Turpentine Usage

I bought the turpentine labeled Pure Gum Spirits... I saw the one that said 100% tree resin also. I decided that I would try a little bit in my bath water before I tried to ingest it. WHEEW~ the smell was pretty strong and it somehow did not strike me as a "natural smell" I changed my mind to even bathe in a little bit. I emptied the tub and noticed that my 100 year old cast iron porcelain clawfoot tub with some pretty awful mineral build up seemed to be looking a little better where I had splashed the turpentine.I grabbed some plain steel wool and went to work. I had tried all the stuff advertised for rust and stains and soap scum etc... etc.. and a whole bunch of home cleaners...including our friend vinegar.....but nothing worked like that straight up turpentine! ( Had to rinse it pretty good) BUT -- My tub looks fabulous!

It is a solvent so that makes sense! Thank you for helping me stumble onto this use for the turpentine. I still am going to wait for awhile before imbibing on it, and maybe I will order that organic brand from Georgia!

Hi Tina...Turpentine is mainly an anti-oxidant therapy but Hydrogen Peroxide is a pro-oxidant therapy. So if you take them at the same time they will react with each other to cancel out and neutralize each other's beneficial effects.

Luckily, hydrogen peroxide only lasts for about an hour in the body before it is used up. So just make sure that you take the turpentine dose at least an hour or two after you have taken the hydrogen peroxide.

It's not so bad for the turpentine because the reduced form(anti-oxidant) and the oxidized form of turpentine both have beneficial properties for the body. See this link. However, whenever HP is neutralized by an anti-oxidant it is usually just converted to oxygen and water and all its pathogen-killing and detox properties are lost as a consequence.

Hi Bill,

Thank you so much for your detailed reply. Earth Clinic and it's readers are truly fortunate to be able to benefit from your knowledge.

i am going to start taking the turpentine, beginning with one-fourth tsp, twice a week using raw honey/coconut oil method you recommend. My aim is to use it as a parasitic cleanse. Will keep you posted on my progress!

I have been taking H2O2 first thing every morning since last summer. I am now on the maintenance dose of three drops. It's been very helpful and I am reluctant to stop it. My energy level has never been better and even with the terrible winter we've been having in the North East, my immune system remains strong. Could I continue taking it every morning even on the days that I take the turpentine? Or would that be too much? Thanks again for your help.

Hi Timh...Liposomal turpentine certainly sounds interesting, but creating a liposomal nano-capsule relies on using lecithin oil to completely surround a droplet of the turpentine. Unfortunately, turpentine is very soluble in such oils so I don't think it would allow the oil to surround and encapsulate it -- but instead would just dissolve in it, thus preventing true liposomal delivery. That's only my opinion, mind you, so might be worth a try.

I also looked into DMSO as possible mechanism for turps delivery into the blood quickly in order to avoid the intestinal route but, unfortunately again, I found out that turpentine was completely insoluble in DMSO. So there are some drawbacks with turpentine, mainly due to its lipophillic nature.

I'm also trying an experiment right now with the turps. I mentioned in another post that I was going to try taking a small amount of alcohol distillate and turpentine mixed with water for faster direct absorption from the stomach into the blood -- for blood born diseases. I've had an annoying head cold and tickle in the throat for the last couple of days, so I thought I would try turps against this virus. I found an old bottle of whisky so I used that. Two teaspoons of jock whisky mixed with one teaspoon turpentine was the dose, then I added a third of a glass of water and drank it down (without ice...lol). Didn't taste that bad, to tell the truth.

That was over 2 hours ago. And yes, there were a few rumbles in the jungle from way down below, as well as some minor bloating effects but nothing too awkward, radical or painful. No nausea or anything like that. I have to admit that right now my head is not so fuzzy, blocked nose is gone, my vision is a lot clearer with apparently less coughing. It's evening now and early days yet, so will be able to judge the result more honestly tomorrow or in the next few days I think.

Maybe this is why Gin made from conifer is such a common drink among those living in the wilderness; it proly has many of the healing qualities as Turpentine. These may mix well for the body, but the mind will be no better off. Maybe once or twice per wk would be beneficial.

Speaking of methods of administration, Bill; what about Liposomal Turpentine w/ or without sonication? This would definitely promise to deliver the T systemically as opposed to mostly the gut. Am definately willing to give this a try.

