I read this book about Vermont Folk medicine and it talked about drinking ACV, honey and water and how it pretty much helps with everything. So I figured I would give it a shot, cuz it can't hurt. And now I mix a pitcher of it and me and the kids drink it. I just had my cholesterol checked and it lowered 30 points in a year. I wasn't even worried about my cholesterol. We refer to the mixture as honey drink and it makes a difference for me feeling hot and cold, having energy, rarely getting sick. I am totally sold and now buy honey and ACV in bulk. And I recommend it to everyone.

I was wondering exactly how much ACV, honey and water was use to make the pitcher.

Wondering if those who have experienced such luck with taking ACV for cholestrol have also made dietary and exercise changes as well. If so, please let us know this as they factor into the success. It would be good to know what the total program is so one can gauge the success.

I have been on cholesteral meds for the past yrs and I am done! I'm going in for blood work next week..while still on the meds...after that, going to stick with the ACV for 3-6 months then test again... Also I have stopped taking acid reflux over the counter drugs and using ACV - will be back in 30 days to give the acid relux update.

Try replacing the ACID reflux meds with 1/4 TSP. of cayenne pepper in 1/3 c. water(stir well), chug a lug followed by 2/3 c. water...it will cure ulcers and help or destroy acid reflux. Do this for 2 weeks . After that continue once a week to keep healthy, it may also address cholesterol levels .Don't be chicken ..it won't burn!

You may have in your spice rack but buy some, make sure it is fresh and powerful.

For those of you worried about your cholesterol, type cholesterol myths into your search engine, and prepare to be surprised.

Then type in VAP test and you'll realise cholesterol myth is not talking about VLDL and particle sizes and CRP and PLAC etc...

ACV is a miracle remedy!! Eight weeks ago i was rushed to the hospital for chest pains and my blood pressure was up due to the anxiety created from the chest pains. After 2 days of testing in the hospital it was concluded that my cholesterol was borderline high. My Total Cholesterol was 239. I was told to take aspirin and given a prescription for some other popular medication, neither of which i took. I came across your site doing some research on natural remedies and now I am truly amazed at how ACV has working for me in only 7 weeks. My cholesterol came down from 239 to 175. I started taking 2Tbs mixed with either cranberry or grape juice in the morning and the same at night. The juice helps with the bitter taste of the Vinegar. I have had very little change in my diet, except for the fact that i no longer eat eggs! I have, however increased my activity to working out at least 3x's week. I am going to carefully watch my cholesterol and continue to drink the ACV and go back to my doctor in 2 months for another test.

apple cider vinager is great but so are eggs... boiled they are simply ovals of pure protein. my cardiologist suggested eating them and cutting the carbs/ such as no potatoes only two slices of bread a day etc. kind of like the adkins less the bacon :)

Edgar Cayce said egg yolks should be eaten only when soft-boiled everyday- very nutritious for all- babies, kids and adults. Boil eggs in cool water and its done when water starts boiling.

Hard boiled gives you cholesterol.

I am sorry but there is good evidence nowadays that eggs have nothing to do with cholesterol! Also the liver makes much more cholesterol than what you could ever eat so if you eat a bit more the liver will make less! I have no idea who Edgar Cayce is but I don't think that he is right!

My cholestrol has been high my entire adult life. I come from it naturally in a family that has the same problem. I have been put on just about every medicine that has come out without success. I have tried garlic and a low fat diet but have had no success with that either. I came across this page while researching migrane remedies and thought that I would give it a try. I started taking 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a glass of warm water once a day about a year ago. My cholestrol has always measured around the 254 mark and my triglycrides had always been well over 300. This past January my blood draw came back with very surprising results. My cholestrol was 162 and triglycrides were 163. I made the nurse calling me double check the name on the report. I have continued this therapy hoping that it wasn't a fluke. I will know in August when I have my next blood draw. I'm hoping for even better results. I also was able to stay 100% healthy this past year. With so much illness in a very close office setting I was able to not use one sick day while most of my co-workers were off at least one day if not more. It has not produced any weight loss benefits but I'm only 140 lbs to start with so I'm not so concerned with that as I was with the cholestrol results. I have passed this on to some friends that are suffering from the same thing. I'm waiting to hear their results.

