Hi to all, I'm from Sydney Australia and I have had a horrific outbreak (my first) of perioral dermatitis around my nose and chin area. Obviously did the wrong thing with using cortorsone cream thinking it would work which it didn't, however I got onto this website and read all the different blogs regarding which creams and ideas worked the best. So in the end I purchased Apple Cider Vinegar, which I put on evey 2 hours, this really stung and made my face very red yet it did dry it out which is what I wanted. I then purchased an aloe vera plant, cut the leaf in half and applied the gel straight from the leaf every hour. Wow! This is the goods. This is the best remedy I could possibly recommend. It takes the red out, dries the area and soothes it completely. I must say that the affected area is nearly clear after 3 days of using the leaf. If I was to recommend one product use Aloe Vera. Be aware, get the plant not the gel from the chemist, the reason being you need to apply the gel from the middle of the plant as it is the best and strongest. The outside of the gel closest to the leaf has a protective toxin so you don't want to use this only the middle gel. Good luck to all.
