat, fish or eggs. Animal products putrify in the intestines and build up decaying waste matter even more when digestion is impaired. People with intestinal illnesses (and all of us) need to keep the gut clean in order to heal. Since Cath has had UC, no dairy, spices or salt. Probiotics are a must-- 3 times the amount the label says to take--as all pharmaceutical drugs kill off good bacteria in the intestines. For the last month she's had no bleeding since doing these 3 things religiously every day: 1. Fennel seed tea--wonderful for digestion and reduces inflammation. One person on a website wrote, "Trust me. Fennel seed tea stops bleeding of UC. " Cath has found it to be so. Bleeding stops gradually, over a couple weeks. Pour a cup of boiling water over 1 tsp. Fennel seed (avail. At health food store or order on internet); cover and let steep at least 15 min. Drink 1 or a few cups a day. Our daughter Cath drinks hers in the morning. 2. Chia seed, soaked overnight in water, blended in a fruit smoothie for breakfast. Pour 2 Tbsps. In a cup of water, stir a couple times, cover and soak overnight. It forms a gel; stir again and store in fridge. Cath says if she doesn't have time to make a smoothie, she drinks the chia gel by itself, as she feels it's important for healing inflammation. It's pleasant and goes down easily; blending not necessary. Chia is high in Omega 3 essential fatty acids (EFAs), a high dosage of which, we saw on another site, heals UC. Cath drinks chia gel in evening also, by itself. She uses about 3/4-1 cup chia gel every day. 3. Diatomaceous earth (DE), food grade, a heaping Tbsp. Every night in water. It's wonderful for both diarrhea and constipation, and helps to keep the gut clean. Start with 1 tsp. In a glass of water (keep stirring, as it settles). Increase gradually to 1 heaping Tbsp. In 8 oz. Water a. M. And p. M. Check internet for sources. Good overview on Human Use Benefits and testimonials (including some for UC) at earthworks health.com and other sites. Two weeks of doing those 3 things religiously every day--fennel seed tea, chia gel and DE, along with a strict vegetarian diet, have brought Cath into remission. She's very excited and says she feels wonderful, with Normal bowel movements. She's reduced her Asacol use, as well, and plans to keep cutting back on it gradually. She does have an appt. To consult by phone with a homeopathic doctor in Phoenix, Arizona, whom we found on internet. This doctor told Cath she has 95-100% success rate healing UC, without drugs. Good luck.
Pramol from NYC, it's wonderful you've found aloe vera to help. We advised our daughter to use it a couple years ago, but she seemed to not take enough of it regularly, perhaps because of the taste, to make a difference. Good luck to all.
I have had this fabulous disease for 13 years now. I have been on all the latest and greatest drugs that have been mentioned food elimination diet. I have not eaten meat for 30 plus years have low iron and ferritin. The az-something also referred to as immuran. I take 3.5 of those daily mezavant 4 tabs daily and have the highest dose of stellara which is the newest drug. Not working unfortunately and the best side effect is it's making me loose my hair. I thought remicade was working fairly well but the dose kept increasing and the time between started every 2 months then down every month.Dr says despite every best effort and several medication concoctions I'm at the end of the road and surgery is being suggested a second time. I got a sense when talking to dr that he is still convinced that it is just colitis. It was suggested crowns/colitis. I looked at and said sure why not colitis has caused lupus, arthritis and not celiac but 95% gluten sensitive. I eat very healthy, work out no family history of it. I think that's what I find so frustrating. Trying to stay positive, trying to do what I like doing always knowing where a washroom is of course. I enjoy running but can not and do not eat or drink anything especially coffee until 1 pm and take Imodium fingers crossed that I won't have to hit a bathroom on route.
I know this is long but never vented on any site like this before.
If I had what you are describing and I lived in Richmond, British Columbia I would investigate taking full spectrum Cannabis extracted CBD oils which normalize the body's functional system. CBD (Cannabidiol) Reduces Inflammation and Autoimmunity.