Hi Tina... I know Diamond V Georgia Turpentine and it is a very good organic product. Most turpentine products are the rectified form -- usually made from the distillation of stumps and wood from pine trees. But Diamond V is made in the older proper way -- by collecting the sap from pine trees and distilling this bark sap into pure gum turpentine.

When you begin supplementing with turpentine start either with drop dosages or just start with a 1/4 teaspoon and increase the dose slowly, over a week or more(with breaks), to 1 teaspoon.

The way I supplement turpentine, I take one teaspoon of either raw honey or molasses(your own preference) to coat the tongue and mouth. Then I take 1 one teaspoon of castor oil(or you can use VCO as an alternative if you like) and mix this all up in my mouth. Finally I add the turpentine dosage and mix it all up in the mouth and then chase this down with a glass of water.

Unfortunately, turpentine is not soluble or miscible in water -- which is why you need to take it with an oil of some sort. Other methods of taking turpentine: With sugar or with milk. If you have candida then take the dose before a meal. This ensures that the turps will be carried into the intestines to do its good work against candida there.

I take the turpentine dose only twice a week for preventative reasons. But if you have a problem like candida then you should slowly work up to one teaspoon every day if you can. You will, most likely, get significant die-of or Herx reactions. You are allowed to stop this protocol and have as many breaks as you like in order to make the healing crisis less severe. This is up to you.

Because turpentine is such a rapid pathogen and parasite killer, I take it twice a week as a general preventative. And if you do have a problem in your intestines then supplementing turpentine like this will give a healing reaction(die-off) that you will definitely notice. So I am also using this protocol not only as a preventative, but also as a gauge or indicator if anything is wrong with my intestines. As most know, my own way is to protect the liver, kidney, thyroid and intestines in my own protocols for health.

But there are even more ways of taking turpentine, depending on what outcomes you want. In the above, I have already described how to best take the turpentine to get rid of problems in the intestines against candida, bacteria, parasites etc. But turps is also a blood purifier -- in the blood, it kills many forms of pathogens, expels xenobiotics and also acts as a mild diuretic. That's what I mean by "purifying the blood". So how do we take turps to get rid of blood born diseases to help purify the blood?

The best method obviously involves getting the turps into the blood as fast as possible. Unfortunately, other than taking just the turpentine on an empty stomach outside mealtimes there are not many ways of doing this. But I am considering one way. I've also read that turps can be taken with wine(turps is also soluble in alcohol), so my own idea is to supplement the turps using a small amount of distilled alcohol with water. This would ensure very rapid absorption of the turps directly into the blood from the stomach. I haven't tried this yet(and I don't advise it), but will report back later on how this goes.

Hi Bill,

I had had a question regarding turpentine. After reading your posts and of many others regarding the health benefits of turpentine, I decided to add it to my daily routine. I bought gum spirits of turpentine made from slash pine trees. It is manufactured here in the US, from a company called Diamond G Forest Products, Georgia. On the bottle it says "solvent for removing paints and waxes. DANGER: Harmful or fatal if swallowed; irritant to skin and eyes."

Is this a statutory type of warning? Or did I get the wrong kind of turpentine? If so, I will return it. But I would be grateful if you could guide me to a brand that is safe to take internally and one which is available easily in the US. Thank you for taking the time to respond!

We used to get it in kindergarden in Europe. A few drops on sugar cube or molasses. Start with one drop and increase to, say, four. Up to one quarter tsp. or a little more. I found mine at a hardware store and phoned the company to make sure it was pure. It was pure. it is great stuff once you get used to it. Google "Experiences with Kerosene and Turpentine". Or read Walter Last on these. Namaste, Om

Not speaking as an authority, but when I started turpentine a year or so ago I researched awhile and bought my gum spirits from a professional Art Supplier on the internet. Artist use the highest quality Gum Spirits Turpentine there is. I would mention the name, but don't think that's allowed. It's not dirt cheap, but I had rather pay a little more than get tainted stuff.

Have not taken it in a while, but took it on on sugar cubes and it stayed with me for the rest of the day. Followed the directions of Dr Jennifer Daniels on the internet. She's one smart lady and was trying to help poor people until Big Pharma ran her off to Panama. I won't get into my Dante's Inferno routine.

