Thank you! My son has severe acid reflux attacks. Desperate last night I went on line and found this site. Within minutes of taking a couple of drinks of apple cider vinegar and baking soda his pain subsided and he was able to sleep. He was a new person this morning! He is 19 and has suffered from bouts of acid reflux since he was 5.

In response to Frank from Ontario: Have had severe upper gastro complaints, several hospitalisations, 10 doctors and surgeons, g/scopes and colonoscopy, just to discover its a hiatus hernia causing the heart attack-like symptoms.feeling of food sticking and bloating.
Mistakenly treated for candida albicans 2x. Now 2 conflicting treatment options from surgeons, that's scary! Nexium 40mg/day not doing much. The apple cider remedy has been going for yonks, thank God! prefer to rather try this than an op. will give it a bash and check in latr. All the best to the rest of you. Thanx for this great site.

To Frank from Ontario, Sounds like you are really having a problem there with your stomach. Been there, done that -until I stumbled onto what my underlying problems was and eliminated bleached flour from my food intake. You really have to think and totally remove it because only a bite or two of anything containing bleached flour is enough to set it off. Since I eliminated bleached flour, life has been a lot more fun and less misery from the almost constant heartburn, indigestion, nausea and outright ulcer pain which is miserable. I have never been treated for pyloric helicobacter, which is now said to cause peptic ulcer disease, but I have sailed through lots of emotional & financial stress, with my "cast iron stomach" letting me continue to enjoy my black coffee (add milk & I get indigestion), my occasional "booze on the rocks", Hot sauce (including Habernara & jalapeno) on a lot of my foods without stomach distress.

I've read these pages here a few times now because I'm desperate. I've been on Nexium now for about 1 1/2 years. Losec stopped working which I was on for about 5 years before that. Now the Nexium has stopped working and anything I eat burns going down. I have an aching feeling all the way down my esophogeus. I've been basically eating bland foods just to get something in me. I've tried the ACV with baking soda for 2 weeks on and off. It doesn't seem to help. Do I have to just bite the bullit and go through the pain and just keep up. Has anyone gone through this. I also get stabbing pains in my chest but it always happens at night and it seems like I'm going to die because the pain is so severe. I've taken Aloe Vera Gel, Slippery elm. I would appreciate any feedback.

Apple Cider Vinegar/Baking Soda: I am commenting on Mary Buchanan's post regarding having two stints and having to take Plavix. I would like to tell everyone that there is a wonderful natural product which will eliminate the need for taking chemical blood thinners such as Coumadin, Plavix and even aspirin.

It is called Nattokinase which is a derivative of fermented soybeans. It will break up bloodclots within in hours with no bad side effects. It probably would be well to do this under an integrative physician's care, just to eliminate the rare case of loosening a clot into the bloodstream. I have not heard of this actually happening, but the possibility is there, nevertheless. Aside from that very rare occurrence, the use of Nattokinase should be recommended to anyone who has had heart surgery of any kind. Also, for those who have a tendency for Pulmonary embolisms or PAD/deep vein thrombosis, this product will eliminate them entirely because it will not allow new dangerous clots to form. It may be taken on a daily basis with no danger of thinning the blood too much because it only works in a dangerous clotting situation. There is absolutely no danger of profuse bleeding from an injury or cut, even surgery, because it will not keep the healing clot from forming.

I know that this product works because I had a pulmonary embolism a month after a car accident which bruised my sternum so badly that I couldn't breathe normally. As soon as I got out of the hospital I started the Nattokinase and the clot was cat-scan gone within 10 days! I had just changed to a new doctor and had to sign a release so that if anything untoward happened she would not be blamed but I was happy to do it. Sincerely, Tana

For the past two weeks I have suffered both physically and emotionally because the acid reflux pain was so severe that it mirrored the discomfort that I had had during a heart attack last May. I now have two stints and have to take Plavix which in turn has caused heart burn and severe esophageal burning. I was prescribed protonix. At first this gave some relief but had to be increased to twice daily. Then I got a sinus infection & sore throat about three weeks ago and my dr. put me on a Z-Pac of antibiotics and for the past 2 weeks the burning at the base of my sturnum increased. I was desparately in pain yesterday and I found your wonderful web site quite accidentially. And there was the acid reflux info right there before me. It must have been nirvana! I immediately tried the ACV and BS combo (2 tbs ACV to 1/8 tea BS in a glass of purified water)and the pain was GONE! I have now done 4 treatments and am rejoicing! I can't even begin to tell you how relieved I am that I don't have to go do a stress test or angiogram to find out that I was NOT having another damn heart attack! Life is good, once again! Earth Clinic is fabulous and I've probably told 50 people about your site already and I just discovered it yesterday! Thank you! I can't wait to try the oll pulling. Question: Do you think the combination of the plavix and the antibiotic just was too much for a system to handle?