I think digestive issues and skin issues can be common among vegetarians, especially if they have been vegetarian a long time. There is a lot of talk these days about using bone broth to heal the gut. I don't know the reason you are a vegetarian, but if consuming bone broth were an option, you might consider it.
Gelatin and collagen and such seem to be what is needed for gut health.
If no on the bone broth, have you tried slippery elm?
May I suggest a non-toxic, no side effects (except possible sleep disturbances for a week or so), inexpensive, FDA approved at 50 mg/day but used at low doses of 1.5-4.5 mg/day drug to help with your UC? It is LDN or low dose naltrexone. Here is an article on it that may interest you:
The official site is www.ldninfo.org
At the top of this site is a reference to a Yahoo LDN Group with over 13,000 people who use LDN for a variety of diseases. You can join and ask any questions you may have. They are very willing to share experiences and answer your questions. It is often used in conjunction with a gluten and sugar-free diet for UC or Crohn's, but not always. At about $45/month for compounded LDN capsules, or even less if you get it elsewhere, it may really be something worth trying to improve your health and give you some relief.
Kay, I had horrible bouts of this for years. I had surgery to remove most of my lower intestine.
Tried everything. Really could not leave my house. I finally found relief. It was in Teds remedies here on E.C.
DHEA and Melatonin. The high dose DHEA and Melatonin reset everything. I had been so exhausted from it all. A real miracle.
50mg DHEA in the am 5mg Melatonin at bedtime. I was better the first day. Normal by the second. This is based on 130lb person for the Dhea. I think the melatonin is fine at 5 mg, my husband is much larger than I and we only upped his DHEA.
I stayed on it for 5 days. I honestly thought it was some fluke, for $15 and a little faith the horrible could be overcome.
I now take DHEA 2 or 3 x a month and melatonin a few days a week. Janet
What does a person do for treating both diverticulitis and ulcerative colitis??? At the same time. any help with details of remedies and details would be appreciated. I have read several things on here but don't know what to do first or if I can treat both at the same time. please help...please help suffering. Thank you in advance.
I have had what I feel sure is ulcerative colitis for quite a few years now and because I didn't want to used prescription drugs I tried Turmeric. It took 5 weeks before it began to kick in and the relief I felt from not having to lie awake at night with the pain was wonderful! If you want to try this you could probably use something for the pain until it kicks in for you?
I use the bulk organic turmeric from iherb and fill double 00 capsules, I found this as good if not better than the extract tablets and a lot cheaper too. [Do use disposable gloves whilst filling the capsules or you'll end up with yellow fingers! ]'
I take two of these capsules with every meal and have found this suits me. A few times I tried to cut down the doses but the symptoms started to re-appear, so I've pretty much kept to the same dosage for years now, with NO side effects.
I hope that other people with the same awful problem will find this useful.
Best wishes, Angela.
Turmeric has put my Ulcerative Colitis in remission. I take six 450mg capsules in the am and six at pm till all symptons are gone then I just take one in am and 1 in pm I have severe ulcerative colitis and turmeric has been awesome. If it flares up I start back on the six and six been doing this for 2 years and it has been a blessing to be in remission.

You are taking alot of turmeric which you dont need to. Instead buy the curcumin, which is 500x stronger than the turmeric. Curcimin is the actual root extract. its stronger. My daughter is taking it now for her ulcerative colitis.
Turmeric, Cumin, Aloe Vera
After all the foods and the drinks I had with the family during the christmas period really put me in danger at the start of the new year. I was bleeding from my stomach for few days. whatever I eat the problem is still there. I even felt dizzy one morning and that lasted couple days. Probably because of the blood lost. I was about to call an emergency. On the morning instead of having my usual coffee I decided to go some kind of natural remedies. A mug of hot milk with one teaspoon of turmeric powder and one teaspoon of Cumin diluted and drunk it at once. My lunch was just plain boiled rice another cup of hot milk in the afternoon with the same mixture. I also had Aloe vera drink in between. In the morning when I went to the toilet I haven't had a single drop of blood and my stool was normal. The time I went for a Doctor appointment after few days he said everything is fine. But I will be going for internal gastro check (whatever is called). I hope you guys will find the same benefits from theses remedies.