Hi Healthseeker...MMS is Miracle Mineral Solution or Chlorine Dioxide that was discovered by Jim Hubble. It is a pro-oxidant (rather than anti-oxidant) method of destroying pathogens. This means that it uses its free radical properties to kill pathogens. MMS is very similar to hydrogen peroxide in this respect. Unfortunately, if you are using any form of pro-oxidant protocol like MMS or hydrogen peroxide, this will always tend to deplete the anti-oxidants in your body. Generally, MMS reduces the body's anti-oxidants because pro-oxidants will always tend to react with any anti-oxidants which would tend to cancel out each other's beneficial effects.

This is why, when supplementing MMS and hydrogen peroxide, you must never take any anti-oxidants at the same time. And this is one of the reasons why MMS only tends to be effective in the body for less than an hour -- because the body naturally tends to get rid of free radicals quickly.

Turpentine is an anti-oxidant protocol that tends to kill many forms of pathogens. Turpentine therefore does not tend to deplete anti-oxidants and therefore lasts for a much longer amount of time in the body. In Mr Prakash's usage of turpentine/MMS for his young son, I also strongly advised that he should alternate the MMS and turpentine protocols on a week on, week off basis -- you should never use MMS and turpentine at he same time.

There seems to be little or no difference between kerosene and turpentine in terms of its content or healing qualities. I also believe that turpentine is the stronger verson of the two(higher iso-pinene content). I also tend to recommend turpentine because its easy -- just look for pure gum spirit of turpentine. There are many equivalents to kerosene -- mineral oils, paraffin, white spirit etc. This tends to be confusing. But turpentine is turpentine -- just look for turpentine made from the pure sap of pine trees with no additives.

Work up to the one teaspoon dose over a week or more. Start with a 1/4 teaspoon of turps. After you have been on this protocol for a month then take a rest for about a week from the protocol. And if you have serious candida issues then you will probably get Herx or die-off. If this happens then just take a day off from the protocol and do it like that.

Just some more information on Turpentine. In a recent email to me, Mr Prakash, whose son has severe parasite, candida and bacterial infections, describes the progress his son has made while using turpentine.

The newer research confirms that it is the toxins from the parasites and candida that interfers with a child's brain development which causes various autism spectrum disorders. So it therefore becomes paramount to rid Mr Prakash's son of these parasites and candida in order for his autism problems to improve. Mr Prakash has only been using the turpentine protocol for just over a month. Here is how he describes turpentine's effects against parasites, candida and biofilms in a recent email:

"My son has been making a steady progress [on MMS] with 1-2 worms/biofim per week. But after using Turp, has expelled almost twice as often. His behavioral gains were also very drastic. Another parent who has not seen any biofilm/worm for 3 months has started seeing worms and biofilm after a week on Turpentine

...Turp is Turpentine. It's made from pure gum spirits of pine trees. It's very effective against Biofilm/Candida which is the missing link in our [Autism] recovery protocols. It was used as a home remedy in olden days."

I also know that many people seem to have unfounded fears about turpentine that seem to me to be unjustified. And here's why:

If you look up the MSDS for gum turpentine they will never have any toxicity research available on the LD50 levels for rats or rabbits. However, if you can find an MSDS for turpentine that occurs before 1999 (when turpentine was suddenly banned as a poison for no good reason) then you will see that it has an LD50 (median kill) level on rats and rabbits of over 5000 mgs/kg. Now compare this LD50 value against the LD50 for ordinary table salt (2600 mgs/kg) and you will see that turpentine is almost two times safer (as a poison) than ordinary table salt.

Furthermore, the LD50 for turpentine is 5000 mgs/kg which means that a man weighing 100 kgs would need to drink 500 mls -- or two glass fulls -- of turpentine to cause death.

I'm only recommending one teaspoon of turpentine a day for adults.

Thanks Bill for the explanation. I thought you were originally saying that turpentine wasn't supposed to be taken at all with drugs. I already understood how bad drugs are for the body & they don't provide a cure. My main concern was mixing the turpentine with drugs & thinking it would create a possible fatal reaction. Thanks & God Bless!