Resonse to Julie in Ohio looking for migraine headache relief.... This works almost immediately.....find nat.mur 30x and belladonna30x at health food store in homeopathic (about $4.00 each) take 5 each under tongue... works right away. Then find a traditional chinese medicine practioner licenced to help you resolve the underlying cause, if you want to. Recommend www.ITMonline.org

I had my cholesterol checked in Jan. before I started drinking apple cider vingar(209). I had it checked again 3 months later and it is down 3 points (206). I am taking 1 tablespoon three times a day mixed in juice. I am going to hope it continues to bring it down. I take a number of vitamins too. The only thing I have not had is weight loss. I am small and have put on a couple of pounds so the ACV did not make me lose any weight.

If cholesterol is at 200 plus or minus 10 you are in good shape.

You need cholesterol in your system. I had 280-300 and I started taking 1500 Mg. garlic oil caps. One a day and the Cholesterol went to 170. It happened over a 6 month period. I do not take statins. Trigliserides are good. Funny, statins cost a lot and can make you loose your memory.

Garlic oil caps cost 4.99 for 500 and also help with stomaach problems and high blood pressure. 140/90 to 117/70. You can get them from a health food store or online.

First, thanks for the website. I, sadly, have NOT found that ACV lowered my cholesterol. In fact, my LDL and overall Levels are actually UP (slightly) since my last blood test. However, (and this is a big however) something else odd happened in the 9 weeks I have been taking ACV (dosage: one mouthful each morning). After almost a year of no change in my Triglycerides, they dropped a whopping 32% since my last blood test. There simply IS no other explanation other than the ACV - none. The only "possible" reason for this - is that in the last 2 weeks I started a low GI diet. Even then, 2 weeks of not eating watermelon is hardly a reasonable explanation for a 32% drop in blood fat (triglycerides), and often what is good in the low GI - is blacklisted on a Triglyceride diet - such as apples, oranges, peaches etc....all of which I have been consuming recently in carnivorous fashion. For the record; Everyone needs to keep in mind that 80% of your Cholesterol is produced by your body...but Triglycerides are nearly 100% dietary and exercise related.

I do suffer from diabetes for several years. Several weeks ago I went to the doctor and they told me that my cholesterol was quite high 210. I began taking ACV once a day 2 tablespoons a day. In about a month time my cholesterol went down to 160 and blood pressure to 1about 120/80. I noticed that it is suggested to take at least to take the ACV twice to three times a day. Also is the unfiltered product is being used. Has anyone used the capsules? Two tablets do contain 600 mg of ACV. What have been the results of using the capsules? Appreciate comments. Thank you

I began taking 2tbsp of ACV every day since February. I didn't change one other thing in my diet and my cholesterol dropped 46 points from 258 to 212. I was shocked and so was my doctor. I made her copy my bloodwork results so I have the paperwork to prove it!!!

I have been taking 2 tbsp of acv in water every morning for about 8 years. My cholesterol has been consistently around 260-278 for the past three years, up from 220-230's. Should I take more? I don't want to go on medication. and my 'good' count is too low now. It all worries me.

You may need to take a look at your diet as well. Don't rely on one fix, but look at your overall health. Include exercise when possible. You may be one of the people that needs the meds afterall, but try some other fixs first.