In reply to healing Ur digestive system - I was also diagnosed with colitis & have found the following really helps me:

Regimen above has helped me tremendously!!! Hope it helps u or someone!! Have blessed day!
Ulcerative Colitis Remedies
Dear all, thanks for this wonderful site. I am sure it is helping tons of people with difficulties out there.
I would like to talk about my problem with Ulcerative Colitis and ask about recommendations.
I am 31 years old, diagnosed with ulcerative colitis since 2005 while I was working and living in Nigeria. (left sided, proctitise, chron's colitis, etc as it keeps on changing per medical doctors). Bloody diarrhea, weight loss and fatigue were all common. At the beginning of the disease it was getting controlled with steroids. Now after some years, flareups are frequent, and not controllable with steroids. I lost my weight from 70 kgs ( I'm 173 cm) and being athletic, to 50 kgs now and skinny, since I am sick all the time. The disease is effecting my joints too. I was hospitalized 2 times last year because of movement restrictions in my joints and heavy bleeding. That's the story in a nutshell.
I would like to know where to start. There's alot of information everywhere, but for sure the cure is not with medical doctors. It's just here, natural healing. So please can you advice how should I start healing my intestines?
1st you are mentioning, colitis is caused by mycobacterium. So I have to kill these in the first step, then the second step is healing the intestines and the 3rd step always supply building blocks for these healing so I do not get into flarups again. That's of course by avoiding alot of bad foods (which I do not eat actually). So please can you supply a personalized supplementation plan since you say everyone is different? I want to heal my intestines, get my health back and get back my body.
Are foods like gluten, lactose, eggs, seeds and nuts very bad and causing autoimmune reactions?
Moreover, how can someone visit Ted in Thailand? Is that possible?
Regards and thanks in advance.
Please feel free to contact me by email as well. This goes to anyone on this website. We are here to help each other, and together we are stronger.
Berj, Look into low dose naltrexone at www.ldninfo.org. There are published studies about it's use, with a 67% effective rate for Crohn's and UC. It is FDA approved at 50 mg for addictions, but was found to be very helpful at low doses of 1.5 - 4.5mg for many autoimmune diseases with no side effects except vivid dreams for a week or so in some individuals. Also, although this is difficult to think about at first, there is a woman on this site whose husband had terrible bowel issues and she finally tried a fecal transplant using herself as a donor on the weekend, and he is now completely cured! I have read that this is 100% effective for those with C-diff, too, the theory is that the lack of correct micro organisms in the intestine is causing the problem. Two possible remedies to think about. Good luck, and I hope you feel better soon.
(Hope, Bc, Canada)
Berj, if it was me, I would visit Jim Humble's website as he has a lot of experience with diseases in Africa. He has healed many of malaria and his remedy is MMS. There is help on that site.
I would heal the gut with turmeric, two teaspoons in simple whey powder and water, which also addresses the liver. Ayurvedic Amala powder which is the best vit C can also be taken to body tolerance. Hope you will embark on your tour to good health soon. Best wishes, Om

Berj: It is very common to hear of digestive illnesses occurring following a short or lengthy stay in unsanitary environments and conditions like is common in Africa. There are numerous parasites and pathogens that one could be infected with.
Begin treatments of herbal remedies found here on E.C. for both parasites and pathogens. Some herbs are effective in removing both p & p. Garlic, Oregano, Grapefruitseed extracts are good universal antiparisite/pathogen herbs.
Thanks guys for the suggestions.
LDN treatment sounds promising. I will definitely pursue it and try to see how can I get that here in Germany.
As for the fecal transplant, I am also considering it and studying it. The cost is an issue unless I have to do it myself without testing the donor and so on. Otherwise its an expensive treatment given that only some special centers in the world do it. (One in Australia and some others in the States).
Coming to MMS, I never heard about it, and is also very interesting. I also may give it a try.
As for turmeric (curcumin), in the last month, I was adding curcumin on virtually everything I ate. I experienced no healing effect. Maybe I was not taking enough. I don't know. I may try your suggestion to take it with water, without the whey. Will still that work?