Turpentine Contraindications
Posted by Bill (San Fernando, Philippines) on 01/13/2014

Hi Tony...Turpentine/Kerosene both act as a diuretic and they expel xenobiotics. They generally function to cleanse the intestines and purify the blood.

Contra-indications between natural nutrients and drugs are always a problem. But whereas natural remedies tend to treat the core reasons for disease, drugs for chronic diseases are generally always palliative -- they only ever treat the symptoms.

What I'm saying here is that although these medical drugs might make you feel better, they do not treat the core reasons for your problems -- especially for heart disease and depression. So, if you continue to use these drugs, then further down the timeline these conditions are bound to get worse(because drugs do not treat the core reason -- they do not cure) and you will have to buy more and more drugs that fit the business profit model of the drugs companies perfectly.

In terms of drugs for serious chronic diseases, since a cure is generally out of the picture, we are not really patients -- we are just consumers.

Just an FYI in ref. to your comment about finding sulphur powder. I have been using the MSM (crystals) from local farm/feed store. (can't name brands/stoes on this site) Same type can be ordered on line manyonline pet or feed type websites. I researched this in the last year and it is as close to organic sulphur as you can get with out paying high priced of regular organic sulphur. This product is the crystal type product that looks very similar to like Epsom salts. I usually dissolve in water and use as a topical or consume depending on what the illness/wound treatment. The brand I get is 99% with no other fillers. In the past I was buying drug store capsules and breaking/empty to dissolve in water but it can have many fillers and sulphur can be picky and may be less effective if mixed with some chemicals. I think I paid about $12 for 2lbs just to give you and idea. Other organic sulphurs on the net sold for human consumption can cost you $50 and up. Works great and there are several brands/mfg so just look at the labels to make sure you get purest with out all the fillers. I think the crystals could be hand ground if you need powder.

Robert Henry from Ten Mile ---it' me, Om

I actually agree with the oil/sulphur treatment in YOUR times. Henry, but now the oil is carcinogenic and destroys tissue, causing severe health problems.

I remember a post where a woman tried to heal her dog of mange by seeing the vet. As often, nothing brought on a cure. Then someone reported her when they saw the dog's condition which brought her to court and the result was she was forced to buy the useless vet treatments. It got up my heckles. As a rescue person I have had a few times to answer for ignorasmusses who would rather kill an animal than bring it back on the road to health. So, I think in your times this was a successful cure and I am glad.

I have purchased pure turpentine but cannot come up with where to buy sulphur powder. So meanwhile I will buy NEWSTOCK from feed store which guarantees freedom from mite.

I strongly go along with some old time remedies which are practised even now in Europe. As a next thing I want to mention re your treatment of "intruders" and what to do to them: The Lord gave us free will to do as we please, with ONE condition : face up to the consequences! The key word is KARMA. Namaste, Om And all the bet.

Turpentine Contraindications

Hi Denise...Generally, nueropathy problems are fairly commonplace with Hepatitis C patients. This is called Cryoglobulinemia and results from the immune system cryoglubulins "globbing" in the blood vessels and causing inflammation affecting the nerves.

Regarding your more recent post, it is unfortunate that you have had such a reaction to the turpentine from taking such small drop dosages. Turpentine also has mild diuretic action, which means that it expels water and minerals from the body. Normally this does not cause problems(from my own experience), but if your main electrolytes(calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium) are out of balance then cramping in the body will occur. Lack of magnesium and/or potassium in the body are favourites for causing cramp.

Turpentine is also a wide-action pathogen killer. When pathogens are killed in high numbers then poisons will be released from the destroyed pathogens that can also give added or increased symptoms which can be severe. This is called the Herx effect. Furthermore, if your liver is weak or insufficient and has difficulty clearing these poisons then this may also give other added symptoms.

I must also add that turpentine acts to expel xenobiotics -- it will remove any synthetic drug or poison which the body does not recognize. This would also put a strain on the liver. I have no idea whether you are taking synthetic ribovarin or interferon, but turpentine may well act to also expel them from the body. So, if you are also taking these drugs, then you should not be taking the turpentine.

Perhaps you should investigate Oscar's BHT Remedy or Ted's Lysine, Threonine and Vitamin C remedies for Hepatitis C. These options should not generally give you such severe problems.

