Borax and White Vinegar

Psoriasis:

Easy cure. Apple cider vinegar is great but it is just not strong enough to kill various yeasts (Malazessia spp. [check it out on Google. What you need to do is dissolve 3 teaspoons of borax in half a cup of white vinegar. Pour this over your head (the yeasts begin their life-cycle here), and down onto your face and shoulders (and possibly your chest), and then leave it on for about 20/30 Min's whilst having a bath. Do this for about 3 days running (... If you can), and about once a week for a month. After the vinegar treatment, rinse your head/hair with half a cup of washing soda in a mug of warm water. At the slightest sign of any trouble repeat the treatment. Don't go anywhere near Doctors. Most are just crap at what they do.

I have had Psoriasis for years. It is at it's most painful in winter, I think this is due to my working in the arctic. My knees and elbos crack and bleed, the small knuckel on my right hand and the outside wrist bone on my left hand are red and painful. I started using ACV as a tonic after my bath, I also rub it on my knees and elbos, any spot that has dry skin or is rough and painful. I mix baking soda with olive oil and use like a soap prior to bathing, I gently apply to my face, hands, elbow and knee. I try to not shower but to have a bath, I add a few drops of olive oil to the water and soak for a few minutes. I noticed results the first time I tried this combination, after a week the pain and redness was gone. I also drink ACV in the morning, I just take a good slug and chase it with water

My Psoriasis started 8 years ago after working a highly stressfull job (where I also got many other stress related ailments as well). The Psoriasis started on my scalp then a few years later migrated to my forhead and then to my cheeks near my nose and finally to the sides of my face near the hairline. Everytime I'd go through major stress, the Psoriasis would spread. It has been a really bad case to where I won't go out in public and can't cook because my skin is constantly flaking and literally falling off. I tried medicated shampoos which hurt, dried out my face and left me a flaky mess from then on. It's like dandruff on your face!

I came across this site and decided to try ACV and it has worked to keep my scalp and face clear.

What I do:
If I'm having a flare up and I'm all flaky, red and uncomfortable:
1) Cleanse my face. 2) Pour some ACV on a cotton ball. 3) Stand in front of a fan and swipe the affected areas with the ACV reapeatedly (the fan is because the ACV stings a lot when the skin is raw from the condition). 4) Apply thick moisterizer or vaseline (vaseline works best for me) over the affected areas. I repeat this for 4-6 nights in a row and apply moisturizer during the day. You can tell it's working as your skin clears up the ACV no longer stings.

To maintain the flare-ups from starting again, I follow the above steps at least once to twice a week even if the skin is clear but use regular moisturizer instead of vaseline. The ACV does not sting at all at that point.

If I forget to use the follow-up ACV, my skin will start to feel tight and dry. At that point I follow all the steps and am fine just doing it for 2 days.

Added Skin Benefits:
Clean pores, rosey complextion, evened skin tone and no scars from the Psoriasis anymore after flare ups.

I've also used internally for allergies recently, which I will post about in that section.

I've been suffering from a red and scaly scalp, tried all the shampoo's. Lately the scale has gotten so bad my scalp was completely white with scale under the hair. So I tried Aloe Vera Gel, completely soaking my hair and scalp twice each evening and the scaling is completely gone now which is just the third night, still using the "blue" shampoo in the mornings just encase so I don't get any snow on my black uniform. The redness is still easy to see but I'm hoping over time this too will ease up, but I wanted to let anyone else out there know that the Aloe does help alot.

Dish soap eliminates itching right away, too. It's a natural brand common at grocery stores. The unscented is what I use most but the lavender works, too. It relieves itching and heals the sores when used every other day. I have very long hair and the soap has not damaged it.

Another big name dish soap does not work nearly as well.

I started taking selenium and flush-type niacin and getting more protein and my scalp is feeling better. To accentuate the flush (which feels so good as it creeps up the back of your neck and across the top of your head! ) chew the niacin and swallow it with some water and then chew on a 1 inch piece of fresh ginger. Do it on an empty stomach. I get up early in the morning and do it and then go back to bed and let it do its thing. I also take 3 drops Lugol's 5% and magnesium with it. There is a store brand that is marketed as a chelated magnesium that helps with sleep and bone health. It knocks me out and has a pleasant relaxing effect for a few hours after I finally get up.

If you wear hats, headbands, or ponytails that trap heat and moisture they may be causing the condition. Just washing them after each use may resolve the condition.