Hi, I tried ACV and baking soda for my severe acid reflux however, it didn't work for me! I am taking slippery Elm that I purchased from the health food store and it is WORKING!!! I have tried everything you can think of and have suffered with this for over 6 years but this is worth a try! it is about $8.00 for a bottle of 100 capsules If ACV and baking soda isn't working for you then try the slippery Elm. I started taking Apple Cider Vinegar and baking soda 2 weeks ago. I have been on Protonix, Reglan, and Prevacid for years, and they just stopped working. I went on line to check out the apple cider vinegar cure and I started using it right away. It helped my acid reflux immediately. I no longer have that burning sensation in my esophagus 24 hours a day. I am so very grateful for this remedy. I told my doctor, who never heard of it, and he said to continue using it. I also like the idea that it is 100% natural and you really can't beat the price!!

I have tried just about everything! I went for an endoscopy and the gastroenterologist did not see much evidence of acid reflux. But he said I probably had it since my stomach was inflamed. He diagnosed me with gastritis. I have not been able to eat without severe nausea for the last 6 months! The strange thing is that I never get a burning sensation. I bought some PH strips and my urine PH was very acidic along with my saliva. I understand it is normal to have a slightly urine PH but mine was always very acidic. I ate lots of steamed vegetables, am a vegetarian, never drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes so I don't think my diet had anything to do with it. I think it was years of stress catching up with me. Fortunately for me, my nutritionist turned me onto ACV and I searched for more information on ACV and found this web site. After about 6 days of taking 1-2 tablespoons of ACV, 3X per day with a 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda to neutralize the ph before the major meals and my acid reflux is almost completely gone! Before I had tried ACV, I had to even stop exercising because the glands in my throat would get so swollen. Now I take a teaspoon of ACV with a dash of baking soda before I exercise and hardly experience any swolleness in my glands. Each day my condition is improving.......I honestly thought that my life was coming to an end........the nausea and sudden change to my lifestyle was crippling. I continue to take one digestive enzyme capsule with each major meal, but I used to have to take about 4 of them to just get by. I am wondering if I will have to take ACV for my whole life........since my condition is getting better with each day perhaps I'll eventually be just be on an occasional maintenance mode .Thanks so much for this website. Good luck and God Bless to everyone! Also, you can toss the prilosec into the garbage dump!......Prilosec worked well for a while but the joints in my body were hurting me more. I now feel young again!

Thanks so much! I have been experiencing acid reflux for about a month now, and went on Prilosec with not much avail, in fact the burning sensation in my upper abdomen, chest, and neck area has gotten worse. I tried soothing the pain with soda crackers and Rolads, and it gave me some immediate relief, but then it was worse the next day. So I started searching the net, and I found this wonderful site!! Last night I started taking 1 TBSP. ACV and 1/4 tsp. baking soda in 4 oz. of water. I also tried some of my dill pickle juice, and in 2-3 hours, most of the symptoms are gone! I have tried the same concoction today, and have not had that burning sensation in my neck, chest or abdomen all day!! I'm so happy that I found your site!!!! Thanks again. brose

My boyfriend suffered from very bad acid reflux, he used to take at least 20 Rolaids a day. Since he started to drink Ted's home remedy of ACV and Baking soda 4x a day, he does not need to take any more Rolaids. Thank you Ted.

I have been taking the AVC/Baking Soda for acid reflux 3 times a day but not sure to take it an hour before each meal, during the meal or after. My reflux seems to bother me the most about 2 hours after my dinner, which I usually eat around 5:30. Thank you for your help - glad I found this cure. Only been on it 3 days but what a difference. Also, can you ever go off it or is it something you have to do every day?

Another testimonial in praise and thanks for Ted's ACV/baking soda remedy. I had been using ACV in water for months just as a general tonic, but still had reflux in the form of hunger pangs after eating, which induced a cough. It took 2 weeks but Ted's remedy did it! Thank you for your time and dedication to educating us on the wonders of the body -- if we understand its complexity and work with it rather than just shooting down symptoms, it self-corrects. You are a blessing.

First of all, huge thanks for your amazing website - I feel as though I have unexpectedly fallen upon gold. I have experienced chronic Acid reflux symptoms for several months. Not wanting to take the prescribed medication I have been chewing 2 DGL before meals, which somewhat alleviated the distress, but not a lot. Two days ago I read about Ted's ACV remedy and tried 2 Tablespoons of Natural Cider Vinegar and 1/2 Teaspoon of baking soda in a cup of water, as recommended. INSTANT RELIEF. It seems like a miracle. I can even bend over without feeling the usual burning pain in my chest. My MD is eager to pass on the information about this and the website to her other patients. (PS: I understand that I should take a break from the ACV after 3 days. But how long before I restart on it?) Thanks to Ted and all the wonderful people who make Earth Clinic possible. Trish