Hi Denise...Supplementing Turpentine has the effect of cleansing the bowels and purifying the blood. I have never read any research where turpentine has ever caused damage to nerves. The neuropathy problem that you mention is usually normally caused by the Hepatitis C virus.

The symptoms you might experience are a wooziness and drowsiness when you take too much turpentine because turpentine also has a sedative effect. Turpentine also can have a laxative effect, but I have only ever experienced a slight loosening of the stools when I took 2 tspns of turpentine in one go(double the normal dose). And if there is any ongoing disease in the blood or bowels, such as Hepatitis C, then you may well get a Herx or die-off reaction as well.

You can also take turpentine baths if you wish. Add one or two small shot glasses of turpentine into the bath and stay in the bath for about 1/2 hour. The iso-penenes in turpentine, the main beneficial ingredients, are also easily absorbed through the skin.

For interests sake, and to allay any fears, medical doctors commonly used and recommended internal teaspoon dosages of turpentine in the past.

Here are some examples of older turpentine usage and dosages:

Turpentine Tips

My own way is to put one teaspoon of honey or molasses in my mouth, then put the turpentine dose (usually one teaspoon for me) in my mouth next. Then I hold it in my mouth and mix it with my saliva and then I swallow this mix and just chase it down with some water.

If you've never taken turpentine like this before, then you should start with just a 1/4 tspn of turps, with increasing drop dosages over about a week until you are taking one teaspoon. If at any time while taking this protocol you have a Herx or die off reaction or if you feel woozy, drowsy or lethargic -- then take a day off the next day and resume, at a lesser dose, thereafter.

Walter Last also seems to prefer taking the turps or kerosene with a teaspoon of castor oil. The castor oil is a useful idea because it also kills candida and beneficially tends to gently accelerate excretion -- thus removing toxins more quickly from the body. Coconut oil or olive oil can also be taken as the carrier with the turps remedy as well.

Hi Faeqa. What you need to look for in turpentine is "100% gum turpentine" or "pure gum turpentine" on the label. Check out Walter Last's site with more information about turpentine/kerosene: http://www.health-science-spirit.com/kero.htm. God Bless!

I have been taking turpentine bath every single day for the last several month. When I start turpentine bath soon around waist area started to have a breakout. A lot of Fibrin structure. looks like scab. at the end what determins human death is the number of fibrin. The more fibrin coms out, the skin become half transparent and softer.when the kidney was cleansed I had major change in inner ears. As kidney and ear are related. I was producing a lot of ear wax. I often wondered when I was a child, I regularly produce ear wax. when I got sick, actually it stopped at a considerable speed. I believe my system started to get clogged. that is why. As the kidney started detox, my ear follows up.

After I started turpentine bath I reduced the number of herbs and supplements. Because turpentine itself is a powerful therapy. And I also rotate putting these into bath. For example, methylene blue, Magnesium, povidone iodine, MSM, Borax, Aquarium salt, BHT, DMSO. The beauty if turpentine bath is there is absolutely no extra effort. Because we all wash everyday, I take bath everyday.. Nothing added..!

I want to share a video that I found from a Google search on the usage of turpentine. It's pretty detailed & will benefit the ones wanting to know more on how to use turpentine as well as the health conditions treated by it. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WtzHyl1GRA

WARNING!

Much too strong a reaction. Very unpleasant. If used, only use a very small amount. Two thirds of a shotglass produced a very itching, tingling and burning reaction on my legs. I used coconut oil to calm them down. I cannot recommend this based on my unpleasant reaction.

Strange as it seems, suddenly I remember way back us kids in kindergarten in Europe. Whenever a child had cough or respiratory trouble, the nuns that ran the kindergarten gave us a sugar cube drenched with a black substance that did taste quite ok, perhaps with a faint resemblance to liquorice but not quite..

I remember the taste and was wondering what it might have been. Well, on reading Walter Last and other posts I know it was the good old stuff that did the trick. No wonder big pharma is trying to demonize it! Om

Inhaling Turpentine Vapors
Posted by Dlangdado (Cookeville Tn) on 12/10/2013

I've got two aunts in their 80's and take no prescription medicine and are fairly active for the age. They swear by inhaling turpentine esp in the winter to prevent flu. They also take a few drops on their tongue from time to time. They have got some old bottles of turpentine and it reads rectified and it gives the dosage that can be taken. Has anyone else heard of inhaling the vapors to prevent any illness?