Virgin coconut oil scalp massage feels amazing, too. ☕

I decided to try Coconut Oil to see if it would help me lose some weight. It never, but I had another interesting side benefit. It has almost completely healed up my severe case of Psoriasis. It has at least taken it to the point that I can pay little to no attention to this ailment that has dogged me for almost 40 years now, since I was 7. I started off with two tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil, one in morning one late afternoon. After the short break that proved it was the coconut oil having an affect on my skin, I started using coconut oil capsules 1000mg twice a day, but had to up the dose to 2 1000mg twice a day. I have not experienced any flare ups yet and it has been more than a few months almost completely (old scars starting to fade)clear now.

I've had Psoriasis for over two years compounded by other health stuff. Itching really bad and noticed like others that eating sugar made it worse at night. So started cutting the sugar- and then began dipping my foot in urine (an old skin repair/ healing remedy) and then ACV topically or coconut oil, my foot has gone back to normal not a belt of thick angry skin...I'm realising I need to clear candida and do probiotics to sort my other health problems out but it's great to have results on one level. I really appreciate this website and the community.

Borax

I read about Borax years ago and recently came across "Forbidden Health" by German biophysicist, Andreas Kalcker where I read about many wonderful forgotten therapies including Borax. It mentioned many of the things mentioned in this video. Here's mind blowing my testimonial: I have been suffering from psoriasis gone wild on my left inner ankle which I scratched into an infection that spread to my whole foot.

The burning itch was unbearable and my foot was swollen to the point it couldn't fit in my soft slip-on sandal plus it weeped plasma continually, so I had to wrap it. I went to a NATUREPATH CLINIC and got VIT C and H202 IV (Hydrogen peroxide) several days plus $300 worth of supplements for a detox cleanse.

Nothing worked my foot was still swollen and itchy 😕...then upon waking, I started getting shooting pain and couldn't stand or walk for several minutes till veins expanded to receive blood flow. That night my foot tingled, I panicked, I read folks lost limbs when circulation is cut off to a limb. In middle of the night I got up and took tummeric and an aspirn. They helped with swelling and itching but in the morning I spit out blood from gums and I had blood blisters plus a large bruise on my arm.

What the heck‼️😟 Then I remembered that tummeric and aspirin are blood thinners and some of the supplements I was taking from the Natural clinic had curcumin in it which is also in tummeric so I had to stop the tummeric and aspirin.

I was out of options so the next morning I went running to Urgent Care and was given an antibiotic and a dreaded steroid (the reason I went to a natural clinic in the first place, to avoid steroids).

Well, the conventional doctor (a girl my daughter's age) assured me it was a low dossage for only 5 days to reduce swelling and prevent circulation issues), so, l I took the antibiotics and steroids as prescribed 😒 and my foot was almost back to normal ☺️.

But after the meds ran out, my foot swoll up again and the burning itching returned. 😟 Now what?

Was I going to become dependent on antibiotics and steroids?! I had previously joined a natural health chat line on WhatsApp where someone posted the PDF of the book, "FORBIDDEN HEALTH" that's when I read Borax is a one of the many minerals in SEA WATER💧and how it use to be a natural occurring mineral found in rich soil where apples and other produce would have as much as 20mg and diseases caused by high acidity like arthritis, psoriasis, diabetes, etc., where RARE.

I was unsure of the amount I should take, (now I'll take the amount recommended here) so, I took an aspirin size pinch of Borax with a glass of water and within an hour the burning itching stopped and my foot seemed less bloated and dry.

I repeated it later in day when I felt the itching come back. The next day my foot was 2 sizes smaller 😲.

I took it twice again, and I was blown away! Within 2 days the Borax had reduced the inflammation, stopped the unbearable burning itching, and stopped the weeping. Now, 4 days later my foot is the same size as my healthy foot, and no longer weeping 😀...it's still healing of course.

Per labs at the clinic my thyroid is out of wack and I have candida. So, I will continue taking Borax as recommended here to clean my gut and continue healing my foot now normal in size except for a bit of red patches still in healing process, I'm delighted ❣️🤗

Coconut Oil, Hot Water

My psoriasis came on 3 years ago - with a vengeance! I did not know what it was, and doctors were clueless (and predictably incurious). It burned, stung, and oozed. The itching nearly drove me insane (or perhaps it succeeded - not sure - haha). The ONLY thing that calmed the burning was coconut oil (extra virgin organic) but was not 100% effective. It sure helped, though.