ACV is helping to bring down my high cholesterol. I am amazed how ACV is working for me,it's only been 3 months that I have tried this and my cholesterol came down from 231 to 222. I came across your site doing a search because somone told me how ACV worked for them. I started taking 2Tbs in the AM followed by a small glass of grape jucie. The grape juice helps with the bitter taste of the Vinegar. I am now increasing my ACV to 2X a day because I am so impressed. I had my blood work done this week and was pleasantly surprised to find out that it came down without even changing my diet! Now I am going to carefully watch my cholesterol intake and continue to drink the ACV and go back to my Dr. in 6 mo. and test it again. ACV is a great alternative to traditional medinations and I am now a true believer in it! I hope this helps someone else who is thinking of trying ACV! Continued Success to all!

After reading a lot of articles about dealing with gallstones in the USA, I found out that a little is mentioned, or not at all, about laser surgery that has been for long time in practice in european countries for removing gallstones. Ask your doctor about it... Also, a very good remedy for lowering or getting rid of a bad cholesterol is a homemade apple vinegar. It tastes like an apple cider, just it's very sour. If you have a chance to come across a book of bosnian homemade remedies, get it! Also, dates are very good fruit for the women who cannot get pregnant.

2 TBS of ACV, 12 ounces of grape juice and 2 TBS of pure honey... I'm not cured yet, but I believe this is going to work for my high cholesterol. 'I'm a 46 y/o black man with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I'm currently taking plendil for high blood pressure. About a month ago I had my cholesterol checked and it was 282. My LDL is 199. I looked at your website today and immediately went to the store to get some grape juice, honey and ACV. In about 30 minutes of drinking this recipe I started felling better. My head is clear and I got a little pep in my step. I'm going to continue taking this remedy and have my cholesterol checked in a month. I know it's going to be better. God makes the simplest things to fix our big problems.

I ran across this site recently. I've been looking for natural ways to lower my cholesterol and blood pressure without having to take a lot of pills every day. It never occurred to me that my fathers remedy to cure his children's illnesses would also prevent high blood pressure. My father drank 12 ounce mug of honey and apple cider vinegar in hot water every day for as long as I can remember. His cholesterol levels and blood pressure was never high. It was always normal. He did pass away several years ago due to a heart attack. However, this was not brought on by cholesterol or blood pressure. This was due to pneumonia, which he got every year for about 15 years. Still today, when I've feeling slightly ill, I make myself a cup of honey and vinegar. I made this for an ex about 3-4 years ago. He couldn't believe how much better he felt within 45 minutes after drinking honey and acv. He didn't believe me that it would work. He was amazed.

Apple Cider Vinegar has cured high cholesterol, high blood pressure and gout. 2 tbl spoons in a glass of cold water every morning. This is truly God's gift to mankind. You will never need another pill, ever. By the way, the gout was caused by taking the pills prescribed by my doctor. (rosuvastatin 10 mg ). It's such a pleasure to be able to pass on such good news. God bless you all.

Tried the ACV and it triggered a gout attack. It's too acid for me. I had to chug black cherry juice and take capsules to pull out of it. I would not reccomend ACV for gout sufferers. Looks like it won't work for me. Dang!!

I think you should have persisted with the ACV since, according to Dr Jarvis, it flushes out acid and makes the body more alkaline. Methinks it could have been a herxheimer reaction while your body was doing the flushing?

I was told by my doctor that my cholesterol was high (240). He put me on medication (lipitor.) I tried the medication for a couple of weeks but began to feel pain in my muscles, it felt like getting acupuncture, like if someone was inserting needles into my muscles. I called the doctor right away and he told me to stop taking the medication, he told me to try to diet and exercise. I did a little research and found info on apple cider vinegar . I also bought flax seed oil, fish oil, ester "C"and garlic supplements @ a local health food store i tried all of this for a couple of months along with exercise such as riding my bike. I recently did another blood test and found out from my doctor that my cholesterol was back to normal ranges! i was also suffering from acid reflux, which is also gone. I used to get pain in my chest which was from the acid reflux I used to think I was having a heart attack but it was the acid reflux which is also gone. the apple cider vinegar sure does work.