5 years ago, I was in so much pain and as soon as I started coffee enema, pain was gone, but it was very difficult to increase my natural energy. I got pure gum spirit of turpentine. I put about 100 ml in a bath. Please start with a shot glass. It can get very hot. Turpentine is very very potent. I felt all my cells and muscles start pumping like earthquake. I mean that was strong pumping. even after coming out of the bathtub my body cells were pumping one more hours.. I think this is much stronger than getting a strong body massage.

I did this 2 days in a row and I have this tremendous eneregy that I had not felt in my entire life.

A few things that I added DMSO, Auarium salt (superior salt I can't complement enough) Magnesium chlrorite, methylene blue, on top of turpentine. First day I only used turpentine and the second day I added them. I felt much less discomfort with the second day.

Please be cautious of the turpentine amount. Very very potent. Because it was my first try I got scared whether I used too much or not. It turned out I was fine.

I felt so great afterwards. I also did this. I had pine essential oil. And I used several drops for half liter of water and aquarium salt and I did enema. Great. This is a very mild solution. Absolutely great. There is some magic power in pine oil. Oh, just only 2 days after, my flat belly is even more flater and smaller waist line. I mean I don't understand why every woman is not having a turpentine bath.

One more thing. Be prepared to sweat. Because it will make you! I love love love turpentine bath. and it is so cheap. a quart is less than 7 dollars from home depot. Pine essential oil is a little more. And this quart of turpentine includes potent, very potent healing power.

I mean it makes sense. Illness is so widespeared. If you were God, wouldn't you also make ths cure accessible everywhere? such things like pine trees?

From my experience the cure is not from rare or expensive sources. which is a very good news for humanity.

I have been looking at the uses etc on the kerosine and noted that the colouring added to our kerosine may be a problem... however the following product is clear.. http://www.recochem.com.au/files/downloads/Industrial_Kerosene_Clear_PDS_Apr10.pdf

Perhaps one of your readers may advise on the use of this product. Tom

EC: Not sure about kerosene, but medicinal turpentine can be found if you search Google under: "Medicinal Turpentine" or "Turpentine Gum Spirits".

We've seen the following old-time remedy sold in grocery stores and pharmacies throughout the USA: http://www.amazon.com/Humco-Turpentine-Gum-Spirits-Oz/dp/B001V9X8ZI

Hi Christine... Turpentine or distilled pine oil contains many terpenes -- of which limonene is just one. Pine oil usually contains about 0. 5% - 2% limonene content. The major constituents of pine oil are alpha- and beta-pinenes(also terpenes). The many health characteristics and benefits of the pinene content of pine oil are defined in this link.

The most interesting aspect of its healing properties is that turpentine is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-mycolasma, anti-viral and anti-parasitic. As well, these pinenes remove candida and bacterial biofilms quickly due to its solvent properties as a paint stripper. Pinenes can also expel xenobiotics -- they act to remove poisons and foreign drugs from the body.

I also must relate an interesting story and side-effect concerning my own use of pine oil. About six or seven months ago, just before starting to use and road-test the pine oil, I had a tooth capped because my gums had receded and the tooth roots were exposed. After I had this done, about a week later, the tooth roots became well infected and started to ache and it just got worse and worse. This tooth also became very loose and wobbly and I thought that I would eventually have to have the tooth pulled. I certainly did not want to loose this back tooth.

Then I started my experiment with supplementing about 8 - 12 drops of pine oil every day with a teaspoon of molasses or raw honey or with a glass of water.

After about a month into this protocol I noticed that the tooth pain or infection had gone away completely. The tooth and roots had also firmed up considerably.

So, as a result of this discovery and every night before bed, I would just put two drops of turpentine on my finger, wipe it on my tongue and spread it around my mouth with my tongue. I would not drink any water -- I would just leave the drops of pine oil in my mouth overnight. This was the last thing I did before my head hit the pillow.