For the itching, I discovered by accident that running the area under VERY hot water - almost scalding - was incredibly effective and the relief lasted for several hours (AH! Sweet sleep! ) but I had logistics problems because I could only access the bathtub faucet which prevented a lot of areas from getting this relief. You'll need to be right at the controls, as your skin will tell you "hotter" or "cooler" as needed, and it will vary by the moment. Pat dry w/ paper towel & don't apply anything to the skin.

There are a few theories why the hot water works, one of which is that it forces the release of histamines out through the skin. But as far as I know, no one really knows why. It just does.

I have a friend who had psoriasis really bad. It covered her whole body, her head too! I told her to take food grade (35%) hydrogen peroxide drops in a glass of distilled water as follows,

1. Take for 30 days.

2. Start with 1 drop day one, day 2, 2 drops, day 3, 3 drops continue to 21 drops if anytime you feel nausea back off a drop for a day and continue, take no more than 21 drops until the 30 days are up.

That was almost a year ago and her skin is clear and healthy! Hasn't had a outbreak since!

I've been reading a lot about hydrogen peroxide, is it safe to use in treating hep c?

Oil Pulling

I have had psoriasis for over 5 years now. I did a lot of reading, including this site, so I started out removing nightshades, and eating low fat. Sort of helped. I tried taking ACV everyday, but it somehow doesn't do well with my stomach. (Leaky gut problems) I also realized I have problems with Candida, and I have changed my diet to help fight that as well as take supplements. I increased my intake of Vit. D, along with eating more alkaline. I also started adding Tumeric with pepperine. All of these things helped, but never completely took it away until I started oil pulling. Huge difference!

While fighting with the psoriasis, it moved around from my shins to my arms and more recently it's just been on my right hand. I couldn't get rid of the one patch, until I started oil pulling. I knew cleansing was a part of the problem, but this has been really great! I have been using organic coconut oil. I don't like the sesame as much because of the taste, but I might switch it around for change.

How I do the oil pulling is use about 1 T first thing in the morning before I drink or eat anything, and swish it around in my mouth while I get up and get started for the day. One thing I found is important is not to swallow while swishing. I find I want to clear my throat, but I let the crud mix in with the oil. Then I spit it out in the toilet, and rinse my mouth out and spit it out as well. I OP for about 15 - 20 mins.

A friend of mine ask me about how to cure psoriases in her toe nails. Her doctor said it was not of fungal origin. I did some research and find that Iodine 3% cam be used in the area. She did it and in a months + or - it was gone. I believe psoriases is not fungal in origin but related to toxins in the body.

Dietary Changes
Posted by Michael (New Zealand) on 12/12/2017

Hello Becky,

I don't know about the Candida problem specifically, but I DO know from personal experience, that I made great progress with my digestive issues once I commenced taking HCL tablets under the instruction of my local Naturopath.

Older people loose some of their stomach acid unfortunately. They tend to lose some important other stuff also but you get the message!

I decided later on that I would change to taking ACV during my main evening meal only and this seemed to work just as well ( and was much less expensive! ).

I drink it through a straw and rinse carefully afterwards and clean teeth a half hour later.

You could mix it with Bicarbonate of Soda if you are worried about your enamel OR take the tablets.

I got rid of the intestinal gas that was bothering me and I think that I am digesting my food better (and getting the nutrients out of it) especially mince, chicken and some carbohydrates! Older people need some protein in their diets.

I got rapid relief by doing the above and only take the recommended dosage as outlined on this Site. In fact, I usually only take a couple of tea-spoons of it at a time in a big glass of water either during a meal OR within thirty minutes of finishing the meal (important).

I don't care to take it on an empty stomach.

I hope this helps you some.

Cheers,

Michael

I read the comments about itching with psoriasis, especially the burning! That is for me the very worst. I learned that when the burning and itching is making me crazy I treat the area with apple cider vineger solution. The burn and itch goes away quicky! I also use soverign silver drops and they help me a lot. The itch and the burn are mostly gone now and my skin is healing and feeling much better. I use a vinegar rinse after I shampoo. I let it sit for 2 or 3 min and then I rinse and use an organic conditioner. I hope this helps you as much as its helped me.