Thanks again for your suggestions. Looking forward for more suggestions regarding my case and I look forward to help others to find a cure for their colitis problem.
Berj: Overall I still think MMS is the route to take. For turmeric visit:http--www.bioponic.com-pdfs-TurmericAyurveda.pdf.
I love to read it as there is such a vast range of action by this sacred herb. Here you will find a section on your needs. Turmeric works to the chakra level and as is also with Chinese medicine, you may first feel effects on your subtle plane. Killing pathogens with superoxygenation is done by MMS, a very powerful remedy.
Hulda Clark's remedies for parasites work very well as per my own experience years ago. However your condition seems to require a broader spectrum remedy. Chemical medicine can complicate matters, not to mention side effects, etc. Hope this helps. Om
Guys, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis while I was in Africa 8 years ago. Every now and then, and the latest was last month, I go and lie to the medical doctors and say I need a test for bacteria, parasites and any pathogen, and all are coming negative. So I don't know really if I have to believe the results tat I do not have any bacteria or parasite or not...
I do still believe though that it was caused by an infections in that not so clean environment, while I was very clean before living there, eating only home cooked meals, exercising regularla and being very athletic. Since then I have lost all my health and body. But I also guess my diet helped getting me colitis by that time. I was heavy on eggs (more than 5 a day, sometimes I ate 10), milk of around one liter per day and also cheeses (usually white). What do you think? I know that stool and blood test can have mistakes, but can they have the same mistake over and over again? I did 3 tests already this year and 3 times any parasite or bacteria came negative.
Unusual Remedies for UC
This will sound crazy, but here it is. I had suffered for a number of years from ulcerative colitis, and my symptoms were growing worse. I recently started smoking cigarettes again, after quitting for 14 years. My ulcerative colitis has gone away.
I just read this on a site about UC; it's true b/c of some sort of harmful chemical that the cigarettes inhibit in your colon. But it's not the best way due to the even greater harm in smoking. I have been dealing with mine by using turmeric, coconut oil and aloe vera juice. Aloe vera is really good and turmeric stops the diarrhea. Coconut oil is a great lubricant also. Search the earth clinic site for lots of remedies.
Vitamin C Ascorbate
Vitamin C Ascorbate for Ulcerative Colitis:
My brother in-law (40 yrs old) has UC & as a truck driver has to carry an extra set of clothes for when he is unable to make it to the bathroom in time. I have the opposite problem & have issues going & can only stay regular by taking Magnesium every morning on an empty stomach. That is until I learned about Vitamin C ascorbate acid form (Not ascorbic acid) of C.
Ascorbate Vitamin C is made from Calcium & will not cause bloating, gas or upset stomach when taken on an empty stomach within an hour or so of eating. Nothing has helped myself or my brother in-law more than Ester C formula found in any vitamin shop. I stumbled across this through a site that talked about gutsense explaining ALL the benefits of Vitamin C made from minerals. Not sure if they talk about arthritis, but is absolutely instrumental in reducing inflammation in those suffering from it. I recommend beginning w/1,000 mg of Ester C & working your way up from there to a level that works for you.
Note: I also have IC Interstitial Cystitis (thinning of the bladder lining) & Vitamin C (ascorbic acid form) always made my symptoms worse & caused terrible pain. All IC sites recommended staying away from Vitamin C. The Vitamin C (ascorbate from Calcium) has never caused pain or an IC flare up & has made my symptoms associated with IC better overall.
Vitamin E Enema
I was diagnosed with UC about 8 months ago and was on corticosteroids and salofalk. After coming off of corticosteroids, my symptoms returned though a bit milder(diarrhea and some bleeding). For some time I played with my diet but it did not seem to have a great effect. I would eat only rice and boiled chicken with no fruits or vegetables but it would only work the first day. Then I came across a post regarding Vitamin E enema. It said use 2 capsules and increase to 10. It also advised not to eat white flour, rice, milk, sweets and fruits but it lots of vegetables. So I started the enema and on the third day all my symptoms disappeared. It has been three weeks now and I have almost forgotten I have UC. The enema gives me a bit of gas but that's about it.