First thing in the morning when I woke up, I noticed that my saliva or spit was thin and not sour, thick and mucusy. Also and amazingly -- no bad breath. This was all evidence to me that pine oil was successful and useful at killing bad bacteria in the mouth.

By putting just two drops on the tongue before sleep and keeping it in the mouth overnight, this will also have other minor benefits. During the night, the saliva and pine oil will naturally travel down the esophagus to the stomach -- effectively and gently disinfecting these regions overnight. As well and as you sleep, the pine oil vapour would also travel to the nose and lungs -- also helping to kill pathogens in these regions.

I can now crunch hard seeds and nuts with my once-infected back tooth. I also believe that taking two drops of pine oil every night helps to remove biofilms on the teeth, kills plaque bacteria and prevents gingivitis, thus improving and healing both the gums and teeth. I was also quite surprised but particularly pleased that pine oil successfully and completely cured both the infected tooth and the pain.

For myself, I will continue to use pine oil in this simple manner as a regular nightly protocol to help keep my teeth and gums healthy.

Hi Bill,

When you refer kerosene for turpentine. It reminds me of the hydrocarbon liquid fuel distilled from Petroleum. Of course both are different. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerosene. Kerosene is used as fuel for home cooking in rural regions of india and by the lower income people. Thanks

I read with interesting article post by Bill regarding Turpentine. It made me think about the connection to Limonene, which is extracted from orange peel and contains turpentine. It is also used as an industrial cleaner. I use it for digestive issues and mucus problems. I wounded whether it help by killing fungus and parasites. Does anyone know? My best wishers to everyone. Hi Kevin... There are several ways to supplement turpentine. I either supplement a teaspoon of turpentine with a teaspoon of either molasses or raw honey, mix them in my mouth, then down it with some water. You can also take the turpentine with sugar. Or I just take the teaspoon of turpentine with just some water.

If you have candida or intestinal problems then perhaps it is better to take the turpentine with sugar, molasses or honey just before meals. Then less turpentine gets absorbed directly into the blood from the stomach and most of the turps gets carried by the food into the intestines where it is most needed to get rid of the candida.

Taking the turpentine or kerosene with water or milk on an empty stomach, where it is more directly absorbed into the blood, is mainly the way that people in eastern Europe take this remedy. This method -- which acts to purify the blood -- seems to be very effective against disease outside the intestines like many and varous cancers, tuberculosis, leukemia, diabetes, sepsis etc. See this link.

As to your question, I've been using pine oil(essential oil) derived from Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) for the last six months. I have not been able to find any respectable turpentine or kerosene in the Philippines yet. However, Walter Last recommends several types and brands of turpentine or kerosene that can be used here in this article.

Hey Bill,

Thanks for your great research, it's really helped me a lot. I managed to find the right Turpentine with a boiling point of 165 degrees C. Does this mean it will be absorbed into the blood from the stomach; As Turpentine with lower boiling points do (i.e., between 100?C and 150?C) or will it have more action the intestines as you mentioned about Turpentine with boiling points up to 200?C ? Have you found a Turpentine with a boiling point in the lower range? Sorry. I know I'm showing up late to the party.

Every spring and every fall my grandmother would line my brothers and cousins up and each of us got our twice yearly dose of worming ---- a tablespoon of milk with two drops of gum turpentine. And the next few days we kept tabs on our stool passings and sure enough, out came the worms. Hey, we lived on a farm will all kinds of critters and my gram was well versed on how to get rid of most of the nasty ones.

Be careful turpentine sold at the supermarket isnt real turpentine, its slightly more volatile than kerosene made by the oil industry. Real turpentine comes from pine trees and is a bit of a mission to make.

I was told of an old concoction used for muscle and joint pain many years ago. It is made by combining two ounces of turpentine, two ounces of apple cider vinegar and one egg in a blender. Simply blend until it is creamy looking and use as a topical liniment. It does not need to be refrigerated, keeps for months when stored in a glass jar with lid and is very effective.

HI U GOOD FOLKS DOIN, , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Well, I began my turpentine treatment this morning by injesting 1/2 tsp soaked in sugar cubes. Dr Daniels' protocol calls for 1 tsp, but I'm kinda chicken and will go slow. I do appreciate your earlier input and will let you know how this wild and strange adventure comes out. I opted to go this way because candida is one tough thing to get into control. A few hours later I took a pslyllium fiber shake containing bentonite clay, diatatamisious earth, cayenne and flax seed meal. Hopefully, as this passes through, it will drag out some of the affected yeast in my intestines. Wed. I will get a Hydrogen Peroxide I.V. to work on those in my blood stream.