Anti-Candida Protocol
Posted by Bill (Sanfernando, Philippines) on 06/27/2014

Hi Dianne...It's good that you've cut out dairy, wheat and gluten in your son's diet but take particular note about eradicating sugars, junk food and processed food from his diet as well. Candida and other pathogens feed off excess sugars and carbohydrates in the diet. Eliminitaing red meat is also beneficial against candida because candida virulence increases with too much heme iron in the diet.

I also wanted to mention some other things that might also help your son.

I've recently read some interesting research concerning the benefits of supplementing Gymnema sylvestre versus candida. The research report is shown here. The researchers at Kansas State University have found that Gymnema sylvestre works against candida in several ways. First it makes sugar unavailable to candida. The other fact is that Gymnema sylvestre blocks candida's transition into the more virulent and dangerous hyphal form. It therefore acts to reduce the virulence of candida in this respect. It must be said that Gymnema sylvestre will not kill the candida but it will certainly reduce the spread and morphing of candida into its more virulent form.

Gymnema sylvestre(GS) is commonly just taken as a tea and should be taken three or four times a day because it is such a safe non-toxic natural product. I would also further advise that GS should be taken combined together with Green Tea for the most benefit. The green tea will also help to kill the candida(due to the tannin content) and it will also help to remove heavy metals as well. The GS will meanwhile act to reduce the virulence of the candida as well as help to starve the candida of its favourite food -- sugar.

GS is fairy well-known and easily bought at health stores and on the internet -- always buy the organic form. The powder form or the tea form are the best ways to take it. I would simply combine the Green Tea and GS whenever you drink the tea form which is the best way to supplement these natural products.

Another good protocol which might particularly help your son's psoriasis is using Bentionite clay topically. Create a wet paste of bentonite clay and gently spread a thin layer over his areas of psoriasis. Let the bentonite dry completely to a dusty crust. This allows the bentonite to suck out heavy metals and poisons from these psoriatic skin regions and will also help to kill any fungus or any other pathogens topically. Then shower or wash off the bentonite and apply aloe vera oil to help relieve any dryness in these skin areas.

Alkaline Diet
Posted by Dave (Fountain Inn, Sc) on 06/14/2014

Hey there Bradshad,

From RI...

Re the terrible itching problem.

Here's a guess for you Bradshad; I'm thinking that given your successful adherence to the alkalizing diet and the problem still persists, maybe the issue is not acidic/alkalizing only.

Here are some (I'm brain storming now)...here are some possibilities;

1. You have a viral infection...specialty virus effecting an organ in the system that can produce such skin surface outcomes. So as a presumption that such is a possibility I'd be on colloidal silver for a month to test such a possibility. Three tablespoons twice daily on empty stomach.

2. You've been poisoned. I don't mean poison as in someone trying to kill you, but too much of some toxic substance or an allergic reaction to something. (google "70 causes to skin itching" and you'll find pictures plus conditions that could give you a clue. (You're not an outdoors guy are you?...Lyme possibilities? Spider bites?) I thinking SOMETHING else is going on with you. Think back to when this condition started...really the first onset...then go back six months or a year...did anything happen that might be a clue to what is happening BEFORE onset of your symptoms.)

3. You have a serious food sensitivity...normal ones are wheat/potatoes/beans...that would be a typical "carb" metabolism problem. I had to go to a changed died (at my rather advanced age...bummer! ) Try getting off those and by all means go to a Live Cell Microscopy expert and get your blood tested. Most of them do a food tolerance test. I have a great one in SC I go to. If your carbs are not absorbing then alkalizing can help but your system is STILL exploding. I went through this. Skin irritation...the works until the food sensitivity was dealt with. I'm also now on mega enzymes with EACH meal. The result was nearly immediate.

4. Now, as to what to do right now, try the following...On parts of your body experiment with:

...a solution of Borax and water. Take one tablespoon in a cup of warm water and dissolve the Borax (as in 20 Mule Team Borax)...I just wrote a post on EC on how I shampoo my hair with that solution...it even drips down into my eyes without harm or stinging. I let it get into ears and rub eye brows with it. Very soothing. I do that once or twice a week.

...also consider topical aloe vera GEL. I know you mentioned you'd tried it but I mention the gel as it seems to really work well; better than the liquid for (burning) issues.

....I presume you do not have a stomach ulcer. If you do, that could be contributing to the problem.

....Try this on a bit of your skin ...take a teaspoon of baking soda in water and make a paste out of it...apply to worst area of outbreak. Leave the "cake" on for twenty minutes. If improved, expand the area of application.