I actually have fruits too like banana, avocado and mango. I have stuck to the 10 capsules a day and I also take 1 orally, vitamin D (2 capsules) together with Calcium and magnesium (1 capsule), Selenium and L-glutamin. However I started those extra supplements one week after I started the enema so Vitamin E has done the miracle and the others I'm taking to help make the healing process faster.
The therapy must be for no less than 3 months. I will keep you posted after 3 months when I stop but I would do it my whole life if I had to given that I would be symptom free and enjoy my fruits and vegetables!!

I suffer from ulcer colitis and this is the cure but you have to use it every now and then, just add anti inflammatory also like fish oil or bee probolis or acai berry etc, glutamine will cause alot of side effects so I advise to avoid it because if you discontinue a flare up will be worse than before. I puncture one vitamin e capsule and use it once or twice a day and take bee probolis, almost feeling normal. Do it guaranteed

Hi Mark! Sorry just saw your question. You can't buy vitamin E enema on its own. You just need to buy the oil capsules and a small enema tube and make it yourself. you can add some distilled water to make sure it goes further up. But this should be approximately half a small coffee cup altogether so it stays inside. Total of about 4000-5000 IU. I would also recommend taking probiotics or Kefir if you can tolerate it as well as at least a teaspoon of L-glutamine. I also take a turmeric supplement and selenium. I know it sounds a lot perhaps but better than taking drugs which is the one thing I am trying to avoid. And of course watch your diet. Take out anything that makes your symptoms worse.
I have used a Fleet enema container filled w/ vegetable oil infused w/ Vit-A and Vit-E w/ good results. One little squirt on a daily basis will do. Most times the oil will remain inside the rectum/colon but sometimes it will expel as in the case of passing gas. A prior-to-retiring administration may be best and place a protective cloth or old towel underneath, just-in-case.
I started using my "zinc enema". It really helps with UC sometimes. This zinc enema consists of: 1 tsp of zinc gluconate powder, 1 tsp of slippery elm powder, 1 tsp of marshmallow root powder, 1/2 tsp of comfrey root powder mix well in about 3 to 4 ounces of hot water in a glass cup.
I wait until the mixture is luke warm, (or I can use half the amount of hot water then add remaining in cold water after mixing it) pour into an enema container. I use the Ready-to-Use Saline Laxative Enema bottle found in most grocery stores pharmacy area for this zinc mixture enema. I pour out the saline solution contained within these bottles and rinsed the bottle out for my zinc enema. I tried to use this saline solution on a active flared up colitis condition a couple of times, it burned like hell and caused colon spasms. Now I just dump the saline out to use this bottle. I reuse this bottle by rinsing it out each time. (There is a round paper cover on the inside top. I remove that so it doesn't restrict flow.)
I do this zinc enema before bed after I evacuated most of the bowels and attempt to retain this over night. Often, more fecal matter will get excreted in the process. I just make more of the mixture until I'm able to retain it. A bit of Preparation H at the tip helps lubricate the process. I also keep a paper clip on hand to undo the tip should the enema bottle gets plugged up by the herbal content. I sometimes use a strainer to help prevent that as well.
To insert the enema, I lay on a towel or a disposable pad and on my left side.
Note: I learned it is recommended that one takes some copper mineral with zinc. I buy mine in capsules and take it orally.
L: I have done a few Zinc enemas in my time with good results.
My thoughts, I would take those herbs by mouth as they may interfere with the Zinc directly, but do try them oral or anal and compare the results. These herbs may only be little necessary if one has proper Vit-A levels. I have many times overdone and experienced toxicity w/ Vit-A which is one reason I tried the Zinc enemas, the other reason is the Ulcerative Colitis. Anyway, the Zinc enema literally pulled most of the excess Vit-A out of my Liver and into my Colon where I experienced big & lasting healing.
Guess I have been reluctant reporting this cure until your post, so I don't seem so strange.