Some posters have said they have done battle with these little critters for years. At 76, I need a PDQ treatment. ======RH========

Hi Robert Henry, I noticed a man from the LDN Yahoo Group who is taking kerosene along with Lufenuron (aka dimilin, apparently) to rid himself of candida. (which worked very well) He said he bought it at Lowe's home center, 1K grade, mostly free of sulfur for about $10/gal and takes it (1 T, I believe, but not 100% certain) three times a week. I have no knowledge about the safety of this. He also has cancer and has written interesting protocols he has developed for it, most recently using HCL and water. You might like to join this group and type in the search word kerosene and you will be able to talk to him directly and privately through his email if you hit reply. Best wishes!

Robert Henry: Took my first dose (2 sugar cubes saturated) of 100% Turpentine Dec 29. Got a little heavy aftertaste in the gut fallowing, so I air-popped some corn w/ added sunflower oil & sea salt, fallowed by lemon water (increase the bile flow) and woke up latter in the night feeling unusually light. What improvement I noticed that night has seemed to carry on until now. After only one dose I have been telling myself, albeit w/ some reserve, "I've found a new and powerful ally. "

I am planning another dose tomorrow. Maybe to early to draw any conclusions but compared to the effect of other natural anti-pathogens like Grapefruitseed, Olive Leaf, Neem, Oregano, the Turpentine appears waaay more powerful. I guess it all comes down to potency and Turpentine is a highly distilled pure grade. I experienced no herx or die-off to speak of, although I do use lots of fiber and take peroxide cleansing enemas daily. I also found the taste not at all unpleasant, as-a-matter-of-fact, one might add a dropper to a citrus drink enjoyable.

HI U GOOD PEOPLE DOIN, , , , , , ,

Spent several days on the computer searching for kerosene that can be ingested. Found the 100 % Gum Sperit Turpentine for my Candida treatment and while on that trek, I ran across lots of articles about kerosene to cure cancer. Can anyone shed any light on that kind of kerosene. I have keorsene lanterns, heaters and always have industrial kerosene on hand. Our early ancestors used both to stay healthy. I remember my Granddad used Coal Oil for a poisonous snake bite. He lived to be 88. Appreciate any input you may have on both oils. =======RH=========

Among the top culprits of "bad" vegetable oils is: Trans Fatty Acids, Hydrogenated Veg. Oil like margarine, and V. Oils that have gone rancid. I use very little V. Oil and hardly ever cook with it, but I do add one cap 250mg BHT, one 8,000 iu Vit-A, and one 400 iu mixed natural tocopherols to 1 bottle mixed Veg oil. I supplement Fish Oil softgels as well as Flax Seed Oil softgels and sometimes either Borage or Evening Primrose Oil.

And of course we now have the GMO's to contend with.

Hi CityGirl32... The right forms of Turpentine or Kerosene for supplementation are described in an article by Walter Last shown here:

http://www.health-science-spirit.com/kero.htm

You should also easily be able to buy some of these forms of turps or kerosene -- if not all of them -- quite easily within the US or from the internet.

I would also not advise that your friend brings turpentine back to the US from the Philippines in their luggage because this might cause her some considerable trouble -- turpentine is a flammable solvent and is definitely not allowed on planes now and the airport checks on people coming into America are also fairly rigorous now. So perhaps better and less trouble all round just to order this off the internet or buy within America itself if you can.

Also my warm thanks to Lucena, Suzy, Trina -- and any others that I've missed out-- for posting some wonderful info on the use of Turpentine as a healer.

Rather amusing about the Merck documentation, ha. Also, to take the chance to get things, what else should I send him back with? I seem to remember hearing of different effective things that aren't costly there, that are hard/impossibe to get in the US, but they are scattered all throughout EC website. Thanks for whatever you can suggest.

Because it is a pleasure to read, it gives lot of knowledge. I try to pass on and help people who are ignorent about what good alternate methods can do to their health. God Bless You. Baldev