I have a few other ideas but don't want to overwhelm you. Please write back and tell us about what might have preceded your condition. And if any of the topical helps gave you any success in relief.

Don't over look the real possibility of infection/food sensitivity etc. Colloidal Silver can work wonders if your situation is an infection. But you must stick to the protocol. Also make sure your sinuses are clear. A long lasting sinus infection can indicate you have a standing systemic infection, complicating your alkalizing attempts.

I get inverse psoriasis under my breasts and the ONLY thing that will get rid of it/stop the burning is a mixture of extra virgin coconut oil and turmeric. I just make a paste and apply topically. IT IS MESSY! Be sure to cover exposed areas. This topical ointment will usually get rid of the raw areas within a few days...every time. I hope this helps!

Oh, and for itching, if you have the plant called autumn joy (sedum) in your yard--go out and break a couple of leaves off and rub them into the lesions. This works for mosquito bites too.

Before doing a liver cleanse it is highly recommended that you do a thorough colon cleanse. If not then when you do the liver cleanse it backwashes into the colon and then this re-pollutes the liver and then the cycle repeats.

Baking Soda
Posted by Amazedshunt (Denver, Co) on 09/20/2013

It appears to me that a lot of the responses on this site and what people try all have to do with pH levels in some way. The comment under Baking Soda made things click for me. I went and looked up an alkaline food chart and it seems everything people try is with foods of ingredients from this chart. The question I have is whether or not anyone has figured out if there is a certain pH level of your body, or something of that nature that sparks psoriasis or not? Is there a range to be in and is there a way to test your own pH level? Maybe it is a different level for everyone based off of all of the comments and reponses. Thanks, Andrew

Just a one year update.

Baking Soda in water is magical. Hardly a half a teaspoon to each 20oz glass is all it takes. Wow does it clean your system but its worth the 2-3 weeks of discomfort.

Dead Sea Salt baths are also amazing. It seems as though it draws the chemicals and impurities straight out of your body that cause psoriasis.

Diet is everything. No Processed foods period. No Processed sugar. Red meat is really good but its not ideal.

I smoke cigarettes and drink beer(Stout is the way to go) frequently and there is no way that these two things are the cause.

I have noticed that there is a time delay on diet. When you eat something that is wrong, it takes time to filter to your skin surface. It depends on the magnitude of how awful it is for your system.

In the end, enjoy what you like in life but if you want healthy skin I have found that you counteract my pleasures with Baking Soda in water for every glass, Dead sea salts for quick elimination of psoriasis and eating well is the best remedy.

Too really crush an outbreak I found that I must change my lifestyle. 85% vegetables and fruits and 15% NON-red meat. Nuts and other things are all good.

Draw the chemicals and impurities out with Dead Sea Salt Baths and intake of Baking Soda in every glass of water as the best way.

I don't buy the stress thing. I do buy the alcohol thing however Stouts seem to be the most awesome with no worries.

Hope this all helps many of you. It's not you. It's what you input that creates the output.

Iodine

Thank you SO MUCH for the info on iodine and on bromine detox! I have only got tiny spots of psoriasis in the 48th year of my life. Popping open a capsule of vitamin D3, and applying it would provide relief, and heal it. But this latest spot on my eyelid has been a really bad problem that would not go away. AND it came up as soon as I started iodine supplementation, for the first time since moving the farthest north I have lived in my life (Chicago suburbs).

So I read the PDF Guide to Supplementing With Iodine which you provided. And then I went and took 1/2 tsp of sea salt in some water, and then drank as much fresh water as that made me need. Also, I had quit taking iodine for a couple of days, as I noticed it made the psoriasis flare up way worse. Finally, my eyelid is mostly healed up! In ONE DAY! The PDF says that the chloride part of sodium chloride (salt) binds to the bromide that the iodine supplementation set free, and then the bromide (which was causing the psoriasis, as my body was trying to detox it) gets peed out.

I had no idea that bromide is probably causing me so many health problems. The PDF says iodine is needed in all the organs in our bodies, especially the ones with mucous linings. I think this also solved my HORRIBLE acid reflux problem. The acid reflux is suddenly gone, after one tsp of salt, too. Here's my logic on why: Acid reflux is caused by a bad bacterial overgrowth in the stomach, which weakens the sphincter and lets the acid out into the esophagus. Iodine kills bad bacteria, but leaves the beneficial bacteria. But iodine couldn't help my stomach until I took the salt that removed the bromide, or bromine, or whatever form that stuff was in.
